They Are Turning Our Crops, Animals And Even Our Babies Into Freakish Genetic Monsters – What Could Go Wrong?

The greatest environmental threat that we are facing is genetic modification.  All over the globe, scientists are treating the fabric of life as if it was a playground where anything goes.  Behind closed doors, scientists all over the planet are creating some of the most freakish and most bizarre monsters that you could possible imagine, and very few people seem concerned about it.  But the truth is that messing with the building blocks of life is going to have some very serious consequences.  Scientists claim that they are making our crops stronger, more productive and less vulnerable to insects.  Scientists claim that they can alter our animals so that they are more “useful” to us.  Scientists claim that genetic modification is only going to “enhance” humanity.  But what if something goes seriously wrong?  For example, what if we learn that eating genetically modified food is really, really bad for us?  Well, at this point more than 70 percent of the processed foods sold in the United States contain at least one ingredient that has been genetically modified.  It would be kind of hard to go back now.  We have rushed ahead and have created hordes of freakish genetic monsters without ever seriously considering the consequences.  Someday, future generations may look back on us and wonder how we could have ever been so incredibly foolish.

We were promised that genetically modified crops would enable us to feed the world.  Well, the world is still starving, but we sure have seen super weeds, super pests and super diseases all develop as a result of genetic modification.

A recent article by George Dvorsky discussed how bollworms in China are now becoming resistant to the toxins grown inside Bt cotton….

As far as the real world mutated bollworms are concerned, they’re starting to take off in China. The researchers discovered that resistance-conferring mutations in cotton bollworm were three times more common in northern China than in areas of northwestern China where less Bt cotton has been grown.

A recent NPR article detailed how we are seeing something similar happen in the United States.  Rootworms are becoming resistant to the toxins grown inside Bt corn, and this is starting to cause major problems….

The scientists who called for caution now are saying “I told you so,” because there are signs that a new strain of resistant rootworms is emerging. In eastern Iowa, northwestern Illinois, and parts of Minnesota and Nebraska, rows of Bt corn have toppled over, their roots eaten by rootworms. Entomologist Aaron Gassmann at Iowa State University, who authored the PLoS One paper, collected insects from some of these fields and found many with a greater-than-expected ability to tolerate Bt.

This wasn’t supposed to happen.

But it is happening.

Meanwhile, we are also now learning that Bt corn may not be quite as “safe” for humans as we had been promised.  The following is from a recent article by Dr. Mercola….

Last year, doctors at Sherbrooke University Hospital in Quebec found Bt-toxin in the blood of:

  • 93 percent of pregnant women tested
  • 80 percent of umbilical blood in their babies, and
  • 67 percent of non-pregnant women

The study authors speculate that the Bt toxin was likely consumed in the normal diet of the Canadian middle class—which makes sense when you consider that genetically engineered corn is present in the vast majority of all processed foods and drinks in the form of high fructose corn syrup. They also suggest that the toxin may have come from eating meat from animals fed Bt corn, which most livestock raised in confined animal feeding operations (CAFO, or so-called “factory farms”) are.

These shocking results raise the frightening possibility that eating Bt corn might actually turn your intestinal flora into a sort of “living pesticide factory”… essentially manufacturing Bt-toxin from within your digestive system on a continuing basis.

If this hypothesis is correct, is it then also possible that the Bt-toxin might damage the integrity of your digestive tract in the same way it damages insects? Remember, the toxin actually ruptures the stomach of insects, causing them to die. The biotech industry has insisted that the Bt-toxin doesn’t bind or interact with the intestinal walls of mammals (which would include humans). But again, there are peer-reviewed published research showing that Bt-toxin does bind with mouse small intestines and with intestinal tissue from rhesus monkeys.

Are you sure that the food that you are eating is safe?

Turning Our Animals Into Monsters

Scientists all over the world seem to have no problem messing with our animals either.

Recently it was revealed that scientists in China have genetically modified 300 cows to produce milk that has many of the same qualities that human breast milk does.

So how did they do this?

Well, they inserted human genes into the cows.

So those cows are now essentially part human and part cow.

Are you disturbed yet?

You should be.

In a previous article, I detailed quite a few other examples of how they are turning our animals into genetic monsters….

-Scientists in Japan have created a genetically modified mouse that tweets like a bird.

-One U.S. corporation can now produce a very muscular “monster salmon” which can grow up to three times as fast as normal salmon do.

