Why America Should Be On High Alert For A Major Earthquake Along The New Madrid Fault

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

New Madrid Fault Earthquake ZoneDid you know that a magnitude 3.5 earthquake hit the New Madrid fault about a week ago? According to Fox News, the New Madrid fault line is approximately twenty times larger than the San Andreas fault in California, and it is starting to wake up.  Most people don’t realize this, but this fault zone has produced some of the largest earthquakes in U.S. history.  In 1811 and 1812, immensely powerful earthquakes along the New Madrid fault rang church bells in Boston and permanently changed the course of the Mississippi River.  If we had similar earthquakes today, the devastation would be unimaginable.  Unfortunately for us, earthquake activity in the middle part of the country is becoming much more common.  The USGS says that the number of significant earthquakes in the middle part of the country has more than quintupled in recent years, and the USGS has publicly admitted that the New Madrid fault zone has the “potential for larger and more powerful quakes than previously thought“.  Very few Americans are talking about this right now, but as you will see below, the threat is very, very real.

According to international insurance giant Swiss Re, if the 1811 and 1812 New Madrid earthquakes were to repeat today, the losses would be in the hundreds of billions of dollars

A series of big shakes — of the sort last seen in 1811 and 1812 — would cause about $300 billion in damage, Swiss Re says. The cost would be double the damage from Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans in 2005.

Houses — especially brick ones — would collapse. Buildings would sink sideways into liquefying earth. Bridges might tumble into the rivers. The route of the Mississippi River could change — as it did in the last big quake.

People would die, perhaps by the thousands. Being mainly a property reinsurer, Swiss Re didn’t estimate the human toll.

Could you imagine what that would do to our nation?

The financial markets would collapse, the federal government would simply be unable to aid everyone that was suffering, and transportation on and across the Mississippi River would be brought to a standstill.

And this is a threat that government officials take quite seriously.  In fact, the U.S. Northern Command was just involved in a large scale exercise that simulated a major earthquake along the New Madrid fault

The Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) along with representatives from other state agencies, National Guard Bureau, U.S. Northern Command, and the Polish Armed Forces participated in the exercise, providing incident management and emergency management teams, agency technical experts and military personnel to support the military’s training scenario.

“We gained a tremendous amount of insight by having IEMA, other civilian agencies, National Guard Bureau, U.S. NORTHCOM and Poland participate in this event,” said Col. Rick G. Yoder, commander of the joint task force. “It’s critical to strengthen partnerships with local, state, and federal partners before a disaster happens.”

The exercise simulated a 7.2 magnitude earthquake centered on the New Madrid Seismic Zone. The event took place at the 183rd Fighter Wing and the Joint Forces Headquarters in Springfield, Illinois.

So is there a reason why we should be particularly concerned about the potential for a New Madrid earthquake right now?

Yes, I believe that there is.

On September 15th, the 70th session of the UN General Assembly begins.  The U.S. media is not saying much about this, but it is being widely reported in the international media that France plans to introduce a resolution which will give formal UN Security Council recognition to a Palestinian state shortly after the new session starts.  For much more on these developments, please see this article.  For years, the U.S. government has been the one standing in the way of such a resolution, but now Barack Obama is indicating that he may not stand in the way this time around.  The following comes from the Los Angeles Times

President Obama took a step toward a tougher line with Israel in an interview released Tuesday, raising the possibility that the U.S. will allow a United Nations vote on issues related to the Palestinians if the two sides make no meaningful movement toward peace.

In an interview with an Israeli television station, Obama noted that his administration has “up until this point” quashed such efforts at the U.N. while insisting that the Israelis and Palestinians must negotiate a resolution. But he said it is a challenge for the U.S. to keep demanding that the Palestinians negotiate in good faith if no one believes the Israelis are doing the same.

“How do we move off what appears right now to be a hopeless situation and move it back towards a hopeful situation?” Obama asked in the interview. “That will require more than just words. That will require some actions. And that’s going to be hard work, though, because right now I think there’s not a lot of confidence in the process.”

