A teacher down in Louisiana recently had her 2nd grade students write about an invention that they wish had never been created, and what one little girl wrote about her mother’s cell phone is going viral all over social media. In fact, the post has already been shared over a quarter of a million times on Facebook. Teacher Jen Beason didn’t reveal the identity of the little girl, but she originally shared what she had written on Facebook to encourage parents to get off of their cell phones and to start spending more time with their children. Drought Conditions In The Southwest Are So Bad That They Are Already Being Compared To The Dust Bowl Of The 1930s

The worst drought to hit the Southwest in decades continues to grow even worse, and many are already comparing this current crisis to the Dust Bowl days of the 1930s.  Agricultural production is way down, major rivers are running dry, and horses are dropping dead from a lack of water.  The epicenter of this drought is where the states of Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico all come together, but it is also devastating areas of north Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas as well.  Portions of seven states are already at the highest level of drought on the scale that scientists use, and summer won’t even start for about another two months.  If we don’t start seeing some significant rainfall, it won’t be too long before massive dust storms start devastating the entire region.  The mainstream media is finally beginning to wake up and start reporting on this crisis, and some reporters are choosing to make a direct comparison between this drought and the Dust Bowl conditions during the Great Depression… (Read More...)

Did We Just Get Photographic Evidence That Angels Are Real?

Could it be possible that the figure in this photo is exactly what it appears to be?  A Michigan man named Glen Thorman is completely convinced that he captured an image of an angel with a drawn sword on a security camera outside his home in East Jordan, Michigan.  So are we looking at photographic evidence that angels really exist, or is something else going on here?  This photo has sparked a tremendous amount of debate on social media, and some naysayers have even accused Mr. Thorman of doctoring the image.  Of course that is always possible, but why would he do that?  And if the image is examined and no evidence of manipulation is found, will the skeptics be satisfied then?  Sadly, some people will never be satisfied unless they have a personal encounter with an angel themselves, and even then many skeptics would still refuse to believe. LGBT Community Applauds Pope Francis For Telling A Gay Man That “God Made You Like This”

Is the Catholic Church about to fundamentally change the way that it deals with the LGBT community?  According to Spanish newspaper El Pais, Pope Francis made some incredibly revealing comments during a private conversation that he had with a victim of sexual abuse named Juan Carlos Cruz.  During that private conversation, the Pope reportedly told Cruz that he is gay because God made him that way and that he should be happy with who he is.  These comments by the Pope are making headlines all over the planet, and many are wondering if we are about to witness an enormous shift in direction by the largest religious institution on the entire planet. New Ebola Outbreak Reaches A Major City In Congo As The WHO Warns About The Possibility Of “An Explosive Increase In Cases”

The worst Ebola outbreak in a number of years has health officials on high alert, and the fact that a case is now being reported in a major city is extremely concerning.  As we have seen during past outbreaks, Ebola can spread very rapidly, and the mortality rate during an outbreak is often above 50 percent.  A few years ago, just rumors that Ebola might start spreading inside the United States caused quite a bit of panic out there.  Let us hope that this current outbreak is brought under control quickly, because Ebola is a horrible, horrible disease. Thank You

As this campaign ends, one of the saddest things for me is saying goodbye to the best team of volunteers in the entire state of Idaho. I cannot possibly thank all of you enough for all that you have done, and I wish that I could have produced a better result for you. Over the past year I have made so many new friends that I know that I will have for the rest of my life, and I cannot even begin to describe how much of a blessing that you have been to Meranda and I. It is going to take us some time to recover from this, but eventually we will do just that. And I want you to know that Meranda and I truly love you all.