-In Japan, scientists have discovered that they can grow rat organs inside of mice.  The researchers hope to use the same technology to grow human organs inside of pigs.

Scientists are even creating “spider goats” and fluorescent cats now.  And these are just the things that they are admitting to publicly.

Can you imagine what kind of bizarre monsters are being created in private?

Genetically Modified Humans?

Sadly, now even human babies are being genetically modified.  Recently it was reported that scientists have created babies that have three parents.  The following is from a recent Daily Mail article….

The world’s first geneticallymodified humans have been created, it was revealed last night.

The disclosure that 30 healthy babies were born after a series of experiments in the United States provoked another furious debate about ethics.

So far, two of the babies have been tested and have been found to contain genes from three ‘parents’.

Fifteen of the children were born in the past three years as a result of one experimental programme at the Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Science of St Barnabas in New Jersey.

The babies were born to women who had problems conceiving. Extra genes from a female donor were inserted into their eggs before they were fertilised in an attempt to enable them to conceive.

Genetic fingerprint tests on two one-year- old children confirm that they have inherited DNA from three adults –two women and one man.

The fact that the children have inherited the extra genes and incorporated them into their ‘germline’ means that they will, in turn, be able to pass them on to their own offspring.

The implications of this are staggering.

Will those babies be allowed to reproduce someday?

If so, that genetic material will get into the general population, and once that happens there will be no retrieving it.

But scientists are so excited that they are able to do some of these things that they never stop to ask whether they should be doing these things.

Scientists all over the globe have also been creating creatures that are part-human and part-animal in an attempt to find cures for various diseases.  In a previous article, I quoted a Daily Mail article which discussed the “human-animal hybrid embryos” that are secretly being created in British labs….

Scientists have created more than 150 human-animal hybrid embryos in British laboratories.

The hybrids have been produced secretively over the past three years by researchers looking into possible cures for a wide range of diseases.

The revelation comes just a day after a committee of scientists warned of a nightmare ‘Planet of the Apes’ scenario in which work on human-animal creations goes too far.

Who in the world decided that this would be a good idea?

This kind of mixing of animals and humans is even happening in the heartland of the United States.  The following is from an article posted on MSNBC a number of years ago entitled “Scientists Create Animals That Are Part-Human“….

On a farm about six miles outside this gambling town, Jason Chamberlain looks over a flock of about 50 smelly sheep, many of them possessing partially human livers, hearts, brains and other organs.

What does being “part-human” mean?

Is there something fundamental that sets us apart from the animals?

If so, when is that line crossed?

It is absolutely amazing that more people are not upset about this stuff.

That same MSNBC article described some of the other things that scientists are doing with human genetic material….

In the past two years, scientists have created pigs with human blood, fused rabbit eggs with human DNA and injected human stem cells to make paralyzed mice walk.

Should science be able to do whatever it wants to with human DNA?

Are we absolutely certain that all of these bizarre experiments will never have any very serious unintended consequences?

Down in Missouri, scientists have been growing animals that are part pig and part human with the hope of being able to provide organs for human transplants.

If you ever need an organ transplant, you might want to check where the organ is coming from.  If you are not careful, doctors might implant an organ from a monster that is part-human and part-pig inside of you.

Another very disturbing scientific movement that is gaining a lot of momentum right now is transhumanism.  The idea is that humans can be greatly “enhanced” using computers, microchips, nanobots, “micro-machines“, genetic engineering and other cutting edge technologies.

By merging humans and technology, those promoting transhumanism believe that humans can become much stronger and much more intelligent.  They believe that aging, sickness, disease, disabilities, physical suffering and even death can eventually be totally eliminated.

But at some point would such “super humans” cease to be human?

And what would that mean for the rest of us?

These are very important questions.

Our world was created with incredible precision and with a natural balance between “the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees”.  When we start messing with the basic building blocks of life, we open up “Pandora’s Box” and we might not like the consequences.

It is incredibly arrogant to think that we can turn our crops, our animals and even our babies into freakish genetic monsters and that everything will be just fine.

We are ripping nature to shreds and we are rapidly destroying the environment that has been entrusted to us.

In the end, I am afraid that we will pay a great price for our pride.

  • marK

I do not see a way to stop this nightmare. As for our family we try to stay away from corn syrup . We raise our own grass fed beef, but sone of the hay we have bought has been round up ready I am sure. We raise our own vegetables as much as we can. We have a lot of wheat from 1974 so we think it should be good, but I am sure we are getting some gm food when we go out for dinner or buy stuff from a store.

