Sexual Assaults In The Military Are At An All-Time High And Most Of Them Are Male On Male

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

Army Saluting Barack ObamaThere is a raging epidemic of sexual assault in the U.S. military.  A report released by the U.S. Department of Defense says that an astounding 12,000 women serving in the U.S. military were sexually assaulted in 2012.  This is a national disgrace, and any U.S. service member that rapes a woman deserves the death penalty in my opinion.  It has gotten so bad that a female service member serving in Afghanistan is more likely to be raped by a male service member than she is to be killed by the Taliban.  But that is only half the story.  Sexual assault against males is at an epidemic level in the U.S. military as well.  In fact, according to the same report that I just mentioned, there were 14,000 sexual assaults against men serving in the U.S. military during 2012.  That means that most of the sexual assaults in the military are actually male on male.  The following is an excerpt from an article in the New York Times

According to the Department of Defense’s Military Sexual Assault Report for 2012, an estimated 26,000 members of the United States military, both men and women, were sexually assaulted in that year. The Pentagon survey almost certainly underreports the scale of the issue. Of those sexual assaults, 53 percent (approximately 14,000 in 2012) were attacks on men.

The study also found that male service members are far less likely to report when they are attacked, and when a report is made, military authorities are far less likely to go after the perpetrator

These men — an estimated 13,900 last year alone — are far less likely than women to report an attack. Only 13 percent of reports last year were filed by men, military data show.

But the disparities do not end there. The Sun found that when men do report a sexual assault, military authorities are less likely to identify a suspect, to refer charges to court-martial or to discharge the perpetrator than in cases in which the victim is a woman.

Fortunately, after years of denial this issue is starting to come to the forefront.  Some prominent retired officers are even speaking out about this.

For example, Major General Dennis J. Laich says that the military brass “should be asking for forgiveness” from the thousands of victims that never got justice…

The chain of command “should be asking for forgiveness” from the thousands we have failed to serve and protect over the past 25 years, former Maj. Gen. Dennis J. Laich (ret.) told reporters during a press call. “When an American female service member serving in Afghanistan has a higher probability of being raped by a fellow soldier than being killed by the Taliban, I would submit that the chain of command has a problem,” he continued.

When we can’t even protect members of our own military, we have got a major problem on our hands.

During 2012, more than 85,000 military veterans were formally treated for sexual abuse that they suffered while serving in the U.S. military.

And even though they are less likely to come forward for treatment, 40 percent of those that were treated were men.

Things have gotten so bad at this point that even military recruiters have become known for sexually assaulting those that they are recruiting.  According to the Washington Post, the Pentagon is pledging to do something about this growing problem…

“The secretary has made it clear that we will spare no effort to rid our military of sexual abuse,” said George Little, the Pentagon press secretary. “The fact that there have been problems of sexual abuse during the recruiting process is simply intolerable.”

When you get sexually assaulted, it can absolutely shatter your life – especially if you never get any justice.  This is one of the reasons why the suicide rate in the U.S. military is so high.

Most people don’t realize this, but the number of active members of the U.S. military that kill themselves each year now exceeds the number that are dying on the battlefield.

And according to one absolutely shocking study, 22 military veterans kill themselves in the United States every single day.

Clearly something is very wrong with the U.S. military.

Most of the time, the stories of these victims of sexual assault in the military never get told.  But fortunately a few of them are starting to get out there.  For example, consider what happened to former Marine Lance Corporal Jeremiah Arbogast

His eyes low, focused on the prepared statement in front of him, Arbogast recounted the details of his own sexual assault and its equally horrifying aftermath. He was drugged to the point of incapacitation and sexually assaulted by a fellow marine, a former staff sergeant, while on active duty. “I was humiliated at the thought of my helplessness,” he said.

Two months after the attack, incessant nightmares, anxiety, depression and confusion finally overpowered his fear and embarrassment and Arbogast confronted a base social worker who reported the attack to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, which investigates crimes involving Naval or Marine Corps personnel. This would only further his humiliation, Arbogast came to find out. He said he was forced to make recorded phone calls to his rapist and even confront him at his house while wearing a wire in order to get a confession. He accomplished his mission, but his nightmare was far from over. Arbogast’s attacker was arrested and hit with several charges including sexual assault and sodomy, but after only a week in court, evidence shed light on his 23 years of service and he walked away with a bad conduct discharge and no jail time. Arbogast said his rapist was ordered to NCIS headquarters for fingerprinting only to reveal that he’d dulled the skin on his fingertips, and that he managed to refuse to register on the sex offender database by simply saying, “No, I don’t have to.”

You can read some more first person testimonies of sexual assault in the U.S. military right here.

This has got to stop.

The U.S. military is supposed to be the most highly disciplined fighting force on the planet, and there is no excuse for this.

Sadly, the reality is that what is going on in the military is simply a reflection of society as a whole.

America has become a giant cesspool of filth and corruption, and this is manifesting itself in thousands of different ways.

If it was up to me, every member of the U.S. military that rapes someone would get the death penalty.

But it is not up to me.  Instead, political correctness has taken over the U.S. military and we have an administration that treats military veterans like absolute garbage.

So let us hope that things in the military start to get better, but I wouldn’t count on it.

