Preppers Are Now Considered To Be Potential Terrorists?

If you and your family store up lots of food, will you be identified as “potential terrorists” by law enforcement authorities?  That sounds like an insane question, but sadly it has gotten to the point where “preparing for the worst” has become a “suspicious activity”.  Today, there are millions of preppers all across the United States, and the vast majority of them just want to be left alone and do not want the government to interfere in their lives.  Storing up food is a completely peaceful activity, and preppers are generally some of the most patriotic and law-abiding people that you could ever hope to meet.  Unfortunately, prepping has become associated with “extremism” by many in the government, and lately we have seen some very disturbing signs that authorities are actively seeking to gather information on preppers.  So are preppers now considered to be potential terrorists?  Well, read the evidence posted in the rest of this article and decide for yourself.

The other day, U.S. Senator Rand Paul gave a speech on the floor of the U.S. Senate during which he suggested that having “more than seven days of food” in your house could potentially get you branded as a “potential terrorist” by the federal government.  The following is an excerpt from that speech….

Know good and well that some day there could be a government in power that is shipping its citizens off for disagreements. There are laws on the books now that characterize who might be a terrorist.

Someone missing fingers on their hands is a suspect according to the Department of Justice. Someone who has guns, someone who has ammunition that is weatherproofed, someone who has more than seven days of food in their house can be considered a potential terrorist.

If you are suspected by these activities do you want the government to have the ability to send you to Guantanamo Bay for indefinite detention?

You can see video of this speech right here.  It is incredibly chilling to hear a defender of liberty such as Rand Paul warn of such things.

But just because a politician says something that does not always mean that it is true.

So is there any evidence that Americans that are storing up food are being watched by the federal government?

Unfortunately, there is.  In fact, Oath Keepers has posted a report about one incident in which federal agents actually visited a food production facility and demanded the names of anyone that has been “purchasing bulk food”.  The following come from an article about this incident that was recently written by Rand Cardwell, the president of the Tennessee chapter of the Oath Keepers….

A fellow veteran contacted me concerning a new and disturbing development. He had been utilizing a Mormon cannery near his home to purchase bulk food supplies. The man that manages the facility related to him that federal agents had visited the facility and demanded a list of individuals that had been purchasing bulk food. The manager informed the agents that the facility kept no such records and that all transactions were conducted on a cash-and-carry basis. The agents pressed for any record of personal checks, credit card transactions, etc., but the manager could provide no such record. The agents appeared to become very agitated and after several minutes of questioning finally left with no information. I contacted the manager and personally confirmed this information.

Why in the world would federal agents be so interested in Americans that are “purchasing bulk food”?

Don’t they have anything better to do?

As I have written about previously, authorities are also now using a tool developed by the CDC to conduct “door to door disaster preparedness assessments” in some areas of the United States.

The following comes from a local news report in Tennessee….

The Metro Public Health and the Tennessee Department of Health will be using a tool designed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to go door to door and check to see how disaster ready you are.

The door to door assessment will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. It will be in 30 neighborhoods in Davidson County that have been randomly selected to be the target of a door to door assessment.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want anyone coming to my door to “assess” how “prepared” I am.

This is all very, very disturbing.

Lately, the federal government seems absolutely obsessed with the distribution of food.

As author Brandon Turbeville noted recently, “the U.S. government has publicly raided organic food shops, raw milk distributors, and the Amish with guns drawn” in recent years.

Aren’t there bigger threats to national security than the Amish?

Unfortunately, we now live in a “Big Brother” police state where just about anything can be considered a “suspicious activity”.

In fact, according to the FBI a bulk purchase of “meals ready to eat” is now considered to be “suspicious activity” that should be reported to them.

When the “war on terror” started a decade ago, we were told that we needed to fight the terrorists “over there” so that they would not come over here.

Well, now we are being told that the United States itself is part of the “battleground” and that the “terrorists” might just be our neighbors.

We are being told that if we “see something” that we should “say something” to the government.

In essence, the federal government wants us all to “inform” on one another.

Now that most of the big name terrorists have been removed from the picture, the Obama administration and the mainstream media are really hyping the idea that “homegrown terrorism” is a grave danger.

Just check out these headlines from the past few days….

