What In The World Is Wrong With American Kids?

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

What in the world has happened to the children of America?  All over the United States kids are acting like half-crazed monsters, but most people seem to think that this is “normal”.  American kids today are selfish, self-centered, sadistic, cruel, disrespectful, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, boastful, unforgiving, incredibly brutal and they possess very little self-control whatsoever.  They feel entitled to everything, but they don’t want to work for any of it.  They are absolutely addicted to entertainment, and they know very little about self-sacrifice.  Disciplining children is not considered to be “politically correct” in America today, and with each passing year these little hellions get even worse.  So what in the world is our country going to look like when all of these out of control kids grow up?

Below I have posted a video that is likely to make you very, very angry.  It is video of two 15-year-old bullies torturing a little 10-year-old boy in the back of a school bus.  What makes it even worse is that the boy is a special needs student.

The short video below only shows some of the key moments, but the truth is that the bullies physically abused this poor boy for the entire 40 minute bus trip.  They constantly used racial and sexual slurs and at one point they held a very hot cigarette lighter against his skin which made him howl in pain.

This video is a perfect example of what is wrong with the kids of America today….

Sadly, this was not an isolated incident.

The truth is that hellish scenes play out on the school buses of America every single day.

In a previous article, I discussed an incredibly shocking video that showed a group of school kids taunting an elderly school bus monitor so ruthlessly that she broke down in tears.

The video has been viewed more than 8 million times on YouTube and if you have not seen it yet you can watch it here.

It is time to face reality – American kids are really, really messed up.

This is one of the reasons why I am encouraging parents to get their children out of the government schools.  I went to public schools all my life, and they were horrible enough back then.  I feel really badly for any child that has to endure the hellholes that we call “public schools” today.

Sadly, there are endless examples of how out of control American children are these days.

For example, teens all over America are now playing something called “the knockout game”.

The idea is that you pick out a random stranger on the street and then you see who can run over and knock that person out first.

The following is from an article about one recent incident in Chicago where a group of teens actually killed an elderly man while playing the knockout game….

Three teenagers accused of killing a 62-year-old father-of-12 in West Rogers Park were playing a game called “Pick ‘em out and knock ‘em down” when they videotaped themselves punching him in the face, prosecutors say.

Malik Jones, 16, Nicholas Ayala, 17, and Anthony Malcolm, 18, were caught after the video of Jones fatally punching Delfino Mora was posted on Jones’ Facebook page, according to authorities.

The three were playing a “game where the offender picks an innocent victim and knocks him out by striking him and likely robbing him as well,” Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney Terry Clancy told Judge Israel Desierto in court Monday.

How would you like to be walking down the street one day only to have a group of teens savagely attack you for no reason and try to knock you out?

Something has changed in America.

Our country is becoming very sick and twisted.

Meanwhile, our kids are becoming increasingly stupid at the same time.

For example, according to a survey conducted by the National Geographic Society, only 37 percent of all Americans between the ages of 18 and 24 can find the nation of Iraq on a map.

Sadly, there are many other surveys that have also shown how stupid our kids have become.

Posted below is an excerpt from a recent article that I wrote entitled “Dumb As A Rock: You Will Be Absolutely Amazed At The Things That U.S. High School Students Do Not Know“….

The following are some of the absolutely amazing results of a study conducted a few years ago by Common Core….

*Only 43 percent of all U.S. high school students knew that the Civil War was fought some time between 1850 and 1900.

*More than a quarter of all U.S. high school students thought that Christopher Columbus made his famous voyage across the Atlantic Ocean after the year 1750.

*Approximately a third of all U.S. high school students did not know that the Bill of Rights guarantees freedom of speech and freedom of religion.  (This is a topic that I touched on yesterday).

*Only 60 percent of all U.S. students knew that World War I was fought some time between 1900 and 1950.

Even more shocking were the results of a survey of Oklahoma high school students conducted back in 2009.  The following is a list of the questions that were asked and the percentage of students that answered correctly….

What is the supreme law of the land? 28 percent

What do we call the first ten amendments to the Constitution? 26 percent

What are the two parts of the U.S. Congress? 27 percent

How many justices are there on the Supreme Court? 10 percent

Who wrote the Declaration of Independence? 14 percent

What ocean is on the east coast of the United States? 61 percent

What are the two major political parties in the United States? 43 percent

We elect a U.S. senator for how many years? 11 percent

Who was the first President of the United States? 23 percent

Who is in charge of the executive branch? 29 percent

Are you surprised by those numbers?

You shouldn’t be.

Anyone that cannot see that there is something fundamentally wrong with American kids these days is being delusional.

Yes, there are exceptions.  There are some young people out there today that are absolutely extraordinary.

But overall, the kids of America are a total mess.

Not only are our kids stupid and violent, they are also very sexually active.

In the United States today, 47 percent of all high school students have had sex.

All of that loose sexuality has some very negative consequences.

For example, the United States has the highest teen pregnancy rate on the entire planet.

Is that something we should be proud of?

In the United States today, one out of every four teen girls has at least one sexually transmitted disease.

And there is no cure for some of those diseases.  They can be treated, but they will stay with those girls for the rest of their lives.

Are you ready for some more shocking numbers?

The following statistics are from a survey of teen girls done by Tyra Banks….

  • On average, girls are losing their virginity at 15 years of age.
  • 14 percent of teens who are having sex say they’re doing it at school.
  • 52 percent of survey respondents say they do not use protection when having sex.
  • One in three says she fears having a sexually transmitted disease.
  • 24 percent of teens with STDs say they still have unprotected sex.
  • One in five girls says she wants to be a teen mom.

Not that our boys are doing any better.

In fact, our boys are probably doing even worse than our girls are.

In a previous article, I quoted a recent Business Insider article that listed some amazing statistics about boys in America….

-In 2011, young men’s SAT scores were the worst they had been in 40 years.

-Even Hollywood has caught on: films like Failure to Launch, Knocked Up and Jackass mock the ineptitude of this generation.

-Boys account for 70 percent of D’s and F’s given at school.

-Research shows guys aren’t interested in being husbands, fathers or the head of the household.

-Boys are four to five times more likely than girls to have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, according to the National Center for Education Statistics. Two-thirds of students in special education programs are guys.

-The average boy spends 13 hours a week playing video games. The average girl spends 5. The average young American will spend 10,000 hours playing video games by age 21. That’s twice the time it takes to earn a bachelor’s degree.

-The average high school boy spends two hours watching porn every week. Men can’t escape porn: 13,500 full-length commercial porn films were released in 2011, compared with 600 Hollywood films.

-Researchers claim that internet pornography is hurting young boys’ ability to form meaningful romantic relationships because they objectify their partner.

-It’s predicted that 60 percent of bachelor’s degrees will go to women by 2016.

After reading all of that, is there still anyone out there that doubts that there is something fundamentally wrong with American kids?

It is so sad to watch what is happening to future generations.

So what is causing all of this?

There are a lot of factors of course, but the breakdown of the family is definitely one of them.

According to the Pew Research Center, only 51 percent of all Americans that are at least 18 years old are currently married.

Back in 1960, 72 percent of all U.S. adults were married.

The United States has the highest divorce rate in the world by a very wide margin, and America also has the highest percentage of one person households on the entire planet.

Our families are weak and they are getting weaker, and our children are suffering.

It is this type of environment that produces monsters such as James Holmes.  When the basic building blocks of society break down, people tend to lose it.

Don’t let this happen to your family or to your children.  In a world that is becoming crazier and more unstable with each passing day, there is more of a need for love and family than ever before.

So what do all of you think about the behavior of American kids these days?

I would also suggest you review this report on The Psychological Effects of Bullying on Kids & Teens by Ann Steele.

  • Cleo

When I was in grade school in the 50’s (OMG! I’m older than dirt), we used to sing Xmas carols around the Xmas tree in the hall. And they were religious songs too. And the two Jewish kids who were classmates sang right along. And I sat next to a mentally deficient girl in class, and it was no big deal. And the teachers taught all subjects without an agenda. And I got a first class education.

So, what happened? Progressivism for the most part, and maybe we have eaten too much from the tree of knowledge.

  • A.S.

All the more reason to bring back religion into the school. You can teach basic moral behavior without any reference to any particular religious belief.

Start by teaching: “no sex before marriage. and once you get married, only have sex with your partner in marriage.” This alone will solve many problems.

But no, evil people like Nancy Pelosi want to hand out condoms to babies in kindergarten! HOW SICK IS THAT!

    • A.S.

And parents shouldn’t be afraid to spank their kids when they are young, so they may know right from wrong when they are older.

It is taught in Torah that a father should hit (but not with anger) his child just once so that he knows the fear of G-d. How far have we come in the wrong direction, where the child is the master of the house and his parents the servants!

    • Gay Veteran

sorry but religious instruction is the SOLE responsibility of parents

“…evil people like Nancy Pelosi want to hand out condoms to babies in kindergarten….”

      proof please

      • A.S.

That is the problem: parents are not teaching their children proper attitudes about sex, which is a religious issue. Parents are not teaching their children things like not to steal, respect their elders, which is a religious issue. Where did I state that any particular religion should be taught in school? I only said common religious beliefs should be taught. Schools should teach abstinence instead of handing out condoms to 12 yr olds and below.

And regarding sex education in kindergarten, read CA state laws like:

Who do you think is behind it? People like Pelosi.

        • Jacob Eagleshield

Yeah! Right! Teach a kid,who doesn’t listen to anyone, whose hormones are raging that abstinence is the only way to go.
Yup! That is it! And the earth is only six thousand years old,and humans and t Rex lived together. Give me a break!
          Religion belongs in the church.