This is intolerable. I suggest that the barracks take care of it. The problem is that sergeants are there to maintain discipline in the ranks.
I would suggest that sooner or later these people will run up against someone who is truly psycho enough to kill them.
That person is not necessarily someone you wouild suspect.
The most terrible person I have ever known was a quiet nerdish type of person. He was 5 foot 4. He was also an extreme expert in oriental forms of self defense.
The risk is that someone like that is assulted. Then the fun begins and that sergeant or anyone else might find themselves on the receiving end of something very violent.

    • Undecider

The barracks are where the action is. All kinds of malarkey happens in those environments. What do you expect with a bunch of morons (youth minded people) who are jacked up on booze and watch porn? This should come as no surprise. Only those who haven’t been in the military are shocked.

      • Kim

I have never been in the military but I would not say I am shocked or surprised. Disgusted, yes. Shocked, not so much.

        • James Brown

Remember this, in any large organization the attitudes of the lowest ranks are determined by the attitudes of the top leadership.

          • Kim

            Seems right.

      • Hammerstrike

        Blame pr0n and booze, seriously?

You believe soldiers did not have that a long time before this??

    • rickdeez

The problem is that quite often you do not know who your attacker is. The predators have learned to use drugs and put them in your canteens when you go into a field problem. When the victim comes up positive for sleeping pills, scopolamine, rohypnol, or other knock out agents they usually blame the victim. This is the military culture.

      • Hammerstrike

Never ever take a drink from someone unknow and always help the comrades against such human refuse.

    • Hammerstrike

Resisting such abuses is neither terrible or psychotic.

  • K

I hope you are right that this is about to improve. But considering all the major charges against a certain general were dropped. And he was allowed to plead to three very lesser charges. I am not so sure. As i stated once before. As someone who spent many years in the Federal Government. Volunteers of any sort, are looked on as fools, by the big wigs. Due to that total lack of respect, I doubt there will be much change. But I truly hope, I am wrong.

    • James Brown

You must realize that the powerful protect each other. If the accused had been enlisted or a junior officer they would be in Leavenworth for many years performing hard labor. This is the reality of military life with a buffoon as for a Commander in Chief and an absolute moron as secdef

So why don’t you get out then? That’s what I did as soon as don’t ask don’t tell was repealed. I guess you like serving in the gay military that murders innocent women and children in foreign countries that never harmed the U.S.

        • Gay Veteran

like the military wasn’t murdering innocent women and children back in the days of DADT

      That males no sense.

  • Undecider

From my personal experience with this, we just called it “hazing” and goofing around. You can’t survive in the military without being some kind of sexual deviant or sick bastard. It comes with the territory.

    • Tim

So, violating another person is just “goofing around?” Wow. It’s no wonder this nation is in the condition it’s in.

      • Kim

Just like Jerry Sandusky. He was just goofing around too, you know. (Roll eyes)

        • Tim

Yeah. And Sandusky’s wife goes on national TV and says her husband in innocent. Amazing. But I guess we shouldn’t be surprised. After all, Jerry’s salary from Penn State provided a very nice lifestyle for the Sanduskys for many years.

    • CallmeAdam

      Shameful…

  • Uzzy

Just more proof that when natural selection is not allowed to function properly = miscreants thrive and evil abounds. Left on its own, the human race is seriously disturbed and seriously disgusting.

  • Kim

Disgusting, animal-like behavior. Worse than animals, actually.

    • NowAlive

This society has been taught that we are just “advanced animals”. Sadly, I’m never surprised when they act as they’ve been taught.

“This society has been taught that we are just “advanced animals”.”

I think “flawed animals” would be a better term.

Please don’t insult animals. They have better sense.

      • Kim

        You’re right. My apologies.

        Www theusmarinesrape com

    • Sandra Trusso

You’re right, but even after the Church went through homosexual priests molesting little boys, we were still told that we were not to call them homosexuals. They were to be called pedophiles. Well, guess what, when a man molests a male child, he is a homosexual pedophile. Now from the gay community we’re being told that these are just sick people, but not homosexuals. Yet look in all the gay magazines and research NAMBLA (mainstream gays claim to not have any part of NAMBLA, yet many have spoken at their seminars, etc.)

      • krinks

Ironically enough this is a large scale problem. Walter Lee Hampton did a YouTube video on this. A lifelong gay man he admits that too many times to count gay men target boys as young as 12. This is common knowledge in the gay community.

      • Gay Veteran

well, guess what, when a man molests a female child, he is a heterosexual pedophile.

The fudgepacker&chief will make sure the Gay lobby is protected.

    • Gay Veteran

Sexual assault should be severely punished, PERIOD.

btw, from the NY Times article: “…Of those sexual assaults, 53 percent (approximately 14,000 in 2012) were attacks on men. A vast majority of perpetrators are men who identify themselves as heterosexual….”

          • Gay Veteran

            yawn

      • http://www.nrk.no/ Birger Skruddusvingen

“A vast majority of perpetrators are men who identify themselves as heterosexual.”

A vast majority of the 53 % share mentioned or of all the perpetrators?

I guess that the vast majority of those serving in the amy are men, so if that’s the fact it should come as no surprise if the “vast majority of perpetrators are men who identify themselves as heterosexual.”.