ABC News: “White House Unveils New Strategy to Fight Homegrown Terrorism

USA Today: “White House unveils new strategy to combat homegrown terror

CNN: “Measuring the homegrown terrorist threat to U.S. military

The entire focus of the “war on terror” has shifted.  According to FBI Director Robert Mueller, “homegrown terrorists” represent as big a threat to American national security as al-Qaeda does at this point.

America is rapidly changing, and not for the better.  All of this paranoia is going to rip this country apart.

In addition, have you noticed how they have taken the word “Islamic” out of their description of the terrorists and have replaced it with words like “extremist” and “extremism”?

Well, the truth is that just about anyone can be considered an “extremist” in one sense or another.

In fact, a recent Salon article asked this question: “Are Evangelicals A National Security Threat?

These days, if you support an “alternative” political candidate there is a good chance that you will be labeled as an extremist.

During the 2008 election, one law enforcement report identified supporters of presidential candidates Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin, and Bob Barr as potential terrorists.

Today, if you have a religious or political ideology that differs from the “orthodoxy” of the federal government then you are probably considered to be an “extremist”.

Beliefs that were once considered normal are now considered to be “dangerous” and “radical”.

For example, one unclassified Department of Homeland Security report published a couple of years ago entitled “Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” claimed that a belief in Bible prophecy “could motivate extremist individuals and groups to stockpile food, ammunition and weapons.”

During a Congressional hearing earlier this year, U.S. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee warned that “Christian militants” might try to “bring down the country” and that such groups need to be investigated.

Back on February 20, 2009, the State of Missouri issued a report entitled “MIAC Strategic Report: The Modern Militia Movement“.  That report warned that the following types of people may be potential terrorists….

*anti-abortion activists

*those that are against illegal immigration

*those that consider “the New World Order” to be a threat

*those that have a negative view of the United Nations

As I have written about previously, a very revealing document obtained by Oath Keepers shows that the FBI is actually instructing store owners to report many new forms of “suspicious activity” to them.

So what does the FBI consider “suspicious activity” to include?  According to the document, the FBI now considers “suspicious activity” to include the following….

*paying with cash

*missing a hand or fingers

*”strange odors”

*making “extreme religious statements”

*”radical theology”

*purchasing weatherproofed ammunition or match containers

*purchasing meals ready to eat

*purchasing night vision devices, night flashlights or gas masks

All of this is completely and totally ridiculous.

Law enforcement authorities should quit worrying about preppers.  The vast majority of us that are preparing for the hard times that are coming truly love this country, are completely and totally non-violent, and just want to be left alone.

There are real threats to national security out there, but the federal government refuses to address them.  For example, our border with Mexico is wide open and it has been documented that terror groups are working in northern Mexico and have been coming across the border on a regular basis.

But instead of securing the border, the Obama administration is granting “backdoor amnesty” to illegal aliens instead.

In addition, law enforcement authorities should look into the massive breach of national security that the “Fast and Furious” scandal represents.  With the full knowledge of the Department of Justice, ATF agents facilitated the sale of thousands of guns to Mexican drug cartels and dropped all surveillance on those weapons once they crossed the border.  Those guns will be used to kill people (including Americans) for many years to come.

In fact, there is so much corruption and so many “potential terrorists” in Washington D.C. that it should be more than enough to keep law enforcement officials busy for a very long time.

So leave preppers alone.

Preppers are not a threat.  They are not going to hurt anyone.  They just want to store up food and prepare for the difficult times that are coming.

So what do all of you think about preppers?  Please feel free to leave a comment with your opinion below….

  • DaytoDay

    Good article Michael.

Did you notice how ABC, CNN and USA all ran the same headline?

Oh, how the corporations took over…What ever happened to “Investigative Journalism”?

  • Kevin

Apparently they must have a lot of free time on their hands. You have to wonder how much of this is busy work? For the most part working people everywhere like things safe and easy and government work is certainly a political animal; choice A investigate preppers; choice B go after nasty boys in the city that might be dangerous. Seems like a no brainer.

It’s an utter waste of their time unless of course you wish to just collect a check.

  • NWO Alert

Food supplies would come under tight control. If population growth didn’t slow down, food shortages could be created in a hurry and people would realize the dangers of overpopulation.

Ultimately, whether the population slows down or not the food supply is to be brought under centralized control so that people would have enough to be well-nourished but they would not have enough to support any fugitive from the new system.

