Everybody agrees that healthcare costs are way too high.  Back in 1960, healthcare spending accounted for approximately 5 percent of GDP, and by 2020 it is being projected that healthcare spending will account for 20 percent of GDP.  And when you break those numbers down into actual dollars, they become even more staggering.  Back in 1960, an average of $146 was spent on healthcare per person for the entire year, but today that number has skyrocketed to $9,990.  On a per capita basis, we spend far more than anyone else in the world on healthcare.  In fact, we spend almost twice as much as most other industrialized nations on a per capita basis.  Something has gone terribly wrong, and we desperately need to get this fixed. We Are Heading For The Greatest Doctor Shortage In American History

Emergency Room - Photo by Thierry GeoffroyThe United States already has an emerging shortage of doctors, and thanks to Obamacare that shortage is about to become much, much worse.  Right now, the U.S. has close to a million doctors, and about half of them are over the age of 50.  Many of them are beginning to wonder if practicing medicine is worth it anymore.  In some specialties, treating Medicaid and Medicare patients pays so little that many doctors are now turning them away.  Other doctors are charging their regular patients enormous amounts in order to make up for the money that they are losing on Medicaid and Medicare patients.  And of course the paperwork and the red tape imposed on doctors by the health insurance companies and the federal government gets worse with each passing year.  Some doctors actually spend more time filling out paperwork and dealing with red tape than they do seeing patients.  On top of everything else, there is the constant and never-ending threat of being sued by predatory lawyers and losing everything.  The giant malpractice insurance premiums that many doctors have to pay are an extreme financial burden on many practices.  When you add it all together, it really is not surprising to learn that large numbers of doctors all over the nation are being driven into bankruptcy.  Unfortunately, Obamacare is going to make all of the problems that I have just discussed even worse.  This is going to result in much longer waits to see a doctor, and the level of health care in this country is going to go down substantially. The Elite Are Attempting To Convince Us That Killing Off Our Sick Grandparents Is Cool And Trendy

What should be done with elderly Americans when they become very seriously ill?  Should we try to save their lives or should we just let them die?  Unfortunately, there is a growing consensus among the “intellectual elite” that most elderly people are not going to have a high enough “quality of life” to justify the expense of costly life saving procedures.  This philosophy is now being promoted very heavily through mainstream news outlets, in our television shows and in big Hollywood movies.  The elite are attempting to convince us that killing off our sick grandparents is cool and trendy.  We are being told that “pulling the plug” on grandma and grandpa is compassionate (because it will end their suffering), that it is good for the environment and that it is even good for the economy.  We are being told that denying life saving treatments to old people will dramatically reduce health care costs and make the system better for all of us. We are being told that it is not “efficient” for health insurance companies to shell out $100,000 for an operation that may extend the life of an elderly person by 6 months.  But the truth is that all of this is part of a larger agenda that the elite are attempting to advance.  As I have written about previously, the elite love death, and they truly believe that reducing the population is good for society and good for the planet.  Sadly, population control propaganda has reached a fever pitch in recent months. No Doctor For You: How The Federal Government Is Chasing Millions Of Good Doctors Out Of The Medical Profession

Most Americans do not realize this, but we are on the verge of a major doctor shortage in the United States.  All over America, good doctors are going broke.  The way that our health care system is currently set up, they simply cannot make it.  These days a lot of politicians are warning us about the dangers of “socialized medicine”, but the truth is that we already have it.  About half of all health care dollars in the United States are now spent by the federal government, and a lot of health insurance companies base reimbursements on what the federal government does.  In addition, there are a whole host of parasites that have gotten between the doctor and the patient these days.  Everyone wants a piece of the health care pie.  Health insurance companies, pharmaceutical giants, lawyers, health care “administrators” and government bureaucrats all make a sweet living off of the doctor/patient relationship.  It really is sickening.  And now Obamacare is going to make things much, much worse.  As you will read about later in this article, a stunning percentage of doctors say that they plan to leave the medical profession because of Obamacare.  What this means is that we are headed for a chronic doctor shortage and there is a good chance that there will be no doctor for you when you really need one in the years ahead.
