Occupy Wall Street: Mass Economic Riots Are Now Here And America Will Never Be The Same

Is Occupy Wall Street going to represent a major turning point in U.S. history?  Over the past several years, many people have been warning that we would see mass economic riots in the United States if the economy continued to get worse.  Well, the economic riots are now here and America will never be the same.  The Occupy Wall Street protests are starting their third week and now similar protests have sprung up in major cities all over the United States.  An increasing number of Americans have totally lost faith in the system and are looking for an outlet for their frustrations.  Occupy Wall Street is a spark that has started a fire, but most Americans do not understand where all of this is going.  In the years ahead, millions more Americans will lose their jobs, millions more Americans will lose their homes to foreclosure and millions more Americans will find themselves drowning in debt.  As the economy continues to decline, millions upon millions of Americans will become even more frustrated.  In particular, young Americans are really starting to become angry about the economy and our deeply corrupt financial system.  Eventually we are going to see an explosion of anger and frustration on the streets of America that is going to be absolutely unprecedented.  Occupy Wall Street is just the beginning.  If most Americans could see what is coming next, it would chill them to their cores.

Growing up, most of us were taught that if we wanted to change things in America, we could do it at the ballot box.  Well, today large numbers of Americans are realizing that both major political parties have been bought and paid for.  They are realizing that things never seem to change no matter who we vote into office.  They are realizing that signing petitions or sending letters to our “representatives” does not accomplish anything.

As the frustration of average Americans has grown, it has given rise to new political movements.

So far, the Tea Party movement has been the most prominent, and it has been dominated mostly by Republicans.

Now, Occupy Wall Street is becoming a national movement, and it is being dominated mostly by radical leftists and socialists.

Both movements have attempted to appeal to the growing core of libertarians in this country, and to a certain extent both movements have had some success.

But what all of this represents is a fundamental shift in the way that Americans view political change.

Americans no longer trust that politicians will listen to them.  All of the recent polls show that satisfaction with the government is at an all-time low.  People are deeply frustrated and large numbers of them simply do not believe that the traditional ways of bringing about change work anymore.

America is broken, and it is getting really hard to deny it.

In America today, it takes massive amounts of money to get elected, and most of our politicians end up deeply aligned with those that have huge amounts of money to donate to political campaigns.

Most Americans today feel like they have no voice.  Many also feel like they do not have a legitimate choice at the ballot box.

So what happens when millions of Americans are deeply, deeply angry about the economy and the direction this country is headed, but they also believe that the political system is so broken that voting won’t do any good?

Well, we are starting to see what happens.

Today, people are marching non-violently in the streets.

Tomorrow, unfortunately, things are likely to get much crazier.  Violence is not the solution to any of our problems, but sadly that is the direction we are headed as a nation.  Those that are angry and frustrated tend to lash out in wild and unpredictable ways.  We saw that during the London riots recently.

It would be great if a couple of “quick fixes” could be implemented and all of our economic problems would go away.  But the reality of the situation is that the problems that we are facing are far more complicated than that.  The truth is that the United States is in the midst of a long-term economic decline which is getting progressively worse, and this country has become deeply, deeply divided.

There is not much hope on the horizon and time is rapidly running out for our economy.

So will the Occupy Wall Street protests bring about change?

Well, there are a couple of things that are very unusual about the Occupy Wall Street protests.

One of the unique things about the Occupy Wall Street protests is that they are focused on money and economics.  In the past, most mass protests in America have been about war or civil rights, but the Occupy Wall Street movement is very much focused on the economic pain that ordinary Americans are feeling.

It is also very unusual for liberals to be conducting mass protests while a liberal is sitting in the White House.

So if this is what is happening now, what is going to happen once a Republican gets elected?

That is a very sobering thing to think about.

At first, a lot of people thought that the Occupy Wall Street protests would quickly fade away.

But they haven’t.

Instead, they have grown and they have spread to more cities.

For example, the other day 3,000 people protested in front of Bank of America’s offices in downtown Boston.

Similar protests are now being held in San Francisco, in Chicago, in Los Angeles, in Seattle, and in Denver.

But of course New York is still the epicenter of the movement, and what happened on the Brooklyn Bridge the other day made headlines all over the globe.

Police arrested more than 700 people under very suspicious circumstances.  The arrests on the Brooklyn Bridge appear to have been a staged event by the police.  If you doubt this, just read this eyewitness account.

As you can see from this video, the police led the protesters on to the bridge and then stopped and formed a line in the middle of the bridge.  When protesters attempted to turn around and leave in the other direction, they found that there were police behind them.  Surrounded and with no way out, most of the protesters just waited to be cuffed and hauled off by police.

So was it the goal of the police to make the protesters look bad by making it look like they were blockading the Brooklyn Bridge?

Did someone that wanted to provide fuel for these protests organize this “media event” so that large numbers of Americans would sympathize with the protesters and would want to rally to their cause?

Something about that whole Brooklyn Bridge episode just feels really “staged”.

In any event, it appears likely that the Occupy Wall Street movement is not going anywhere any time soon.

So exactly what do they want?

Well, the following list of complaints was taken from the “official” organizing website of Occupy Wall Street….

They have taken our houses through an illegal foreclosure process, despite not having the original mortgage.

They have taken bailouts from taxpayers with impunity, and continue to give Executives exorbitant bonuses.

They have perpetuated inequality and discrimination in the workplace based on age, the color of one’s skin, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation.

They have poisoned the food supply through negligence, and undermined the farming system through monopolization.

They have profited off of the torture, confinement, and cruel treatment of countless animals, and actively hide these practices.

They have continuously sought to strip employees of the right to negotiate for better pay and safer working conditions.

They have held students hostage with tens of thousands of dollars of debt on education, which is itself a human right.

They have consistently outsourced labor and used that outsourcing as leverage to cut workers’ healthcare and pay.

They have influenced the courts to achieve the same rights as people, with none of the culpability or responsibility.

They have spent millions of dollars on legal teams that look for ways to get them out of contracts in regards to health insurance.

They have sold our privacy as a commodity.

They have used the military and police force to prevent freedom of the press. They have deliberately declined to recall faulty products endangering lives in pursuit of profit.

They determine economic policy, despite the catastrophic failures their policies have produced and continue to produce.

They have donated large sums of money to politicians, who are responsible for regulating them.

They continue to block alternate forms of energy to keep us dependent on oil.

They continue to block generic forms of medicine that could save people’s lives or provide relief in order to protect investments that have already turned a substantial profit.

They have purposely covered up oil spills, accidents, faulty bookkeeping, and inactive ingredients in pursuit of profit.
They purposefully keep people misinformed and fearful through their control of the media.

They have accepted private contracts to murder prisoners even when presented with serious doubts about their guilt.

They have perpetuated colonialism at home and abroad. They have participated in the torture and murder of innocent civilians overseas.

They continue to create weapons of mass destruction in order to receive government contracts.

You will notice that a lot of populist and libertarian themes have been mixed in with a lot of the causes that radical leftists and socialists typically support.

So exactly who is behind Occupy Wall Street?

Well, the truth is that some very familiar names are associated with this “grassroots” movement.

A recent article posted on WorldNetDaily fingered ACORN founder Wade Rathke and SEIU board member Stephen Lerner as two of the leaders of the Occupy Wall Street movement….

In March, ACORN founder Wade Rathke announced what he called “days of rage in ten cities around JP Morgan Chase.” Rathke was president of an SEIU local in New Orleans.

The planned Sept. 17 protest seems to be the culmination of Rathke’s efforts.

Those efforts are being organized by Stephen Lerner, an SEIU board member who reportedly visited the Obama White House at least four times.

Lerner is considered one of the most capable organizers of the radical left.

The sad truth is that the Occupy Wall Street movement is not something new.  The vast majority of the protesters seem to be Obama supporters, and there is little evidence that many of the protesters have broken out of the false left/right political paradigm that dominates our political system.

Most of the participants in the Occupy Wall Street movement openly talk about how much they admire Barack Obama, and yet 3 of the top 7 donors to Obama’s campaign in 2008 were the very Wall Street banks that the Occupy Wall Street movement is protesting.

Obama’s administration is littered with people that used to work for big Wall Street banks, and Obama has been really good to Wall Street.

So if the Occupy Wall Street movement was really serious about change, they would be openly protesting Obama.

But you don’t see too many anti-Obama signs out there, now do you?

It would be really nice if the Occupy Wall Street movement was truly a non-political movement that was focused on bringing economic justice back to this country.

The reality, however, is that it was started by far left political groups, and a lot more very liberal organizations are now jumping on board.

Hundreds of thousands of very frustrated Americans are going to get involved in these protests without even realizing who is organizing them.

According to a recent article by blogger Alexander Higgins, quite a few very prominent unions are now throwing their support behind Occupy Wall Street….

As I previously reported unions are coming out in full force to support the Occupy Wall Street protests. We received news that the 200,000 member strong Transportation Workers Union would be joining the protests. The Teamster’s union endorsed the protests. Rumors of Verizon workers joining the protests. A scathing endorsement was issued by the Industrial Workers Union has also endorsed the Occupy Wall Street protests. Then news that several more unions had committed to or were contemplating joining the protests, while two the unions scheduled solidarity marches.

Now TPM reports even more unions are joining up to protest against Wall Street and the movement is set to grow rapidly.

The article also comes along with the news that a collective of 8 groups, with over 1 million members will be joining the Occupy Wall Street movement to show solidarity and march against the machine.

Reportedly, October 5th is being targeted as a day for mass protests to be held all around the country.

If the Occupy Wall Street movement and the Tea Party movement joined together to protest the abuses of the Federal Reserve and the abuses of Wall Street they would be a very powerful force.

But instead, the Occupy Wall Street movement considers the Tea Party movement to be the enemy.

