Will The New Green Economy Kill The American Dream For Millions Of People?

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

As Barack Obama and U.S. Senators John Kerry and Joe Lieberman continue to try to ramrod a “green economy bill” down the throats of the American people, many Americans are openly wondering what this new green economy is going to cost all of us.  After all, two new reports have just come out that clearly indicate that “climate change legislation” is really, really bad for an economy.  In fact, many are projecting that the cap and trade system that Barack Obama and the Democrats wish to impose on all of us will end up killing the American Dream for millions of people.  At a time when the U.S. economy is already coming apart at the seams, the last thing we need is another huge mountain of oppressive regulations heaped on to American businesses.  This is especially true considering the fact that global corporations have already shown that they will ship manufacturing jobs out of the United States at the drop of a hat.  The reality is that the new green economy is not going to be good for any of us, and the American people need to wake up to that fact.

First of all, before we explore the economic dangers of this new green economy, we should make it clear that carbon dioxide simply does not cause global warming.

Dr. Tim Ball, a renowned environmental consultant and former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg, has studied this for years and he says that it abundantly clear that carbon dioxide cannot possibly cause “global warming”….

“CO2 is about 1.5 the density of air. One of the great fallacies promoted by [the proponents of the global warming theory] is that CO2 is well and quickly mixed through the atmosphere. It isn’t. They also argue that the CO2 is most effective in trapping heat from the Earth (infrared) at the top of the atmosphere. This is why the computer models predicted greatest warming at the top of the atmosphere over the tropics. The problem is the actual measurements show that is not happening.”

The truth is that carbon dioxide is one of the fundamental building blocks of life.  In fact, scientists tell us that there were times in the earth’s past when there were much, much higher concentrations of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere than there are now.  When there is more carbon dioxide, plant life thrives and there is more food for everyone.

But the environmentalists just won’t listen.  It is as if nothing will shake their blind faith in global warming.  But the facts are out there for anyone with an open mind.  For much more on the fraud of “global warming”, just check out the following article:  “How To Save The Environment? Get Al Gore The Heck Away From It”.

In fact, even if we eliminated every single source of carbon dioxide emissions caused by humans, it would hardly make a dent in total worldwide carbon emissions.  Over 95% of total carbon dioxide emissions would occur even if humans were not present on Earth.

So those who are trying so hard to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in order to “save the environment” are chasing after some sort of a fantasy.

That wouldn’t be so bad if their delusions weren’t about to crush the U.S. economy.

Analysts are calling this new green economy bill in the U.S. Senate a “job killer” that would push energy bills through the roof and would drive jobs and businesses overseas at a record pace.

So is there any evidence that those things would actually happen?

Well, yes there is.

*A leaked internal assessment produced by Spain’s Zapatero administration reveals that Spain’s “green economy” has been an absolute economic nightmare for that nation.  Energy rates in Spain have “skyrocketed” and the new green economy there has lost more than two jobs for every job that it has created.  All of this has pushed Spain to the brink of economic disaster.  In fact, economists all over the world say that Spain is now one of the nations most likely to experience a Greek-style financial collapse.

*According to a new study by the California Legislative Analyst’s Office, a state law that requires power plants, factories and other businesses to cut greenhouse gas emissions could cause energy prices to rise and prompt businesses to delay expansion or flee California.

Not that this should be shocking for anyone.

The whole idea behind a green economy is to punish the use of oil, so of course power rates are going to rise.

In addition, you would have to be a moron to think that businesses are just going to sit somewhere and endure incredibly oppressive “green” regulations when they can just pick up and move to more economically feasible pastures.

But Barack Obama, John Kerry and Joe Lieberman continue to insist that this new green economy is going to bring new life to the U.S. economic system.

It is as if they are so blinded by their agenda that they can’t even see clearly anymore.

The reality is that our leaders in Washington D.C. are so incompetent at this point that the best thing for all of us would be for them to just sit there and do absolutely nothing.  At least that way they wouldn’t be messing even more things up.

What a nightmare.  Even if this new green economy bill is somehow defeated, the EPA has said that they are going to implement these measures through government regulations anyway.

So it looks like we are going into the new green economy whether we like it or not.

What a great system we have, eh?

Genocide has begun. Killing the American Dream is inevitable but killing Americans also appears to be inevitable and is even more troubling. We are living in the days foretold in Revelation and the wicked psychos who want to exterminate the masses now have the money, the power, the technology and the desire to bring about their diabolical plans. The “Green Economy” and the other environmentalist nonsense is not about the environment, it is about significantly reducing human population. It appears to me that there is no hope of stopping the plans of the wicked – which just so happen to line up exactly with what God said would happen in the last days – but there is a way to prevent spending eternity in hell. If you have not gotten your life right with God it is time to do so. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life and no man cometh to the Father but by him.

      Well said Greg.

When the EPA made the diabolical ruling that CO2 was a harmful pollutant they put in place the justification to limit your lifespan. It seems that the outcome of the “Green Economy” may actually be Soylent Green. Now that they are eliminating life in the Gulf with the “accidental” oil release and the use of highly toxic dispersants that will kill more marine life than the oil, Soylent Green may seem desirable in the near future!

