The Fastest Growing Religion In America Is Islam

Do you know what the fastest growing religion in America is?  It isn’t Christianity.  According to the latest U.S. Religion Census that was just released on May 1, 2012, the fastest growing religion in America is Islam.  The data for the census was compiled by the Association of Statisticians of American Religious Bodies, and the results were released by the Association of Religion Data Archives.  From the year 2000 to the year 2010, the census found that the number of Muslims living inside the United States increased by about 1 million to 2.6 million – a stunning increase of 66.7 percent.  That is an astounding rate of growth.  Meanwhile, most Christian denominations had rates of growth that were far below the overall rate of population growth in the United States, and some Christian denominations actually lost members.  Sadly, when Barack Obama once said that “we are no longer a Christian nation” he wasn’t too far off the mark.  Christianity is rapidly losing influence and other religions such as Islam are rapidly gaining members and building new places of worship.  As other major religions such as Islam continue to grow in the United States, it is inevitable that this will reshape America in many different ways in the years ahead.

So what about other religious groups?

How did they fare according to the U.S. Religion Census?

Well, the following are some of the growth rates for major religious organizations from the year 2000 to the year 2010….

Mormons: +45.5%

Evangelical Protestants: +1.7% (far behind the overall rate of population growth)

Catholics: -5.0%

Mainline Protestants: -12.8% (an astounding decline)

But it was Islam that experienced the most explosive growth.

According to Ihsan Bagby, a professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Kentucky, there were about 1,200 mosques in America back in the year 2000.

According to this new census, there are now 2,106.

All over the United States we are seeing “mega-mosques” being constructed, and in many cases the funding is coming from overseas.

And these mega-mosques are not going unused.  In some areas of the country, Islamic communities are experiencing absolutely explosive growth.

The following example comes from a recent USA Today article….

Imam Muhammad Musri, president of the Islamic Society of Central Florida, saw growth explode by a whopping 473 percent in and around Orlando’s Orange County, according to the RCMS study, and he thinks the growth is actually double the 10,000 new Muslims reported by the study.

He said Muslim growth has been fueled by a wave of post-9/11 converts, American-born children of immigrants having kids of their own, and jobs in the booming medical industry. In central Florida, he said, Muslims are just following everyone else in search of “better weather, cheaper prices, cheaper homes.”

A lot of this growth is being fueled by immigration.  A survey conducted by the Pew Research Center back in 2007 discovered that 39 percent of all adult Muslims living in America were immigrants that had arrived in the United States since 1990.

This rapid influx of Muslims is reshaping communities all over America.  For example, Muslim students now account for approximately 10 percent of the total number of students in the New York City School District.

And all over the country many school districts are now changing their school calendars to observe Islamic holidays.

In fact, in Dearborn, Michigan football practices are actually scheduled around Ramadan.  The following is from a Fox News article….

In Dearborn, Mich., where schools are closed on both the day before and the day of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, the predominantly-Muslim football team has switched its two-a-day summer practice schedule to 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. during Ramadan, so that Muslim players — who fast while the sun is up – won’t be forced to practice in the heat without drinking water.

The move received little backlash in Dearborn, because most of the football players are Muslims.

Dearborn is located just outside of Detroit, and it contains one of the densest Arab communities outside of the Middle East.  Each day, the local mosque’s call to prayer can be clearly heard all over the city.  Dearborn is a clear example of why we can no longer call America a “Christian nation”.

But Islam is not the only non-Christian religion that is growing rapidly in America.

The latest U.S. Religion Census found that non-Christian groups grew by 32 percent overall from the year 2000 to the year 2010.

Meanwhile, as I have written about previously, the decline of Christianity in America is accelerating.

Back in 1990, one survey found that 86 percent of all Americans identified themselves as “Christian” of one sort or another.

By 2008, only 76 percent of all Americans identified themselves as “Christian” of one sort or another.

Meanwhile, atheism and the “not religious” are experiencing huge gains in numbers.  For example, the U.S. Census Bureau says that the number of Americans with “no religion” more than doubled between 1990 and 2008.

Even many of those that still apply the label of “Christian” to themselves are not very committed.  The latest U.S. Religion Census found that approximately 150 million Americans are not actively engaged with any religious community at all.  That is nearly half of the population.

So America is changing.

It is becoming less religious and it is becoming less Christian.

What is your opinion about all of this?

Please feel free to post a comment with your thoughts below….

Did you expect that America would remain the same forever? How is that possible? It’s startling to recall, that just 500 years ago, there was not one White Anglophone *anywhere in what are now the United States and Canada combined*! Not one!

That isn’t very long. And 500 years hence…? With any luck, some form of humanity (and/or its descendants) may well have reached the nearer stars.

Having had read much of the anti-Muslim, anti-Islam hatemongering here reminds me of two very appropriate sayings. 1) If you think education is expensive, try ignorance (Derek Bok), and their knowledge of Islam can fit into a peanut shell – and still have room for the peanuts. As has been suggested in these posts, read the Quran, speak to Muslims over a hot mint tea, then decide. If you persist in condemning then there is something wrong with you and may be beyond help.

I found a revealing article in my archives that I want to share here. One is an article by Hartzell Spence, son of a theologian, titled “The Truth About The Bible” that was published in Look Magazine in its February 2, 1956 issue. Spence’s extensive study of the New Testament revealed that there are 50,000 errors in that book. By comparison, the Quran was revealed 1435 years ago and today contains no errors and no changes at all. I read an excellent book on comparative religion that received an award. The title is Our God and Your God is One by Zagloul Kadah. Read it. The very extensive research is very convincing. Google may still have them.

” Now the spirit expressly says that in the last days some will depart from the faith, giving heed to decieving spirits and doctrines of demons ” 1 Timothy 4:1. . . You don’t need the latest religion census to arrive at the conclusion that America is no longer a Christian nation, just eyes to see. The only hope for this nation is to return to God in repentance, trusting again in the God of the Bible, the only true God, who loves all people and desires that they come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved. But sadly, apathy is rampant even in the church. I truly believe that even most Christians have become decieved, believing such lies as ” theres no such thing as hell “. I even have a neighbor who goes to church every week and believes in reincarnation…What do you do with that? Another church member I know goes every week and even serves, but doesn’t believe that ” all the Bible is true ” ( He has a problem with submitting to authority ). These people are not the exceptions, they’re the rule, because if you press the average believer, you find that most are not even capable of articulating why they believe what they believe. America is very much a post Christian nation. Judgment awaits.

judgement awaits from who? the invisible cloud being? the flying spaghetti monster?

For someone who thinks God’s not real, you sure devote enough of your posts trying to refute Him. I believe that fact is pretty obvious to all the other Christian commenters on this site. You know that the God of the Bible is real, I say that with absolute confidence because I know by reading your posts that you are a thinker. You just choose to live in opposition to his commands because you have been overpowered by your lifestyle, and your passions have blinded you to the reality of the grave consequences you will face when you fall into the hands of the living God, unless you return to God in humility with a repentant heart. Attempting to discredit and marginalize God will not make Him disappear. You are like a little kid playing in the front yard, who, when his Father calls him to come in the house, he reasons within himself that if he ignores his Father he can continue to play. The Father knows that his kid can hear him, so after patiently giving him opportunity to repond, the Father decides enough is enough, and punishment soon follows. . .Dear Brother, you had better redeem the time, because time is a commodity you don’t control and you WILL give an account, we all will.

        • r.bitting

P.S . . . The true freind tells you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.

          • Gay Veteran

indeed, and what you need to hear is that religion exists for 2 reaons:

            (1) man fears death
            (2) as a means of social control (obey the law or you’ll go to hell)

btw, I’m an agnostic, it is the height of arrogance to declare that god exists or not

          • r.bitting

Gay veteran, it’s not the height of arrogance to claim that God exists, it’s the height of ignorance to claim that He doesn’t, because in doing so, you are stating that the universe came into existence on it’s own ( an effect without a cause ), not to mention all the evidence that God has given in the creation itself. In regard to your rules, it was the very deaths ( martyrdom ) of the apostles and early believers of the first century that God used as a witness to authenticate the validity of the Gospel messege and the faith of those same believers, which btw, is still happening today. As for your second rule, if the Bible is truly the word of God ( which you can’t say that it is’nt, if you claim to be an agnostic ) then the Christian who informs you about what the bible says about homosexuality is in fact being a true freind, and not a religious bigot as you like portray him or her.

the problem is not primarily what Christians say (though some can use what is said to justify violence), it is what they do, which is to use the power of the state to impose their view of Christianity on everyone else

I never got the loving god thing. He’s in charge of hell after all, right? That doesn’t sound too loving. A church ex-communicates a woman for getting her 9 year-old daughter an abortion, but does not ex-communicate the man who raped her.
I choose not to believe in such a contradictory train wreck.
BTW: The size of the universe taken into account, it is ludacris to think that we were’created.’ There is no effect without a cause. The cause was the Big Bang, proven over and over again.
You choose not to believe in science.
I choose not to believe in god.

Big Jeff, Ah yes, the Big Bang Theory, An explosion of nothing in space and time which created order ( none of which you can account for ). . . Nice Science. Btw, I think it’s ironic that you call it science, because the word science means ” with knowledge”, and you are clearly operating without any.

        • A concerned young AmeriCan Patriot

@ Bigjeff; you forget that the big bang theory (not the tv show, the actual theory) was proposed by a Christian scientist, who formed the idea to explain how he himself believed God works. He believed that the 7 days in the Book of Genesis were not just days, but appeared as days to God, for when one is and has been around forever as God has, one million years may not be that long of a time at all. (don’t believe me about the Christian scientist creating the big bang theory? look it up)

  • Prof. Pizdoboltsev

America is becoming less religious… True. New generation prefers easy money, TV shows, celebrity stories, sex, drugs, alcohol and independence from their parents. Religion generally is passed along in generations from parents to children, and so on. It is very rare when a young person picks up new religion by himself. In muslim world, there are strong ties between father and son. So, the religion is almost inherited. Therefore I believe, in America, there is a significant disconnect between generations. Unfortunately it is a lot more than religion that is being lost…

  • Brian M.

Islam and atheism is growing? So what, considering that this country is NOT a Christian nation.

    Michael, you should know better.

    • WM

Brian M. Whoa there boy!!! Your right, we are not a Christian nation, but our founders were and consecrated this nation to the Lord God, ( Pilgrim founders), and we are like no nation in human history as far as freedom and opportunity.

So you say “So What” to Michaels article….”So What” if godless atheism with no absolute morals spreads throughout this land….”So What” if our young people are brainwashed into thinking there is no god and we are all just animals that evolved from a fish…… “So What”, if islam spreads its anti infedel and conquest agenda through the land, and implements Sharia law across America……

“So what” if this nation turns away from the 10 commandments and Christian principles, and embraces relative-ism, humanism, socialism and communism…..

Its people like you who say “So What” to whats happening….better go back and put your head in the sand and anticipate watching the next episode of American Idol”

      • Brain. M

Oh goody! Where do I start?

“but our founders were and consecrated this nation to the Lord God, ( Pilgrim founders)”

        The founders weren’t pilgrims.

“So What” if godless atheism with no absolute morals spreads throughout this land….”

When did I say that atheism would take over? And besides, it’s been proven that you CAN have morals without god.

“So What” if our young people are brainwashed into thinking there is no god and we are all just animals that evolved from a fish…… ”

No scientist, nor rational person would ever say that. Glad to see that your ignorance is showing.

“So What”, if islam spreads its anti infedel and conquest agenda through the land, and implements Sharia law across America……”

Considering that most Muslims here don’t want that and that and that you’re misinterpreting their words (And mine).

““So what” if this nation turns away from the 10 commandments and Christian principles, and embraces relative-ism, humanism, socialism and communism…..”

Nice slippery slope fallacy you made there. And considering that this country is NOT a Christian nation…

“ts people like you who say “So What” to whats happening….better go back and put your head in the sand and anticipate watching the next episode of American Idol””

        oh, the irony…

Sorry but your words and views doesn’t sound like “we are like no nation in human history as far as freedom and opportunity.” because if you have accepted Muslims in society means they too have same freedom and opportunity, being US citizens..then why this hatred? Accept them as part of our society and they are cool, if you marginalize them its not good for our nation (coz then our fundamentals of freedom for everyone are broken)

  • mondobeyondo

I’ve heard the same thing about Islam exploding (in popularity, (no bomb puns intended… ahem) in metro Detroit. Specifically, the Dearborn, Michigan area.

Why there? Detroit isn’t exactly paradise. If I were Muslim (I am not), and desired to go to paradise after I die, Detroit would be very low on my list. Honolulu would be more my style. Tahiti or Fiji as well. Gimme 72 virgins on a beach in Tahiti any day. Ha!

So why promote their religion in metro Detroit?
For those who are of the Muslim faith – enlighten me…

    • WM

The reason I am told by a good source who lives there is that they come and somehow get on government programs, and then have as many kids as possible, and getting more government assistance. I am not saying that all muslims are doing this, but, many are as a way of infiltrating and populating this nation.

Evidently, the political climate in Dearborn is more apt to muslims getting into the politics there and thus changing the laws to eventually reflect islamic sharia law, so I have been told by a contact in Dearborn.

Gay veteran, you don’t “fear” so called fundamentalist Christians, you just resent the fact that they call you out on your sin. Maybe YOU should’nt be so blinded by your passion and actually see whether the claims of Christ are really true.

          • jaxon64

Gay make no sense and are really backward in your thinking. First off, how in the world are you oppressed? Christians simply call what homosexuals do as unnatural and a sin–even science admits that it is against nature and not genetic- otherwise if there were a “gay” gene it would have selectively eliminated itself by now. Instead what we see is an explosion of homosexuality as public schools and media perpetuate an image of gayness as cool. Throw in masses of female hormones added to cows for increased milk production and chickens for larger breasts and we get a generation of 10 year old girls who are developing unnaturally fast into puberty and young males who are losing masculinity and becoming more effeminate as yourself.

What makes you angry and hateful is that you are being fought against in your efforts to be considered a special interest or minority group with special priveleges and considerations. Races are born of that race and genders are born of that gender but only gays think that because they prefer abberant sexual practices that they should receive special priveleges…and your right, it is this very “in your face” attitude that makes others, christian or just plain old fashioned, mnasculine straight find anger towards you. Go practice your your sexuality in your bedroom like normal people–for us, sexuality is not the defining aspect of our lives as it is with the homosexual lifestyles where it encompasses everything, you do, everywhere you go and every aspect of your lives–you don’t want to be part of society….you want to be recognized as something different…give up the victimhood- nobody here is buying into it……..