In that case they also ought to constitute the majority of victims.

      • Sandra Trusso

And that 53% were called “an all-time high”. This happened after Obama lifted the gay ban. You don’t notice the dramatic increase after the ban was lifted?

Why do you think that men and women are separated in barracks and showers in the military? To avoid sexual harassment and/or sexual assault. Now you take men who used self control in the past for fear of being discovered as gay and thrown out of the military, and they’re allowed to come out of the closet…. you put them into barracks and showers with other men (when they just admitted that they are turned on by men), and you think that these homosexuals have more self control than heterosexual men? Of course you’re going to see an increase in sexual assault and harassment.

Here’s the problem: These men are in the military for the goals of a)defending our country b) assuring the survival of their peers and themselves. They are not supposed to have to risk their lives by taking their focus off of staying alive and placing it on “who may be trying to sexually assault them in the shower, or while they’re sleeping.”

        • Gay Veteran

The numbers were flat for 2 years after the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. Using your logic the numbers should have immediately increased.
And it is interesting that you have no comments on the attacks on women.

          AGAIN:
Sexual assault should be severely punished, PERIOD.

          • Sandra Trusso

Obama allowed open homosexuality in the military in 2012. According to the “Sexual Assault” report released by the US Department of Defense, the assaults took place in 2012. So the numbers were not flat for 2 years.

Of course I feel the same about women who are assaulted. However the comments here are about “more sexual attacks on men by men, then upon women by men”. I do find it even more interesting that although sexual attacks on women are horrifying and should be punished, this report showed that “although men are known to not come forward as easily as women, of the sexual assaults in this report, 53% were upon men by men. (also, even when men DO report, not as much is done about as with women. – –
Yet, we’ve seen no such uprising about this. No one cares about men, only the women

          • Gay Veteran

            from the NYTimes column:

“…Of those sexual assaults, 53 percent (approximately 14,000 in 2012) were attacks on men. A vast majority of perpetrators are men who identify themselves as heterosexual….”

            AGAIN:
Sexual assault should be severely punished, PERIOD.

          • Sandra Trusso

Sounds like a great solution, but in the meantime we’re placing males in the showers and barracks with males who have already admitted to being turned on by males. What kind of idiots are we to expect that this isn’t going to cause a problem? Just as placing women in the showers with heterosexual men would cause a huge problem. I’m absolutely certain that homosexual men have no more will power or self control as heterosexual men when they’re tempted to this degree! So now we put the temptation right in their faces (including women and men on the battle field w/boots on the ground… I’m certain they don’t have separate quarters for dressing, sleeping, etc. and think there won’t be a problem here… ) and when it happens as it inevitably will, we DON’T punish the perpetrators (the report even stated that when men report sexual assault nothing is done).

          • Gay Veteran

the solution is obviously to ban men from the military since they can’t help themselves from attacking women and men

          • Gay Veteran

simple solution: reduce the size of the military so that it is a purely defensive force instead of an imperial force.

            I agree with Gerald Celente:
            bring the troops home
            seal the borders
            rebuild America
            NO foreign entanglements

          • Sandra Trusso

Right, and hand out smiles with coffee and doughnuts to the foreign terrorists who will be coming onto our soil (as they already are) to wage all out war upon us. I do agree with sealing the borders and rebuilding America, but if we don’t stop these people on their own soil, we’ll be under all out attack right here.

          • Gay Veteran

terrorists here? darling, that’s called blowback for the United States supporting dictators and murdering civilians.

“…but if we don’t stop these people on their own soil, we’ll be under all out attack right here….”

if you are so concerned about them Islamofascists then you need to march to your local army recruiting center AND SIGN UP!

government uses fear to gain more power, further shred our constitutional rights, and funnels yet more $TRILLIONS to the military-industrial-surveillance complex

          • Sandra Trusso

“terrorists here? darling, that’s called blowback for the United States supporting dictators and murdering civilians”

You mean like all of the civilians they’ve murdered? I remember everyone whining about our military placing underwear on the heads of prisoners, while the heads of our men were hanging on a bridge. This is another topic. Let’s stay on topic here.

          • Gay Veteran

no, your comments are very informative.

killing civilians? what do you think we are doing with our drones?

over a MILLION people have died because of our war of aggression against Iraq.

1000s have died in Libya because we overthrew a government we did not like.

10s of 1000s have died in Syria because we are helping to overthrew a government we do not like.

the biggest threat to world peace are the neo-cons who have infiltrated our government

If I can share a personal story of why I’m cautious about homosexuals in certain sector of the military. I was a Marine in 2003 and there was a guy in our infantry BN who was a Navy Corpsman (medic) that everyone made fun of as a homosexual (I never joined in, I just saw it from afar since I was with another company). He was in a platoon in which they were out in an Iraqi police station and they caught him doing sexual acts on a Marine who was sick and in his care. You can bet the Marine woke up and was in a rage for being a victim. I heard the story about it when this Corpsmen was dropped with us with two black eyes and no weapons; he was belligerent and unrepentant. This event made me question the wisdom of homosexuals in combat arms where people are at such close quarter and with little privacy (showering together, close contact in fighting hole, etc). We wouldn’t put a man in a woman’s restroom…but our policy makers are now open to put men and women regardless of orientation in combat roles where privacy is minimal and hormones off the charts. We’ll see more of these news report I’m afraid.

