Why Threaten North Korea And China? Would Obama Start A War To Stay In Office?

Obama In The Oval Office - Public DomainIs Barack Obama trying to start a war, and will that war be used as an excuse to stay in office once his term is over?  Late in his second term, Obama is starting to become extremely aggressive with the rest of the world.  He just angered China by sailing an aircraft carrier task force past disputed islands in the South China Sea, he is provoking North Korea by simulating an invasion of that nation during a military exercise that is going to involve more than 300,000 troops, and he is backing Saudi Arabia and Turkey as they make moves that could very well start World War III in the Middle East.  If a war did begin, that could give Obama the excuse that he needs to exercise his emergency powers, and that could potentially include suspending the election that is scheduled for November.

I know that all of this sounds a little bizarre, but it would help to explain Obama’s extremely aggressive behavior lately.

For example, why is the U.S. military risking a major incident on the Korean peninsula?

North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un is about as paranoid as they come, and he is extremely alarmed by the massive military exercise that is about to begin in South Korea.  More than 300,000 troops are gathering for what is being billed as the biggest military exercise in the history of that nation.

Reportedly, U.S. and South Korean forces plan to simulate an invasion of North Korea and practice the elimination of North Korea’s weapons of mass destruction.

In response to these “exercises”, Kim Jong Un has placed his nuclear weapons on standby for “use at any moment”, and he is warning that North Korea may launch a “preemptive and offensive nuclear strike”

North Korea warned it would make a “preemptive and offensive nuclear strike” in response to joint U.S.-South Korean military exercises that began Monday.

The news was announced in a statement by the National Defense Commission of North Korea and published in the state-run Korean Central News Agency.

As the joint military exercises to be staged by the enemies are regarded as the most undisguised nuclear war drills aimed to infringe upon the sovereignty of the DPRK, its military counteraction will be more preemptive and offensive nuclear strike to cope with them,” the statement read.

I don’t care how crazy someone is – if they have nuclear weapons and they threaten to hit the United States with a preemptive nuclear strike, I am going to get alarmed.

Remember, North Korea did claim to successfully test a hydrogen bomb in January, and the North Koreans did successfully launch a satellite into orbit in February.

The North Koreans absolutely hate us.  In fact, hatred for the United States is one of the pillars of their society.  I know that may sound strange to many Americans, but it is true.  If you can believe it, each year they actually have an entire month during which hatred for America is celebrated.

Tensions on the Korean peninsula are running extremely high, and a single hydrogen bomb could potentially kill millions of people.

So why risk an incident?

Why provoke North Korea more than necessary?

Meanwhile, the Obama administration has been provoking China in the South China Sea.

Yes, it is a problem that China has seized control of several important islands in the Spratly and Paracel island chains.  But there are other ways to handle this crisis rather than trying to show how tough you are.

Last month, China deployed surface-to-air missile systems on the disputed islands.  Obama’s response was to sail an aircraft carrier task force past the islands to see if China would start shooting at it.  The following comes from an article about this incident that was posted by the Navy Times

The U.S. Navy has dispatched a small armada to the South China Sea.

The carrier John C. Stennis, two destroyers, two cruisers and the 7th Fleet flagship have sailed into the disputed waters in recent days, according to military officials. The carrier strike group is the latest show of force in the tense region, with the U.S. asserting that China is militarizing the region to guard its excessive territorial claims.

Stennis is joined in the region by the cruisers Antietam and Mobile Bay, and the destroyers Chung-Hoon and Stockdale. The command ship Blue Ridge, the floating headquarters of the Japan-based 7th Fleet, is also in the area, en route to a port visit in the Philippines. Stennis deployed from Washington state on Jan. 15.

Do we really want to go to war with China over these islands?

The first time we sailed a military vessel through those waters after China had claimed those islands, a Chinese state-run newspaper boldly declared that China “is not frightened to fight a war with the U.S. in the region“.

Most Americans don’t realize this, but our relationship with China is rapidly going downhill.  There is more to this than just the South China Sea, but without a doubt this is a major point of contention as far as the Chinese government is concerned.

At the same time, we keep getting closer to World War III erupting in the Middle East.  Last month, defense ministers from 49 different nations met in Brussels to discuss a ground invasion of Syria, and since that time forces have been massing in northern Saudi Arabia and southern Turkey.

If a ground invasion of Syria does take place, the goal would be to go to Damascus and take down the Assad regime.  That would put “coalition forces” in direct conflict with Iran, Hezbollah and most importantly the Russians.  It could very easily be the spark that sets off World War III, but Saudi Arabia, Turkey and their allies will never go ahead without the direct approval of the Obama administration.

Barack Obama does not need all of these flashpoints to erupt in order to evoke his emergency powers.

He just needs one of them.

Throughout American history, presidents have always had emergency powers, but since 9/11 these powers have been greatly enhanced.  Given the right circumstances, a U.S. president could now essentially declare himself (or herself) a dictator for the duration of the crisis.