I have read some of the Koran and it was not a religion or culture I would want to live with. There is no freedom of choice in which we need to grow. You live by it or die by it and that is all. The treatment of women is wrong. At least the Mormon Church is growing that loves freedom of choice in your life.

    • Gay Veteran

“…At least the Mormon Church is growing that loves freedom of choice in your life…”

that’s a flat out lie when it comes to Gays

      • mark

You do not understand about free choice in life. The Church does not force you to live correct principles, that will be your choice. In Islam if you tried to live your lifestyle you would be stoned to death in a country with sharia law. In the Mormon Church you can be gay if you want, but you can’t be sexually active outside of marriage. That goes for straights or gays. If you don’t live by God’s Laws that is your choice. Now if you have gone to the Temple and made covenents and you break them and not repent, well that is your own choice and you might get tossed out. No one is going to stone you or do you harm.

        • Gay Veteran

and you don’t understand freedom of choice, freedom not to be dictated to by religious fundamentalists.

          • mark

Nobody is telling you that you can’t be gay. That is your choice. On the same line you can’t dictate how straight people choose to follow God’s Laws. You do not get to redefine what marraige is and the choice I make in life. So stay with your gay lifestyle if that’s what you want to do. But I also have the right to express how I feel just as much as you do. If you don’t like it get over it and quit crying the blues to everyone.

in the majority of states (mainly due to “Christians”), it is perfectly legal to discriminate against Gays

btw, I don’t care what you call a sin, I don’t believe in your religion so I am utterly indifferent to YOUR interpretation of the Bible

      • r.bitting

For someone who is utterly indifferent to it, you sure spend a lot of time trying to discredit it.

        • Gay Veteran

no, I try to discredit YOUR interpretation of it

    • Gay Veteran

jaxon64, do you even know what is going on? Today 5/8/12 North Carolina votes to ban recogination of ANY Gay relationship (marriage, civil union, domestic partnership). So yes you “Christians” are indeed oppressing us.

“…even science admits that it is against nature and not genetic…” To the contrary, homosexuality exists throughtout nature.

“…we get a generation of 10 year old girls who are developing unnaturally fast into puberty and young males who are losing masculinity and becoming more effeminate as yourself…” EYEROLL. Your prejudices are showing. If you saw me on the street you would think I was retired military or police.

And what “special” privileges and consideration??? We demand equality. And your argument falls apart because your CHOICE of religion is protected from discrimination.

The simple fact is that bigots like you are fixated on the sex lives of other people, and you are simply incapable of understanding that 2 people of the same gender can love each other.

And I love you talking about “victimhood” because no one screams louder than a stuck pig than a right-winger.

    • USMarine

You never did! Koran doesn’t teach this

  • Georgiaboy61

The Koran speaks of jihad by immigration, of Muslims settling in other lands, blending in, and accumulating converts, before moving into the open and seizing power. Down through the ages, Muslims have used this formula for conquest; when they are strong, conquer openly; when they are weak, by stealth. The Koran speaks of “kitman” and “taqiyya,” both of which are forms of lying and deception permitted by believers of Islam in order to protect or advance the cause. That is, a devout Muslim may not lie to a fellow Muslim, but it is his duty to do so in the case of the infidel. Muslims promugate an image for their “faith” as the “religion of peace,” but that, too, is a deception. Islam is no mere religious faith, but a totalitarian system with a religious component. Islam is a creed of the sword; in the 15th century, Muslim invaders slaughtered some 50 million infidels in what is now modern India; during and immediately after WWI, the Ottoman Turks, who were Muslims, killed more than 1 million Armenians. There are many other examples. In fact, the Muslim Sudan recently concluded a long civil war against non-Muslims, who formed a new state to escape the “tender mercies of Islam”… but already Muslim Sudanese are attacking and raiding into the infidel south. All over the world, Muslims are killing non-Muslims or other Muslims. As the honored scholar, the late Samuel L. Huntington noted, Islam’s “borders are bloody…” The website,, documents the mounting toll of violence against non-Muslims by Muslims in places like Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and elsewhere… where little girls are slaughtered for the crime of attending school, where one’s daughter can be slain for daring to wear western fashions, and where one can be slain for trying to attend Christian church.
Islam is not compatible with western civilization or the United States, or its foundational documents, traditions and freedoms, i.e. such as the Magna Carta, Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution, the Bible, the Torah, etc. Freedom in the sense that westerners know and understand, does not exist in Islam, esp. within the most fanatical Wahhabist sects of the Arab Middle East. Given the above, it can be seen that Muslim “immigrants” are not immigrants at all, but a beachhead for an eventual invasion by their coreligionists. Muslims have no intention of assimilating; they intend to make us accomodate to them. That is the history of Islam over the last 1300 years, not the tripe the cowards and the politically-correct are feeding us.

    • WM

Georgiaboy61, great comments. i was beginning to think I was the only one that really understands what is going on with the invasion of islam. Its history is covered in “infidels” blood, especially after muhamad aquired military power.

The perception that muslims are assimilating into our culture, is a masquerade indeed. Wait until there are enough of them here, and muslims are in power,( obummer is start), and sharia law starts rearing its ugly head……then things are going to get very trying indeed.

Any freedom loving Americans out there who enjoy living in what freedom we have left, need to realize the critical time we live in and resist islamic invasion of this nation, in a NON VIOLENT way of course. I do not despise muslims at all, I pray for them, and I respect their right to believe what they want, but when their beliefs are contrary to freedom, Biblical principles, and the American way, well, thats where I draw the line.

I’m sure there was slavery in that time, but what does that have to do with 2012? Is’nt it one of the arguements the Gay/ Lesian movement like to make, that being, the Bible is no longer relevant to our modern culture? But yet whenever it suites your agenda, what do you do, go right back to history, which your movement claims is now no longer relevant. Do you really think that the vast majority of the other posters here don’t see your duplicity?

          • Ryan

            Bible is evil

        • knightowl77

          only everyday…. ;-)

          • Gay Veteran

r.biting, you mean the Bible that condoned slavery?

          • r.bitting

Gay veteran, that’s exactly the Bible i’m speaking of. You should read it sometime.

          • Gay Veteran

r.bitting, oh but the Bible as YOU use it is relevant. It was you Christians who defended slavery in the South. Just recently the Southern Baptists apologized for their role in slavery. So I guess in 100 years your type will apologize for your role in persecuting Gays.

            and duplicity?

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

          • jaxon64

Gay Vet–you are an ignorant fool. The bible certainly never condones slavery. The only time it mentions slavery is with a message of hope to slaves. It tells them that although they are slaves on earth that some day they will be equal inheritors of the kingdom of God–it is actually a promise of hope to those who were downtrodden and most-often were endentured slaves 2000 years ago since if one defaulted on debts back then you went into slavery for the debtors until you paid it back ( not completely unlike our current banksters system). It tells slaves to do their work as if you were doing it for God and not their oppressors because God will see their hearts and reward them…Jesus did not condone slavery and He wasn’t sent here to be an abolitionist–instead, the freedom He offered was of a much greater kind–eternal freedom to live as a Child of God……..

          • Ryan

Bible, Jesus, Christianity, religion all are evil. Shun the idea of religion completely, just be a good human. You could never become a good person, how will you be able to become a good religionist?

          • r.bitting

Gay veteran, again you use history to make a point about the present time because it fits your agenda, but when it doesn’t you call it outdated. BTW, nice bible verse, i’m sure it’s your favorite, as you are able to make it fit your agenda.

      • WM

GayVeteran: Not sure what ‘evil” you are talking about. The real point is the ideaology behind a “religion” or worldview. Sure people of different belief systems can go astray and get dissalusioned and do bad things in the “name” of their religion, but take a look at what the founders taught, in other words, compare what Jesus taught and what Muhamad taught, in regards to how we are to treat one another, and how we are to view/treat those who refuse to accept our faith.

Your hatred for Christianity is so evident. Perhaps its the teaching in the Bible that we will all stand before a Holy God on judgement day. Perhaps its the scriptures that mention those who will not enter the kingdom unless they repent of their sins. God is a Holy judge, and will judge everyone on judgement day, which is closer than you can imagine. Because he is Holy and perfect, he will not and cannot allow unrepentant sinners into his kingdom. To do so, would mock his character, and mock the reason Jesus died on the cross.

The Bible states un apologetically, that We are all children of wrath, and the wrath of God abides on us. It is only when we acknowledge and agree with God when he describes who we really are, and that we need to come to a point of revelation to know that he is Holy and that we have broken his law, and because he is a good, righteous God, he has to punish law breakers. It is only when you repent, (turn from your sin)and turn to Jesus, that you will be foregiven and made righteous in the eyes of God, due to the precious blood of Jesus and what he did on Calvary.

With out sacrifice and shedding of blood their is no forgiveness of sin…..without repentance, there is no forgiveness of sins.

People hate Christianity and the Bible because it tells them that they are sinners and have broken Gods law, and that there is only ONE WAY to get right with God and have your sins forgiven and to be sure of where you go when you die. “There is only one Name under heaven given onto men in which they may be saved, the Name of Jesus the Christ”

        • Gay Veteran

no WM, I don’t hate Christianity, I do hate “Christians” who oppress others

          • r.bitting

You mean christians who use the same free speech rights you like to use to call your sin what it is.

          • WM

How are Christians oppressing others? Oh, maybe its when we repeat the scriptures, you know:

“I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to me except throught the father” John 14:6

or ” He who has the Son has life, he who has not the son, has not life” 1John 5:12 or how about:

“Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God…”
            1 Corinthians 6:9-10

So maybe the Christians who are being fathful to preaching what the Bible says, and not removing the un-politically correct verses are being “oppressive”?????

        • Gay Veteran

“…It tells slaves to do their work as if you were doing it for God and not their oppressors because God will see their hearts and reward them….”

wow, jaxon64, I’m sure the slave masters were really happy to hear that!

WM, the problem is how some of you “Christians” have perverted the meaning of Jesus in order to use the power of the state to impose YOUR interpretation of the Bible on others

personally I simple DO NOT CARE if you want to rant and rave the whole bloody day about us sodomites like some lesser version of Fred Phelps and “God hates fags”. Having said that, I DO have a problem when you try to impose YOUR interpreation of Christianity on me

WM, How are Christians oppressing others? Do you pay ANY attention to what is going on in this country? At how the majority of states deny marriage equality to Gays and even deny us antidiscrimination laws (even though YOUR choice of religion IS protected)

@gay veteran: The South Carolina poll was a majority of the CITIZENS poll, and out of the citizens who showed up, the majority voted for amendment 1

            here is the results chart

            Amendment 1
            Result Votes Percentage
            a Yes 1,303,952 61.05%
            No 831,788 38.95%

If more people wanted to vote against it, then they should have voted when they had the chance, instead of appealing to a court that their case should be declared invalid in.

I honestly do not care if you are gay or not, respect me, and I will respect you; just because you are agnostic and I am Christian doesn’t mean we can’t get along. I am sick and tired of hypocrisy occurring on both sides of every issue.

Also thank you for your service. I hope to join the Corps in a few years, even though my girlfriend and mom don’t want me to.

gee mark, I recall a lot of polygamy in the Bible. Look like it has already changed.

and you people would be screaming to high heaven if the shoe was on the other foot, if you couldn’t get married merely because you were a Christian

sorry, but you don’t get to determine the CIVIL rights of others

      • r.bitting

        Or vise versa.

    • jaxon64

I am also aware of this site and have followed it sporadically. They keep a running tally at the bottom of the page–day by day– every murder, mutilation, mass genocides and rapes of whole villages.
An interesting thing happened in August of 2011 for THE FIRST TIME IN ALMOST 16 YEARS. A whole day went by where someone wasn’t murdered in the name of ALLAH the bloody and merciless demon-lord of the underworld…that is a fact, go to the website and verify yourself…thousands and thousands every year and day after day bloody carnage in the name of Allah by followers of that sicko, pedophile mu-ham-med……look it up, educate yourself on the origins of this deranged philosophy, but also know this, Islam is more than a “religion” it is a set of laws, it is a form of government and a complete way of life without freedoms ( especially for females which are essentially sex slaves-even in “heaven” for the “martyred” whackos who acted as suicide bombers of little kids like the elementary school in Chechnya- why would any female willing be a muslim? what is her eternal reward, eternity as a whore in a concubine with 71 other “virgins”?),

  • Gary2wannabe

USA will regret allowing the influx of Muslims. Look to Europe for the result. I disagree with the facebook poster who thinks Islam has anything good to offer.

    • WM

Yeah, Its true. I have a friend in London, and he says it is a mess over there. The muslims protest and riot at the drop if a hat should allah be criticized, or anyhting against their “law” transpires. He knows what sharia law is and says the current laws there are slowly reflecting sharia(islamic) law, as more muslims are getting into political offices there, becoming lawyers and essentially changing the laws.

Islam is NOT a religion of peace, and as far as them being here, well, our constitution does gaurantee freedom of religion, but it is common sense and logical to think that that freedom of religion does not consist of said religion changing the nation and its laws that it resides.

      • Alex

Lol, I’m from London and I don’t see any of what is mentioned above. Yeah there are few who go on rioting at times but they are just petty criminals and do it in their individual religious influence. So what you said actually made no sense.

    • Gay Veteran

r.bitting, you Christians are not merely using free speech rights, you want to use the power of the state to impose your religious views on everyone else. That is tyranny

btw, judge not lest ye be judged

    • Gay Veteran

WM, surely you jest?!?!?!? How are Christians oppressing others? Right now in Maryland Christians are organizing to repeal CIVIL marriage equality for Gays.

    • Jolly

Sad soul! Don’t carry so much hatred for no apparent reason. It will do no good to your health. First be a good human.

I see that this site has not skipped a beat in trying to frame Islam as an evil religion and stoking the fears against muslims. So what if godless white “former christians”, who believe in nothing but killing and death by the way, have now shunned religion altogther? I don’t see that as a bad thing. Religion is the root of all evil in the world, and it starts with so called christianity……………….Personally, getting rid of all religions would be the ideal goal. This would eliminate one of the reasons for war, death, and destrution…………….

    • seanipie

You obviously know nothing about religion if that it’s your opinion. It’s naive to think that religion can be eliminated or that if it was eliminated it would be one less cause of violence, war, etc., churches do more for the community in America than the governmebt could ever hope to. That is a FACT, which makes your statement a contradiction.

Islam though does indeed promote senseless killing of those who are not muslims, it very much so is evil.