Just consider what some very prominent leftist leaders have said recently….

*Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa recently stated that he is ready for “war” with the Tea Party….

“We got to keep an eye on the battle that we face: the war on workers. And you see it everywhere, it is the Tea Party. And you know, there is only one way to beat and win that war. The one thing about working people is we like a good fight. And you know what? They’ve got a war, they got a war with us and there’s only going to be one winner.”

He also added the following during his recent speech….

“President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march. Let’s take these son of a bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong”

*Some leftist leaders believe that it is time for “war”.  The following is from a recent speech by The New Black Panther Party National Chairman Malik Shabazz….

We have to fight. Gird up your loins college students. Gird up your loins young black man and young black woman, for the hour of war is at hand.

*Instead of working with the them, the following is what Maxine Waters recently had to say about the Tea Party….

“As far as I’m concerned, the Tea Party can go straight to hell”

Of course a lot of Republicans would rather lose a limb than work with people like Jimmy Hoffa and Maxine Waters.

We are a country that is deeply divided and we seem to love to fight with one another.

Most Americans are deeply, deeply frustrated, but very few of us agree on what the solutions to our problems are.

Whenever a new protest movement arises, Americans tend to flock to it because they are searching for something that they can finally believe in.

Right now the Occupy Wall Street movement is fresh and new.  Michael Moore was right when he said the following about the movement….

“These numbers will grow and they’re going to grow all across the country.”

There are millions and millions of deeply frustrated Americans out there, and any movement that arises that seems to address their concerns is going to draw followers.

The banksters certainly seem alarmed about the growth of protest movements such as Occupy Wall Street.

For example, JPMorgan Chase recently donated over 4 and a half million dollars to the New York City Police Foundation….

JPMorgan Chase recently donated an unprecedented $4.6 million to the New York City Police Foundation. The gift was the largest in the history of the foundation and will enable the New York City Police Department to strengthen security in the Big Apple.

Do you really think that JPMorgan Chase just did that out of the kindness of their hearts?

As movements like Occupy Wall Street grow, law enforcement authorities will crack down on them harder and harder.

In fact, we have already seen some very disturbing incidents during the recent protests.  For example, most of you have already probably seen this video of a police officer spraying mace directly into the faces of helpless female protesters.

It is almost unbelievable that such things are happening in America.

But things are going to get much worse than this.

The frustration of those on the left is going to continue to grow.

The frustration of those on the right is going to continue to grow.

In the years ahead we are going to see mass economic riots that are going to make Occupy Wall Street look like a Sunday picnic.

In response, the powers that be are going to use law enforcement more aggressively than ever in an attempt to exert control.

All of this is going to make many of our large cities hellish place to be.

The “coming economic riots” have now arrived.

America will never be the same again.

According to one recent poll, 39 percent of Americans now believe that the U.S. economy has entered a state of “permanent decline”.

Our nation is falling apart and we are already seeing the frustration of the American people boil over in some very strange ways.  For much more on this growing phenomenon please see the following articles….

American is changing.

You better get ready.

So what do all of you think about the Occupy Wall Street movement? Please feel free to leave a comment with your thoughts below….

  • Bill

They need to traverse the false Left/Right paradigm as you stated..Tea Party people want a balanced budget but most don’t question 132 military bases across the globe about the size of Charlotte, NC..They need to expose the lies of the Mossad/Mossad asset/rogue CIA false flag terror spectacle aka 9-11…Expose that; The mid-air pulverization of the 2 Towers, the classic controlled demolition of Bldg 7..and no 767 having flown into the Pentagon ( just ask Gen Stubblebein or Army Spec April Gallop, Jamie McIntyre or Mark Harris 1st on the scene at CNN-no wreckage of a 767 ) is all enough to begin criminal conspiracy indictments…Plus dissolve the privately owned central bank aka “the Fed”…

  • KB

    Just a couple thoughts:

    1. The Tea Party reminds me of what happened when the original organic companies were sold to the big conglomerates. There is no such thing as the true Tea Party anymore…it is just Republican Lite.

    2. The first thought that comes to mind about the Brooklyn Bridge posse round-up: This could have easily become an eastern episode of the gunfight at the OK Corral if the protesters had done anything but waited to be handcuffed, and I think that is exactly what the police had hoped for…what better reason to call in the military and create that military occupation than to stage a standoff, which the government is very good at and where lots of NON-police folks always get killed. Then, the military would step in “for our own good.”

    3. What we think as prophecies are just the bending of the fabric of time and fast-forwarding to the future (or in another plane, rewinding to the past), so to speak, and it’s coming. Better get ready cuz it’s going to be one heck of a ride.

    • Michael

Yeah it is a good thing that those protesters on the bridge did not get rowdy. That situation could have gotten messy fast.

So much to digest here. Where does one start or stop? I will focus on five important points:

        1. Barack Hussein Obama is not a liberal. When will you people get it through your heads that simply because a person is part of the Democrat wing of the war party that does not make them a liberal?

        2. The Occupy Wall Street movement is strictly pro-Obama in the main, even if there are a few individuals who, like me, may want Obama gone.

        3. The Teabaggers are strictly for the republican wing of the war party. Their ideology is racist in some quarters, pro-corporate and pro big business without morality and pro war to the max and a lover of interventionism in its outlook like the Obama-bots in the other wing of the war party.

        4. As a consequence of items 2 and 3 mainly, there is no coalition with libertarians because the real (and I stress the word real) libertarians are anti-interventionist in their outlook and can therefore never make common cause with people (Amerikans) who support mass murder and genocide against people who have not attacked them using government and military state power.

Just look at all the support that Obama has received on the so-called “left” for assassinating Anwar Al-Awlaki and his confederate, both Amerikan citizens, without charge, trial, or conviction in any court of law.
Bill Maher, digusting troll of HBO, sounds like he should be the reverse Chaz Bono and make himself a full blown girl, complete with miniskirt and pom poms. This guy has never seen a mass murder or killing spree in the name of terrorism that he hasn’t cheered.

        5. Final point, you mentioned the false left/right paradigm in your article. All well and dandy. The question then becomes, when will you express to your readers that they should totally abandon both wings of the war party )(Democrats and Republicans) if they wish to not only save their lives but their very souls…..?

  • Again Michael – thanks for your hard work & research on this & all that you do.

Your gift is to put things in perspective.

Come what may – it is what it is.

    Scott Sepanek

    • Michael

Thank you Scott. I really do believe that this is just the beginning. Much bigger economic riots are coming in the future.

  • The “Occupy” Wherever movement is definitely getting attention, and there is nothing wrong with getting attention non-violently. Many people have not realized until fairly recently that the US societal system IS broken. They have simply, as Michael points out, depended on politicians’ promises to somehow set things straight, if not actually right.

Different people are often upset about the same things but sometimes different things. Some are not worried about losing their jobs but are very upset about bank practices, WikiLeaks revelations, their children’s poor education and TSA groping/scanning. Others have large student loans after years in college, a less than they wanted job, and a mortgage for a house they never should have tried buying after believing the government’s “college and house” hype. Still others are angered at the interference by government agents almost everywhere they turn from the food and supplements they are *allowed* to buy to the places they can go to even within the US without being stopped, questioned and even arrested – sometimes merely while taking photos on from their own property. And still yet others fell for the government protection schemes of Social Security and Medicare while never seriously taking care of their own finances and/or health and now are confused and frightened about their very existence.

The variety of reasons why people are angry is enormous but there is no doubt that very many people ARE angry.

Many people are focusing their anger on “Wall Street” and corporations. However, the banks and corporations couldn’t exist without government! All the privileges that any group receives from government is made possible by government. AND government can’t give out money without having taken it from people who are producing it and/or have saved it. But even more basic is the fact that none of the regulations/edicts/mandates/directives/laws/rulings/etc from legislators, executives (President included), judges, and bureaucrats are more than simply words without the enforcers to threaten and actually initiate physical force as they put those words into effect. The enforcers are key!

“Law” is whatever the government says it is – whether elected or appointed. BUT without the enforcers, all of the governments laws/regulations/mandate/edicts/directives/etc are just words, verbal and/or written. None of those legislators and bureaucrats get out into the field (towns, cities and countryside) and enforcer their own words. They have enforcers – individuals willing to threaten and actually initiate physical force – to do the dirty work.

So while protests get peoples’ attention outside and inside of government, they logically belong also (if not entirely) in Washington DC and at federal (and state + local) government offices everywhere. Even more important, protests themselves especially in regard to government, are not enough since it is the enforcers who are key to everything government is seen as doing. The legislators, executives (President included), judges and bureaucrats do NOT get out into the field (cities, towns and countryside) and enforce their almost countless numbers of regulations/laws/mandates/edicts/directives/etc. They and their moneyed friends do not get their hands dirty. They have enforcers to do the job, individuals willing to threaten and actually initiate physical force – just as we’re seeing in the many Occupy very peaceful protests. The enforcers are KEY!

Publish names and photos of all government enforcers who will not be persuaded by reasoned logic to get truly value producing jobs (or start their own businesses that produce value to others). Such publication will enable all those non-enforcers (and they truly far out number the enforcers) geographically near and far who do not approve of these enforcers’ behavior to cease all voluntary interaction (electronic too). No sales, no service, no camaraderie – no anything! And NO violence. Simply NO voluntary interaction of any kind. This is negative Social Preferencing, known also as shunning and ostracism down through the ages and very persuasive towards behavioral changes without violence and without government.

When there are far fewer government enforcers to do the bidding of the legislators, executives (President included), judges and bureaucrats AND their moneyed friends, there will be far less interference in the mutually voluntary interactions of everybody.

Don’t be tolerant of your neighbors, friends, family, associates and strangers who are enforcers, domestic (cops & agents of numerous federal, state and local agencies) and military – this last being the key to starting and stopping wars. Be part of the solution! Be discriminating, in the finest sense of the word. Associate only with those who produce value and withdraw association from those who prevent value from being exchanged, destroy value that exists and prevent more value from even coming into being.

