Shocking Red Flags! 25 Signs That Wickedness And Evil Are Rapidly Growing In America

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

Americans have typically viewed themselves as some of the most “good” and “moral” people on the face of the earth.  But is this actually still true today?  Or have things fundamentally changed?  The truth is that so many of us are so busy trying to make money and chasing after the American Dream that we don’t even realize what is happening to our society.  The reality is that the United States is facing a moral crisis of unprecedented magnitude.  Wickedness and evil are rapidly growing in America, and as much as people don’t want to hear it, no “political solution” is going to work unless the United States finds a way to stop this horrific moral decline as well.  A lot of people out there think that they have “an economic formula” or a “political philosophy” that will “fix” America, but every single one of them is wrong.  Nothing will “fix” America unless the moral and spiritual problems are addressed as well.  Unfortunately, each year things just seem to get even worse.  The following are 25 signs that wickedness and evil are out of control in America….

#25) Many people have moved to places like Montana in an effort to escape the evil that is sweeping across America.  But even Montana is rapidly changing.  One public school system in Montana is considering a comprehensive sex education plan that includes teaching first grade students that people can be sexually attracted to the same gender.  10 year old students would be taught about “various types” of sexual intercourse.

#24) In a sign of just how materialistic our society has become, one new poll found that 61% of all Americans between the ages of 44 and 75 say that running out money is their biggest fear.

#23) U.S. health officials recently announced that approximately 16 percent of all Americans between the ages of 14 and 49 are infected with genital herpes.  Keep in mind that herpes is just one of dozens of sexually-transmitted diseases that are out there.

#22) A bipartisan bill recently introduced in the U.S. Senate would require all U.S. airports to use the new full-body security scanners that can see the details of our naked bodies right through our clothing.

#21) Scientists at Columbia University are warning that the dose of radiation from the new full body security scanners going into airports all over the United States could be up to 20 times higher than originally estimated.  Yet authorities are going to force us to walk through them and get fried with massive doses of radiation anyway.

#20) It was recently reported that 115 girls at just one high school in Chicago either already have a baby or were currently pregnant.

#19) More than 70% of all males in the United States between the ages of 18 and 34 visit at least one pornographic website in a typical month.

#18) One California couple recently attempted to sell their six month old baby for $25 outside a Wal-mart.

#17) Some time ago, a Focus on the Family survey discovered that 47% percent of all American families said that pornography is a problem in their home.

#16) In a world where terrorism is perceived to be the greatest threat, the U.S. government is increasingly feeling the need to watch, track, trace and control virtually everything that we do.

#15) A 10 year old boy was recently named the grand marshal for a gay-pride parade in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

#14) It is estimated that 89 percent of all pornography is produced inside the United States.  About 11 percent is made in the rest of the world.

#13) During a recent television interview with Larry King, former first lady Laura Bush revealed to the world that she is actually very much in favor of legalized gay marriage and a woman’s “right” to abortion.

#12) A 6-year-old girl was recently handcuffed and sent to a mental facility after throwing temper tantrums at her elementary school.  Back in the old days she would just be sent to the principal’s office.

#11) Law enforcement officials estimate that approximately 600,000 Americans and 65,000 Canadians are trading dirty child pictures online.

#10) Students at a New Haven, Connecticut high school will not be graduating “in the year of our Lord” this year or in any future years, according to the superintendent of schools.  The school district has removed the traditional phrase from high school diplomas after someone complained.

#9) At the biennial General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church USA, delegates approved a measure that would allow the ordination of openly gay or lesbian clergy.

#8) One North Carolina pastor is demanding an apology from lawmakers in his state after he was dismissed from his chaplain duties for praying in Jesus’ name.

#7) Recently, the opening prayer at the opening session of the Virginia General Assembly was delivered by a radical imam.  Apparently there was no problem with him praying to the god of Islam.

#6) Two Christians were recently arrested for sharing the gospel and singing Christian hymns on a public sidewalk outside an Islamic mosque in Philadelphia.

#5) The U.S. government continues to waste money on truly bizarre research studies that have no apparent value.  In recent years the U.S. government has spent $2.6 million tax dollars to study the drinking habits of Chinese prostitutes and has spent $400,000 tax dollars to pay researchers to cruise six bars in Buenos Aires, Argentina to find out why gay men engage in risky sexual behavior when drunk.

#4) The FDA has announced that the offspring of cloned animals could be in our food supply right now and that there is nothing that they can do about it.  Yet the same FDA conducts military-style raids on Amish farmers for selling unauthorized organic milk.

#3) One Roman Catholic priest in Connecticut has been arrested and charged with stealing $1.3 million in church money over seven years to use for male escorts, expensive clothing and luxury hotels and restaurants.  Unfortunately, there are dozens upon dozens more examples of religious leaders throughout the United States betraying their congregations in similar ways.

#2) A while back, one survey found that 25 percent of American employees that have Internet access visit pornographic websites while they are at work.  What does it say about us when we can’t even wait to get home to engage in such wickedness?

#1) Perhaps the most horrible wickedness that we have committed has been against the most helpless and the most innocent members of our society.  Since Roe v. Wade in 1973, more than 50 million babies have been slaughtered in abortion facilities across the United States.

So how can anyone still refer to the United States as a “good” nation when all of this is going on?

Feel free to leave a comment with your opinion….

Glad to see religion on its way out of the public school system. No place for fiction. Why is pornography a problem? I guess I don’t see it. There are far worse things people could be doing. I think we should stop spending so much time judging others and worry more about our own business. What’s up with the hate about people’s choice in a sex partner? If you don’t like it don’t do it. These religious types run around bashing these people like their forcing it on them. Lets get a grip. Bible thumpers are the first to throw stones they should be ashamed of them self’s. I tell you what I have never had a gay couple knock on my door and try and get me to join them. How ever I have had bible thumping religious nuts beat my door down once a month.

  • To be fair to the U.S. you could probably list 25 good things that are happening here. It may just take longer to compile.

  • xyloman

Individual choice baby. Individual choice. America did not kill 50Mil babies – even if that # is true – it’s the individuals that made those choices. If it was illegal – they will still make those choices if they wish. It’s all a bunch of crap to blame America. Sheesh!

Also – are we defining ‘wickedness’ in Biblical terms or scholarly terms?

If we’re talking Biblical then I must say thank god we are not under the Tyranny of the Biblical God in America! That my friends, would be much WORSE.

With this kind of Christan slant – this kind of drivel can not be taken seriously. Blogs are such a joke.

    thinking makes it so”

The reason that hell is going to be “hell” is that God will not have any presence there. It was created for Satan and those angels – now demons – who chose to follow him in his rebellion against God. As we see America remove God from every vestige of our society we also begin to see a glimpse of what hell is going to be. I strongly suggest that each person reading this repent of their sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and follow him by obeying God’s laws. Hell is not a good place to spend eternity.

American exceptionalism is pretty much dead. In SOME respects, the United States of America was truly exceptional; but somewhere along the way, the usual rot associated with the human race and original sin, crept in and took over. Just as had happened in all prior societies on planet earth.

Wasn’t it Adams who wrote something along the lines of this: the Constitution of the United States is only of use to an upright and righteous peoples; it is useless for any other ?

He was correct, even if I don’t have the wording exactly just so. I’m sure you all get the picture.

Is it possible for a nation to repent (i.e. have the people change spiritual direction en masse) and have a national revival in both spiritual and other aspects? In other words, instead of a bell shaped curve (national ascendancy, zenith, decline, fall/collapse), a shape more like a double hump camel?

It’s possible. Is it probable? You’ll have to speak to God about that, folks; hopefully, on your knees.