In other words, if you had a friend or relative who didn’t sign on, growing ones own food would be outlawed. And if you persist in illegal activities like growing your own food, then you’re a criminal.

You’d better check under your bed before you put the kids to sleep tonight. There could be a TERRORIST hiding there! Yes, someone even worse than a bogeyman, or that thing that goes bump in the night!

I think I found him! Yes! Right under the bed here. It’s the son of Osama bin Laden, grandson of Hitler, and he’s bent on destroying our American values! Quick, call the FBI! Alert Homeland Security! Get the kids in the SUV! We’ve got to hide out somewhere that’s safe!

Calmmmm downnnnn. Breatbe in… breathe out. Feel better now?

It’s not that bad. Not YET, anyway. But it’s rapidly heading in that direction.

  • Highspeedloafer

Preppers will be the salvation of many in the coming years.

I agree with some of the tweets above. Obama and the politicians are the real enemy.

  • Stanislaw

Where I grew up the Soviet Union had just collapsed, and a large number of Russian Jewish refugees were brought to the town I lived in. I became friends with many of the kids (as I was a kid at the time), and I had a chance to meet and become friendly with the families.

I remember the grandparents most vividly, since many of them survived WWII and the Nazi camps, and all of them survived the horrors of living under Soviet rule. Their stories were amazing, especially how they survived while living in a government that was callous, calculating, and sought to regulate every aspect of their lives and thought in their heads.

They always told me that they fled Russia for America so they could have a better life. However, they also always warned me that they saw the government passing laws and making choices, which the people supported, that Russia made which turned it into the USSR, and that if America continued along this path, they would become the land which they fled from.

They started telling me this back in 1994 (I was not yet 10 years old), and they continually reminded me of this for years.

Some of these old Russian people have passed away or are in their final years, but the words which they spoke could not have been truer. As Gerald Celente says, “Facism has come to America.”

My greatest concern is that in the USSR, the government did not have the means to regulate the people as exists today because of technological advances. Since human nature does not change, it is with great concern I sense that America could become worse than Russia, as the government today has the same evil intentions as did those who established the USSR, only now there are simpler and more efficient means for efficating the same result over more of the populace.

  • I agree with you in exposing the danger in government’s suspicion of anything and everything as “potential terrorist,” and the danger in government’s attempts to make our lives even more miserable in its trying to steal our food during a time of crisis. But then you get into this border stuff and anti-immigration stuff.

The real problem with the “illegal” immigration and border control is the illicit War on Drugs. Get rid of THAT, but leave immigrants alone, in my opinion.

And get the government out of our food supplies as well.

  • Mainuh1

Well of course we are! TPTB aren’t scared of sheeple!!!!

  • Ben Dover

Nothing new about a tryannical government using people to spy on each other. I just can’t imagine how anyone could believe this government is working for the American people.

We all know if they want you, even slightly suspect you of anything they don’t like, or just want to use you as an example, they will take you away or kill you.

American police are no different than the KGB or SS, they will justify any of their actions in their own mind. Most would happily follow any order given, and think anything done in the name of government is justified, as long as they are the ones meting out brutality (when on the receiving end, not so much). Just talk to a few and it’s obvious most are egotistic psycopaths and think you are below them.

Many will attack me for this, but I have roughly the same opinion of most firemen. They protect only their jobs and pensions. They will happily inform you that they have no obligation to do anything for you.

Will all Mormons be called a terrorist? We have been advised by our leaders to store at least a one year supply of food, clothing, medicine, fuel where permited, save up enough money for one years worth of bills and other supplies as needed to prepare for an emergency. This was all done so that we could take care of ourselves and others. Is not wanting to be dependent on the government in hard times a crime? Harry Reid is a Mormon, he should stand up and put a stop to this. I doubt that he will. I am not a terrorist and just want to be left alone and be able to help out neighbors in difficult times. We live many miles from a grocery store and if a man made, natural or economic disaster took place we could go hungry if we did not stock up. If you think out of the box when hard times do happen and food is in short supply, preppers will act responsibly as they will not be wild hungry animals willing to do anything for a scrap of food. If our government was smart, they would be pushing the storage of food so that fewer will be rioting when times get hard. The governments actions seem to point towards the publics use of food stamps and government dependence. What has happened to the pull myself up by my own bootstraps that brought so much wealth to this country. Are you going to be like a little bird in a cage waiting for a worm to be fed to you by the government. Wake up America, start growing a garden, canning your own food and while your at it grow a pair.

