Something Else Coming In September: A UN Resolution Establishing A Palestinian State

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

Clock - Public DomainThere has been a lot of talk about things that are going to happen in September, but something that has been almost totally overlooked is the fact that the UN Security Council is likely to be voting on a UN resolution which will establish a Palestinian state at that time.  Right now, France is working on a proposed resolution which would give formal UN Security Council recognition to the Palestinians, would declare that a divided Jerusalem is the capital of both Israel and a Palestinian state, and would set the 1967 borders as the baseline for future negotiations which would establish the final borders between the two nations.  It is being reported that France will submit this resolution for a vote after the 70th session of the UN General Assembly begins on the 15th of September.  At this moment, 136 nations have already recognized a Palestinian state, but the United States has always blocked recognition by the UN Security Council.  This time may be different though, because there are quite a few indications that Barack Obama actually plans to back the French resolution in September.  If that happens, and the UN Security Council approves this resolution, it is going to have enormous implications for all of us.

Not a lot of people understand that this is happening, so let’s take this step by step.

Back in March, the Wall Street Journal and other news sources reported that the French were working on a new Security Council resolution which will establish the parameters for a Palestinian state…

France will begin discussions in the coming weeks on a U.N. Security Council resolution that would set out the steps for a negotiated end of Israel’s occupation of Palestinian land and a solution to the nearly 70-year-old Israeli-Palestinian conflict, France’s Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said on Friday.

According to the Times of Israel, this resolution will use the 1967 borders as the baseline for future border negotiations, and it sets Jerusalem as the capital city for both states…

France sees a window of opportunity after Israel’s elections to get the United States on board with a new push for Mideast peace, and is preparing a draft UN Security Council resolution in about 12 days, according to French diplomatic officials.

The draft would define the pre-1967 frontier as a reference point for border talks but allow room for exchanges of territory, designate Jerusalem as capital of both Israel and a Palestinian state and call for a fair solution for Palestinian refugees, one official told The Associated Press on Tuesday.

And according to WND, the proposed French resolution draws heavily from a UN resolution which established a partition plan for the land of Israel back in 1947…

The French draft is said to be based on U.N. Resolution 181, dating back to Nov. 29, 1947, which provided for the establishment of two separate states. Called the partition plan, Israel accepted the deal, but the Arab governments rejected it and went to war against Israel. It would have created an independent Palestinian state on 52 percent of historic Palestine.

The current proposal is said to call for an independent state in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem, creating a Palestinian state on 22 percent of the area.

We don’t and we won’t give up on this,” said Francois Delattre, French ambassador to the U.N.

So when will this new resolution be brought to a vote at the UN?

According to Haaretz, the French hope to submit their plan for a vote when the new General Assembly session begins in September

The proposed French resolution will only be tabled after the June 30 deadline set for the nuclear negotiations with Iran. The intention is to bring it to a vote in the Security Council during the General Assembly session in New York in September.

If you understand what I am saying and you are able to put all of the pieces together, you probably just had a “whoa moment”.  It would be hard to overstate just how important this is.

As I mentioned above, up until now the U.S. has always blocked any attempts to get the UN Security Council to recognize a Palestinian state.

But now that Barack Obama is completely and totally fed up with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that could be changing.  The following is a pretty good summary of where things stand today

White House spokesman Josh Earnest pledged on May 12 that following “the comments made by the prime minister in the closing days of his election,” the United States would change its approach toward promoting a solution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Earnest was referring, of course, to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s comment that a Palestinian state will not be established as long as he is prime minister. The most likely assumption, based on Earnest’s words, was that the president will replace his indulgence of Netanyahu’s procrastination on the process with support for proposals for resolving the conflict. Among other things, the new approach appears to include a freeze of the US veto at the UN and its institutions until such time as Israel deigns to extract the two-state negotiations from the freezer.

If the United States does not veto the French resolution later this year, it will almost certainly pass.  So right now, the only thing standing in the way of a Palestinian state is Barack Obama.  And considering the fact that he is probably the most anti-Israel president in our history, that is a very sobering thought.

Publicly, Obama is being very coy about what he plans to do.  But privately, it appears that he has already made up his mind.  In fact, Debka is reporting that Obama has given France a “green light” to move forward with this resolution…

US President Barack Obama did not wait for Binyamin Netanyahu to finish building his new government coalition by its deadline at midnight Wednesday, May 6, before going into action to pay him back for forming a right-wing cabinet minus any moderate figure for resuming negotiations with the Palestinians.

Banking on Netanyahu’s assertion while campaigning for re-election that there would be no Palestinian state during his term in office, Obama is reported exclusively by our sources to have given the hitherto withheld green light to European governments to file a UN Security Council motion proclaiming an independent Palestinian state.

In addition, Debka is also reporting that officials from the Obama administration have actually traveled to France to help draft this new UN resolution…

To show the administration was in earnest, senior US officials sat down with their French counterparts in Paris last week to sketch out the general outline of this motion. According to our sources, they began addressing such questions as the area of the Palestinian state, its borders, security arrangements between Israel and the Palestinians and whether or not to set a hard-and-fast timeline for implementation, or phrase the resolution as  a general declaration of intent.

Incorporating a target date in the language would expose Israel to Security Council sanctions for non-compliance.

And like I discussed earlier, we are not likely to see any action taken on this resolution until the new session of the UN General Assembly begins on September 15th.

Global leaders probably hope that this plan will bring peace.

But it won’t.  In fact, it will just greatly inflame tensions in the region.

In the end, I believe that this “peace plan” will only lead to more war.

The word of God is very clear…September is a MAJOR month for many biblical events to be fulfilled…THIS YEAR…get ready…time is short…thanks for another awesome article Michael…I’m sure you are seeing the “September” pattern as well…on so many levels…

    • iris

Isn’t a blood moon supposed to occur near that time, also?

      • Paul Patriot

Yes, I believe it September 28th

        • Jerry C

The Pope is set to visit the USA on Yom Kippur September 23th. So many signs.