    • Georgiaboy61

There have always been homosexuals in the military; what has changed is the way the services treat them. The UCMJ was once written in such a way as to make very clear what the penalties for openly-homosexual conduct would be.

The old guard generals and admirals managed to protect the traditional culture of the military until the Bill Clinton years, when DADT was forced upon them.

From then on, the services were on the defensive and the perfumed princes in the Pentagon discovered that caving into the left and the cultural Marxists was easier – and resulted in faster promotions – than opposing them.

The old-school “hard corps” military was run that way for a reason – to instill and maintain discipline in the ranks – and it worked. If we ever get responsible leaders in charge again in this country, the old ways could work again.

Your accusation is a non-sequitur and a logical fallacy – but that’s no surprise, since folks like you with an axe to grind generally don’t act out of reason, but out of emotion – like petulant children who throw a temper tantrum when they can’t have everything exactly as they want it.
The “gay mafia” – i.e., the bullies who comprise the bulk of the homosexual political lobby and their leftist allies – have for years tried to link their movement with the civil rights era of black Americans, but such linkage is fundamentally flawed and invalid. Skin color as a difference is only skin deep, whereas sexual identity is not. Sexual behavior has real consequences – consequences that matter in institutions like the armed forces. That truth is being played out in the epidemic of homosexual rape now sweeping the military, amongst other places.
The truth of the matter is that the members of the gay mafia are aggressive and totalitarian in nature. They don’t seek parity with heterosexuals (something they have had for many years), but superiority over them. That is well-proven by the fiasco over privately-owned businesses – such as caterers and bakeries who prefer not to cater to gay clients – getting sued and forced to bend to the will of the gay mafia.
The sensible solution, one which respects the rights and liberties of all, would be for the homosexual couple or whoever to simply patronize a different establishment – one which would cater to their needs voluntarily. The party in question could also simply open their own “gays only” bakery. Let the market and free choice sort out the problem. Again, that wasn’t enough for the gay fascists – whose real goal was the breaking of traditional Americans on the wheel of political correctness and the destruction of their livelihoods and reputations.
The old saying goes, “Be careful what you wish for – you might just get it,” and that applies nowhere more stronger than to the misguided zealots in the so-called “homosexual rights” community. They have labored long and hard to overturn traditional culture in this country and elsewhere – and have had some “successes” and political/legal victories in tearing old ways down.
However, if you think traditional Americans or Europeans are so bad, just wait until the Muslims take over – as they have already done in so many European cities. You’ll then discover the error of your ways – but by then, it will be too-late. Don’t believe me? Fine – but try reading some Bruce Bawer instead; he is gay and used to hold some of the same notions you do – but when he lived in Europe, he had a change of heart and mind after gangs of “immigrant youths” (Muslim youths) assaulted him and his partner on several occasions.
My point is that you might want to consider how you treat your fellow Americans – even the traditional ones – for there may come a time when you need them. Keep up with the attacks on traditional people, and when the chips are down, you’ll find yourself all alone to face the tender mercies of your new “neighbors.”

hmmmmmm, sounds like you’re talking to yourself, junior

            “…wheel of political correctness…”

the problem (for you) is that you can no longer treat minorities the way you used to

“….The sensible solution, one which respects the rights and liberties of all, would be for the homosexual couple or whoever to simply patronize a different establishment – one which would cater to their needs voluntarily….”

Would you say the same thing if a baker refused to serve Christians? who refused to serve a couple one of whom is divorced from another spouse?

btw, there is a very simple solution: truth in advertising. Don’t want to serve Gays? Then post a notice on your front door.

“…if you think traditional Americans or Europeans are so bad, just wait until the Muslims take over….”

oh I get it, you’re wetting your pants over them Islamofascists.

“…Keep up with the attacks on traditional people, and when the chips are down, you’ll find yourself all alone to face the tender mercies of your new “neighbors.””

hey, your new “beighbors” don’t like Christians either.

and “traditional people”? you mean people who had to be dragged kicking and screaming into the late 20th Century

          • Georgiaboy61

“Bigot”? Why stop there – label me anything you like; it matters not.

The homosexual lobby, whom I term the “gay mafia,” are the biggest bullies and proto-fascists around, but the minute they don’t get their way, they either fly off the handle in enragement or they claim victim status. It’s all so predictable and tedious.

To state again, the ad hominem attack is a logical fallacy often used by those individuals who can’t argue on merit; instead they attack the character of the person they are opposing. You’ve done nothing but that since our debate started – suggesting that you have no arguments, no reason, and no logical leg to stand upon.

Do you have any arguments, or are you simply going to throw a temper tantrum like a child on a playground who isn’t getting his way?

Besides, if anyone is the bigot here, it is you – since you seem to hate anything and anyone connected with traditional America.

          • Gay Veteran

“…Besides, if anyone is the bigot here, it is you – since you seem to hate anything and anyone connected with traditional America.”

talk about an ad hominem attack

          • Georgiaboy61

Re: “wow, all that because I opposed DADT?”