    • Gail

Mark, when you said Harry Reid was a Mormon, that freaked me out, because his actions do not follow the Mormon religion at all. He is one of the most evil globalist in Washington, DC. He may be Baptized a Mormon, but he does not following one thing they teach.

      • mark

Gail, there are people of every political position in the Church. You are free to make you own choices in life. That is the way it should be, as without choice we could not grow.

    • Gary2

But how many pairs of the magic underwear do you have stocked up?

seriously though what are the whole magic underwear thing anyway? Who cares what if any type of underwear one wears?

      • Guido

That’s a pretty bigoted comment, Gary. What right do you have to mock him for his faith?

Seems like you’re the one who cares about the man’s underwear, which is pretty strange if you ask me. Are you a jock sniffer, or what?

I think it’s the height of responsibility and duty to prepare your family for hard times with a year’s worth of supplies and whatnot just in case something happens. That’s a heck of a lot better than having to go stand in a bread line because you can not or did not provide for your loved ones. Only a fool would criticize someone for that-it’s the cricket and the ant story.

    • Guido

Actually, I think they do consider not relying on them to be a crime, since it makes you harder to control. Communists and control freaks hate people who are individuals. What could be more individual than providing for your own needs? It must look threatening when someone refuses or doesn’t need to get in the bread line with everyone else. That person is an individual and apt to have time for thinking for themselves and we all know control freaks hate it when you think for yourself.

  • mondobeyondo

The whole thing sounds like a twisted Jeff Foxworthy comedy skit.

If you have a 6 month supply of canned goods and toilet paper… you might be a terrorist.

If you listen to shortwave radio at 3am… you might be a terrorist.

If you support Ron Paul… you might be a terrorist.

If you cook apple pie and baked beans on the 4th of July… you might be a terrorist.

You most definitely are not a redneck, at least in the eyes of the FBI, CIA, TSA, Homeland Security, etc. etc.

    • native american

      Enemy Of The State.
Who is going to montor the montors? You said it right…

  • We’re seeing a lot of this “fuzzy threat” behavior from the government lately, in which it’s impossible to find out what the rules are for not getting in trouble.

It’s a dynamic that’s very common in dysfunctional families too — in fact, I was just on a forum in which we were discussing this pattern in dysfunctional families and someone explicitly compared it to how the government’s been behaving.

They’re also getting into the gaslighting game, trying to convince us that things aren’t as we remembered, that our experienced reality is Wrong, and thus we must be crazy.

  • William

Well, when you voted for GW Bush, and supported the illegal and unnecessary war in Iraq, and voted for the SAME IDIOT representing you in the US Congress time after time, just WHAT did you expect??? The IDIOTS in the US Congress KNOW what is coming. And, they will sacrifice your freedoms and rights in a blink to maintain themselves in power. Just look at the current Defense funding legislation. Look at the extension of the Patriot ACT. Look at the NeoCons howling for another unnecessary war for Israel…..this time against Iran, which poses NO threat to the US. You get what you vote for, Americans.

    • Kevin

Who do you suggest we vote for as an alternative?

    • knightowl77

Wasn’t Obama that requested the extension of the Patriot Act? Isn’t Obama that has decided that he kill Americans in foreign countries without a trial?…I’m not sure your guy is any better…

    • native american

You are right.People Wake Up.What happen to the people (We The People)?Open your eyes and ears.

  • James

Can we get on with the treason trials already? They’ll take decades to get through, so I really think we should start now.

  • knightowl77

We now ARE the enemy of what those in power intend to do with this country. Anyone who is self-reliant or not reliant on the Gov’t IS a Threat to them. Very Shortly our picts will be on the Post Office walls…. They can’t come for us all, but they can get quite a few.

Prep quietly, pay in cash (before that is outlawed), and stash some of your cache, because they will come for it….

  • Tom Moore

The only terrorism going on in this country, that I’m aware of resides in that big White House.

  • judy

Country’s done folks…these are evil people (luciferians) in charge….they’re going to take our lives next. We can just sit by and discuss it.!!