      • Jonathan

This is wrong! Why people like you start discussing when you knowing nothing about the matter? Obviously you know nothing about either Islam and Muslims and are blinded by those either fictitious or propaganda based bashing of islam by our media. Me or none of the people I know have ever come across any Muslim who was bad, ever!

    • Griever

I agree, religion is an outdated concept that the world no longer needs. There is no heaven and no hell when you die it is like hitting off on the computer. Blackness. Religion is slowing the progress of humanity and it pisses me off.

    • A concerned young AmeriCan Patriot

@reed richards: please explain to me how you believe getting rid of religion would be an ideal goal? And do not use the no wars, no hunger, no greed arguments, all of those things are caused by humanity’s imperfections, and would all occur with or without religion. If not started by religion, then started because someone “looks funny” stranger things have happened. I am not looking for an immature Christianity/atheism bashing, after all I have atheist friends and respect their beliefs, though I personally am a Catholic; moreso, I am looking for an intellectual discussion between two bright minds, for you seem reasonably intelligent. I do not want this to turn into a hate spewing argument, those are why nothing beneficial ever gets done in this country. As long as you respect my opinion, I will respect yours, though we may have to agree to disagree.

      • A concerned young AmeriCan Patriot

Just as an afterthought, America was based on freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion many atheists are personally trying to force onto me.

        • A concerned young AmeriCan Patriot

Also, I am conservative, and I believe in what the Bible teaches; it teaches us to love others for who they are, and if they sin, to hate the sin and not the sinner. It is just the hypocrisy that I see everywhere that disgusts me. If Christians begin to get persecuted however, my opinion will change, there are already signs of that happening; my friend is a Catholic also, and he was punished for bringing a Bible into, and praying, in school (in lunch nonetheless, which is basically a free period at my school). A muslim in my class is allowed to pray whenever their book tells them too. I do not believe that is the equality that people are looking for. It is the same thing with hardcore feminists; I have a girl in one of my classes who believes that just because she is a girl, she is better at everything than guys. I constantly get better grades than her. People who preach tolerance and equality, but deny them to others sickens me, no matter the religion, gender, etc. I am against gay “marriage” because calling it marriage would discredit everything marriage is described as in he Bible “a holy union of two souls into one, for the purpose of love, and of creating the next generation” Most people think all conservatives are intolerant. We are not, in fact, a lot of us are more tolerant than the bleeding heart left, it is just not noticed because it doesn’t make for a good story when the liberal backed media says something bad about the libs, or something good about the conservatives. “Hate the sin, love the sinner.”

  • VRM

    Wait, don’t jump to conclusions.
A detailed data is required to form opinions.
How many muslims came from out side, how many are born muslims and how many are new converts? Analyze the data and you will find that no. new converts does contribute much in growth of mulims population , it is rather immigration and high birth rate.

  • VRM

    A correction in above post-
It is no of new converts does NOT contribute much..

  • Dave

Allah is NOT the God of the Bible, and Islam is a poison. This does not mean I hate the Muslim people because they are deceived. The fact that America and the west is turning to Islam underlines the profound decay in our thought processes. …A powerful delusion… Those that do not recognize that Islam is in direct opposition to Christianity do not understand either religion.

1 John 4:3 “and every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus does not belong to God. This is the spirit of the antichrist that, as you heard, is to come, but in fact is already in the world.”

1 John 4:15″1Whoever acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him and he in God. ”

[19.88] And they say: The Beneficent God has taken (to Himself) a son.
[19.89] Certainly you have made an abominable assertion
[19.90] The heavens may almost be rent thereat, and the earth cleave asunder, and the mountains fall down in pieces,
[19.91] That they ascribe a son to the Beneficent God.
[19.92] And it is not worthy of the Beneficent God that He should take (to Himself) a son.

    • mondobeyondo

I tend to agree with you.

(Oh boy. Note to self: Watch for minefields)

As much as Mohammed is revered in Islam, he is never referred to as God’s Son, just a prophet. Of all the major religions, only Christianity refers to Jesus Christ as the Messiah, God’s only begotten Son, who was crucified, died and rose again after three days.. No other religion refers to Jesus as God’s only begotten son. Not Islam. Not Judaism. Not Hinduism, or Buddhism. And for those who doubt the whole “dead” thing: Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. So it would have been easy for Himself to raise Himself from the dead.

(Okay, being very careful now. Lots of undetonated hydrogen bombs here.)

There are plenty of Scriptures that point to Jesus as the Messiah, and of His coming.

Yes, I know. You’re going to make me search the Bible for the specific Scriptures. Gee thanks, you just ruined my night of watching American Idol. Heh.

Okay. Matthew 4, chapter four for starters.

Matthew 4:4 is a direct reference to Psalm 91:11.
      Matthew 4:7 – a direct reference to Deuteronomy 6:16
      Matthew 4:10 – a direct reference to Deuteronomy 6:13

The devil left Jesus, and afterwards angels came to minister and assist Jesus (Matthew 4:11

Only Jesus Christ can save you. I hope you who don’t know Christ as your Savior will realize that. There is no hope outside of Christ. He paid the price, so that you can enter into Heaven. Without His sacrifice, the entire human race would have been condemmed to hell for eternity.

Only Jesus can save you. Not Mohammed. Not Mary. Not Buddha. Not that Rastafarian guy you worship. Kurt Cobain can’t save you, either. None of them died on a cross as a sacrifice for our collective sins.
        They are all still dead.

Jesus is not dead, for he is risen!. Go ahead, find his tomb. It’s empty.

Call upon Jesus today. Accept him as your Savior, ask Him to forgive your sins (we are all sinners – no matter how many righteous act you’ve done in your life, it is all filth before God’s eyes), and to make Him Lord of your life. If you truly and honestly believe this, you will be saved, and you will avoid spending forever in the Eternal Inferno.

Okay, I’m done witnessing for today…

Only you all can save yourselves!

      Was Jesus 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000001% human?
This was in response to a comment by Rod Martin Jr. in Google knol, where this article was first published. However, it is of general relevance also.

Rod you are a good friend and let me first of all thank you for your comments.

But, my dear friend you did not note the advice by Kierkgaard, which I prominently quoted in red color, in this article. Christianity is full of mysteries that can be accepted only on faith. Therefore, the Christians should never try to reason in favor of their faith. But, for those who insist on disregarding Kierkgaard’s insight, here is a mathematical pearl:

Christians tell me that Jesus is perfect God and perfect man. This will suggest that he is 100% man and 100% divine. But, there is a little catch!

Humans are finite beings and God is Infinite. As divinity was added to Jesus’ humanity, divinity by being infinite, terribly diluted his finite humanity. In a strict mathematical sense his humanity would have become diluted to zero by mixing of finite with infinite. But, as a courtesy and to maintain my friendship with Christians, I am assigning a small fraction as mentioned in the title of this comment. So, Jesus is hardly human and cannot serve as a role model for us!

This metaphor is not meant to be blunt or to irritate anyone but only to shake people enough to seriously consider Islamic theology. My apologies if anyone feels hurt. This mathematical calculation is a little shock and awe, just like Jesus, may peace be on him, delivered by turning the tables of the money changers in the Temple.

Please also consider, the First Council of Nicaea declared that the Father and the Son are of the same substance and are co-eternal. This belief was expressed in the Nicene Creed. Now, we are also told that Jesus is man and God, a hybrid (for lack of a better word), but, God the Father is only God? Paradox par excellence, can you see?

Allah and God the Father are the same and both the Christians and the Muslims fully understand the fatherly love of God and in Islam there are additional metaphors to suggest that God is more loving towards the humans than a kind and affectionate mother!

      • A concerned young AmeriCan Patriot

The whole point of faith, is that it is uncertain. Every faith is uncertain, uncertain in the way that it can not be proved to the general public, but certain in the hearts that follow it. You may believe differently, but I believe that there are three persons in one God. This can be represented (very crudely and inarticulately, but it does help some better understand Christianity) as one can be both a Father (teaching) a Son (learning) and a spirit of guidance to others. God is the father in that he created us. He is the son in that he is learning from us ( he is omniscient, and knows all, so he already knew what we would do, just bear with me). He is also the Holy Spirit who guides us through life, especially in hard times. This is not what I believe, it is just me trying to get someone outside of Christianity to see what it is a little like. Also, St. Patrick’s shamrock was a good explanation too. And Jesus is both fully human and fully divine, for his being was born when The Virgin Mary conceived him via the Holy Spirit, and gave birth to him. Born from THE divine Father, and the Blessed mortal mother Mary.

        • A concerned young AmeriCan Patriot

What I believe is the traditional Catholic way of teaching things, which is much more complex than my example. As Tiny Tim once said “God bless us, every one.”

Jesus is perfect man and fully divine?

Such exaggerations were possible when biology of homo sapiens was not known and it was not known that blue print of humans is locked in 46 chromosomes. This metaphor came about when heroes were raised to be gods. It was an atmosphere of holier than you. If your Emperor is divine than my leader is twice as much, or some how or the other, I need to outsmart and out-shine you.

Now that we have our biology and appreciate that God is Transcendent, beyond time, space and matter, we may as well restore humanity of Jesus.

    • Tao Man

Please take this religion stuff out of discussion. Religion is source of all evils. I hate Christianity.

Mark Hamilton commented about islam and how much it has to offer the world. I am not sure if he is aware of the methods in which muslims infiltrate a nation to “conquer” it for allah. I am not sure if he is also aware of the fact that once islam has a strong influence in a nation, in its political arena, it desires to implement “Sharia Law” in which islamic law becomes integrated into the laws of the land and eventually become the law of the land.

This is what is happening in America now. As the muslim poplulation grows, so does the possibility of Sharia law eventually being a part of America. If that happens, it will be too late, and the Americans who have their heads in the sand, focusing on reality shows and American Idol, will wonder what happened to the country.

Mark Hamilton needs to read up on islam a bit more to see what the prophet taught about conquest, infidels, jihad, and what the duty is of muslims should someone refuse to accept islam, or speak out against it. The wonderful, tolerant muslims that he is talking to, are not living obediant to their faith as the prophet commanded.

I do not despise muslims at all, in fact, I pray they would find out the Truth as to who Jesus Christ really is. But, the rapid growth of islam and its ideaologies, is something that should concern freedom loving people everywhere.

    • Gay Veteran

you obviously do not believe in freedom if you don’t believe in freedom of religion

      • WM

Gay Veteran: Where does Freedom start and where does it end? I believe in freedom. What if I believe that I have the freedom to molest young boys, am I right? Should I enjoy that freedom?

You believe in freedom, ok, what is the standard of how far freedom can go until it comes to a point where the freedoms are actually affecting and hurting society? If you want to worship your couch in your living room, thats your right. But, if your freedoms have a negative affect on society, outside of your home or breaks the laws of the land, then, I guess I don;t believe in absoulute freedom with no boundaries.

Many cultures in the past believed that scarificing human beings was part of their religion. If they lived in modern day America, would you say that they have a right to practice their religion under the veil of “freedom of religion”? Freedom of religion becomes very realative and open ended if there are no boundaries set.

Cohabitation, fornication, pornography, adultery, homosexuality, murder, theft, etc. are human behavior that is contrary to Christian principles. Why? because the “fruits” or effects of this behavior actually has a negative effect on society.

So, to say that we are Americans and we are free to do whatever we want, is really a way of saying that we don’t want anyone telling us what we can or cannot do, but never really stop to consider the dangers of open ended, unbridled “freedom”.

Hey, why not just eliminate all law, and say we are free to do whatever we want to do?

        • Gay Veteran

gee WM, how about this? you can do whatever you want to do so long as you don’t harm others?

molest young boys (gee, wonder why you brought that up)? no, because you are harming them

now was that so difficult to understand?

          • WM

And pornography, adultery, theft, lying, fornication often do not end up “hurting” people physically, ( like murder, rape, etc) but it hurts society on many different physiological and pscychological levels. So if I want to steal or cheat as long as it does not “hurt” anyone, then thats ok according to your suppositions. And lets not forget fornication, (premarital sex), thats feels good right, and it really doesn’t “hurt” anyone, or does it? And pornography, hey whats so bad with looking at naked woman on the internet?

There is not enough space here to give you statistical facts both from studies and personal experience, the dangers of all these sins, but we live in America, we shopuld be FREE to do whatever we want, as long as it does not directly, immedietly hurt another, right?

          • Hammond

The old society ruled by Church was not good either. People need to re-invent themselves that’s it. Religion is not the solution.

Christian societies have all the issues. Families are broken, relations have lost their values and there is low morality. Come out of religion, just be a good human being.

    • Mark Hamilton

I despise any religion that feels the need to conquer and control. Islam is guilty of this as you seem to be well aware. The oppression and violence that has been conducted by leaders of Muslim countries is often horrific. However you shot down your entire argument by saying ‘they need to find Jesus Christ’. Is that not a desire on your part to spread your religion? If you had it your way would America and the rest of the world be living according to Christian values and the Bible? If you believe that, then as the Veteran above says, you don’t believe in freedom of religion.

Freedom of religion doesn’t mean you get to be “free” of other religions, it means all people are able to practice the religion of their choice, Islam included.

      • WM

Mark Hamilton: You make some good points. IF, the Bible is true, then for people to find Jesus, who he is, what he did, and why we need him,is the greatest thing a person could do. Again, IF the Bible is true, then Jesus is the only way to the father, and the only way to be made righteous before a Holy God, and be saved from the wrath that is to come. So, yes, my desire is that the world would be followers of Jesus Christ.

I agree that all should be allowed to practice their faith, however, when that “faith” holds to worldviews and ideologies that other human beings will supress people and force people to adhere to that religion or die, then I guess I don;t believe that said group has a right to spread their religion.

Freedom Of Choice is a great example of freedoms gone astray. Do I think abortion is wrong and it is murder? Absoulutely yes! I think it has been very clearly demonstrated, ( through modern technological advances and instruments) that it is indeed a human being in the womb of a pregnant woman.

Does a woman have freedom to choose whatever she wants to do to her body? Absoulutely yes!!! BUT, if that freedom involves another person, then I believe that she does NOT have the right to force her decision to be “free”, on another human being, especially when it means violent death for that other human being.

When sharia law becomes law of a land, muslims can FORCE non-believers or infidels to convert or die, get tortured, get arrested, go to jail, etc. because that is the new “law”

        • Hammond

Stop being scared, nothing of that sort gonna happen. I have many Moslem friends and by no way they look any radical. In fact they are so nice. So stop worrying unnecessarily

WM, gee, theft does hurt other people. Can’t believe you can’t understand the concept of harm.

does premarital sex harm? possibly, if one partner mistreats the other. but then that is true even for marriage

Oh, I forgot to add a prayer given at the first congress in 1774. Notice the mention of Jesus Christ at the end. Oh, if Congress who pray like this today, maybe the storm clouds of judgment that are coming on America, would be lifted.