I didn’t say that…. and you continue to misrepresent me via straw-man attacks. You really are lacking in any sort of cogent, effective arguments, aren’t you? Like so many ideologues, your position is all smoke, no fire; all heat and no light. Take away the emotionalism of your worldview, and you have nothing left.

Go ahead – make an argument, marshal some evidence, make a case – I dare you.

          • Gay Veteran

hey Einstein, why don’t YOU lay out the basis for claiming that I hate anything and anyone connected with traditional America
            jesus, talk about a strawman

          • Georgiaboy61

No need – your actions speak for themselves. You are the one who originally attacked me, remember?

I could write a book on the damage overturning DADT did to the U.S. military – maybe I will sometime – but I’ve got better things to do than debate the subject with the likes of you. Go pound sand, loser.

          • Gay Veteran

            got under my skin? no

            calling you out? yes

ONCE AGAIN, instead of all your whining why don’t YOU lay out the basis for claiming that I hate anything and anyone connected with traditional America!

  • DJohn1

The problem is it comes from the top. The corruption and the abomination is openly approved from the top.
What has to happen is the top of this pyramid has to be changed.
It is called government by commission or omission.
Demoncrats govern by commisison. Republicans appear to ignore the commisison and govern by omission.
So when both sides are devils, how do we change it?
The only way I know is good honest men have to change it from the bottom up. That takes guts and a lot of persistance.
Any decent person of any persuasion does not bully people and certainly does not use aggression to attack fellow people.
The armed forces have been full of bullies for years.

The only way to stop it is to start prosecuting it and eliminating the people doing it from the services.
Any time that people are using drugs, go straight to OSI in the Air Force with it. Bypass the chain of command. That is the only time I know of that you should ever bypass that chain of command. If the Inspector General’s office is uncorrupted, they will get to the bottom of it and the people doing it will have new homes in a military prison at hard labor and a dishonorable discharge. I have seen it happen when I was in service years ago and we had some corrupt people in Air Police.

    • jaxon64

This brings up another issue-I’ve seen numerous reports and even self admitting drug users with disguises– report that even though they are active in the military, that there is a virtual epidemic of synthetic marijuana and bath salts usage. They don’t get popped on drug screens so these doped out kids have found a way to get high while enlisted and not turn up dirty on screens.
Of course the big problem is the damage toi the brains from these chemical combinations which are invented in some college chem majors basement after they flunk out of school…..

  • jaxon64

I see a lot of this depravation escalated in the 1990’s as well.
“Commander-in-Chief” Clinton abolished sodomy, beastiality and homosexual restrictions and turned the military into a social experiment ( like they’ve done to public schools) by the halfway gesture of “don’t ask don’t tell.”
Leftists and LBGT militants knew that was good enough at the time because in another 10 years of hollyweird, school indoctrination of children and music industry pushing the gay agenda–they got open gayness in the military from the “Down-Low” Commander in Chief Obama ( annointed our “First Gay President”)
Throw in the effects of the decline in national morals and low-life character of a Commander in Chief ( slick willy) who is sticking cigars where they don’t belong with young impressionable girls in the oval office–a girl who was about his daughter’s age!!–is this any wonder that we sit here in 2014 with this kind of degradation of the military?
When our nation allowed him to lie under oath and the details of his perversion with a young girl came out–and he was still allowed to lead our country–I knew it was downhill from there. It has been quite precipitous..
So what’s the military changing their mottos to now?..How about, “In the US Armed Forces–we never leave our buddies (buddy’s) behind………”

Re: “Sexual Assaults In The Military Are At An All-Time High And Most Of Them Are Male On Male”

This outcome is what happens when the military is treated as a laboratory for social experimentation, and when the homosexual mafia is allowed to take over. The military was once a bastion of America’s traditional values, but it is clear that those days are now long gone. The leftists and post-modernists have subverted and taken over the armed forces – just like virtually every other institution in our society.

I have nothing against homosexuals, but I do have something against bullies – which is what individuals like you are.

The military, as structured during most of this nation’s history, was arguably the finest fighting force in the world. DADT worked fine – it allowed homosexuals to stay in uniform but preserved the essential character of the armed forces which has served them and the nation so well over the years. But no, that wasn’t enough for the gay mafia – you had to destroy one of this country’s finest institutions out of pure spite and petulance. Foolish doesn’t even begin to describe what the gay fascist movement has done.

Saint Catherine of Siena, a religious mystic of the 14th century, relays words of Our Lord Jesus Christ about the vice against nature, which contaminated part of the clergy in her time. Referring to sacred ministers, He says: “They not only fail from resisting
this frailty [of fallen human nature] . . . but do even worse as they commit the cursed sin against nature. Like the blind and stupid, having dimmed the light of their understanding, they do not recognize the disease and misery in which they find themselves. For this not only causes Me nausea, but displeases even the demons themselves, whom these miserable creatures have chosen as their
lords. For Me, this sin against nature is so abominable that, for it alone, five cities were submersed, by virtue of the judgment of My Divine Justice, which could no longer bear them. . . . It is disagreeable to the demons, not because evil displeases them and they find pleasure in good, but because their nature is angelic and thus is repulsed upon seeing such an enormous sin being committed. It is true that it is the demon who hits the sinner with the
poisoned arrow of lust, but when a man carries out such a sinful act, the demon leaves.”

