Schools All Over America Are Closing On Election Day Due To Fears Of Violence

vote-2016-public-domainWill this be the most chaotic election day in modern American history? All across the nation, schools are being closed on election day due to safety fears. Traditionally, schools have been very popular as voting locations because they can accommodate a lot of people, they usually have lots of parking, and everyone in the community knows where they are and can usually get to them fairly easily. But now there is a big movement to remove voting from schools or to shut schools down on election day so that children are not present when voting takes place. According to Fox News, “voting has been removed or classes have been canceled on Election Day at schools in Illinois, Maine, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and elsewhere.” Just a couple days ago, I shared with you a survey that found that 51 percent of all Americans are concerned about violence happening on election day, and all of these schools closing is just another sign of how on edge much of the population is as we approach November 8th.

Many officials are being very honest about the fact that schools are being shut down on election day because they are afraid of election violence. The following comes from Fox News

Several schools across the nation have decided to close on Election Day over fears of possible violence in the hallways stemming from the fallout from the heated rhetoric that consumed the campaign trail.

The fear is the ugliness of the election season could escalate into confrontations and even violence in the school hallways, endangering students.

“If anybody can sit there and say they don’t think this is a contentious election, then they aren’t paying much attention,” Ed Tolan, the Falmouth, Maine police chief, said Tuesday. His community has already called off classes on Nov. 8 and an increased police presence will be felt around town.

And without a doubt, voting locations are “soft targets” that often have little or no security. We have been blessed to have had such peaceful elections in the past, but we also need to realize that times have changed. I believe that there is wisdom in what Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp told reporters

“There is a concern, just like at a concert, sporting event or other public gathering that we didn’t have 15 or 20 years ago,” said Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp, co-chairman of the National Association of Secretaries of State election committee. “What if someone walks in a polling location with a backpack bomb or something? If that happens at a school, then that’s certainly concerning.”

All it is going to take is a single incident to change everything.

Let us hope that it is not this election day when we see something like that.

Another reason why polling locations are under increased scrutiny this election season is because of concerns about election fraud. This is something that Donald Trump has alluded to repeatedly on the campaign trail. For instance, just consider what he told a rally in Pennsylvania

“We don’t want to lose an election because you know what I’m talking about,” Trump told an overwhelmingly white crowd in Manheim, Pa., earlier this month. “Because you know what? That’s a big, big problem, and nobody wants to talk about it. Nobody has the guts to talk about it. So go and watch these polling places.”

And of course reports are already pouring in from around the country of big problems with the voting machines. In Illinois this week, one candidate personally experienced a machine switching his votes from Republicans to Democrats…

Early voting in Illinois got off to a rocky start Monday, as votes being cast for Republican candidates were transformed into votes for Democrats.

Republican state representative candidate Jim Moynihan went to vote Monday at the Schaumburg Public Library.

“I tried to cast a vote for myself and instead it cast the vote for my opponent,” Moynihan said. “You could imagine my surprise as the same thing happened with a number of races when I tried to vote for a Republican and the machine registered a vote for a Democrat.”

In addition, if you keep up with my work on The Economic Collapse Blog, then you already know that a number of voters down in Texas have reported that their votes were switched from Donald Trump to Hillary Clinton.

Well, it turns out that those voting machines appear to have a link to the Clinton Foundation

According to OpenSecrets, the company who provided the alleged glitching voting machines is a subsidiary of The McCarthy Group.

The McCarthy group is a major donor to the Clinton Foundation – apparently donating 200,000 dollars in 2007 – when it was the largest owner of United States voting machines. Or perhaps the 200,000 dollars went to paying Bill Clinton for speeches?

Either way, it doesn’t look good.

After everything that we saw in 2012, I am convinced that there is good reason to be concerned about the integrity of our voting machines.