The Prayer in the First Congress, A.D. 1774

O Lord our Heavenly Father, high and mighty King of kings, and Lord of lords, who dost from thy throne behold all the dwellers on earth and reignest with power supreme and uncontrolled over all the Kingdoms, Empires and Governments; look down in mercy, we beseech Thee, on these our American States, who have fled to Thee from the rod of the oppressor and thrown themselves on Thy gracious protection, desiring to be henceforth dependent only on Thee. To Thee have they appealed for the righteousness of their cause; to Thee do they now look up for that countenance and support, which Thou alone canst give. Take them, therefore, Heavenly Father, under Thy nurturing care; give them wisdom in Council and valor in the field; defeat the malicious designs of our cruel adversaries; convince them of the unrighteousness of their Cause and if they persist in their sanguinary purposes, of own unerring justice, sounding in their hearts, constrain them to drop the weapons of war from their unnerved hands in the day of battle!
Be Thou present, O God of wisdom, and direct the councils of this honorable assembly; enable them to settle things on the best and surest foundation. That the scene of blood may be speedily closed; that order, harmony and peace may be effectually restored, and truth and justice, religion and piety, prevail and flourish amongst the people. Preserve the health of their bodies and vigor of their minds; shower down on them and the millions they here represent, such temporal blessings as Thou seest expedient for them in this world and crown them with everlasting glory in the world to come. All this we ask in the name and through the merits of Jesus Christ, Thy Son and our Savior.
    Reverend Jacob Duché
Rector of Christ Church of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

      from the Treaty of Tripoli

As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion,—as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen,—and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.

      • Ryan

        Quite true!

  • Tim

Is the continuing growth of Islam in the USA necessarily a bad thing vis-a-vis Christianity? The Muslims are closer to Christianity than any other religious group on Earth; they believe in both Jesus and Mary (and the virgin birth of Jesus etc). In fact, Muslims would argue that they are the ‘real’ Christians!

    • WM

Are you kidding me???????????????????? True Christians believe that Jesus was God incarnate, that he actually died for sin, and rose again and is seated at the right hand of the Father. Muslims do NOT believe in the same “jesus” that Biblical Christians do.

muslims believe that the Bible was someohow corrupted, and that Muhhamad was the prophet, and that “god” gave him the corrected revelation.

Even the demons “believe in Jesus”.

muslims can argue all day long that they ar the “real” Christians, but they are not. It is a false religion created by satan to decieve people and cause confusion in the world and to draw attention away from the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone deserves worship, honor and Glory forever, amen.

      • mondobeyondo

Yes, demons believe very much in Jesus.
They tremble at His name, and flee when His name is mentioned.
I also believe in Jesus. But I don’t tremble at the mention of His name.
        I praise Him.
Those who deny Jesus on earth, He will deny them in heaven.

        • Ryan

          Who is Jesus?

      • Tim

        1. Jesus Never Calls Himself God

The Bible contains many verses in which Jesus speaks of God as a separate person to himself. Here are just a few of them:

When a man addressed Jesus as “Good Teacher”, he replied “Why do you call me good? No one is good except the one God.’’ [Mark 10:18]

In another instance he says “I can’t do anything by myself. Whatever I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just. I don’t seek my own will but the will of the one who sent me.” [John 5:30]

Jesus speaks of God as a separate being to himself: I’m going up to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. [John 20:17]
In this verse he affirms that he was sent by God: This is eternal life: to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you sent. [John 17:3]

If Jesus was God he would have told people to worship him, but he did the opposite and disapproved anyone worshipping him: And in vain they worship Me [Matthew 15:9]

If Jesus claimed to be God than there should be hundreds of verses in the Bible which would have mentioned it. But there is not a single verse in the entire Bible in which Jesus says I am God, worship me.

        2. Jesus as Son and Lord?

Jesus is sometimes referred to as ‘Lord’ in the Bible and at other times as ‘Son of God’. God is called the ‘Father’, so putting these names together it could be claimed that Jesus is the son of God. But if we look at each of these titles in context we will find that they are symbolic and not to be taken literally.

‘Son of God’ is a term used in ancient Hebrew for a righteous person. God calls Israel his ‘son’: This is what the LORD says: Israel is my oldest son.[Exodus 4:22]. Also, David is called the ‘Son of God’: The LORD has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.’ [Psalm 2:7]. In fact anyone who is righteous is referred to as God’s ‘son’: All who are led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons and daughters. [Romans 8:14].

In the same way, when the word ‘Father’ is used to refer to God it shouldn’t be taken literally. Instead it’s a way of saying God is the creator, sustainer, cherisher etc. There are many verses for us to understand this symbolic meaning of the word ‘Father’, for example: one God and Father of all. [Ephesians 4:6].

Jesus is sometimes called ‘Lord’ by the disciples. ‘Lord’ is a term used for God and also for people who are held in high esteem. There are many examples of the word ‘Lord’ being used for people in the Bible: So they (Joseph’s brothers) went up to Joseph’s steward and spoke to him at the entrance to the house. “We beg your pardon, our lord,” they said. [Genesis 43:19-20]. Also, in other parts of the Bible, Jesus is even called a ‘servant’ of God by the disciples: the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. [Acts 3:13]. This clearly shows that when ‘Lord’ is used to refer to Jesus, it is a title of respect not of divinity.

        • r.bitting

Um, wrong answer Tim. . . John10:30 ” I and my Father are one”. If you read ahead to verse 33, you will see that the Jews were attempting to stone Jesus because He was claiming to be God. After you are done there, go back and read John1:1-5.

          • Ryan

Bible has so contradictory statements. It’s all about different versions. The actual Bible, of course, didn’t have John 10:30. Still present in Vatican Archive.

      • Gay Veteran

demons? is that Gog and Magog?

      • Ryan

Muslims are definitely not Christians but yes Jesus Christ was a messenger of Islam. The satan deceived his followers to think that he is actually a God. Only God deserves to be prayed and Jesus (PBUH), just like Mohammed (PBUH) is NOT a god. Amen.

    • mondobeyondo

Muslims do not believe in Jesus Christ as the resurrected Son of God. That is my understanding…

  • Tim Z.

Are there any who keep and do Gods commandments? Gods statutes? A Christian is a person whom through the way they live life keep and do the will of God. It is the lifestyle of ones own choice in choosing Gods way instead of mans way.

Now people call themselves Christian simply by going to a particular building on a given day. Most women wear paint and perfume. Most men wear suits and cologne. Most people “look like Christians” but really, how many even tries to live life as God says? Hmm? Most of these same people get angry and some even hostile when it is shown to them clearly in Gods word we call the Holy Bible, how one should live. Do their hearts yet remain unchanged?

Let us each keep our souls for the day Jesus Christ returns for His people. Let us count ourselves worthy. Jesus explained we are to live only like Him and not as any other. This is the church of people that Jesus built without hands. Individuals which make up the whole; Always doing the will of God in the way they live.

The works of a Christian is the way that a Christian lives life. Not following any but Jesus is the only way one will succeed. Not by the attitude of I’ll seek not Gods opinion and explanations, definitions, etc, but those of men instead.

There are way too many websites and books that offer everything but the word of God. They make their opinions more appealing than the Holy Bible (Gods word) and confuse (Lead astray comes to my mind?) many. You decide, but please be very careful.

Now about opinions and the multitudes of them out there, I pray you instead read, learn, and live the word of God, and I am talking about letting God talk to you through His words written in His book we call the Holy Bible and applying them to your individual life.

You, too, must admit there are just way too many books other than the Holy Bible that Christians desire over the Holy Bible which is Gods word; and honestly, the Holy Bible is the only one we really need. God says we can know all we need through His word. So please be careful of all the so called Christian literature, and especially the ones that breed fear, confusion, and other evils in your heart and mind.

I am quite satisfied that God does want us to know and understand eschatology. But, Do you think for one second that God wants us to make eschatology a (our) god? Think again, because satan is fooling the masses again by this. People are creating websites, writing tons of books, and making tons of money (read 1 Timothy 6:10: “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”) on the end times, and then they attempt to convince you that they don’t. This leads people away from the true God and makes for you a new god out of peoples interpretations and such.

Worship God in truth and spirit as Gods word (the Holy Bible) says. Your soul is in your keeping. Your life now and eternally depends upon it. Stop listening and believing men because they say the bible says so but they will explain it to you. Read the bible for yourself and study. Do research. Pray often. God made it sure that all are without excuse. Again, That is, read the Holy Bible.

Any book by any author for any purpose other than to proclaim Gods word should be scrutinized
extremely well. Especially if it doesn’t proclaim Gods good news messages such as salvation through Jesus Christ and the good news of the coming of His kingdom here on earth. There is so much more.

May God bless all who seek His wisdom.

    • Michael

      Very thought provoking comment.

I do hope that everyone reading this will understand that choosing to follow Jesus Christ is the most important decision that any person can make.

For much more on this, check out the following animated presentation….

And Tim you are right – even most Christians these days do not keep a lot of God’s Commandments.

If there is something in the Bible that they don’t like, they just say that it is “not for today”.

      • Hey Michael, interesting ‘Creator or Liar?’ tract. I disagree with the 7th image which relates to this post.

God chose Abraham who was from Babylon because of his faith. In Genesis 17:4-6 God told him “As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of MANY nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make NATIONS of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.”

So Abraham is the father of many nations, not just Israel.

In Genesis 17:20 God responded to Abraham about his son Ishmael, the father of the Arabs, “And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.”

So God has blessed the Arabs.

But the promises that God made to Abraham are to ‘spiritual Israel’, those who have faith in God, not to the physical nation of Israel.

Galations 3:16 says “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.”

Galatians 3:27-28 says “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

So if an Arab professes Jesus as Lord, then they are a heir. If anyone from any race professes Jesus as Lord, then they are a heir.

God is not a racist who just chose one physical nation, Israel. The spiritual house of Israel, who serves Jesus, is composed of people from all races and nations.

One final point: most Jews reject Jesus as their Messiah.

The Koran at least has good things to say about Jesus, though they don’t believe that He is God. The Jewish Babylonian Talmud says that Jesus is in hell, which is blasphemy and antichrist.

Too many ‘Christians’ condemn the Arabs and praise the Jews, but Jesus said that the Jews are left desolate until they say ‘blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord’. And in Revelation, Jesus called Jerusalem ‘Sodom and Egypt’.

Along with scrutinizing books, it would be a good idea to scrutinize today’s cultures and contributions of the cultures to the world.

  • RevolutionSolution

I’m SO happy that the Christian myth is finally coming to its rightful end! I’m so sick of Christianity’s fake egotistic, mind-controlled, fanatical belief system I could hurl. Christians (for the most part from my own experience) are narrow-minded, non-thinking, self-righteous sheeple who think that they own the universe and that they have all rights and claim to the truth (truth is subjective btw). They are the most intolerant silly class of people I have ever encountered in this life. From what I’ve experienced, Muslims ARE MORE Christ-like than Christians could ever hope to be! I welcome my brothers and sisters of the Muslim faith into this country! Salaam!

    • Michael

Before you get too cocky, you might want to check out this story of a Muslim that was raised from the dead….

Guess which God he believes in now?

      • gary2

      • Aaron

Just a story.. they produce one (from every belief system) every other day..

    • Yes, I agree, the “Christian myth” should come to its rightful end.

Jesus life, his ministry and his death on a cross are documented historical facts. He claims this he is God, that he died for the sins of the world, that he rose from the dead, that he ascended into heaven, and that he will come again to gather those who serve him as Lord and Savior.

We can conclude that Jesus is either a liar; or that he’s delusional; or that he is God.

So there’s no myth, just a very important decision for you to make.

btw, we should get rid of the myth that “truth is subjective”, because it’s a truth statement that invalidates itself! :-o

      • Aaron

To accept Christ as God is so illogical, it makes no sense

    • mondobeyondo

Christianity is not a myth. It’s the truth.
Sorry, not buying what you’re selling.

    • r.bitting

Revolutionsolution. . .”Truth is subjective” . . . Theres no way you live that out in your own life. That’s the most ridiculous thing i’ve ever heard. So if someone thinks that red is blue, then he or she is right?

Yeah right, just compare what the Christian dominated countries have given to the world and what the Muslim dominated countries have contributed to the world and you will find your answer.

      • Phillip Raymond

Christians has given nothing but but endless chaos, wars, hatred etc etc.. Muslims have given nothing significant either.. Science has given a lot, though

        • jbr

Agreed completely, and where has science developed the most and why?

  • Piglet

It may give you some relief to know that a great many Muslims pay as much attention to their religion as most Christians do their own. My Iraqi coworker has told me countless stories of sin and debauchery by Arab friends that would astound you.

    • Guest

Please ask him to publish it so that all those who praise Muslim culture and rights for women, etc come to know about it. Other culture are open about their problems, Muslim cultures are not, so people get the mistaken view that all is fine and dandy in Muslim countries, when the problems there are much worse.

is there a muslim version of Gog and Magog? That is what I really want to know.

Their version of heaven having 72 virgins sure seems like more fun than singing hymns and praising God all day in the chriastan heaven.

I just hope they have an ample supply of viagra in their heaven! Maybe I could come and visit as a non muslim. They would not miss one or two of the 72 virgins………

      • gary2

I was simply trying to be funny. I can’t help the gog magog thing as it really no offense reminds me of a godzilla movie and I could not believe who ever said it was being serious but many thought he was.

        • vancouver mark

It was sort of tediously funny the first time you mentioned it, Gary. Now it’s become just tedious, and sort of tediously offensive, tiresomely predictable and just plain sad.

The fact that unbelievers have such a desperate urge to mock the word of God is another sign of how wrong they are…
And saying “no offense” after blaspheming God and mocking His word really won’t help, so why bother? You know you WANT to offend, Gary. We all know it, and how tedious it has become.
But take heart, it’s still not too late for you.
Gog and Magog are still preparing their armies so you still have time…

  • Chris

In the UK it is indeed a similar situation. I would say though that the allowed excessive immigration and promotion of Islam and political correctness has been a useful tool for those who want to destroy Christianity and national sovereignty. I doubt that those people have any great like for Islam either.

Why did your article not mention another religious group Michael, the Masons?
What percentage of the American population are Masons? Or Satanists/Luciferians? What percentage of your politicians are Masons?

If as one of the above posters said lets get rid of all religious then lets make sure we get rid of the Masons and Satanists and Occultists first.

