Something really strange just happened.  On Monday, large underwater “explosions” were detected in the precise areas of the sea where the Nord Stream pipeline system is now leaking.  In fact, the explosions were so large that they actually registered on the Richter scale.  If someone wanted to purposely damage the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, very large explosions would be needed because those pipelines are extremely thick.  So it appears that this was a deliberate act of sabotage, and that is what many European officials are now alleging.  But if that is the case, who was behind it? Could we actually see a Palestinian state be established within the next year or two?  Just this week, there have been some new developments that have been absolutely stunning.  For the first time in ages, both the president of the United States and the prime minister of Israel are openly calling for the creation of a Palestinian state.  But just a couple of years ago, it seemed like such a move was extremely unlikely.  Donald Trump was in the White House and Benjamin Netanyahu was the prime minister of Israel, and it was clear that a Palestinian state would not happen as long as either one of them was in power.  Now they are both gone, and everything has changed. If heavily armed intruders were trying to break through the door of your home, would you shoot them if they actually succeeded in getting inside?  Most westerners do not realize this, but that is actually how the Russians view the conflict in Ukraine.  They are entirely convinced that this is a life or death struggle with NATO, and almost nightly there is discussion about the possibility of nuclear war on television.  The Russians are deeply scared, and they truly believe that the future of their nation hangs in the balance.  In an existential fight for national survival, there are no limits.  The Russians will do whatever is necessary to ensure the survival of Russia, even if that means causing a global cataclysm. Have you noticed that people seem to be going completely nuts all around us?  Of course there have always been a few people with mental health issues in our society, but these days it seems like some sort of a collective insanity has descended upon our entire nation.  I was curious, and so I decided to look up the dictionary definition of “insanity”.  According to Merriam-Webster, the top definition is “a severely disordered state of the mind usually occurring as a specific disorder”.  When I read that, I thought that “a severely disordered state of the mind” sounds just about right.  Front the White House all the way down, we are witnessing things that we have never seen before.  Vast numbers of people in our society can’t seem to think straight, and that is a major problem. The “American Dream” is not as affordable as it once was.  In fact, tens of millions of Americans are having a really difficult time even affording the basics these days.  As you will see below, an increasing number of people are turning to credit cards and high interest short-term loans just to pay for essentials such as food.  Thanks to a very long series of exceedingly foolish decisions by our leaders, we are now facing a historic inflation crisis.  As a result, the cost of living has been absolutely soaring in recent months.  Of course the vast majority of Americans have not also seen their incomes soar, and so our collective standard of living has been steadily diminishing.  Unfortunately, this crisis isn’t going to be over any time soon, and so that means that American families are going to be squeezed tighter and tighter as we head into 2023. The Russians continue to threaten us with nuclear annihilation.  Why are so few people in the western world alarmed by this?  I think it is because our leaders are assuring everyone that the Russians are all talk and that the odds of a nuclear war actually happening are extremely low.  Meanwhile, both sides just continue to take steps to escalate the war in Ukraine.  We are engaged in an extremely bizarre game of “nuclear chicken”, and both sides truly believe that the other side will blink first.  And so we continue to creep closer and closer to a cataclysmic nuclear conflict, and once the missiles start flying there will be no turning back. Our culture has been completely and utterly turned upside down.  If Americans from 1776 could visit us today, they would be absolutely horrified.  Everything that they considered to be good is now considered to be evil, and everything that they considered to be evil is now considered to be good.  We may pay lip service to the Constitution that they gave us, but the truth is that we have completely rejected all of the values that were the bedrock of their society.  As a result, our culture is rapidly degenerating and we can see evidence of this all around us.
