We Are In The Midst Of The Worst Drug Crisis In American History

There has never been a time in our history when more Americans have been on drugs.  According to the most recent government numbers, 24.6 million Americans have used an illegal drug within the last 30 days.  Of course the number of Americans taking legal drugs is actually far, far higher.  According to Bloomberg, 46 percent of all Americans have taken at least one legal pharmaceutical drug within the last 30 days.  In most instances, those legal drugs have been prescribed by doctors with the intention of helping people, but sometimes legal drugs are even more addictive than illegal drugs are.  In particular, opioids have destroyed countless American lives over the past decade, and in so many cases those that got addicted originally got them legally.  Today, Americans consume approximately 80 percent of the total global supply of opioids, and it is a major national crisis.  But even if we were able to get rid of all the opioids, we would still be the most drugged up nation on the entire planet.  We have become a nation of addicts, and the self-destructive path that we are on does not have a positive ending. Is it just a coincidence that many of the greatest cities in America became poverty-infested hellholes once the Democrats took charge of things?  Detroit, Baltimore, Chicago, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Oakland and Memphis were all once great cities.  But after an extended period of control by the Democratic Party, each one of them has become a festering crisis that never seems to end.  I thought that I was going to do an article about Baltimore today, but it occurred to me that the exact same things that are happening in Baltimore are also happening in a multitude of other major cities, and the common theme among all of them is that the Democrats are in control.  But even though this is the case, voters in those cities just keep choosing Democrats election after election anyway. When the price of oil first started crashing, most Americans and most Canadians applauded. Most people thought that lower gas prices would be really good for the economy. Bryce WilliamsHave you noticed that more Americans than ever seem to be going totally insane?  When even reporters start going on racially-motivated shooting sprees, you know that things are getting crazy in this country.  On Wednesday, most Americans were absolutely stunned to learn that a former WDBJ-TV reporter shot and killed a 24-year-old female reporter named Alison Parker and a 27-year-old male cameraman named Adam Ward right as they were in the middle of shooting a live news segment at 6:45 in the morning.  As a reporter, the shooter was known as “Bryce Williams”, but his legal name was Vester Lee Flanagan II.  He fled the scene, but was later tracked down by police.  Before they could take him into custody he shot himself, and he later died at a hospital in northern Virginia.  So what would cause a talented young man to do such a thing?