  • Raed

We admire America for being a place open to people from different races and religiouns. Islam shouldn’t fear any one.

    • Guest

yes, but an open culture cannot allow a closed culture from undermining its open-ness, can it? After a certain percentage of population, they will ask for sharia instead of independent judiciary and separation of church and state will go for a toss. Christians have fought hard for centuries to establish things like separation of church and state. Do you want to give that away?

      • Van Dyk

Don’t worry, this will not happen. Most American Muslims assimilate in society well. There is strong cohesiveness and most of the people are tolerant. Don’t try to spread hatred. And America is not just of Christians, it is much ours (atheists) and others too

        • Guest

If it doesn’t happen great. But, it is happening in the UK, is it not? Or, will you be blind to it. Once again, to make myself clear, I am not bothered about religion, but about progressive ideals. I’m not saying X should convert to Y, but any religion (whether it is the Catholic Church, fundamentalist Hindu or radical Islam) should not undermine progressivism. That much should be acceptable to everybody, is it not?

        • Guest

No need for anyone to spread hatred. Just asking you to keep your eyes open. Not a religion issue, but protect your constitution. Cheers.

I once spent an entire week in a Muslim country: Morocco. I was never attacked by any jihadists. However, I was hounded to death by touts trying to sell me carpets. And in Morocco, the touts never take no for an answer. A tout in Marrakech once tried to sell me a Terminator DVD I could have cared less about, and even though he seemed to be proficient in several languages, he didn’t understand, “Je n’aime pas schlocky Hollywood action movies.”

    • Daniel

Morrocco has less than 1.9% of Muslim populations, and you met only few of Moroccans. So do not benchmark your Morocco 1 week experience as experience with Muslims. Muslims are highly peace-loving and harmonious people who welcome people whole-heartedly (except few places where their are fanatic and their population is less than 0.0001%

  • Larry

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark on their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

What religion beheads its enemies today….You guessed it, Islam. What more can be said.

    • What more can be said? Well, Revelation 20:4 is talking about people who were killed because they refused to worship the beast, which is not Islam.

The great Protestant Reformers and Theologians like Calvin, Luther, Wycliffe, Tyndale, Wesley, Spurgeon, etc., all believe that the Roman Catholic Church is the beast of Revelation, and the Pope is the “man of perdition”.

The RCC killed upwards of 100 million ‘heretics’, mostly Christians, who wouldn’t follow their rules and worship the Pope.

So the ‘religion’ that kills its enemies is the fake Christian religion of Roman Catholicism.

Revelation says that the beast will be revived in the end times to make war with the saints, which would be you if you’re a Christian.

So maybe you should get to know the real enemy :-o

  • Kevin

i personally believe that the fastest growing religion in the US is no religion at all.

  • Lets just make the facts fit whatever you already believe
This link says it is not
    this says Mormonism is
    This one says Christianity
    This one says non-religious/atheists are,1518,777281,00.html

You think Christians are persecuted, try being an atheist.
Indoctrination from birth is the only way I can think any intelligent person could believe this fairytale. Just because you wish something were true(an eternal afterlife) doesn’t make it so.
Instead of hating and fearing people because they don’t believe in the same man made deity or any at all, why not educate yourselves and improve the only lives we will ever have.. this one.
Imagine if everyone helped and loved their fellow man instead of a tyrant in the sky.
Do you care whether your beliefs are true? At least hear the other side.
    Atheist Experience

I agree with you all the way. I am an athiest as well.

    • r.bitting

Brian, if you claim that Christianity is a fairy tale, then please present what exactly it is that we should all be believing, because clearly, you have it all figured out and we want your wisdom too. And if you don’t mind, please provide the basis on which you believe what it is you believe ( so that we will all be able to give an answer to him who asks us about the hope that we have ). In addition Sir, if you would please, in your explanation, include your beliefs in regard to the origin of the universe ( you know, just in case anyone thinks that it might be important and wants to ask us, so we can be prepared to defend our new theology and convince the masses of our new blind faith, er, yes thats correct, blind faith ) . . . Thanks.

I was interested in learning about the Islam religion, so I began to read the Koran. I am familiar with the stories from the Bible after having read the Old Testament and the four Gospels. Well, as I read the Koran, I began to feel that the stories of Abraham, Noah, and other Biblical figures were not the stories I had read in the Bible, and, after reading the first 20 Suras, I had enough of the Koran. (I also didn’t like the tone of the Koran – it didn’t feel welcoming to me.) The closest parallel I can think of is this – In Moby Dick, the novel, Captain Ahab is killed by the whale, yet in a film made in the interbellum years between WWI and WWII, Captain Ahab kills the whale and comes home to his wife.

As for the future of religion in America, I believe this country by 2100 will be home to two of the Abrahamic religions – Christianity and Islam. I believe from what I have read on the future of Judaism that this religion will have faded into nothingness by this year. Unlike the other two religions, Judaism is not welcoming to converts.

One of the lessons I learned from studying Judaism is why Christianity became the more successful of the two religions. Who would want to join a religion where you aren’t considered a full member with benefits upon conversion and those benefits are accrued to your descendants (Judaism) when you can join a religion and receive full benefits upon conversion (Christianity)? Islam, like Christianity, is an expansionistic religion.

For me, the major issue with both Islam and Christianity is that some of the loudest voices are also the most bigoted. I believe that the quiet ones stand by the sides, and meekly let these thugs dominate their religion

  • Magdiel

If this trend continues to be like this,I foresee persecution against the Christians within 40 to 50 years from now,as soon as this generation passes away! Well, after all it is prophesied in the Bible is it not? Christ is coming soon!!

How could anyone look at the beauty and wonder in the psyical world and not realize there is a GOD , if this planet was moved a small amount of distance from the sun , we and the animals and the vegatation would not be here the same thing if we were moved closer to our sun. Just the detail of our brains or our DNA alone screams GOD . For me its a leap to not believe in GOD and in the christian Holy Bible he has inspired his Holy Word , the prophecies that have came true in the bible would cause any true thinker to see the inspired word is real and put there for all peoples to read and to come to the knowledge that he is the Great I AM . The Bible tells of Jesus 700 years before his birth in more than one book by authors who wrote diffrent books not knowing that they would ever be collected into one Book of Books. IN Isaiah Jesus death was spoken of in great detail in the 53rd chapter and one day the jews will come to realize this also when God takes the blinders off after the believing gentiles have been removed from the planet by GOD in the rapture . Look at Israel a people that the devil has tried to destroy over and over but just as GOD said would happen they are once again a nation and they will never be removed again from there land God has spoken of all these things its as plain as the noses on our faces whats happening , how people don’t want to heaR IT BUT ITS REAL NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU TRY AND RUN FROM IT , Get on YOUR knees an ask him to show his self to you , you’ll be surprised listen to your inner voice after your prayer for him to show himself , give it a week or so may be sooner may be latter. May God bless you all

For all you people that posted anti-Muslim sentiments, remember that you elected the leaders that are letting this uncontrolled immigration happen. Time will tell whether this was a wise move. I’m more afraid of atheists that want to remove Christian symbols from innocuous locations!

    • Guest

As long as atheists are liberal people and dislike all religions, there is nothing to be afraid of. Don’t let Islam take advantage of conflict between Christians and atheists. Islam is worse than atheism.

Great thing about Islam is that it is the only religion in the world that is anti-feminist.

So, once Islam spreads widely, feminism is finished.

Why does Islam consider its job to give women their rights? That itself is wrong. Rights are enshrined in constitutions of countries, not in religions, just in case you are still stuck in the middle ages. Most of the conversion are because of active efforts to mislead people. It is easy to brain wash a few people.

          • Lakshmaiah K

You are frustration because scores of Hindus are getting converted to Islam, Christianity and Buddhism whether in Orissa, Andhra, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, MP, Karnataka, TN, Kerala, UP, or North-east states, everywhere! Its not misleading. They have seen the evils of Hindu society and want to come out of it. We Indians actually mock our own constitution by our extremist ideologies and low morality in our society. High level of communism and fascism in our government.

El Pollo, re: “I once spent an entire week in a Muslim country: Morocco. I was never attacked by any jihadists.” Is this supposed to be proof that Islam is therefore peaceful and intends to harm no one? Visit the website,, for another view; it documents every single known act of terrorist violence by Muslims since 9-11-2001, on a global basis. Things like little girls in Indonesia being executed for the “crime” of trying to attend school, and in Thailand, old men being murdered for trying to attend a Christian church. Or maybe a teenaged girl in Copenhagen thrown to her death out of a high window because she “dishonored” her family by dating a non-Muslim. Read and learn the true nature of Islam… trust me, it isn’t kindly carpet vendors trying to sell you their wares.

    • El Pollo de Oro

I wouldn’t describe the carpet vendors and aggressive touts of Marrakech, Tangier, Rabat and Casablanca as “kindly”—more like the telemarketers who call 20 times a day, or used car salesmen. “Bon jour, monsieur. Je m’appelle Ahmed. Voulez-vouz acheter un tapis? Voila….seulment 1000 dirham pour mon tapis. C’est belle, n’est-ce pas?”

    • Omar

So instead of reading the Quran, reading and understanding narration a of prophet Mohammed or really actually knowing a Muslim you just pick on what people of the religion do. Try to remember that it was the Muslim army under khaled ibn Waleed that defeated the Byzantines who wanted to annihilate the Jews in Arabia and Iran. Remember the crusades and salahuddin and his mercy. Remover Andalusian Spain and the advances in medicine and education under the rule of Muslims, remember the caliphate which most of these advances came from was uprooted by Christian countries and now Muslims in the Arab world are a mess and r trying to get back to the caliphate r called radicals. Believe it or not Muslim countries don’t like Christians because the invasions of our countries and dividing us. And if u do go to the Middle East more than likely they won’t give a fuck just don’t start anything. Just one more thing to remember that Christian European countries benefit more from the middle eastern Muslim countries to exploit them and take natural resources and put puppet regimes into play ex hosing Mubarak, Ali Abdallah Saleh, zain al abide em Ben Ali of Tunisia, bashar at and hafiz al Assad, saddam Hussein so please understand who r the real cruel ones and who wants violence and instability for the other. It just amazes me how ignorant people r and how easily they like pointing the finger at Muslims us Muslim minarets are banned in many places in Europe so is the niqab and even the hijab. If Europeans and Christians let Muslims govern themselves we will be better economically and politically that’s why they present their way of life as better even though it is failing all over western civilization.

In your last post, “16 Signs……..” you list the #1 reason is

It is not stupid to prepare, whatever reason cause you to prepare…

You are a Christian who must believe in Revelation and that the world will end some time? You write of economic, moral and other types of systemic failure in the world today. Can they not be part of End Time theology? There are all kinds of prophesy about 2012 being not the “end of the world” but perhaps “the end of the world as we know it” or TEOTWAWKI, as in the Mayan, Chinese, and Hopi traditions???? There are many many signs that these are troubling times and that they will get worse before (if) they get better.

Who is to say whether these things are leading us to the End of Days foretold, or just the end of the world as we currently know it? Either way we need to encourage the sheeple to wake up and get ready.

    • Michael

I am certainly not saying it is stupid to prepare.

And in the book of Revelation it tells us that this world is not going to end any time soon.

The “world as we know it” may end, but the world is not going to end any time in the near future according to the Bible.

      • knightowl77

….”but the world is not going to end any time in the near future according to the Bible.”

Agree….I think that a lot of people equate the end of the world as we know it, with the end of the world. Obviously they are different, but that distinction may not register with a majority of the poll’s respondents… ;-)

  • knightowl77

the entire blockquote disappeared…mea culpa…this was supposed to be the quote

#1 According to a poll recently conducted for Reuters, about 10 percent of the entire global population is convinced that we could witness the end of the world in 2012. When we get to 2013, a similar poll will probably find that 10 percent of the entire global population is convinced that the world may not survive until 2014.

? what do you means by “Islam is that it is the only religion in the world that is anti-feminist”
Islam is the religion that Valorizes both Men & women
Islam emphasize to All kind of Science and any thing that is good for human
If you see the growth of muslem in USA is 68%
    it is not high
It is very LOW according to Greatness of ISLAM
Freemasonry & Satan & those who are against Islam never let you inform about ISLAM or understand ISLAM really

  • This is more of a symptom that anything else. It indicates serious and fundamental problems with the people and country. It is just one more sign of decline by abandoning the things that made us great.

Historically, the decline of an empire, financial trouble affecting its rivals and ethnic conflict represent the most dangerous period. The age of upheaval has started.

All reglions are a product of mental illness. Morman, Muslin, christianity, e,g. And if any have an open mind look at the dark ages when christians slaughtered millions of peole because of reglion, Jim Jones had 911 people slaughtered because of reglion, I was at Dover AFB when a C-5 brought the bodies back in body bags. You can go to the web and research reglion and mental illness, there is also a video on you tube called God’s final warning the only think I don’t like about it is what they say about the Mayans.

    • r.bitting

Karen, Not believing in a creator God is the greatest mental illness one could have. Should’nt you be concerned by the fact that you can’t provide the answer to the question of the origin of the universe apart from a creator? Would’nt you be better served trying to better understand the very concept that you are by default, endorsing, that being, that the universe came out of nothing? ( because that’s what you just said, whether you realize it or not). Talk about blind faith and fairly tales. You are the person the bible describes in Romans Ch. 1. Why not rather do your own research into the claims of Jesus Christ and the validity of the bible, and then arrive at your own conclusion, instead of regurgitating the lies those around you would have you believe. Plenty of resources out there, and I believe that Michael probably has some links to get you started as well.

I’ve worked with Muslims. Loyal, honest, hard-working people – in general. All these scare stories are to legitimize the US using its military to steal these people’s oil.

They are either the best friends U could ever have as they will fight by your side until the end. But, they are also the most fearsome enemy U could ever have as they are not afraid to die like most people. They are not wimps like most so-called “believers” I meet.

The American people have been duped into fighting the whole Muslim world. Suckers. Now, the US economy will collapse along with Europe & the dollar, handing the #1 to China on a silver plate. What a stupid population we have in the USA.

    • Guest

Yes, but you won’t find them to be liberal or supporters of individual liberty. They will go by the book and that is a huge impediment to human progress. You should also not mistake superficial friendships with reliable relationships.

      • Nishant Saket

No stereotyping please. Individuals are both good and bad and so are Muslims or anyone.

America was never a “Christian nation”. That’s propaganda & lies. The country was set up to escape religious polarization & to escape religious persecution. The Founders were atheists & humanists. If America was a Christian nation, it would’ve collapsed from Crusades set up by fanatics a long time.