“Tax/Regulation Protests are Not Enough: Relationship of Self-Responsibility and Social Order” – http://selfsip.org/focus/protestsnotenough.html

And while doing the above, take time to understand how social order without government can come to be: “Social Meta-Needs: A New Basis for Optimal Interaction” – http://selfsip.org/fundamentals/socialmetaneeds.html
This treatise with its many links is not a breezy read – a warning for those looking for and used to soundbites on which to walk away with thinking that such bromides are really foundational and meaningful as a solution to serious social problems. Instead, the twin-framework implementations of the Social Meta-Needs theory – The Natural Social Contract and Social Preferencing – are envisioned as replacements for existing governments, all of which are described and regulated (in the US alone) via thousands of volumes and many millions (?billions?) of words enabling tens of thousands of lawyers to charge handsomely to serve as “gatekeepers” for the common folk.

  • Golden Child

I do not doubt that our government will declare all out war on its own citizens when the real riots come to America. In many ways, no country on earth is as oppressive as America is to it citizens. America locks up it own citizens at a rate much higher than anywhere in the world. The ultra-rich, their laws and their government have already proved that they don’t care about the American people. In lamen terms, we are the government’s b*tch. We sit by and let our government get away with murder by taking away millions of jobs, devaluing our currency, blatantly favoring corporations over working people, incarcerating millions of people for nonviolent offenses, and making living, education, healthcare and owning a home unaffordable to anyone who isn’t rich or wealthy. America is set to be a much scarier violent place in the future.

Are you sure you are talking about america, you perfectly discribed britain to a tee, democracy retired with the greek empire.

As I have been saying like forever, unless and until we fix the gross immoral wealth and income inequality in this country where the richest 400 have more than the bottom 155 million NOTHING will change and things will only get worse.

    Human need before corporate greed!

U.S. Income Equality Trails Iran, Mongolia, and Lithuania, PBS News-hour, September 29, 2011. A useful — and interactive — online info-graphic.

Last year, according to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest Americans paid only 17 percent. That’s because so much of their income is classified as capital gains – which, now at 15 percent, creates a loophole large enough for the super-rich to drive their Ferrari’s through.

The claim that owners of small businesses – who create most new jobs – will stop creating jobs if their taxes rise is also bogus. Only just over 1 percent of small-business owners earn enough to be taxed at the top rate – and that’s just on the portion of their incomes exceeding $379,000.

If the rich don’t pay their fair share of taxes, the rest of us will have to bear more of a burden. That burden will come in the form of either higher taxes on us or less money for the things we depend on – including health care, education, infrastructure and national defense.

Last year, more than 1 in 3 families with children lived in poverty. That’s the highest level on record, according to a new analysis of census data by Northeastern University’s Center for Labor Market Studies.

Meanwhile, the chairman of Merck took home $17.9 million. Earlier this year, Merck announced plans to lay off 13,000 workers. The CEO of Bank of America raked in $10 million.

Looks like the tea baggers are toast. Below is the headline on Huff Post:

BOMBSHELL REPORT: Koch Industries Made Illicit Payments, Lied To Authorities, Fired Ethics Officer..
Internal Doc Acknowledged ‘Violation Of Criminal Law’
Koch Brothers Flout Law With Secret Iran Sales

What a surprise-more right wing libertarian unethical behavior. I just cant believe this!

Michael-again you misquote Hoffa. He CLEARLY said war at the ballot box and you know this.

    I expect better from you.

    • Michael

In this context I was illustrating that Hoffa views the Tea Party as the enemy and that he would not be willing to work with them.

When is Warren Buffet going to pay up the one billion in taxes owed as he harps on every one else to pay their fair share. When will Obama’s buddy at GE pay his fair share. When will the left stop complaining about how so many are poor in the US with their cell phones, big screen TV’s, cars etc, that the real poor in the rest of do not have. You guys on the left are the radicals. You seem to want something for nothing.

    • Guido

That list of demands just sounds silly to me. It makes them sound really naive. I guess that’s college students speaking out; angry, but not entirely thought through.

Some of this stuff, like the claim about blocking alternative energy is laughable. Isn’t business where all that solar, geothermal, hydro, wind, and alternative fuels technology comes from? There are folks exploring every aspect and possibility in alternative energy and they’re trying to bring it to the free market. They’re even having a sustainable solar tech demonstration on the DC Mall right now. Government can’t do it-just look at their crony capitalist venture into Solyndra. It’s free market business that makes alternative energy succeed.

The funny part, to me, is their anger is all directed at private business. They hold private business responsible for the death penalty? For selling privacy information? For taking bailouts? If these kids really believe all this, they’re ignoring the 800 pound gorilla in the room: GOVERNMENT.

It is government that regulates them, bails them out, permits them to trade in private data, and asks for poisons for death row. Government is the big secret. I wonder how they miss it? Is it a lifetime of brainwashing pro-government experiences and propaganda in gov’t schools, gov’t-funded college, gov’t handouts, gov’t-friendly mainstream news?

If this movement is just one big Acorn-Union-Open Society-Soros astroturfed con, then no wonder they’re ignoring the source of the problem. How else can they be out in the streets demanding change of everything but the government? And how odd is it the left is out protesting everything but the president who has been in office for a couple years now?

They’re also, if I read it correctly, attacking the Corporate Veil. THAT is an interesting topic that most people don’t know about. I think the corporate veil is a very interesting and troublesome aspect of American business.

Personally, I don’t think the courts should have recognized corporations as sovereign citizens and shields for their board members because I think it is entirely too easy for business to escape responsibility for its actions.

I know I’m going wayy out into Left field here, but while I think private enterprise is a wonderful thing, I think shareholders and board members, who share in the success of the corporation, should also share in the burden of guilt when a business does something wrong.

If XYZ Corp, for example, is caught dumping carcinogenic toxins into the Chesapeake, perhaps everyone holding stock in XYZ should share in the fines proportionate to their level of investment.

I think the possibility of fines for involvement with a criminal business might insure folks look a lot closer at a business before investing their hard-earned money. Enron might not have gotten so far into trouble if an accountant had stepped forward to blow the whistle the first time someone leaned on them to cook the books. Solyndra’s whistle blower might have spoken up the first month, not the last. Then again, it might destroy the stock market as we know it.

I wonder how much these kids are aware of the forces driving their protest? I wonder how many of them are merely useful idiots and how many are actually aware of the source of the symptoms they’re protesting?

I’ve seen college kids manipulated into protesting in the past. Years ago, when I was in school, UNITE, a union, wanted a raise and came on our campus to ask for support because they claimed they were fighting racism at Kmart.

The kids went out, protested, got arrested, and I don’t think they ever realized they were caught up in a demand for higher wages. The end result was they all got slapped with multiple 500$ fines for their trouble.

I’ll be curious to see how this develops. Oh, and that link you posted Michael, about what that one person witnessed, was very interesting. I remember seeing an on-the-spot account of those Seattle WTO protests years ago and how planted anarchists were the ones who did all the violence, not the majority of peaceful protesters.

  • Gary2

radical leftists WTF??? Michael how about calling the tea baggers radical rightists? Your conservative bias is glaringly obvious. If you hope to have any creditability you need to hide your bias. You are better than this, Please try to be balanced.

radical leftists simply want to make this country work for everyone and not the top 1%.

I was excited to hear Ron Paul/Ralph Nader thinking of being on a third party presidential ticket.

If libertarians and socialists can put aside their differences and fix the things we do agree on, maybe the other things will be fixed also.

I for one would be willing to try. It can’t be any worse than the 2 party BS we have now. Even though the dems are by far the lesser of two evil, they are still evil.

    • ScoutMotto

I think you can make your point without beating up on the writer. I expect better from you than that “pay their fair share” class envy you push so hard, but better never seems to happen. A pity.

  • Carrie Clark

Ron Paul is technically a Republican, as independents never get exposure or coverage but Dr.Paul is what we need. Everyone needs to research him and watch how he is shut out in debates by our partial news media. He has had the same message for over 30 years never changing, and that is living by the constitution and not allowing government to have the power that they do. He has made public his 11 point plan and its the same message he has always had, he hasn’t flip flopped or changed with the wind and this has caused him to be out of favor with many of the government officials and co workers and president. I think he will be the only hope for our country in 2012 otherwise we are doomed to more of the same but worse.

    • Matt

I will vote if he´s not in the republican party as Independent or thrid party YES indeed.
Running mate Ralph Nader…………..break up the false left and right vote.

Boy, I am sure glad this has NEVER happened in the United States before or at any time in our history. These are the WORST times ever in our countrie’s history. There is no way we make it out of this one!

Worker riots in the 60’s, race riots in the 60’s. 68 DNC in Chicago, Kent State, L.A. Riots in the 90’s and on and on.

Please don’t report it as if this is a “new happening” in our country. It has been going on since it’s founding. The problem is, what are we as AMERICANS going to do about it?

Cower in fear? Throw our hands up in the air? Or are we going to try and work with one another and figure this thing out?

No doubt these are trying times, quite possibly the beginnings of something horrific, given our consumer based society and our dependence on fossil fuels. Things could get ugly really quick. That doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface. We have a monetary crisis of epic proportions.

    My question is….

What are the solutions? What are WE AS AMERICANS going to do about it? Are we just going to sit by and watch?

You know, when the Hindenburg crashed in NJ, a lot of people just stood there, mesmerized and watched it. We all know the famous radio call. But you know what? There were also a number of people who risked there lives and went into action and tried to help those people on that airship.

So which is it? Watch the crash happen or step into action and help one another?

I am sick and tired of seeing websites that proclaim the end and simply comment on it. Report on it, show all of the evidence of the coming disaster. That’s great, we can all see it now.