Sit by and discuss it? Rather than sitting idly by and watching heads being chopped off, how about joining the empire? Serve well and Emperor Obama will have a place for you as one of his minions. Serve badly, well, just ask Osama Bin dead for ten years prior to Obama killing him for the tenth time………

Dude, what are you thinking here? Don’t you know that abortion and gay marriage are far more damaging to amerika than some conspiracy theory winguts and their grocery lists?(LOL)

  • frenzy

I feel that things are heading to a Climax, which just might start next spring. This country needs an Enema, and the People are the ones that have to administer it, sorry to say but voting is not going to solve it. We the People have to execute all of our rights afforded and guarenteed under the constitution. We have to show our power, by Peacably assembling together and Speeking our mind with out Police interference, and we must bring our Arms to Bear at these gatherings to guarentee those Rights and to show that we mean business, that we are not going to take it anymore and that the People in the Government are going to have to make a uphold the Constitution or die in office while we stand up for it. We need an American Tet, where we all assemble on the same day in all the major cities in each state, and we come armed. Its funny how our gov’t praised the Libyan People for fighting back against their Gov’t and even backed them, and how about the Egyptians..but we have more numbers and guns, and the right to carry those rifles out in the lets go, lets throw the first stone and get this New Revolution started. I pity the bastards that come for my family, food, guns or anything else that is mine..I may get killed but they will be too. and I’m just one of the many millions who feel the same way..and I don’t care if they monitor this message..I am Prepared.

  • Selvinski Mckay

If this is true…I find it Offensive, people that Are smarter than others are terrorist? ******* how terrible..getting ready For the ******** thats About to hit the fan Is terrorist Activity…America’s Freedom Is going down the Drain ladies and gentlemen..I say the taliban and “Al queda” is totally Beating us Psychologically. The reason they hated us was for our freedom and Liberty..Now that the Patriot Act and new National Defenses Act..This Proves that they Are Winning. Wake Up America! figure out Who Is The real’s The people Spirits Of 1775 v.S The Corrupted Mind set of government that is Like the book 1984.

Someone said that if a lie is told long enough it will eventually be viewed as truth. Hmmmm… so if “they” keep saying that those who are prepared for some future disaster are terrorists, then eventually that may become true? Hmmmmm…do “they” really think they have enough police and military personnel to contain the millions of folks in the US who are not gonna stand for this tyranny? Many of those folks are former military personnel and have the same training, plus the experience. I see ugly coming afar off. :-(

  • Rob

Government in the United States has become a gigantic monster. It’s only real task at the moment is to perpetuate itself. People who are independent are a threat to this monster. If you have your own food, water, power and firearms, you are more difficult to control. Ipso facto, you are the enemy. But America gets what it deserves. The vast majority of Americans are addicted to pleasure. Huge numbers of them are obese. They consume vast quantities of pornography. They don’t save for the future. Love of money, love of pleasure and love of self leads in the end to slavery.

  • josh

its doubtful i will be doing any more posting. i will still be reading.. from my local library, but i no longer view it safe to speak my mind on the internet.
    take care Michael.

    • Mr Carpenter

Josh, you haven’t been safe to speak your mind on the internet for years.

Don’t leave. Stay, speak your piece. Be a man, my man.

If you are a Christian, you know that “they” can take your life away, your goods, family, wife, everything. But they cannot take your soul, and if you belong to Christ, they cannot change that.

Stand firm, my man. You’re also an American. A REAL American.

Some 90 years ago, Daean Alfange wrote “MY CREED”

“I do not choose to be a common man. It is my right to be uncommon. I seek opportunity to develop whatever talents God gave me — not secruty. I do not wish to be a kept citizen, humbled and dulled by having the state look after me. I want to take the calculated risk; to dream and to build, to fail and to succeed. I refuse to barter incentive for a dole. I prefer the challenges of life to the guaranteed existence; the thrill of fulfillment to the stale calm of utopia. I will not trade freedome for beneficience nor my dignity for a handout. I will never cower before any earthly master nor bend to any threat. It is my heritage to stand erect, proud and unafraid; to think and act myself, enjoy the benefit of my creations and to face the world boldly and say – ‘This, with God’s help, I have done.’ All this is what it means to be an American.”

