You Will Be Shocked At The Sick Things That People Are Doing To Cats In America

Billboard Response To Abandoned Kittens from Panhandle Animal ShelterWhat would you do if you discovered that someone had sealed four kittens in a cardboard box with duct tape and tossed them in a dumpster?  What would you do if you personally witnessed someone toss a cat out of a vehicle that was moving down the road at high speed?  As America becomes increasingly cold-hearted, people are doing things to animals that are incredibly sick and disgusting.  It has been said that a society is judged by how it treats those that are most vulnerable, and our pets are completely and totally dependent on us for their welfare.  When we treat them like garbage, it reveals what is truly in our own hearts.  If you have a weak stomach, you may not want to read this article.  Some of the things that people are doing to cats in this country are absolutely horrific.

For example, a group of high school students in the state of Oklahoma recently “filmed themselves performing a sick dance routine with dead cats”

A group of students at one of America’s top high schools filmed themselves performing a sick dance routine with dead cats in their classroom before posting the video on Facebook, the Daily Mail Online can reveal.

The disturbing footage shows eight young students from a flagship charter school – which is rated among the best schools in the USA – making the cat corpses ‘dance’ to music in a school laboratory while being ‘conducted’ by another student.

The students, from the Harding Charter Preparatory High School in Oklahoma, ranked number one in Oklahoma and 23 in the USA, can be seen laughing as they stand in a row with the cats – meant to be dissected in their anatomy class – then wave them side to side to the ‘Meow Mix’ cat food commercial song.

You can find video of this very sick dance routine right here.

And what in the world are high school students doing “dissecting cats” for anatomy class anyway?

Personally, I have a major problem with cutting cats open for “educational purposes”.  No high school kid should ever be doing that.

But this is what is happening to our culture.  For large segments of our population, animals have no other purpose than to be used and abused by us however we want.

This next example is even more disturbing.  In Sandpoint, Idaho someone recently sealed four precious little kittens in a cardboard box with duct tape and left them to die in a dumpster.  Here is a photo of the kittens after they had been rescued…

Abandoned Kittens - Panhandle Animal Shelter

It was the Panhandle Animal Shelter in Sandpoint that posted this photo on Facebook, and the following is what they had to say about this incident…

Please do the right thing and bring animals into the shelter. We are available for intakes between 8:30-5:30 at the “incoming animal” door. These beautiful babies were left in a cardboard box closed with duct tape and placed in the dumpster. Fortunately a kind person heard them and saved them from a horrible death.

In response, the animal shelter posted this message on their billboard…

Billboard Response To Abandoned Kittens from Panhandle Animal Shelter

Another extremely disturbing incident just recently took place in Minnesota.  An eyewitness actually saw a driver throw a cat out onto the road while the vehicle was still moving.  Needless to say, the cat suffered severe injuries

A reward is being offered to find the driver who tossed a cat out of the window of a moving vehicle in Roseville.

The cat was thrown from a blue van or blue sedan driving southbound on Rice Street in Roseville on Saturday, May 2. She sustained broken teeth and three fractures to her hind leg, and much of the skin on her paws and tail was torn off.

Officer Jason Gehrman with the Roseville Police Department responded to a call outside Setzer Pharmacy. He said a woman witnessed the cat being thrown out of the moving car window and went into traffic herself to save the struggling cat.

Are you angry yet?

You should be.

And of course these are far from isolated incidents.  Our entire nation is becoming more wicked and more evil with each passing day.  This is something that I covered in my recent article entitled “11 Examples Of How Evil Is Growing In America Like A Cancerous Tumor“.

So why is this happening to our society?

Why is there so much moral decay all around us?

I believe that the dramatic decline of Christianity in the United States has a lot to do with it.  According to a brand new Pew Research report entitled “America’s Changing Religious Landscape”, the proportion of the population that considers themselves to be “Christian” in any way, shape or form has been shrinking dramatically.  This is especially true of our young people.  The following comes from CNN

Released Tuesday, the survey of 35,000 American adults shows the Christian percentage of the population dropping precipitously, to 70.6%. In 2007, the last time Pew conducted a similar survey, 78.4% of American adults called themselves Christian.

In the meantime, almost every major branch of Christianity in the United States has lost a significant number of members, Pew found, mainly because millennials are leaving the fold. More than one-third of millennials now say they are unaffiliated with any faith, up 10 percentage points since 2007.

