We now have a war that the vast majority of us never wanted.  All of our lives are going to be turned upside down, the global economy is going to be absolutely eviscerated, and countless numbers of people are going to die.  I am very angry with Vladimir Putin and the Russians for launching a full-blown invasion, because it didn’t need to happen.  And I am also very angry with the Biden administration because it would have been so easy to find a diplomatic solution to this crisis.  Unfortunately, the time for diplomacy is now over and World War III has begun. The Biden administration may believe otherwise, but the truth is that the days when the United States could dictate how everyone else in the world is going to behave have come to an end.  Russia is demonstrating how weak the U.S. has become by moving troops into Donetsk and Luhansk.  And China keeps talking about a “permanent solution” in Taiwan.  Now that the western world is fixated on Ukraine, the Chinese may decide that this is a perfect time to make a move.  On top of everything else, a major conflict between Israel and Iran could literally erupt at any time, and the Biden administration is not going to be able to prevent it from happening. I have been watching the H5N1 bird flu for a very long time.  Many of my readers don’t even know this, but many years ago I actually had an entire website that was dedicated to tracking the latest news regarding bird flu.  Fortunately, H5N1 hasn’t been a significant threat for ages, but now it is back.  It is spreading very rapidly in birds in North America right now, and some experts are concerned that it could mutate into a version that could begin spreading easily in humans.  If that happens, it would make the COVID pandemic look like a bad joke in comparison, because the death rate for H5N1 in humans is extremely high. After this, the world will never look at Canada the same way again.  Once upon a time, Canada was such a civilized place, but now regime thugs are brutalizing women in the streets.  Many of us were raised at a time when men were still taught to never, ever hit women, and so to see police in Ottawa do what they are doing is beyond shocking.  This is absolutely sickening behavior by Trudeau’s minions, and those involved should go to prison. Canada used to be such a nice place.  I have been up to Canada many times, and every time I visited I was always impressed by how polite everyone was.  I always wondered why Americans couldn’t be more like Canadians, because they certainly possessed certain positive qualities that many of us lacked.  But over the past two years Canada has been transformed into a much different place.  Under Justin Trudeau, the government of Canada has taken a very hard turn toward authoritarianism, and now a nation that was once so united is now more divided than ever. I know that this isn’t exactly going to be welcome news to a lot of people, but bird flu appears to be spreading rapidly in several U.S. states.  Long before COVID ever came along, bird flu was one of the main threats that global health authorities were concerned about.  The good news is that human cases of the bird flu have been fairly rare in recent years, but just like COVID, bird flu has the ability to mutate rapidly.  And when humans do catch bird flu, the death rate can be over 50 percent.  For now, the outbreak in the United States is limited to birds.  It is hitting turkeys, it is hitting chickens, and authorities have informed us that “dozens of wild birds have tested positive along the East Coast in recent weeks”… (Read More...)
