Divide And Conquer: Are The Left And The Right In America About To Go To War With Each Other?

Every single day, America is becoming a little bit more divided.  It is probably not a stretch to say that there could be more political hatred in this country today than at any time since the Civil War.  In fact, there are some very disturbing signs that the very heated war of words between the two major political parties could soon spill over into very real violence in the streets.  Instead of uniting and focusing on our real enemies and on our real problems, the left and the right in America seem ready to go to war with each other.  The mainstream media and those that control both political parties love to play “divide and conquer”, and in America today we are taught to pick one political “team” and to absolutely hate those on the other side.  But instead of two real choices, what we really have is a false left/right paradigm.  The reality is that the two political parties are controlled by the same people at the highest levels.  For example, did you know that 3 of the top 7 donors to Barack Obama’s campaign in 2008 were major Wall Street banks?  Both the Republicans and the Democrats are very tightly controlled.  That is why nothing seems to really change no matter who we elect.  But rather than waking up and uniting to take on our real problems, the American people are increasingly choosing to hate one another. 12 Signs That We Are Getting Dangerously Close To War With Syria

Are you ready for another war?  Now that Barack Obama and most of the other major leaders of the western world are publicly calling for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to step down, we are getting dangerously close to war with Syria.  It is not going to happen next week, and it is almost certainly not going to happen next month.  But right now the U.S. government is going down the exact same road that it went down with Libya.  There is all kinds of talk about how Assad has lost “legitimacy”, “human rights violations” have been declared, sanctions have been imposed and Syrian government assets have been frozen.  But just like with Gaddafi, Assad has no intention of ever stepping down.  He is not going to resign just because the U.S. and the EU ask him too.  The opposition in Syria is certainly not strong enough to remove Assad, so just about the only way that it will be accomplished is through direct military action.  Right now the U.S. and the EU are basically painting themselves into a corner with their bold declarations about Assad.  But when the time comes will they be willing to risk starting World War III in order to remove him from power? Barack Obama’s Plan To Tax Americans For The Number Of Miles That They Drive Is Part Of The Radical Green Agenda Being Shoved Down The Throats Of The Entire World

Do you know what a trial balloon is?  It is when politicians will float an idea in the media to see what the reaction of the public will be.  Well, right now one trial balloon that is being floated is the idea that we should tax Americans for the number of miles that they drive.  This proposal showed up in a draft bill that was being circulated within the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Office of Management and Budget.  You can view a copy of this draft bill here.  Of course the Obama administration is denying that this proposal will be in the final draft of the legislation.  The Obama administration is stressing that this was just “a draft” of the bill.  But this is what happens very often with trial balloons.  They are put out there and the politicians will say things like “this is being studied” or “this isn’t a serious proposal yet” and then one day we all wake up and it is suddenly being implemented.  The fact that there is even draft legislation that would tax Americans based on the number of miles that they drive should be incredibly sobering for all of us.  If the global warming alarmists have their way, there are going to be lots of these kinds of taxes in our future. Is Barack Obama About To Order The U.S. Military To Invade Libya?

As insane as it might sound, the United States may soon be getting involved in another war in the Middle East.  According to White House spokesman Jay Carney, “no options” have been taken off the table when it comes to the situation in Libya.  By saying that “all options” are being considered, that is basically a way for the Obama administration to threaten Gadhafi without actually coming right out and threatening him.  In recent days, news reports have been appearing all over the mainstream media hyping the possibility that we may have to take military action in Libya.  This would not be happening if the White House did not want it to happen.  The truth is that Barack Obama is apparently seriously considering U.S. military action in Libya.  At first that would probably consist of air strikes and missile attacks, but if the Obama administration decides that it is going to take ground forces to get the job done then we could eventually see the U.S. military actually invade Libya.  But the truth is that any military intervention in Libya would be a really, really bad idea.  Is it really wise to stick our young men and women into the middle of an incredibly bloody civil war?  Do we want to spill even more American blood in order to protect “U.S. interests”?  Do we really want to spend young American lives to keep the price of oil low?  The truth is that the world hates us enough already.  How much more will they hate us if we decide to start bombing Libya into oblivion? Globalist Shill Barack Obama Asks Business Leaders For Job Creation Ideas Even As He Ships More Of Our Jobs Overseas As Part Of The New One World Economy