      • Alyssa

Government schools are soooo much better since we kicked out God. Make all the lame rationalizations you want, but anyone who is honest with themselves can see it.

You can blame a lot of it on no-fault divorce. Why would a man enter into a totally unenforceable contract? It’s hard to find a man on TV who is not a bumbling idiot or complete a**hole.

        • New Thomas Payne

“Government schools are soooo much better since we kicked out God. Make all the lame rationalizations you want, but anyone who is honest with themselves can see it.”

Sorry, but there is absolutely, emphatically, no way I could disagree with that statement more. One cannot see what does not exist, and these schools have not gotten one iota better since removal of morals and religious context from them. Quite the contrary, and this is the reason my child does not attend a government school. I do not know where you are keeping your head these days, but its time to put it back on your shoulders where it belongs, dust the sand off, clear the crust out, update your glasses prescription, or whatever is necessary to see again because if you believe these schools have improved then you are either completely deluded or a shill for government education.

    • Gay Veteran

“…Only 43 percent of all U.S. high school students knew that the Civil War was fought some time between 1850 and 1900….

and you want schools to teach basic moral behavior?!?!?!?

sorry, but schools can NOT replace parents

      • Scout Motto

“sorry, but schools can NOT replace parents”

Would you please tell the schools that? They seem to think otherwise, as does the rest of government.

      • Guido

They can’t even teach at this point. Dig deep and pay for the alternative.

    • BimBam

Only Christianity should be taught. We are a Christian nation. We allow other religions. But one religion in the world only allows itself so we cannot have that religion taught in school.

  • Sandman

I first stumbled on your websites about 2 months ago and have been an avid reader since. If anyone is wondering where we’re headed just watch the film “Idiocracy”.

    • Michael

I am glad you got hooked on the site. :) I hope you will feel free to comment often.

And yes, “Idiocracy” is a picture of where we are headed as a nation.

      • Chris

Where can I watch this video “Idiocracy”? I have never heard of it before. Thanks.

        • Michael

It is a movie that came out back in 2006. You can find it right here.

  • Brian

Yeah I guess you’d believe the United States is a bad scary place and getting worse if you watch Fox and other news stations all day. They don’t tell the good things that happen. Violent crime has been declining for decades!
Google and download “THE IMPACT OF LEGALIZED ABORTION ON CRIME” read that sweetheart:)

    • jaxon64

This is too funny…first of all, most of those here are against the Main Stream Media and readily recognize the filtered agendas that all main stream news sources ladel to the masses.

Secondly, are you locked in a closet somewhere? I SEE this everytime I go out. If it’s not kids cussing out their moms at the grocery store, then it’s evident in the graffiti and vandalism. The numbers don’t lie– burgeoning gang membership, explosion of teen pregnancies and STD’s, the sheer brutality and evil of these must be either living in Mayberry or a cacoon…AHHHH, I SEE IT NOW…..

You quoted Time magazine–the biggest ladeler of Koolaid and mega-media Pravda of them all. So if Time Warner’s bankster/owners tell their media underlings to print a story about how everything is a-okay and everything is getting better and better–you just slurp it down and then parrot their words off as fact. In your mind, anyone who doesn’t agree with MSM mind-screw is actually the one who has been manipulated.

The true numbers and facts don’t coincide with the spin that they’re feeding you Brian–do yourself a favor and RESEARCH instead of taking any of the MSM’s word on anything..thanks for the laugh though…Did the article also mention that leprechauns are passing out lollipops while you wait in line for a free unicorn ride in this Utopia that they conjured up?

      • Galen

HA HAAAA!! “leprechauns with lollipops”… That’s funny, jaxon64! And I have to say that as a conscientious American who is at least passingly familiar with the Constitution and Bill of Rights, AND who took enough journalism classes in high school and college to know the rights and duties of the “4th estate,” I can absolutely support your assertion that main-stream media has lost all pretense of objectivity.
There is no such thing any more as an objective political news story, and it could not be more apparent that virtually ALL news media are controlled and censored from behind-the-scenes. There will be no “Watergates” unless the controlling interests want there to be. Want an example? Look at how hard Obama et al, are trying to paint Mitt Romney as trying to “hide” his money offshore (without having any evidence, mind you), and how much airplay the media have given this silliness- but what about Obama’s ENTIRE HISTORY? It’s been boxed-up, sealed, and buried, and NO ONE is even questioning why, even though nobody can find any evidence or even any PEOPLE who can support Obama’s version of many of the events he claims happened (including his attendance at Columbia- no one from his class even remembers him!). Even if some industrious journalists were able to get the whole story, it’d never be printed, because they who control the media LOVE Obama.
In 1980, there were hundreds of news and media outlets in America. Today, there are SIX, who own or control every single news outlet in the USA. Why has this been allowed to happen? Why haven’t anti-trust laws prevented this?
The news story Brian refers to above only helps make my case; “crime has gone DOWN since abortion was legalized.” No! You don’t say! What a piece of non-information. That’s like legalizing marijuana, then writing an article saying “Drug arrests have gone down.” Hey, I know- why don’t we just legalize everything, and crime will just disappear! Then we could print in the paper that (at last!) we live in Utopia!

  • A.S.

By the time I was in middle school (1989), virtually 100% of kids would know the above named questions. I would bet there are similar results for basic math like, what is the square root of 144? Then you would have to tell them what square root means before you tell them what the answer is. Or, what is absolute zero? Or, Earth is which planet from the sun? Or, explain the difference between ‘then’ and ‘than.’ I bet you would see the same results.

So how can a nation of fat, drug addicted, sex addicted, lazy, immoral, idiots, compete with the rest of the world? The next generation will be even more ‘screwed.’ So I predict, if the Greatest Depression doesn’t come within the next 20 years due to Global Economic Collapse, it will come because our children who will think they should get everything, when in reality they deserve to get nothing, zip, zero.

  • DaytoDay

    Good article Michael.

It’s funny to see, that even cartoons have changed. I was thinking earlier today, of a cartoon (Can’t remember what it was) But there was a phrase and they said, “Yachety yach don’t talk back” lol I don’t know why, but it just popped in my head earlier…

And so, people need to keep in mind, when you turn on the TV today, kids are watching violence, sexual gestures/innuendo and hardcore death scenes, that would have caused outrage among society, 50 years ago.

Why is this happening? Well, the main reason is called social conditioning/engineering. A society divided, is easier to control. Think of it like this, when you have a society that will not only tolerate, but, accept virtually ANYTHING as good and acceptable, then you make people go along with and believe ANYTHING…

    It’s like this, 1950:

    * Religion in public schools

    * Censorship of Hollywood/TV

    * Smaller communities

    * Tradition and culture

    * Secular public schools

    * Hollywood/TV have been completely de-sensitized

    * Majority of people live in crowded cities (20k or more people)

    * Tradition and culture has been eroded to the point, that most Americans don’t know where they come from, their family history, and 50 percent of Americans can’t even find The U.S. on a map

And it goes on and on…

So, you want to make this nation great again? Then put God front and center again.

    • kenedra

The 50s were not that awesome! Have you forgotten lynchings, Ku Klux Clan, segregation, Civil Rights movement, feminism? God wasn’t even in the pledge of allegiance until the 1950s. Somehow they decided then that there shouldn’t be separation of church and state. People use God to push their agendas of hate and fear. Look up Native American boarding schools. No era was perfect, we’re all still fallible after all.

I definitely agree with all the Hollywood violence being a problem, but I got my first dose of soul crushing violence from the Bible itself.

“In the sunset of dissolution, everything is illuminated by the aura of nostalgia, even the guillotine.”
― Milan Kundera, The Unbearable Lightness Of Being

      • DaytoDay

        Kenedra, I agree.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have nostalgia for an age that I wasn’t apart of. The 1950’s were far from “paradise”, but, I think the difference is ignorance. See, I think that most people back then, were “afraid” of the black man, because they knew little about them and were TAUGHT that way. Also, for political and economic reasons.

However, you also have to remember, that the segregation laws, interracial marriage, women’s rights, etc… were all changed by the 1960’s (By the same ‘old school’ generation) so, what I’m saying is, say if nothing had changed up until now, I would not count on this generation, to be marching in the streets and demanding their rights. I think people tend to forget, that the only reason why things changed is because people FOUGHT for that change, society and the supreme court didn’t wake up one day and say, “Let’s give ALL people equal rights” NO… Far from it… The truth is that, history shows (In this country) that since it’s inception, protests, violence, and wars, have ALWAYS walked hand-in-hand with change.

      • MB92083

“In the sunset of dissolution, everything is illuminated by the aura of nostalgia, even the guillotine.”
Apples and oranges comparing the 50’s to the french revolution. Funny the only people who ever say the 50’s weren’t as bad as today are those blacks referencing segregation who are too young to even know what they’re saying. How can you be a victim growing up in affirmative action america from the 60’s on?

  • Winston Hackett

What’s wrong with kids today? Let’s consider how kids have been raised by Boomers and Gen X’ers the past 25 years:
    * Kids raised in Day Care from 2-3 months until they are old enough to stay home alone after school.
    * Both parents work 50+ hour work weeks with no time to spend with their kids.
    * 24/7 children’s programming on T.V. plus limitless video games for distraction.
    * Schools that label difficult kids as “Special Ed”, then let them advance to the next grade if they score only a fraction of the standardized test scores.
    * Parents that have no sense of civic responsibility and have lost touch with local communities via church, social organizations, etc.