Of course the word “dictator” would never actually be used, but that would be the reality of the situation.

And if we had a “national emergency” that was bad enough, Barack Obama would have the authority to postpone or suspend the upcoming election.

Let us hope and pray that does not happen, but the truth is that such a scenario could actually take place.  Hopefully what we are witnessing around the globe right now are not attempts by Obama to artificially manufacture such a crisis.  Let us hope and pray that when his time is up that Obama is ready to gracefully move into retirement.

    Whatever happens will happen.

I would not take seriously this typical and usual sabre-rattling of those North Korean maniacs as it resembles a loudly barking chihuahua. How many times NK regime was making those pathetic threats and never materialize it? So we should relax. They won’t risk a total annihilation in nuclear fire if they try to do something very stupid, like attacking the South Korea with WMD.

  • Scalenguy

You neglected to include the additional stringent UN sanctions imposed against N. Korea on Mar. 2nd even garnering a ‘yes’ vote by China, who’s also had their fill of the bowl cut kid. You take away their Cognac (at least that’s what daddy Jong-il coveted) as well as provoke them with military exercises, they might really be convinced it’s ‘end game’ and do the unthinkable. And the fact the US and SK plan on carrying out the exercises that will last for almost two months until the end of April, that is only going to increase the tension on the already itchy trigger finger. Dangerous game being played for sure.

  • Alice Young

also on why threaten china, usa just placed sanctions on chinese company zte. the chinese gvmnt response, chinese companies are advised and should make all efforts at once to remove the usa from their supply chains as they are not to be trusted. Thats going to end well………..

Israel is the canary in the tunnel. When things go hot with them then I will worry but until then I will keep working and to further the Kingdom of God.

    • Chris Gerber

Yep.. Israel is the key to Bible prophecy. What happens with them is the center ring event(s) that must be watched as for a signal.

  • Be Still

Obama wants to be UN Sec. Gen. In his mind ruler of the world so more than likely he will leave office.

    • amongoose

Unless it looks like a republican will win the election, especially Trump.

  • RhooLyn

We all know Barry will not “gracefully move into retirement” but rather aggressively take the position of Secretary General of the U.N. and place Bill Clinton as U.S. Ambassador in the U.N..

    • Joan Camara

Yup, it’s all over the internet. If someone just puts in “Obama” and “UN”, in their search box, they’ll see many websites are covering that. Even mainstream news, such as the washington times.

  • With Fortitude

We don’t want to increase tensions in the region because BHO may get a 3rd term; really? Wait, now that you mention it Michael it would be better to have Trump in office for WW3. Good call!

We owe China a lot of money.
IF China or North Korea starts a World War then all debts are canceled. All money in U.S. hands is confiscated.
    Is that motivation enough?
China and especially North Korea are being played for suckers in this matter.
So if they invade South Korea, and South Korea has been training army troops since the 1950s, I am not sure they even need our help to over throw North Korea. It may collapse from within.
Now if big brother Red China steps in that is a different story entirely.
If the United States does participate it is likely going to be with combat air command going in above the ground and decimating anything in its path all the way to the Junction of the river between China and North Korea.
What needs to happen is a major change in North Korea. China is actually very embarrassed by what is going on there. North Korea is poor as a church mouse.
The people are near starvation because the north has always been an industrial complex rather than an agricultural one. South Korea has most of the farm land to produce food.
The south has done well since the 1960s when the currency collapsed. They have taken their place as a major industrial partner and even have their own car company in place here and it has improved a lot since it first started.
While I doubt if South Korea has nuclear weapons, they do have a very good industrial complex and they are not starving like the north is.
Nuclear is over rated! For one thing the backlash of radioactivity kills the launcher just as much as it does the victim.
What they do have is an army quite capable of using helicopters and tanks. Quite capable of using the latest and greatest conventional weapons that we have and will supply if necessary.
It will also deeply involve Japan as the radioactivity spreads in clouds there. Which means they may have a major conflict involving more than one nation. That does not even take into consideration the U.S. Armed forces.
North Korea is capable of holding in safer mountain facilities. They would need to be rooted out. Meaning setting off dynamite charges down the shafts so they have no way of ever getting out.
Probably C4 explosives in the modern world.
Why kill the goose that lays the golden eggs?
Because if China participates in this, they are going to lose their economic base which is us.
There are many nations willing to step in and take over if China goes forward with this. Many willing to put factories from the United States in their countries instead of China.
China going to war with us? For China, that is insane. They have so much more to lose taking that path. I would say they stand to lose trillions of money in dollars.
There is a saying in the Far East. The people that feed China rule China as long as they feed it. When they no longer feed China then they are overthrown by the Chinese people themselves.
In 1971, or thereabouts, China became our economic partner. The result was thousands of people that would have starved now had jobs and were fed.
North Korea was not so lucky. They are a fundamentalist Communist Country with a firm dictator in charge. Their people have been near starvation for a long time.
I suggest they need a new way to feed themselves. Because the old way is not working very well.
Threatening the United States with nuclear war is suicide.
They need to get a better way of doing things.
The hybrid economy of China has proven very good at feeding the people. It is time the North Koreans came to the table and worked out a method so they too can feed at that table.