Saint Augustine is categorical in the combat against sodomy and similar vices. The great Bishop of Hippo writes: “Sins against nature, therefore, like the sin of Sodom, are abominable and deserve punishment whenever and wherever they are committed. If all nations committed them, all alike would be held guilty of the same charge in God’s law, for our Maker did not prescribe that we should use each other in this way. In fact, the relationship that we ought to have with God is itself violated when our nature, of which He is Author, is desecrated by perverted lust.”
“Take away the supernatural and what remains is the unnatural.” G. K. Chesterton

Barry’s teaching them how to attack from the rear. Barry’s had his rear attacked plenty.

  • Piglet

Unfortunately this is nothing new. The only difference is that now the word is getting out via the web and it’s harder to keep such things under wraps, and harder for the brass to deny it’s happening or blame the victims (which they do).

No recent president or policy is to blame. The credit goes to the perps themselves and the institution they represent. These conditions have existed for a very, very long time and they’ll outlast anyone currently in positions of authority in either the military or the government.

Personal example: Soon after I arrived at my first assignment after training in 1975, a sergeant in my unit tried to attack me. I was lucky to get away. Had I not, he probably would have re-enacted a scene from “Deliverance” on me, and I would have been eating feathers as he stuffed my face in a pillow.

Most people have in their minds an image of the military that is 180 degrees different from reality, and I say that as someone who spent several decades in the military in various assignments and ranks. You could say it’s like grad school for unimaginably bad, even horrendous, behavior. Just putting on a government-issued costume doesn’t make an angel out of anyone. The only way for an individual to avoid such situations in the military is to avoid being in the military.

I should add that plenty of very similar behavior takes place elsewhere (anyone been on a college campus lately?) but at least as a civilian you won’t have a commander who orders you not to cooperate with investigators and has an interest in shutting you up so as not to blemish his command tour. (Yes, this does happen.)

Lastly, nothing said or done anyone in a position of high authority is going to change any of what’s taking place, and they know it. They’re just waiting for us to get distracted by the next scandal as we reach the limits of our attention span.

Doesn’t matter. Now that legislation intended to correct imbalances for race and gender have been recklessly extended to a group of people based on the normatively immoral sexual activity they choose to engage in (e.g. homosexuality): all of the other groups formed around normatively immoral activities (bestiality, pedophilia, polyamory, etc…) want exactly the same legislation applied to them too.

They are using the exact same reasons including the false assertion that they are “born that way.” I fully expect in time that they will all get special protections and privileges under the law over moral Americans that choose not to engage in those behaviors.

These moral Americans are already being persecuted by intolerant liberals and the immoral homosexual lobby for refusing to violate their moral consciences (a human right under natural law) and for the religious being deprived of their religious liberty (something the founders sought to protect in the Bill of Rights) and facilitate immoral activities and events (note that an activity or event is not a person) when ordered to do so by a homosexual.

We are witnessing the rise of the new left’s tyranny upon all moral Americans in the U.S..

Homosexuals are the catalyst for the end of morality in America.

        • Gay Veteran

          “…normatively immoral sexual activity….”

          “…bestiality, pedophilia, polyamory, etc….”

only if you consider equality to be “special protections”

“…Homosexuals are the catalyst for the end of morality in America.”
          no, bigots like you are

          • Sandra Trusso

Sexual behavior choices are not guaranteed in our constitution.

          • Gay Veteran

if you believe that then there is NO limit on the power of the government.
btw, you’re wrong, equal protection of the laws

          • Sandra Trusso

Equal protection of persons, not behavior. If all behaviors were protected we would have no laws against murder, theft, spouse/child abuse, etc.

          • Gay Veteran

we have equal protection for religion, that is behavior.

btw, murder, theft, and spouse/child abuse HARM people.

you need to read “On Liberty” by John Stuart Mill. you can do whatever you want so long as you do not harm another person

          • Sandra Trusso

The Constitution is specific on the few behaviors they allow. I do not agree with the libertarian misinterpretation of the Constitution. I also do not agree with the libertarian definition of “liberty”…. as being anything goes.

In my opinion (although I have no problem with homosexual persons, in fact I have a lot of respect for some I’ve met, and like them very much as persons) I believe in most cases (disregarding the religious aspect) homosexuality does harm people. I remember in Miami-Dade with the first homosexual ordinance we received hundreds of calls and all but one, when asked how he became a homosexual, claimed that he had been molested as a child.

          • Gay Veteran

you obviously have a desire to dicate to people how they should live their lives, a very authoritarian characteristic.
the Constitution was not written in a vacuum, it was preceded by the Declaration of Independence.
the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, NOT what YOU are willing to allow!

          • Sandra Trusso

First: The pursuit of happiness means only that you have the right to “pursue” happiness. It does not guarantee that every definition of happiness will be considered a right. You must realize that everyone’s idea of happiness cannot possibly be considered a “right”, because the minute one person’s idea of a “right” is enforced, it immediately infringes upon the person whose idea of a “right” is in opposition. Thus only one or the other can exist as a right.