If you raise them poorly without morals and values, they will turn out poorly without morals and values. Let us parents blame our (collective) selves first and foremost.

  • “So what is causing all of this?”

Though the pathetic nature of our government schools can be held accountable for the poor performance of many young people in academics one of the leading causes of breakdown in society in regards to young people might have a little to do with family size.

The generation that gave birth to the Baby Boom (1946 – 1964) came from families with, on average, about four children per family. In a large family, from birth children are taught to share both possessions and work within the family to promote the welfare of the family. Children learn cooperation with siblings in the division of labor for some chores.

The Baby Boom grew up in families of a little less than four children per family raised by parents that remembered the Great Depression and WWII.

The Baby Boom gave birth to the Baby Bump (1965 – 1985 or 1990) which grew up in families with, on average, less than three children. Less sharing, less working together, less cooperation. Those born in the 1980’s could be called the “Microwave Generation” in that they expect their food (and everything else) to be ready in minutes and they can become very distraught if they are forced to wait (ask anyone who works in “Fast food” service about the temper tantrums these folks throw when they are asked to “pull forward for a second”).

The Baby Bump is giving birth to the most pampered and narcissistic generation the world has ever seen, usually in groups of two or less, but in a serial fashion from one coupling of adults to a change of partners for the next batch so that there are families that rarely ever all live under the same roof at one time and are usually scattered across the country. The children are raised by TV and child-dominated daycares where they learn to, in an infantile fashion, “kill or be killed.”

And this generation is being indoctrinated into believing that each and every woman should only have one child in her lifetime. Ask the Chinese about the spoiled-rotten males they are forced to live with. The only good part about this is that the mass majority of this generation will be self-limiting and their behaviors, individually and collectively, will lead to their being removed from the general gene pool…

    • I disagree that that family “size,” really has a major difference. I only have two brothers, but one is much older then myself — I never really lived with my older brother, it was just me and my other brother. I came out well, and I have never really had a father figure in my life.

Many of my friends are only children and some of them don’t see their dad often either, like myself – and there seems nothing wrong with their behavior. The education system is definitely one of the roots to the problem.

      • “I disagree that that family “size,” really has a MAJOR difference.”

“…(O)ne of the leading causes of breakdown in society in regards to young people might have a LITTLE to do with family size.”

Where’s the disagreement?;) I definitely agree with you about the schools…

Actually I was referring to statistics, medians, and averages, while you are referring to a single case study which is that of your own life. Generalities are the usual rule of thumb but life often delivers exceptions to every rule. I’m glad that things are working out for you to your satisfaction.

“There are lies, damned lies, and then there are statistics.” Mark Twain

      • Tyler Baker

coming from the a rough life myself, i have to say that you’re only half right. just look at al the homosexuals, like boys that don’t have a good relationship is more then likely gonna turn out gay for that vary same reason. my point is that it all depends on depends on the child in question.

    • Bill

I was born in the early 80’s. It’s funny I see a lot of what you were referring to when you brought up about the “microwave generation.”

On the other hand, a lot of us in general believe in the Constitution more than our parents ever did and are reverent of individual liberty. Some examples are the second amendment right to bear arms, welfare, the role of government vis a vis the individual, taxes.

    • I forgot to mention the government policy of “Institutional Infantilization…”

…which is their attempt to leave us all suffering from “Peter Pan Syndrome”…

Strangely enough, maturity, both emotional and chronological, will once again become an asset for survival…

    • Encyclopediadramatica

Well, the post-war boom caused the baby boomers to be spoiled brats and more prosperity, growth made their descendents even worst.
The economic collapse and the third independence war may just allow for the exact opposite to happen.

  • i’vegivenup

AMERICAN kids are…for the most part…spoiled and have little respect for much of anything except their own self interests. This country is doomed because THEY are our future and the future looks very grim. I hate to imagine what it’s gonna be like in the next 10 to 20 years. One guess…UGLY…

  • YH

It looks like terrorism to me. American youth are the most heavily medicated and indulged children in the world. That fact combined with the utter and complete absence of discipline are, in my opinion, the root causes of the heinous behavior we see in the video. Once a society forgets how to discipline its children, there is no tomorrow for that society. Spare the rod and spoil the child.

  • joey zasa

So sad indeed. I see it all the time where I live. I see more young women driving around their loser boyfriends instead of the male driving the women around like it should be. I guess its not cool to have a car anymore, or a job, or not to have tattoos all over your body. I see more instances with women driving men around and these men are total losers. They all got the seat down way low like they are “gangsta” and wearin the flat brimmed hat with teh sticker still stuck on it. Ya, they are tough, probably never even handled a gun in their life.

Then when I see men escorting women around in their cars, its that indeed; a ford escort or some other piece of trash. Its funny, Im pulling out of the car show with my cammed 70 chevelle and this piece of trash car, all smashed up, blowin blue smoke out the exhaust, almost hits me. I look, sure enough, loser driving it with hot girl in the passenger seat.

You guessed it, I dont have a girl friend. They dont like me because I am nice, have a high IQ, graduated a good school, have cash in my pocket, a pro street truck and 70 chevelle, and a job. I remember my 70 year old buddy saying that the most popular kid he went to school with had the coolest car; a 57 bel air convertable. Everyday that kid would bring home 4 girls my buddy recalls. Back in the 90s when I was growing up, the 1970 chevelle was the car everyone wanted. I saved up years and bought one, but it seems like times have changed. Its like we live in bizzaroworld, everything is the exact opposite. I cant wait till the economy collapses, and my skills I have acquired over the last decade will not only help me survive, but thrive.

I read about this topic at various sources on line, but ‘monster teens’ are few and very far between where I live. I volunteer as a one on one tutor at two local elementary schools. I mostly work with 5-6 graders. I sit at the back of the classroom with a student who needs a bit of assistance to keep pace, stay focused, etc. The vast majority of kids are highly respectful of teachers and others adults. 80-90% of them could correctly answer questions about the basics of the Constitution, have a limited but accurate understanding of American historical events, and so forth.

I suspect the majority of ‘monster kids’ live in metro areas and there is no father around and perhaps a mother who does not work or has a low paying job. And, I would guess the overwhelming majority do not go to church and thus there is no larger community of adults/families to provide moral and even material support.

  • ZombieDawg

Socrates (circa 400BC) said the same about kids, so despite protestations that things weren’t like this in “the good old days”, the reality is there never were any good old days !
This is human nature and indeed part of evolution.
But Gen-U (for useless) is about to have the world’s problems thrust upon them and I think we all know they will have virtually no chance of resolving any of them, poor little nomophobic zombies that they are.

    • UrAldr

The reality and truth is that “Everything was better in the good old days”. This is contrary to our current corrupted understanding that we evolve to become better constantly (Darwins theory of evolution). The truth is that we are devolving and hence whatever we get in the future will always be worse than what it used to be. You seem to lack the historical context to understand this -yet.

  • Dave Webb

The system has broken down. Children Services Agencies step in if a child is punished physically. I have seen many a child ruined that way. The child typically pulls a knock-down, drag-out tantrum. Any one that tries to interfer is likely to get arrested. These are college-educated people that no nothing about raising a child. But they will tell us how to raise ours.
I have more bravo than sense sometimes. I was also born with angels protecting me. That is the only thing I can figure.
One of my children tried this temper tantrum in Kmart one day years ago. I turned him over my knee and spanked him. He was about 8 at the time. My wife was horrified. You will have Childrens Services coming here to get you, she said. Well, I dragged that kid crying his eyes out, out of the store into my car and I sat him in his car seat. Five minutes later he had quieted down. He never tried it again.
That child is 46 years old. He owns a business. He preaches as an assistant minister at his local church as a stand in for the minister some Sundays. He leads the choir. He graduated from the Navy Nuclear Submarine program. He has 3 children. The last graduated from high school this year.
I have 3 boys. All adults and all have made me a proud grandfather. I loved my boys. But to spare the spanking is to spoil the child. I do not spank babies. But somewhere around 4, children have to have guidance. Sometimes the only thing that motivates them is the idea that if I don’t do as I am told, it will cause me pain.
A man’s role in a family is that of provider, protector, leader, advisor, and shepherd. You want to know what has gone wrong? The devil invented psychology as a partial truth, partial lie. Then he gave it to government to tell everyone how to raise their children with psychology. Only the lies show through. Later in life the ones raised without discipline crash big time. The jails are full of them.
I also raised my children to believe in God. That makes a big difference in how they turn out a lot of the time.
My children were not unsupervised just because they were teens. A lot of the problem is the children have no parents from the time they get out of school until the time the parents get home from work at 5 or 6. By the time they get to be near adults, it is too late.
If they do not accept you as boss by the time they are 11 or 12, you have a rough road ahead of you. The children are too old to train most of the time.
Every home needs a strong leader to protect them against the evils of this world. These children you mentioned did not get that at school or at home. Most of all they need the care and attention of a loving set of parents.
Children left in front of an adult television that glorifies negative behavior will copy that person and that behavior. The first thing to change is to get rid of this entertainment off the television and movies. We are programming this behavior in our children with the environment they grow up in. One of which is negative heroism of criminals in our movies. Take a really good look at that entertainment. It is teaching your children to be criminals.

Why can’t you teach parenting classes? Start by doing it at a local community college that has many single moms.

  • Patriot

These 2 bullies need to have their asses kicked, and after they heal, another round of ass kicking is in order.

All the therapy bills should be sent to the parents of the bullies, and then the buliies parents should pay for the victim to enroll in Krav Maga classes if he is able.

    End of bullying,problem solved.