The present wars in the Middle East are modern-day Crusades. No 1 can prove their “religion” is the true 1 any way.

    • jaxon64

scary to think that you are a teacher of any kind…how can someone be so ignorant of historical fact about one’s own country and become a teacher, but then again this is the Govt education system of the US which is one of the poorest in the whole world….now I can see why. ( your probably a Keynesian also–even with over 100 trillion of unfunded liabilities staring us in the face)

  • Economics Teacher

The USA won’t be a Christian or Muslim or any religion nation. @ the end of empire, religion takes a backseat.

The USA will be & is now a FASCIST nation, controlled by corporations for the benefit of the rich elite.

    • El Pollo de Oro

Economics Teacher: Yes, that is exactly what The Banana Republic of America (formerly the USA) will be: a fascist country, ruled by a corrupt and despotic oligarchy. And fear will be one of the BRA police state’s favorite methods of control and subjugation—scare Boobus America enough, and Boobus America (to borrow a phrase from Philly’s late Libertarian talk show host Irv Homer) will gladly give up liberty for “security.”

  • El Pollo de Oro

Here are some quotes that accurately describe what is taking place in the BRA as the imperialist empire collapses:

“How about that wonderful National Defense Authorization Act? You know, the one Obama signed on New Year’s Eve. You can arrest Americans—no jury, no trial, no habeas corpus rights, no attorney. The military can come and take you away, and you can never be heard from again.”—Gerald Celente

“In eleven years, the Bush/Obama Regime repealed 800 years of human achievements that established law as a shield of the people and, instead, converted law into a weapon in the hands of the government.”—Paul Craig Roberts

“These globalists hate humanity and enjoy ugliness and pain and raw power. They love raw power so much.”—Alex Jones

“We’re in the midst of a financial crash, and they want the Gestapo in place to keep the people in place because when the money stops flowing dow to the man on the street, the blood begins flowing in the streets.”—Gerald Celente

“It’s Fascism 2.0, the merger of state and corporate powers. Next train to Auschwitz, all aboard! No need to worry about those calories—kiss them goodbye.”—Gerald Celente

Based on the same reason Christianity is a true religion.

And if u can proove that Islam is wrong and what u r following is correct..u may feel free to mail me ur views at

  • We NEVER were a “Christian nation”, Christ is absent from any Founding documents and only vague “creator” references are made, largely owing to fact that man-man, the Founders were not devote Christians, many were Unitarians or non-beleivers and mocked strict Christian thought. Many were Freemasons, others Enlightenment liberals. Washington would never state for record he was a Christian, though privately he stated beleifs closer to Unitarianism, as did Jefferson. He also mocked those that asked him and were practicing Christians. Again ,read the founding documents, 1775 and onward…….no Christ in there. Mass. Bay, yes, other colonies, yes. Constitution, Declaration,etc-no mention and again, look at signers and authors for what they thought, not good. George III, devote Anglican. So, makes ya wonder if US revolt a dry run for more successful French Masonic revolt.

    • Guest

yes, keep it from becoming an Islamic nation too. Keep it tolerant of all ideas (and most of all the individual liberty and enlightenment ideals) like a true liberal civilization should be. Those ideals, separate from religion don’t have any place in Islam.

      • XoXo

It should never become a country like India has. Full of fundamentalists and extremist Hindus.

        • jbr

Sure, but its irrelevant to my point. No islamic nation believes in liberalism and enlightenment ideals. Turkey probably did but not sure about today. Why is this the case?

  • Mormonism rising fast, another non-Christian group with Christian sounding lingo……..the do not beleive in many fundamentals of Christ that true Catholic or Protestants beleive.

    • Gay Veteran

LOL, a lot of fundamentalist Christians think the Catholic Church is a cult

and they ALL claim they know the truth

  • Now, the Christian apologists could be writhing in pain and anger and asking a host of questions, for example, why are you cherry picking? Why don’t you take the holistic picture and appreciate the message of compassion in the Bible? Why do you not hear the message of Jesus Christ of turning the other cheek? Muslims can say yes we accept Jesus as a kind hearted prophet of God and the Holy Prophet Muhammad in the Quran has been called as a mercy for the whole mankind, based on his conduct towards all people that he dealt with in his life time.[ii] Now I can hear through the grapevines, the Christian apologists offering host of explanations, for these verses! They are saying statements like, there are different explanations of these verses in different Judeo-Christian traditions and sects, the Old Testament has been superseded by the New Testament, do not take these verses literally in our present times, look at the context of these verses in time and history. I say yes my dear, yes indeed, the Muslims have explanations also, for the so called ‘sword verse’ of the Holy Quran and other similar verses that sometimes hatemongers like to obsess about and the USA national media unilaterally comments on, fairly regularly![iii] Let the discussions begin, as we hold hearings about the Holy Quran in different juries across the West, let us be fair and reasonable and put the Bible on trial as well. Last but not the least, the Christian apologists tell me that even if these verses are there in the Bible, so what, we do not take Bible seriously anymore and do not act on the Biblical injunctions anymore. But I remind them that according to a recent poll, more than 60% of the USA population still takes the Bible to be literal word of God.[iv] So, let us talk, let us talk about both the Bible and the Holy Quran in a grown up fashion. According to the Holy Quran, Jihad even when it means armed struggle, it implies only defensive war and not a pre-emptive strike. Let me introduce two Exhibits in defense of the Holy Quran.

    • Guest

The problem isn’t Quran or what is written in Quran. The problem is that most Muslims do not believe in democracy, liberal values, separation of religion and government, rights for minorities, independent courts which have nothing to do with religion. All these things are key aspects of a liberal civilization which don’t mix with Islam. Doesn’t matter what anyone else believes in, religion, spiritualism is to be treated as a personal issue and Islam has to respect the liberal values I’ve mentioned above.

      • Poor Poet

It’s wrong to say “Most Muslims” do not believe in established systems. Their number are actually very very small and so are fanatics from other religion as well who are small in number but highly influential (being extremists which in-turn their counterparts feed from). Many of so called Islamic issues are regional or culture based or custom and practice-based (instead of religion based). People from same belief-system can have different visions or faith on different things. A majority of 1.68 Billion Muslims are peaceful but the the problem is people start stereotyping. This is quite sad to see so much hatred everywhere when the basic needs of a human do not relate to these things still these haters complicate things ion their own societies and against their own people (being in disguise that they are not their own people)

        • Guest

I was talking about “democracy, liberal values, separation of religion and government, rights for minorities, independent courts”

For example, Saudi Arabia has no compulsions and is a rich country, but you won’t see any of these progressive characteristics there. Why?

I have no sympathy for any of the Christian people on this site who think that Islam will take over this country. Are you afraid you’ll lose your grip over the people? Afraid that you won’t have any control over lesser religions? Guess what, its already happening. This country is becoming more diverse in belief and more aware of Christianity’s hypocrisy and believers. I don’t, nor will I EVER, believe in your God. You can’t bully people around because they don’t believe the same way you do. There’s gonna come a time when you’ll be on the receiving end of this bullying and no one but your friends will come and help you.

      • dumbass that guy is giving a positive statement……..why are u abusing him……

    • Guest

Yes, but the problem is Islam won’t leave you alone. Take it from all the people who have had to face up to Islam. You may not believe in any religion, but you do believe in liberal values, separation of religion and state, progressivism, science? Islam and Islamic societies believe in nothing of that sort and moreover. does not even acknowledge rights for minorities. You should care about the liberal culture that you have and protect that for non-liberal cultures, whether they come from church or mosque or wherever.

      • XoXo

What a naive thought! Makes no sense.

  • Absence of myth and legends in the Holy Quran
The non.Muslims are sometimes critical about what the Muslims have to write about the mention of accurate scientific facts in the Holy Quran. Another quick way to examine the Quran is to note the absence of myths lengends and inaccurate information that abounds in other religions, cultures and even in the Bible.

Let me start my case with an example from the Bible. Stephen Hawking mentions in his book the Grand Design:

“The idea that there are laws of nature brings up issues similar to that for which Galileo had been convicted of heresy. … For instance, the Bible tells the story of Joshua praying for the sun and moon to stop in their trajectories so he would have extra daylight to finish fighting the Amorites in Canaan. According to the book of Joshua, the sun stood still for about a day. Today we know that that would have meant that the earth stopped rotating. If the earth stopped, according to New¬ton’s laws anything not tied down would have remained in motion at the earth’s original speed (1000 miles per hour at the equator) a high price to pay for a delayed sunset. None of this bothered Newton himself, for as we’ve said, Newton believed that God could and did intervene in the workings of the universe.”

Stephen Hawking and Leonard Mlodinow. The Grand Design. Bantam Books, New York, 2010. Page 87.

Again Stephen Hawking mentions in his book the Grand Design:

“ACCORDING TO THE BOSHONGO PEOPLE of central Africa, in the beginning there was only darkness, water, and the great god Bumba. One day Bumba, in pain from a stom¬achache, vomited up the sun. In time the sun dried up some of the water, leaving land. But Bumba was still in pain, and vomited some more. Up came the moon, the stars, and then some animals: the leopard, the crocodile, the turtle, and finally man. The Mayans of Mexico and Central America tell of a similar time before cre¬ation when all that existed were the sea, the sky, and the Maker. In the Mayan legend the Maker, unhappy because there was no one to praise him, created the earth, mountains, trees, and most ani-mals. But the animals could not speak, and so he decided to create humans. First he made them of mud and earth, but they only spoke nonsense. He let them dissolve away and tried again, this time fashioning people from wood. Those people were dull. He decided to destroy them, but they escaped into the forest, sustaining damage along the way that altered them slightly, creating what we today know as monkeys. After that fiasco, the Maker finally came upon a formula that worked, and constructed the first humans from white and yellow corn. Today we make ethanol from corn, but so far haven’t matched the Maker’s feat of constructing the people who drink it.”

Muslims have killed more hindus than any other wars and crusades combined. And, hindus have not gone anywhere to pick a fight with muslims. Why talk about Kashmir, when Muslims did not even belong to the sub continent except by mass killing of hindus? Islamic history celebrated hindu conquests and pillage. Islam has given nothing but social backwardness where ever it goes.

Civilized India belonged to Muslims (pro Islamic rules, India was barbaric, ignorant and deep in evils). Hindus over the centuries did all the cruelties to wipe the population of Buddhism and Muslims who had converted from Hinduism to free themselves from the clutches of such a religion. Hindus are moral-less head-less society who do all the wrong. Come to the cow-belt of India and see how the religion is the reason of all the evils on their society. Caste-system in Hinduism has pronounced 70% of Indians as lower caste and thus untouchables (worst in the world).

        • Guest

          Will Durant (US Historian): “The
Islamic conquest of India is probably the bloodiest story in history.
It is a discouraging tale, for its evident moral is that civilization
is a precious good, whose delicate complex of order and freedom,
culture and peace, can at any moment be overthrown by barbarians
invading from without or multiplying within.”

        • Guest

Yes, casteism is a huge problem in India. The hope is that casteism can be purged out as the economy grows. In any case, there is a lot of affirmative action which should help address the issue over time. The problems persist in the poor and socially backward areas and will only go away with economic growth and progress.

BR Ambedkar who is the best known champion for removal of caste system in India, said that Muslim Society is “even more full of social evils than Hindu Society is”. And, he would know!

God of Israel is a fiction, kid! Wake-up, don’t be in delusion.

An Italian professor, Laura Veccia Vaglieri writes that slavery has been around ever since human civilisation began and it remains. She opines that the condition of slavery among Muslim nations is comparatively better. She writes about the benevolence of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) and cites him as saying ‘do not say he is my slave, rather say he is my son and do not say she is my female-slave rather say she is my daughter. She writes that on reflection the Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) made magnificent reformations in this matter. In pre-Islamic days a person in debt faced the possibility of having his freedom snatched, but after Islam no Muslim could enslave another free Muslim. Not only did the Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) limit slavery, rather he introduced regulations about this and told the Muslims to march onwards regarding it until such time that all slaves were free.

Aisha was a 6 year old adolescent that married Islam’s prophet Muhammad.
He consummated that marriage when she was 9 years old making him a pedophile.

‘A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house when I was nine years old.
Sahih Muslim Book 008, Number 3310

    Narrated ‘Aisha:
that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).
Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64

    Narrated ‘Aisha:
that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old. Hisham said: I have been informed that ‘Aisha remained with the Prophet for nine years (i.e. till his death).” what you know of the Quran (by heart)’
Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 65

    Narrated ‘Ursa:
The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with ‘Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death).
Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 88

    Narrated ‘Ursa:
The Prophet asked Abu Bakr for ‘Aisha’s hand in marriage. Abu Bakr said “But I am your brother.” The Prophet said, “You are my brother in Allah’s religion and His Book, but she (Aisha) is lawful for me to marry.”

Islam all the way. The real terrorists are the hyprocrites, the non believers who have the urge to create a rift amongst the 2 most fastest growing religions, hyprocrites are the people who will abuse your religion till you retaliate back and that’s what they want. Most of the people who are commenting here no nothing other than making up their own stories. LOL.

    Please Read:
Due to the fact that the Jews had become deaf and blind to the words of God and deviated from the teachings of Moses and the right path, Allah honoured Jesus with Prophethood and sent him as a messenger to the children of Israel. Bearing all hardships Prophet Jesus spent all day and night conveying the message of Allah. Unfortunately, in spite of his tremendous effort the children of Israel did not respond and accept the message. Seeing that the poor and weak were becoming inclined towards him and fearing they would lose their leadership the Jews secretly tried to kill him. However Allah saved Prophet Jesus  from their wicked scheme and gave him greater dignity by raising him alive to the heavens. Allah says in the Quran, “They did not kill him and nor did they crucify him but the resemblance of him (Jesus ) was put over another man and those who differ there in, are in doubt. They have no certain knowledge. They are following nothing but conjecture for surely they did not kill him but Allah raised him up to him.” (Surah Nisa)

I hope this gives the non believers some brains. And something to think about.

the more I read about religion the more atheist I become! I’m so glad there’s a separation of religion and state in this country!

        • Guest

That is what the Muslims will attack first. Sharia to control the courts and Islamic rule instead of democracy. Which is why there is no democracy ever in the middle east. There is no room in Islam for other thoughts, atheist or another religion. They have problems with even Buddhists, who hardly go about bothering anyone. Whether or not your believe in Christianity, western civilization has progressed enough to separate church from state. Muslims don’t believe in that and thus undermine liberal cultures.

          • XoXo

This is actually an issue with whole Indian sub-continent. While India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan all are democracies, it is never actually followed their. Hindus have wiped out Buddhists from India (and now doing from Nepal). Indians can never separate religion with the states even though they are called secular country

          • Guest

My point doesn’t concern India. Why don’t you address the point?