    • whodowetrust

Time to start looking up if your in Christ Jesus.

      • mike

WooHoo…rapture ready living demands righteous living. It may not be today, but then again it may. Watch, wait and be ready!

      • Jim Davis

        Another rapture loon heard from.

  • Mike

Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; And they have divided up My land. Joel 3.

    • stealthman5

Joel 3 and Zecharia 12 and 14 too. Both are about dividing Jerusalem and the Land of Israel in two. What is amazing about both prophesies, is that neither Joel nor Zecharia suggest that the nations of the world will come at the end of days to totally destroy Israel. But they DO come to divide it in two. The precision of these 2400 to 2700 year old prophesies is awesome and as precise as a Swiss watch…and the Swiss will likely join in the party against G-d Himself along with so many others.

    • Joan Camara

And now all we need is the 7 year peace contract signed between Israel and Palestinians, and what will THAT start?? The 7 year tribulation!! Oh happy days! We are soooo close! Thanks for posting that verse. Everyone needs to know that one!!

      • Denise McClurg

        I believe that is a misrepresentation of Scripture . Nov 29 , 1927 Israel was born , Daniels 70 weeks started .BHO got the Nobel Peace Prize Oct 29 , 2009 & the 7 yrs kicked off …March 22 , 2013 Abomination …1260 days left after that…Sept 28 , 2015 be ready …

        • Alan

          You are right!
We are approaching the “days of distress” mentioned in Matthew 24. And in Isaiah 34, and 63, there is mention of “A day of vengeance, and a year of retribution (for the cause of Zion).
Watch Sept. 23 2015 (Yom Kippur, and the day of vengeance) as the start of the final year of the tribulation, and Oct. 5 2016 as the coming of the Christ.

          • Geti Tright

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.” (Matt. 24:36) How then is it that you declare the day of Christ’s return?

    • WhiteDragonKing

I wonder how many will suffer the wraith of the Lord.

  • Robert Gianamore

“……He will confirm a covenant….”. We have been looking for a peace plan to emerge so that the antichrist will have something to confirm. It appears that this plan or covenant was made in 1947. All that’s left is the confirmation.

    • tieman

      Yep.
And I’ll betcha dollars to donuts that Barack Hussein Obama will do the confirming.

  • Van

I just had an epiphany. Could this actually be what the bulk of jade helm is about?!? Knowing most Americans will not stand for it. Interesting how jade helm ends on the 15th and the un may start the resolution at the same time. So many thing happening at one time. We are truly beginning the time of Jacobs trouble. My god have mercy on us

    • John

Jade Helm is taking place in the Bible Belt at the exact time the Supreme Court will rule on homosexual marriage for the entire home-land,

I believe this will be the defining moment for when states will try & leave the Union.

      • Gay Veteran

ROFLOL, well they didn’t leave when the Supreme Court ruled against anti-mixed marriage laws

        • Malcolm Reynolds

Or when they put a stop to democrat oppression of blacks.

          • Gay Veteran

            LOL, like you care

          • marconi314

For a “happy” veteran you sound like you have a bit of pent up anger.

          • Gay Veteran

some find the truth to be angry

          • Calabash

Well then, Gay, you should be quite happy.

          • Gay Veteran

no junior, I’m outraged every day

          • Malcolm Reynolds

LOL, if you say so. But then again, you insist on saying outright idiotic shiz every other day of the week too.

          • Gay Veteran

awwwwww, little Malcolm is here with his “intellectual” droppings

    • Gay Veteran

maybe you grossly overestimate Americans’ support for Israel

      • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

Well, we’ve given them over $120 billion over the years. I don’t think that’s just because of influential lobbying.Israel has a great deal of popular support among Americans. Politicians know that.

        • Jim Davis

Israel has a great deal of popular support among Jews and their useful idiot evangelical moonbats. The rest of the country, not so much.

          • SeaSlipper

You are showing your ignorance of world politics and defense strategies. The USA needs Israel for security intelligence and technology.

          • folgers22

I dunno, seems like they spend a lot of time stealing their tech from us. It’s hard to believe we need them as much as they need us.

          • SeaSlipper

The US doesn’t need anybody as much as they need the US. Still, the US needs its allies.
What has Israel stolen? Be specific.
What have they invented? Most of the Intel processor. And they have won 4 Nobel Prizes in Chemistry since 2009. So they must be contributing something.

          • folgers22

You need to do some reading. Your bias has blinded you to the reality of our “ally.” They’re probably our worst intel threat. 5 seconds on Google should give you a good start. Read By Way of Deception by Victor Ostravsky.

I guess you never heard of Jonathan Pollard, the most famous Israeli spy case. In 1987, he was busted for selling secrets to Israel. More than 10,000 docs stolen from the NIS. Not content with stealing those secrets, Israel granted him citizenship and continues to demand his release to this day.

In the 1960s, the Israelis are believed to have stolen 160kgs of nuclear material from the US Navy which eventually was used to build their nuclear weapons.

They are believed to have stolen Patriot missile technology and incorporated it in their Arrow system.

They stole US tech for their Lavi fighter program-which then helped the PLA develope their J10 fighter.

The FBI 2005 Foreign Economic Collection and Industrial Espionage report stated, “Israel has an active program to gather proprietary information within the United States. These collection activities are primarily directed at obtaining information on military systems and advanced computing applications that can be used in Israel’s sizable armaments industry.”

A 1996 Defense Investigative Service report noted that Israel steals tech by exploiting joint projects that it has with the Pentagon. “Placing Israeli nationals in key industries …is a technique utilized with great success.” A GAO report on espionage described how Israelis in the US stole technology to manufacture artillery gun tubes, obtained classified plans for a reconnaissance system, and passed sensitive aerospace designs to unauthorized users. An Israeli company was caught monitoring a DOD telecommunications system to obtain classified information, while other Israeli entities targeted avionics, missile telemetry, aircraft communications, software systems, and advanced materials and coatings used in missile re-entry. The GAO concluded that Israel “conducts the most aggressive espionage operation against the United States of any US ally.”