With each passing generation, this nation is becoming less and less “Christian”.  You can see this very clearly in the numbers.  After compiling all the data, Pew found that 85 percent of all Americans born between 1928 and 1945 still consider themselves to be “Christian”, but for those born since 1990 it is just 56 percent

Looking at the long view, the generational spans are striking. Whereas 85% of the silent generation (born 1928-1945) call themselves Christians, just 56% of today’s younger millennials (born 1990-1996) do the same, even though the vast majority — about eight in 10 — were raised in religious homes.

Without the morality of the Christian faith to guide them, an increasing number of our young people are basing their moral decisions on whatever “feels right” to them.

These days, most people (whether “Christian” or not) are doing whatever seems right in their own eyes, and our society is becoming increasingly chaotic as a result.

So what is the solution?  Please feel free to share what you think by posting a comment below…

  • Jesus must increase

I seriously doubt that a Christian is more or less moral than a nonbeliever. Churches are hospitals for sinners. Being a Christian is only humbling yourself and coming to the realization, that despite what nonbelievers think about Heaven, it’s not “good deeds” that allow entrance there. Grace alone saves us.

We have people abandoning babies in the trash, so why wouldn’t they do this to kittens? In fact several countries have created a special enclosure so people can abandon their babies in a safer way at medical centers!

If you were to do some reading on early red flags of sociopathic behavior, then you’d see torture and abuse of animals. In history this is often one of the very things mentioned with murderers. In times past, it was not uncommon for people to drown kittens due to their high rate of producing offspring, so it’s been a historical occurrence with evidence in books.

When people are flat broke, which Americans are now, for some 93 million have no work, then we can expect more and more of these stories. For a long time I’ve preached that one red flag for economic collapse is the number of feral dogs and cats in your region. When people don’t have food for their families, they abandon them to the wild or to rural areas. Ask any farmer about the sudden appearance of feral dogs and cats along with their offspring.

In an economic collapse, one of the most dangerous aspects could be dog bites as dogs will breed and run in packs. Smart preppers should think about this being a possibility as well as being cognizant of the amount of coyotes in their region. Feral dogs will breed with coyotes on occasion and produce coy dogs. Knowing how to make a simple but effective restraining device to loop around their neck, might save your family from bites.

I’m not certain why more people don’t spay their pets. Unless they’re breed worthy animals, then there really is no reason to fail to do this. Too many people own pets, don’t care for them, abuse them, and abandon them.

Certainly a good trained dog can become a companion and not just a pet, but only with the right compassionate owner. Few owners fit into that category, but leave them alone all day, leaving them with newspaper as their bathroom, and there only connection to them is so tenuous as to hardly qualify as even a pet anymore.

    • Mike

You seriously doubt that a sinner is more or less moral than a non-Christian? I was a lost sinner that did pretty much what I wanted before I Repented and gave my life to Jesus Christ, the creator of morals. You know the tree by the fruit it bears. Your statement is antithetical to what the bible teaches about being born again..

      • Jesus must increase

Apples and oranges, my Brother in Christ. While the term “born-again” and “Christian” should be synonyms, the reality is many people are simply born into the faith. It never takes hold and becomes a passion. They attend church as a social activity. They lack conviction of belief. The self-declared Christian never finds a ministry to participate in…even on a weekly basis. They lack any Biblical knowledge but their Bible sits on a shelf gathering dust.

If we were to look at criminal statistics, or abortion statistics, or child abuse, or whatever, you’d see just as many self-declared Christians committing heinous acts as you would nonbelievers. It’s a sad, extremely tragic fact.

Our profession of faith by identifying as Christians doesn’t mean we are truly born again. Oh how I wish that were true from ministry!

It’s only when you realize that you are no better when you become born again, but cognizant that your salvation comes not from within by good deeds, but by the grace of Jesus Christ, who is both Lord and Master of your Life, as well as the Saviour of your soul and others, that we are humbled. We don’t exalt our status as Christians, but weep at our daily manifold sins and wickedness.

For if the self-declaration of our salvation made us refrain from sin and be more moral, would not the whole world see it as proof of Jesus the Christ? We fail as Christians because we should be MORE moral, not relatively unchanged by our personal relationship with Jesus.

