Generation Snowflake: Safe Spaces, Trigger Warnings And The Wussification Of Our Young People

Crying - Public DomainWhy do so many of our young people instantly break down in tears the moment anything seriously offends them?  Have we raised an entire generation that has been so coddled and that is so spineless that it is completely incapable of dealing with the harsh realities of the modern world?  At colleges and universities all over America, students are now demanding “safe spaces” where anything and everything that could possibly make them feel “uncomfortable” is banned.  And “trigger warnings” are being placed on some of our great literary classics because they might cause some students to feel “unsafe” because they may be reminded of a past trauma.  In this day and age, our overly coddled young people have come to expect that they should be automatically shielded from anything that could remotely be considered harmful or offensive, and as a result we now have an entire generation that is completely lacking in toughness.  That may be fine as long as you can depend on Mom and Dad, but how in the world are these young men and women going to handle the difficult challenges that come with living in the real world? Hillary Clinton Benghazi - Public DomainIt is amazing to me that the American people would willingly choose an exceedingly wicked woman such as Hillary Clinton to lead them.  Perhaps this is just more evidence of how incredibly far we have fallen as a nation.  There are many out there that are comparing Hillary Clinton to Queen Jezebel from ancient Israel, but to me there is another figure in the Bible that is much more appropriate.  Somewhere around 2800 years ago, King Jehoram of Judah was married to a very wicked woman named Athaliah.  When Jehoram unexpectedly died, his son Ahaziah became king of Judah for about a year, but then he died too.  At that point Athaliah seized power and tried to kill off all male descendants that might pose a threat to her reign.  Fortunately, one very young male descendant did survive, and Athaliah was finally deposed after six horrible years.  If you take a close look at the careers of Hillary Clinton and Athaliah, there are definitely some striking parallels between the two… (Read More...)

6-6-16: Satanists In Los Angeles Will Construct A Giant Pentagram To ‘Raise Awareness’ For Satanism

666 - Photo by Miran Rijavec on FlickrOn June 6th, a group from the Satanic Temple in Los Angeles will use GPS technology to construct a giant pentagram around the city of Lancaster, which is located in northern Los Angeles County.  The goal is to “raise awareness” for Satanism, and it looks like this event has already accomplished that goal.  Of course this particular date was chosen because it corresponds closely to “666” and the Mark of the Beast that we read about in the Book of Revelation, and therefore this little group of Satanists will receive some unusual media attention this week.  But as you will see below, there are other things that we should be far more concerned about than this. Hell Bridge - Public DomainWhen was the last time you heard a sermon about hell?  Just think about that for a moment.  Once upon a time in America, preachers all across the land regularly unleashed fiery sermons that directly confronted people with the reality of heaven and hell.  But today, that has completely changed.  In fact, there are some very well-known ministers in this country that purposely avoid ever using the word “hell” because it might offend someone.  It turns out that “happy church” can be a very lucrative business model, and many people seem to love the “me first” prosperity gospel that has infected virtually all of the major denominations at this point.  So there are countless messages about “blessing”, “breakthrough” and how God can make your life better, and very, very little preaching about sin, judgment, the cross and the urgency that we should feel to reach lost souls with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pope Francis 2 - Public DomainWhen Pope Francis met with Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb on Monday, he told him that “our meeting is the message“.  So precisely what kind of “message” was Pope Francis attempting to convey?  Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb is the Grand Imam of Cairo’s Al-Azhar Mosque, and some have described him as “the highest figure in Sunni Islam“.  The Daily Mail said that the meeting between these two men was a “historic bid to reopen dialogue between the two churches”, and as you will see below this is yet another in a long series of attempts by Pope Francis to build bridges between Catholicism and various other faiths.  In the end, what are we to make of all of this?  Could it be possible that Pope Francis is laying the groundwork for the “super world church” and the coming one world religion that David Wilkerson and so many others have warned about?
