What Do California And Detroit Have In Common?

When most people think of the economic decline that is happening in America, most of them think of states like California and cities like Detroit.  In both cases, unemployment is rampant, government finances are a mess, and businesses and families are both leaving in droves.  So what is causing this?  What do California and Detroit have in common?  Well, for one thing, both the state of California and the city of Detroit have been run by anti-business socialist control freaks for decades.  Once upon a time millions of young Americans that dreamed of a better life flocked to California and Detroit was one of the most vibrant manufacturing cities in the history of the world.  But now both of them are in an advanced state of decline, and a lot of the blame can be placed at the feet of the politicians in both cases.  Both California and Detroit have become very unfriendly places to businesses and families, so businesses and families have been leaving both California and Detroit in very large numbers.  At the same time, the socialist welfare policies in both places have caused them to become magnets for those that enjoy being dependent on the government.   Welfare recipients are not likely to pack up and move down to Texas because they know that their benefits would not be nearly as good down there.  So both California and Detroit will continue to attract those that want to live under socialist control freaks and it will continue to drive away those that do not want to live under socialist control freaks. The UN Plan For Running The World: Global Carbon Taxes, Global Safety Nets And A One World Green Economy

Did you know that the UN has a plan for running the world and it is right out in the open?  It is called “sustainable development”, but it is far more comprehensive than it sounds.  The truth is that the UN plan for running the world would dramatically alter nearly all forms of human activity.  A 204 page report on “sustainable development” entitled “Working Towards a Balanced and Inclusive Green Economy, A United Nations System-Wide Perspective” has been published in advance of the upcoming Rio + 20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro.  You can read the full report right here.  It envisions a vast system of global carbon taxes, massive global safety nets and the implementation of a one world green economy.  Many of those that are pushing “sustainable development” on a global level believe that they are doing it for the good of the planet.  In fact, the 204 page report mentioned above even says that the transition “to a green economy requires a fundamental shift in the way we think and act” but that it will be worth it in the end.  What people need to understand is that throughout modern history tyranny has almost always been initially introduced by people that believed that they had “good intentions”.  No matter how much friendly language the UN uses in their reports, the truth is that what they are promoting is an insidious agenda of absolute tyranny on a global scale. How are you going to spend your life?  When it is all said and done, how will history remember you?  Unfortunately, these days most people do not spend much time thinking about those kinds of questions.  Most people just kind of stumble through life without any clear direction or meaning.  Sadly, our society makes it far too easy to remain “comfortably numb” the vast majority of the time.  We are absolutely addicted to entertainment and there is more of it available today than ever before – television, movies, music, video games, sports events, food, gambling, shopping – the outlets for feeding our addictions are seemingly endless.  But do you really want to spend your life feeding your addictions and keeping yourself entertained as much as possible?  The following is a saying that has stayed with me my entire life: “Life is like a coin – you can spend it any way that you want, but you can only spend it once.”  If the fact that we are all hurtling through space on this giant rock is just some kind of cosmic accident and life really does not have any meaning, then yes it would make sense to fill up our lives with as much pleasure as possible before we die.  But if life really does have meaning and the things that we do today can have a permanent impact on the future, then perhaps many of us need to start thinking about what kind of legacy we are going to leave behind once we are gone. Kids All Over America Are Being Put On Buses And Sent To Alternate Locations During School Terror Drills

All over the United States, school children are being taken out of their classrooms, put on buses and sent to “alternate locations” during terror drills.  These exercises are often called “evacuation drills” or “relocation drills” and they are more than a little disturbing.  Sometimes parents are notified in advance where the kids are being taken and sometimes they are only told that the children are being taken to an “undisclosed location”.  In the years since 9/11 and the Columbine school shootings, there has been a concerted effort to make school emergency drills much more “realistic” and much more intense.    Unfortunately, the fact that many of these drills are deeply traumatizing many children does not seem to bother too many people.  Do we really need to have “active shooter” drills where men point guns at our kids and fire blanks at them?  Do we really need to have “relocation drills” where kids are rapidly herded on to buses and told that they must surrender their cell phones because they will not be allowed to call anyone?  Our schools more closely resemble prison camps every single day, and it is our children that are suffering because of it.