Because a national collapse is NO FUN AT ALL. Just ask the Ukranians, Russians, Argentines, Zimbabweans, etc. etc. ad nauseum.

  • Mr Carpenter

    How about a couple more?

#26. A foundational basis of lies in the means of exchange (money) controlled by the few. Fiat money – backed by nothing but promises (lies) and controlled by the wealthiest (obviously) for their own benefit at the expense of the poor and people who do all the work (commonly described as the “middle class”).

#27. Ignorning the foundational basis if law (Constitution) when it suits the powers that be.

#28. A majority of the population whose daily actions in public show that they have no respect for God, common decency or law; just three symptoms of the disease: look at the number of drivers who follow too closely (thereby threatening the lives of people in front of them), refuse to stop at stop signs unless absolutely necessary (and then don’t even stop but roll through them), text while driving (which leaves their driving skills approximately on part with DRUNKS) – all out of selfish intent and thoughtlessness for the well being of others.

#29. General uncouth, uncultured, unGodly behavior overall culminating in a huge lack of civility towards one another. Another way of saying, self-centeredness gone amuk at the expense of the general culture and civilization.

#30. A refusal by many people to even pretend to want to learn anything remotely involving civility, lovingkindness and any kind of ability to think beyond their own needs – infantilism of physically adult humans.

Get rid of all republicans and right wingers. They are selfish and destroyed our country in their quest to give tax cuts to the rich.

No conservatives=much more humane country. Problem solved.

  • Stephanie

Amen! Amen! and Amen! Our nation is a moral cesspool. We murder 3,000 babies a day. Sodomites parade our streets. There’s no fear of God in the land. And we sing “God Bless America”? Why should He? God is a just God and He is angry with the wicked every day. Our Christian heritage, now resembles the nation of Israel prior to God’s “servant” Nebuchadnezzer destroying it. The writing is on the wall, and our days are numbered. But those who put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and persevere to the end, will be saved.

It’s astonishing how obsessed you are with homosexuality – 6 items out of 25 in your list. This is usually the sort of thing one sees in self-loathing, closeted gays and lesbians, like Ted Haggard and George Rekkers. Your narrow-minded, bigoted outlook on the world must be quite a burden to carry. I have some news for you. Homosexuals have always and will always be around and have and will continue to make important contributions to humanity. There are extremists in every religion. You should feel a kinship with the Islamists, since your brand of Christianity seems very compatible to their view of their religion. And, paranoia? Wow, do you have that one down. I suggest you get yourself into intense psychotherapy. You are one sick puppy.

The following poem was submitted by a reader named Rita….

I, will cry you a river

    And much much more

    My dear dear America,

    Once so beautiful !

    You sold your soul

    To a bunch of mercenaries

    Which entered your sheep-fold

    As wolves and goats

    You sold your skin

    To the highest bidder

    You resemble a harlot

    The new Babylon

    Eating and drinking

With the rich of this world

    Prostituting yourself

    For money and power

    And became a den

    Of thieves and murderers

    You forgot all about

    The One Who blessed

    You so abundantly

Biting the Hand of the Blesser

Embarrassed to mention His Name !

    Did He not teach you

To be wise as a serpent

    And harmless as a dove

    Why then do you behave

    As a silly goose ??

He invited you to His dinner Table

    He so diligently prepared

But, you made light of it

And went your worldly, haughty ways

    One to his farm,

    Another to his business.

But as the Father of Fathers

    He waits for your return

The return of His prodigal daughter

    Humble your pride

And follow the Way, the Life and the Truth !!!

Or, I SHALL cry you a river

    A river of bloody tears

    And much much more !!!

  • Greg

nob – there is no validity to talking about a “brand” of Christianity. Jesus defined Christianity. He is the Word and God’s truth is revealed in the Holy Bible, the Word. Hating those who speak the truth is as nonsensical as hating a person who tells you that a food you are eating contains strychnine. Regardless of whether you like the food and regardless of what you like to hear about God and his imminent judgment on this nation, the truth is what it is. This wicked nation is very near destruction.

Gary – your dream of more government control and the silencing of those who have conservative values is going to come true and you are going to realize – too late – that it is actually a nightmare.

  • Greg

Gary – I rarely, if ever, post links but you have to see this one. It tells of what happened in Oregon and other states when the morons decided to heed your advice and “tax the rich”. Just as I have been telling you for several months, revenues decreased. Wake up, roon! Taxing “the rich” is going to cause those you hate to take their money elsewhere and leave even less stolen money for the government to give to you. I am beginning to worry about you, Gary. Please make sure you always have an escort before crossing a busy street.

  • Robert

Sad enough to say that many have not understood that America was so much blessed by God. Repent for your evil deeds and thoughts because very soon you’ll beg Him on your knees to forgive you. How in the world could someone ask what homosexuality and pornography has to do with what is going on and will happen in the near future? Obviously Satan has done an excellent job blinding your eyes and minds.

Out of true love, I beg you: Come back to the Lord our God before his hand of Justice falls heavily on you. When this happens, do not blame him for he is Mercy as much as He is Justice.

  • Elise

Wow, you talk about evil in America, yet all I see in this list is someone spewing hate, intolerance, and bigotry. This is why I don’t affiliate with the church anymore; the message and the actions don’t follow. Instead of embracing your neighbor you point fingers; instead of unconditional love you focus on evil. I’m a very spiritual person and there is one thing that life taught me: you reap what you sow. I try my very best to always focus on the good, and even if you may not agree with other people’s lifestyles, you should wish them luck and hope they will live a happy life. Jesus taught us not to judge and throw stones, yet that’s all you do!

Homosexuality is not a choice, just like being born with the wrong sex happens; we do not yet comprehend they ways of the soul or the brain in this matter, but people in these situations always know from birth that they are what they are. No culture teaches any of that and for people to think that after 60+ years of debate on this subject is just ridiculous. They are good people with good moral values and make excellent parents just as well. There has been so many researches on this subject, because we didn’t know for sure. And you know what? They are great parents, and NO, their kids don’t turn out homo just because they are!

Teens and STD’s these days, it’s become a real issue. The problem lies in education, and education ONLY. It’s been proven that lack of funding in sex ed classes lead to improper sexual behavior. When AIDS became more public in the 80’s, governments worldwide started funding so people become aware, educated and responsible. It helped decrease tremendously cases of AIDS and other STDs, and they basically only affected a very tiny minority. We screamed victory and what happened? We cut those classes! Now see what happens: kids learn from sex through the internet in all the wrong ways, stupidly believe STD only happens on TV, and we’ve now got a complete resurgence of diseases in the under 21 age group! These kids are not learning from their parents, so they need to learn elsewhere! Don’t we always say knowledge is power?

As for abortion… well it’s a touchy subject. Ideally, there shouldn’t be a need for it in the first place if everyone was responsible in their contraception and only conceived when the time was right. Then again, we wouldn’t need laws because everyone would be so perfect! Truth is, most people make mistakes in their lives, and some are just plain stupid or irresponsible with their bodies (not everyone gets taught proper sexual education), so really, we’re better off with having abortion then a bunch of irresponsible people raising kids they don’t want and don’t care for. Is it sad? Hell yeah. But in my personal beliefs, as long as it’s in the first trimester, the fetus hasn’t merged with the soul yet; the soul can come at any time during the rest of the pregnancy, when the baby starts to become aware of it’s state. Abortion beyond this point is illegal anyways and should only happen in extreme cases where the mother is going to die otherwise.

Other than that, I enjoy reading your comments about economy and politics, but really you should steer clear of judging people and their beliefs, because it takes away your credibility. There’s enough small-mindedness and bigotry in the world, what we need right now is some acceptance of each other and love.