  • Started reading about a couple weeks ago. Am a daily reader now, honestly, besides BBC News (Middle-East) and some Biblical prophesy users on YouTube, this is where I know get my news from (I don’t watch TV). I am very scared for our generation and our world. I see the times discussed in 2 Timothy 3 coming to life before my very eyes. Lord please help us.

  • I’m 16 years old myself, and this article did not surprise me… Ironically, I live in Oklahoma. My generation is by far just… socially and morally corrupt, and not too mention a vast number of them are ignorant, cruel, and selfish – as this article notes.

I do believe that part of the problem is the lack of discipline that my generation has received. I have just been level-headed my whole life and thought things through unlike many others. Knowledge is definitely power.

The ROOT of this problem is the education system… Public schools allow other children to bully others, act crazed, with many faculty members not caring, or not acting upon the students’ actions until they must. I have gone through tons of bullying and peer pressure through school (more bullying then peer pressure (even some done by teachers, unbelievably)). We need to dismantle or reform the public education system.

School can DEFINITELY be a living hell — and I also feel sorry for the others that have to put up with this disastrous education system. I even believe I have learned more through research online and my own inquiring mind then from school.

    I fear for my generation.

    ~ Logan.

    • Guido

Logan, you offer a unique point of view. William Strauss and Neil Howe in 4th Turning and other books, notably Generations: The History of America’s Future, wrote that the Millenial Generation were something new-an energetic, respectful, citizenship generation who deviated from the Boomers and the Xers in their conformity, respect for authority, and teamwork. They were more hopeful than the past 3 generations for the future.

I am curious if your younger generation exhibits any of the good attributes of the Millenial generation?

I am also curious just what young people in highschool are thinking today about their future and the future of America?

Anyone else have firsthand knowledge of what the up-and-coming generation is thinking? Or are the freaks and thugs the norm?

      • FreedomForTheWorld

The problem is that too early in our lives we’re bombarded with so many trends and awful role models, so that by the time we reach our early teenage-hoods, we stop doing even an ounce of thinking and begin to be absorbed by the whole Hollywood party lifestyle! Most of us are just so excited for high school and college that by the time we get there, we’re no longer able to think for ourselves.

Maybe it’d help if we had more encouragement to read books and play sports then go on Facebook and learn new dances and fads.

Children are too busy trying to become college-kids than to enjoy their childhoods, and by the time we get to college, many of our brains are already too saturated with what we’re supposed to be like, as opposed to what we want to be like. Its not like we’re evil kids, it’s more like we think those things are what we should be doing to fit in. That’s the subliminal message so many show-biz stars pass on, and it takes root deep in our subconsciousness without our own knowledge.

The end-game of all this is that kids reach adult life spoilt by their youth, used to the good life and with no sense of responsibility, as well as the sole desire to make more money to feed our ravenous hunger for a fun and crazy lifestyle.

Society needs to take a step back and realize that it is being conditioned by something which has only nefarious motives for the entire human race, because if us kids of today are to be Presidents and CEOs in 20 years’ time, the entire human race is in trouble!

I’m 17, and I just think we should all be aware of that

    • badbrian

Logan, your post touched my heart, I am 60 years old and it was tough when I was growing up too. But I can’t imagine how bad it must be for you young folk who are right-hearted in a world saturated in evil. The only way that you will be able to preserve and grow the goodness that is within your self is to connect with the true God who made us this way. Sad to say most people do not recognize this need that we have to have God as a part of our lives ( share our lives with God ). You will be contacted by God’s people.

  • liberranter

The simplest answer to this article’s question is American parents (although it’s much more complex than that, there isn’t space here or time to get into the details). For at least the last two generations, Amerikan (so-called) adults have given up on being parents, just as they’ve given up on being responsible for any other aspect of their own lives and destinies. If the people of my generation (I’m 51 years old) and those who preceded me at the beginning of the Baby Boomer generation are observably and with few exceptions shallow, self-centered, Godless, amoral, violent, narcissistic a******s, then why would anyone with a single functioning brain cell believe that their children would grow up to be any different? Einstein’s definition of insanity certainly applies here.

No, folks, it’s not going to get any better – indeed, just the opposite. This country long ago passed the point of no return. The only vague hope for any of us with a shred of maturity, integrity, and human decency is that something resembling human civilization will arise out of the ashes of this country once what little remains of civilization disintegrtes and the apocalypse burns itself out. Let’s just hope enough of us survive to ensure a new beginning.

  • P.Wallace

If you take God out of Government, Schools, and all areas of life, you are left with evil running rampant without controls. If you allow the Government to pass legislation and to have powers that forbid spanking or correction of bad behavior, there are left no restraints. Morality cannot be taught by Government officials, or anyone else for that matter, who lie, cheat, steal, commit adultery, kill the innocent, engage in homosexuality, drink, smoke, do drugs (whether legal pharmaceuticals or illegal). Morality can only be taught by those who practice it. Kids cannot be brought into this world then be expected to fend for themselves in determining right from wrong. There has be guidance with moral principles. The same moral principles that used to be the governing factor in our government, schools and homes. Children are not stupid. They learn what by what they see and are taught and they do what comes naturally – they emulate that behavior. What parents need to acknowledge and realize is that when you decided to uncross your legs and engage in sex, thereby bringing a child into the world, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE! You are responsible not only for that child’s physical welfare, but their moral and spiritual welfare as well…and you can’t do that if you don’t take that responsibility to heart – beginning by being a good role model – without reproach.

NEVER confuse those IRS 501(C)3 corporations with actual New Testament churches. The former are faux churches that preach The Great National Religion (one that has nothing to do with biblical Christianity). The latter you’ll only find in someone’s basement or living room and then only if invited to join in.

      • Repentant

God is not in those Churches Gay Veteran, he was removed long ago as the megachurches swallowed up the bible believing Churches and as people sought to fulfill their desire for entertainment and self-gratification rather than worship the living God. Thanks liberranter, finally someone who gets it.

Every kid that I’ve hired I’ve had to fire even before their probationary period was over. It’s hard to get them to get off their phones, help their co-workers, or even do quality work. They roll their eyes at you when you talk to them, barely pay attention or have any respect for their employer whatsoever. I used to blame them when in reality the blame rest firmly on the parents. Here’s something that gives me hope that we are not all doomed!

These kids are disciplined, well behaved, goal oriented and dedicated. They basically give up their whole summer to tour the country practicing (about 12 hrs a day!), and competing against each other. And not only are they NOT getting paid, they have to pay to do it! So, if you need a little hope check out the link above or go to youtube and watch some of the performances.

Thank you Benjamin Spock for your nonsense. You screwed up one generation which has produced yet another generation that believes they’re “special” and “entitled” to their every whim. Wonder why we have such a high divorce rate, single parent families and dysfunctional families today?

Thanks should also be given to the Hollywood and the music industry for promoting violence and encouraging teen sex.

  • William

While waiting to get my driver’s license after relocating, I noticed that the young people there, either waiting with an adult, or waiting to get their license, were totally absorbed with playing with a smart phone, totally unaware of anything else. Some were yakking incessantly, talking about nothing important, while playing with their toy. While I am sure there are normal young people in America, I find that the number is few. Today’s youth have not a clue about life. They are abosrbed with achieving IGNORANCE and lack of ambition. If this is the future of America, we are DOOMED! These are the grandchildren of the Boomers. They are mostly WORTHLESS.

  • JanZizka

There is no escaping it either. Out here where I am at we are being inundated with people moving in to escape the cesspools they’ve created, some (like my boss) get it and truly have shaken the dust from their shoes in regards to their old existence. Unfortunately, he is the minority, most bring their little hellions and the asinine ideas that screwed up whatever dump they are fleeing with them. It literally does not compute for me how they behave, the blatant and constant disrespect to parents and pretty much anyone is mind blowing, and it leads logically to vandalism which just leads to further acts of violence and property destruction.

No surprise though, this is the agenda of the regressives and has been for quite some time.

  • Buzzy Watts

Kids are a bunch of animals because the electronic media raising them is loaded with the most revolting and dangerous propaganda. Really, the advertisements blasted at us from every corner are no different from any other kind of propaganda, only we’re not expected to notice that it’s propaganda because it doesn’t come directly from the government (only from the people who own it). Parents won’t contradict them because they have come to believe them themselves; the same with everyone else who might have once served as a source of common sense.

You are correct that the breakdown of the family is number one. When my daughter (who is 24) tells people that her parents are going on 25 yrs of marriage (we married at 18 & 20) well they are beyond shocked.

My two sons (18 & 16) so many of their friends parents are divorced, no father in the picture, never were married or being raised by grandparents. It’s heartbreaking.

A few wks ago when we took our sons on a short vacation we stopped at a local McDonalds & got to talking to the very pregant girl that was waiting on us. We asked her when she was due & that question prompted her to tell us she was not married but was living with the father of her baby.

She wanted to know if we were married & for how long. When my husband told her that we’ve been married almost 25 yrs & together 28 yrs to say she was shocked would be an understatement. She really wanted to know how we had made it that long together & I told her the secret, you put God 1st, spouse 2nd & then your kids. Well the thing that got me the most was she actually threw her head back in complete shock when I mentioned putting God 1st. I still can picture the look on her face when I said that. How sad!!! It was like a foreign concept to her & that’s not surprising is it these days?

One of my husband’s clients (who had met our boys) told us after observing them working & interacting w/their dad that our boys gave him hope for the future generation & we should be very proud of them, we are of course. :) His opinion of teens was not to favorable until he met our boys. I don’t tell you this to say that our boys are perfect & never do anything wrong, that would be a lie of course but that you are right not all kids are bad. I know several others who are very good kids. I thank God everyday I have good kids.