In essence, the decision to divide the land of Israel into two pieces lies in Obama’s hands.

If Barack Obama gives the go ahead, there will be a UN Security Council resolution establishing a Palestinian state.

And once that happens, all hell could break loose.  For many years, people all over the world have been connecting the division of the land of Israel with the coming New Madrid earthquake.  For example, just consider what Shane Warren shared during an interview with Sid Roth…

Could we be right on the verge of seeing this take place?

Without a doubt, America is ripe for judgment.  We have shaken our fists at God as we continue to plunge even more deeply into wickedness.  I believe that one of the reasons why the Planned Parenthood videos have come out right at this time is to show us just how evil we have become.  But instead of repenting and shutting Planned Parenthood down, our officials are actually attacking the organization that put out the videos.

I could go on and on, but I think that you get the point.  Our nation has fallen, and we desperately need to turn from our wicked ways.

Instead of just talking about these things, my friends and I want to be part of the solution.  So Benjamin Baruch, Nathan Leal, Lyn Leahz and I are organizing a nationwide call to prayer and repentance on the weekend of September 18th through September 20th.  The main event is going to be held in Sandpoint, Idaho and others are going to be organizing similar events in their own cities.  You can find details about the Sandpoint event right here.  If you cannot attend an event in person, the Sandpoint conference is going to be livestreamed on the Internet on Lyn Leahz’s 65,000 subscriber YouTube channel.  You can listen to a recent interview where I discussed this upcoming event right here.

Don’t just sit there and curse the darkness.

Be part of the solution.  Join us in prayer during this very important weekend.

Yes, a great shaking is coming to America, but out of this shaking could come a great revival.

And without a doubt, America desperately needs one.

An earthquake, to me is one of those things, you can do little about. Yes being at the far east side of TN, should lessen the impact.. Also I have the same supplies, as for any other emergency.Mostly for me. This is a leave it with the Lord situation.

Our nation is defying God. Christians should have immediately refused to obey the Supreme Court’s ruling of gay marriage and we should have demanded an end to taxpayers paying for abortion. This country is guilty of sexual immorality and murder. We should stop pretending that God won’t judge this nation. The pulpits should have erupted but so far none have but then again 400 preachers were members of Ashley Madison and 87,000 women joined it this past week. Churches are full hypocrites.

    • iris

You’re right, our nation is defying God in many areas, but our pastor has spoken clearly and carefully about Biblical marriage, abortion and Islamic terrorism, and in a humble, loving way. There are still good churches out there, and our congregation is one of them, imo. We have folks with purple hair and nose rings, old people, families, multi racial, rich and poor, farmers and doctors. I am very concerned about the 501c3 churches though, as the state can swoop in and shut them down if they don’t toe the line or speak Biblical truths which aren’t politically correct.

      • Gay Veteran

“… I am very concerned about the 501c3 churches though, as the state can swoop in and shut them down if they don’t toe the line or speak Biblical truths which aren’t politically correct.”

    • uio

On radio they said it’s easy to sign anybody up for that adultery site. Anyone could sign preacher up and they wouldn’t even know it!!!

so the number would likely be less than 400

    • Justin

You people just can’t grasp the idea of separation of church & state. The Supreme Court had no choice but to rule on gay marriage as soon as a single state voted it legal. The IRS must have a decision for citizens residing in states where it was legal, for a litany of reasons. America is not a Christian theocracy, it is a Constitutional Republic, where all views need to be represented within the framework of the Constitution. The State & Federal governments should have never issued marriage licenses to start, but that is another conversation. People of all faith get married in the eyes of their ‘creator’, many of these faiths accept polygamy, some accept same sex…yet until recently our government did not recognize these faiths right to practice their faith through marriage, while accepting the Christian view. This is clearly unamerican and counter intuitive to the theme so carefully crafted by our Founding fathers. Practice your faith, teach your children to love God and others & let’s let God do the judging….

