Obamacare Architect Says Society Would Be Better Off If People Only Lived To Age 75

Medical Care For The Elderly - Public DomainDr. Ezekiel Emanuel, brother of Rahm Emanuel, says that society would be far better off if people quit trying to live past age 75.  His new article entitled “Why I Hope To Die At 75” has the following very creepy subtitle: “An argument that society and families—and you—will be better off if nature takes its course swiftly and promptly”.  In the article, Emanuel forcefully argues that the quality of life for most people is significantly diminished past the age of 75 and that once we get to that age we should refuse any more medical care that will extend our lifespans.  This is quite chilling to read, considering the fact that this is coming from one of the key architects of Obamacare.  Of course he never uses the term “death panels” in his article, but that is obviously what Emanuel would want in a perfect world.  To Emanuel, it is inefficient to waste medical resources on those that do not have a high “quality of life”.  So he says that “75 is a pretty good age to aim to stop”.

Emanuel believes in this philosophy so much that he says that he would like to die at age 75.  Of course he has no intention of committing suicide, but if he happened to drop dead once he hits his 75th birthday he would be very happy about that.  The following is an excerpt from his new article

I am talking about how long I want to live and the kind and amount of health care I will consent to after 75. Americans seem to be obsessed with exercising, doing mental puzzles, consuming various juice and protein concoctions, sticking to strict diets, and popping vitamins and supplements, all in a valiant effort to cheat death and prolong life as long as possible. This has become so pervasive that it now defines a cultural type: what I call the American immortal.

I reject this aspiration. I think this manic desperation to endlessly extend life is misguided and potentially destructive. For many reasons, 75 is a pretty good age to aim to stop.

And so Emanuel plans to start rejecting pretty much all medical tests and treatments that will prolong his life once he reaches that age

At 75 and beyond, I will need a good reason to even visit the doctor and take any medical test or treatment, no matter how routine and painless. And that good reason is not “It will prolong your life.” I will stop getting any regular preventive tests, screenings, or interventions. I will accept only palliative—not curative—treatments if I am suffering pain or other disability.

This means colonoscopies and other cancer-screening tests are out—and before 75. If I were diagnosed with cancer now, at 57, I would probably be treated, unless the prognosis was very poor. But 65 will be my last colonoscopy. No screening for prostate cancer at any age. (When a urologist gave me a PSA test even after I said I wasn’t interested and called me with the results, I hung up before he could tell me. He ordered the test for himself, I told him, not for me.) After 75, if I develop cancer, I will refuse treatment. Similarly, no cardiac stress test. No pacemaker and certainly no implantable defibrillator. No heart-valve replacement or bypass surgery. If I develop emphysema or some similar disease that involves frequent exacerbations that would, normally, land me in the hospital, I will accept treatment to ameliorate the discomfort caused by the feeling of suffocation, but will refuse to be hauled off.

A couple of decades ago, an article like this would have sparked mass public outrage.

But today, this article hardly even gets any attention.

That is because this kind of philosophy has spread everywhere.  It is being taught at colleges and universities across the United States and it is even represented throughout the ranks of the Obama administration.

For example, Barack Obama’s top science adviser John P. Holdren believes that implanting sterilization capsules under the skin of women could be a way to reduce the size of the population and increase the quality of life for everyone…

A program of sterilizing women after their second or third child, despite the relatively greater difficulty of the operation than vasectomy, might be easier to implement than trying to sterilize men.

The development of a long-term sterilizing capsule that could be implanted under the skin and removed when pregnancy is desired opens additional possibilities for coercive fertility control. The capsule could be implanted at puberty and might be removable, with official permission, for a limited number of births.

Yes, this guy is a total nutjob.

But he also has the ear of the man occupying the White House.

And we are not just talking about a few isolated crazies like Holdren.  This agenda have been fully embraced by our politicians in Washington.

For instance, did you know that the federal government actually has an “Office of Population Affairs“?

On the website of the Office of Population Affairs, you can find information about abortion, female sterilization, male sterilization and a vast array of contraceptive choices.

U.S. taxpayers are paying for all of this, but most people don’t even know that it exists.

Of course this agenda has been moved forward by both Democrats and Republicans for decades.

And the woman that is very likely to be our next president is also a very strong proponent of this philosophy.

When Hillary Clinton accepted Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger Award back in 2009, she spoke glowingly of Sanger…

In a speech to the Planned Parenthood Federation of America Awards Gala, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that she admires “Margaret Sanger enormously, her courage, her tenacity, her vision.” Secretary Clinton said she is “really in awe of” Sanger for Sanger’s early work in Brooklyn, New York, “taking on archetypes, taking on attitudes and accusations flowing from all directions.”

