Firefighters all over the western part of the country are talking about an unprecedented wildfire season, and we are only in early July.  It is going to get a lot hotter and a lot drier as we move deeper into the summer, and the wildfires are likely to get a whole lot worse.  At this moment, more than 600,000 acres of land are on fire in America.  From California to Colorado and from Alaska to Arizona, extremely violent wildfires are raging out of control as firefighters battle relentlessly to save homes and lives.  Rain is desperately needed, but right now much of the Southwest is experiencing a historic drought.  In fact, things have gotten so bad that some experts are already comparing this drought to the Dust Bowl conditions of the 1930s.  If very high temperatures and extreme drought persist, that is going to continue to create ideal conditions for more wildfires. What Can We Expect During The “Summer Of Rage”? Protests, Violence, Confrontations And Crazy Leftists…

All of the anger that has been building up on the left is about to boil over onto the streets of America.  Actually, to be more accurate, it has already started.  Last weekend, the streets of Portland, Oregon were filled with violence as radical progressives and Trump supporters fought tooth and nail.  And as I wrote about yesterday, Michael Moore and other leftist leaders are calling on progressives to “rise up” and to “put their lives on the line” to defend this country against “fascists” like Donald Trump.  The Senate confirmation hearings for Donald Trump’s nominee for the Supreme Court will be a flashpoint which will focus much of the energy on Washington D.C., but the truth is that we are going to see protests, violence and confrontations all over the nation during this “summer of rage”.   Recent polls have shown that many Americans anticipate that violence is on the horizon, and that is precisely what they are going to get. While most of the world is focused on the World Cup and other trivial pursuits, the three global superpowers are busy jockeying for nuclear superiority.  Historians will debate the extent to which the first Cold War ever really ended, but everyone pretty much agrees that a new Cold War has now begun.  Russia, China and the United States are all racing to develop the next generation of nuclear weapons and delivery systems, and at this moment it is unclear who will ultimately come out on top in this arms race.  In Russia, nearly the entire nation is united behind the push to modernize the Russian strategic nuclear arsenal, but the United States is a deeply divided society today, and most of the population believes other priorities are far more important than developing new weapons.  Of course the United States started out with an edge in this new arms race, but now Russia and China have been working extremely hard to eliminate that edge, and to a large degree they have succeeded.