This is the sad truth of ministry. Only by daily realizing how dependent we are on Jesus, and by intentionally fulfilling the responsibilities to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit those in prison, etc are we truly Jesus sheep and not goats who will be in Hell. We must never assume that those who declare their faith as Christians actually do it in reality. It’s why finding a ministry is so vital, for in that humility of service, we are reminded of Jesus sacrifice, not only to die upon the hard wood of the cross, but to daily serve others as Him most certainly did.

        • Paul Patriot

True. The parable of the sower explains the difference between religious, false converts , church goers, and those who are truly born again.

The fruits are the witness to a truly transformed life.

      • I’m not Christian and I treat animals better than many Christians. I won’t even kill insects unless there’s a reason to.

As far as the Christian religion being the true one, I read that a long time ago Billy Graham left overseas in shame. The Muhammadian’s challenged him. They pointed out Bible verses like “and greater works than these shall he do,” “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Show me one Christian church that can do what the Bible promises they would do.
If you go on a missionary trip overseas some of the educated “heathens” will challenge you the same way they did Billy Graham.

        • MrApple

So Christians are bad because they kill bugs? Are you taking the proper dosage of your meds?

          • i mean i don’t kill stuff like honey bees. not stuff that bites me. i kill those
i meant to change it but was waiting till i got a few seconds off work

most people who comment online don’t type what they mean all the time

    • Paul Patriot

Disagree. Before being saved by the grace of God through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, my moral compass was a LOT more open and unbridled than it is now.

If someone is truly “born again” there conduct, thinking will change radically. Although they will not be perfect, still occupying a sinful flesh, their moral compass and desire to walk in obedience to Christ will have an adverse effect on how they conduct their life, and what they stay away from.

      • jaxon64

Agreed–it actually should become hard for a true believer to commit immoral acts as they grow in their relationship with the Living god. The conviction of the Holy Spirit in a Christian’s life is something that is lacking in the moral-relativistic society that perpetrates such atrocities.
I’m not saying that we become sin free after we are saved through grace–but this cold-hearted evil should be out of the question for those living according to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
This is one of the things that separates Christianity from false religions such as islam–when Christians perform evil such as murder, rape, torture ( and some do–and still CALL themselves Christian) we are acting against what Christianity teaches while other evil tomes like the Koran teach to perform these evils.

        • Jesus must increase

It “should” be the case that God would come first before what we “think” is moral, but that isn’t the case, is it in Christianity? If you were to ask some ardent Christian who has been tested by living in the Middle East or Africa, and who have been threatened by Islam, and then ask them if they can tell the difference between a Christian and nonbeliever in America…my gut hunch is that most will sadly shake their heads…no.

Yes, there are some Christians who are passionately born again, and their countenance shines like the sun, for their inner belief and the fruit of their lives are in perfect accord. One has an immediate sense of their conviction. Their faith is unshakable. They do ministry. They actively believe. They tithe but also donate enormous time and extra money to the church.

How many Christians do you know like this? Not many. It’s not as simple as a mathematical formula that spiritual conversion to Christianity, or being raised as a Christian equates to morality.

How many politicians claim to be Christians and then not only vote for legislation that harms Christians, but even sponsor those bills?

How many medical staff perform procedures that are against their medical beliefs?

How many lawyers defend known criminals even though it’s costing them their souls?

How many soldiers harm civilians even when it’s immoral and contrary to the Bible? How could you be a drone pilot and kill hundreds randomly to achieve one possible death and say that’s Biblical?

How many parents teach their children such and such is wrong due to the Bible, and then do it themselves?

How many times do we weaken and do what is socially acceptable even though it’s both immoral and anti-Biblical?

Luckily we have grace despite our failures. No human being could be saved based upon being moral alone. It’s endlessly trying to be better, improving our morality, and living a better Christian example instead.

The biggest myth is that somehow human beings will be altered into moral people by becoming Christians. By being born again and working at it moment by moment perhaps, but not by simply being raised in the faith.

    • TidbitsofTorah

you said “Grace alone saves us”. I believe you need to study a bit more. 1) King Solomon proclaimed “Tzedakah saves from death” (Proverbs 10:2). Charity relieves the recipient and preserves his life.