In 2009, Stewart Nozette, a US Gov scientist was arrested by the FBI after offering to spy for Israel.

So for a short list, looks like anti-missile tech, nuclear material, aerospace tech, 10K+ intel docs from the Navy (Pollard), artillery tech, software, missile tech…

          • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

As if Israel were the only country to have ever spied on an ally.

          • folgers22

            MUST*DEFEND*AT*ALL*COSTS!
I was asked to back up the statement and I did.

          • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

So you did. Just pointing out that any country, not just Israel, will defend its own interests.

          • Joan Camara

EXACTLY my thoughts! Some people are just anti god, and love to pick on Israel. Satan loves that.

          • Gay Veteran

because obviously if you “pick on” Israel you are anti-god /sarc/

          • folgers22

I haven’t picked on Israel. Cite one instance of me picking on them. They’re a sovereign foreign power. As a sovereign foreign power, I’m not really interested in them. As an American, I am more interested in MY country. That’s why I tune into a blog devoted to The End of the AMERICAN Dream, not the Israeli dream. Had this blog been titled The End of the Israeli Dream, I wouldn’t be here. Should it be re-titled? Michael seems to write about Israel frequently.

I don’t subscribe to the 170 year old false Christian doctrine that you must support Israel, or else God will punish you (read my extensive post on it below, if you want the facts), and it is amazing how worked up people get if you aren’t 100% in lock-step with their slavish devotion to Israel. A sovereign foreign power.

I doubt Satan cares if I support Israel, or not, since he’s probably a lot more intereted in my soul than my politics. I wonder what he thinks about people who spread false or flawed pseudo-Christian doctrines?

          • Gay Veteran

            stolen a lot of land.
            btw:

“Jonathan Jay Pollard (born August 7, 1954) was a United States government employee who pleaded guilty in 1987 to selling classified information to Israel while working as a civilian intelligence analyst and was sentenced to life in prison….”

          • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

Allies spy on each other all the time. Angela Merkel was kind of peeved when she found out we were listening to her phone conversations. France and Mexico weren’t happy with our snooping either.

          • Gay Veteran

fixed your sentence: Still, the US needs its VASSALS

          • iris

another misinformed statement. Do you realize how many contributions Israel and Jews have given to modern science, technology and medicine? The ratio to other countries is nothing short of miraculous. And Israel has shared a great deal of technology with the U.S., technology we rely on for defense, etc.

          • John

That’s because of Technology they steal from everyone else.

That’s what all the high speed computer theft in the financial industry stealing from everyone’s accounts.

Snowden & the rest of the Whistle Blowers told you they are spying & stealing from everyone with their corrupt backdoor computer software systems.

          • folgers22

amazing how off the handle they get if you don’t toe the line and how far they start reaching for proof.
All that guy said was he thought the level of support was exaggerated.

          • John

I don’t see how the level of support is exaggerated since all the politicians bow down to them & swear allegiance, in order to get elected.

          • Joan Camara

Which country ISN’T stealing, lying, etc etvc. Name one that isn’t! Now leave Israel alone!

          • iris

Also, Israel is always one of the first responders, if not the first responder, in any international crisis. Look at Haiti, most recently, look at Nepal. China sent in 20 people to help. Within a couple of days of the initial shock, Israel had sent in 270 highly trained emergency relief and medical personnel. They treat their enemies’ wounded in state of the art hospitals. None of their enemies would do that for them, but then, the MSM and brainwashed liberals will swallow/spit up anything.

          • John

            Problem-Reaction-Solution

They create the Crisis & then provide the Solution.

          • iris

John, governments a heckuva lot more powerful than Israel are creating, “reacting and solving” these crises, they’re going on all around the world, and have for many decades. Powerful country sees vast mineral and oil assets in weaker country that’s doing ok, but would like help with defense, technology, etc. Powerful country makes loan to weaker country, but with all or most mineral, water, oil rights as collateral. “Crisis” occurs in the form of war, etc., powerful country immediately demands full payback on loan, little country can’t pay, assets are seized. This has impoverished many African countries which would have been doing fine, if they hadn’t asked for help in the first place. Then in desperation, Communism looks good, ISIS looks good, anything looks good. Global elites who control world banks are very good at this kind of thing. You’re picking on the wrong country. They were given part of their homeland back by majority vote in 1948. They defended themselves against multiple wars started by most of their surrounding neighbor countries and won. By international law, whatever land Israel won while defending themselves is rightfully theirs. The Muslim plan has always been to destroy Israel since 1948. Why is that so hard to see? Our world is blind as a bat.

          • Gay Veteran

            ROFLOL

          • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

About 2% of Americans are Jewish, and around 25% are Christian evangelicals. Looks like you’re surrounded by “moonbats”. Maybe you ought to consider leaving America and resettling where people in your opinion are more intelligent. (Since you harbor such disdain for so many of your countrymen)

          • Gay Veteran

“…Since you harbor such disdain for so many of your countrymen….”

            read the news lately???

          • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

I may disagree vehemently with my fellow Americans on any given issue; but I do not dismiss people as crazy or stupid just because of a difference of opinion.

          • Gay Veteran

            depends on the opinion.

for example, if someone hates oysters then that is just a difference of opinion.

BUT if someone still defends our war of aggression against Iraq then they are either a fool or a psychopath

          • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

Against Iraq or against ISIS? I know we can’t afford more war. But since we made such a mess in the Middle East don’t we have a moral obligation to fix it?

          • folgers22

There is an old saying, “Don’t throw good money after bad.”
Justifying our foreign adventures on the premise that we need to fix the results of our last foreign adventure seems flawed.
And the war on ISIS is a sham.

          • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

I think we have an obligation to defeat ISIS and bring stability to that region, for the sake of the Iraqis and for the American soldiers who gave their lives. Our Iraq engagement was extremely costly and we made some dreadful mistakes. But we could learn from those mistakes this time, and our involvement wouldn’t result in the disaster that happened after Saddam’s fall.

          • Gay Veteran

            “…bring stability to that region….”

ROFLOL, we can’t keep a guy from jumping over the White House fence and taking a dump in the White House. We can’t control our own borders.
We haven’t won a war since WWII.

again, I agree with Gerald Celente:
            bring the troops home
            seal the border
            rebuild America
            NO foreign entanglements

          • folgers22

We created ISIS. We organized them, trained them, and armed them. And you’ll note we can’t seem to stop them, even though we have a tradition of crushing Iraq in a matter of hours. ISIS is there precisely to keep folks like you absorbed and distracted.
ISIS will thrive until they no longer serve our purposes.

          • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

We could get a coalition together and defeat ISIS rather easily. The reason we’re not doing that is because the current administration would rather fight them in a politically painless way. Which isn’t working. You give the U.S. govt’ too much credit.

          • folgers22

Do some reading-the facts on ISIS have been out for a long time. It all goes back to Qatar and Saudi trying to topple Syria and the big money to be made on a pipeline through Syria.

They pushed hard for us to help them with that and an ersatz national liberation movement was cobbled together and trained and armed by us.

Judicial Watch just released DOD docs 2 weeks ago that showed the DOD KNEW they would end up with an out-of-control Sunni caliphate if they funded the rebels. Last year, the British press ran the headline, “US Switches Sides in the War on Terror!” Did you fail to notice when Obama said we would bomb ISIS, but we wouldn’t shy away from hitting Assad’s forces if they happened to get in the way?

Also, we already have a coalition there. It’s primarily formed from Syria’s neighbors, included Saudi and Qatar, the same guys who engineered the rebellion in the first place. So don’t expect much real fighting in SyrAq until we decide ISIS isn’t useful.

          • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

I know very well that Obama and the Saudis would like to get rid of Assad, and that we have been supporting the “moderate” rebels, even though ISIS is the strongest force against Assad at this point. What I do not believe is that ISIS is a deliberate creation of the US. That just doesn’t sound credible to me. Provide some links to a reliable source, please. If it’s true, I’d like to know.

          • Gay Veteran

“…for the sake of the Iraqis and for the American soldiers who gave their lives….”

let me clue you into something, they died for war profits

          • folgers22

If we are to learn from Iraq, we’ll have to learn to stay at home and solve our own problems and not let militarists and big business march us off half-cocked and uninformed to wars that in no way preserve our nation. All these wars do is take our treasure and transfer it to big business while destroying our credibility on the world stage. To the rest of the world, we look like Darth Vader precisely because of what we do overseas.

          • Bitsey

            Thanks for the laugh!

          • folgers22

Laugh all you want-I was in Iraq. I saw how fruitless and wasteful the war was. And I can tell you all the soldiers who died there pretty much died for nothing. We knew the war would be over some day and nothing would change and we used to talk about how awful it would be to be the last guy to die for Iraq.
The stories I could tell you about the corruption and deceit and waste…
Your tax dollars in that war were pretty much just spent on enriching big business, politicians’ buddies, and the Iraqis. Watch the documentary Iraq For Sale to get an idea of the scam that war was. And read My Time In The Emerald City while you’re at it.

          • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

We shouldn’t have invaded Iraq, but we did. Now we should deal with our mess. Or maybe not. Since our financial situation is so dire, maybe American hegemony is destined to come to an end, and we should just face that fact now, pull out and take care of ourselves at home. Let Saudi Arabia and Iran duke it out in the Middle East. I don’t know.

          • Gay Veteran

            Iraq.
ISIS is the creation of the U.S. and Saudi Arabia. The Syrian government stands in the way of a gas pipeline from Qatar.

          • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

The U.S. and Saudi Arabia did not need to create the Islamic State in order to topple Assad. ISIS is an accidental Frankenstein.

you need to read more than just the corporate media

          • Gay Veteran

“…don’t we have a moral obligation to fix it?”

do you actually think our government has anything to do with morality?!?!?!?

and we do is spread death and destruction……er, I meant free-dumb and duh-mocracy around the world

          • Jim Davis

25% evangelicals is a bogus statistic. You are delusional.

        • Gay Veteran

$120 BILLION that was desperately needed here at home.
if people Israel to get money then they need to send THEIR money

          • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

A mere pittance compared to the amount of money we’ve spent on various failed wars: the war in Vietnam, war in Iraq, war on poverty, war on drugs…

          • Gay Veteran

true, but think about how much $120 BILLION would have accomplished in YOUR state

          • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

NJ’s transportation fund is in trouble because of years of too much borrowing; and I heard (can’t find the source now) that the politicians have used the money in that fund for other things-but I’m not sure about that; I’ll have to get back to you. Also, NJ is often criticized for having too much government. One of our assemblymen has been calling for doing away with redundant county government as a way to save money. I wouldn’t bet that cutting off aid to Israel would do much for our state. Already our property taxes are highest in the nation and we have two death taxes (don’t die in NJ). And we spend almost 19,000 per pupil per year. I come into contact with a lot of high school kids at my job. We are NOT getting our money’s worth. Maybe it’s time to start weaning Israel off the bottle. Not just suddenly cut off, though. I understand that we fund 25% of their military; that’s a big chunk.

          • Gay Veteran

our infrastructure is literally falling apart, so NO foreign aid

          • Joan Camara

America plays on both sides of the fence. We give thousands or maybe millions to Palestine too. Probably more these days since Obummer has been in office. So we’re not giving JUST to Israel!

          • Gay Veteran

sorry, should have been clearer, NO foreign aid

          • iris

agreed. Besides, we’ve given/are giving right now, A LOT more money than that to our enemies (people who have stated for years that they actually want to destroy America, not that we’re not doing a great job of that on our own), besides training them, think OBL, ongoing rebels in the ME Spring, many of whom now are in ISIS, not to mention weaponry.