The other day, Barack Obama summoned a group of business and labor leaders to the White House and “challenged” them to come up with some great ideas for creating more jobs inside the United States.  Meanwhile, Barack Obama is pushing hard for Congress to approve the new free trade agreement with South Korea.  This is yet another bad “free trade agreement” in a long string of bad “free trade agreements” that are absolutely gutting the U.S. economy.  The truth is that the United States has become a nation which is constantly consuming more while at the same time producing less and less.  The gap between the wealth that this nation produces and the wealth that this nation consumes is becoming absolutely astronomical.  But instead of fighting for changes that would keep American jobs in America, Barack Obama has allied himself with the multinational corporations that are making huge profits by outsourcing and offshoring our middle class jobs as part of the new one world economy.  Our politicians can give speeches until they are blue in the face about how “wonderful” globalism is, but the truth is that it is taking millions of our jobs away and it is ripping the U.S. middle class to shreds. Recession Over Or Just Beginning? 21 “Oh Crap!” Statistics About The U.S. Economy

Is the recession over or is the economic downturn just beginning?  Barack Obama and the Federal Reserve have been busy proclaiming that the U.S. economy is back on track, but the sad truth is that our economic problems look like they are about to get a whole lot worse.  Without oil, our entire economy would shut down cold.  Thanks to the chaos in the Middle East, oil is absolutely exploding in price.  In fact, the price of oil in the United States went up more than seven dollars today.  The global price of food has risen to record levels over the past 12 months and it is projected to continue to rapidly increase throughout all of 2011.  This is going to hit struggling families all over the globe very hard.  Meanwhile, thousands of manufacturing facilities and millions of good jobs continue to flee the United States.  The gap between the wealth that we consume as a nation and the wealth that we produce as a nation continues to grow.  We have attempted to fill this gap with asset sales and with massive amounts of debt, but that is a game that cannot last forever.  When we come to the end of every single month, we are poorer as a nation and we are deeper in debt as a nation.  From “sea to shining sea” we have become a nation that is flooded with red ink. Government Shutdown 2011? 5 Reasons Why It Wouldn’t Really Matter Either Way

Is the U.S. government going to shutdown on March 4th, 2011?  Possibly.  The current temporary funding extension expires on that day.  Speaker of the House John Boehner has pledged that the Republicans in the House will not pass another temporary funding extension that does not include “deep” cuts.  Barack Obama has pledged that he will veto the 61 billion dollars of budget cuts that the House of Representatives has just passed.  So now Boehner and Obama are playing a really bizarre game of chicken, and if neither of them blinks the U.S. government will shut down on March 4th.  So what will that mean?  Well, in a “government shutdown”, the entire government does not actually shut down.  Rather, only “essential personnel” are kept on during a shutdown and only “essential services” are provided.  Barack Obama would keep showing up at the White House and the U.S. military would continue to do their thing.  But it would cause a temporary disruption to a lot of government activities that people normally rely on. 9 Reasons Why The START Treaty Must Be Stopped

As the U.S. military continues to waste an enormous amount of energy and resources patrolling the streets of Iraqi cities and digging goat herders out of the caves of Afghanistan, a very real threat to the national security of the United States is developing and very few people even seem concerned about it.  It is called the START Treaty, and Barack Obama is desperately trying to ramrod it through the lame duck session of Congress.  Barack Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev agreed to the terms of the treaty back in April, and two-thirds of the U.S. Senate must vote for it in order for the treaty to become law.  So what is so bad about the treaty?  Well, for starters, it almost totally defangs the U.S. strategic nuclear arsenal that has protected us for the past six decades, it puts serious restrictions on the ability of the United States to develop any kind of missile defense and it puts the U.S. military at a very significant strategic disadvantage.
