Over the past week, a large number of prominent voices have been calling for NATO intervention in Ukraine.  Of course if NATO gets involved in the war, it is the U.S. military that is going to be doing the heavy lifting.  Unfortunately, as you will see below, the U.S. military is actually shrinking because recruiting has become extremely difficult.  So if we actually go into Ukraine, we are going to need a lot more people to volunteer.  Will the talking heads on television that are endlessly advocating for a war with Russia be willing to join up?  Of course not.  Many of our politicians are talking a good game, but needless to say they won’t be going to Ukraine and neither will their children.  The elite always count on someone else to fight their wars for them, but these days it is becoming increasingly challenging to find enough people that are willing to do that. Where in the world did the anti-war movement go?  After the U.S. invaded Afghanistan and Iraq, an extremely vigorous anti-war movement relentlessly protested those wars, and that movement was often greatly aided by voices in the corporate media.  In particular, MSNBC was a persistent thorn in the side of the Bush administration, because day after day it would feature voices that were passionately against the wars.  But now everything has changed.  These days, MSNBC is beating the war drums more loudly than anyone else.  I realize that this doesn’t seem to make any sense, but it is true. Which looming global conflict shall I talk about today?  It appears that there won’t be a ceasefire in Ukraine for the foreseeable future, I believe that China is seriously considering a full-blown invasion of Taiwan, and an extremely violent conflict between Israel and Iran could literally erupt at any moment.  But today I think that I will focus on a hotspot that is not getting nearly as much attention as it deserves.  Tensions are rising between North Korea and South Korea once again, and if a shooting war erupts on the Korean peninsula it could easily result in tens of millions of deaths.  North Korea possesses nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, and I am entirely convinced that Kim Jong-Un is crazy enough to use them. Do you ever feel like you are banging your head into a wall?  I certainly do.  For years, I have been trying to warn people about very specific things that were coming, and now many of those things are literally making headlines on a daily basis.  You would think that should be enough to wake most people up, but unfortunately most of the population is still in a deep state of sleep.  Thankfully, there is a sizable minority that is awake, and I have been hearing from so many of you.  In recent weeks so many readers have told me that they feel like really bad times are ahead of us, and if you feel that way too I want you to know that you aren’t alone. Over the past month, we have heard about a lot of horrible things that are happening on the other side of the globe.  In particular, I have been greatly distressed to hear accounts of prisoners of war being shot in the knees or tortured in other ways in Ukraine.  Mistreatment of prisoners of war definitely deserves news coverage, but there are many other crimes against humanity that happen on a daily basis that never receive any news coverage at all.  Globally, there is one minority group that is oppressed, persecuted and violently attacked far more than any other.  But the mainstream media never talks about it, because the minority group that I am referring to is Christians. I simply do not understand why so many on the left and so many on the right seem determined to push us into a military conflict with Russia.  If we get into a shooting war with Russia, one side or the other will inevitably decide that they want to use their nuclear weapons before the other side conducts a surprise first strike of their own.  But no matter who strikes first, the whole world would lose, because the vast majority of the global population would end up dead within a few years.  This is why I have been so adamant about trying to find a peaceful solution to the crisis in Ukraine.  If we have a nuclear conflict with Russia, the vast majority of you that are reading this article would die.