  • JR

CS Lewis summarized this all in That Hideous Strength

Meanwhile, you state: In Japan, scientists have discovered that they can grow rat organs inside of mice. The researchers hope to use the same technology to grow human organs inside of pigs. Cheaper idea: Wait for the next tsumani to mangle another nuke plant, let more cesium get into the air, and you’ll have all the genetic mutations you want.

  • mondobeyondo

The more we tamper with genetically modifying our food and animals, the more insects, weeds, and other pests will up the ante. Viruses and bacteria are well known for developing resistance to certain disease-fighting drugs.

Just wait, we’re going to eventually see cockroaches that no spray on earth will kill. That’s when you know you are in trouble.

    • Randome-11

Insect, mushrooms, viruses and bacterias always adaptes to new pesticides, medecines and insecticides.

Genetically modified organisms is the only way to prevent or at least limitate mass starvation in the future as a result, by giving a massive evolutionnary accelerator, instead of removing it.

  • SilverFox

Wow, thank god I have open pollinated seeds that I re grow from the seeds I save back from last year. I feel sorry for the ones that have to get their foods from the laboratory and corporate farming.

As far as the mutated animals, thank god I have a gun.

As far as a super virus, wow, what to do? I’m thinking airborne virus as well as contact. Maybe I’ll get swimmers goggles and ear plugs. A nose plug like the ones for snoring. Now the biggie. Some contraption like a pilot would wear over his mouth with a filter. I’ll look like a freak but the super deadly virus couldn’t get in. Don’t forget the rubber gloves and then clean up. Wait, maybe an astronauts helmet. Seriously, a new super virus weather released as a weapon or an accidentally released mutation is a scary thought.

    • Deninm

Randome11 – GMO’s are the only way to prevent mass starvation? Really? How exactly do you explain then the fact that life sustained on this planet for over 6,000 years without them? The “overpopulation” perhaps? Well, consider this — if everyone worked towards providing their own food and actually retained the lost knowledge of naturally controlling crops, the only problem would be droughts which are just going to happen and nothing can be done about that except pray and yield to God and rely upon the help which those of good conscious offer during such times. It is the confinement of living in cities with little space that creates that problem. Yes, there will always be those whose trade is not farming but everyone should make enough of one thing or another to barter/buy from someone who does. All of the intelligence man could ever generate is “yet but the foolishness of God”. There is nothing on this planet that is needed that wasn’t originally given to us. What a shame we’ve lost that knowledge over time, and now seek foolishness!

  • Gary2

So that explained conservatism–all those genetic mutations caused normal people to be retarded. Thanks for clarifying this Michael. I always knew a normal thinking person could never be conservative.

BTW–Is that you in the Frankenstein costume last Halloween? Looks good!

    • xander cross

This reminds me of parasite eve 2. Also, I do noticed a trend with conservatives when it comes to food. Are conservatives food being tainted?

    • Randome-11

Beware, least Thomas Hilderbrand sacrifice your childrens to Moloch.

    • Laura

Gary2, are you one of those genetic mutations? And have you been eating too much of the GMO corn?

  • Dave Webb

The ultimate disaster is manipulation might create a situation where all of us are sterile.
This would be the ultimate population control device.
Once it is started there is no turning back. Within 70 years the planet would be empty of human life. Or the survivors would be left with not enough human beings to reproduce. Even Mules reproduce occasionally. The second or third generation is always sterile.
Even now GM foods have moved into the farm by wind and other means. That means has Monsanto suing farmers for planting crops without their authorization. Yet all of these crops are sterile after one or two generations. This is so you have to buy seeds every year from Monsanto. But the biggest problem might be up the food chain. All animals that eat this “food” might not be able to reproduce past one generation or two.
Something might have happened like this in prehistory Europe. My own theory is most of the ape family has 48 chromosomes. We have 46 chromosomes. Two of those chromosomes are double the size of the rest, almost like we were altered in some way in our past. I figure any human like critter with 48 chromosomes would produce mules if it reproduced with our females. Within one generation or two, no more children. No more Neanderthal for instance.
This is different. It is an attack on our food supply with deliberately modified genetic foods. Someone needs to be aware that a potential result is sterilization of the human species.