      • Kent Harris

Have you even read the Constitution? No where does it say anything in regards to the Separation of Church and State. Go look it up. I know most liberals just have a hard time with reading but surprise me and show me that you guys are actually intelligent.

        • Justin

Funny you would view my statement as liberal in lieu of libertarian, rather Mao of you…I have read the constitution, not one mention of God. Spouting off a question of semantics offered by Christine O’Donnell as a piss poor challenge to the intent of the 1st ammendment, makes you seem less educated than your post would lead me to believe.

          • Kent Harris

Is gay marriage mentioned? Nope. Not in there. The Supreme Court does not have the authority to create a law. What the Supreme Court did was create a law for which only the Legislative Branch can do. I know you guys love to legislate from the bench but that is how this country is being destroyed by these activists judges.

          • Justin

What law did they create? They made a ‘ruling’ on the interpretation of current law, that is far from creating “new law”.

Lol. You have your set of morals and we have ours. Both built on the things we have experienced and submersed ourselves in throughout life. You want or i say the gay agenda wants to shove your agenda down our throats and us to sit back and just shut up. Nope. Not a gona happen. We can stand up for our beliefs too. I was nearly raped by a gay man when i was in the airforce. I was drunk and he thought i was an easy target. He found himself unconscious on my dorm r

            gay agenda = equal rights

and how many women have been raped by heterosexuals in the military?

          • Gay Veteran

The Supreme Court DOES have the authority to make sure we have the equal protection of the laws.

          • Justin

“Can you describe the Stone figures above the Large doors leading into the Federal Supreme Court building? or for that mater what is carved into the massive doors?” These are your words, my response was to offer you a question. I will ask again so you can sidestep once more; “What do ‘you imagine’ the architecture of 1935, at the height of American Christian govermental influance, has to do with homosexual marriage or the interpretation of the 1st ammendment?” I do not think you are stupid, I think you are religous zealot who lacks proper historical context & effective communication skills.

          • Awake

So how are you going to deal with Shariah Law in the the Quran / THE HIJRAH Are you going to embrace Islam, pay extortion money to live or get your head cut off?

            Surah 47:4 =extortion or DEATH / Surah 61:10 / Surah 3:157 / Surah 2:216-217 / Surah 5:35 Surah 8:39 ( Keep fighting until Islam is the only religion) / Surah 8:57
            Surah 9:29 / Surah 48:16 / Surah12:9-14 / Surah 47:35 / Surah 48:29
Commanding all Muslims to murder everyone that does not join the fight to kill all others that do not follow Islam. That this is the only way that Alla will grant you salvation.
are you going to deal with:

          • Justin

We are on the Topic of; ‘1935 archetecture and its relevance to the SOCTUS ruling on gay marriage circa 2015.’ I will pose the question again; What do ‘you imagine’ the architecture of 1935, at the hight of American Christian govermental influance, has to do with homosexual marriage or the interpretation of the 1st ammendment?”
Islam is a Dīn, I will handle it with the 2nd ammendment.

          • David Coker

Excellent point that will be ignored by the beast!

        • Gay Veteran

is your religion so weak that you need the support of the State?

          • Kent Harris

Pedophilia, bestiality, polygamy or other types of sexual deviants that have no place in our society. Our country is dying right before our eyes. We will die in our inequity and the fool who says I will never face judgment is a liar and he knows it in his heart.

          • Gay Veteran

man I bet you got all excited writing that.
Hmmmmm, now pedophilia and bestiality really don’t fit with polygamy, now do they?
remember all that polygamy in the bible?

          • guest

I remember all the homoqueer destruction wrought in sodom.
If your perversion doesn’t kill you first then you will get to live it.