  • Mr Carpenter

Gary, you’ve got to read this and think, man!

History lesson on your Social Security Card

    Your Social Security

Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn’t know this. It’s easy to check out, if you don’t believe it. Be sure and show it to your kids. They need a little history lesson on what’s what and it doesn’t matter whether you are Democrat or Republican. Facts are Facts!!!
Social Security Cards up until the 1980s expressly stated the number and card were not to be used for identification purposes. Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway and the message was removed.[9]

An old Social Security card with the “NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION” message.
    Our Social Security

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social
    Security (FICA) Program. He promised:

1.) That participation in the Program would be
    Completely voluntary,

    No longer Voluntary

2.) That the participants would only have to pay
1% of the first $1,400 of their annual
    Incomes into the Program,

    Now 7.65%
    on the first $90,000
Note added– Employer pays the same!!

3.) That the money the participants elected to put
into the Program would be deductible from
their income for tax purposes each year,

    No longer tax deductible

4.) That the money the participants put into the
independent ‘Trust Fund’ rather than into the
general operating fund, and therefore, would
only be used to fund the Social Security
    Retirement Program, and no other
    Government program, and,

Under Johnson the money was moved to
    The General Fund and Spent

5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.

    Under Clinton & Gore
Up to 85% of your Social Security can be Taxed

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are
now receiving a Social Security check every month —
and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of
the money we paid to the Federal government to ‘put
away’ — you may be interested in the following:

    ———— ——— ——— ——— ——— ——— —-

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the
independent ‘Trust Fund’ and put it into the
general fund so that Congress could spend it?

A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically
    controlled House and Senate.

    ———— ——— ——— ——— ——— ——— ——— —

Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax
deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?

    A: The Democratic Party.

    ———— ——— ——— ——— ——— ——— ——— —–

Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social
    Security annuities?

A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the
‘tie-breaking’ deciding vote as President of the
Senate, while he was Vice President of the US

    ———— ——— ——— ——— ——— ——— ——— –

Q: Which Political Party decided to start
    giving annuity payments to immigrants?

    A: That’s right!

Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party.
Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65,
began to receive Social Security payments! The
Democratic Party gave these payments to them,
even though they never paid a dime into it!

    ———— — ———— ——— —– ———— ——— ———

Then, after violating the original contract (FICA),
the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

And the worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it!
If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of
awareness will be planted and maybe changes will
evolve. Maybe not, some Democrats are awfully
    sure of what isn’t so.

But it’s worth a try. How many people can YOU send this to?

Actions speak louder than bumper stickers.

Greg – I almost never respond to replies but I have to on this one. This list was first circulated on the Internet as a letter to radio comedian Laura Schlesinger. I added a couple of things on the end.

When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev. 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. How should I deal with this?

I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as it suggests in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev. 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

Lev. 25:44 states that I may buy slaves from the nations that are around us. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans but not Canadians. Can you clarify?

I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Lev. 10:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don’t agree. Can you settle this?

Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?

Ever eaten a cheeseburger? If yes, you committed a grave sin. Dairy and meat may never be eaten together. (Ex. 23:19; Ex. 34:26; Deut. 14:21.) By the way, this separation includes not only the foods themselves, but the utensils, pots and pans with which they are cooked, the plates and flatware from which they are eaten, the dishwashers or dishpans in which they are cleaned, the sponges with which they are cleaned and the towels with which they are dried. A household living under the law will have at least two sets of pots, pans and dishes: one for meat and one for dairy. Do your arrangements reflect this?

  • Greg

nob – it seems to me that any discussion with you would be a waste of my valuable time but if you have legitimate questions I would be glad to respond. I suggest that you continue your Bible study but this time do so not with a mocking spirit but instead with the sobering reality that you will stand before the creator and give an account of yourself. That is a sobering reality for all of us, and especially for those who openly rebel against God and who mock his word.

  • kool

nob you read old testimant but new in the new testimant most of those things are frowned upon. dont take my word for it because i know that i make mistakes look in the new testimant for yourself.

  • Gary

Greg-thanks for the link. The source is biased but that is not the issue. I advocate for the federal gov to tax the rich. this way they can not play states against each other. Where are they going to go? Europe will tax them more. (I love Europe) and the Asian countries are too unstable.

I personally think the rich should willingly give their wealth so it can be spread around. This would make it easier for them to get into heaven. (Camel/eye of needle and all that)

  • The III

nob hill- Let me first say you are not at an atheist site and your sarcasm is not appreciated by us Christians. But with let’s see if we can bring you some closer.

    A. (Lev. 1:9) Stop burning bulls on the altar as a sacrifice and bothering your neighbors. Jesus death was the ultimate sacrifice that did away with the order of Aaron’s priesthood. A human High Priest is no longer required. Jesus was resurrected and now sits at the right hand of God as our High Priest forever. Bible verses can be given but you would not believe them anyway. So why waste my time.

    B. (Exodus 21:7) Your daughter is a slave you’re just to blind to see it. Do you have the $300,000 + to buy her out. That’s her part of our national debt. Why did you, your parents and Grandparents let this happen? Don’t blame it on God. As for whether God allows it, you can take it up with Him at your judgment. If you want to become a pimp and sell you daughter, leave God out of it.

C.(Lev. 15:19-24)This was a law of purification as he had direct contact daily with the people . The congregation had to be cleansed to be in the presence of a pure and Holy God. I can go into a much more in depth explanation, with Bible verses, but it would be a waste of time, seeing sarcasm is what you are about not facts. So you need to just get it when you can from your wife because I’m sure it is not very often, if at all.

    D. (Lev. 25:44) Your question is so moronic it does not even need an answer. Times were what they were and people were slaves then just as they are now. In slaved by debt or by force they still exist today. Does Hilton heiress Leona Mindy Roberts Helmsley ring a bell? Again, you can ask God when you see him, why this was and is allowed. Being an unbeliever all this is just fiction to you anyway. Did you not say you wanted to sell you daughter? Why don’t you just trade her for a Mexican or a Canadian.

    E. (Exodus 35:2) If he has come to the truth of the Sabbath, believes knows he must obey than he is willfully sinning and will die in his sin. If he is deceived from this truth, then God does not hold one accountable for knowledge they do not have. Who are you to pass judgment on your friend? Do you keep the Sabbath? With a friend like you, who needs enemies?

    F. (Lev. 10:10) The Dietary Laws are laws of nature. If you jump off a 10 story building will not the law of gravity prevail? Eat unclean meats and foods and they will affect your physical health. We can’t build Hospitals fast enough to treat all the illnesses caused by bad diets. Homosexuality is an abomination. What more than the AIDS epidemic do you need as proof? Both unclean meat and Homosexuality ends in death sooner or later. So I ask you, is one death greater than the another?

    G. (Lev. 21:20) A purification law for the descendants of Aaron (Lev. 21:17) to keep them pure before God. Are you a descendent of Aarons? Not! Well, well, well, taking scripture out of context.

    H. (Ex. 23:19) Says not to boil it in its mothers milk, not that you can’t eat it with milk. Your twisting the scriptures now. (Ex. 34:26) same thing; (Deut. 14:21) same thing; the pots and pans etc… are all civic laws to be observed at that time, in the presence of God, for purification. Jesus is now what purifies us and allows us to come into the presence of God, The Father. I could explain this much further but what do you really care?

I know who you are, what you are and why you’re here. Twisting the Scriptures and taking them out of context just lets everyone else know too.

  • The III

P.S. nob hill- “I almost never respond to replies but I have to on this one”.