          • folgers22

Also wrong. We don’t need to give anyone weapons or money. Let them figure it out on their own.
I remember when terrorists seized the APCs and weapons we gave the PA, too-more freebies for our defense corps and a way to add to the chaos over there, which is a great justifcation for staying and giving out more money and guns.
Does it ever seem like we sow the seeds of conflict when we go around handing out weapons? Just look what a great success our program of arming the Iraqis turned out to be. They’re merely middlemen in our inadvertent program to arm ISIS. Some day, we’re going to fight iSIS, too, but not yet-they’re still a useful distraction.

          • folgers22

Hardly a good argument. We don’t pay taxes to prop up foreign regimes, we pay taxes to prop up our own regime.

          • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

First of all, I was just putting the numbers in perspective, not making a direct argument against stopping or reducing aid to Israel. Secondly, we are not “propping up” some unstable fly-by-night “regime”. We have been supporting a stable democracy with a productive economy.

          • folgers22

But if it’s stable and productive, why prop it up at all?
And we’re not only propping them up, we’re propping up defense industries in the process. For instance, I just read we want to sell them some advanced fighters. Don’t worry though-even if they are stable and capable of supporting themselves, we’re going to give them the money to buy the jets. Corporate welfare of the lowest sort. Meanwhile, I just heard a statistic on the radio sourced from the Federal Reserve that %47 of Americans can’t scrape together $400 if they need to. That’s astonishing.

          • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

Good point. Israel has been a nation 67 years: maybe it’s time to start slowing down the aid, and eventually ceasing it altogether. And corporations definitely shouldn’t get welfare. I’m not sure that eliminating foreign aid to any country will automatically result in more money in the pockets of average Americans though.

      • Van

Not at all. I travel the country regularly. Many I have spoken with support Israel right to exist as a nation.

        • Gay Veteran

          I agree with Gerald Celente:

    • Jim Davis

Modern state of Israel is a Marxist, secular liberal place. Why would God care about whether anyone supports THAT?

      • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

Not especially. Transparency International gave Israel a corruption rating that was worse than most developed countries, but better than average for a Middle Eastern country. A poll found, however, that most Israelis regard their politicians as corrupt. At least they see that there is a problem.

      • Robert

Interesting question. Israel also outlaws Christian proselytizing. Evangelicals are buying God’s favor by supporting essentially a godless country. I think scripture has been grossly misinterpreted concerning blessings for blessing Israel.

        • John

Exactly. That’s why He said Punishment starts at His House First.

America & Israel – The Two Witnesses

      • Van

True. However we are talking about their government. Which most true Israelis, even when I was in Jerusalem for Easter last year, stated that. The people I met there want peace. Its the government refuses to give up certain portions of the land.

        • John

Its the same in every country – its the corrupt politicians that are filling their own pockets at the expense of their citizens.

        • Joan Camara

They’ll be a 7 year peace treaty between Israel and Palestine signed one day. Wanna bet?

      • SeaSlipper

Marxist? It’s a capitalist economy. Or are you one of those who just slanders Jews based on lies?

And how are they thieves? Example please.

not likely. Watch in August when it is a hazy memory. All the conspiracy theorists are going to look like fools, just like they have for the last 20+ years with their paranoid stories of UN takeovers and black helicopters.

      • Joan Camara

I got dibs on a MAJOR conspiracy! There’s gonna be a 7 year peace treaty signed between Israel and Palestine! Let’s wait and see if THAT comes true!

    • Sue Breslin

Also, don’t forget, Sept will be the fourth of the Blood Moons. I just had chills go down my back…..There is no God like Jehovah…..Behold he comes, riding on the clouds, shining like the sun, at the the trumpets call LIFT YOUR VOICE, year of jubilee, OUT OF ZIONS HILLS SALVATION COMES.

      • iris

Yes, this is a jubilee year, too, isn’t it?

      • Joan Camara

Watch for a signing of a 7 year peace treaty between Israel and Palestine. This will bring on the 7 year tribulation!

    • Joan Camara

Wonder if we’re close to getting that 7 year peace treaty signed between Israel and Palestinians? That will bring on the 7 year Tribulation!!

  • folgers22

Once again, I feel compelled to point out this blog is devoted to the Death of the AMERICAN Dream.

I don’t know why or how Israel figures into the topic.

After hearing about Israel and the Palestinians all my life, and having it beat into my head by the “news” and other media, like this one, I’m tired of hearing about it. Every president thinks he can fix it and fails miserably. Nothing there will change until those people want it to change. I wish God would do something about it, because I just don’t care anymore. If this really is somehow an issue that God cares about, I figure He can take care of it without our meddling. Since He hasn’t done much for the Jews in the last few thousand years, it’s hard to believe He’s going to get worked up over the UN. The only thing the UN is good for is making useless paperwork and useless over-paid bureaucrats.

    • Geti Tright

“…He hasn’t done much for the Jews in the last few thousand years…” Yes He has, you just don’t understand what He’s been doing. From 70 AD when the temple was destroyed by the Roman Army, and then around 132-135 AD during the Bar Kochba rebellion, until 1948/1967 AD, the Jews were dispersed among the Gentiles because of their disobedience to God – just as He said He would do. During this time (called ‘days of vengence’ – Luke 21:22-24) God has been working to make the Jews jealous (Romans 11:11-25) by extending His grace to the Gentiles through salvation in Jesus Christ. This period will approach it’s end as “the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled” (Luke 21:24), marked by the Jews entering back into their land (1948) and regaining control of Jerusalem (1967). See Joel 3:1-8, Daniel 9:24-27. God said from this point He will assemble the dry bones (Israel – Ezekiel 36,37) and bring them back to life (spiritually). Those who attempt to divide the land again or destroy the people of Israel God will destroy. THAT is why this is important to America and all the world. You must understand that we are seeing extremely significant fulfillment of Bible prophecy right before our eyes and ignorance is no excuse. The implications for ALL people are enormous. “Prepare to meet thy God.” Repent of your sins, put your faith in the mercy of God and Jesus Christ and be saved.