          • Gay Veteran

            awwww, poor pathetic troll

          • Justin

You fail to understand your faith, let alone your Government…I will pray for you

          • Kent Harris

Don’t waste your time. You are wrong and you know it. Our Founding Fathers would have taken up arms against you people. The Supreme Court had no jurisdiction in the case of marriage. They wrote a law that they know full well was against the states to choose for themselves. I would say that the states should tell the Supreme Court to shove it we will not obey your ridiculous law.

          • Justin

You are wrong & delusional. What law did the Supreme Court “write” with the ruling on gay marriage, enlighten me…not once have you addressed my statements with anything but a deflection. This is the 2nd time I have asked for reference or proof of your bold claim, that the Supreme Court; “wrote new law”.

          • Kent Harris

The states wrote the law and it went before the people and they voted for it. That is very clear and it was judges that stripped the states of their right to determine marriage. So, these black robes stripped the states the right of self-determination and they stripped the states of their 10th Amendment.

          • Justin

No, the black robes determined that gay marriage is constitutionally protected under the 1st ammendment. The Constitutional role of the federal government is to ensure states apply the Constitution equally to all citizens in each state. As such, the laws as written in some states are unconstitutional, the government is within its right to force change. This is the difference between a Theocracy and a Constitutional Republic.
Why are you not in KY protesting the blantonly illegal incarceration of Kim Davis, this is a real concern for America

          • Kent Harris

The Supreme Court overstepped their boundaries. The Constitution was designed to prevent the Federal Government from intruding into the private affairs of the states and its citizenry. They violated the 1st and 10th Amendment. Everyday the Federal Government continues to deny the rights of the states. Sovereignty rests with the states as the Founding Fathers wanted and they wanted a limited government. We have a Federal Government that refuses to abide by it. The day will arise when the states and their citizenry will revolt against these evil powers. I for one will side with my state of Georgia against this evil Union.

          • Gay Veteran

keep on ignoring that 14th amendment

          • Gay Veteran

I’m sure a lot of people would have voted for bans on interracial marriage too.
love how you ignore the 14th amendment

          • William O’Neal Shaver

Enjoy the talk bout supreme courts going rogue if you guys gals wanna, fact is it never shouldnhave been a supreme issue. It is a states rights issue. The fedral governments job is to keep us as a countrr

          • Gay Veteran

yeah! just like laws banning interracial marriage was a states rights issue

          • Gay Veteran

yeah! like they shouldn’t over overturned all those laws banning interracial marriages

          • Justin

I have no doubt the Pope will be ousted soon…

          • shots = autism

The Bible supports polygamy. David had hundreds of wives & he was a man after God’s own heart.
You just contradicted your own religion.

          • Kent Harris

God does not support polygamy. The original plan as it was in Garden of Eden was that their be one man and one woman. Even Jesus Christ reminded us that the man will leave his parents and be united with his wife and the two will become one flesh. The Bible acknowledges that man has hardened our hearts toward God and His will. David loved God and that he realized he was a sinner. God honors the brokenhearted. David committed many sins but he also humbled himself before His maker.

          • shots = autism

God does support polygamy. He told Abraham to take the servant Hagar
and bring forth the child through her. Because of what God told him to do Abraham had 2 wives.

          • Peggas

God did not tell Abraham to take Hagar. That was Sarah’s idea. She thought she was to old to have children, couldn’t trust God with what he told her. See what happens when you don’t wait on God???

          • shots = autism

and god told her to go ahead and do it so he had to obey god

          • Gay Veteran

BS, just ignore all the polygamy in the bible
if god opposed it then why didn’t he smite them, hmmmmmmmmmmmm

          • Justin

So the entire axiom of God, worthy of debate or constitutional representation, in your view, is based on your personal interpretation of the Abrahamic God/Father? You would make for a superb kaliph….

I agree with your comment. Thats why I believe Mike Huckabee is the best choice in this presidential election, because he stood up a few days ago for religious freedom and stood with Kim Davis after she was jailed for not issuing gay marriage liscenses. Mike Huckabee will stand for what is right. I feel that Huckabee will do a better job than Trump if given the chance. Also, there was a good ministry on today that spoke out about the madrid earthquake and other things going on in our land. It was great. It comes back on tonight on Directv channel 377 at 11 ct.