I also wanted to say thank you for taking what I am sure is a lot of time to do these articles. We need people like you. I post your articles on my facebook page everyday. I try to spread your message & warn people about what’s coming. Hopefully they’re listening!!!

Thank you so much for sharing these articles on Facebook. That is such a huge help in spreading these articles around. One of my goals is for these articles to be seen by those that are still “asleep”. If only the people that are already awake read them they won’t do nearly as much good. :)

    • Tyler Baker

they’re all good kids. it’s society and everything that goes on in it. i know this one girl who is smart, strong, beautiful, helpful, driven, and spiritual. you can’t see it much now. i don’t wanna make her look bad but i could right an essay on the stupid things she’s done. this was a girl that was raised as a christian, but fail prey to society, the media in-particular, the whole home-girl thing and deep. and i’m afraid of what has done to her, and will do. he’s gotten her thinking becoming Muslim. i’m scared for her. my advise to parents is not just give your kids lists of does and don’ts. take the time to talk about it with them earlier on. if you wait and let them see how people like rappers ”livin’ da live” they WILL imitate them. by then, they won’t wanna be reasoned with. like this pro marijuana and that whole ”use in moderation” non-since. there’s no such thing! but, seeing their idols doing it and how ”successful” their life is, they won’t care. talk to them before the media can get their hooks into them.

  • Unfortunately, systematic bullying of the weak by the strong is not a new phenomenon. When I was in grade school back in the 70’s in a rural district, there were two high school kids who made my bus ride a living hell every single day. And when I tried to tell adult authority figures what I was going through, I got nothing but hleppy useless responses along these general themes:

    1. It’s just part of life, just ignore it and it won’t hurt any more.

    2. You’re asking for it. Since you’re not willing to stop providing them with entertainment by becoming upset at it and egging them on, you must enjoy it, so stop complaining and be grateful for the privilege of getting it.

    3. I was teased unmercifully by X older kid when I was your age and I survived. In fact, it made me the strong, resilient adult I am today, so you should stop complaining and use it as a lesson in developing your ability to endure adversity that will serve you well in adult life.

And always there was the theme that the adult authority in question couldn’t do anything to stop it, that anything they did to intervene would only make the situation worse, so I needed to stop wanting to be rescued, to have happiness handed to me all wrapped up in a pretty bow, etc.

I did survive, after a fashion, but I’m one of the many people who are subtly damaged — I have difficulty trusting, I’m more likely to view incidents as deliberate cruelty rather than accidents, etc.

But the biggest problem in this country is the attitude that bullying is something that “just happens,” like the weather. We keep focusing on the victims and what we can do to change them to be less vulnerable, which sends the exact opposite message to what needs to be out there. Until we focus on changing bullies into non-bullies and making it clear that there is no excuse for bulling (no “they asked for it,” no “they’re egging the bully on,” etc), nothing will change at a substantive level.

  • Jaded Vision

And you still think this is all by accident, incompetence or neglect? The societal engineers/devolutionists at the RAND Corporation are snickering at your naivete, Michael. The rest of us are busy tapping our feet, wondering when you’re gonna wake up and make wiser use of your clarion calls.

Take away all of the computer games. cell phones, computers (except for certain school activities), and television and you would be surprised as to how the kids find something else to do. They will start doing their homework, go to the library since they don’t have a computer to look things up, start talking to each other face to face while learning how to make friends again, developing relationships that allow kids to learn how to deal with other people in positive ways. Hobbies will come back too. They may even lose some of the fat they put on. I also recommend the re-introduction of the, “Board of Education”. Going to church wouldn’t be a bad idea either.

When I was in junior high I got out of line. The teachers took me to the dreaded BOILER ROOM where I was given 3 good wacks with the wooden paddle. At home it would be the belt over my butt. It kept me on the right path. That is ONE tool that is missing in todays society.

American kids today are selfish, self-centered, sadistic, cruel, disrespectful, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, boastful, unforgiving, incredibly brutal and they possess very little self-control whatsoever.

Michael–this sounds like you are describing conservatives and their selfish ayn rand crap and the cult of “I”. Us progressives do not suffer from this narcissistic tendency and think in terms of “WE”. There is never the “I got mine screw you” that permeates conservatism.

Simply look at how many times the conservatives who post here use the word “I” and how often us few liberals post we use the word “WE” and almost never use the word “I”.

Speaking for myself using we is natural, no effort is needed to be made for me to do this. I suspect this is the same for conservatives using “I”.

What would you expect of kids being raised in this conservative selfish tea party climate but to turn out this way and to be so self centered.

  • Pastor Glenn

It does not have to be that way for children and youth.

I know of a group in my local area whose children are intelligent, able to function amongst adults (though they are still children), have the best SAT scores in the state, don’t get themselves into jail or pregnant and who enjoy their innocence and lives.

The Mennonite kids have all of this because their parents love them enough to ensure they are schooled in a 1-room school house at church; the kids see their parents putting their community of Christian brethren ahead of the ‘world’ (i.e. they live as if church is their lives, instead of 1 hour time “carved out of their real lives”).

These kids are easily the only truly well adjusted youth I know, and their parents are too.

Following the teachings of Jesus Christ is the beginning of a journey which we all should be capable of doing.

In our non-Mennonite church, we have a few children who are under the spell of the world because their parents are – and it is painful to compare. Yet if one tries to gently instruct the parents, it simply causes them to leave church and find “more understanding Pastors” in many cases.

As always, Michael, a well written article.

    • A.S.

Part of the problem is people like Gay Veteran, who want to instill beliefs into society that being gay is OK and it does absolutely no harm to children whatsoever. If you or anyone knows who this Gay Veteran is, if he is Jewish send him to Chabad; if he is non-Jewish, invite him into your church.

      • Pastor Glenn

Yes, A.S., I could have easily included some of the devout Jewish kids in my description of the Mennonite kids, could I not?

The past is always look upon as better. I never heard stories about seniors in the 60’s and 70’s and 80’s bring paddles to schools and hitting freshman. In the 80’s and 90’s when I went to school, you never heard of kids walking into a school with guns and shooting up the place, or homosexuals being beaten until they commit suicide. You are right. Today’s kids are the bad ones.

  • Scout Motto

While there are many true facets to this article and what kids are today, I can’t say bullying is any different than when I was a kid. I was not a strong kid at all, emotionally or mentally, and I had to deal with cruelty quite often. I heard some reprehensible insults that back then should have got a kid smacked for saying such things. Not a pity party for me, just stating it as it was. It felt like I had twenty enemies every day. Bullying today doesn’t strike me as any different than back in the 70s, but I’m open to different opinions on that. I’m just drawing from my experiences.

  • It’s ok to drop the ball now and then. On the ball-feild or maybe at work ? Even husband, drop a girl now and then ? But what about the kid standing there ? He is your’s, right, thought so ! So here’s the thing, are you going to be a dad ? Come-on now, listen-up, I got things to do ! Now look, Obama is a Bum, we know that, but do you have to be one too ? I want you to listen to me. Watch me, study me but most importain, listen to me !! Listen, Learn, Lead !, My Motto ! Say it a few time’s. Listen, Learn,Lead ! Sounds good don’t it, of couse it does. So back to the kid, yours, Right. Of couse, now let me asked you a question, have you got a job ? For most, no, you live with your folk’s ! Maybe a grandma & Grandpa. What ever the case me be, listen-up, man-up. You know be a man ! So with that, call your kid now, while their on your mind !

You guys ought to look into John Taylor Gatto. He wrote the book on the American public school system (Read it free of charge here!), having taught in it for 30 years before quitting in disgust. He researched it and used the teacher materials given to him by the Dept of Education to arrive at this simple fact:

The goal of the US public school system is not to make your children smart. The goal is to make your children smart enough to work for someone else. (That someone is probably the privately educated kids of our elite.)

This has been the goal since the progressives took over education a century ago and worked with industrialists, like Rockefeller, who funded education big-time.

They don’t want you to be able to figure it out; they want you to be able to figure out how to make change for a dollar.

    Adolph Hitler once wrote;

“I want to create a generation that is cruel and harsh and without remorse.” He should have waited a while and watched how we are doing it. It’s simple: Give them everything they want, Give a trophy to the winners and the losers, Treat them as if they can do no wrong, Over-parent – Over protect, Spare the rod and spoil the child and harshly criticize anyone who disciplines, Let them have their way no matter how much it hurts, Do everything you can to be their friend rather than their parents, Make sure a Daddy is never around, etc… Could go on.

    Good evening.

  • Sadly, there is nothing surprising about this story anymore …

While it is partially true that every generation worries about the next, the real statistics PROVE that things are worse now!

Society is in breach of duty to youth. Youth rightly feels less and less duty to society as a whole. The basic reasons are simple. American reality is the result of the runaway triumphs of FRAUD BEING KING.

The vast majority of young, poor people inherit nothing but impossible to repay public debt. They are born into an almost inconceivably crazy and corrupt privatized money-as-debt system. The younger they are, the more they are being lied to, cheated, and robbed by the political system that they were born into.

Huge lies, backed by violence, have totally taken control of the government of the USA at the highest level. Absolutely everywhere one looks, one will discover again and again that we are on paths where short-term gains for a few were maximized, while, at the same time, long-term costs for everyone else were also being maximized. There was round after round, after round, of privatization of the profits, and socialization of the losses. For a tiny minority of young people that stand to inherit substantial wealth, that might not be so bad for them. However, for the vast majority of young people (and even more for those who are not yet born, given current trends) they have NO REASONABLE HOPE. Of course, youth is enabled to maintain irrational hope better than older people. However, objectively, there is no reason to believe that Americans have any reasonable hope for a better future. While there are plenty of creative alternatives which are possible, and, with political miracles, America could be transformed into something radically different, that had a better future, the problem is that such political miracles are extremely improbable, by their very nature.

