People Are Making Such Ridiculous Claims About What Is Going To Happen On September 23, 2017 And None Of Them Are True

All sorts of sensationalist claims are being made about what is going to happen on September 23rd, and all of them are false. In recent days, I have spent time looking into these various claims, and I have been deeply disturbed by what I have discovered. Yes, it does appear that there will be a unique celestial alignment on September 23rd, and it does appear that it at least bears a resemblance to what is described in the first couple of verses in Revelation 12. And yes, this alignment will happen at about the time of Rosh Hashanah (the Feast of Trumpets). But people have gone way beyond those basic facts and have come up with ridiculous theories that are going to make them look like nutjobs when September 23rd comes and goes and their predictions don’t come to pass.

For example, let’s take a look at what “Christian numerologist” David Meade is saying. The following comes from Fox News

A Christian numerologist claims that the world will end next Saturday when a planet will, supposedly, collide with Earth.

According to Christian numerologist David Meade, verses in Luke 21:25 to 26 are the sign that recent events, such as the recent solar eclipse and Hurricane Harvey, are signs of the apocalypse.

And it turns out that Meade has written an entire book about this. The following comes from the book’s description

This book is a compendium of information from every sphere—astronomical, scientific, the Book of Revelation and geopolitics. It contains absolutely amazing revelations that direct us to one precise point in time in 2017. Planet X is a cryptogram and this book contains the keys necessary to decode it. When everything is considered together, it fits together perfectly like a watch. The existence of Planet X is beyond any reasonable doubt, to a moral certainty. We examine proofs of its existence. In fact, if you want to ask one simple question that posits the theory of the reality of Planet X, just ask yourself where did 2.2 Trillion disappear to in the Pentagon’s budget that Rumsfeld said was missing, and why do we have over 100 Underground Deep Bunkers throughout the U.S.? Why are critical government infrastructures moving from their susceptible positions on the East Coast to the protected areas of Colorado?

September 23rd is going to come, and we are going to see that Meade was dead wrong.

If Planet X was close enough to be here by September 23rd, we would be able to see it by now. The fact that it isn’t visible to anyone means that his theory has already been disproved.

Others are predicting that the rapture is going to take place on September 23rd. The following is an excerpt from an article in a British news source

Scores of YouTube doom videos and evangelical websites point to an astrological constellation on September 23 matching Revelation 12:1–2, which will signal the start of the Rapture and second coming of Christ:

The passage 12:1–2 reads: “And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of 12 stars. She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth.”

Sorry, but this isn’t going to happen either. If you have read my book entitled “The Rapture Verdict”, then you already know that the Bible says that certain events must happen before the rapture takes place, and those events have not happened yet.

So September 23rd is going to arrive, and those waiting for the rapture are going to be greatly let down.

And because of these failed predictions, it will just cause more people to mock the Biblical promise of the second coming of Jesus Christ. I really like how investigative journalist Kara Pickering made this point in one of her recent articles…

When we are not whisked away on Sept. 23, 2017; it will effectively cause “men’s hearts to grow” further “cold.” It will give an open platform to the scoffer’s that say, “Where is the promise of His coming?” (see: Matthew 24:12, 2 Peter 3:4)

There are others out there that are suggesting that even though the rapture might not take place on September 23rd, it may still mark the beginning of the Great Tribulation.

This is not going to happen either, and for an extended explanation of why that is not possible I would once again recommend reading “The Rapture Verdict”.

But could it be possible that the alignment on September 23rd does have some sort of spiritual meaning?

Of course.

If you look closely at the first few verses of Revelation 12, it is exceedingly clear that the subject of that chapter is the nation of Israel. Pastor Mark Biltz is trying to explain this to anyone that will listen, and I greatly appreciate his fine work. The following comes from WND

Revelation 12: 1-2 reads: “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.”

Biltz believes the upcoming sign on Sept. 23 is precisely what this passage is referring to.

“The woman clothed with the sun is the constellation Virgo and represents the nation of Israel,” he explained. “The 12 stars represent the 12 tribes of Israel. Interestingly, the constellation Leo, the lion, which is above Virgo, is made up of nine stars. The lion represents specifically the tribe of Judah. It just so happens this year during the Days of Awe, three planets will join the constellation Leo making up 12 stars. Virgo will be clothed with the sun, and the moon will be under her feet, fulfilling this sign to precise detail.”

So what will happen on September 23rd?

I don’t know. Perhaps something will happen, or perhaps nothing will happen at all.

But Jesus did warn us that there would be signs in the sun, moon and stars just prior to His return, and so I think that it is okay to wonder about this very unusual celestial alignment.