      • Bill

so what are you saying because they are back in there home land there is another way to get to heaven under Jewish old testament law, if you believe this I can sell you a bridge in New York City. The only sign that would be given for us to know that we are at the end of time would be the jews being restored to there home land and that was in 1948, and that’s it. No jew anywhere in there world , if he is not repented of his or her sins and accepted Christ will be going to hell. God has not set aside a special chosen race of people any longer that ended at the Cross, the jews like the gentiles all have the same rights to come to Christ for salvation and that is not of themselves its a gift of God. When the jews were screaming to crucify Christ they all cried out, let the blood of Christ fall upon our children and that still exists to this day. it’s there generational curse for what they have done and it will not be cleansed by them or anyone , it must be thru Christ and Christ alone.

        • Ryan

I was beginning to think there were no CHRISTians left. …..

        • Gay Veteran

perhaps you can explain what happened to the millions of people post-50AD who never heard of Jesus

          • eldon johansen

most of them were probably lost ! the prophets have been lamenting that there is one righteous out of a hundred, a thousand, ten thousand, since the days of recorded writing.

“all who call upon God shall be saved” was true before the flood too.

          • Gay Veteran

are you saying your “god” is going to punish these people despite the fact they NEVER hear of Jesus?!?!?!?

          • Gay Veteran

            flood? find that ark yet?

          • John

That’s an easy one. Bible says He went down to Sheol to free the captives there at His death.

19 through whom also he went and preached to the spirits in Sheol.

            1Peter3:19

52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
            Matt27:52-53

          • Gay Veteran

how does that apply to people post-50AD when the verses are written in the past tense?

        • Tyree Bruce

Read your bible. Israel will always be protected by God. These things happening with politicians trying to divide Israel feed into the prophecies. Any country that stand against Israel will incur Gods wrath. God loves Israel and we are to love Israel too. The fact that this matter is up in September is only more reason to watch with interest. This could very well be it for the World as we know it. May we all be ready!

          • folgers22

If Israel will always be protected by God, then why waste time worrying about it? If you believe in God, and you accept His power, and you realize none of this is in your hands, then who cares what happens over there? Someone higher up the chain of command has it on lock already.

          • Gay Veteran

but, but, but we need to send OUR tax dollars there /sarc/

          • Gay Veteran

really? didn’t protect them from the Romans

          • folgers22

Not necessarily. I won’t repost my nauseatingly long rebuttal to that doctrine (see below), which only dates from the 1830s, and which smacks head-first against the Bible, itself.

        • folgers22

          Precisely, Sir.

        • Bitsey

The Lord has not forgotten his covenant with Israel. In the end, The Lord will grant their request of His blood being upon their children. His blood upon me is what saves me. Praise The Lord!

        • Geti Tright

No, I’m not saying there is another way to God, nor did I infer that. I agree with you 100% that salvation is in Jesus Christ alone. However, that does not alter the fact that God said He would bring the Jews back into the land, and that has happened. In Ezekiel’s vision of the dry bones, they were brought back together as lifeless corpses first – this is Israel today, brought back together, yet spiritually dead. Following that, life is breathed into them and they become living beings – this is Israel after they come to salvation in Jesus Christ, which will happen at some future time when they “see Him whom they have pierced.” This is all clearly laid out in scripture.

      • Gay Veteran

interesting you didn’t mention that little ole holocaust

      • Gay Veteran

where was god during all the pograms in Europe?
        during the Holocaust?
        taking a vacation?

ho hum, so many questions, and not enough knowledge.

          • Gay Veteran

            ROFLOL, please enlighten us

        • Geti Tright

The “little ‘ol holocaust” as you called it in a previous reply, as well as the pograms in Europe, were part of the “days of vengeance” mentioned in my post. There were multiple events of this nature throughout the Jewish dispersion. God’s plan is being fulfilled just as He said it would. He does not take a vacation, neither does He sleep, nor is He weary. He is Just in all His dealings, and He is Merciful to those who fear Him and call upon Him in repentance.

          • Gay Veteran

            etc.

I think you threw too much at folgers with all the dates and verses. I think they needed a simplier explanation.

    • Ryan

The UN created Israel from thin air, therefore the U.N. should dissolve Israel, and take control of the entire Palestine, disarm ALL parties, and administer Palestine until the People can peacefully coexist. A State/Nation is a SELF-sufficient body. Israel has lived off WELFARE CHECKS from America since day-one. Therefore Israel is neither a state or a nation. Israel is a “client” a CHARITY recipient, a DEPENDENT.

      • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

The UN does not create nations, and cannot dissolve them.

        • Ryan

The UN created Israel from thin air

          • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

      • SeaSlipper

How is any country created? How was the USA created? Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan are creations of the Europeans. Should we dismantle them?

It’s all anti-semitism. You only hear about Israel because anti-semites and enemies of God are obsessed with Jews. Anyone who cares about injustice has many better places to look than Israel, whose record is very good considering their situation.

pure BS, people aren’t buying that smear anymore

    • Joan Camara

You know how many times Israel is mentioned in the bible? 2,319 times. You may not care about Israel and Palestine, but they have EVERYTHING to do with endtimes. Wouldn’t you love to have a book that told the future?? The bible tells us what happened in the past, and what WILL happen in the future. I think that’s very exciting. I know what’s coming. And people like me can watch and read the news and see EXACTLY how it fits with the end of the book. So with articles like this one, we know how close we are to God coming back. So I’ll give you a little bit of my knowledge about the future. If this UN resolution brings about a 7 year peace treaty between Israel and Palestine, we can expect the 7 year tribulation to start. By then, it might be too late for you to catch up on what you should know to be one of God’s children, because it will be a horrible time for sinners, and christians alike. This will God’s judgement on the earth, before He takes His people home with him. I wish I could explain everything that will be happening then, but it’s just too much to write. Just watch for a 7 year peace treaty to be signed.(This might just happen in September) ( If you’d like to know more, you could write me at joanofark06 at gmail dot com.) You sound angry, but you don’t seem to be mean about it, so I’d real like to help you with your confusion of this matter.