Do us all a favor and don’t.

  • Greg

What a confused soul you are. You have deceived yourself into thinking that you can create God in your own image and that your idolatry makes you better than others. Matthew 7:21 states “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” There are too many foolish statements in your lengthy posting to address them all but the main point is for you to consider that you don’t write the laws and you will not be the one who others stand before at the judgment seat. For me, the greatest sin a person can commit is to coddle others into believing that their sinful lives will not bring eternal damnation upon them when God tells us a different outcome will result. Another result of the debauchery that we have allowed in this nation is that we will all suffer the loss of everything we hold dear. This nation will not be restored to greatness and we will soon experience God’s wrath for the wickedness that is so prevalent here and spread from this nation all around the world. Your feel-good nonsense will soon be revealed for what it is.

  • The III

@Elise- We look to God and His Holy Word for our moral compass. If you find Him to be hateful, intolerant and a bigot that is your problem not ours. We do embrace our neighbors with unconditional love and a forgiving heart. When you say we “focus on evil” you are correct that we are talking about people’s lifestyles in contrast to God’s Word, not condemning the person but the person’s actions. Jesus did not condemn Mary Magdalene but he did condemn her whoring. Did he not say “sin no more”? If you are a “very spiritual person” I must ask of what spirit? How do you measure what is good and what is evil? What standards do you use to determine which is which?

When you say “Homosexuality is not a choice, just like being born with the wrong sex happens; we do not yet comprehend they ways of the soul or the brain in this matter, but people in these situations always know from birth that they are what they are”. Are you implementing Poe’s Law or are you really serious? Does this mean all rapist and child pedophiles should be let out of prison because I’m sure they will want to use this same failed logic as an excuse for their behavior? Leviticus 18:22 plainly states a man shall not lie with another man as with a woman. It is an abomination. Once again, this is God’s words and judgment not ours. The diseases AIDS and HIV prove it is not a natural act? If you think it is a natural act, then why does condoms have to be used? Do you not know that in all HIV and AIDS reported cases, 70% are homosexual men? Homosexuality was classified as a mental illness up until the 1960’s when the anything goes sexual revolution was born. Is anything goes not the moral code of society today? Could this be why you’re at enmity with God?

Teens should be taught by their parent’s. Morality as well as respect by example. If the parents have no morals or respect how can we expect our kids to be respectful or have any since of morality. Educational institutions are not a substitute for the family unit. This is why they are failing so miserably. Parents are failing because they base their moral standards on society and not on the Word of God. Only God’s way is the way to true happiness and good health but humanity is running in the opposite direction saying wrong is right and right is wrong. You’re saying the same thing. Do you not see this?

As for abortion…. You can try to reason it anyway you like but it is still ending life at any stage of the fetus. Most all abortions are the sacrificing of our children for the convenience of our pleasure. Yes, a very small percentage of abortions are a medical life and death decisions but they do not justify the mass murder that has and is taking place. You say “we’re better off with having abortion then a bunch of irresponsible people raising kids they don’t want and don’t care for” and I say killing the fetus does nothing in making irresponsible people own up to their action but quite the opposite. See the vicious cycle? The two wrongs can never make it right.
So now I ask you Elise, who really are the evil Americans? Those who believe in a living God and the morality of his Word or those who live by there own morality and the standards of society?

  • Elise

I’m not confused by my faith. In fact, I’ve spent my life sharing, reading, and confronting my beliefs. I do not shape it into my image. We ARE made in God’s image. A blog comment is not nearly the best place to discuss this kind of matter, but I will say this:

If your beliefs bring you happiness, fulfillment and comfort, then it is right for you. Just like there are many religions and cultures on this planet, beliefs are a very intimate thing. I am VERY secure in my beliefs, and I have studied religions just as I have studied many spiritualist movements. I have felt and seen things that comforts my beliefs, and my faith belongs to me. It is not egoistical, it is the proper way to live your life, and take control of the ship rather than be scuffled by the waves hoping God has mercy. Values are another thing entirely, and this too is very personal.

The whole point is according to your beliefs, mine are foolish. The thing is you live on Mars, and I live on Neptune. Rules are something religion made up, not God. Religion has been shaped AROUND God, NOT the other way around. So whatever your beliefs are saying against me, they mean nothing unless I believe them too. Just like those who consider themselves lucky are naturally lucky, you shape your own universe and abide to it. This might be an absurd thought for you, but for most spiritual people, this is what dictates our lives: karma.

I wish I could speak more in depth about this, but for now we’ll just have to agreed to disagree. If you ever want to look into something that could potentially change your life for the better, you should try reading Neale Donald Walsh’s trilogy of “Conversations with God”. You may have heard about it, but I would urge you to look into this. This will probably the most meaningful and beautiful thing you will ever read in your life. Please give yourself this gift.

Just looking at all the comments, I would have to say that Elise’s comment most resembles what Christ advocated. The rest of the self-proclaimed christians here could do well to mimick her instead of mock her. And I sincerely hope that those same christians (little c purposely) are offended by an agnostic such as myself commenting on this public forem. I’m appropriately quoting Bugs Bunny here “Sheesh, what a bunch of maroons.”

  • The III

bro43- Christ never advocated sin as Elise is. It is obvious neither one of you know Jesus Christ at all. None of us are mocking her. We and our God are the one’s being mocked and called names, even by you. So stop your crying. If you want to advocate sin, you would do well to find another place to do it. You will find it will not get any traction here. The article says what it says and we Christians agree with it. If that bothers you, well to bad.

  • Greg

Well, I guess we Christians are trumped now! We have Elise who got her spiritual insights from a man who talked with a demon and thought it was God and her beliefs have been confirmed by a person who admits he has no knowledge (a, without, gnostic, knowledge) and is happy with his ignorance! Darn it all, now what will I do with this eternity problem? Elise, am I going to come back as a bug that will get stepped on? bro43, what can I expect…..oh wait, you are clueless.

  • BlackDS

Honestly, I do not see that much if a problem with abortions. Isn’t it better for both the economy and the parents if that “mistake” baby never existed? Instead of spending a million dollars to keep that child happy and healthy, it is cheaper and easier to kill it.
We have a problem with overpopulation as it is.

  • Dreamriot

    Greetings from europe,

an interesting site so far, but i think i should make a comment on a few things here.

Just one question. what makes gay people evil? i don´t get it.

Don´t you think sexual education could help to prevent pregnancy and abortion in the first place?

I (and maybe the rest of the whole world) thought getting rich is the american dream? Ok i know freedom should be, but that seems to be forgotten since the end of ww2.

About pornography. It´s abuse maybe a sign of false moral standarts. No one who´s feeling free and save in his sexuality and ability to give and take love whould feel the need to compensate. but in europe thats the same problem, only without religious hypocracy.

police state and facist governments aren´t only news to the usa. the european union undermines the sovereignity of its states for years. but excuse my harsh words, as i can see it the us and also uk are f… by this bankster mafia and their secret societies.

The god of islam, as you name him, is the god of abraham. they believe in jesus as a god send prophet and his return on judgment day. So they don´t believe he died on a cross, they believe in his capability to make miracles. I didn´t thought the american constitution stand´s for religious ignorance…

Maybe the people of the USofA should remember their original values, the ones their ancestors where leaving for ou of europe in the first place. independency from any form of government and economic or religious suppression. I do think the nation of Thomas Jefferson was once the greatest of them all. but you´ll have a hard time to get back what is stolen by greed and fear of real freedom.

I wish you all the best!

The worth of ones moral standarts is proportional to ones ability of gfeeling unconditional love.