All plausible scenarios – but Israel is still the key as was mentioned previously in the comments – with Jerusalem at the center. Bible prophecy is 100% accurate – 100% of the time. There will be “distress of nations with perplexity” coming – perhaps we are witnessing the beginnings of that.

      Or this:

    First the disclaimer:
I am the most conservative person in the world. I despise the liberal/leftist/socialist/Marxist Democrat Party. I despise RINOs even more.

As for China, the United States cannot allow currently free waters to come under communist rule and restrictions. We must stand up to China.

As for North Korea, we must also stand up to that communist bully. Everyone knows that if you appear to be afraid of a bully, the bullying only increases.

As for Syria, Hussein Obama has seriously botched the job and now he is almost out of options. Therefore he must back our allies’ moves.

I’m not saying that Hussein Obama, the illegal alien muslim, won’t suspend the elections and stay in office.
I’m just saying that there may be other motives behind these military moves he’s making.

    • lookinforawayout

As for all three scenarios – God is in control!

    • CharlesH

I’m in your camp – I see it much the way you do.

    • Just Sayin´

“As for China, the United States cannot allow currently free waters to come under communist rule and restrictions. We must stand up to China.”

So? Next tsunamies are going to destroy them anywhay, that is the thing with sand castles.

“As for North Korea, we must also stand up to that communist bully. Everyone knows that if you appear to be afraid of a bully, the bullying only increases.”

Was it them that put a trade embargo on the US in the 1990s to force Bill Clinton into surrendering US sovereignity? Nope.
Simulate an attack on South Korea?

“Therefore he must back our allies’ moves.”

That includes Al-Quaida. Jihadist rats supported by wannabe Caliph Erdogan.

No mistakes, “neo-con” vermine pretends to stand up against communism but always have been in bed with the cultural-marxists, including Bernie Sanders.

    • Gay Veteran

“…As for China, the United States cannot allow currently free waters to come under communist rule and restrictions. We must stand up to China….”

China depends on those waters for trade.
and who is this “we”, you and your fellow neo-cons?

      what American needs to do:
      1. bring the troops home
      2. seal the borders (no more illegal immigration)
      3. rebuild America (instead of wasting $TRILLIONS on empire).
      NO foreign entanglements

  • Joan Camara

I believe this might start WWIII….
Isaiah 17:1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

    • John Noyb

BTW – you should google “pictures of Damascus before and after” – pretty amazing to see the phenomenal amount of destruction that has already taken place there.

      • Joan Camara

Yeah, ok, sure….you want to deny the truth of what the bible says, I get that…..but guess what….Damascus still stands as a city…TODAY!!

        • John Noyb

No, that was far from my intention to deny the truth of the Bible – I am a sold-out-the-whole-route-completely- born again believer in Jesus. I believe every word in the Bible is pure truth. I just thought the pictures were amazing to see the amount destruction that has already happened there. I know Damascus still stands and Isaiah 17:1 has not been fullfilled yet. I do believe the day is soon coming though as well as the day of our going home! Maranatha!

          • Joan Camara

Good, I’m glad you see that Isaiah 17:1 hasn’t happened yet then. As for going home soon, we still have to wait for a 7 year peace plan or treaty between Israel and Palestine, which I, and many believe, will start the 7 year tribulation period. What horror that will be for the sinners, atheists, unbelievers, and the evil ones! We’ll have Revelation coming in full bloom, with the bowls (vials), the trumpets, the seals, etc etc…all the judgements are coming!

  • Lamont Cranston

The article above appears to be essentially correct on the facts, but I doubt the author understands the reason Obama is risking WW3 by his provocations of Russia, China and North Korea. He is doing it because he is a puppet of British foreign policy aims. The fact is that we in the West live in a free trade empire that is collapsing under its own weight largely due to huge risky derivative gambling and inefficient mechanisms for looting wealth. At the same time, Russia, China, Brazil, India and South Africa are leading an effort to create a geo-economic system that can survive the collapse of the Western financial system. The banking oligarchs are pushing Obama and the other Western countries to disrupt or destroy the effort of the BRICS nations and the others that have joined this new alliance. In essence, Obama along with his masters are pursuing the old 19th Century imperialism with a 21st Century twist. That is why Obama has deployed the military and the CIA to create these trouble spots around the world. For the bankers and the neocons who express their views in the political and in the national security realms, the answer to their own foolish gambling and theft is to attack the rest of the world. To stop Obama you must first stop the banking class of Wall St. and London and their partners in such other regions as Saudi Arabia and Israel and Hong Kong. These money centers are the roots of the threat of World War Three.

“But there are other ways to handle this crisis rather than trying to show how tough you are.” Come on really? If he wasn’t doing enough you would criticize him for being weak. You can’t have it both ways. I am not a fan of Obama or his politics but that is a hypocritical statement.