  • Richard O. Mann

September is really shaping up to be a month to end all months. I’ve heard so much coming together this September. And then, there is the gut, spiritual “feeling” that some thing big is about to happen. All these things will have a major impact on the US. I truly believe that the US will not survive.

    • Joan Camara

Exactly, but I wanted to spread the word to everyone to also watch for a 7 year peace treaty signed between Israel and Palestine. This will bring on the 7 year tribulation, and it will be a horrible time like never seen before in history.

Jesus said Israel will be born in a day, May 14th or 15th the UN voted to recognize Israel as a Nation State literally fulfilling the Prophecy.
The bible also says “no nation will stand with Israel”, if Obama does not veto the UN vote that will fulfill another Prophecy.
If no Nation stands with Israel God will intervene to punish those nations.
I’m hoping the Rapture will get me out of hear before Gods intervention begins.. I can’t wait until Sept. to see how this plays out..

Those who bless Israel…. CRUCIFY Christ.

      • iris

Those who curse Israel, crucify Him afresh. Read Romans 10 and 11, if you claim Him. We all killed Jesus by our sins, so to blame one people group is to not get it, imo. Besides, it was the leaders, and Pontius Pilate, to place the sense of blame I think you’re referring to. If Jesus were in America right now, facing an imminent crucifixion, or in the EU, perhaps those of us who think we’re Christians would be the very ones planning His death, unaware, but thinking we’re helping God, like the Pharisees did.

      JUDAS ISCARIOT was a JEW

This rapture or what I hear so many people talk about, them being taken up from off the earth, this does not happen until after the millennium. This is when Satan gets released again for one last time (season) to gather his minions.
While this is happening, then people are taken up as the earth gets burned with fire (receives the holy ghost) and becomes a paradisical glory.
I hear so many people talk about not having to be here at the very end times and them being taken away from it all. This is not happening we are going to have to go through these tribulations and trials. We will have to struggle, suffer and fight for liberty and freedom.
In regards to Israel we don’t have to worry so much about them only those that fight against them. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will fight for Israel and his wrath will come down upon all those nations that have taken their land from off them and that fight against his covenant people. This is prophecy being fulfilled.

God will destroy who he will destroy and curse who he will curse and punish who he will punish for as long as he sees fit to do so. However when he helps restore a person, family or nation to their rightful station and makes convenants and promises he will deliver on those convenants.
The Israelites have heeded his call and promptings to gather home. I don’t ever hear anything about gay and lesbian marriages in Israel and what I do hear and see is more and more Israeli people accepting Jesus Christ.
Israel is the only democracy in the region and is accepting of other faiths. They are patient with their enemies and they are surrounded by them. They are the most hated nation on earth apart from the USA which is catching up.
When you are discerning you will see that most of the time the Jews are used as a scape goats for most things. Most of the Global elite say that they are Jews but they are Khazar Jews originally from Georgian Royal blood lines and not from Israel.
God is going to destroy those nations that fight against Israel whether some people like it or not and he has already started to defend them. They have won wars already and are a tiny little nation amongst huge heathen nations that beset them on all sides and hate them with a passion.

WE TRUE CHRISTIANS BELIEVERS ARE TRUE JEWS BY HEARTH AND SOULS FOR WE WILL BE ONE ,THE CHURCH AND SAVED JEWS ONE PEOPLE FOR CHRIST, SO YES I TAKE IT AS AN OFFENSE TO DIVIDE JERUSALEM, SOME OF THOSE BEUTIFULL JEWS ARE MY FUTURE BROTHER AND SISTERS, BLESS ISRAEL WITH TOTAL VICTORY AGAINS ITS ENEMIES… MY SOUL STAND UP FOR THE NATION WHERE MY SAVIOR WAS BORN BUT EXISTED BEFORE THEN BECAUSE HE IS GOD ALMIGHTY.

“WE TRUE CHRISTIANS BELIEVERS ARE TRUE JEWS….”

uh, no, because Jews don’t accept Jesus as the messiah

Is France concerned with injustice? Let’s hear their thoughts on Syria’s civil war, Saudi Arabia’s beheadings, Arab terrorist acts against Israel, or the fact that Jews are not allowed in 2 dozen Arab countries.

I drive a 18 wheeler between Michigan and Chicago five days a week. Think it might be a great idea to make sure my car’s gassed up and my get home bag is ready to go if this vote succeeds.

Obama is going to have to answer to JC for this mistake he is making!

Israel will stand in Glory forever (Zechariah Ch 14). She will face one last harsh journey in which, in the end, MESSIAH YESHUA will save Her. The nations of the world will surrender to Israel for the KING OF KING and LORD of LORDS will rule from their. Right now you have hateful anti-Semitic liars out like wolves (the devils puppets) attacking Israel with words and deed–they will meet their end, one I will not imagine. For those of us who belong to MESSIAH YESHUA, we know the truth and the truth will destroy the liars. When the un forces a fake palestinian state, I believe YAHWEH will show HIS MIGHTY FURY and the inhabitants of the earth will tremble with fear.
September will begin the Yovel year, the fourth blood moon, the end of operation Jade Helm, along with the theory that a comet/meteor/asteroid is going to crash into the Atlantic. It would be wise for those who belong to YESHUA to prepare and watch world matters very carefully, and when September arrives, you will know what actions to take.

    • Gay Veteran

“Israel will stand in Glory forever….”
except when it got crushed by Rome
except when the pograms happened in Europe
      except when the Holocaust happened

          until it does

            Anyone care to answer that?