  • The III

@BlackDS- Honestly, Wouldn’t it be better if everyone would just stop fornicating and committing adultery. This would slow the birth rate down tremendously and innocent little babies will not be killed. This would solve your money problem and population problem at the same time. If you still feel crowded, move to the North Pole. It will be a great place for you, seeing your opinions are so cold.

  • One World

Seems like Elise is the only one that seems to make any sense on here.. I think religion is a personal thing and wheather you live your life through the teachings of religion or just plain logic being good person should be something that you shouldnt have to read from a book, I think we all know that it is wrong to kill, lie or steal but so sad that most people on here seem to be the ones that seem like they are the most likely to do these crimes… and why the hell do most strongly religious people seem to be the onese that are the MOST biggotted, judgmental, closedminded and hateful and then they go around screaming that the people that have a different opinion to theirs are the ones with biggotted, judgemental and closed minded views???
Oh The III you just seem like some freak that actaully lives on some planet far far far away.. Are you an alien ????

  • Elise

Wow, so according to you guys, calling upon love, tolerance, and acceptance is just wrong, and I’m committing sin by bringing God closer into my life? Hum, it’s obvious at this point that there is no reasoning with any of you. I was trying to be nice and respect your beliefs. Most of my family is Catholic (I myself have all sacraments and am a proud Godmother), and many still go to church, read and abide the bible, and yet we all have great talks about everything I’ve tried to initiate in here. They incarnate all the great things religion can bring into a life, but what they don’t do, is fall into paranoia of Apocalypse, sins and demons and all that crazy folklore. This is stuff that was created to scared people and keep them in line back in the day. But if you want to fall in that line and be scared little sheeps, so be it.

There’s always many depths of beliefs in a religion, and while most people stay within the realms of practical religion, you guys are just really hardcore. You are way over thinking those teachings, and then the ignorance makes you think that we’re all going to hell, and you’re the only ones who will experience salvation. Well, I’ll tell you this, stay in your small box, don’t bother looking outside cause it might just shatter your beliefs, and just comfort yourself thinking 99% of us are wrong, and you of course, hold the truth alone. I have a question: have any of you traveled around the world before, experienced other cultures, seen other lifestyles, seen what other religions are about? I’m really curious about that.

Greg, you thinking karma means you will reincarnate into a bug just shows your total ignorance and disrespect for something that billions of people and multiple religions believe in. I won’t even bother explaining you what it’s about because it would be a waste on deaf ears.

  • The III

@One World- I’m sure I must seem that way to you. I do not lean on my own understanding but on every God inspired word of His Holy Bible. Who are you that I should live by what you think? If your such a good person why do you call us names(“MOST biggotted, judgmental, closed minded and hateful; freak, alien”)?. Does this make you the good person you seem to think you are? If you want to make yourself out to be a god and start your on “personal thing” religion, that is up to you but don’t come in here telling us we have to bow to it because we will not. You may not know who or what I am but I do know what you are and why God’s condemnation of sin upsets you so. Let there be no misunderstanding, I am not here to convert you, I’m here to rebuke you.

    III, et. al.

You know, if I had to guess by the comments if this was a “real” site or a parody site, very much like the excellent Landover Baptist Church, I’d have to say it was parody. (Except you aren’t funny.) But, the very earnest actual blog postings tend to belie that conclusion. If Jesus Christ could come back and see what was being done and said in his name today, he’d never stop throwing up. So, are you beyond only some of the old Jewish laws and in favor of retaining others? Your comments make no sense because they lack any fundamental logic. If you are beyond the Jewish Law, abandon it in its entirety. Jesus never said anything about homosexuals. Saul of Tarsus, AKA St. Paul, is easily the greatest self-loathing closeted homosexual of all time. (He hated women, too, which is easy to see from his tortured writing.) If you took the actual words of Jesus, rejected the old Testament and threw out the nonsense written after he supposedly ascended into Heaven, you might have something. A very admirable way to live one’s life. Christianity would be unstoppable. But, people like you lot would have no where to go because there is clearly no room for haters in what Jesus taught. I suppose you could all become Muslims. You guys would just love Sharia law. It’s pretty clear you’re just seething to stone someone.

  • The III

@Elise- We have no interest in your ecumenical religion. It is written John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

You say “They incarnate all the great things religion can bring into a life, but what they don’t do, is fall into paranoia of Apocalypse, sins and demons and all that crazy folklore”.

It is written Matthew 24:21-22 21″For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. 22″Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

You say “I have a question: have any of you traveled around the world before, experienced other cultures, seen other lifestyles, seen what other religions are about? I’m really curious about that”.

It is written Exodus20:2-3 “I am The Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.”

One wiser than you tried to push such false beliefs on our Master Jesus Christ and he failed miserably as well.

@nob hill- your lack of knowledge of the Bible is astounding. The civil and ceremonial laws were done away with because they were no longer needed after Christ death and resurrection but not the spiritual laws(The 10 Commandments)and natural laws(Dietary Laws). The law was not given to the Jews but to the Nation of Israel(the word Jews are not in the Bible until 2Kings 16:6). All of the Nation of Israel were not Jews. Did you not know it is written All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. (II Tim 3:16). That is Old Testament as well as New.

You say “Jesus never said anything about homosexuals. Saul of Tarsus, AKA St. Paul, is easily the greatest self-loathing closeted homosexual of all time. (He hated women, too, which is easy to see from his tortured writing.) If you took the actual words of Jesus, rejected the old Testament and threw out the nonsense written after he supposedly ascended into Heaven, you might have something”.

Really! Are you re-writing the Bible now.

So that means it’s okay, right?

    Consider these facts:

    1. He also never said anything about rape, incest or domestic violence. Are those things okay, too?

    2. There are many teachings and deeds of Christ that are not included in the Gospel accounts, as John writes in John 21:25.

    3. Christ did say that God created people “in the beginning” as male and female, and that marriage is the union of one man and one woman joined together as “one flesh”. (Matthew 19:4-6 and Mark 10:6-9) Nothing is said about any other type of union.

    4. When He discussed sexual morality, Christ had a very high standard, clearly affirming long-standing Israelite and Jewish law. He told the woman caught in adultery to “Go and sin no more.” (John 8:11) He warned people not only that the act of adultery was wrong, but even adulterous thoughts. (Matthew 5:28) And he shamed the woman at the well (John 4:18) by pointing out to her that he knew she was living with a man who was not her husband.

    5. Christ used the destruction of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah as an example of God’s wrath (Matthew 10:15, Mark 6:11, Luke 10:12, and Luke 17:29). Throughout the Old Testament, prophets clearly described these cities as being notorious for the practice of homosexuality. (Genesis 18:20, Genesis 19:4-5, Isaiah 3:9, Jeremiah 23:14, Ezekiel 16:46-59). Jesus certainly knew that this was how the comparison would be understood.

    6. Christ was God incarnate (in the flesh) here on earth. He was the long-expected Messiah, which was revealed in Matthew 16:13- 20, Matthew 17:5-9, Mark 8:27-30, Luke 4:16-30, Luke 9: 18-21, John 4:25-26, John 8:57-59 and elsewhere. As one with God, He was present from the beginning (John 1:1-13; Colossians 1:15-17; Ephesians 3:9 and elsewhere). So, Jesus was part of the Godhead as the laws were handed down through Moses to Israel and eventually to the whole world. This Old Testament law clearly prohibited homosexuality (Genesis 19, Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13; Deuteronomy 23:18 and elsewhere). The apostles understood this also, as shown by Paul’s writing in Romans 1:24-27, Peter’s in 2 Peter 2:4-22, and John’s in Revelation 22:15.

