Homelessness Is Becoming A Crisis Of Epic Proportions In The United States

Can you imagine what it would be like to not have a home?  For many Americans, this is not something that they need to imagine because it is a daily reality.  Nobody knows for sure how many homeless individuals there are in this country, but recent estimates range from “fewer than 600,000 to more than 1.5 million people”, and everyone agrees that the number has been growing.  Even as the wealthy engage in wild bidding wars over the most desirable properties, more impoverished Americans are being forced into the streets with each passing day.  There has always been homelessness in America, but here in 2021 it is rapidly becoming a crisis of epic proportions. Frustrated Homebuyers Are Competing With Investment Funds That Are Literally Buying Up Entire Neighborhoods

Home prices have been rising aggressively all over the nation this year, and this has caused a tremendous amount of frustration among ordinary Americans that are looking for something to buy.  As I have detailed in previous articles, we have often seen ferocious bidding wars break out for the most desirable properties, and many homes end up selling for way over asking price.  Unfortunately, many potential home buyers don’t even realize that they may be competing with investment funds, billionaires and wealth foreigners.  Gobbling up homes is now considered to be a way to make huge returns very rapidly.  Once homes are purchased, they are either flipped quickly for a large profit or they are rented out at very aggressive rates.  Meanwhile, it is becoming a lot more difficult for ordinary Americans to find affordable places to live. Global Supplies Of Wheat, Corn And Soybeans Are “Shrinking”, And This Is Causing Hunger To Explode All Over The Planet

It turns out that things are even worse than we originally thought.  Did you know that global supplies of wheat are shrinking?  If that wasn’t bad enough, global supplies of corn and soybeans are shrinking as well.  As a result, prices for all three have been soaring and the number of hungry people around the planet is rapidly rising.  The COVID pandemic, widespread crop failures and global supply chain disruptions are some of the factors that are being blamed for this growing crisis.  Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that things will get much better any time soon.  In fact, Forbes is telling us that we should not expect to see things turn around “until late 2022 – or beyond”(Read More...)

The Wildest Home Buying Binge In U.S. History Has Pushed Home Prices To Hyperinflationary Levels

All over America, we are witnessing crazy bidding wars for the limited number of homes that are on the market.  In many areas, the moment a desirable home goes on the market potential buyers start making offers that are tens of thousands of dollars above asking price.  Not even in the days before the housing bubble burst in 2008 did we see anything like this.  As I have discussed in previous articles, in some cases more than 100 offers are coming in for a single home.  It is actually an understatement to call what we are watching a “frenzy”, and there are no signs that it is going to cool down any time soon. Yes, America Is On The Verge Of Yet Another Toilet Paper Crisis

It is starting to happen again.  Do you remember how “panic buying” caused a massive shortage of toilet paper and other basic essentials during the early days of the COVID pandemic last year?  Well, shortages are back, but this time around different factors are at play.  We are being told that the shortages should just be temporary, and that is good news.  But this is yet another example that shows how exceedingly vulnerable global supply chains have become in this day and age.  If another major global crisis were to suddenly strike, we could quickly be facing long-term shortages of certain items that would be quite severe.  So hopefully this short-term toilet paper shortage will be a wake up call for all of us.  The following comes from Yahoo News(Read More...)

How Many “2 Minute Warnings” Do Americans Need?

After everything that has taken place over the past year, there shouldn’t be a need to sound the alarm any longer, because everyone should be awake by now.  But of course that is not the case.  At this moment, the vast majority of the population is still dead asleep.  This greatly frustrates me, because there has been warning after warning, but most people choose not to listen.  Since I am a sports fan, I like to use sports analogies, and to me it certainly appears that we have been given a series of “2 minute warnings” over the past 12 months.  Humanity is steamrolling toward disaster, and time is running out.  Unfortunately, to a very large extent the warnings are not being taken seriously. If You Believe Life Will “Return To Normal”, You Have A Fundamental Misunderstanding Of The Times In Which We Live

Despite all of the craziness that is going on out there, many pundits are trying to convince us that life will soon “return to normal” and that great days are just around the corner.  They are telling us this despite the fact that the state of Texas has been in a state of collapse this week, the real economy continues to implode, the unemployment numbers are going up, civil unrest continues to rage in our streets on a nightly basis, and our entire planet continues to become even more unstable.  Those that believe that happy days are here again have a fundamental misunderstanding of the times in which we live.  This isn’t a period of time when America is going to “build back better”.  Rather, this is a time when America is going to go even deeper into “the perfect storm”. When We Teach Our Kids That Life Has No Value, This Is How They Act…

The endless chaos in our streets is directly related to how we have been raising our children for the past couple of decades.  Bad beliefs lead to bad actions, and we have been teaching our kids values that are fundamentally flawed.  In particular, our children are endlessly taught that life has no value in a multitude of ways.  They view thousands of murders on television and in the movies as they grow up, the news glorifies politicians that tell them that it is a good thing to slaughter the unborn, and western nations are increasingly embracing the idea that older people should be willing to ask for the “plug to be pulled” once their “usefulness” is over.  Throughout their lives, our kids are trained to believe that they evolved from animals and that there is nothingness after they die, and the logical conclusion of such a worldview is that the period of time between birth and death is rather meaningless.