The established systems are a runaway fascist plutocracy juggernaut. Every aspect of education and public health in America has been destroyed by the same behind-the-scenes funding as the central political issues already were. Basic food and drug issues were extremely distorted, so that selling junk at high prices, through a fantasy culture, is now standard for most youths, who probably have no way to learn about, nor practice, any better nutrition. The pharmaceutical industry is another obviously, overwhelming corrupt influence upon American youth. All combined, most young American have no reasonable opportunities to build a good brain, which maintains a good consciousness. Their bodies and minds are systematically poisoned and polluted by the knock on effects of triumphant frauds, which have paid for the best professional brainwashing that money could buy to misinform them.

Generation after generation, more and more Americans became political idiots that acted like brain dead sheep, that allowed themselves to be deceived, and thus, their lives deteriorated, and the lives of their children, and their children’s children were damaged and damned even more!

Without a miraculous Second American Revolution, which must become an awesomely and astronomically amplified Intellectual Renaissance, then the vicious spirals on down and down have no even in sight … The profound problem is that after enough people were already damaged so badly, there appears no realistic way for them to recover in time. The evils have been carved into their flesh, as illnesses, which could be treated, but are in Catch 22 situations, where the treatments are more likely to contribute to the diseases, rather than assist with recovery. After society as a whole gets sick enough, it appears to become a terminal illness, with only miracle cures left to save it?

Behind the mental and physical health issues, the real statistics show a runaway debt slavery, becoming debt insanity, due to the best organized criminals taking control of the American government. At first, that was not so bad. Exponential growth of debts, or anything else, does not look so bad at its beginning. However, by the 1970s the ridiculousness of that runaway of plutocratic fraudulence became clearer. Since then, America has been on a nearly perfect mathematical match to exponential growth of debt slavery, which recently has crossed the border into debt insanity.

The baby boomers have lived through that process, and were not able to prevent it. Their children and children’s children are now stuck inside of the actually manifesting debt insanity all around them. Everything driven by that Triumph of Fraud reverberates throughout every aspect of American culture. Fraud is now totally triumphant through agribusiness, and medicine, and so on, with consequences that are destroying American youth, since the triumph of LIES becomes incoherent and terrible nightmares.

There is no realistic way to stop the decline and fall of the American Empire of Deceits now … we can only hope to resist how bad it gets, and perhaps to recover sooner and better.

There is no doubt that there are plenty of creative alternatives. However, it would take political miracles for enough radical truth to break through the triumph of lies, for those things to become possible to implement. As long as we are stuck inside of the insanely corrupt, but yet well-established, privatized money-as-debt systems, then America must continue to be destroyed, and the younger those Americans are, the worse that will be for them!

One solution is to love your kids.

The other is to teach responsibility, which is a very hard thing to do when the kids see the criminal psychopath elites get away with massive fraud, murder, and mayhem and decide that those behaviors are worth emulating…since they can’t rob bank depositors of trillions like the elites, maybe a flash mob, knock-em-down, a good rape, or bullying a mentally challenged kid will do.

It isn’t enough to blame the parents or teachers. At the root of it all is that kids today emulate the criminal psychopath elites.

We are instructed in the Holy Scriptures to RULE our children. My son has rules. I have brought him up in the fear and admonition of the Lord, even tho He has gone through a short peroid of rebellion, the rules never changed. He is back on track now because I trusted the wise council of Gods word

Great article, Michael! To observe the downfall of our society firsthand, all one has to do is go spend some time at Walmart on a Saturday afternoon and evening. I worked there for 9 years in the Food Center, I finally quit in ’07 because I couldn’t bear it any longer.
I realize that most sane people would rather take an acid bath than spend any significant time at Walmart, but it is the best way to see how a large percentage of people under age 30 or even 40 are behaving. It is a very grim experience, even for a little while…imagine working there 40 hours a week. The things that I saw there were beyond belief.
Go on, try it…meander around, follow a few family through their shopping trip. Listen to the ignorant comments, see the rude behavior, the total lack of respect for other people and for merchandise that doesn’t belong to them. Watch how the parents let their kids run wild… let them ride under the cart with their heads dragging on the floor…or let their toddler stand up in the top part of the basket. See moms give their kids bags of snacks to devour and discard at their whim, on the floor. Listen to the foul language spewing from the mouths of everyone in the family, right down to the 5 year old. See a young mother screaming curses at her infant daughter in an attempt to get the baby to stop crying. See the young father talking on his cell phone while his 3 year old boy is climbing a produce display and throwing fruit at people. See people at the registers abusing the cashiers because they know that they can say anything they want to and get away with it. Watch them in the parking lot, shoving their empty cart into the car next to them…even though the cart coral is a few feet away.
You can observe the kids learning from their parents…how to be selfish, oaffish, uncaring, disrespectful, impatient, intolerant…the list goes on for miles.
I saw tens of thousands of unnaceptable incidents at Walmart. And the incidents got progressively worse and more frequent as the years passed.
I wonder what the children of these children will be like..?
My love for customer service and helping people has not died, but my hope for the future of our young citizens has. How are the small percentage of great kids going to be able to deal with their sub-par peers?

    • Rose

I have seen this same behavior in our local Walamrt as well. I rarely go in there anymore because I am so disgusted by what I see. I also live near a community college and a university so going to any public place is a challenge because these so called young adults are so rude, knocking into you with their shopping carts with out an “excuse me” or “sorry”, constantly dropping the F Bomb to their friends while in line at the grocery store and they think the parking lot is a place to practice demolition derby with their shopping carts and their vehicles. Going to any local resteruant is a challenge because they are loud, vulgar, and downright crude. I once met my husband at a local eatery after a hard 12 hour shift at the hospital where I work hoping to relax over a good meal. We are seated next to a table full of young people constantly swearing and taking turns farting and throwing chips at each other. Needless to say, I complained to the waiter and some at the loud table heard me and if looks could kill…. we ended up leaving.
I agree that schools are a big part of the problem but lets face it it really starts with the parents or should I say a lack there of.
And let me go a little further in saying I see this in the work place as well. I went in to nursing with a desire to serve and help others. 34 years ago that was the universal reason to become a nurse. Now, I constantly hear from the nursing students and new grads “me,me, me” Now its all about “what can this profession do for me, what kind of perks can I get” versus serving humanity. And they disrespect the older, more experienced nurses and many are downright lazy. It makes me very sad to see it.

  • Joe

Our kids are being taught that there is no objective truth or moral absolutes and their parents are too apathetic and selfish to care. Without moral absolutes the only reason for living is self indulgence.

There seems to be very few men in America today. Plenty of males, few men. Men with a sense of responsibilty to support their families above their own indulgences. Men with the courage to dicipline their children and stand up to the socialist school systems when their children are attacked for their beliefs.

Religous institutions have abandoned moral absolutes in favor of cheap grace and how to manipulate God in order to satisfy your indulgences. And so we arrive at the crux.

As we degenerate, God withdraws common grace and degeneration accelerates culminating in the destruction of the society. It is “God’s wrath being revealed”. God gives us over to sinful desires resulting in destruction both worldly and eternaly.

    • Tyler Baker

i disagree. as humans, god gave us free will. it is up to US to use it responsibly. just because bad things happen does not mean it is and act of god. to prove my point, imagine this scenario between a father and son: this boy, he ran with a rowdy crowd. so one day the father tells the son: if you continue hanging around with those people, then you will get into trouble. but as most children, he just brushes it off. so one day, him and his ”friends” are smoking weed and the cops come and arrests the son. now the father predicted what would happen if the son didn’t stop ganging with those people, that he would get in trouble. but is what happened to the sonthe father’s fault or the son’s?

      • Anthony Coyle

is smoking weed really such a bad thing? :P

      • senseblogger youtube

sons fault ………. free will he got into trouble.
and to you Anthony i have rel;atives in laws who been smoking weed for decades they are nimbicles now in late 50’s so puffing weed is bad.

This is not the complete list; it was taken from the 45 Communist goals that found their way down the halls of our great Capitol back in 1963.

Communist Goals (1963) Congressional Record–Appendix, pp. A34-A35 January 10, 1963 Current Communist Goals EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES Thursday, January 10, 1963 .

    3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

    15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

    26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

(Leviticus 20:13If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.)

    27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch.”
    30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”
    31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

    36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
    37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

Luke 10:18And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
In ancient Hebrew the word for lightning is barack, the word for heaven or the
heights is bama and to connect the words either an “a” or an “o” is used.

Political Correctness a term first seen in Mao’s Little Red Book, a communist engendered abomination that is instituting censorship little by little.

In ancient Babylon their economy was based on usury.
“If you lend money to one of my people among you who is needy, do not be like a moneylender; charge him no interest. Exodus 22:25
Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him. Ezekiel 18:13
Usury is unlawful; expressly prohibited by GOD!
Article 1 Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution clearly states that only the Congress can print and coin money!

The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 was slipped thru congress during the Christmas break with the majority of it’s members absent.