So–the apostles, who were taught by Christ, clearly understood that homosexuality was a sin as it has always been. When you say, “Jesus said nothing about homosexuality”, you reveal that you really haven’t understood Scripture, or Who Christ was.

Making false accusation about Paul does not make your case. Those of us who have spent there whole lives in the study of God’s word could care less about your made up conjectures. Try the atiest, they eat that stuff up. Our we clear now?

  • The III

@nob hill- Correction, that is are we clear now? Are we?

To The III I never said I was good nor did I say anything saintly about myself… these are your own words, I didnt say you should live by my rules.. I think you should live life without judgement of others and that’s exactly what you are spewing here.. get your facts right.. you are insanely funny!

  • One World

By the way The III, you have GREAT amounts of knowledge about a book but seems like you have no idea about humanity, tolerance, love and acceptance.. by which authority then do you rebuke me ???? I sincerely hope you can get yourself to a psych ward.

I think we have gone off the issue quite a bit so I would like to address the real headline here. I truly do beleive that this great country USA is incredibly evil but not for the reasons on this pathetic list. I think that it is an evil nation because the leaders brainwash their people into thinking other cultures are evil currently the islamic nations.. Why do the media in the US only show the extremists and instigate hate towards the world muslim or islam ?? there are extremists in every religion and culture so why is america only focusing in showing the bad side of muslims! Why has america stole billions of dollars from its own people and seems to have the right to give no justification for it and the people seem to be so brainwashed or not bothered that they dont even question it! I think its evil because there is no reason for them to be starting up illegal wars in rich nations and then go and rape the country!!! I think its pure EVIL because america is running around being the bully of the world starting on a quest to destroy any country that has a chance to become a great nation. Why does it have the right to break all the rules set out in the Geneva convention ??? There are so many more reasons but I think this will suffice for now. I guess for now god is blessing america but as history has taught us ALL empires ALWAYS crumble.

  • The III

@One World- Stop your back peddling. Your words are posted for every one to see. When you say I “think” that is spewing your views upon others. I have never said “I think”. I have only expounded on what the Word of God says. These are the “facts” and they’re posted here for all to see. Your problem is with the Bible and God’s judgments, not with me. You say “I think religion is a personal thing and whether you live your life through the teachings of religion or just plain logic being good person should be something that you shouldn’t have to read from a book,…” bla, bla, bla. Sin is sin as defined by God’s Word, not by what YOU THINK is logic.

You are clearly a person with severe anger issues. I suggest professional mental health counseling, and not some well-meaning clergyman.

Churchmen have shuffled books of the Bible since time immemorial. Some are in, some are out, depending on how they wanted to rig the game, because it all boils down to a scheme of social control and repression of the individual. What I am suggesting is that if you are not a Jew, why would you bother with Jewish texts? (Or Hebrew, or whatever nomenclature makes you happy.) And, if you wanted to follow the teachings of Christ, what need have you of the thoughts of his followers after his death? Jesus’ message is pretty clear. Children can easily understand it. All the rest to me seems surplussage.

Do you actually think you answered Elsie’s question about whether you had traveled and observed other cultures? That was sheer nonsense that you babbled back. Or, was it because she’s probably a woman and how dare she question you?

Oh, I know its because I don’t understand “Scripture” and am evil because I advocate tolerance toward all that I am so wrong. It’s typical of your ilk to to say that anyone whose understanding of scripture is different from yours doesn’t understand scripture.

Have you ever personally known any homosexuals? Are any members of your family homosexuals? Do you fear you might have homosexual tendencies yourself?

I bet he is truly the most satisfied and happiest when everyone in his world does all that he says and pleases there is no other thoughts apart form his… oh sorry I mean what is written in a book.. cos he has no thoughts of his own.

@One World- “I am actually a theology student and know a little about most religions”-

very little because you are failing miserably.

“But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell– and great was its fall.” Matthew 7:26-27.

This is why you can’t stand your ground.

nob hill- Let me make it simple for you,Elise, One World…..

1.Pornography is a sin. God says it is and that you are not to look at it nor practice it.

    2. Homosexuality is a sin. God says it is and that you are not to sodomize. The practice is an abomination.

    3. Abortion is a sin. God says it is and that you are not to murder.

    4. Fornication and adultery are sins. God says it is and that you are not to do it.

This article plainly states these sins are destroying Americans and the American dream and I agree. I have addressed all your objections with your wrong because God says so and provided scripture to show this. Call me all the names you want but these are the facts whether you like them or not. @The iii(how arrogant)
Stop being so condesending(sp), who the hell are you?? The Bible (and it’s millions of versions) is a book–written by people. Everyone on this blog has a right to be here and share whatever they so choose–if you don’t like it -leave dude. We are entitled to our beliefs and our opinions. Your come across so full of fear and full of anxiety I can almost hear your heavy breathing–(gross quite actually)–why are you so paniced?–you got on here and actually thought what you had to say–as you keep on and on was actually going to be the only thing people would agree to? That everyone would agre with just you and you only??? Dude–light a candle and meditate.
@Elise(fellow soul) and One World –thank you so very much for the timing of your presence on here–you both and what this blog needed–I respect and honor you both–your truths speak volumes. God the Dogma and the creed oozing outta here is suffocating.
“Call me all the names you want but these are the facts whether you like them or not. You can debate all you want, the plain truth is, they are still all sins and are not to be practiced.

    – The III”–well there are alot of names bud, but why bother–how about this “my daddy can beat the shit outta your daddy–he probly did”—( and by the way we will all debate this all we want!!)

LGardiner, your message is very well said, this world has people from ALL walks of life with different cultures and not all of us live our lives from a book or what someone has told us. A lot of us have open minds and can understand a different point of you and accept it, the III the sooner you can live you life this way that better your life will get! You dont have to say it but its completely obvious to people out here that have no idea who you are but can still tell that you are a miserable person that has a great amount of sin to hide in his life, cos you condesending people thinking that you are better than them and you clearly do, you thinking that people should dance to your tun.. this all is a grave sin to, you just dont want to see it cos you are that self righteous person that thinks that just cos he knows verses from the oh so holy book he is so mighty and just. Well only in your head and your made up world.
I will not torment you any longer The III as I can vividly see and hear you suffering your defeat. What’s worse for YOU is that I am a girl yes… girl I be that is probably enough to tip you over the edge as in your world its probably unheard of for a girl to hold her own huh ??

Anyways, LGardiner much love and respec to you.

    One world, peace for all.

  • Greg

We’re getting some good dialogue going here. It is always good to have varying viewpoints and debate because we can all learn from each other and simply cheering like-minded people on can get boring.

A simple distinction between the God-haters/Bible twisters/sin justifiers and the true Christians who comment on this site is that some of us believe that God has the right to set the laws and standards and others don’t. I look at my relationship with God in a similar manner to how I look at other things in life. We all understand that in our job, sports teams, etc. there are rules that have been written by men at the direction of a higher authority and those rules must be followed. We know better than to read a (demonically inspired) book written by someone else that tells us how to interpret our employee manual, for example, and then conclude that several statements in the manual are not applicable. We know better than to flaunt violations of the manual in front of the owner and assume that the owner is going to ignore the violations and give us promotions and raises anyway. So why are so many people so stupid when it comes to the King of Kings?

Another thing the God-haters do that is so ridiculous is to pin a sin on people who point out sin. This is especially favored with the ultimate depravity of all depravities – homosexuality. Fools who hate God love to tell those of us who believe what God said about that perversion that we are perverts ourselves. Would these same fools call us murderers when we condemn murder, liars when we condemn lying, thieves when we condemn theft, rapists when we condemn rape, etc. That type of nonsense from the God-haters makes it clear that these individuals know they have no valid argument and are simply lashing out in desperation.