You’re a Christ hater if you hate anyone enough to call them a dog, because God made them in His image, just like He made you. And don’t forget, your sins caused Jesus’ heart to have the same pity for you, to the point of becoming a human and dying for you, as much as for every other person on the planet, past, present and future. I wonder if you really know Jesus. You sure are missing the point.

        • M.

Bayed wasn’t the right word to use, if I could edit it I would. I like dogs and I didn’t mean to deny that those who screamed for His blood were human beings albeit evil human beings. There is however a certain book which says that Goyim are only cattle, and there are many, such as Rabbi Ovadia Yosef who hold, or in his case held this doctrine. I do not hate them. I hope they are converted. One can recognize others as being enemies and resist them as the situation requires without committing sin.
As for the question of who constitutes God’s people now, it is the Catholic church founded by Christ Himself. When the Jews rejected and crucified Christ they thereby became the slaves of the devil. Perhaps this is the replacement theology you wrote of? It is the orthodox doctrine concerning this question. Read I Thessalonians 2:14-16.
Those Jews who are converted of course become Christ’s like anyone else who is converted. Indeed the certain book mentioned above was brought into the light of day by a good and pious Jewish convert, Josef Pfefferkorn. Men like him are the proper examples for Jews to follow, not Netanyahu or Rabbi Yosef. As for Saudi Arabia, they are Israel’s friends. That’s why so many Mohammedans hate them second to Israel itself. I don’t want to see Israelis slaughtered, but I don’t think they should have possession of the Holy Land.
Let them all emigrate to the United States, American protestants love them, it would be a good solution to the problem. If the remnant of the faithful were large enough a new Christian state like that of the Crusaders could be set up in the Holy Land. That would be pleasing to Our Lord that the places hallowed by His Life, Death and Resurrection would be in the hands of His servants.

          • Gay Veteran

            you are delusional

      • iris

Did you know that Saudi Arabia has far, far more money, lobbying power, etc., invested in this country than any Israeli interests do? S. Arabia basically owns the Bushes, the Clintons, and O bowed before the Saudi king, that wasn’t for no reason. They even own a great deal of our land, along with China, of course. Could that just remotely possibly have to do with why the UN and now, many in our country and Europe are anti-Jewish/anti-Israel, all of a sudden? The Muslim countries surrounding Israel want the total annihilation of Israel and all Jews, and they also produce a lot of the world’s oil. We produce more, but don’t use as much of it as we buy from them, because, well, they have us over a barrel, pun intended. And Replacement Theology was a Greek concept which re-interpreted Scripture around 200 A.D., so I don’t buy that one as a good reason to hate Israel and blame them for the world’s problems, either.

There’s not going to be a revival on this earth… only in the next cosmic cycle. You should tell your readers the truth, that’s what you’re trying to do ? isn’t it ?

    • Roo

Well, I hate to bust your ‘cosmic’ bubble, but there have been ‘great awakenings” in history where the Lord poured out His Holy Spirit and great revivals took place – it started in the Book of Acts, the world was changed – 3,000 people saved in a day! Then there was the Reformation and the movement that began with Martin Luther – we are saved by grace, not of works. And then as recently as 1948/49 (Oral Roberts, Billy Graham and many others) and then 1967/68 (the Jesus movement) – and these all took place during Israel’s rebirth and claiming Jerusalem.

      (Joel 2:28-32, Isaiah 60:1-5, Zechariah 12:10-13:1 etc.)
So the Christians WILL NOT give up hope of seeing this great move of God and the “greater works” promised to us by God. – John 14:12

They will surely come. But it will be late. As the master of ceremonies at the wedding feast at Cana remarked to the bridegroom, “You have saved the best wine until last!”.

      • iris

        thanks!