Besides, There are two ways of interpreting law. 1) By the original intent of the law at the time it was enacted 2) By legal precedent (previous rulings relative to a specific law)

Since homosexuality was not legal at the time that either the Declaration of Independence, or the US Constitution were written, we can safely assume that homosexuality was not the “original intent” of either. – Furthermore, since homosexuality was illegal in most states (if not all), until fairly recently, there was never a legal precedent legalizing it. Therefore when a precedent WAS recently set, it was not set based upon either a previous precedent, or an original intent of any law.

One can only take from this that when the courts ruled, they based it on personal feelings, or personal agenda; not original intent, or legal precedent. Therefore, the courts unconstitutionally created law (the function of Congress), rather than interpreting law (which is the only constitutional function of the courts).

This leaves the legalization of open homosexuality in the military (brought about by Executive Order, bypassing Congress altogether) at best unconstitutional, and at worst dictatorial. Even if you believe in this content of this Executive Action, it has to concern every American that a President will just take this upon himself knowing (through all the states which have voted against gay marriage) that the people do not want this, and that the military polls (claiming that most were in favor of it) were also skewed. The rampant corruption is intolerable.

          • Gay Veteran

“…You must realize that everyone’s idea of happiness cannot possibly be considered a “right”, because the minute one person’s idea of a “right” is enforced, it immediately infringes upon the person whose idea of a “right” is in opposition. Thus only one or the other can exist as a right….”

            give an example.

and AGAIN: you need to read “On Liberty” by John Stuart Mill. you can do whatever you want so long as you do not harm another person.

“…Besides, There are two ways of interpreting law. 1) By the original intent of the law at the time it was enacted 2) By legal precedent (previous rulings relative to a specific law)….”

NO, there is also the plain meaning of the words.

“…Since homosexuality was not legal at the time that either the Declaration of Independence, or the US Constitution were written, we can safely assume that homosexuality was not the “original intent” of either….”

If the writers of the 14th amendment intended it to apply ONLY to Blacks then they would have included that limitation in it. Using your “logic”, the Bill of Rights would not apply to the states because the Supreme Court used to the 14th Amendment to force the states to obey the Bill of Rights.

“…One can only take from this that when the courts ruled, they based it on personal feelings, or personal agenda; not original intent, or legal precedent….”

again: NO, there is also the plain meaning of the words.

“…This leaves the legalization of open homosexuality in the military (brought about by Executive Order, bypassing Congress altogether) at best unconstitutional, and at worst dictatorial….”

darling, you need to educate yourself!!! Congress passed a law repealing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell:

“…Senators Joe Lieberman and Susan Collins introduced a bill that included the policy-related portions of the Defense Authorization Act that they considered more likely to pass as a stand-alone bill.[148] It passed the House on a vote of 250 to 175 on December 15, 2010.[149] On December 18, 2010, the Senate voted to end debate on its version of the bill by a cloture vote of 63–33.[150] The final Senate vote was held later that same day, with the measure passing by a vote of 65–31.[151]….”

          • Sandra Trusso

I stand corrected on the repeal of DADT. I was confusing the “Executive Order” with the fact that the repeal wouldn’t take place until 60 days after the legislation passed (awaiting the requirement that the President and the Secretary of Defense had to sign off on the determination that the policies that were in place, were “consistent with military standards for readiness, effectiveness, unit cohesion, and recruiting and retention.”).

          • Gay Veteran

I’m impressed, few people on-line will admit error

I also take back my “stand corrected” post. After reading the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Repeal Act of 2010″ (in its entirety) I discovered that while Congress DID repeal DADT, the law further stipulated that it could not be implemented for 60 days… not until the President, his Sec. of Defense and the Pentagon signed off, assuring it would have no effect on military readiness, etc. – – It also stipulated that they would have to make whatever policy changes, etc. – – The law passed by Congress did not ever even mention open homosexuality in the military. So the bottom line is that while the Pres didn’t pass this by Executive Order, Congress had nothing to do with it…. Open homosexuality was done completely by the Pres, his Sec of Defense and the Pentagon – ALL BY THEMSELVES, because the law gave them authority to change whatever they wanted.

            1) Re individual rights – Examples of how when one person’s individual rights are enforced it immediately infringes upon the rights of those of the opposing view
            – The individual right of a woman to abort her unborn child V the individual right of the child, to live.
            – The individual right of a person to smoke recreational Pot V the individual rights of a person to not live in fear of how the mind altering drug will negatively affect him (My brother was killed by a hit and run driver on Pot, who had 19 Pot-related DWI’s against his license, and was still driving with a suspended license. He had not harmed anyone, until he did. The point is to try to avoid the harm to begin with thereby enforcing a person’s right to live without fear of what’s going to happen to him or his family V enforcing a person’s right to get high on Pot.

            2) I disagree with John Stewart Mill’s definition of “liberty” (as doing anything you want as long as it doesn’t harm anyone. When the potential for harming others exists (as with my brother’s death) then to allow this is not “liberty” for anyone except the Pot smoker. I also disagree with his misinterpretation of the Constitution.

Since I have not addressed you in a condescending manner, I ask that you dispense with the written tone of “darling”, as well as the condescending reference to my needing to “educate myself”. I think I’ve shown myself to be well educated in the fields about which I’ve written. However, even educated persons are capable of confusing, or mistakenly stating something once in a while and it does not warrant this type of remark. I deserve the same respect I’ve given you.