WTF are we going to DO ABOUT IT?

    Are we not Americans?

ON YOU FEET people! Get involved. Start with yourself and let it move outward.

I am sick and tired of all the gloom and doom!

What are you prepared to do?

This is what the left wants to happen in our country. They think that they can control the mobs for their benifit. Well these things can get out of control before they know it. I see some of the complaints caused by the left themselves. No body forced anyone to buy an overpriced house. The buyers knew that they could not afford the payments in the future. They just thought that the price of housing would keep going up and they could sell the home for a profit before they lost it. The left pushed the banksters to make no down payment loans to folks without good credit historys and the banksters saw profit in the cards by going along with the flow. The Barney Franks and the banksters should all be behind bars. Another problem created by the left concerns farming. They have heaped all of this Agenda 21 garbage and Obama’s increased rules on farmers and ranchers so that only the big factory farms will be able to remain in business. It seems that both parties supported the bailouts and the bogus stimulus just went to over paid government union workers and sweetheart deals to the auto workers union. Let’s see the unions are out there protesting for more money. Glenn Beck saw this coming to a T months ago. This is what we get for creating the welfare state. We have shot ourselves in the foot.

    • Gary2

Mark-=wages for all but the top have been stagnant for years. Why shouldn’t the unions be “out there” protesting for more money?

The rich and corporations do this daily except that they simply purchase the politicization and it happens quietly. How in the world do you explain the same right wing bs passing in so many states?

      • mark

Gary, I am all for unions in some cases. The government employee unions are not needed. They donate lots of money to the pols in turn for raises and increased benifits. The public gets screwed. Many of the work rules that unions have in their contracts stop productive work. I was a union plumber. It did not matter how long I worked for an employer, if another plumber produced more and better craftmanship than I and my employer wanted that person instead of me, he could get my check and I am down thre road. It does not work that way with teachers, auto workers, etc. You always say tax the rich, who or at what amount of money do you consider rich?

  • Michael

Here’s another grievance to add to the list.

They have illegally created money out of nothing and lent it to us upon interest.

They have misappropriated the savings of the people deposited with them in bailment, and they have lent them to their own profit.

    • gideon

Is that fractional reserve banking or different?

  • Matt

I heard some people say need another four years for Obbbbbbbbbbammmmmmmmma there dumb.If you look at the spanish 15-m movement its anti-two party dictatorship. The spainards seem to know that nothing will change until you stop voting for the two-party majority. Thrid party votes have tripled. The american people still got there blinders on.

There is less than a 1000 of those lefties and they aren´t even rioting, this event is an epic failure, just like the basement-dwellers attending it.

We in the UK are watching closely
Unfortunately we cannot understand how the American people are still so naive
Politically and still have no real grasp of the core problem I e the industrial, military machine that has bankrupted the country.
Just think what could have been done with the trillion dollars spent on the Iraq,Afghanistan wars over the last ten years?

    • turbomr2

bingo, there you have it. Bush and now Obama have squandered all our finances on the wars. Greenspan blew first internet bubbles and then the housing bubble.

  • Ken w

the left are the ones that resort to violence.(ie. unions) There is not a single example of violence from the Tea Party. Balanced budget, limited govenment and responsibility are hardly radical concepts. The left (progressives, socialists and communists) are the ones rioting in Europe and they have aligned themselves with militant islam to destroy capitalism. What we have now is crony capitalism on both sides of the isle. We need to restructure the tax code as well as prosecute the bankers and politicians that have pillaged our country. Why are leftists always on the wrong side of history? They supported Mao, Stalin, Hitler, Che, Chavez, mass murderers. Pure evil. There are problems with our corrupted system, buy following the leftist will only lead to murder and tyranny. I hate to tell you but the radical left only comprises a small % of the country and while you may sway some young impressionable minds the vast majority of Americans still believe in our traditional, Judeo-Christian values. You want revolution but you won’t win.

A suggestion for a musical accompanient for the present Wall Street demonstrations (every protest movement needs a soundtrack):

“BYOB” by System of a Down.

Not a perfect fit, but it kinda works.

BTW-that’s in interesting new header you put up, Michael. Are you embracing a more optimistic outlook with this cooler, less negative header? It’s a little more inspiring, but I also liked what your wife did with the Detroit pic. It looked good.

Thanks – sometimes a change is needed to freshen things up, and hopefully people have noticed a few changes on this site lately.

      As always, feedback is welcome.

Once the movement gets strong enough leaders will emerge. At some point the movement needs to agree to a written declaration of demands which should then be published with full support of all occupy members.

I say the more the merrier for now. We’ll see who’s really in this for the right reasons once things mature a bit.

Until then, know your enemy and don’t lose sight of what this is all about.

“For example, JPMorgan Chase recently donated over 4 and a half million dollars to the New York City Police Foundation… Do you really think that JPMorgan Chase just did that out of the kindness of their hearts?”

Of course not. Go back and read the book “Serpico” and see the movie by the same name. Contrary to popular TV shows, the NYPD is historically very corrupt and easily bought off. This is true is a great many cities. It’s an old game in New York City, and the banksters know how to plan it well.

Why would Occupy Wall Street team up with the tea party? The tea party is everything that is wrong with this country that OWS is protesting. They are bought and paid for by fox news and the koch brothers who are systematically robbing the bottom 99% of this country just to enrich themselves and their cronies. The tea party is fully complicit in this robbery and a lot of them are too stupid to even realize they are working for rupert murdoch.

      Amen, you are correct!

Wall St is just one part of the three part problem. The other two parts are the US Treasury Dept and the Federal Reserve. There is a continously revolving door among the FED, Treasury and the big Wall St financial entities.
The powerful “elite” rotate in and out of US government service. When they are not at Treasury, they are at the FED, or on Wall St. This incestuous group grope always places the power and profits of the Wall St criminals above the interests of the country at large. WAKE UP, America…..it is Wall ST PLUS the US Treasury PLUS the FED that has wrecked the American economy!

  • Brett Weer

All the leaders of this movement, especially the presidents of all of the unions are idiots!

It is Obama that has cost America to lose millions of jobs. It is Obama that getting the U.S. to join even more free trade agreements. It is Obama that is letting illegals gain amnesty and get our jobs and suck away at our wealth. It is Obama that getting money from Wall Street and in return help them get even more power.

On the war front, it is Obama that is making the world hate us even more. Obama added Libya, Pakistan, Somalia, and Yemen to our war fronts. and now he thinking about Syria and Iran.

All those ultra-liberals need to get a clue. Obama is part of the problem.

  • Miguel Angel Tinoco Rodriguez

TAKE FROM A PROPHECY from and lds Patriacrh Charles D. Evans.

“But,” continued the messenger, “Thou beholdest a change. Confidence is lost, wealth is arrayed against labor, labor against wealth, yet the land abounds in plenty of food and raiment, and silver and gold in abundance. Thou seest also the letters written by a Jew have wrought a great confusion in the finance of our nation; which altogether with the policy of many wealthy ones, has produced distress and do produce further sorrows.” Factions now sprang up as if by magic. Capital had entrenched itself against labor, and throughout the land labor was organized in opposition to capital. The voice of the wise sought to tranquillize their powerful factors in vain. Excited multitudes ran wildly about, strikes increased, lawlessness sought a place in the regular government.”

  • Gay Veteran

“…It is also very unusual for liberals to be conducting mass protests while a liberal is sitting in the White House….”

HaHaHaHaHaHaHa, there is NO liberal in the White House. Obama sometimes poses as a liberal, but he is actually a corporate whore.

I don’t recall you running a similarly negative post about the Tea Party. There are lots of stories out there about how the Tea Party was aided by the finanial elite like the Koch brothers.

And I am absolutely shocked that you have distorted what Hoffa said. He said: “…Everybody here’s got to vote. If we go back and keep the eye on the prize, let’s take these son of a bitches out and give America back to America where we belong!….”

you wrote: “…the powers that be are going to use law enforcement more aggressively than ever in an attempt to exert control….”

The cops are just the enforcers for the financial elite.

  • Non Bankster

Here are seven clear and common demands that both the left and right would probably agree on:

    1. Stop the looting and start prosecuting. Not protesters, banksters. Fraudclosure, fraudulent lending practices, fraudulent securitization, fraudulent accounting here and abroad. It all must end right now with prosecution both for past and forwardly-committed financial scam sins.

    2. We will not pay for the bailouts and handouts. Not now, not tomorrow, not ever. Nor will our children and those not yet born. We will withdraw consent through our cessation of taxable work product if the government refuses to meet this demand and claw back every nickel of the transfers it already made. That response is lawful and is, in fact, exactly what happened in Egypt. We will bring it here.

    3. We are the 99%. Yes, some of us are liberal and some of us are conservative on social issues. On this issue – the rule of law – we are united and we stand as one. This crap stops right now; we’ll fight about the other issues later.

    4. There is a process for unpayable debts and it’s constitutional. It’s called bankruptcy and it must be available to all with unpayable debts. Period. This means medical debt, it means student loans and it means mortgages. All debts. If you want a demand that will collapse the bankster BS game, that’s the one. You shouldn’t get off if you borrowed foolishly but neither should the lender who lent you money they either knew or should have known you couldn’t repay. No bailouts and no handouts on either side of the ledger.