Whether or not anyone believes that carbon dioxide really causes greenhouse gases is really up for debate; you can believe either side, the truth of the matter is, unless you become a scientist yourself and can truthfully identify this for yourself, for every expert that says it causes harm, there’s another one that says it don’t. Agendas are everywhere, and that’s what lobbying is about. One can argue that environmentalist are sneaking up with their plans about green economy, those against it do the EXACT SAME: just look at all the lobbying big oil companies do to fight those same issues, Bush used to be on their side, well now Obama has switched side, and that is it.

You mention how Spain is now in the hole, similar to Greece, but it has nothing to do with the green economy! You’re just plugging it in there to make a point! The truth is that the euro ultimately hurt Spain as it was being elevated to Germany’s standard (the richest country in the Euro zone), as well as a huge housing bubble (doesn’t that sound familiar?). In this one article dating back from 2007 (!) they describe really well what is wrong with Spain, as well as this other one about the housing bubble (they are really worth a look):

    http://www.globalpropertyguide.com/Europe/Spain/Price-History

What you describe above as after-effects of the green economy would happen if it was sudden, overbearing and roughly implemented. Surely ANY kind of “stuffing down the throat” of any type of economy cannot cut it. BUT, America cannot, and should not be spitting on ANY type of economic development at this point. It just desperately need a new type of expertise to employ all these jobless people. We’re talking about facilities building alternative energy (wind and solar power), recycling and composting centers for municipalities, research and development hiring technicians and so on. These are not low-end service jobs; these are high level and high paying jobs. It’s not about destroying all polluting plants in the US and replacing them with something more costly, it’s just about creating jobs in the private sector!

To be honest, if America was that well off, they probably would disregard that kind of economy as it did before. But with the state of things as they are, they can’t just sit idle. Surely, nothing is perfect, and the green economy is no exception. The US needs a new expertise, and just like the green economy created about 900,000 jobs in the UK alone, this could really help put people into jobs again.

    Political corruption and climate change

Is anything sacred to these jerks?

    By Jack E. Lohman

I can’t believe that I have no strong opinion about climate change.

It’s not that I don’t want one, because I do.

It seems that at least “some” climate change is going on, but I can’t trust my politicians to give me an honest answer.

Did we cause it? Is it harmful? Can we change it? Should we change it? What are the effects on my grandchildren if we do nothing? Or if we do something???

I’d like an honest answer, Dammit, and I can’t get one.

Half of our politicians are being paid by the bad-guy industries to accept studies performed by scientists that also are paid by industry to keep the monkey off their back. The other half is being paid by the bribers on the other side of the issue, who are poised to reap billions when congress lays out its demand for new Green technologies, whether needed or not.

Another group owns stock in one industry or the other, and this whole politician thingy, well, it’s just temporary for them anyway.

Of course I would prefer that my politicians were not taking cash bribes from industry, and they instead ran the country in the best interest of the public. That’s what they should be doing.

But they aren’t. We have a political system driven by special interest bribes that controls our nation to the detriment of its taxpayers. We have congress members poised to share in a piece of the action if the vote goes their way, and in some cases they win no matter which way it goes.

Surely new jobs may be created by new green technologies, but so will other make-work efforts by differently-corrupted politicians. But will those new jobs be in the US or in China and India? And if we force Cap & Trade unnecessarily, how many jobs will leave our country nonetheless?

Like all matters important to society, congress must recuse itself and turn this over to an unbiased panel of independent scientists, paid for by the taxpayers and working for the taxpayers. (And wow, if we can’t trust politicians on climate change, health care, Afghanistan, and “all matters important to society,” just where can we trust them?)

That’s an issue we must address in 2010.

In the meantime I see from http://www.GlobalResearch.ca

“Much of the people in the world have been riled up with predictions of a catastrophic end to mankind and the world unless we don’t do something about so-called “man-made” climate change. Ironically enough, our refusal to adapt to a changing world, and instead a determination to fight it with our efforts to “go green” and “carbon neutral” may, in fact, cause the catastrophic end of our civilization. And sadly, in this instance, it would undeniably be a man-made disaster.”

And here’s Al Gore exposed by congress

Why can’t my congress… my country’s esteemed board of directors… hire an unbiased, non-conflicted, non-partisan team of scientists to get to the bottom of it? Do they not understand the concept of uncorrupted analysis?

    Tidbits

    – See “What’s The Worst That Could Happen: A rational response to the climate change debate” by Greg Craven (gregcraven.org) — Excellent youtube videos, or buy his DVD. He doesn’t push his point of view — he pushes the idea that we ought to think carefully about the risks that we are wrong, no matter what we believe about the science.

    – The argument is “the costs of ignoring something that is direly needed, versus doing something that is not needed.” Overkill.

    – Of course nothing is as simple as a yes or no; I still wish I could trust our politicians to shed the special interest money on both sides of the issue and find a non-biased answer.

    – What would happen if our astute special interests started pumping something into the air to counter the CO2, only to find out that they went too far or shouldn’t have done it in the first place?