The Federal Reserve is self serving and privately owned in violation to the Constitution, charging interest on illegally printed money. Money printed from nothing!
In America On June 4, 1963, a virtually unknown Presidential decree, Executive Order 11110, was signed with the authority to basically strip the Federal Reserve Bank of its power to loan money to the United States Federal Government at interest. With the stroke of a pen, President Kennedy declared that the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank would soon be out of business. Five months later A UNITED STATES PRESIDENT, PRESIDENT JOHN F. KENNEDY was MURDERED BY COMMUNIST!

Our own US Congress voted themselves a raise. (But vetoed a raise for those on Social Security) A member of Congress only have to be in Congress one time to receive a pension that is more than $15,000 per month. And most are now equal to being millionaires plus.  If some one in the military stays  in for 20 years (providing that they are not killed in combat before that) and gets out as an E-7, they may receive a pension of $2,000 per month, and the very people who placed them in harm’s way receives a pension of $15,000 per month.

The debt added by the previous 43 U.S. Presidents from 1789 through 2002 combined was
       $6.3 trillion

The debt added by Obama is

    Leviticus 20:2-5
2Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel , Whosoever he be of the children of Israel , or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel , that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.
3And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.
4And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not:
5Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.
Luke 22:35-36 Then Jesus asked them, “When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” “Nothing,” they answered. 36 He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.

well i remember being disciplined. now you can’t discipline a child without getting social services called on you. i’m not talking about beating the crap outof a child being ok. i’m talking bout the belt, a wooden spoon, spanking, a slap in the face. these ridiculous modern parenting techiques is crap and it doesnt work. my friend gives her kid a time out and he says ‘yay. i love timeout.” or she threatens to take his toys away andhe says “that’s ok, i dont play with em anyway.”

    • rebecca

yeah so then what happens after that cause i’d be okay you well if you don’t play with your toys you don’t need them so i can sell them. when i was a child my mother would struggle with getting me to clean my toys in my room i asn’t given enough incentive to appreciate my toys so one day she say’s to me i thikn i was 8 or 9 “if you don’t clean this room anything i find on the floor is going in the trash.” yeah right she’s not going to trhow away my toys she paid for all that money no way. well i was wrong the next time she wwalked psat my door she looked and walked toward the kitchen the look on her face i got up and farnticly started cleaning but it was too late. she came in with a trash bag and whatever was left on the floor despite my pleas and crying went into that trash bag. she says to me mid plea ” you better clean what you can instead of begging you know begging doesn’t work” i watched her carry my toys out to the trach and put it in the can. i cleaned my room everytime she asked after that i wasn’t dumb enough to test her until i was a teen again and it only took one time then as well. i may have gotten my toys back a couple months later but seeing her throw them in the trash did the trick.

  • I believe these things really start in the home, but need to be reinforced in the environment. There are a lot of problems people are having raising their own children, and most are simply not fit to raise another human being. How do we change that?

I’m only sixteen so I know the last person you want to hear from is me. I would like to say that while a lot of these claims are true, maybe some of the kids would try to do better if they weren’t criticized so harshly. It’s difficult to keep a positive attitude and do your best to succeed if you constantly hear about how your generation is “useless.” No one wants to hear that. Do you know how it feels to have older people constantly look down on you and your peers and then have those same people expect for you to grow up and work miracles on the messes that they created? I’m not implying that everyone should love us just because, i do believe that we should work to earn our respect. But some of us need more parenting and attention. My mother and grandmother raised me well, and they weren’t afraid to punish me either. I think that maybe if we received more positive attention rather than negative, we could have just a little bit more motivation.

    • Anon

Your 100% correct here. The children of tomorrow are what the older generations make them. If one is called a monster long enough, one will become one. The children of the world are miserable delinquents because YOU call them miserable little delinquents.

      • Jennifer C

        Hear hear! Perception becomes reality.

    • rebecca

you have the choice to belive what you are told and then follow those instructions and you also have the very same choice to dig inyour heels and prove your haters wrong. my own parent has told me i’m worthless my whole life but i decided i am not, so i am not worthless to me. you are young but not dumb and will experience much with in the next ten years. the best thing i can tell you is kno that not matter what happens or is said to you your reaction to these things is YOUR choice alone. and ys i do every generation has had the one before them think they are useless and your will do it to one after it. they don’t expect you to work miracles on the mess they created they want you to do better than they did and not have a mess of your own one day. many people are so worried about their feelings when youre at school to learn the teacher only has to teach you it’s not their job to be nice and frankly it’s your job to learn regardless. school couselors seem to be pretty cheery they’ll give you a good pep talk. and while i think people take it overboard these days positive reinforcement is a good tactic can’t argue with that. but maybe we should lose this mentality of “where’s the incentive?” should you just do everything to your best ability and to hell with everyone else. seriously on the real if you do your very best i mean blood sweat and tears no can nay say you and hell you’ll be doing so well you won’t care what they say. some ppl could be giving constructive criticism trying to help someone younger and i’ve sen it many time the pupil gets offended because the teacher didn’t profess he’s magnificence and then the teacher is an asshole the kid gets his feelings hurt cause he can’t take the truth. i’m not saying this alays the case but i see it alot. i see it with adults as well you tell them this could help improve what they did or are trying to do and they think you are bossing them or think they are incapapble when you’re just being helpful. so first if you ever notice yourself or a friend doing this ( i used to) ask yourself why would this person tell me this is it to be a jerk cause they’re a hater or is it to help me do it better next time i try? ssl

      • Michael Hurlburt

Yes, you can say that, but what happens when you just can’t take it anymore, and you break down? What if you become suicidal or depressed, or worse? What do you do when you have nothing to cherish except for your own messed up self?

  • Captain LB

Keep religion out of this. Basic morality has nothing to do with religion.

It’s the cell phones which are destroying the minds of the young. Not just their obsession with the things but the slow-microwaving of their brains. I’ve literally seen youngsters swaying and shaking uncontrollably after yapping away or texting constantly with them. The radiation affects the Brain.

    • Lisa

Agreed that social media and technology have a slight hand here, but let’s be clear…….religion VERY much has everything to do with ‘BASIC MORALITY’ –

      • rebecca

i think he’s trying to say you can have morals without religion. but you can’t hve religion without it’s morals so the two generally do go hand in hand. but i do agree you can lack faith and still have morals.

        • Excalibur

But has it never occurred to you that the only reason the irreligious have any morals is because of the social influence of religion and the religious. Indirect proof of this is how the decline of morality has gone hand in hand with the decline in Christianity at the hands of a self-appointed of ew-Jay Master Race ruling class over media and money who hate Christianity. Their all-pervading influence is why you too hate it now, while defending any and all ew-Jays to the death, no matter how wicked they may be, like they’re your own grandmother — and in your own mind right now jumping all over me as “anti-semitic”, without even pausing to ask yourself whether it’s true or not. (It’s absolutely true; ew-Jays are easily 90+ % of ALL brainwash-media moguls and trillions-thieving bailout banksters.) They have convinced you that resistance to them is the worst of all sins, when it isn’t necessarily a sin at all. Yeah, I know, the inevitable Hitler. But why did he become anti-semitic in the first place? He wasn’t born that way, nor did his family teach it to him. He too was an anti-Christian occultist behind the scenes BTW. Could that be why he descended to hellish methods like his own rival Aryan ideology, not the mere fact of being against the original Master Racists? — a very strictly forbidden thought in America today (but ask yourself why? just once in your miserable existence). You really think these horrifying statistics on divorce, unwed motherhood etc. have been happening so uniquely to the US by chance? How stupid can you get? It’s OBVIOUSLY being pushed by someone, and that someone has OBVIOUSLY been targeting the Christian religion. The results are now manifest everywhere, but equally manifest is that your historically ignorant conjectures about how moral atheists supposedly are, are just so many excuses for your own ingrained anti-Christian bias, which you are now so brainwashed as to be incapable of questioning.

Kids today are exposed to poisen.
In their water is fluoride – incredibly toxic – more poisonous than lead and only slightly less poisonous than arsenic
Their food is GMO – Monsanto’s GMO corn that was recently linked to tumor development and organ damage in rats.
In their soda and most other diieet products is Aspartame – New Study Shows Aspartame Damages Your Brain.
They get far to many vassinations.
They are test subjects – OxyContin;is a heavy duty narcotic painkiller, highly addictive. So addictive, in fact, that it is said to lead people to using heroin in order to get a cheaper high when their budget can’t keep up with their Oxycontin habit. They’ve decided to test the drug on children as young as six years old.
All of this have an effect on their bodies – The little girls who reach puberty as young as six.

It is really disturbing. The other day, near where I live, two teenage psychos locked a 90 year old woman in the trunk of her car and left it in a graveyard….

  • I find the subject more interesting to think what today’s children will be saying about their children’s children in the next thirty years from now.

  • Sanito

Clearly it’s the fault of the schooling that results in the ignorance of all these kids, they’re not gonna teach themselves a lot of these things. It’s the older generation that are to blame. A downwards spiral.

  • Leo

The article completely misses the point. These are the repercussions of economic collapse, and the social collapse that followed after it is a response to that. Cause and effect. Today’s America does not have the standard of living it used to have, that is why expectations are high for things to go back to how they were. It’s a common phenomenon that in times of hardship the general behavior of its population will reflect the social downfall.

    • Wallace B. Souza

“It’s a common phenomenon that in times of hardship the general behavior of its population will reflect the social downfall.”

Utterly wrong, Leo… I live in Brazil, a country with a great number of poor people.. Surely the economic crisis can account for many of the social problems, but this is only due to the fact that the countries has become money-worshiper capitalists…

Richness prioritized in the first place is the cause of such a doom during economic troubles, because I know many humble, poor people that keep being excellent persons even in severe misery, privation…

So, if people learned not to extol money above anything else, we would not face horrible things like the article shows any more…

Oh my God, get out of my head! Lol, viva la private schools. Honestly, though it’s only a small bit the kids faults! It’s OURS! Noone teaches kid any more. I remember doing many many things with my father. As andbecause of that I can build, fix, or modify almost anything. Point is, if parents don’t take the time to teach them, someone will!