But Democrats don’t like poll observers, because they think that having too many poll observers will intimidate their voters…

“It’s un-American, but at the same time we have a long history of doing things like that,” Ari Berman, author of the 2016 book “Give Us the Ballot: The Modern Struggle for Voting Rights in America,” previously told The Christian Science Monitor. “Voting was very, very dangerous. I don’t think anyone’s suggesting that we’re at the same place today. I just think the loss of the [official poll observers] is going to be really problematic.”

Without a doubt, this has been the craziest election season that we have seen in decades, and I have a feeling that it is about to get even crazier.

But will the end result be the election of the most corrupt politician in the history of our country?

If that is the outcome after all that we have been through, it will be exceedingly depressing indeed.

I hope that all the government schools close down on Election Day. That would be sweet.

    • Rusty Nale

So the older kids will act out on the streets, as opposed to school. They can do more damage that way. Either way, it will get…interesting.

  • Ice Doc

The public schools should all close permanently, but not due to fear of violence, but rather fear of the continual propaganda they foster.

    • L. A. McDonough

Any parent that sends their kids to gov. schools is either a liberal PC socialist person or just plain dumbed down/uninformed about gov. brainwashing.

      • steve

Some parents have no choice to send their kids to public school because it costs money to send them private. It’s the parents job to teach them right, not the school…To make such a dumb statement that one who sends their kids to public school is a liberal PC socialist is just plain dumb yourself. I agree, the public school is indoctinating our children, but some people don’t have that choice financially

        • L. A. McDonough

Then either don’t have the kid (s) or get a job to pay for school. Everyone I hear has the same ;lame excuse to put them in gov. schools. Most colleges are even worse, turning young people into leftists even tho parents taught them right. People make choices.

          • William Lutz

There is nothing wrong with public education itself. The matter is that public schools have become politically correct indoctrination prisons where kids are programmed to think a certain way. All what kids are taught now is how to concretely memorize facts in the short term and they are forced to take these daunting standardized tests that do more harm than good. On top of that, they are not well informed when it comes to history or heritage. No wonder kids don’t learn enough these days.

          • gmo = organ failure

There’s a TON of lies on certain subjects like health. My h.s. book says gmos are good, they taught me the My Pyramid which is totally wrong 4 longevity. They never said “Federal Reserve” is a private bank cartel that took over US & is not federal at all; my elementary school says milk = strong bones (not if cooked), etc.
They never said a peep about fluoride in the water.

take away the phone a nd calculator and ask them what 8 x 6 is!!

          • jaxon64

WL said, “There is nothing wrong with public education itself. ”
Actually, there is ton wrong with the very principle of public education.
Privatize it, like it was for centuries, and you would eliminate the corrupt textbook publishers, govt mandating curricula with an agenda, the notion of creating worker drones who only are taught by rote and not critical thinking and the giant bureaucracy that absorbs 94c of every dollar appointed for education that never reaches the actual classroom.
Nothing wrong with public education? -everything is wrong with it. We have become so accustomed to the status quo that we are almost fearful of the better way–as legions of automatons with declining verbal, written and math/science skills are forced into a world without the industrial/factory jobs that are school systems were designed to produce workers for.

          • TheLulzWarrior

That it is public is the problem? false!

The problem is a myriad of known indoctrination centers, both public and private, that has been active since the 1960s and there has been no major efforts to shut it all down.

Private school? Home schooling? No, that is shirking from responsibility!

The answer is that society should work the way it should, corrupt textbook publishers should be arrested and sent to jail. Get a f***ing grip, Murica!

“the notion of creating worker drones”

Well, guess what? Most people have to work and the better prepared they are, the better, that is just reality whever you like it or not.
If anything, one major problem is that litteraly millions of students comes out of the “education system” with no clues when it comes to jobs!

        • TheLulzWarrior

“It’s the parents job to teach them right, not the school…”

No, it is the parents jobs to ride schools of all these cultural-marxists! Gotta remove them all!