      • Jesus must increase

Well this is in perfect accordance to Jesus’ teaching, isn’t it? If a person is born again, they are not merely giving intellectual assent, but actually loving God with all their Heart, Soul, and Mind plus loving their neighbor as their self. [Mathew 22]This is also what Jesus teaches in the parable of the Sheep and the Goats as well.[Mathew 25] This is also in accord to what James says, “Faith without works is dead.” [James 2]

In all of these cases, the real sign of being transformed into a new life through Jesus (being born again) will be seen in actions as well as intentions.

But no matter what, we cannot be saved by our actions alone. Jesus teaches us, “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6. It is not our deeds that save us, the grace given us through Jesus.

Do you remember how lost the disciples were after Jesus left them? They didn’t know what to do with themselves, and Simon Peter said, “I’m going fishing.” Try as he might, he caught nothing. He couldn’t do his old job anymore. Not now having served Jesus as Master.

But Jesus provided the fish. And what did he say? What was the proof of our being born again?
Feed my Lambs. Take care of my sheep. Feed my sheep. (John 21). Jesus sacrifice once and for all on the cross was the perfect blood sacrifice. He did it all, for all Humanity, and for all TIME. All we need do is accept Grace. But as a sign of that transformation of being born again…the sign of truly loving Jesus…He insists that the PROOF is in how we are moral to one another by practically and spiritually feeding them and caring for them. John 21 is in perfect accordance with the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats, with James admonition, with the Summary of the Law, with Jesus teaching to Nicodemus, and the rest of the Bible.

How about a Humane Society killing cats left and right?
Doing it at the direction of the state! Same with excess dogs.
How about the same agency going out and nailing people for having animals and searching homes with warrants with no actual proof of anything? Then 3 weeks later they kill the animals because they have no room for more.
Yes, I find a lot of things sickening.
We have a large population of homeless animals because people are out of work and are losing their homes and have been for quite some time. They often end up in low cost housing for low income people. Pets are not allowed in many places.

Many of these animals are wild because they have not been trained as babies. And the population of wild animals does keep growing.
Many animal shelters are sterilizing the animals and turning them loose to make sure the population doesn’t grow out of hand.
The more sterile animals the more we control populations.
A typical pet is an expense of over 1000 dollars over time. Including funeral costs for beloved animals.

Cat food just went up on the shelves. A large can went from 76 cents to a $1.08 in one week at Walmart. All this enters in when people must make hard decisions as to whether or not they can keep a pet. Many do it anyway and cut back somewhere else.
Well that money adds up, especially if someone has more than one pet. And that happens.
It isn’t just about horrible people. It is about people having to make decisions that are hard to live with. It is about people ending up living in their cars or in homeless shelters because there is no way to make a living any more.

Ask anyone managing a homeless shelter. They will give you all kinds of tales of what is going on.

Some of the stories I used to watch on Animal Planet’s “Animal Cops” were very disturbing examples of government cruelty. In one case, “humane” officers seized all the pets belonging to an old lady while she cried helplessly, begged them not to hurt her animals, and vainly pleaded with them not to take her beloved cats and dogs away. (This took place in Houston). I think that the show’s producers wanted us to believe that these creatures were being rescued from an awful situation and would be adopted into loving homes. I was skeptical, though.

      • DJohn1

It has come down to the fact that the government actually has laws against people hoarding animals. So if someone has more than 3 animals in some communities they are outlaws.
The problem is some people want to keep every animal they find. Which means a house out of control with sometimes 60 or more animals.
The house itself is a serious violation of health rules when that happens.
More than likely the woman was taken to a nursing home “for her own good” and is now one of millions warehoused.
The real solution has to be something a little less evil than the one currently being practiced all over the country.
We do have organizations out there that do practice finding good homes for lost animals. These organizations unlike government sponsored Humane Society type organizations do not practice killing off animals.

        • Kelly little

I’m dicussted with those pepole who did that such cruelty I would gladly take them if I lied up there

  • Mark Herrera

Ok I love cats so much that I really did not bother to read this article. I’m sure it is very disturbing and I didn’t want to get into the grisly details and risk turning my stomach inside out and feeling nauseated. I just scrolled down really fast to post this comment.

    • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

Don’t be afraid to read the article. One story had to do with cats that were already dead, and the other two had happy endings. ( I also adore cats)

  • K

None of this is really surprising. There is a general lack of respect for life in general. When you snuff out human life with out any hesitation. What chance does a cat have?