    5. We know that pulling the deficit spending and “supports” from under the banksters and housing will cause an economic contraction worse than the 1930s. We know the pension funds are levered up with bank debt that must be haircut severely and that stock prices will fall precipitously if financial institutions are forced to tell the truth and “easy credit” is removed. WE NOT ONLY KNOW THIS, WE ACCEPT IT AND DEMAND THAT IT HAPPEN RIGHT NOW ANYWAY. Why? Because we are Americans. We make mistakes. We accept the possibility of bankruptcy for ourselves when we make mistakes but we demand that the jackass on the other side of the desk gets the same punishment for making a bad loan we get for taking one out. We want to buy houses when they’re cheap just like we want to buy DVD players when they’re cheap. We want American industry to provide jobs, not jobs for Chinese who were tending rice-paddies with the “profits” flowing to executives while Americans go jobless on the dole. We accept that realignment and re-industrialization of America will be painful but the fact remains that wealth disparity that comes from ripping people off is bad while wealth disparity that comes from being inventive and industrious is good — the latter is how we make progress and the latter are the people who we want to have the money to hire us, not the former!

    6. We demand that the “cheap money” policies, which in fact are really nothing more than bailouts and handouts across the board along with protectionism for the bankster class and those who offshore jobs, end right now. This means no more negative real interest rates anywhere on the curve and a true zero inflation target with criminal penalty teeth in the law. We’re prepared to back this up with the sort of durable protest that we see in NYC and elsewhere and we will expand it as we’re able and as is required until the above demands are met.

    7. We demand tax reform that results in nobody getting a free ride and nobody having loopholes they can exploit. Whatever we do for a tax system the instructions must fit on one 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of paper and be presumptively correct under law when followed. Your “return”, if you have to file one, must fit on a postcard. Corporate taxation must be similarly simple and presumptive. We demand that the government bring in via taxes every dollar it wishes to spend in programs in the present tense, not borrowing from the future. We can and will have the debate over exactly what those services are in the public square, as we should, and render our opinions in the voting booth. We will not tolerate one more day of deficit spending. Period.

“How can a movement originated and funded by globalists end the globalist scheme to enslave the world?

“There is one major inaccuracy in all the coverage that has been bothering me, and that is the focus on Anonymous as the architects and organizers of the event,” an email received September 23 states. “The initial call for the protest was put out by the magazine Adbusters.”

The person, who shall remain nameless at this point – since I have not gained his permission to quote the private email he sent to me – is not merely a bystander or an outsider making an observation. He claims to be intimately connected to the movement through the General Assembly of New York [1], described as the central planning and organizing committee for the protest. His Facebook page reveals he is indeed connected to Occupy Wall Street.

The Adbusters Media Foundation describes itself [2] as a non-profit “anti-consumerist” organization that functions as “a global network of artists, activists, writers, pranksters, students, educators and entrepreneurs who want to advance the new social activist movement of the information age.”

Like many so-called leftist non-profits, Adbusters is a creature of globalist foundations. According to research conducted by Activistcash.com [3], Adbusters takes money from a number of supposedly progressive foundations, including the big Kahuna of leftish foundations – the Tides Foundation and Tides Center. Between 1996 and 2003, Tides doled out $334,217.00 to Adbusters, by far the largest amount of eight foundations donating.

Steve Baldwin [4] claims Tides received over $7 million from George Soros. Although the monetary connection between Tides’ founder Drummond Pike and the arch globalist [5] Soros is somewhat murky, researcher Ron Arnold [6] has mapped out numerous connections between the two so-called philanthropists. Under IRS rules, Drummond is not obliged to reveal who he receives money from to fund a large number of supposedly progressive organizations.

“The Tides Foundation is a pass-through for other foundations’ money,” writes Arnold. “Tides Foundation is a public charity, not a private foundation. Tides Foundation passes other foundations’ money to a spectrum of left-wing organizations which the original donors would not or could not support on their own… Because none of the more than 260 projects under the Tides umbrella files its own Form 990 with the IRS, their finances are totally secret and not available for public inspection, an issue that requires congressional remedy.”

The Dj Osiris [8] blog adds further detail: “It would seem George Soros is connected to the U.S. Day of Rage aka Occupy Wall Street through The Ruckus Society. On the U.S. Day of Rage website. [9] The Ruckus Society receives funding from the Tides Foundation [10] and George Soros’ Open Society Institute provides grants to Tides, including a mere $4.2 Million in 2008, the last year figures are available.”

As the filmmaker Michael Moore [11]admitted to We Are Change activist and journalist Luke Rudkowski last week, the goal of the movement funded in large part with globalist lucre is to attack and dismantle capitalism. Moore discounted out of hand any effort to end the Federal Reserve and return the nation to sound and honest money controlled by the American people, not a cartel of bankers and oligarchs from the financial class, including George Soros.

Instead of addressing issues that will solve the serious social and political problems created by fractional reserve banking and other scams run by the ruling elite, the Soros lubricated anti-capitalist movement will steer popular outrage and political reaction into fireproof channels that can be controlled by globalist forces behind the curtain.

On the so-called right side of the political spectrum, a similar operation was carried out against the Libertarian Tea Party movement, now largely a cheering section and amen choir for the establishment Republican Party that is dominated by neocon personalities such as Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, and the political cameleon and former Gore operative Rick Perry.

The Occupy Wall Street movement, funded by globalist foundations – and increasingly receiving sympathetic coverage by the corporate media, at least its “liberal” wing – is nowdescribing itself [12] as a gathering of “descamisados” (impoverished, landless) arrayed against the “estancieros” (land owners), a class warfare reference made popular in Argentina.

In reality, it is another consolidation of wealth program designed by the elite. Warren Buffet [13]may take to the pages of the New York Times and call for taxing the “rich,” but what he is advocating is in essence a wealth consolidation program.

The ruling elite, their banks and transnational corporations do not pay taxes [14], the little people do, as Leona Helmsely arrogantly noted. Increasing taxes on the “1 percent,” as the movement demands, to save the “99 percent,” will result in a further erosion of the middle class, as the elite know.

“The higher taxes may very well cause the smaller businesses to go out of business,” notes theCollateral Damage [15] blog. “They won’t have the economies of scale to compete with the bigger corporations, so what ends up happening is that the small business assets eventually get sold to the big corporations, usually for a fraction of what the assets are worth. So in effect, it ends up being a wealth transfer from the middle class to the super elite rich.”

If we look beyond the facile socialist rhetoric and examine who is funding and essentially running the Occupy Wall Street movement – the “liberal” foundations with the same globalist goal as their supposed ideological enemies on the so-called right (who defused the real Tea Party movement) – we realize that the movement is essentially another effort to colonize political opposition and render it ineffective and politically impotent.

The real movement, and the one posing a serious threat to the “1 percent,” the global elite, is calling for an end to the Federal Reserve, a return to the core principles of our once proud constitutional republic, and sound, honest money not controlled by the elite and the financial sector now tasked with taking down the economy and reducing America to a third-world wasteland.”

  • A Dodgy Bloke

The simple fact of the mater is government is broken and the political system is broken. Our civilization is collapsing, economically, socially, and politically. These problems are not going to be solved by a few thousand members of rent a mob in New York or a few hundred left wing loons scattered around the country. It’s not going to be solved by dead ideologies like Socialism, Communism, and Marxism spewed by these dim wits. The Welfare State around the world is dying and no amount of howling is going to stop the process.
Lets be honest if regulators under George the Second and Slick Willie administrations would have did their jobs much if not all of this would have been avoided. Europe would still be in trouble but the US would be in much better shape to weather any storm. Frankly I don’t give a rat’s rear end what happens to Europe.
That battleship has sailed and now we are stuck with not if the next down turn will happen but when and how bad. Occupy New York will fizzle out after the first serious cold snap. It’s to narrow politically, and the hard left has alienated most of fly over country a long time ago. No political movement will fly with out the moderates and the center right that’s just a fact. Libertarians are nice to have around but if you ask five Libertarians what they believed few would agree with the rent a mob. Occupy New York will fail.

  • joeliberty

These people are confused, but not stupid. They are going to be used to crackdown further. They should be protesting the Federal Reserve, the IRS, the Congress (for not doing their job), and the White House (for conspiring with the bankers). All the bankers are laughing right now. Have you noticed they never mentioned the bailouts or tarp? They will be responsible for more government crack downs coming and all I have to say is be prepared and DO NOT give any ground to this government because it is possible you could end up in a bread line somewhere or worse in an “internment camp.”

Occupying the white house won’t save the USA! Like every other empire’s end the USA is now also on it’s last legs and you all know it!

DEFCONStudios (about 5 posts up) hit the nail on the head. I would have many of the same things, but his post is far more accurate than I would have been able to assemble.

I think the article itself was pretty good, demonstrating various research about positions you would have expected to see put forth by people, if they were truly concerned about what they claim. Since there seems to be a contradiction, the journalist starts to prod deeper. I like the postulates.

Lastly, while reading through the article and most of the comments, the thing that most came across to my intuition was that which DEFCONStudios wrote about. And that is, that communists like Soros, and others, want to see America have a violent civil war so that they can usher in Martial Law and the complete end of the Republic.

I hate to be a fatalist, but with as many people as I speak to on a day to day basis, the amount of foolishness and brain-dead people is staggering. They don’t understand the difference between knowledge and wisdom, facts, theories or hypotheses, are unable to disect an essay, unable to reiterate something that was just shown them, and well, basically a hopeless era.

Ultimately, this is God’s judgment begun on a people who have committed every sacrilege against Him, and would rather worship creatures rather than the Creator. So therefore, God gives them up to their lusts to commit every abominable act and sends upon them a strong delusion since that is what they want, they will get it.

America will not survive another 25 years.

For those who have eyes to see and ears to hear, you must see that the earth is not your home. Look to Christ and the city Whose builder and maker is God.

OWS is not a turning point. Remember, this is America you are writing about. Most Americans REFUSE to look at the Israeli connection to 911. Most Americans believe a Boeing 757 disappeared into a 16 ft wide hole at the Pentagon on 11 Sept 2001. Most Americans believe a large commercial airliner “buried” itself at Shanksville, Pa, with no debris left behind. Most Americans think it just fine that Bush took the nation to WAR with LIES. Most Americans have no remorse for the CIA torturing and killing captives. America is a “goner”. There are not enough intelligent and informed citizens here to do anything important, like right the ship of state. It just can not happen with a dumbed down citizenry.