  • The III

@Lgardner- “Stop being so condesending(sp), who the hell are you??”

20″I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)

“The Bible (and it’s millions of versions) is a book–written by people.”

    Not true!

The Holy Bible is compiled of writings that cover a span of about 1400 years and include some 40 writers. Within its pages are 66 books. The history of the Holy Bible is the history of God’s involvement with mankind.
The Old Testament remained in Hebrew until c.280-150 B.C. when it was translated into Greek at Alexandria, Egypt. This was known as the Septuagint. The next language change occurred when Jerome (c. 383-405 A.D) translated the Holy Bible into the Latin Vulgate.
The first English translation was completed by John Wycliffe and soon after, King James authorized the English version that has come to be known as the King James Version. This was in 1611. The 1611 King James Version is the Authorized Version. The New King James Version is a modern translation of the King James Authorized Version.
So we have the Old Testament Hebrew, than the Septuagint, the Latin Vulgate, The King James Authorized Version and then The New King James Version. Even if you add up all the other modern versions and count all 66 books in The Holy Bible, I would hardly say there are millions. Although, there are millions of the same Holy Bible printed annually and several billion in the world today.

No sir! I came here because I knew you would be here. III – when Jesus told us to be fishers of men I believe that he expected us to use the same techniques and wisdom that fishermen use. They don’t jump in the water and chase the fish and they don’t throw bombs at the fish. The fish have to be enticed to be caught and the fisherman must be patient and consistent. You will not draw men to that life saving captivation of the gospel by trying to turn this site into a salvation zone. The creator of the site has hit on a topic that draws people in. Don’t turn them away but instead drop snippets that will entice them to think, to circle the bait. When we plant seeds we generally don’t see the results but instead those seeds are watered and brought to cultivation by others. Spreading the gospel is good but we can become like the girl who followed Paul for days, telling others loudly that Paul was a person they should listen to. Paul did not thank her but instead he rebuked her and drove out the evil spirit from her so that his gospel could be spread more effectively. I don’t say you need a demon cast out but do think that you are being counterproductive.

  • The III

@Greg- “I don’t say you need a demon cast out but do think that you are being counterproductive.”

Counterproductive to what? I know who I am addressing. Don’t come down on me because you don’t. When and how is scripture ever counterproductive. Are you using the argument against me that the Pharisees used against Jesus, “he’s a devil casting out demons” is that what your implying? Have I not already covered this in one of my previous threads? Why don’t you show Acts 16:16 so you can show everyone how you are using it out of context? Here allow me.

16Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling. 17This girl followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” 18She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so troubled that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” At that moment the spirit left her.

Am I proclaiming such a thing? Show me where I have done such a thing you accuse me of.

Tell me, did Jesus drive the money changers out of the Temple with kind words?

Why do you suppose he was so harsh with them and used a whip?

When you start keeping all 10 of the Commandments and stop denying the 4th and 2nd ones willingly, than you will have wisdom. Your so deceived you think Sunday worship, Christmas and Easter are of God. Look them up in any encyclopedia and see there origins. You follow the traditions of the worldly church and deny the Commandments of God. Wise up Greg and see that you are deceived. You are the fish not the fisherman. A fish who thinks he is fishing. No where in your threads did you ever present the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Men are drawn to God by the preaching of the Word of God, not by crafty devises of the word of Greg.

If that is your goal, be a street preacher, start a church or get involved with an outreach ministry. You can do nothing more than plant seeds here and you are not planting the right seeds.

  • The III

@Greg- Now the truth comes out. That’s all I’m here for. I have assumed nothing your comments make it clear that you hold to the worldly view of religion. Wise up. Your not kidding anyone.

I am a preacher and like I said before I’m not here to convert anyone but to keep the truth to the forefront. This article is the truth and it’s facts are backed by the Word of God. Greg- I have not tried to address everyone on this blog but those I have addressed I understand quite well. Just as Jesus understood who He was dealing with in the Temple. I fell to see how that is of any concern of yours. I have not been critiquing your comments nor do I feel you should be mine. This is not my first blog and if I’m out of line in anyway lets let the host of this website point it out. That should be left up to their desecration not yours. The freedom of speech is for all not just a few.

    – The III

  • Greg

It is difficult to have a dialogue on this site due to the delay in posting and it is not really the intention of the site to do so. Since this is an old posting and there are a lot of comments, we are probably in isolated territory for the most part. Therefore, III, I will make one more comment to you but am getting to the belief that it will be as futile as debating with nob hill.

You are quite judgmental so I will briefly tell you that I am not opposed to scripture, having read the Bible approximately 20 times and listened to it on CD or tape scores of times. I don’t however, read scripture you post when there are numerous references because I will read the Bible on my own. Non-Christians certainly won’t read your posts either, just as if a Muslim posted Koran scripture I would completely ignore it because I reject the Koran. Non-Christians reject the Bible.

The lost have to be engaged where they are at, not where we are at. Paul was a master at this and of course Jesus was also. If you view Ray Comfort’s videos or read his material you will see that he uses scripture sparingly and not until he engages the lost person on their own turf. Regardless of the zeal or commitment we have, we won’t reach people with the truth by using the Bible as a sledgehammer. If you do this in your church I may applaud you because American Christians are woefully lacking in Bible understanding and in fear of the Lord. However, you won’t have a congregation if you preach hard truth because so few people are willing to endure it.

Perhaps you and I have one thing in common – I am frustrated with the heathenism in this nation and a part of me would love to see God pour out his wrath on the wicked because of what their sin is doing to this nation. I suspect you may be frustrated with a lack of godliness you are seeing in your congregation and may be venting through this website. It won’t work.

11 “Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord GOD, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?” (Ezekiel 33:11)

    Greg and III,

I see both of your points and can see seeds of truth being planted in both of your ways of trying to reach the lost. However, let us not argue/fight in the eyes of the world brothers. Exchange emails and debate there. The lost reading this blog are saying in their hearts, “See, even Christians are bashing heads with one another!!” Both Gregs way will get people to think (the babes/milk drinkers) and the III ways are great for reaching people who grew up in the faith and have turned away to worldiness/ungodliness(The Scriptures have a way of convicting people!!) Goood stuff from both you guys…keep up the good work and may the lost come to know the One true God…Jesus Christ.

@ The III, that he certainly is doing..

  • Justa Guy

I am encouraged to see such enthusiasm to serve our Lord Jesus, but we are missing a key element here…love. I know it is sometimes frustrating when speaking with people who don’t know God. We are only human, and we tend to get offended or argumentative. We need to try and slow it down a little.

God loves us all, so much so that John 3:16 says:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Everyone here needs to know that God sent His Son Jesus into this world, knowing that He would suffer terribly and die FOR OUR SINS, then rise again to ascend to heaven, all because HE LOVES YOU so much that He doesn’t want you to suffer for all eternity, which is what WILL HAPPEN if you don’t know Jesus.

We are all sinners, every one of us, that’s why without Jesus, you will be condemned. But everyone, the great part is, no matter what you’ve done, if you turn from your sins and come to Jesus, you will be saved from condemnation and eternal suffering.

Unfortunately for America, it will continue its downward spiral unless people turn back to God. But, God gave people free will, and citing scripture in an abrasive manner will not entice them into obeying God. It is God’s love that will, and they won’t know it if we don’t show it. Remember 1 Corinthians 16:14 –

“Let all that you do be done with love.”

