Giant Swarms Of Grasshoppers That Can Be Seen On Radar Are Devouring Crops All Over The Western U.S.

I have written about this before, but this story just got a whole lot stranger.  In previous years, most Americans haven’t been too concerned when giant swarms of insects have devoured crops on the other side of the globe, but now this is actually happening right here in the good old United States of America on a massive scale.  The hot, dry conditions in the western half of the nation have created ideal conditions for grasshoppers to flourish, and millions upon millions of them are now wreaking havoc wherever they go.  In fact, the National Weather Service says that some of the grasshopper swarms are so large that they are showing up on radar(Read More...)

The Huge Magnitude 6.5 Earthquake That Just Hit Idaho Continues Alarming Trend Of Western Quakes

Why has the western United States suddenly been shaking so violently over the past several weeks?  On Tuesday, the constant barrage of headlines about the coronavirus pandemic was interrupted by an enormous earthquake that hit central Idaho.  Of course Idaho is not exactly known for earthquakes, and so this was quite a surprise.  In fact, the largest quake in Idaho history was the magnitude 6.9 Borah Peak earthquake in 1983.  So when a magnitude 6.5 earthquake stuck not too far from Boise on Tuesday, it really stunned a whole lot of people.  And according to the Spokesman-Review, this quake could be felt as far away as Calgary(Read More...)

The Best Places To Live In All 50 U.S. States

We live at a time when Americans are packing up and moving with increasing frequency. Some are moving for new opportunities, some are moving in anticipation of what is coming, and others are moving just because they are bored. As the publisher of The Economic Collapse Blog and The Most Important News, I am frequently asked to give my opinion about a potential move. Of course I often don’t know what to say, because often factors that I don’t fully understand are involved in the decision. For example, someone may be moving somewhere truly horrible for a wonderful new job, or complex family relationships are precipitating a move. But there are some general principles that I share with people, and I will be sharing some of them with you in this article. (Read More...)

UPDATE: After A Nationwide Uproar, Baby Elijah Is Now Home With Mom And Dad

I love it when a tragic story has a happy ending.  Last week I told you all about a mother and a father here in north Idaho that had their newborn child taken away by government bureaucrats right after it was born.  The mother has cerebral palsy, but the truth is that there was absolutely no reason to take that child away from the parents.  In addition to both parents being there, a grandfather also lives in the home, and so there would be plenty of care for the little one.  Well, the good news is that Baby Elijah was restored to Mom and Dad on Friday.  The battle is not over yet, but for the moment this is a major victory. CPS Grabs Newborn Baby From A Disabled Christian Mother After The Parents Expressed A Desire Not To Vaccinate

Sometimes a story comes along that makes your blood boil, and this is one of them.  All over the nation CPS is stealing children from Christian families that express concerns about the safety of vaccines, but I never expected it to happen in north Idaho.  Actually, a large number of families from all over the country have moved to Idaho in recent years specifically because of the vaccine issue.  In Idaho, there is no legal requirement to vaccinate your children, and so no child should ever be taken away because parents do not intend to vaccinate.  Unfortunately, that appears to be what happened in this case. 6 Months To Go Until Election Day, And I Am Praying For Some Help

I need your help if I am going to overcome the vicious attacks that are coming from the left and win on May 15th. I know that most people are focused on preparing for the upcoming holidays this time of the year, but for this campaign crunch time has officially arrived. Idaho’s first congressional district is extremely conservative, and so whoever wins the Republican primary next May is almost certainly going to be the next member of Congress. Since Raul Labrador is running for governor, there is no incumbent in this race, and that means that it is totally wide open. The numbers are telling us that we have a very clear path to victory, but the only way that we will be able to emerge victorious is if we have enough resources to finish the race. This month we were running so low that we actually had to cut back on some of the things that we were planning to do. If this continues, we won’t be able to get our message out as effectively as we need to and another candidate could try to pull an upset victory by simply outspending us. I am praying for some help, and if every one of my readers were to make just a small donation today we would have everything that we need for the rest of the campaign by tomorrow(Read More...)

21 Reasons Why You Should Support Michael Snyder’s Run For Congress

We are starting to take our country back, and good men and women are rising up to run for office all over America.  I want to be part of this movement, and so I am running for Congress in Idaho’s first congressional district.  So how are things going so far?  Well, a brand new online poll conducted by the largest political talk radio station in the state shows that there is a tremendous amount of enthusiasm for my campaign.  People are sick and tired of the status quo in Washington, and the fact that I am not a professional politician is appealing to a lot of people.  But it is still very early, and we need as many people to get involved and to contribute as possible.  It is going to take a tremendous effort to win this race, but there is definitely a very clear path to victory if we work really hard. We Want A Government So Small That We Can Barely See It

We need to fundamentally redefine the relationship between government and the people in this country. Today, we have become so accustomed to big government that most of us can’t even imagine another way of doing things. And I am not just talking about the federal government either. Even in a red state like Idaho, the state government has become a sprawling bureaucracy that requires 3.5 billion dollars a year to keep going. And all over the country many local governments are “supersized” as well. But this isn’t the way that our Founding Fathers intended for things to work. They intended to create a society where government is very limited and where liberty and freedom are maximized. (Read More...)