The society you think your kids live in is innocent compared to what we know it as – Generation Z

  • Wallace B. Souza

I’m simply speechless for seeing the way the society is turning into, day by day, not only in USA, but here on Brazil and anywhere else..

It’s a sick trend, and it’s even further pitiful when we realize that this is caused by nothing but the deviation from God’s laws, the Gospels… I wish it very much, but we can be sure that this evil wave is not going to go away, it has come to stay…

A lot of very good people in America have just given up on trying to live a decent family life. the liberals, teachers, government and entainment, religious personal law enforcement, federal courts and others, who are hell bent on wrecking our society The average midcountry American feels helpless against these groups. They honesty dont know what to do

How can a private school solve the ills you described? It can’t unless it’s only for the elite rich or the kids with no problems. The the public schools will disintegrate further if the “good” kids are segregated and the problems left just in the public schools. Behavior problems are increasing very quickly in all schools and it’s not because of the teachers.. It’s part lack of parenting, but it also could be something in our food (chemical dyes for example), or in our air or clothing. Something is happening, and it is accelerating. I work in several schools and see it every day – kids screaming, kicking, running out of the room. There have always been bad parents…this is something else and needs to be investigated with all we’ve got.

The Government is turning America away from God. The music and television our children watch is really destroying their minds. We as adults should take away everything that has technology from the kids and only allow them to read a book. Stop being soft on the children. Rise up and take control of them right now instead of letting them run you over. Make them go to church and read and study the Bible because you as parents will be judged for their sins.

I really enjoyed reading your article Michael and I will even cite it in an academic paper. But, I find your example given on video games to be improper. I believe video games are one of the few things that actually make kids smarted nowadays (maybe depending on the variety of video games). (You should make an article on that!!) Anyway, I’m a straight A male and I spend like half of my waking life either playing video games or watching movies/anime. I think entertainment can be really positive. The problem is perhaps on how can people control themselves, and perhaps this is something that should be address early in childhood…

How come you don’t say at what age BOYS lose their virginity? Or is virginity only required of GIRLS? Sounds like you’re living in the past, in the good ol’ days of male chauvenism. And instead of eliminating public schools, which are one of the bases of democracy, why not improve them? Take the curriculum back to the classical style which schools taught when I grew up in the 50s. And why not improve the economy so that a family can survive on one income so that one parent can stay home with the kids? It has nothing to do with the government and everything to do with the Teapublicans who have worked so hard a dumbing-down society becuase their goal is a society of dumbe-down people who are easily brainwashed and manipulated. They don’t want educated people – except for the rich. They want a two-tier society with the ultra-rich running everything and everyone else serving as their slaves. Before people will willingly become slaves, they must be made stupid, unable to think, and easy to brainwash and control. Hence, the destruction of public schools. All part of the grand plan of the right. Public schools, as I said, serve as one base of democracy, because everyone is accepted. Not so with charter schools; charter schools can pick and choose and are not required to accept the learning-disabled, or the physically-disabled. They consider such students to be worthless and not worth bothering about. Many charter schools do much worse than public schools when it comes to really educating students. Get rid of the never-ending tests, get rid of the teaching to the test, and get back to a classical education in the public schools, and you will see such an improvement in students and their behavior.

If only people could wake up and realize it’s the Jews doing this to them they could stop the Jews and kick them out of the country as has been done over 200 times in the last 2,000 years in every country in Europe. But people aren’t going to wake up and realize this and so the Jews win and they take everything from you including your own soul. There is a reason why Christ said the Jews are going to Hell, and it’s a good reason. But you cannot speak badly about Jews in the USA and so nobody is ever going to wake up and even if they did they don’t have the balls to do anything about it. Therefore the USA and indeed the entire world is going to come to an end, and it’s Christ himself who is going to initiate it, thank God for that.

I think they are lazy, stupid and ignorant worthless wandering souls, feeding off those that have decided to live according to the laws of society. These scumbag kids deserve what they will get – which is NOTHING. Why? Because by the time they grow up Social welfare won’t be there for them – it will have become unaffordable for government to give it to them. They will have to live on the streets as so many of them do already. Pimps and Whores is what they’ll become to help feed the desires and needs of the next generation – all thanks to the Republican Ignorance in passing laws that have made the rich wealthy and the rest of us WHORES.

  • Jacob Eagleshield

What can you expect from a generation that thinks stupid is ‘cool
.Dress like dumpstter divers, wannabe gang bangers,or four dollar street walkers. Can’t put a complete sentence together without dropping an F bomb,or saying,’like,y’know, okay, umh, well, what ever,or yo dude.’ Can’t add tree plus two, plus eight without their ‘kakilater’.
Think Ronald Regan was our first President,FBI is a rock group, can’t name the Vice President of the United States, think New Mexico is a foreign country, have the social skills of fruit flies, and the manners of sewer rats, and they get winded walking twenty yards to the mail box.
Whine and cry about our political system, but refuse to vote.

  • Gigi

You create what you think…..these kids need support, people who care about them and their development. If there’s a complaint it’s good to also include a solution.

  • K.S. Omnipotence

Unfortunately, as I mentioned in a different article titled the execrable, gruesome “Knockout Game”, that I seem to be in this microscopic virtual bubble of WELL-behaved teenagers/children (13-19 & 3-12). I am only a fourteen-year-old, so the adult commentators most certainly won’t desire to hear from me. No I am not being pompous and provocative. I do believe that is partly due to the parents. In fact, that may be the elephant in the room. This is so because some parents appear to be to lenient and lax about their children’s decisions. A lot of the influence that makes habits, at earlier development stages, is derived from parents.
Yes, the VAST MAJORITY of children are ignorant/feeble-minded. I am not, in any way, trying to be ostentatious or offensive to other people, but my intelligence quotient is at least 125. I find it easier for some inexplicable reason, to build friendships with people with a higher functioning (in a cognitive manner) brain. I find it difficult to develop relations with a “dimwit” or idiot (sorry for the archaic term). In essence, I detest the loathsome imbeciles who wreak havoc and chaos on the streets (or anywhere else) of this fallen world.

I know I’m only 15, but please hear me out. I am only 15 and I have even seen a decline between my generation and the younger generations! I wholeheartedly blame a lack of parent involvement with technology as the substitute. I have a friend who has two doctor parents and 4 children. Every year or so they have a fall party. Well, the youngest is 5 and at this party there was a bouncy house full of children. And he was… playing on a phone. I was aghast. Also, I don’t know how many young kids I have heard making crude or violent jokes. I heard a little 4th grade girl talking about what if she was a Russian spy!!! And 5th grade boy on the school bus, who recently got a phone, sent a text message with a gun pointing at the American flag. Our bus driver did seriously get on to him, so yay!
I think TV and media these days have a huge impact on the kids. It has evolved from even when I was a kid. What happened to the Wiggles, Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, Blues Clues, and Scooby-Doo? I’m sorry, but Peppa Pig is dumb. There were little lessons in the cartoons I watched, but today’s are mindless. Also, the difference in personalities of teens who watch different types of shows in movies is phenomenal. I am a fan of the old shows and movies. Green Acres, Gilligan’s Island, and I Love Lucy all the way!!! And my favorite modern show is Duck Dynasty. I only get on youtube for certain music videos and to watch old shows (Carol Burnette and Gomer Pyle!) The kids that watch the stupid stuff on youtube are often crude and talk about dumb stuff.
I might be old-fashioned but isn’t it a no-no to tell dirty jokes in the presence of girls and curse up a storm?

Don’t blame it on education. Education is an INVESTMENT for society – meaning that you get out of it what you put in. Many parents today are not doing their jobs as parents (and are probably afraid to considering CPS doesn’t swoop in enough for suspected neglect and molestation cases but they will swoop in if you touch one hair on a kid’s head). Consequently, their kids often have no fear of their parents. So if a parent tells their child to study or do his or her homework, but there are no impressionable consequences – do you think that child is going to do homework or study? So what do you expect a teacher to do about it whose hands are also tied by the same socialistic standard? Teachers are valuable assets to society, but the impression they make on today’s kids mirrors the impact the kids have at home. In other words, you will get back what you INVEST in education. Parents really are their children’s first and primary teachers.
Parents’ jobs are to direct their children’s paths in the way they should go and to prepare them to live in society independently and so they can train up the next generation. But their hands are tied by the increasingly socialistic views of legislators and those in power. They did not carry the child for nine months or provide clothing and shelter for it, no. But they have the right to tell parents how to raise their own kids?

Thank-you so much whoever wrote this. There is something very, very wrong with American kids. I should know, I am one. You are not exaggerating when you say we are messed up. These kids will say or do anything just to look cool. They are people-pleasers. They have no real values or ethics. All they care about is their flippin’ cell phones. I have become extremely socially secluded and clinically depressed because I have to go to school in a living hellhole. It is no wonder that American schools get shot up so much, and so many Americans get locked up in prison. Honestly, it is the adults’ fault. Americans sat and watched their kids become spoiled long before I was born, and now those kids are adults. Lucky me! It is time to start some kind of movement in this country; to draw a line and tell our kids not to cross that line, and at the same time be respectful and honest about life to our kids, instead of being neglectful, harsh, and/or overcompensating. It is time for people to start having actual manners and ethics again.