You may not find many anti-Obama signs… but you won’t find many pro-Obama signs either, many of them realize Obama is a corporate shrill, or at least a wuss when it comes to standing up to them.

The Reason why they hate the Tea Party is pretty simple, because the Tea Party has been bought out by Wall Street.

The current Tea Party Mantra believes that with small government the Private Sector should take over most government roles, because the ‘Invisible hand of the market’ does it better, this is the same hand that required being bailed out by the government.

They’re protesting how Wall Street is controlling the government while the Tea Party says “Let Wall Street directly become the government.”

Can you see why they hate them?

  • A Watcher

Notice: Above views are not necessarily mine, I think they’re damn fools and that this isn’t going to end well for them.

But it’s sad how both the Tea Party and these protesters are protesting the very same thing, a broken system, where as their only issue is they disagree on who to blame.

The above picture says everything that is wrong with American society! I see an overweight, obese, fat and ignorant police officer weighing twenty tons who eats 100 beef burgers a day!

He thinks he’s doing the right thing because he’s been brainwashed by the coperative media to oppress his own people!. His idea of patriotism is following his masters no matter what they say and kill his own people if need be to save his sinking country!

Without doubt American’s are the most stupid and dumbest people on the planet, even their own celebrities make fun out of them!. You can sell American’s ******** calling it chocolate cake and they’ll eat it without asking questions! Thanks for the laughs!!

Like the above police officer most American’s are equally unfit for life to the degree that one fat fool blocks the entire road making it impossible for his equally obese compatriots to pass by!. America you are a complete disgrace

that would be awesome if the Tea party and Occupy Wall Street joined up. I was dumb last year and voted Repub thinking that they could force gridlock and real change in the government. I was wrong. I was so angry about how the Repubs caved in on the debt ceiling deal that I am truly discusted with them. Repubs think that they should cut veterans benefits and WIC to save a few bucks, but they think nothing of bailing out Wall street banks and fighting endless wars. (a little secret) THEY CANT END THE WARS!! THERES TOO MANY YOUNG AMERICANS WITHOUT JOBS AND THEY HAVE TO PROVIDE THEM SOMETHING!!! We are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

  • Imran

American’s themselves are responsible for their decline because they remain silent when their government kills in the name of democracy!

You see there are many American’s who have good intentions but most wouldn’t know what’s happening across the road nevermind outside their country!!

Most are media slaves who believe whatever is being told to them instead of bothering to think for themselves! For example most American’s believe “Indian’s” refers to the native people of the America’s not realising that there is a nation called India with a population of over a billion people!

Most American’s believe that Christopher Colombus “discovered” America, that he was the first man to set foot in the region! The point is that when a society is so poorly read in history then it’s fall will be spectacular as various articles here suggest that things are going to get a hundred times worse for you people!

Think of the Afghanis, Iraqis and Vietnemese people during this period that may make things easier for you when judgement, revenge and retribution come calling!

endoftheamericandream.com should consider itself fortunate that an educated and enlightened individual like yours truely frequents this website! The pleasure is all yours!!!

How do we know that all of these “spontaneous uprisings” are not being manipulated by the Feds, and, these days, even designed up front on giant computers such as Jaguar?

This is no longer science fiction.

  • What is Anonymous? What is “The Plan”?

    Ladies and gentlemen,

This is an address to the people and media outlets of the world. Allow me to share with you a message. What you take from this message is for you to decide, but we must address some important issues at hand as to who we are and what we stand for. We are simply Anonymous. And before I tell you what Anonymous is, allow me to begin by sharing with you a story of one person who takes the step to becoming Anonymous. This person is neither you nor I, but everyone. It is our brother, our sister our family and our friend. This is their story:

I awoke today much like any other. The alarm, the slight ache nagging in my back, the random ray of light sneaking through the curtain. Today was just like the last and a precursor to tomorrow. Every day was exactly the same. Wake up, coffee, cigarette, get ready, off to work. Spend all day at work dealing with bullshit I could care less about, simply to make a few bucks. Go home, eat, two hours of MY time, bed. Rinse, repeat.

And this is how today was different. Because today…it hit me. Today I recognized this system for what it is. BULLSHIT. Today I identified within myself what life should be, rather than what is simply accepted. But why? Why do so many people become so completely dismissive of that tiny little itch deep within their soul that calls out to them, trying to remind them what this life could be…or perhaps I should further emphasize my belief by saying what this life should be.

Are we really here to be born into this world, raised as a child and molded into conformity? Taught what it is to be “normal”, how to think, what to say, how to live? We begin our young lives with constant indoctrination under the guise of education only to grow up with higher expectations from all the garbage society shoves into our minds. Our obsession with idols, entertainment and celebrities has us chasing unattainable wealth and fame until we finally realize that reality is knocking on our door and it’s time to put the suit on and get that dream job everyone always talks about. And why not? Maybe get a nice house in the suburbs, nice car, enough money to live comfortably numb to the world around us. Maybe a nice little dog would do too? Yes I think so. Sony has a new big screen? Why yes, I must have that. Right after I get the iPhone 15! We grow up being told who to be. We become that person and we are told what to buy, what to wear and how to be happy. And if you can’t, there’s drugs to help. Then we get old, maybe buy a home in Florida and we die. Is this what we are here for? To be shaped into molds, taught to consume until the day we’re put in the ground?

My mind raced…conformity, corruption, apathy, acceptance, oppression, violations of human-rights. Millions of people suffering, starving, struggling. Why? Why does this have to happen? And how is this acceptable? Corporate big-wigs are living the high life while they rape the land we all share and steal our way of life. Our cultures are polluted by their preachings of capitalism and consumerism. Do we really even know ourselves anymore? Do you like what you see within yourself? Are you happy with the life you have, the struggle of your daily life and the lives of others around you? Can you honestly justify that simply because things are going well for you at this present time, nothing needs to be done to change this world to end the suffering and struggle of millions? Where has our compassion gone? Where is our passion for life?

Fact: Almost half of the world – over three billion people – live on less than $2.50 a day. THREE BILLION PEOPLE! At least 80% of humanity lives on less than $10 a day and live in countries where income differentials are widening. 22,000 children die each day due to poverty and 1 billion live in poverty. That’s one out of 2 children in the world.

Fact: The world military expenditure in 2010 is estimated to have reached $1.62 trillion in US dollars, representing a 50% increase since 2001. This corresponds to 2.6 percent of world GDP, or approximately $236 for each person in the entire world. The United States with it’s massive spending budget, is the principal determinant of the current world trend and now at 43% of the world total, accounts for just under half the military expenditures of the entire world.

Fact: The National Police Misconduct Statistics and Reporting Project (NPMSRP) was started in March of 2009 as a method of recording and analyzing police misconduct in the United States through the utilization of news media reports to generate statistical and trending information. In general, from April 2009 to June 2010 there were 5,986 reports of misconduct that have been recorded. 382 Fatalities were linked to misconduct. Nearly $350 billion had been spent in related settlements and judgements. 23% of the reports for 2010 at the time of presentation were due to excessive force. 10.6% were linked to sexual misconduct. And recently in Dayton, Ohio a mentally handicapped boy was beaten, tazed and arrested by Dayton Police.

The lists of injustices and corruption in the world go on and on. And now I ask again – how have we come to accept this? Simply because that is the way it is? If we as humans truly have souls, reason, logic and compassion then I say that accepting the unacceptably unjust is less than acceptable.

Was this a sudden epiphany that burst in my brain, spontaneously igniting receptors and allowing my thought process to comprehend these matters specifically on this day? No, today is different because beginning on this day, I can no longer except this insanity simply because “that’s the way it is”. Today I can see the system before me, it’s gears turning, surrounding us from every angle as the machine swallows us whole. Today I brought my wrench. Today…my heart and soul ignited with the ideas that make me Anonymous. And on this day, we must set the record straight.

Still an individual, I am also many. I am you and you are me. We are one within our cause. Anonymous is not a group, nor is it a membership. Anonymous is merely an idea. The idea of true freedom, a world free of corruption, oppression and tyranny where we can live our lives as we sit fit and truly be ourselves and be accepted for it. An idea that seeks to defend such freedoms and pursue the proper course in the better interest of the people of this planet, rather than cater to the bank accounts of a small percentage of wealthy elite and crooked politicians and government officials. In sharing these ideas and principals, we are all Anonymous.

We are not who we have been portrayed to be. While some who associate themselves as Anonymous may make the personal decision to attack targets through hacking and exploits, being Anonymous does not make you a hacker, nor does it mean that you are a criminal. Being Anonymous simply means that one shares the values and principals of freedom, the defense of it and the pursuit for it. We are ordinary people, concerned with the state of this world. We are your neighbors, your friends, your family. We are your mailmen, store clerks, business professionals, veterans and military personnel. And united as this one idea we call Anonymous, we desire a change. A change that is for once in the better interest of the people of this world. Through this desire, we have devised what we so simply yet eloquently call “The Plan.”

“The Plan” consists of three phases occurring over the course of the next year and will continue from there-on. Since the launch on June 15th 2011, we have grown to over 50,000 members strong. Our actions and passion for our cause speak volumes for the sincere and pure motives of our movement. What do we desire? A more promising way of life, free of the constraints society has laid upon us. Free of the division. A world with more transparent governments that work for the people, instead of against them. Where peace officers are serving the people once again rather than the establishment. A world where we can evolve as a world community, end these senseless wars and settle our differences with nothing more than true diplomacy. We wish to have less corporate influence in our countries and in our daily lives. We want to see the return of main street, and the gradual containment of wall street. And most certainly, we desire the ability to control our own economy by removing the powers that have been granted to the world banks and ridding the world of their fiat currencies. To sum the many ideas we share into one statement: We desire a world that works together as human beings in the best interest of the people, decided by the people rather than a world divided by race and nationality that functions solely for wealth and conquest.