  • Tatiana Covington

What’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Jews have no special privileges… because nobody does. Physical reality is not set up to permit any such things.

    • folgers22

Always speaking plain truth. Hat tip

    • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

What do you mean? Israel claims no special privileges by insisting upon its right to exist; no more so than any other nation.

  • Scott Sepanek

What is wrong with the Palestinians having their own state? Btw, Jesus did regather the lost sheep of the house of Israel. He succeeded in his mission. For someone to say otherwise is to make God a liar. The Jews for that matter are still anti-Christ. The Christians on the other hand when they say that the Jews are the chosen people are essentially giving away their spiritual birthright (not a good plan). Time to repent or join the rest of the liars in hell.. Scott Sepanek

you don’t need conspiracy theories when the truth is in front of you: we live in a fascist country (fascism is the merger of state and corporate powers)

I can’t wait till they sign the 7 year peace treat between Israel and Palestinians. You’ll be in for a treat!

  • Bitsey

    Yawn.

  • Brian Dougan

It never fails; regardless of the source. I enjoy reading interesting newspaper and Internet articles–then look forward to seeing some reasoned comments. I want to know what other readers think about the thesis. The first several comments stick to the topic, and then someone makes an inflammatory comment. Boom. the discussion goes down the toilet.

    It never fails.

Please: It’s okay to disagree; but disparaging remarks don’t edify anyone.

  • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

So do you think that Obama is really an alien reptile?

    • folgers22

Ohhhh no, I’m not falling for that, “He’s an illegal alien!” story again.

  • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

So when God told Abram (Gen.chap 13) “For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.”, he left out the fine print which said: ” I’m really going to replace your descendants with the adherents of a new religion if your offspring screw up. Don’t take it too literally: this gift is really more like a loan.”

  • Patrick Williams

I know I am probably the minority voice but I am glad for this. The Palestinian Christians (our brothers and sisters) have been treated as second class citizens under the Israeli government, to my knowledge.

If you look at the original borders for Israel, when the state was founded in 1948, they have almost acquired ALL the remaining territory through military conquest.

Even Rabbi Weiss (Google his name- an Orthodox Jew, I believe) believes that the modern state of Israel actually violates the Law of Moses and is also in violation of God’s covenantal commands by their taking the land and oppression of the Palestinians.

I know there are always two sides to every story, and the Palestinians are not pure either, but support for Israel, no matter what atrocities they commit, does not honor God nor His commands…even God would rebuke and condemn His own people when they did wrong so no one, not even Israel, is beyond rebuke or correction.

Just my 2 cents…but google Rabbi Weiss and listen to his thoughts from a Jewish perspective.

  • A.S.

If this deal goes through and the U.S.doesn’t block the Security Council vote, then the Almighty’s wrath well fall upon the U.S.
    1. earthquakes
    2. hurricanes
    3. tornadoes
    4. fires
    5. floods
    6. drought
    7. disease outbreaks
    8. more

All these will occur on the same day and millions will die all thanks to Obama. This is already occurring. The reason for the bird flue Michael wrote about is a warning for this deal. The Almighty gives something light before giving something very bad like major earthquakes. Think about it. Why did that New Orleans go down?–because the U.S. pushed Israel to give up Gaza. Thank Obama for your demise. You voted for him!

  • MetaCynic

So 136 nations want a Palestinian state, but some interests in the U.S. want Obama to stand in the way of the world community’s recognition for a people’s desire for sovereignty in that region? Why? If the various peoples of the former Soviet Union were allowed to form their own nations and live together in peace as neighbors, then why shouldn’t the long suffering Palestinians be allowed to do so as well?

  • Calabash

If France is successful, I trust God will pour out His wrath on her as well as the U.S.

  • Calabash

I hope you enjoyed writing all that ’cause I can assure you, nobody read it.

    • Gay Veteran

      hey Einstein, YOU read it

  • Ranchman

How can the fraud Nobama, or any other person, have the audacity to tell Israel (or any country) where their borders will be or anything that interferes with another nation’s sovereignty? Israel SHOULD tell that loser to get lost.

  • CharlesH

If this comes to pass – a UN resolution granting a Palestinian state – you can expect an upheaval in that region the likes of which the world has never witnessed.

  • Panamajax

Cognitive Dissonance is “psychological conflict resulting from incongruous beliefs and attitudes held simultaneously”. People will contort in all sorts of ways to avoid seeing the uncomfortable truth that is right in front of their eyes and facing that conflict.

As a U.S. citizen who’s been outside the country for many years, I can only say that you sound like the perfect example of the condition described in the definition I lead with. I’d be interested in your opinions (or more likely whatever TV channel you’ve chosen to do your ‘thinking’ for you) After you’ve read these two government documents that your TV never mentioned = FM 3-39.40 and ATP 3-39.33, if you’re still wallowing in ‘willful ignorance’, or ‘normality bias’ or whatever you’d care to call it, I’d be more than willing to be specific in an attempt to help you overcome the denial you’re so devoted to, in what will turn out to be a futile attempt to hide from reality. (I’m not being specific about the list of yours, but you did manage to include some truth in there)

“We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.” And that comes directly from the mouth of the CIA director, Bill Casey, in 1981.

Albert pike predicted this would happen. Israel will invade palistein bringing along with it Iran and syria into the war. The US, obligated by treaty, will enter the war on Israel side, thus forcing russia to back Iran and syria. This has all been pre planned.

Maybe CERN should be looking for the “dog” particle instead of the “god” particle. After all, when matter is broken down to that level everything “flips” and becomes the opposite of the way things are in the “regular” universe. Ya know, “matter and anti-matter”, one is the opposite of the other, and when they touch each other they annihilate each other. Problem solved. They should have asked me first.

France was due to submit this to the UN on Sept. 15th, wondering if Obama has signed it. (as of Sept 19th)

So what happened with this proposal? Did Obama sign on? Anyone know?