          • Gay Veteran

“… I deserve the same respect I’ve given you.”

darling, you tried to tie gays with pedophilia, so you can go F yourself with a rusty chainsaw.

          • Gay Veteran

“…One can only take from this that when the courts ruled, they based it on personal feelings, or personal agenda; not original intent, or legal precedent. Therefore, the courts unconstitutionally created law (the function of Congress), rather than interpreting law (which is the only constitutional function of the courts)….”

you do understand that legal equality for WOMEN is based on the equal protection of the law in the 14th Amendment?
but then I guess it depends on whose ox is getting gored, eh

          • Sandra Trusso

Again: There is a difference between a person’s gender, and a behavior choice. With the exception of a few explicit behaviors, the constitution protects persons; not behaviors

          • Gay Veteran

            and the point is?

May God soon bring judgement on this nation that has become so vile.

        awww, troll is so excited

        • Wayne Chipman

Pretty funny coming from a Qu33r, as I never Lie.
Michelle Obama is like you, as it has an Adam’s Apple and Man Hands and is often called Michael by it’s Qu33r Lover. Unedited photo’s of it caught in a dress in the wind showing it’s ball covering.
Wake up America, Us allowing these vile filthy Homosexuals to run rampant in our society is ruining our Country.
Qu33rs do not reproduce they recruit.

          • Gay Veteran

awwww, sad pathetic troll so filled with hate

          • Wayne Chipman

You mistake Hate with disgust, hard to hate someone who is mentally unbalanced like yourself.
Being disgusted by vile filthy disease spreading creatures like you comes naturally.

          • Gay Veteran

has your Klan sheets come back from the cleaners? bigots like you usually hate more than one minority

          • Wayne Chipman

You sound as if you are all for males raping males.
Sick Vile Creature that you are.

          • Gay Veteran

you sound like an ignorant bigot.
Sick pathetic creature that you are.

          • Wayne Chipman

If being disgusted by men raping men is being an Ignorant Bigot, then I am very proud to be an Ignorant Bigot.

Sick and pathetic seems to be a term that describes you though.

          • Gay Veteran

rape? sounds more like your style, but then you’re probably impotent

          • Sandra Trusso

Unless you have proof of Michelle’s transgender, please don’t make these kind of statements. How a person looks is not what we should be concerned about. The behavior that one chooses is what should concern us. Please try to stick to factual information, not personal attacks, and especially not on the fact that a woman has large hands, etc…. That doesn’t mean she’s actually a man. Photographs can be doctored and you can’t believe every photograph you see on the internet.

I do not like the way Michelle Obama chooses to behave for many other reasons, but not for something she can’t help.

      • Sandra Trusso

Mr. Chipman – This is a terrible way to communicate with someone. We are called to love all persons. We cannot judge persons, but we are obligated to judge chosen behaviors. Much of the information you’ve given can be verified, so please, for goodness sake, don’t stoop to name calling and meanness.

    • Sandra Trusso

Instead of calling names, why not show proof that the man is actually lying as you say he is. What possible good does this kind of rhetoric do?

      • Gay Veteran

because I learned a long time ago that it is a waste of time arguing with bigots or racists

“Sexual Assaults In The Military Are At An All-Time High And Most Of Them Are Male On Male”

What else could you expect? You must be incredibly stupid if you allow women and/or faggots to serve in the military. You reap what you sow, so don’t act surprised. It’s not like you wasn’t warned!

    • Gay Veteran

might actually respect what you said IF you had ever served
but they you’re just a yellow cur

  • David_Smith

    Lol. Well said Birger.

Once upon a time, I was walking the dark streets of a FOB in Tikrit. I was just in-country and leaving a MWR trailer for my place in a dark neighborhood of former Iraqi AF bungalows. It was about midnight and there were very few lights to be seen. The only sound was from scattered generators. As I walked down the street, an SUV full of GIs followed me quietly with just their fog lights on. They followed me around the corner and up my street quietly, then when I started looking back, they pulled past me quickly, pulled a fast U-turn, pulled up alongside me, and all four doors opened at the same time. By the time they got out, I had already run and ducked behind my place. The GIs couldn’t see where I was and quickly hopped back into their car and took off. I didn’t know if they were going to roll me or rape me, but I never spent a day in-country after that without my Cold Steel SRK strapped on my back.

So yeah, I believe this is for reals…

  • folgers5

I also had a female Navy friend who told me about how the lesbians on her ship would arrange with friendly males to target a desirable female, try to get her drunk and assault her or otherwise humiliate her, and drive her into the lesbians’ arms. No joke, they did this stuff.

  • folgers5

Another buddy of mine was in AFG. He told me about GIs in Kandahar who were raped by Romanian soldiers. They would find a lone GI, or two, walking down the road, offer them a ride, and take them off to their camp to rape them. Let’s hear it for international cooperation!

snort, remember you claiming that I hate anything and anyone connected with traditional America?
WOW, what a hypocrite you are.

ONCE AGAIN, instead of all your whining why don’t YOU lay out the basis for claiming that I hate anything and anyone connected with traditional America!
Go ahead – make an argument, marshal some evidence, make a case – I dare you.