The phases of “The Plan” are broken down ever so simply, and yet complex in their entirety.

Phase One: Assemble. Spread the message and begin educating yourself further on the corruption that takes place within our communities and our world as a whole. Share information and assist each other in developing new ideas for our own lives and our communities to improve the current condition.

Phase Two: Organize. Continue spreading the message and education. Begin reaching out into your own community and building the unity and bond to strengthen the cause in your local areas. Learn what you can do to help others around you. Learn compassion and caring for others and ways you can improve the lives of others. Begin planning ways to address the important issues that stand between our communities and a better way of life.

Phase Three: Mobilize. Our efforts come full circle and we begin to share our dissatisfaction in organized, mass-unison with those who control the current structure of the system. Mass protests, boycotts and other peaceful means of non-compliance will be used to set the message straight that we will no longer participate and tolerate this system of servitude.

Our unity will be our stronghold. Our respect and understanding for personal differences will be our foundation. Our cause will be our offensive and our dedication, intelligence and philosophy will be our defense. Change is coming, and we can for once look forward to this change.
United as one. Divided by zero. We are Anonymous. Expect us.

Big daddy, the law of attraction is real that what you do to others will eventually return to haunt the very people! Metaphysics teaches us this to be an undeniable fact, all we have to see are the mighty empires that perished when they began thinking they were God!!

This law does not recognise a person’s religious belief, ethnicity or race but delivers collective punishment to those who supported oppression and those who remained silent!

These 2012 prophecies have a lot of truth in them, the spiritual community is rightfully warning you people over the events that will devastate you next year!. Just saw the movie “2012” a few days back where America in particular is being flattened from end to end so don’t bet against it baby!

The current world situation where we are standing on the brink of WW3 is no coincidence as on one hand we have the designs of American imperialism whilst there own country burns and on the other hand other nations are rising against you!

You heard it here first that in a few years the ones who survive this period will be living in a very different world! The earth will revert to it’s original position.

    2. The Top 1 Percent of Americans Take Home 24 Percent of National Income.

    3. The Top 1 Percent Of Americans Own Half of the Country’s Stocks, Bonds and Mutual Funds.

    4. The Top 1 Percent Of Americans Have Only 5 Percent of the Nation’s Personal Debt.

    5. The Top 1 Percent are Taking In More of the Nation’s Income Than at Any Other Time Since the 1920s.

Anyone who does not think we need to tax the rich and spread the wealth is deluded.

  • I posted the above “Anonymous” You-tube clip and transcript, as it seems this “group” may have a good bit to do with the “Occupy Wall Street” movement, as well as other protest movements around the globe. This is another announcement they made about an event predicted to take place in Britain next month, Oct 15th, called, Operation Britain – October 15th 2011.

Citizens of Britain, We are Anonymous.

The riots that we have witnessed over the last week, whilst violent and misguided, are a product of decades of neglect inflicted on your country by various governments. We do not condone mindless thuggery, but that does not stop us from seeing the reality behind it.

Your politicians and the media do their best to avoid seeing that reality. They would rather manipulate public anger in order to cloud judgment and create division. They will use these riots as an excuse to withdraw civic freedoms, increase draconian police powers, and discourage legitimate protest. By placing their emphasis on mindless criminality, your politicians mask the extent to which a significant section of society is stuck in an impoverished way of life with little hope for the future.

Anonymous senses your displeasure and witnesses the iron fist of the state being used more and more often to put down dissent before it begins. We note also the ever increasing tide of propaganda issued to justify these repressive acts. The law is no longer the protector of the citizens but the protector of a wealthy few from the many, who have very little. Justice has become yet another commodity that only the wealthy can afford.

We sympathise with the anger that seethes under the facade of your country’s diplomatic image. It is time to take a stand and realise that solutions will not be found in today’s corrupt political landscape. You should seize this opportunity to rally for freedom. Anonymous stands with you in this struggle and will fight alongside you in the battle for permanent change. Let your enemies stand forewarned.

Saturday October 15th 2011 will be your opportunity for rebellion. We call on Britain to unite and organise peacefully. Unions, anti-cuts groups, community organisations, students, activists, citizens: you know your political system is not fit for purpose. Rally your supporters and stand together in holding mass protests in your major cities. Together you can send a powerful message to your government: you are the people of Britain and your voice WILL be heard.

    Yours sincerely,
    Operation Britain

    We are Anonymous.
    We are Legion.
    We do not forgive.
    We do not forget.
    Expect us.

Google – The Perfect Labor Storm –

You will find this event scenario depicted therein and hence your all playing a Sheepish role for The Powers That Be. You will be overtaken by the Nouveau-Elitist with an agenda – Moore with his crap to sell, Obama for an election to win, and worst of all – the Unions with their Leadership to spur. You have a chance, you have a voice, folks are listening – drive out the 9/12/2001 China agreement from the Fed and work you way backwards to what our picture is today. Find a cause, a set of Un-American, lost causes, totalitarianism, the police state of the Now and break us all free of this tyranny. I have Children, I am not Your generation – mine battled for little – we all just found a way to make doe and robot through life – you are more intelligent, more driven, more focused than mine ever was, I am a product of the 60’s your mostly products of the 90’s and 80’s… and your options are so limited…..

You have been told you must take on 10’s if not 100’s of thousands in debt – you cannot repay forever, and for what? No Job? So they say their school is so great and worth so much money – but what is the placement % for your degree today from that school? You want a life, a home, kids, a place in society to grow – and you don’t want to have to make the next ‘pet-rock’ to do it…. I get it… My generation was ALL ABOUT making the next pet rock… and we just had one of our own commit suicide today, because of government scrutiny for selling what? Vitamins?…

So yea, the fact is – this IS a police state, this IS fascism.. this IS No-Control whatsoever of your future or direction… and if I was where you are now, if I didn’t have my 30 years of working my butt off, and the XP that goes with that – I would be totally doomed… I have to work very hard, 16+ hours a day, to stay in what you refer to as the 1%, and it is not that much money anymore – 300K? What is that really? Well, it may sound like a lot, 25K a month – but after taxes, it isn’t – it is really only about 4K a week, which affords me what? A nice pad, I never get to see because I’m always working?…. I get like 120-150K from my Big Company Job and the rest I have to go into my community and work uber hard for at night to earn… My generation was not so focused on a college career, I cannot even imagine if I had like $1200 or more a month in a student loan I had to satisfy forever – how lame is that?… On the other side, when I was your age, I could have easily paid for college, but I raged – I hit that 100+K and moved it to 200, then 3 and for what? I have been working since I was 13 freaking years old… Can I hit 6502 assembler? 3DOG baby – and what does that mean today?.. not much..

The fact is, this is your time, this is your moment… Do NOT let it get stolen or your movement infiltrated by the ultra-left wing which has an elitist agenda – the playbook is so hosed, this is it – way broken down – Let’s have totalitarianism, or communism, or socialism… and because I said it 1st, because I am here, I can be a raging hypocrite… I can be a freaking Al Gore – I can talk Green Just like That – and live in a mansion on the sea, I can be a Moore, and talk ‘give all the money away’ and have horded 100’s of millions…. Come on – you guys are smart as Hell – I will give you that – you have grown up with the fruits of dudes like me, that worked forever to make sure the telnet and freaking gopher worked at midnight at your college, and then CERN came along and changed the world with the http://WWW...

Still.. Those of us who played IP in the 80’s, who killed their personal lives for mad doe, drove what you consider interconnectedness into common thought… and now you have all that stuff on your IPad, IPhone, and Android… You have to answer the question folks – what the hell are you gunna do with it?… Are you gunna rage against the machine? then freaking do it!…

Stop lallygaggin around and find some stuff and bring that stuff up! – what did the Fed commit to China on 9/12/2001? What has brought tyranny to our country? Why have foreign off-sets driven an employment model that has you with no Job? Do you even know what offsets are in the Global Economy?

Read the right crap… Google the right key-words and fargin-frakin save us all…

This is your time – do NOT waste it!

  • I live in Norfolk Va. a southern military town. Even here people are getting fed up. Normally everyone is blinded by patriotism, however it’s getting rough out here and this military town is ready to break the chain of command.

  • the truth

people dont get it. stop talking about other people issues when you dont even have your things together. we all wanna make whine when things get tuff. hell the people who made this country went through more than we ever did and we act like we dont deserve all this?Live is tuff and you arent expected anything.the american dream is still here and alive. its not about a house we a family and two cars. its the land of opportunity to succeed, its like a light switch “its on or off” either you make it or you don’t.if we want change we need to redo the whole system, we need to change ourselves.i hear people say “we need to change our medical system” well how about you start eating healthy and putting crap inside your body and you wouldnt even be worrying about the damn medical system they will change it.if people start buy local than the industy will change to accomodate that need. same with everything else. our education system is bad? how about putting up the damn tv and sports for a while and try learning a new skill that will benifit you or your kid in the future where they have a chance to become successful its sad when a school use its education money to build a new football stadium and not on actuall education but no one complains about that”. putting new parts on a beat up broken down engine isnt smart. sometimes its good to put in a new engine and maybe put in some old parts that are in good shape and means well. our system ,our way of life cant be manage for ever. laws of thermodynamics. theres always a beginning, peak and a decline in everything. all this argueing and pointing fingers at people and occupying wall street isnt going to get crap done. just going to lead to marshal law and hell in america. we need to do it like our founding fathers did. keep the constitution throw out the rest of the garbage laws keep in the good ones and apply new ones that everyone (majority) can benifit/agree on. vote out everyone that cause the mess in the first place all this dem/rep two headed one body party crap, the liberal crap is childish.we are people human beings on this earth. this is the time when we as in everyone in the world should be coming together. im tired of this “i hate the fed/banks ” crap. if you hate it so much why in the hell you still using the banks or using money? what happen to boycotting??people dont like corporations? why are you still shoping at walmart and not local grown mom and pop shops? why are you complaing about jobs when you are still supporting china by buy there stuff? everyone is dependant on the corporations and gov for everything. so if you cut them off a lil then what? you want us to end like the euro?if you cut off some of the spending people wont be getting there checks in the mail, you want to go back to the late 1800s or early 1900s? no one will last in that type of society. and also ending the fed. anything we do will put us in the greatest depression. the fed holds on to alot of toxic assets so ending the fed would unleash hell in the market.if we bankrupt its going to be hell. if interest rate go up on our national debt its going to be hell since majorty of america are in debt. we are a consumerist country and thats all we do( fat lazy nation).sounds like a paramid scheme to me. the only way we can sustain anything is by wasting(buying crap) if the people stop buying the ecoonomy stops as well. also in a scheme the power elites get all the money while everyone else gets the scraps, on top of that a scheme requires you to have infinite growth which we dont have. so either way you want to put it is that our crazy living is coming to an end wether you still want to live in your fantasy or not. it happened to rome its going to happen to us. where no different so get ready.