Stored food only keeps so long. It does have a shelf life. You will have to keep replacing it every other year or so. Freeze dried may be the exception to the rule. It’s obvious the powers that be want to catch everyone off guard, totally unprepared. Because the vast majority of people in this country feel our leaders either out of touch/and or not telling the truth, it compels one to “prepare” for the inevitable fall out of such ignorance and deceit. Of course, the rich and powerful have comfortable, well-stocked underground bunkers to escape to. They are hoping the rest of us are “unprepared” and having nothing to sustain us and will just wither on the vine and turn to dust.

    • Guido

Actually, if you read up on it, you can learn a variety of ways to make food last. It’s very simple and people have been doing it for thousands of years.

  • It’s a hoax!

If you have been concerned (as I have) about the report that a LDS cannery in Tennessee had been visited by the Feds looking for customer lists, please watch this video report.

Mormon canneries in TN phone numbers
    TN Hendersonville, TN (Nashville) (615)822-5584
TN Knoxville, TN (423)694-4973 or (423)988-6875

Even though a hoax, it would NOT have surprized me if it was true.

Can’t flush out the Congressional sludge, can’t win wars of aggression ( just remembered they were never intended to win just bankrupt the economy), so terrorize the US citizens with this hyper paranoia propaganda ! Sure there will always exist some probability that some no goods are stashing food da da da da. But no one says anything about the 10’s of thousands that die under Dr/Hospital care annually in the US alone. Can any one say, ‘guinea pig’ The Gov’t is completely the tool of satanic methodology. If a psychiatrist were to analyze it , the prognosis would be psychopathy.

  • Gary2

“Right-wing Extremism”—All right wingers are extreme and many are the new American Taliban. Their ideas are a threat to living people everywhere.

    • Guido

Yeah, they’re wayy more threatening than you and what you’ve said on this forum. There’s nothing more dangerous than a guy buying food for a future emergency compared to Communists talking about killing wealthy people and sending armed people to attack and rob from wealthy homes.

  • Ben Dover

Unrelated post here, but to me the drone thing in Iran is an obvious hack job. USA says it malfunctioned, but it apparently landed intact. Fox is saying Iran may give it to Russia or China. They may be able to reverse engineer the technology, and are probably much more capable than Iran.

I seriously doubt that it will be given to anyone. Maybe bartered for some advanced SAMs or some other goodies.

  • ScoutMotto

The new definition of terrorist: anyone who wants to be left alone by the government and be self-sufficient. Mountain House has some good long-term offerings, as does Grandma’s Country Foods.

I always thought of terrorists as those guys who blow stuff up, including themselves. I don’t even do fireworks anymore. Haven’t for years.

Please be careful who you share info with in regards to your food stash. There is no doubt someone waiting in the wings to rat out every one of us to the government just for using our heads. It’s time to blend in with the crowd.

  • Guido

This is an important Homeland Defense ad produced by your friends at Robot Chicken.

Terrorism, to paraphrase Ford, is more or less bunk. Sure, it happens, but our security already prevented most of it BEFORE 9/11. Good police work busted terrorists before 9/11. Read up about the alert Customs guy who stopped the 19th 9/11 hijacker because he was obviously suspicious. They didn’t need anything fancy for that-it just required attention to detail and an ability to conduct a simple interview and read OBVIOUS tells.

I left America in 1995 and moved to Russia in 1999 and have lived here since.
Everything that I read about my old beloved country is very disheartening and very saddening too.

But the worst thing is what my Russian friends are saying. I’m 64 and many of my friends here are over 40 and remember Soviet times. And all agree that America is now becoming a very Stalinist regime. Everything points to this end.

I am sorry for my countrymen and wish that they, too, could leave as I did.

    • Guido

I think about leaving, too, Zeke, but one thing scares me. I think Reagan was right when he said there was nowhere else to retreat to; this is the last stand on Earth. While I could gladly move to Eastern Europe, Central America, the Caribbean, or even South East Asia-I don’t think these places are particularly reliable defenders of my freedoms. Eventually, the contagion will have to spread to even the nicest, safest places because utopians, communists, globalists, statists, and other control freaks can’t accept even one beacon of liberty or competing idea that might offer an alternative to their perfect system.

They want to inventory foodstuffs so that they’ll know where to raid in order to feed their troops that are being put on the streets today.