      • Pascal

Hahaha… thankyou for letting me see your brainwash. You will come to know that old-wise men from about 6000 years ago told that first Gods and later a God ruled everything… but in their eyes God was nothing more than the cycles of the universe wich we and everything else obey… because we’re part of it. In their eyes everything was going perfectly and when they saw that people maked God something magical they knew this was also part of the perfection. So they used this to guide us with a hope pill and let us search for the truth until the bitter end. They saw it was necessary that we would grow to a human plaqeu on earth and to finally find the core of energy again (nucleair energy) so we would destroy the life on earth in an everything destroying war. It was/is necessary because in this cosmic cycle the earth needs the energy we make so she can keep turning her rounds around the sun for as long as possible… and this way the earth stays vital enough to get get through the last and biggest ice age in history. The earth but really everything in the expanding part of the universe is re-cycling of matter for as long as possible for and so the new life in the blackhole can grow and will be born perfectly again for the next cosmic cycle. It was al told to us be we didn’t understand what they were saying. The play that Jezus did was nothing more then to show us that the end of life on earth was near and that we would destroy ourselfs…That’s why he left us the cross of death and he let himself be nailed to it. It is for God (the kosmos) and so that everything including us would be born again in the next perfect cycle.
This old-wise were true searchers and watchers and they found in nature that every cycle is equal because they are all born out of each other and only the biggest and the smallest cycle have found their way to eternity.
So we are true servants in ”seeing blindness and hearing deafness” for the perfection and therefore… thankyou for being.

I think it is too late coming.
Christians everywhere needed to condemn the immoral activities of the leadership in the Congress many many years ago.
    It didn’t happen.
I suggest it is more likely we will see a huge sink hole that will take out Washington D.C. in a heart beat rather than a general earthquake. Like the entire D.C. will sink about 400 feet underground. Burying all the evil in one single motion.
God is not punishing these people.
What punishment that is coming is random rather than pointed at any one individual or group.
That is blind punishment. It effects the innocent as well as the guilty.
We are so far below the intelligence of God that it is possible we do not see the overall picture that this God has for everyone.
We are disposable. We are mortal. That means we have a short time on this planet and that it does not end well for anyone, no matter who they are or what they are.
We all have to die sometime. Of something. And that includes billionaires and poverty stricken populations.
No one except Christ and Lazarus has ever gotten around death. And even Christ and Lazarus died once.
My impression of Christ is that he left after he came back alive.
Lazarus died twice. Once before and once afterwards. A lot of people wondered if he would live forever once Jesus brought him back.
Even Jesus Christ’s followers all died one way or another as far as we know.
That after death they then were given immortal life somewhere else is something we are told and have to take on faith.
Will Jesus come back in our lifetimes? No one knows but God the time and the place of his return or how it will be accomplished.
Our science is much better now than then. Or is it?
Three “Wisemen” followed a mysterious star to the birth of Jesus.
Those same wise men were looking at a significant event in the sky of an object. Reality check is that no one knows what the Star of Bethlehem was. Will it return?
No one I know even knows who the “wise men” were.
The new Madrid Fault Zone? We have huge rivers under Ohio. Most are about 400-1000 feet beneath the ground. Ohio has limestone all over the place below the surface. We get most of our pure water from those rivers. It has a hardness of about 18-20.
It coats everything we wash with it.
I do not know anyone that has explored that river artery. But it has to be huge. So we are possibly looking at very large caverns far underneath the surface. They could easily collapse.
    Changing the Mississippi? Very possible.

Yes it’s a good idea but do NOT wait till then to pray ! Pray everyday , several times a day, And if you are a true believer ….. always end your prayers “in Jesus name ” . Jesus tells us in the Bible no one comes to the Father except thru Him. So if you want God to hear your prayers always end it this way.

    • iris

in Jesus’ name, means in His cause of loving redemption, for His purposes and glory, according to His will and way and doing. When we ask this way, God, the faithful and holy One, will answer with a yes. It may not look the way we want it to or expect it to, but we’re walking by faith, not by our limited understanding and emotion.