      • Oliver

You appear to be either a liberal yourself, very young and don’t know any better, or just fundamentally ignorant. Steve is right, the responsibility is the parents to “train up the child in the way it should go”. Public school is the real world. All sorts of characteristics, personal gain from trials and tribulations are gathered to prepare a young boy or girl for the collegiate culture. I feel sorry for many of the sheltered ones that are homeschooled. Many need a safe space if they are offended later in life at the workplace. Now if the parents are raw and real with their young ones while practicing homeschooling, they will acclimate nicely in this sick, perverted, twisted, morally decayed world. Bible Book studies would be wise as an elective in the homeschool program. I am a slave and servant of Jesus Christ, so I understand we do not harbor the same outlook. Good day, sir.

        • L. A. McDonough

Oliver the troll: And you are one of many that are stuck in stupid and a Hillary fan no doubt, along with being a hypocrite. Christians home school or send kids to Christian schools. You are a “religious liberal ” in one of these ultra liberal gov. controlledPC churches like many deceived who will end up cast out. Go to a leftist blog and get a life.

          • Oliver

Wow you just proved your ignorance. I’m a 25 year conservative, and am aware that many Christians homeschool. If you were more educated on American culture, and the “easy believing ” Joel Olsteen type Christian false doctrine, I would debate with you kindly. You are just to out in the centerfield stands for me.

          • L. A. McDonough

Anyone like you is a fool endorsing gov schools, and 501c3 churches I refuse to reply to trolls like you further, who know nothing of these liberal churches who are gov. gate keepers and preach like Olsteen and other apostates, you moron.

          • Oliver

You just cannot translate English well. I denounced Olsteen, and I do not attend or support church’s that are 501c3 Martial Law compliant. Let’s leave it here kid, you are very young guy I take it. Much study in current events, and rightly dividing scripture would be a start for self educating yourself. And try and find a church that gleans from the teachings of Francis Turretien, Matthew Henry, John Calvin, Martin Luther. You know, Calvanist. By the way, Happy Reformation Day.

          • L. A. McDonough

You are a fool, loving the gov. schools like you do, I hope you didn’t raise any kids to become zombies of the NWO idiot. I bashed the gov. schools stupid. get a life loser.

    • ISA41:10

So True! Public school is child abuse!

    • kfilly

Amazingly, those same schools do not teach children any basic life skills. Things like balancing a check book, how credit cards work, how to grow a garden, how to cook, etc. Yep, all most schools are is socialist propaganda centers.

      • qt

They do teach how to cook if u take that elective in high school. However they never seem to say cooked food has less nutrients. Juicing or blending or just raw is better.
You’re right I never learned much basic life skills or gardening. Like how to save for retirement or build credit or about health insurance.

      • Schools are not Government-sanctioned parents. Schools should not be expected to teach children ANYTHING which is a parent’s obligation.

I hope you know as well as anyone else that if schools started taking over the parents’ roles in their children’s lives (like you’re suggesting they do) that all decent Americans would scream about the Socialist European takeover of American schools. The schools and curricula you describe already happen in the most liberal/leftist places of Europe.

    • TheLulzWarrior

No, the public schools should simply be systematically purged of its cultural-marxist propagandists.

no matter who wins, Clinton or Trump, I suspect widespread Violence in America. As Divided as America is I don’t think it will be out of the ordinary. 18 States have swat teams preparing & getting ready for Nov. 8 as I write this.

    • Donald supporters on Stormfront and RoK have already promised death and mayhem if their Fuhrer does not win.

Best to be safe and stocked up on foods and weapons from now until her swearing in ceremony in January.

  • Joan Camara

Schools are always closed on election day….wtf?

  • To anyone gullible enough to believe the latest Reddit scam about voting machines switching votes from Crooked Donald to Secretary of State Clinton, PLEASE Google the Raw Story article: Trump fans flood the web with bogus voter fraud stories as officials scramble to debunk them.

Honestly, if something appears on World News Daily Report, then you should already know it’s been 100% faked.

    • twinkie

On the radio they said George Soros owns voting machines in 16 states. He wants Hillary.