          • Angel

u are saying Buddhists hardly bother anyone? Go and do some research about
Massacre Of Muslims In Burma by Buddhists!

          • Bekovic

That was propaganda, the buddhists were the victims in that case, muslims raped and killed a buddhist girl, muslims think they can rape non-muslims, because they are for them 2nd ranked humans, they think they can have that as what your second hand possesses(disgusting). The rapists then got their deserved punishment, and muslims went all crazy and burned down buddhists towns were burned down, the buddhists defended themselves around 40 from muslim and buddhist side got killed. But muslims claimed no buddhists killed and up to 70 000 muslims killed.

As always muslims think it’s okay to kill non-muslims, but not the other way around.

It was even claimed that buddhist took muslim children to burn them alive and eat them afterwards.

The newest attack on buddhism (Ideology of Peace), is from Ayatollah of Iran, is saying that buddhists are jews, but again, whatever doesn’t submit to the falsehood of islam is jewish. If a meteor hits middleeast it’s jewish, if an earthquake hits there then it’s the jews behind it.

How stupid can people possibly be to believe stuff like that??? Well in many islamic countries it’s important to hold the people down and make sure they only know of islam, they make the people fear god. They are told the punishment of apostacy is death, why all this? Because islam is weak, they need this to make people keep their faith in the falsehood of islam, it’s all about forcing, other religions doesn’t need this since they are based on more peaceful things (Though Christianity used to be violent as well), where islam is based on fearing god.

Every Religion was a blessing from Our Creator, until people modified and distorted the original message and teachings thus necessiating fresh guidance from Our Creator in the form of next religion. All religions are connected.

  • M.J.

It’s really boring to hear the same statments over and over again about this religion. As if the media’s constant attack on it isn’t enough for the Muslims. Here’s how I see things.

Statement: “Islam is a violent religion.”

A SYSTEM of belief can’t be violent since it isn’t a living being who can think for itself. A HUMAN can be violent if he misinterprets, intentionally or unintentionally, the alleged words of the deity he/she worships. This applies to all religions, just take the actions of the Burmese Buddhists toward the Muslim population over there.

The Qur’an, if one actually seeks the correct knowledge on it, was compiled during battles between the polytheists of Makkah and Muhammad’s monotheistic forces, and as such the verses on warfare were left intact by Muhammad’s followers as pieces of historical information from Allah’s perspective of the events.

    Statement: “Muhammad was a pedophile.”

False. Careful research would dictate that Aishah was 20 years old when she married him. This is based on very clear contradictions in hadith collections (alleged Prophetic sayings). The evidence would be too long to discuss in this post, so do some more research rather than head to one source. The Islamic religion itself had been hijacked by it’s own scholars who act like God’s authority on this Earth to justify immoral actions – just like the Monks and Rabbis of Christianity and Judaism.

No rational Muslim should accept that a man described in their holy book to have “high moral character” would sleep with a nine-year-old girl.

Statement: “Allah is a false god”.

Overwhelming evidence suggests that Allah is the same deity of the Christian and Jewish Arabs who refer to him in Arabic translations of the Bible and Torah as “Allahu”. Sabaian and Jewish Christians referred to this deity (possibly) as “Rahmanan”, and in the Qur’an Allah is called “Al-Rahman” (The Merciful).

This is why learning the book’s ORIGINAL LANGUAGE is essential toward gaining a firmer understanding of it and the religion of Islam itself.

Statement: “Muslims are intolerant toward other religions and ideologies.”

I can flip this statement around. The amount of hatred and intolerance toward Muslims on the comments I’ve read is clearly evident of hypocrisy. The Qur’an tells it’s followers to respect the existence of others but to not tolerate their way of thinking as it clashes with clear monotheistic belief.

I know a good Jordanian friend whose Muslim family is the best of friends with their Jewish and Christian neighbors. This is in the “violent” Middle East btw.

    Statement: “Muslims terrorize others.”

The United States Army terrorizes Arab countries through horrific acts of militarism, regardless of any religions practiced there. I can think of MANY instances where irreligious people turn violent and terrorize others and war is a good excuse.

Statement: “Muslims overbreed to take control of our country.”

Not really. You can’t paint everyone with the same brush. I’m know Muslim families that migrate here to the UK and have less children.

The truth is a religion can have it’s principles and flaws, but isn’t it better to accept it’s good traits and live and let live. I don’t adhere to any specific belief system (I might consider myself a Deist though and have an keen interest in beliefs and myths) but my heart sickens at the fanaticism of some of these comments by atheists and agnostics. I’d love to hear about any one of these people when they decide to stop hiding behind the internet, walk into a mosque, and directly say this to the worshipers there. If they can’t, it just cements their ignorance and stupidity.

any person following the bible or the koran or the mormon bible or any religion his/her mentality starts regressing to those biblical times…in school we use old books just as reference to what we’re learning but we know there’re changes that we made in order to move forward in life…medical doctors don’t use outdated books to practice medicine so why we use only one book koran/bible as a base to live our lives…I don’t get it…

      • abdulwalee

Approach the Qur’an objectively as if you’re in school seeking to know the truth and not to find fault it it and you’ll see the Truth of Islam and why so many intellects try and failed to find error in this Book which is from Non other except The Almighty Creator Himself…. That’s the reason why Islam win over many Converts it agree’s with the intellects and what doesn’t agree we submit because Allah explains that He only gives us Humans a little knowledge. for instance the marriage of the Prophet Muhammad to his wife Ayisha at such an early age can be explained here….

Islam is a peaceful religion. Islamophobia created by the false media dragging us to war, leads to massive destruction and hatredness among human beings. The way isarel was formed in a complete illegitimate way and now the poor palestenians who fought for their freedom considered as culprits and terorists.i am sure a day wiil come that US people will realize their real enemy, the people behind 9-11-the wicked jews, who runs US now.

    • jojo

Actually I disagree with you with Jews being the enemy. The 2 main enemies of the world are media and government. If you think about it. they set us up to fight among each other and they are free to do whatever they choose. Just think about it. As for Islamophobia, well, I can only state my opinion. I think what people dislike the most about Islam is some of the laws set forth in middle eastern countries. Things like the four male witnesses, The laws in a few countries that allow for the deaths of converts, and the kafeel problems. I am in no way saying that all Muslims are bad as I have a some dear friends who are Muslim. I am only offering an opinion on this problem. I think another problem is how extremists seems to roam free through the middle east. If we ignore the media, get the laws changed, and remove our problems, I.e. media, government, and extremists in all religions then we could have a more peaceful existent.

the masterplan of the west is to, esp America which controls all the media and money { by the ZIONISTS} to bring every human being under their evil spell, through inconceivable, DEVIOUS ,satanic, lies and means ,and using the most horrific means they are the cause of over 100 million deaths of innocent children, women, and men besides the soldiers.. we can argue until KINGDOM BETWEEN EVERY CHRISTIAN ,,muslim ,,buddhist in fact every NON-JEW ON THIS EARTH

      • Yunus Karbanee

DONT be an idiot it is a very small group of BAD jews that are controlling the entire world

      • Hi Jojo,
You might find what you see in terms of information here: It is simple and interesting. You will find information on the term Extremists. Be well.

  • “Muslims living inside the United States increased by about 1 million to 2.6 million – a stunning increase of 66.7 percent.”

Wrong. It is an increase of 160 percent.

  • I see with sadness that there are Christians on this forum who attack Islam with snippets of information that may apply to regions and specific cultures, but not all of Islam. There are tribes in the Central African nations that call themselves Christian and yet they practice female genital mutilation. I do not hear Islamics claiming that all Christians practice female genital mutilation, yet when Christians find out that there are tribes in predominantly Islamic regions of the same continent (Africa) they claim that Islam has that as a teaching.

Ditto the commentaries of various Islamic writers. There are some fairly odd comments in Jewish writings, Islamic writings and even the writings of noted Christians. If we take them out of the cultural context, we can use those comments to disparage the religion.

There are a great many Christian commentaries that say that the child of Rape is a gift from God. A lot of women do not agree with that. Not all Christians agree with that, and I am certain in this election year such commentary irks many people of faith. Would it be fair for a modern Jew to attack Christianity because of that commentary? Is it fair for Christians to attack Islam because of other commentaries that the Christian does not understand? A lot of commentaries are figurative and make sense within the context of the culture in which they were written. The fundamental issue is not in abiding by the commentaries that reflect strange cultures of the past, but in abiding in the teachings of a God of Morality, which to me is definitely Allah as well as Jehovah (Jahwah, which sounds very much like Allah to me.) and JHWH.

I served as a Christian Minister for years, and one thing I know, our so called Christian country is becoming more and more decadent with each passing year. People are leaving Christianity to live under Islam because Islam has a far stronger moral code. Seeing what a moral mess out cities are now-a-days, I do not blame them. God honors morality and will accept a repentant sinner.

Islam teaches submission to God and repentance of wrong (sin). I believe that the Christian God who was also the God of the Jews understands repentant sinners and will accept and forgive their admission of having done wrong.

Most Islamics I know are very moral peaceful people. They are not out slicing people’s heads off. There are fanatics out there for every cause and those fanatics will kill you if you stand up to them. Those are the people I fear, and most of them are not Islamic.

    • Guest

Funny, number of hindus killed by muslims over centuries is more than any other type of genocide ever, including all world wars, etc. Moral people? Haha, they are the most immoral people but they hide it by controlling the administration and judiciary. That is why sharia is so important for them. Otherwise they cannot hide their crimes. You have been brain washed.

      • Underground Authority

Absolutely absurd comment! Its actually opposite of it. Gujarat pogrom, Post-independent riots, Kashmir genocides, Post-Babari riots, Bomabay riots, Bengal riots, Bhagalpur riots, Assam Bodo carnage, day-to-day human rights abuses by Hindus to Muslims.. Its endless. Anyone with some common sense and logic will discard the above comment, knowing Muslims are one seventh of Hindus and have hardly any administrative or (real) governmental support (ground reality!). Though Indian constitution guarantees state to be unbiased, this is not practiced as the majority community does all the abuse they can on minorities in India (be it Christians or Muslims). I still wont blame all the Hindus, majority are good but yes a small but influential section always spit venom and does all to create the rift among society in-line with religion, region, caste or language. And they sometimes succeed in mobilizing the general people toward violence.

        • Rohit

The killing of Hindus by Muslims began since the first Turkish assaults on Sindh(North-West India) around 800AD and ended only after the british conquest of India, not to mention the people being killed in terror attacks now. In total number, it indeed is the largest genocide in history, even paling the Holocaust in comparison; especially considering the fact that a universally(and especially modern white-washed Indian historian’s view) so-called secular Muslim ruler like Akbar himself ordered the slaughter of 30,000 Hindus in a single day at Panipat, and that is after winning mind you. Also funny that you mention Kashmir genocide, which should actually mean the actual genocide of Kashmiri Pandits(Hindus) in 1989- a fact overlooked and conveniently ignored by mainstream media everywhere. Also pertinent is that even a casual overlook of a day-by-day casuality list of almost all the atrocities mentioned above will reveal that in almost all cases the casualities over the first few days these riots are Hindus….interesting observation as to who the instigator is, isn’t it?

We should remember that Christianity has been about 60 years before Islam.
Islam borrowed aspects of Christianity and added other things to form a religion so there is no way that Islam can no better than what the Christians according to biblical injunctions.
The conversion to Islam is in the developed countries who have long left the tenets of Christianity to be following their own way. they created a void and Islam filled it.
they did not lead their children in the way of Christ, that void Islam has filled.
It is not so at all in Africa, Christians are forging ahead, we are getting stronger, though few are converting to Islam but more Muslims are converting to Christianity even with the attendant danger.
Islam is not good and the beliefs and expression shows it. terrorist and all manner of evil people have a basis to operate through Islam and they say they are doing it in the name of Allah.
America and Europe had long stopped following God and Islam has entered to fill that void.
they introduced Christianity to us but no longer following it we have taking over and are presently taking it back to them. preaching that they accept the God that they left. the American Church is dead while it does not even really exist again in Europe.

      This poster wrote,

“People are leaving Christianity to live under Islam because Islam has a far stronger moral code.”

That was about the most ignorant statement I have heard from someone who says they were a Christian minister. People that are truly Christian would never leave Christianity to become a Muslim. The ones that say they were Christian and become Muslims are just deceived by the devil. Islam is an antichrist religion, according to the Bible. Allah and the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are not the same. Islam denies that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. Islam denies that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world and that He rose from the dead. Islam denies the Father and the Son.

1Jn 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1Jn 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

Muslims don’t have the Father, as much as they would like to convince themselves or others that they do. They are liars and antichrists. Want some proof? Take a Bible and go to Saudia Arabia and try talking about Jesus and see how far you get.

      • Adbuallah

You may not like the fact. From what I see you are deviated by devil. Why would god need an innocents blood to forgive other’s sins?! Jesus (may Almighty’s peace be upon him), is a Prophet and guide to mankind sent by the Almighty.

        • Jack

if you are born a muslim or you enter islam you can never leave it just
like a gang apostates are put to the sword evident from the early
history of islam and a consensus among all clasical scholars

      • Fact>Fiction

Actually in islam we believe that Jesus (peace be upon him) is the Christ (Messiah-Hebrew, Masih-Arabic) so according to the Bible verse u quoted John 1:22, we Muslims are not liars. Also, in biblical language the term son of god is used not only for Jesus (pbuh) but for Solomon (pbuh) and a number of other prophets. the truth is actually in your bible but the Church has taught you all these fables and inserted them in your bible through time. In fact the bible verse John 16.7 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.” proves Islam and the coming of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) The “Comforter” is not the Holy Spirit because according to that verse the Comforter cannot come until Jesus (pbuh) leaves. But in your bible it’s clear that the Holy Spirit has been present far before!! We Muslims do not deny Christ but confirm that he is the Messiah. In Fact Jesus (pbuh) never says that he is the begotten son of God and worship me in the entire bible.