  • iris

Well said! I’m in complete agreement, and we’re seeing this in Great Britain now, also. Christians who take Jesus’ directive seriously, to share the gospel (which involves acknowledgement of mankind’s sin problem and its awaiting judgement by a holy and just god, apart from faith and reception of life and forgiveness in Christ), may soon not be allowed the freedom of religion afforded to all others. Things are opposite now. Rather than viewed as trying to warn people to leave a burning building, we are being accused of hate and self righteousness.

Agreed! “…what is scary is that woman in KY was jailed, despite efforts at reasonable comprise [sic; compromise]….”
you do know she ordered her deputy clerks not to issue CIVIL marriage licenses, thereby imposing HER religious beliefs on the deputy clerks

    • Justin

KY Law defines marrige as man:woman, for her to do otherwise would put her staff in conflict of KY law, a serious dereliction of duty & clearly not an imposition of faith.
Atm this is still a State:Federal issue to be ironed out in the courts, KY state law defines marrige as; Man:Woman. When KY changes that and she orders her clerks to not issue you can call it “imposing faith”. As it stands, she was jailed for upholding KY state law over a Supreme court ruling, that is stunning. I support the ruling for a secular nation, I do not support jailing people for adherence to state law as required by her elected office. Jailing her was the worst thing possible for the LGBT movement, now millions as motivated to undermine decades of work. Not sure why you would support this as veteran, gay or not….

      • Gay Veteran

an UNconstitutional law still on the books is invalid. KY law used to ban interracial marriage. When the Supreme Court overruled that, we didn’t allow country clerks to refuse CIVIL marriage licenses to interracial couples

“..she played the LGBT community like a fiddle, she is now a modern christain martyr….”

you need to find better martyrs, because people are disgusted with her after finding out she has been married FOUR times

“…As it stands, she was jailed for upholding KY state law over a Supreme court ruling, that is stunning….”

AGAIN, an UNconstitutional law still on the books is invalid.

        • Justin

I did not claim she was a martyr to me, I chose my words deliberately, please don’t paraphrase. Your narrative of “people are disgusted” with her, is baseless and without merit. I would highly suggest a detailed google search of Christian Forums as a metric of her ‘maryterdom’.
The courts rulings are not final, they can & will be challenged state by state, and likely in the future with a diff Supreme court, Christian by Christian. This is a good process, both for the LGBT community & Christian Americans. What is bad is to provide maryters on ether side, perceived or real. I stand with you on a legal basis, sadly this action will lead turn back the clock for the LGBT in a huge way. Mark my words, in 10 years it will be the 70s all over again for LGBT in America due to this one action. The more the LGBT pushes the narrative of her not being a worthy christian or not a maryer only strengthens zealots belief she is a maryter…do you honestly not understand what has happened?

          • Gay Veteran

the people who support her just as easily will support someone else because they are sheep ready to be sheared by the likes of Huckabe.

          • Justin

How are you feeling now about Christians perspective of Kim Davis as a martyr? Do you still believe the LGBT community will define what is or is not a christian maryter? She has been awarded by most Christian groups, has the support of a majority of presidential candidates, many are emulating her actions nationwide emboldened by her perceived strength of faith. I don’t see these people jumping ship in support of someone else as you claimed. Christians define & find strength in faith through percecution, and the Judicial/LGBT brilliant plan was to punish her and/or make an example. I can not accept you are unable to understand what this has done for gay vets like yourself…

          • Gay Veteran

have you noticed the story has disappeared and that she is NOT preventing the deputy clerks from doing their JOBS

          • Justin

Disappeared? She has removed her name from forms, invalidating clerks issuing marriage licenses. Do try and stay current with your responses…

          • Gay Veteran

            smug attitude you got there.

Kentucky’s attorney general says the marriage licenses are legal.