I have no doubt that the Federal Government or one of it’s branches is planning for just such an eventuality, even if it is under the guise of FEMA.

Anybody that answers questions from a Fed that comes to the door is a fool. Without a valid warrant signed by a real judge, they cannot set foot on your property, much less question you without probable cause.

This is an inventory exercise for them, nothing less.

This is one of the reasons that my front door is steel that opens outwards (can’t be broken in by a SWAT battering ram). There is also a loaded FN-P90 clipped to my wall near the door and a barrel of SS190(AP) ammunition that will go through kevlar like polyester.

Muslims heck! The real enemies come wearing uniforms or suits.

Does this mean that Mormon’s are in trouble?

  • A.S.

To Quote:”A fellow veteran contacted me concerning a new and disturbing development. I contacted the manager and personally confirmed this information.”

If I were that store owner, I would say, “I don’t care that you are an agent of the Federal government…right now you are acting as a would-be-assaulter. Either produce a subpoena asking for such information or GET THE HELL OF OFF MY PROPERTY! If you don’t I will have no choice but to shoot you. I am asking you nicely, please leave. You have three seconds: 1, 2, …”

Woe to those who put darkness for light and light for darkness. The social engineering that’s been going on for a years is about convincing the public what is right is wrong, and what is wrong is right. The D-generation has been lapping it up. The red carpet is being rolled out for plain ol’ evil folks.

Being a prepper means one has very little or no faith in the government being able to do anything helpful during a national emergency. (Oh, such heresy!) A prepper is also someone who would not have to choose between reporting to a FEMA camp or starving. In fact, a prepper would be able to live independently of the gummint, and such independence can not be tolerated. Lastly, preppers would be in a position to assist others seeking to escape the government’s grasp during martial law, and we can’t have that, now can we?

  • Nam Marine

The only saving grace. 90 Million gun owners.
And we are getting VERY angry!

  • Danno

If you want people to take you seriously, you have to report facts and not misinformation. Otherwise, you are a tool of the powers that be.

  • Guido

I’m tempted to think the powers that be consider preppers to be possible enemies because they’re threatened by people who are prepared for emergencies. People who prepare for emergencies are probably a little harder to scare when a seeming crisis presents itself. A loyal Mormon, for example, with a basement full of provisions is a bigger danger to the system than a two-bit crook who steals car stereos at night. The crook isn’t desirable, but the Mormon represents a useful member of society who won’t be reliable when the time comes. Even in a crisis, a crook can be expected to be reliable. Sure, he steals, but he’ll get in line with everyone else. The Mormon probably won’t.
    -on a different note-
I’m not a Mormon, but I’ve known and worked with a lot of them and they’re some of the nicest, most decent folks I ever met. I don’t know why people like to dump on them so much, because they’re the least offensive folks I’ve ever met. I don’t necessarily agree with all the tenets of their faith, but I can’t think of a single one who ever offended me or tried to force their beliefs on me.

The key in the article is, “…just want to be left alone.” Our nanny-state/police-state can not do that. We must be numbered (REAL ID). We must be controlled (PATRIOT ACT). We must be told how to live and how to die (ObamaCare). There can be no more, “…just left alone.” There can be no more, “Land of the Free” because there is no more, “Home of the Brave.”

      Home Of The Brave.

Do not leave Micheal. This country has been free ,since when?WWII
Americans first and worst enemy is the USA White House.

  • The fact that the Government, or should I say the regime, is taking such an interest in what us preppers are doing is all I need to know right there. I believe that in order for Obama to fully orchestrate his plan he will need people to be unprepared and desperate for government help. Those of us who don’t need the government are useless to him and need to be exterminated. When you say that we are some of the most patriotic Americans you will find, well you are right. We not only follow the law, we know the law and our rights, which in turn makes us a threat.

This is my first visit to your site and I will surely be back. An exchange of information on these subjects is key! If doing what I can to prepare me and my family for whatever life throws at us makes me a terrorist in the governments eyes, than I would have to believe that this countries leaders are terrorists to America!

Thank you so much for getting this information out there.

  • Ingrid

They lied to you in the 1700’s, 1800’s and lied to harm you and gain power and your land. Most incoming Europeans ignored that deception and treachery by their government. Now, they are the ones who are destroyed thru lies by the same kinds of people, in their government. I guess that is how it goes when evil is tolerated.