        • Fact>Fiction

Furthermore, Deuteronomy 18:18, “I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.” If u learn about islam, u will learn that the Holy Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) was an illiterate man who didn’t read or write. The Quran was revealed to him and he spoke the revealed words and they were recorded and compiled to become what we know today as the Holy Quran, the complete, unadulterated, unchanged true and final word of God. In fact the word Quran means recitation. And in the above verse Allah mentions that this prophet will be among their brethren and we all know that the Arabs and Jews are brethren. I feel that the Torah and the Bible were once the True word of God but now, after studying the old and New Testament it is clear that they are no longer Just the word of God and the words of Jesus (pbuh) but the words of mainly Paul, and Matthew, John, Luke, etc. I mean the prophets in the bible are portrayed as people with lower moral standards than most people I know! Would God choose a person like that to deliver his message? Would u trust a politician that is a drunk? Practice incest? Etc.? In the Quran the prophets are revered and pious men that God chose as representatives to relay the message of Islam (submitting to the will of The One True God)

India was a liberal society before Islamic invasion. Number of Hindus raped and killed over centuries is in the 10s of millions. You can just look up history. And, don’t take my word for it, look into Islamic history which celebrates all the killing and conquest, just like they celebrate conversion now.

Its too late for UK and Europe. USA, good luck. A liberal society knows only about its own ills and gives space to all thoughts but Islam will use it to make you guilty and undermine those very same liberal values. Just look at how non-liberal the majority Muslim countries are and their contribution to the world is 0.

By the time you realize what happened, it will be too late and you will no longer have a liberal society. You may not like Christianity, but you must not make that a reason to support Islam which is far, far worse.

Which detail is fake? Here’s a quote from Will Durant: The Islamic conquest of India is probably the bloodiest story in history. It is a
discouraging tale, for its evident moral is that civilization is a precious good, whose
delicate complex order and freedom can at any moment be overthrown by barbarians invading
from without and multiplying from within.

Religion is a personal issue and every person has their view point and should study it for themselves, but its useful to see what some well known leaders and thinkers thought of it:

Over a billion people believe in Allah without truly knowing what Allah supposedly stands for or what he really demands of them. And the minority that do understand continue to be Moslems because they have redefined their morality and ethics to fit within the teachings of Islam, which are floridly lacking in morality. They therefore redefine what is good and evil in order to fit their lives into what is preached by Islam, instead of examining Islam to see if it fits within the good life. Backwards thinking, imposed by a backward religion.

I remember someone once mentioning that India is a nation of old immigrants, and that USA is a nation of new immigrants. As an Indian who truly believes in the American dream and respects the American way of life, all I can say is watch your backs friends. A small snapshot of your future vizaviz what is happening in India these days:

    a) Donations from majority religious organisations is collected by Government as revenue- most of it then redistributed to minorities for the development of their religious institutions(most of it goes to Islamic madrassas as compared to Christian organizations btw)…that’s Indian democracy for you.

b)Being the only nation on Earth to provide subsidy running into millions of dollars every year from Govt funds for Mecca pilgrimage (an act even opposed by the Islamic Imams in Saudi Arabia itself). No talk ever rises for say subsidy for a Christian to visit Vatican City or Jerusalem, or for a Hindu for visiting an ancient pilgrimage site 3000kms from his home state.

    c) Give free rein to minority institutions to teach ALL students in their government funded institutions about their respective religion/practices under the guise of secular education. Funny snippet: Religious studies in schools in India means Islamic Studies for Muslim children, Bible studies for Christians and “Moral Education” for all others, including Hindus.

    d) If an 80 year old temple happens to stand in the way of a development project- raze it to the ground( over 100 such Hindu and Jain temples in Karnataka state alone razed in 2011). A 3 year old mosque in the same situation- abandon development project so as to ‘not hurt’ religious sentiments.

    e) Have the mainstream media owned almost entirely by foreign organisations- for the sake of being blunt -evangelical organisations and Saudi oil-money powered conglomerates. An example of end result:(//admittedly patriarchial society) If a Muslim boy falls in love with a H/C girl- (the girl in almost all cases ends up in a madrassa(Islamic school) for conversion into the ‘true religion’ prior to marriage btw) and if the girl’s family opposes and in one case where the Muslim boy ended up dead under suspicious circumstances- HUGE media backlash /uproar/debates/daliy primetime discussions and candle-light vigils for secular love. Good. However, the Muslim reaction when a Hindu/Christian boy commits the cardinal folly of falling in love with a Muslim girl; he is- 1. Burnt alive. 2. Tortured to death in police custody(by Muslim police officers). 3. Shot to death in broad daylight by an Islamist organization (All these are actual incidents). Media reaction to these killings: Zero/ABSOLUTE black-out- That’s Indian democracy for you.

    e) For a nation often derided as one of cow-worshippers, we have beef readily available in almost all non-vegetarian restaurants in India. However, in spite of almost 2 centuries of British rule(and the British love their bacon almost as much as Americans do), I have yet to find a restaurant serving bacon/ham in India. Pigs are haram in Islam you see. So Christians and Hindus aren’t allowed to eat pork either, i.e, the dietary habits of over a billion people are dictated by what is haram or halal to 150 million people (current Muslim population in India). Get ready to say bye-bye to your delicious ham cheeseburgers.

    f) Even when world leaders including Obama greet the Hindu diaspora on the occasion of Diwali and Holi etc, the Prime Minister of India conveniently refuses to do so- He never forgets to send his best wishes on Eid and Ramzan though.

g)No one is supposed to question conversion from H and C to Islam- it’s a democracy after all. But when a Muslim converts to C or H, he/she is served death threats as usual. Just 2 incidents: 1) M woman convert to C stripped naked, beaten brutally and paraded in public in front of her children. 2) Two M girls(friends) who converted to H were strangled to death by their own mothers. Again, media reaction/exposure: negligible.

h)You will have to accept as a matter of course that being the majority community, you will have your churches defaced with green paint and desecrated with cow carcasses(as in the case of temples here) and expected to react only constitutionally to it- for fear of ‘disturbing the peace’.

    i) A beautiful phenomenon that perhaps you are yet to see- Once a muslim community sets up shop, money starts pouring in for them from LITERALLY EVERYWHERE(read middle-east)- oil money goes a very long way my friend, and it pays to always project an image of being well-to-do doesn’t it, say to bring in ever more new converts for eg. So get ready for both you and your muslim neighbour to toil away 9 to 7 at the same job, but while you drive a rundown second-hand civic, he mysteriously will have a brand new BMW/Audi/ Merc/Lexus. Kindly prepare to have ready-made answers for your disillusioned children and nagging spouses when they see his Brand new Lexus. Trust me on this one. Guess which community buys 70% of the luxury cars sold in India. No one questions where the money comes from though.

I could go on and on, but the simple fact is neither the strengths of a 5000 year old largely tolerant civilization like India’s or the uniqueness of a great country founded on the principles of Equality and Fraternity like the USA can stand the relentless onslaught of Islamism- especially as long as they have seemingly infinite reserves of oil money to fuel their expansion. The sad part is that they ingeniously use the very principles that democratic countries like the US, India, UK and France are based on, against us- They have the right to preach, propagate, practice whatever they feel is halal, to defend and offend as promised to them by democracy and free speech; but a Christian or Hindu doing the same for his/her faith is proscribed/banned by the Quran.(Recenly a British airline banned its employees from carrying The Holy Bible, Cosses etc in its flights to Saudi Arabia for fear of offending ‘Islamic’ sentiments. Think about that the next time they build an oil-money fuelled mega-mosque next door in your democratic land). If you react, it is blasphemy. Converting to Islam is ‘right’ and divine will, converting from Islam is apostasy punishable by death. You draw a caricature of the Prophet, it is blasphemy with calls for execution. When they abuse Christianity/Hinduism, it is enshrined in the Quran- it is their absolute right you see. Even sadder, the moderates and sane ones within Islam are summarily silenced or executed for not being ‘true’ Muslims. The Quran teaches to see the world only in two terms/definitions- Land of Islam and Land of War. Guess which category the entire civilized world falls in. Until the civilised world becomes The land of Islam, Jihad in all it forms, overt or covert will continue. It is their divine right as enshrined in The Holy Quran to work tirelessly till the last Land of war becomes Islamic, till the last non-believer is either killed or subjugated. Oh and btw, the Quran actually makes it legal for Muslims to rape non-muslim women, especially ‘booty’ obtained in spoils of war, even if they are married and even if they are ‘taken’ in front of their defeated husbands/fathers/brothers/sons- it is all legal as the kafir woman is now the muslim “owner’s property” you see. Check any Quran translation on this one. There is a school of thought that to NOT do this ‘divinely’ ordained duty of humiliation and rape (i.e to show humanity and respect to those who have been subjugated by Islam, especially women in this case) is tantamount to disrespecting what the Holy Quran says,

In short, as long as we can’t resurrect a combination of Einstein/Tessla/Edison/Newton/Karl Benz etc to give us deliverence from the internal combustion engine and subsequently at least stem the flow of oil money, the American dream and by extension the civilised democratic world as we know it will be terminated in the near future. Look at the bright side, the circumcision and burqa manufacturing industry will have roaring business, not to mention those owning bulldozers will become millionaires from payments for destroying all churches, temples etc, not to mention all historic national monuments, Mount Rushmore etc(Nationalism and patriotism is haram in the Quran you see- the only nation recognised is the Nation of Islam). Walaikum A-Salam!

Islam is the way of live and the way truth to all Humanantiy and the fastset religion in the world without any atom or gun .

  • Allah (subhanahu wa Ta`ala) says in the Quran:
“Invite to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided.” (Quran, an-Nahl: 125)
Calling people to Allah means completing our own worship, the reason for which we are created. It is one of the noblest acts that entails a high reward !

    • ‘high reward’. This is why all religions except a few are bad. If you have to bribe people to ‘be good’ there’s deceit there. Why not be good just for the sake of being ‘good’?

  • I say we ban all religions in total. Each religion is sham, where zealots plan on spreading their disease. For instance, how many virgins will you be rewarded with? How good do you have to be to enter Heaven? Sorry, but if you have to be bribed to be good according to religion, yes even Christianity, that’s a huge clue.

Why not be good just for the sake of being ‘good’?

  • So instead of addressing widespread inequities among the sexes in Islamic based countries (women can’t drive, can’t go out alone, etc) you deflect in your lengthy post which doesn’t really say anything.

For the record, all religion is bad and that includes islam and christianity. Bribing people to be good is disgusting. You shouldn’t have to be threatened OR rewarded for being good.

I am an American of Anglo-Saxon origin, my family has been in the U.S before it was even a country, I even have a reciept of one of my ancestors buying tobacco among other things in 1663 here in the U.S. I am also a Muslim and I feel deeply offended that you insult my American heratige and my religion. This country was founded by those escaping religious persecution, don’t forget that. And who are you to revoke my citizenship because I am Muslim, when this country was founded on religious freedom??

Why have court made christian churches silence their church bells but mosque are able to ring their prayer bells? Christianity is all but gone because the courts have held fast the separation of church and state. If I had to listen to their prayer bells all day it would piss me off.

I think American’s tend to be more logical, reasonable when facts are really exposed to them. Media try hard to keep them hypnotized from the fact. Islam is simply convincing, so I think it is natural that American’s get converted to Islam.

  • pudge

The fact that so many Muslims poured on to this site and started pointing fingers at everyone but themselves shows how absurd these people are. There are a lot of very nice Muslims but these insane propagandists scare the shit out of me. They hate everyone who is not Muslim and they always play the victim.

  • Jonathan Green

How, in any way, is the American dream associated with Christianity? These are two totally different elements, and should not mean that, less christians=less american. This website is obviously a hypocritical and baseless sight aimed at stirring up hate and prejudice.

God, you just won the dunce cake. You don’t think Muslims should defend themselves from the lies that been spewed on this forum. They scare you because they are speaking the truth. thank God for showing us how closed minded christians are.

One of the largest numbers of immigrants if not the largest are Muslim refugees legal or illegals , thanks to Obama who is also a Muslim. OUr country will be opened soon to thousands of refugees form Syria and more from Pakistan and Somalia who are again Muslims. Their birth rate is also 5 or 6 times higher than average Americans mostly using our welfare system and courtesy to the Christians who let them into the country. BUT, in Africa, Muslims are leaving Islam in droves of 160,000 one hundred sixty thousand per day. So please, saying that Muslim is the fastest growing religion in America is a myth. Stop Muslim immigration and will see the difference.

  • Angel Nova

Total population in the world today is 7.097 billion. Total population of Islam in the world today is 1.6 billion. Islam has a long long way to go at only 20% of the non- Muslims of the world and this includes, Jewish, Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Atheists, Christians, etc… Fastest growing religion? Keep dreaming for another century if Islam will not be stomped by the educated and the apostates leaving in droves.

  • zami

i think all religion including Islam especially taught about humanity and love for humanity. and no religion says about terrorism. if you are not sufficient Knowledge about Islam, Christianity and other religion so plz shut your mouths. ok

It is agreed upon by all scholars from every religion, There are only 3 religions of god that have been sent by god that actually contain a holybook sent upon a prophet or messenger!! Those religions are judism, christianity and islam!! Budism and hinduism are not RELIGIONS they are faiths of how one should live his life! Uneducated people how do u compare religion with a faith?? You DONT cus religions are a holy connection with god.

I do not believe Muhammad was approached by Gabriel to be a prophet. I believe Islam is a manmade theocracy, they are no different than Kings, Emperors, or anyone other person who desires to rule.

9/11? Boko Haram? Syria’s Assad? What you are describing and referring to is not Islam. You are confusing people who are terrorists or tyrants and who happen to (try to) practice Islam…with actual Muslims, who would naturally be striving for peace and coexistence. How do we know that Muslim are, by and large, peace loving? Just look at the hundreds and hundreds of years of history of hundreds of cities in the Middle East, where Muslims have tolerated and even embraced those of other religions. Learn and know your history and you won’t be mistaken for an uneducated bigot.

  • jxb7076

What’s the big deal…..America was not settled by Christians and therefore was never a true Christian nation. Members of the so called ‘founding fathers’ were not Christian men, they were men of ‘Enlightenment’ who were mainly Deists and did not believe the bible was the true word of God. They were free thinkers who relied more on human reasoning than faith. In fact, the constitution Article 6, section 3 states that “religion should never be a test or qualification for public service”. Even the declaration of Independence suggests that the land should be governed by “Nature’s God” and “Divine Providence” which is the language of Deism, not Christianity. Those who claim the United States is a Christian Nation are called “Christian Revisionists” and their attempt is to rewrite history. So lets not get too hung up on the decline of Christianity in America because Christianity was never the norm. All references to religion such as the 10 commandments at the US capital and etc. came much latter. Even the Pledge of Allegiance is to the flag of the United States of America and to the ” Republic” for which it stands with a reference to God – not to God with a reference to the flag. Sorry Christians…but hey, life goes on!!!

The biggest increase belongs to the non-religious/Atheists. There lies our biggest hope for a future of peace and compassion. These myths need to be exposed for what they are. They are divisive and immoral.