  • Americans simply need to take their power back, become more self-reliant, and change their behavior, so they aren’t FUNDING the globalists.

What can Americans do to fight the New World Order?
    1. Turn off your T.V. (Better yet, throw it away)
    2. Think for yourself.
    3. Question all so-called ‘Authority’(Especially big banks,big oil,big weapons manufacturers,big government,multinational corporate interests,big media,and anything you were taught in school)!
    4. Get out,and/or stay out,of debt! (Try to not charge for things that you can just as easily pay for, with cash)
    5. Use cash as much as possible, rather than debit cards and/or credit cards, which allow companies to track what you are buying, and where you are buying.
    6. Get rid of grocery store ‘discount’cards –grocery stores provide this information to insurance companies.
    7. Bank at a Credit Union,or any alternative to the ‘Too-Big-To-Fail’Banks,that participated in the 2008 Banker Bailout. Don’t do business with ‘the Beast’.
    8. Invest as much as you reasonably can in precious metals –especially silver, and gold.
    9. You have the right to own a firearm,to protect yourself, and your family. Read the 2nd Amendment.
    10. Buy products that indicate “Made in America”–whenever possible. You’d be surprised to find out how many necessary, practical, every day products are still “Made in America”!
    11. Buy food at a local Farmer’s Market
    12. Start your own garden
    13. Meditate –reduce your stress!
    14. Get exercise!
    15. Read a book (here is an excellent book to read:Psychological Warfare and the New World Order:The Secret War Against the American People
    http://www.amazon.com/Psychological-Warfare-New-World-Order/dp/0932367232/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1310394551&sr=8-1 )
    16. Listen to soothing classical, jazz, ambient, or alternative music
    17. Watch ‘Freedom to Fascism’–a film by Aaron Russo (can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUpZhhbKUBo)
    18. Watch ‘Why We Fight’–a film by Eugene Jarecki(can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…r_embedded)
    19. Watch ‘Endgame’–a film by Alex Jones (can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-CrNlilZho)
    20. Below is advice from John Perkins’ book, entitled THE SECRET HISTORY OF THE AMERICAN EMPIRE (The Truth About Economic Hit Men, Jackals, And How To Change The World), pp. 322-329.
“AVOID SHOPPING AS ‘RETAIL THERAPY’(Instead, jog, meditate, read, or find some other solution).
SHOP CONSCIOUSLY – if there is something you must have, purchase items whose packaging, ingredients, and methods of production are sustainable and support life.
Write letters telling Monsanto,De Beers, ExxonMobil, Adidas, Ford, GE, Coca-Cola, WALMART, and other labor exploiters and environment destroyers why you REFUSE to purchase from them.
DOWNSIZE (your car, home, wardrobe) – everything in your life (and don’t buy what you don’t need) SUPPORT/SEND MONEY only to non-profits, radio stations, and other organizations that promote JUST causes.
VOLUNTEER your time and energy to such organizations.
ENCOURAGE stores to buy from local growers, producers, and suppliers.
Shop at your LOCAL FARMERS’ MARKET
AVOID DRINKING WATER THAT IS FLUORIDATED (only your toothpaste should have non-industrial fluoride)
INSIST that those who use your money – banks, pensions, mutual funds, companies –make socially and environmentally responsible investments.” (end quote)
    21. Better still – invest in precious metals (silver/gold).
    22. Research every company whose products or services you buy (who do THEY support financially – globalist Presidential candidates?)
    23. Research every organization to which you donate your hard-earned money
    24. Vote with your dollars!
    25. Watch ‘The Secret of Oz’– a film by William T. Still (can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swkq2E8mswI)
    26. Get prepared for when the U.S. dollar TOTALLY COLLAPSES, and loses it’s place, as the world’s sole reserve currency. The ‘globalists’(European Central Bankers, like the Rothschilds, and the Rockefellers, as well) are planning to reduce the American Middle Class to the status of the Third World poor. That is, they are going to wipe out the American ‘Middle Class’. That is why they shipped our jobs overseas. That is why they engineered the current economic ‘downturn’. That is why no bankers have gone to jail, over their financial crimes – they are immune. There is no ‘justice’ in this system. It is owned, and operated by European Central Bankers, and their Allies in London, in Frankfurt, and on Wall St.
    27. Did I mention invest in silver (and gold)?
    28. Global, non-violent, NON-COMPLIANCE is the answer, of We the Plebs, to the ‘elite’ New World Order Bullshit!
    29. Find alternatives to EVERYTHING that they’ve set up, to entrap you in THEIR system. (Become a serious ‘prepper’)
    30. What would happen if 200 MILLION AMERICANS refused to pay their taxes, in 2012? (Just a hypothetical question)

I wish to state my opinion. The situations presented here are biased. In fact, I have yet to find an unbiased account of the riots. Why? I can only assume it’s because no one understands what exactly is going on. I don’t understand the riots. I am my own person. I am not uninformed, however. The media screams it. The people proclaim it. The government denies it. Divine what meaning you can from it and run. So far, what I am pulling from it is that people are not rioting and protesting for independence, but for dependence on the government. The government to provide jobs, the government to pay health care and wages. People are using their constitutional rights and standing up for…unconstitutional ends? I heave a big sigh in confusion. We are given rights and our rights have only so much freedom in them. We complain about everything we are given. The United States of America. That phrase used to mean something. We were a country founded on moral ideals and freedom and equality. What has happened? Every next generation growing up is seeing America tear itself to pieces. When will it end? HOW will it end? I don’t know, but I care. When we pledge allegiance to the flag, what are we saying? How long ago was it since thousands of us have done that? Where do our loyalties lie? Are we a country for the people, by the people, but not all the people? Are we so blinded by our hatred for everything above us or below us that we are willing to sell each other out? Are we blinded by money? Is that little green rectangle of monetary value our new god? Why has America fallen so far? Why are we giving up and giving in letting people twist means for their own ends? What agenda are we running on and is it in the best interests for keeping the US in one piece? There are people out there who want to see the United States gone, dead, burned history, ashes to the wind. Why? For many reasons. America offers hundreds of things that other people can’t and/or don’t have. When people look to America, they see the desolation and war that tears their homelands. They see the relative peace here. They see the poverty and grey skies. Here we have equal opportunity and silver linings. Some are content. Others are not. Tyrants and warlords are losing their subjects to America, land of the free, home of the brave. A land willing to die for her rights, for Democracy and everything that is conisdered true, considered honorable, considered just, considered pure, considered lovely, considered gracious and excellent and worthy of praise! They see a land that was founded hundreds of years ago where other empires have risen and fallen in that time. People out there see “one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” In that light, what does the American people see? A political power. A military beast to be reckoned with. A land of glitz and fame, big names and flashy titles. A place where dreams can come to fruition. A melting pot with a unique history. A beacon of hope in a hopeless world. A place where I can speak out and speak up without fear of being silenced or rebuked, hassled, beat up, killed. That’s what Americans see and the list doesn’t end there, by no means. These riots in the United States are tearing us apart. If we do not, cannot, will not come to our senses and lift the blindfold from our eyes, America is doomed. I have no doubt that the United States of America will be left so weak, if we keep destroying it for our own blind purposes, that our worst enemies will crush us. The children of generations to come will sit behind desks, listen to leaders, teachers and elders about the fall of the United States. Whose children? Yours and mine. America will become textbook fodder for shifty historians and given away at minimum profit. Our memory will be worth as much as the air we breath. I can hear the snorts and see the scowls of derision directed at me. “America?” You ask. “How can this be so? We have been here for generations, hundreds of years like you yourself have said. Here are the facts, my friend! Do you not believe me now? Has not your mind been changed?” I do not believe you. I do not side with you. I do not stand with you. “Then you are my enemy, my foe who opposes me! Stand aside, you are not worth my attentions.” As random and as rambling as my discourse has been, I hope I have made a point. I have digressed far beyond what I should have, but in that digression I wish to make a point and be heard. The lesson: The government is the people risen to power. The government is for the people, by the people. Therefore, the people are able and within their Constitutional rights to change it. Government does not rule our lives, but it does guide what we do. The moral: If we do not change our behavior and mindset, we will shove the guy in front of us off the cliff and the guy behind us will return the favor before he jumps. Come what may, I will forever wave the American flag because I believe in a better America. I am proud to be an American. God bless.

  • The Occupy Movement, while unfocused does appear to have quite a bit of inertia, which could be more important than focus. The angst and intensity alone has created a lot to think about. It will be interesting to see where it goes from here.