      • The only arrest for attempted voter fraud in the 2016 election goes to a Donald Trump supporter in Iowa. Terri Rote, 55, was arrested because she voted for Crooked Donald more than once, and she did so because of Crooked Donald’s exhortations to his acolytes to “counteract” the [non-existent] voter fraud he claims that Clinton’s voters are perpetrating.

So, in case anyone is still confused as to who’s committing ALL of the voter fraud, it’s Donald’s fans. The “vote-switching” reported at polling stations have been traced IMMEDIATELY to user-malfunction, meaning the person who voted did not follow correct instructions. It can happen to anyone… but it seems to mostly plague lesser-intelligent voters, fitting right along with those people who proudly support their idi0t-in-chief-wannabe.

Is it a coincidence that the schools closing from worries of violence seem to be in areas that are, well, blue.
    .
They know, just as we have all seen, who the violent ones are.

We use on-line schooling and believe me, it is a lot of work for a stay-at-home person. His grandmother(my wife) does a lot of that work.
I normally keep the machines running for our 12-year-old grandson to do the work and I pay the bills when it comes to the internet.
What we get for this on-line schooling is a lot more one-on-one training for our grandson. There is also the supervision of the training so that it isn’t a Russian government type propaganda machine. Questions from the student are encouraged.
The back side of this is we do not have the virus infested 30-40 student classroom. We do not have the fear of some idiot coming into the school with a deadly weapon and starting a shoot out killing teachers and students. Our bathrooms are always clean.
He gets home cooked meals every day.
The state provides the funding so that it is not a burden on us.
His mother works full time. She has the school issued computer at home so we can vary the hours when he learns to suit her schedule. So essentially he has two teachers. One at home and one here at his grandparent’s house.
You want to stop it cold? Make the psychologist responsible for his patient’s behavior and put them in jail if they let a nut case go free. Especially if they are on prescribed drugs that make them crazy.
Make it a five to ten year federal sentence if anyone is caught with a gun committing a crime. Without parole.
Start a foreign legion for anyone that is a habitual criminal and farm them to an island for life at hard labor.
Give drug addicts a medical treatment and develop said treatment because they are technically insane if they are addicted and will likely do anything to get that drug.
The war on drugs is a total failure.
All of this provides a weapon for a political party willing and able to commit crime to get in office.
If election fraud is traced to a political party disqualify them from getting elected period. Then have the appropriate authorities investigate and convict them and put them in jail.

  • DJohn1

Isn’t it amazing!! The FBI has figured out that EMAILS go in two directions . . . will wonders never stop.
So all those deleted EMails are still out there somewhere. Possibly on her address list of sent files to various people on a multitude of different hard drives. Possibly on Democrat computers everywhere.
So basically all they have to recover is her address list of people she has sent them to.
That is cause for violence(diversions) everywhere.

  • celticreeler

American communities pay dearly for the edifices of the public schools. In my state, it is illegal for any tax-supported buildings to deny the county election authority not only the use of a building for a polling place, but their CHOICE of the room in the building for a polling place!

In my area, 85% of the property tax goes to the schools. They are on a constant juggernaut of expansion and building. They have tax-exempt tracts that cover large areas of prime city real estate. This off-loads the burden of paying for infrastructure (roads, sewers) and law enforcement to the common people.

When the schools are continually asking for new and higher tax levies, they should have the decency to allow voting in their buildings. It is the job of law enforcement to protect the republican form of government that the Constitution (which all LEO’s take an oath to) guarantees to every state (Article IV, Section 4.)

    • TheLulzWarrior

The answer is that since they cost taxpayers, they must be held accountable for taxpayers.

They must be made accountable, I see a lot of commenters going on about how they indoctrinate children with leftist claptrap but not that this same indoctrination effort MUST. BE. SHUT. DOWN.
The answer is not homeschooling or private education, it is to make it illegal for them to push political correctness and to punish them severly if they do, revoke watever license they have for teaching or even put them in jail for child abuse.

  • TheLulzWarrior

“But now there is a big movement to remove voting from schools or to shut schools down on election day so that children are not present when voting takes place.”
