Abstract Geometric World - Public DomainWhat happens when the two largest economies on the planet start fighting a trade war with one another?  Well, we are about to find out.  As you will see below, the U.S. has gone “nuclear” on China in a trade dispute over steel, and the Chinese response is likely to be at least as strong.  Meanwhile, events in the South China Sea have brought tensions between the Chinese government and the Obama administration to a boiling point.  The Obama administration strongly insists that China does not have a legal right to those islands, and in China there is now talk that it may ultimately be necessary to confront the United States militarily in order keep control of them.  Most Americans may not realize this, but the relationship between the United States and China is officially going down the tubes, and this is likely to have very significant consequences during the years to come. Something Has Shifted And Things Have Suddenly Become A Whole Lot More Serious

Foreshock? A Significant Earthquake Just Hit The New Madrid Fault Seismic Zone

Kentucky 3.5 EarthquakeCould the earthquake that just struck the New Madrid fault seismic zone near the town of La Center, Kentucky be a “foreshock” for a much bigger quake yet to come?  Very early on Sunday morning, a magnitude 3.5 earthquake hit western Kentucky, and it was felt in parts of three other states as well.  In fact, it is being reported that the quake could be felt all the way over in Miller, Missouri, which is 267 miles away.  The New Madrid fault seismic zone is six times larger than the more famous San Andreas fault zone in California, and it covers portions of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi.  Scientists tell us that the New Madrid fault is about 30 years overdue for a major event, and because of the nature of the Earth’s crust in that part of the country, a major earthquake would do significant damage all the way to the east coast. Planet Nine Or Planet X? New Evidence Of A Mystery Object On The Periphery Of Our Solar System

Planet X - Public DomainAn astronomer at Caltech says that new evidence has been discovered that indicates that there is a massive planet lurking somewhere on the outer edges of our solar system.  It has been dubbed “Planet Nine”, but that is only because Pluto is not considered to be a planet anymore.  If we included Pluto, this new astronomical body would be known as “Planet Ten” or “Planet X”, but scientists try very hard to avoid using the phrase “Planet X” because it is associated with so many “conspiracy theories”.  Based on the new evidence that has emerged, it is believed that Planet Nine is approximately 20 times further away from the sun than Neptune is, and it is being projected that it would take somewhere between 10,000 and 20,000 years for this planet to make one trip around the sun. Housing Crash?: U.S. Existing Home Sales Fall By The Most In Six Years

Home For Sale - Public DomainWe just got more evidence that a major economic slowdown is underway here in the United States.  Existing home sales were down a whopping 7.1 percent during the month of February, and this represented the biggest decline that we have seen in six years.  This is yet another sign that we are in the early stages of a new crisis that is eerily reminiscent of what happened back in 2008.  The truth is that most U.S. consumers are tapped out, and when you are tapped out it is really hard to get a mortgage.  Banks aren’t really fond of lending money to people that can’t pay it back, and in recent years housing prices in many areas have risen to levels that are beyond the reach of most middle class families. Nuclear War With North Korea Coming?

North Korea Is CrazyOn Sunday, North Korea warned the United States that it could wipe out Manhattan with a single hydrogen bomb, and earlier this month North Korea threatened to make a “preemptive and offensive nuclear strike” on the United States in response to aggressive military exercises currently being jointly conducted by South Korea and the U.S. military.  So does nuclear war with North Korea actually pose a significant security risk to this country?  Well, according to the Washington Post the entire west coast of the United States is within reach of North Korea’s intercontinental ballistic missiles.  The only question is whether or not North Korea’s ultra-paranoid leader Kim Jong Un would ever actually press the button. Never Before Has America Been Hit By So Many Historic Floods In Such a Short Period Of Time

Flooding - Public DomainThe United States has been hit by seven historic floods since the month of September, and the latest one is making headlines all over the planet.  This week, nearly two feet of rain triggered record-setting flooding in parts of Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi, and more rain is expected for the area as we move into the weekend.  Flooding along one part of the Sabine River has already broken the previous record by more than five feet, and this crisis is far from over.  Of course this just continues a trend that I have been documenting for months now.  Never before in U.S. history have we ever seen so many historic floods in such a compressed time frame.