  • James Burge

You don’t have to have a fear of the big man in the sky to know you shouldn’t abuse animals. In most cases people use religion as an excuse for being immoral.

    • Untergang07

Historically godless people have proven to be crueller than most theistic people. It doesn´t mean that there are not bad christians but the truth is that Atheists have no special reason to be compassionate, just ask Nietsche or Stalin…

    Not gonna read this one.

    • Neither did I. I was hard enough to give it a 10% skimming over :(

Why are Obama and so many politicians (Republican and Democrat) allowing massive amounts of immigrants flood into the USA? They are intentionally destabilizing the country. They are fearful of losing the Hispanic votes (for millions added to the rolls give them new political power). They are fearful that financially we don’t have enough workers to continue the globalists plans to subvert the American Republic.

Historically controlled immigration has added to the vitality of the citizenry. There’s nothing wrong with controlled immigration. To allow anyone willynilly to cross borders, even by transported by government agencies, is madness! So some folks from Europe, Africa, Asia, Central and South America have to follow the rules while the other need not? Err what???

American politicians are running scared, for they don’t want the Democrats to get these millions of new voters. It’s going to cause a seachange in America, not only politically, but socially, and no doubt spiritually.

By pure logic alone, it’s insane to massively add millions of illegal immigrants at once, for it effects medicine, public education, government assistance, etc. It’s intentionally destablizing the USA.

Add up all of these factors to something like the historic Drought, and massive unemployment (including veterans and recent college graduates), the derivative debacle, Obamacare, half of the states broke, and you’re going to eventually have civil unrest. The politicians are worried about it, and allow insane military manuevers like Jade Helm which are only marginally legal (for if at any time those soldiers act in a law enforcement capacity is would be outright illegal)….these politicians are simultaneously creating the civil unrest by allowing the implosion of the American industrial base plus the wide open floodgates of unchecked immigration.

  • Jesus must increase

What is Christianity really about? It isn’t about identifying with Jesus and joining a movement, and then making a declaration that people in “that” group are more moral as a result.

What Christianity is really about is getting back to Humanity’s role in God’s creation. On our own, the Bible teaches us that not only are we unable to distinguish between right and wrong, moral and immoral, but also even what is good and evil. The natural man or Humanity’s state without understand who and what God is, is one of utter rebellion. We desire our freedom to determine these things and that is not God’s intention for us.

Jesus makes this perfectly clear, “”Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good–except God alone.” Luke 18:19. Humanity doesn’t understand this very basic concept. We label all kinds of things “good” and yet that word should be reserved for God alone who is not only the Source of BEING and LOVE (that from whom all existence and all love flows from), but in addition, that from which all goodness flows from.

The central role of Humanity is to exist primarily a servant to God. Not our will be done, but God’s will be done. Not our desires be done, but God’s desires be accomplished by our seemingly insignificant acts.

Why is there suffering in the world? It’s because the essential nature of Humanity as the Natural Man to be independent, rebel against God, reject our role as stewards of the Earth “And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”” Genesis 1:28.

What does this passage mean? Are we to exalt ourselves as rulers? No, God is the Ruler of Creation, we are merely tasked to use our two hands, our two eyes, our two ears, our two legs…to act as agents to monitor and care for the Earth and ALL of the species within. Those species include not only the personal mammals we chose as pets and companions, but just as importantly the animals under our care that are domesticated. It means caring for the interconnection of all life forms in their vast diversity upon the Earth, for God has created them in wondrous interconnections to assist each other.

In addition to this, the parable of the Sheep and the Goats, the Summary of the Law, the lesson to Nicodemus to be born again, the admonition from James about works, the text from Genesis about stewardship, all of these things apply to one another. Human beings are also a species upon the Earth. Jesus tell us, “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” Matthew 25:40-41. The least of these, those who have no power. Those who have no status. Those who are carelessly disregarded as trash. Those who have no money. We should see the face of Jesus in every human being and facilitate change so as to help them feed, clothe, heal, and care for them in every way. Not to constantly do all of these things for them, but to mentor and teach them.

Being a born again Christian is not about deciding who is in and who is out from God’s grace. God’s grace extends to all that God calls. It is not up to us to judge them. Jesus doesn’t say judge them and see if they are worthy to be cared for. He simply says to care for them. It’s our responsibility.