  • Greg

Justa – I have not been perfect in my responses to III but I think we both got some good points in and we did so with a total commitment to our Lord. Regarding love, I would say that America has heard WAY too much about the love of God and WAY too little about the wrath of God. I totally reject the nonsense of the four spiritual laws and the “God has a wonderful plan for your life” myth. God has made it clear in his word that he loves us and blesses us when we obey his commands but he also made it clear that he will bring judgment and destruction on us when we reject his laws and rebel against him. What I see in this corrupt nation is the love of God being used to justify immorality and that people spit in God’s face with the foolish belief that there will be no judgment. I say if we truly love people in this worse-than-Sodom nation we better tell them that their destruction draweth nigh and eternal hell follows that destruction. Love preaching is not going to reach this woefully lost nation.

  • The III

@Justa Guy – Yes I would agree. Brothers should only address one another with a loving spirit but when dealing with unrepentant sinners we are to “deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.” As Paul says earlier in (I Corinthians 5:5)dealing with church discipline of an unrepentant sinner among them. One of their members was committing fornication with his father’s wife, and they had done nothing about this sin in their midst (1Cor. 5:1-2). Instead, they had become “puffed up” (arrogant) about his presence among them, thinking that his presence was not affecting them and that they didn’t have to do anything about him (1 Cor.5:2). They had become far to worldly about the presence of sin in the church just as America has with the wicked among them. My love goes out to the wicked (unrepentant sinner) as well as the faithful(repentant sinner) but they must be told that their actions(sins) are destroying America as well as themselves. For if they are not told, how are they ever to know?

Thank you for your kind words.

    Justa & World Darkness

Please don’t discourage them. I love it when Thumpers fight.

If you’ll review the “dialog” you’ll see that while Greg is a Class A Hater, he jumped into this fray only to get III to shut down his transmitter, because he realizes III is a florid lunatic whose rantings are bad for business. He got more than he bargained for, I think.

This Ray Comfort person sounds interesting. I’m shocked I’ve never heard of him and I;m going to do more research. At first blush his methods sound a lot like the “grooming” process used by pimps and pedophiles in setting up their victims.

  • World In Darkness

    @ nob hill

Well you see these “Thumpers” are trying to reach people like you nob hill. People who continue to mock the Lord Jesus and will not come to Him or believe in Him until you stand before Him in utter horror, realizing how wrong you were. You call Greg and III a “Hater and Lunatic” when they are telling you the truth and you insult such a godly man as Ray Comfort without even knowing who he is. “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.” Isaiah 5:20 “And I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” Matthew 12:36 Eternity is a long time nob…think about it.

  • Greg

nob – you seem to have done a lot of Bible research in a previous posting in which you twisted so many scriptures. You may have read that we are commanded to study to show ourselves approved and to test every spirit. You probably read that the Bereans were praised because they tested everything they were taught by fellow Christians against the scripture. That wasn’t hateful, it was prudent. The only thing I “hate” is the fact that so many people like you are going to spend an eternity in hell and I hate Satan for being so relentless and effective at deceiving the masses like you to go there with him. God didn’t create that place for you but there will be room for you if that is where you are committed to spend eternity.

  • xyloman

Lets get this VERY straight. An Atheist is not a God-hater. Repeat: An Atheist is not a God-hater!

    Got it folks?

They can’t be because they don’t accept the premise of a Supreme Being. They are ‘without god’ NOT ‘against god’ – look at the logic! Reason my friends. Reason.

I find, as someone who has worked PERSONALLY for Madalyn Murray O’Hair and more recently, Billy Graham (in the early 90’s) that this whole god-hater stuff comes from WITHIN the Church ITSELF.

I see it everyday. The hypocrites … the complete disregard for VIRTUALLY anything Jesus stood for.

I have found that many Atheists actually find the words of Jesus to be quite profound and worth noting …

Thanks all. PS: Madalyn was a great woman to work for. I cherish every moment I had with her

  • Greg

xylo – God didn’t create the hypocrital mindset that has caused you to hate God and he will send all sinners to hell along with the God-haters.

Let’s get this VERY straight. There is no such thing as an atheist because God created even morons with too much mental capacity to believe that creation was not created. There ARE many god-haters who express their hatred of God like a child with pouting and revenge of “OK, God, I’m just going to pretend you don’t even exist and attack those who acknowledge that you do exist.” How do you think God has failed you? Was there one specific issue that brought you to that point of hatred towards God or was it a series of events? Are you going to be so stupid as to allow “hypocrites” to put you in hell for eternity?

  • Greg

xylo – another thing to consider is that many people who “invite Jesus into their heart” through the false Billy Graham salvation message end up hating God just as you do. I got “saved” at a BG crusade at the age of 11 and God kept tugging at my heart to get saved for years afterwards when I heard true altar calls. The problem with BG’s false message is that it is not Biblical. God does not have a wonderful plan for our lives even though all blessings come from the Lord and Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Christians sometimes get robbed, raped, murdered, cheated, lied to, rejected, shunned, outcast, unjustly hated, feel hunger, pain and thirst, etc. When people get “saved” under the false four spiritual laws salvation process they tend to end up hating God, as you do, when trials come. Salvation is about repenting of our sins and believing that the shed blood of Jesus Christ has saved us from the eternity in hell that we deserve. That does not mean that all of a sudden we get nothing but bliss and a trouble-free life. It does mean that we can take all of our cares to the Lord and it also means that we don’t have to pay for our own sins with eternity in hell.

  • xyloman

Whoa! I never said I hate God – by no means. I respect your point of view – just don’t put words in my mouth.
The jury is out on the god idea – I could be right I could be wrong. MOSTLY, I am willing to SEE and accept the evidence that would sway me or anyone else on way or the other. That’s the beauty of science!
Unfortunately – SOME God believers accept blindly WITHOUT a rational thought process. Anyway – that may not be you … I certainly am not pegging as as this type.
Atheists exist my friend. Most do not HATE God. I can tell you that from experience of KNOWING them. I also work closely with Christianity and respect it 100%! Morals can and in fact DO exist WITHOUT any God or Supreme Being. That’s just the facts.

God can not fail one if God never was. Moot point. A wash.

Can any boy/girl at 11 understand what God is? I don’t think so.

You just need to chill on the Christian thing and discuss these great topics with a more ‘open heart and mind.’

  • xyloman

Oh yes … I am very comfortable in knowing where I am going ‘in the end.’

That my friend, is just fine. I do not fear that one iota.

  • Greg

xylo – nice to communicate with you. I have studied in great detail and allowed myself to question many things and explored many beliefs so that I could be firm in what I found to be the truth. I also have both a science degree and an engineering degree. There are topics to discuss and I attempt to place postings that cause people to think, but always with the goal of moving people to a Biblical worldview and with the hope that it will create a spark to move them into the truth and salvation through Jesus Christ. All of those great topics, however, are completely moot when people fail to understand who is in control. The physical world you see and the science that you believe is so valuable will all pass away. Science is now, in large part, a joke because science was adulterated in order to accommodate the mythology of evolution, a myth created specifically to allow people to pretend there is no god and no consequences to sin. We are in a spiritual battle and that is what is eternal.

  • The Libertarian

The monetary system facilitates most of the moral decline in this country. It’s evident in young women who subject themselves to over-the-top sexual encounters falsely depicted in pornographic features. Try doing some research on why women appear in porn, and you’ll find that the majority do so for monetary gain. Pornography, prostitution, and other illicit activities are bi-products of a corrupt and unsustainable monetary system. One can argue that prohibition is the solution, but such elements will continue to exist and it will burden citizens with taxes to help enforce and prosecute individuals who break laws designed make our society “moral.”