But the truth is that Sanger was deeply racist and was determined to do whatever she could to help control the population growth of the poor.  The following is one of her most famous statements

“The most merciful thing that the large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.”

Hillary Clinton is also a huge supporter of the United Nations Population Fund.  If you are not familiar with the United Nations Population Fund, it is an organization that funds abortion, forced sterilization and brutal eugenics programs throughout the developing world.

Population control advocates such as Emanuel, Holdren and Clinton are fully convinced that they are doing the right thing.

They actually believe that the world will be a better place if less people are born and if the elderly do not live as long.

So what do you think?  Please share your thoughts by posting a comment below…

This is laying the ground work for Death Panels that Sarah Palin warned us about that when fully implemented will include forced euthanasia as is happening today in parts of Europe.
I should feel sad about this the but the parasite public have been voting for pro abortion candidates for 40 years. It is now their turn to be the fetus no on cares about.

    • jaxon64

The death panels establishment IS already in existence.
It was an item in the 880 billion dollar stimulus bill–and only enabled after Obamacare..Google death panels/stimulus bill and there is a quick link in one of the first articles that will take you to the exact page and line# of the stimulus bill.
It calls for the formation of a cost feasibility panel–this panel, headed by the secretary of HHS ( people like Sebulius and company) and they will decide if a person’s value and productivity to society are worth them getting certain medical procedures.
Over 75?..lifelong disability?..down syndrome…physical maladies…wheelchair bound?…and on and on–these people will be rejected under socialized Obamacare once it is fully implemented if the costs of saving their lives or having procedures done to improve their activities of daily living is above what the panels feel their worth is.
The old, disabled, the serial unemployed….they will be deemed not worth the cost.
PS: the Sanger reference is excellent Michael. People need to study American history at the turn of the century and look at what the progressive/eugenic party really stands for. The elimination of global population to 500 million or less, with themselves as overlords to the serf/laborers. Planned Parenthood, sterilizations in orphanages, human experimentation–this all went on under the progressives–for decades they have hidden under the lesser guise with liberals, but now the self proclaimed “progressives” are no longer in hiding and their century long agenda is coming to fruition.

I don’t think that there is anything particularly chilling about the article written by Dr. Emanuel. He is not calling for death panels, he has opposed physician-assisted suicide, and he admits that his elderly father is happy in spite of his age-related disability. He has merely stated the fact that if one lives to a great age, the chances of suffering from a debilitating condition are high. If Dr. Emanuel should refuse to undergo a colonscopy at age 75, that’s his business.

    • iris

He has made public comment on this issue, which is part of the incremental move towards euthanasia, imo. As the issue is forced into the public arena, society becomes desensitized to the wishes of the individual. I don’t think he was speaking for himself as much as he was subtly working at an agenda. Had he mentioned it to friends and family only, that would have remained his business.

It’s a conditioning process to introduce us to the idea of culling the old. They have to do it one step at a time. But interestingly, they’ve been trying to condition us for over 100 years and still haven’t had much success.

  • DJohn1

There was a strike in LA at a local hospital. The mortality rate during the strike went down by 10%. Dr. Emanuel might be right. It might be dangerous to your health to have the doctors treat you after you get old.
One problem is old people require different doses of medicine than young people. That is why we have specialists that treat old people. It requires a different set of knowledge.
The natural lifespan of the human species is approximately 120 years barriing interference from a number of different diseases that are likely to do you in prior to that age.
We, as a nation, have a bad attitude towards the old. How many old people are still working? How many are making the money they were in their 40s.
Our government looks the other way as a nation of businesses try to get rid of their older employees even though it is supposed to be illegal to do so. So why are they allowed to make people reapply for their jobs after they reach a certain age level?
It is because of insurance liabilities as one gets older one is more likely to get sick and cost them money

Many of us have reached a point in life, where death no longer causes us any fear. Therefore to make such a decision for yourself, I understand. But the day, you in anyway push it on others, you assume an authority that is not yours. God decides when our time is up. These are the same people who decided when human life begins, now they want to decide when it ends. The utter arrogance of such people, is just astounding.

  • worldwatchman

I’m in total favor that these three die now and not wait until age 75. Are all Democrats bottom feeders?

  • jsmith

Ah, the good doctor’s brother is that other kosha termite Rahm Emanuel who was the principal neocon adviser to Obama.. Ain’t that special!

  • Stan

Perhaps someone will happen by and grant his wish as the turd approaches 75……

The reason most people fall apart is their laziness. You have to quit working and start working out.Work is no good for the human body because it forces you to do it when you’re sick, causing the body to age rapidly.By getting enough sleep, you can do maximum exertion workouts 4-5 days a week.