          • Justin

Smug? Well, maybe a little…The KY attorney general has no power to overturn state legislation, nor does SOCTUS ‘rulings’. The ruling protected same-sex marrige under the 1st, voiding federal DOMA, it does not void any state law defined as man:woman, as stated by the SOCTUS ruling itself. It will be challenged on the same semantical grounds as marrige vs unions, state by state. This whole process would have been much faster and w/o much struggle had Mrs Davis not been persecuted publicly. I have spent decades supporting & arguing a pro same-sex marriage position, within the secular framework WE swore an oath too. The only hope to stop a return of acceptable public 70s style weekend gay bashing is to accept the mistake publicly, the LGBT community & Judicial branch, needs to demand Kim Davis be allowed to follow the legislation of the state and her office until the process is completed & new legislation written & passed at the federal level.

          • Gay Veteran

“…The KY attorney general has no power to overturn state legislation, nor does SOCTUS ‘rulings’….”

hmmmm, guess you don’t know about all those state laws that have been overturned by the Supreme Court, for example all those miscegenation laws.

“..The ruling protected same-sex marrige under the 1st….”

ruling based primarily on the 14th Amendement

            “…I have spent decades supporting & arguing a pro same-sex marriage position….”

sorry darling, but Gays (like Blacks before them) weren’t willing to wait yet more decades to persuade states like Alabama

          • Justin

I was hoping you would rebuttal on the 14th vs 1st. As marrige is an institution of religion by every historical measure outside of LGBT opinion, marrige as defined by federal or state powers is, in & of itself (DOMA & KY law) a violation of the 1st ammendment by the Judicial, State & Federal powers. An intellectually honest SOCTUS would have ruled in favor of gay marrige based on the 1st, not the 14th. As I stated before there is a proper process for the secular constitutional republic to rectify this. That said, miscegenation was racism expressed through religious percecution and not an honest anolog of gay marrige.

          • Gay Veteran

I was hoping you would rebuttal on the 14th vs 1st. a CIVIL marriage license does not violate anyone’s First Amendment rights.

and when has any Supreme Court overruled a previous Supreme Court case that expanded civil rights?

      • Gay Veteran

UNconstitutional laws are invalid, even if they are still on the books:
“…In 1967, the United States Supreme Court unanimously ruled in Loving v. Virginia that anti-miscegenation laws are unconstitutional. With this ruling, these laws were no longer in effect in the remaining 16 states that at the time still enforced them. However, the active repeal of the laws was not complete until Alabama did so in 2000 after failing to do so in several earlier plebiscites on the matter….”

        • Justin

As I previously stated, this is a State:Federal issue still to be resolved in courts. Unlike miscegenation, ‘marrige’ is a religious institution, one the state should have not continued post-revolution. As such, this fight will not end, it will only escalate from here. Did you live an openly gay life in the 60s,70s & 80s? Do you remember what is was like then? The current Jailing of Kim Davis, the penalty applied to pastors, threats to churches on tax exempt status etc are pushing Americans back to the church & strengthening the radical base. We are but a few years away from socially acceptable gay bashing again, perhaps Rod Stuart will sing about it again…my point is not to argue pro:anti ruling, I have already stated I agree with the ruling. Jailing ANYONE for religious beliefs, perceived or legitimate, will only lead to massive pushback & radicalization of the religious base. Playing with any religion is playing with fire…

          • Gay Veteran

“…The current Jailing of Kim Davis, the penalty applied to pastors, threats to churches on tax exempt status etc are pushing Americans back to the church & strengthening the radical base….”

$300 billion is 1.6% of our GDP. There are 4% fewer workers (as a percent of population) compared to 2008 who could be employed to fix it instead of being various government give-aways. It would be a great stimulus for the middle class. The government would have to print only 1/40 of the QE plus debt they’ve printed in the past 5 years to undo the damage. And the money would go to the middle class and new infrastructure instead of placing taking toxic assets off the bank balance sheets and putting them on the taxpayer’s shoulders.