And we do accept Jesus grace, and do His will be caring for the stranger, being good stewards of the Earth, then maybe our manifold sins and weaknesses might be forgiven.

Christianity is not about being more moral and feeling good about it. It’s about being aware moment-by-moment that we should be grateful and more humble about our status as servants to the King of Heaven. The last shall become first and the first shall become last.

Intentionally creating suffering as mentioned in the article, or intentionally causing suffering as mentioned all throughout the Bible, these are things which are immoral.

Jesus tells us that merely thinking about doing a sinful act is a sin. We dare not say we have no sin and are moral. We daily sin if only in our minds by trying to revert to the natural man who wants vengeance, who desires to judge others, who thinks more about their own abilities and no longer are utterly dependent upon God.

  • I’ve been to plenty of churches & they all have testimonies of healing but it’s always a placebo effect. Just like when someone takes a pill they get better, a lot of Christians get better after prayer because they think they got healed. It always takes awhile (like a few weeks) but never anything like Jesus supposedly did and certainly not greater works than Jesus like the Bible promised. The placebo effect (what someone thinks) is very powerful but it only works if someone believes they’ll get better.

  • I skimmed this article as I did not wish to read gruesome specifics. However, I would like to add that cruelty to cats is seen overwhelmingly in serial killers/serial torturers of women, while cruelty to dogs is most often seen in serial killers of men. (Forgive me if this article already stated this, as I said I did not want to walk around grossed out today by reading it all.)

Jeffrey Dahmer and Andrew Cunannan (and Ermin Meiwes too, if you count cannibals) ALL serial tortured dogs. And they all focused their adult rage on hurting men. But those who grew up to hurt, torture and abuse women mostly boasted about hurting, torturing, and abusing cats in their youth.

Although our household does not have cats, I still am leery about people who really dislike cats, as I have seen the correlation in their dislike of women as well! No, none of these people I’m thinking of have probably ever hurt a human creature (or even a feline one), but the I-hate-cats attitude lines up perfectly in those who portray the I-hate-women attitude.

My daughters and sons will only be dating people who love and respect all the animals, just to save themselves any grief!

  • Liz

I’m a cat-lover and I especially find this absolutely sickening. Makes me want to move out of this country even more.

Oh God! Back to the tear-jerking again.

  • Jesus must increase

Are you a self-declared Christian who is born again? There is suffering all around you. You can either complain about it impotently, play the blame game and point fingers at immorality, or you can do something about it.

If we do this…if we actively loved the stranger, picked one poor family and mentored them, did small benevolent deeds, volunteered based upon our many skills, participated in teaching practical prepper skills, encouraged those
who are doing moral things, made small donations to practically help others, went through our closets to find fine clothing that we can no longer wear, donated gently used items that we sit gathering dust in our basements and atics, volunteered at soup kitchens, did medical and standard
mission trips, volunteered to do both menial work as well as ministry at church that gets us noticed, etc then God will surely notice that The whole world will notice it too.

The Bible says that if you decide to humble yourself, accept Jesus as both the Lord of your Life (your Master), and accept that Jesus was God’s only begotten Son, who
humbled Himself to live as a human being, to die upon the cross to be the Savior of the whole world for all Time. If you do that, and then do the tiniest act like give a child a cup of water, then the Bible says you will be saved.

It’s not that we do these things to feel good or moral. It’s not that we fear Hell and eternal suffering. A born again Christian should be passionately in love with God, Jesus,
and the Holy Spirit. We do these acts of humility not out of fear, but because we should be aware that the entire world is suffering. The entire world is in bondage to sin, literally slaves to sin.

We don’t do these acts to remediate suffering to be thanked. We even, believe it or not, don’t do it to
persuade others. We do these things because Jesus told us that when we alleviate suffering, that this is the mark of being a true follower, a humble sheep for the Good Shepherd.

Let the nonbeliever mock us, that doesn’t matter. What matters is to truly love God and to show it in practical ways to alleviate suffering. For we were once suffering in
bondage before we knew it and knew Jesus to be our Lord and Savior.

  • “for good people to do bad things — that takes religion.”

Reminds me of all the animal sacrifices in the Bible & killing animals for other reasons listed in Exodus or Leviticus.