However, the wild theories that some people have been throwing around are not helpful, and they will only serve to bring discredit on Bible-believing Christians when they don’t come to pass.

  • LOL, this site’s author frequently makes “auspicious” predictions which also never came close to being true, so what’s the big deal?

Exactly. And now he want to run for political office..

  • TheRunningMan

On the 23rd, I’m pretty certain that I’m going to wake up, have a cup of coffee and take a dump…

The truth is- nothing will happen. Take your pills and go back to bed.

  • I don’t expect to see anything on Sept. 23rd, but …

“Rev. 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

I’ve been wondering about Rev 12:9.

    • It’s pretty simple Matt. Revelation is a book of visions and imagery, not to be taken literal, though they do discuss literal things. Think of if, it’s about the virgin Mary giving birth to Christ. That is so clear, one can’t miss it, then it recounts the ascention into heaven of the lord with the devil being frustrated. Scripture interprets Scripture, not the daily news and not what purports to be science interprets Scripture.

    • redroksaz

      Matt, you are right on.
Does anyone not read the words “great sign”? And what is a “sign”?….it is a warning of something ahead. God’s signs are warnings that an appointed time has arrived. And as you have pointed out,
      The Appointed Time is:
“And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. And the dragon and his angels waged war, and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven.” (Revelation 12:7-8)

There is a verse that speaks plainly in regards to what this is really all about. What the great sign is specifically warning us of. This verse even begins with the words, “For this reason…Woe to the earth and sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing he has only a short time” (appointed time) (Revelation 12:12)

After this great sign, just to make sure we don’t discount this truth, the planet Mercury will engage Saturn in late November. Mercury(Michael) will engage Saturn(Satan) in the heavens till just before Hanukkah, where it backs off and then re-engages Saturn on December 25th (2017). In January, Mercury “wins” this battle as Saturn then “lands” on the head of Sagittarius. Sagittarius is half beast and half man. Notice that we have the dragon being cast to earth and landing on the head of the beast (Sagittarius) ….”Woe to the earth and to the sea.”

And what do we read in the very first verse of the next chapter?…the dragon is standing on the seashore and the beast is coming out of the sea! (Woe to the sea!) (Revelation 13:1)

The dragon (drakon) “all seeing” is coming. We really do need to pay attention. It is a matter of life or death very soon.

      • Thanks for that confirmation. It sounds like things are going to get a worse in the not too distant future. Your reference to life or death sound about right to me.

    • Well, Robert Mueller is supposed to make an announcement regarding his investigations on the 23rd, so maybe Revelation foresaw some White House action.

Heaven knows that enough of Satan’s angels have had to resign from their White House posts already.

  • Michael, there are no events that “have to take place” before the rapture because that tranportation takes place the day Christ returns. That is the end. Seriously, that is more Dispensational nonsense that the Church has no known until the 19th century due to a wigged out little girl in Wales. It’s not biblical.

He doesn’t believe in a Pre-Trib Rapture. He wrote an entire book about it entitled “The Rapture Verdict.”

    • Paul Patriot

      Very well stated.

The Book of Revelation is written in sequence. 7 seals, 7 trumptes, and 7 bowls. Revelation 12 has not happened yet and won’t for a few years. We are only at the 3rd seal. Chill out and get right with God instead. More at http://www.itshisstory.com

“But Jesus did warn us that there would be signs in the SUN, MOON and STARS just prior to His return, and so I think that it is okay to wonder about this very unusual celestial alignment.”
Yes He did in Matthew 24:29-31 – ““Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days:

    The SUN will be darkened,
    and the MOON will not shed its light;
the STARS will fall from the sky,
and the celestial powers will be shaken.
Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the peoples of the earth will mourn; and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet, and they will gather [RAPTURE] His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.”
    AMEN

But all these sensationalists and false prophets make for good profit$

I like to think of it as a unique event, bringing not-known-before spiritual graces to all who love Jesus. This “event” had its first era in Creation (it came to pass when God through the Word spoke His Fiat). This “event” had its second era in Redemption (The holy lives of Jesus and Mary). St. John who wrote the Apocalypse then wrote those exact words, but it is for us to see it as the third “event” of sanctification (the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on mankind). It will be painful for us on earth according to the subsequent prophetic lines. I really think earth’s events are going to get worse before they get better. Until the kingdom of the beast is “plunged” into darkness – that might mean all this space equipment, computers, internets, motors, sonars, and microwaves, and cell phone just might get fried somewhere along the line. Go slow, stay simple, and pray a lot!