Jack LaLanne lived to be 95,despite being born with a bad heart.Had he’d been born with my amazing heart(which once could reach 235 beats per minute-and hold 198 for 2 hours),he may have lived to at least 150.

In the last 3 years I lost both my parents. Both were nearly 89 when they died. Neither took many prescription medications. My dad was rarely ill and worked until a few years before he died. Then a series of small strokes somewhat affected his articulation and calculation. This frustrated and depressed him, especially when he could no longer drive. He quickly became ill and died with hospice.

My mom, who had untreated childhood scoliosis, found it impossible some days to walk, but truly she died because she didn’t want to live in pain any longer, and was terribly lonely without my dad.She died because she decided to, under hospice palliative care.

I hope like they did, I will die when it’s time. I personally don’t want my life prolonged by the standard medical practices of cutting, burning, and drugging.

I personally see no problem limiting medical treatment, in certain respects, after age 75. But I don’t want ANYONE deciding that for me, or for anyone else.

I am eligible for Medicair next year, or should I say forced to take Medicair next year. The woman who interviewed me seemed quite surprised I may not purchase a supplemental policy to cover what isn’t covered in part A & B, mainly co-pays, deductable, over 100 days in the hospital, oh, and the real kicker, what the doctor decides to charge over what medicare will pay (which she was quick to assure me RARELY happens, but “it could”).

I explained that short of a broken bone, being in an accident, sudden stroke, etc, any treatment I seek will be of the natural or holistic variety, and likely not be covered anyway. Not only that, there’s no way I will ever spend more than 100 days in a hospital; I’ll choose to leave the planet first.

Under Obamacare, benefits for medicare patients will continue to decrease as to age/available tests and procedures. Not only that, in the last few years the number of doctors who will no longer accept Medicair patients, who were/are planning on leaving their practices altogether, or have already done so, has increased dramatically due to all the new government rules and regulations. My sister and I personally spoke to more than half a dozen in the last few years while caring for our parents.

How long will live may become a moot point if we depend on the AMA to keep us going.

some multicultural scumbag told me that I am suicidal because I wont join the jew world order and lucifer.

      • seth datta

Absolutely. You should repent or prepare to die painfully.

        • JohnAmery

seth i thought we were more on the same page than not!

          • seth datta

I said we should repent. That means all of us every day. Or we can all expect to have Gods blessing withdrawn. It is not a personal attack, it is the truth. there are many out there who don’t repent and are forever lost. So don’t take it personally, it is just the truth.

          • JohnAmery

Thank you for always being true to speaking the truth. Unfortunately today, the truth is antisemitic and considered a hate crime. free speech is considered hate speech today

  • Once you understand that some of the people running around these days are off their loaf, identifying them by their loony statements is easy. Unfortunately, people may assume that a person with a title, or whose opinion is not challenged by another person with a title, is expert in things they have not studied. So we have crackpots in positions of influence and responsibility.

What is even stranger is what I and most others have gotten used to. We expect aches, pains and slowness in our sixties and beyond. I suggest you listen to Dr. Joel Wallach, who believes our genetic potential is to live to 120 or more.

And it is he who pointed out that people used to work daily, on their farms, into their 80s and older. It’s true! He has also provided us with the same nutrition we give to cats, dogs and cattle, which the medical industry does not do. I have been taking his 90 nutrients for about 4 months. My lower back pain went away, as did my acid reflux, and I feel younger and sharper. Search for “Dead Doctors Don’t Lie” and hear it from the horse’s mouth, or contact me for a CD.

Zeke can just go ahead and die any time between now and 75. The rest of the population can live as for as long as God wants us to live!

Due to the customary American ethos for everyone – regardless of socio-economic level; in wanting to be IDENTIFIED with the so-called “winners” in life; or identified with the so-called “rich and famous”; that consequently, there are plenty of people in this country – and especially those of the upper- classes – who want to be a part of – and ARE indeed a “part” of – society’s “social elites”; and thus LOVE to see themselves as being part of the contemporary chic “Jet Set”; whereby these same money-hungry/status-seeking individuals continue to maintain, out the “lusts” of their own addicted flesh, INSATIABLE appetites for more MONEY itself, and for exotic material things, and for splendid luxuries and “creature comforts”. And middle-class White America TODAY – more than any other demographic – just “loves” how the MEDIA itself gives nationally-known politicians and business leaders – all together – celebrity/pop-culture status – just as the Media likewise ascribes to entertainers and professional athletes; and thereby deliberately CREATING for “fame-hungry” America – and especially for the “youth”, a pagan idolatrous “hero-worship” cult-following MINDSET that mirrors the ancient Greco-Roman epicurean narcissistic obsession for exalting “youth and beauty”; as would be typified TODAY on contemporary television shows, such as “American Idol” itself.