    • Alyssa

Dolly the sheep turned out so well. When doing this to human “embryos”, what becomes of the 230 somthing “almost humans” from the unsuccessful attempts?

  • Jodi

Most definitely this article is creepy.

    • Our staff and faculty here at the St. Lukes school and training center here in Bethesda, Maryland believes in our good christian president Obama being God and with that the world will improve. If you want to travel with us to the White House for the worship and praise of president Obama, call me at ************* for details. We believe in the good gospels of Obama and that he will be Lord and Savior of the world on October 21st of this year and will work with Christ in the Apocalypse of the earth to clean up the world and make it good. The White House will be the new heaven on earth for the 144.000 Jewish Muslim christians. We need to read the good gospels of Obama and contribute to the good Obama Christian Campaign. We want to thank you for your service if you can support us in this good coalition and referendum!

  • Gay Veteran

I’m sure that if you were dying of liver failure you would accept a liver transplant from one of those pigs.

  • Randome-11

    Transhumanism is for the better.

Becoming stronger and more intelligent is a good thing, not a worst thing.

If it is possible to become better than “human”? Then that is the way to go, not the way to avoid! Same decision as between being a homo sapien or being a chimpanzee, it isn´t evil or amoral to go for being the homo sapien, on the contrary in fact.

Better is better and worst is worst.

The real price to is pay is that of being apathic, meak and weak two legged cattle. Just look at those imbecile crowds fawing before Obama or those other crowds fawning before Romney or a shrine to Reagan and the “productive classes” complice in the deindustrialization of North Am Union and europe. Refusale of duty, refusal of intelligence, refusal of critical thinking, will and reason. For what? The sake of emotion, fear and greed.
They moan and groan, feeling ever more the consequences of their inaction catching up with the whole of the western world, yet still, they do nothing, want things to be calm and make no waves in the vaine hope of “living” their miserable lives. Will they? Rather doubtfull… Even without economic collapse, diseases, both of humans and their food sorces, would most probably still be catching up.

Keep calm and strive to be an apex predator,

    Long live the new flesh!

    • Janet

Transhumanism just may be The Unpardonable Sin.

      • Randome-11

The unpardonable sin is giving up one´s claws and cunning.

    • Guido

Who is to say? There are no real controls, no ethnics, no regulations. It’s the wild west and everything’s wide open.
Knowing Science has no conscience, I don’t trust science to make decisions for me and everyone else without some serious oversight. Ask the Tuskegee Experiment victims if they feel better for Science’s tender loving care.

    • Alyssa

And when the “transhumans” decide you are not their equal and thus useful only for “animal research”?

    • Guido

Sorry, but we’re still working on being good at being humans. I don’t think the human race has figured out its basic anger, irrationality, hatred, envy, pride, etc enough to be ready to self-evolve into something unknown.
Man is inherently flawed, so what makes you think his attempts at self-improvement would be any better?
The same folks who gave you Hitler, Stalin, PeeWee Herman, drug-resistant TB, Justin Beiber, UFO cults, genocide, the Chevy Volt, lead and rocket fuel in your water, and deep-fried Twinkies will bring you the new-and-improved man. Sure you want to see that?

  • Randome-11

Dear Cricket G Rein, your “god” is no Almight Providence but most likely something like Saturn in the Greek mythology, the deity who had childrens, then ate them.

You are right. Tom Horn (the author) does great work. You can find the book on Amazon right here.

  • It would be a blessing to these “Eugenists” such as Monsanto to be ridded from
this planet. And just recent they just created 30 genetically modified babies.

  • A concerned young AmeriCan Patriot

Those who play God are praying for damnation. They think that they can screw around with the divine creation and get away with it? Let GOD’s retribution be swift and just. Genetic modification is an abomination, there is no other word for it. For those that are pro genetic modification, here’s a question for you (if a bit extreme): If the scientists create a superbug cape-able of killing everyone on the planet (they have, about a thousand times), and it gets out, and because it was genetically modified to be incurable, would you be pro genetic modification then? (note, I said the question was extreme). Watch I am legend. Look at what could happen to humanity from a slight modification to the smallpox virus. Yes I know it is a fiction movie, but anything’s a possibility. GOD save us before we are all lost to him.

  • Ron

I don’t think whoever wrote this article has ant scientific knowledge or they would not write it!! Scare tactics by knee jerk liberals I say!! Poppy cock!!