  • Flippo

So how soon do you guys the collapse will come?

  • I love preppers, with potatoes and gravy

Here’s some important points that all preppers should be concerned about.

My prepper list is short and simple.

    1. Multiple CO2 fire extinguishers.
    2. Oxy acetylene cutting torch.
    3. Gas mask retrofitted with SCUB tanks.

The CO2 fire extinguishers are pumped into the air intakes of any underground survival shelters I find. The filtration systems in these shelters only remove particle agents from the intake air. CO2 will flow through because it is a gas, just like air. It is also odorless and tasteless, so it will go undetected by the survival nut hiding in the shelter.
After the survival nut starts playing the harp on the nearest cloud, the cutting torch opens the escape hatch that the survival nut used to enter the shelter.
The gas mask and SCUB tanks let me raid the supplies in the survival shelter at my leisure.

The above ground preppers are a bit more challenging.
Harass and hide techniques will keep them up day and night until they are too burnt out to think straight. Then torch the house in cover of darkness.
Shoot the preppers as they flee the burning house and then grab what you can before the fire gets to big. Or eat the preppers.

Day time techniques like the run away car trick is effective.
Attach a cord to the release lever on the drivers seat and run that through a hole in the door. Place a stick between the gas pedal and the seat. Start the car and put it in gear. Pull the cord and let the seat push the gas pedal to the floor. The car will become an effective battering ram that will go through most wooden walls.
I would love to see the look on the preppers face when they look outside to see what the sound is and there’s a car coming toward them at 100 mph.

It is not a matter of the survival of the fittest. It is the survival of the least squeamish and most ruthless. Just think about it. There will be a whole bunch of guys like me running around out there, with nothing to lose.

I think that citing the article ‘Are Evangelicals a National Security Threat’ was a tad disingenuous. The article was simply highlighting a perceived double standard in how we treat Muslim Americans versus how Evangelicals are treated. The other citations seem pretty good, though. Don’t worry too much about our government. If our God is for us, what can man do to us?

  • I am so fed up with our (USA) government’s ongoing attempt, some successful, to get their toe in the door to our homes and minds that I could literately throw up. Yes homeland security is now a tool that is used against its own citizens. So called homeland security is only one of our governments corrupt tools that were helpful when first created but are now a dangerous threat to its own people. The government agencies and government authorities i.e. minions that promise a little safety only if we give up a little essential liberty should be kicked to the curb and unceremoniously tarred and feathered!

  • The Wolf Who Protects the Innocent

just like prohibition creates the very crimes it’s said to inhibit. the government just keeps infringing on individual liberty, and giving us outraged citizens just cause to use terrorist and guerilla tactics

  • Mac

I believe that preppers have the right idea. I know Im not going to stop prepping.

  • Wyatt

Who cares if the feds come looking honestly, They want to see my guns, ammo, body armor, gas masks, radiation suits, ect thats fine with me I have never threatened another individual I have the right to think and speak what I want as long as I do not enduce physical harm on another. So who cares we can own this stuff why not own it if you can buy it. I am sure if you own a fire arm you are on a list anyways. If you are crazy for being armed and prepared then every law enforcement officer must be nuts. I mean the pot calling the kettle black they carry guns everywhere you know if it was not necesssary then why do they do it. Use their own words against them to prove your point.

  • That IS a funny poll. 1049 Adults: Dems 51%; Repubs 39%; Ind 10%.

  • Don

Before long, they will probably be saying that anyone who passes gas is a threat to “Homeland Security” I miss 1975!

  • Don

When ever you have negative contact with anyone working with the government, take their name and call your senators and representatives. Tell them what happened and demand that something be done to prevent it from happening again.

When Homeland Security comes out with a new list of threats to homeland security that involves good common people, call your senators and Representatives and complain.

We need to keep our members of Congress on SPEED DIAL until this CRAP ends. We can put a stop to this is we keep pestering our Congress about this stuff and remind them that they were voted in and they can be voted out.

If you care about what kind of country your kids will live in, you better start doing something that will change things back like they were before 9/11/01.

  • BJ Cooper

You now see what taken GOD out of America has done to this country. We need to put GOD back in this country, and I promise you we will see a change in this country. GOD BLESS THE USA!!!