  • Guido

I would be much more enthusiastic about science and the new frontiers research has opened if I didn’t know better.

I knew a scientist who felt the ends justified the means, no matter who got hurt. He was a big defender of the Tuskegee Experiments because, even though some black people suffered miserably, ultimately we all benefited.

Science needs serious oversight to ensure it remains within our morals because the alternative is widespread chaos. If we embrace science without instituting controls and oversight, we risk a nation, no, a planet full of Dr. Mengele-style experiments.

The Soviets were perfectly fine with nuking their own people to see what would happen. We did the same in the US. Our government experimented with exposing retarded kids to radiation. The Brits exposed their civilians to radiation, as well. None of these people were permitted to make an informed decision about whether they were willing to let their lives be toyed with.

US researchers exposed unwitting victims to LSD, causing at least one soldier to commit suicide. They also test drugs and other things on soldiers, relying on intimidation and ignorance to keep them from questioning just what’s in the needles they’re being jabbed with.

So don’t be too quick to embrace science unquestioningly-you could be next up for testing and not even know it. Science needs to reflect the values of our society. If we’re too lazy, too ignorant, or too selfish to limit science, we could be eating Soylent Green before we know it. Whatever your personal limits and morals might be, they could be up for violation by some researcher. Don’t believe me? It wasn’t all that long ago the government believed in frying out repeat offender’s brains with electroshock therapy. The government OK’d forced sterilization of people who had retarded family members. They frontally lobotomized people against their will.

  • tommcd

If you faced a decision of either dying slowly or accepting a heart or liver transplant that was grown inside of a pig, which would you choose?
If you faced a decision of either spending the rest of your life on dialysis or accepting a kidney that was grown inside a pig, which would you choose??
There will never, ever, be enough human organs available from cadavers or living donors for all of the people who need transplants.
Many thousands of people die each year in the USA alone waiting for organ transplants. Would you choose to be one of them???
Personally, I would gladly take the organ grown inside of a pig if it would keep me alive.
Science is neither good nor evil. It is what we do with the knowledge that matters.

    • Guido

Sure, Science is not inherently good or evil, but without people overseeing it to ensure it is used for good, it will quickly be turned to evil, even if for only the best intentions.
Sure, you can get an organ grown in a pig. Or perhaps we could just clone ourselves like that film, The Island, and kill our clones when it gets convenient. Look at China’s solution-they kill off their political prisoners to sell organs to wealthy Westerners. There’s a great solution.
I already pointed out Tuskeegee and radiation experiments. Do the ends always justify the means?

    • Deninm

      “blockquote cite=”
See tommcd – therein lies the difference in people. I for one would NEVER accept an organ from an animal, or from another human being for that matter — PERIOD! I’m not afraid to die as “it is appointed unto man once to die” and those of us who KNOW God (I’m not talking about knowing OF Him, but actually having a personal relationship with Him that can only be explained if you’ve opened up that part of yourself that HE made when He created mankind for Him to dwell with you), know that there IS an afterlife. For some strange reason (not really though, as it would otherwise shut most of their work down, science chooses to ignore or explain away the after death experiences of so many as merely temporary continued brain function of some area of the brain — no proof, yet all of the testimonies are never proof enough for them. That is, until it’s THEIR TURN!). Look at it this way, even if you accept an organ and stay on a host of medications the rest of your earthly life, the day WILL COME when you’re still going to die. No one can escape that forever! You could only attempt to escape it for so long. Then what? What if you were in a car accident the very next day and you STILL DIE? You simply cannot run from it for long – just the way He made it!

  • tommcd

So we need people overseeing science to be sure that it is used for good?
And who shall these people be? And who will appoint them?
Remember, it was “people” who oversaw the Tuskeegee experiments. Having people in government in charge of
medical science is what led to things like the Tuskeegee experiments as well as the horrors of Nazi Germany.
I would rather that no one were “overseeing” science.
The free market will decide what therapies become available; and the free market will produce better and less expensive therapies if those “people” in the government keep their hands out of health care technologies that they will never understand.
Science moves much faster than government.

  • UrAldr

Thanks. You are too kind to constantly refer to “we” as if normal people had any say in the matter, this perversion of nature is the work of Satanists, not good scientists. They always sell their agenda as something philanthropic, as if they were conserned with doing “the right thing” for humanity. It’s a mockery of all that is good and an instrument of the ultimate corruption of mankind.
