Metaphor For America: Starving 4 Pound Baby Dies In Car While Parents Eat At Golden Corral

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

Golden Corral - Photo by Park92What should be done to parents that stuffed themselves full of food at a Golden Corral while their starving four pound baby girl died in their car outside?  This actually just happened down in Florida, and it is a crime that is shocking the entire nation.  Sadly, it is also a perfect metaphor for what is happening to the country as a whole.  We have become an exceedingly selfish and self-centered society that seems to care very little that we are literally destroying the future of America.  We are stealing trillions of dollars from future generations and destroying what was once the greatest economy in the history of the world just to make ourselves a little bit more comfortable in the present.  We stand by and do nothing while our politicians flush the U.S. Constitution down the toilet and construct a Big Brother police state all around us.  We have become a nation of “sheeple” and “zombies” that are so addicted to entertainment that we can’t even see how our society is rotting and decaying in thousands of different ways all around us.  So yes, the parents that starved their precious little baby girl to death are guilty and should be punished.  But what about the millions of Americans that are doing nothing while America slowly circles the toilet on the way to oblivion?

There are very few news stories that affect me deeply on an emotional level.  But when I read about the starvation of this precious little baby girl down in Florida, I was quite upset…

A baby girl named Betsey died, having being starved to death while strapped in her car seat as her parents ate a Florida Golden Corral restaurant.

The parents of the 22-day-old baby have been charged with first-degree murder, police said on Tuesday, accusing them of neglecting the suffering infant.

Ruby Stephens, 23, and Roy Stephens, 48, of Indiana, were visiting relatives in central Florida on December 23 when they called 911 after discovering the baby was unresponsive in their car, according to Lakeland Police.

Betsey Kee Stephens was declared dead at the hospital.

‘She suffered tremendously over the 22 days that she was alive,’ Mike Link, assistant chief of Lakeland Police, told a news conference.

He called photographs of the baby ‘absolutely horrible.’

How cold-hearted do you have to be in order to do such a thing?

How could anyone neglect such a precious baby girl like that?

Inside the Golden Corral, her parents had access to an endless buffet.  But they didn’t even bring Betsey inside with them.  She sat outside strapped in her car seat as she died from starvation.

But like I said, this is such a perfect metaphor for where we are as a nation.

We have become a selfish, greedy, gluttonous nation that doesn’t care about others and that always wants more for ourselves.

For example, in 1962 only 13 percent of all Americans were obese.  But today, 35.7 percent of all Americans are obese, and it is being projected that 42 percent of all Americans could be obese by the year 2030.

And of course it goes far beyond just being physically gluttonous.  Much worse is what we are doing to future generations by our accumulation of trillions of dollars of debt.

As the chart posted below demonstrates, our national debt has increased from about 1 trillion dollars in 1980 to about 18 trillion dollars today…

National Debt 2015

This is money that we have been stealing from our babies and our grandbabies in order to make life better for us today.  It is a crime of immense magnitude, but nobody is going to prison for it.  Instead, our politicians just continue to rack up even more debt that our kids and grandkids will be expected to deal with.

At the moment, the U.S. national debt sits at a grand total of $18,043,862,247,389.05, and hardly anyone ever talks about how this will affect future generations of Americans.  That is because we are just like those parents that starved their 22-day-old baby to death.  We don’t care about the future because we are greedy pigs.

And it isn’t just government debt that we are piling up.  As this next chart shows, the total amount of debt in our nation (all government debt plus all business debt plus all individual debt) has increased from about 2.4 trillion dollars forty years ago to nearly 58 trillion dollars today…

Total Debt 2015

Just like those parents at Golden Corral, we are on a great binge too.  We are on the greatest debt binge in history, and it is because we are a heartless, foolish nation that simply does not care that we are destroying what was once the greatest economy the world had ever seen.

We have been entrusted with the future of America, and we are starving it to death.

Shame on us.

We are like that mother of a newborn daughter in Indiana that dumped her in a city park wrapped in a sweatshirt and left her to die…

Police in Indianapolis are searching for the mother who dumped the body of her newborn daughter wrapped in a college sweatshirt in a wooded area of a city park.

Officers were called to Eagle Creek Park on the outskirts of Indianapolis by a person who found the baby while hiking Sunday afternoon.

Investigators say the baby was perhaps a day old and her umbilical cord still attached.

The horrific discovery was made under a branch about 30 yards from a parking area of the park on the city’s northwest side.

We have become a “buy now, pay later” society that only cares about what will make us happy in the moment.  To most people, the future does not seem to matter whatsoever.

Just look around.  Our country is dying.  If our forefathers could see us now, they would be rolling over in their graves.  Millions of Americans shed their blood to give us the freedoms that we enjoy today, and tens of millions of Americans spent their entire lives working incredibly hard to build a future for those that would come after them.

And now we are squandering it all in just a single generation.

For the moment, most Americans are still oblivious to what is happening and are still partying.  But that will soon end.  In 2015, I believe that events are going to accelerate greatly, and the consequences of decades of incredibly foolish decisions are going to start catching up with us.  As that happens, our dancing is going to turn to mourning, and we are all going to look back and wish that we had done things differently.

The level of evil, some people are capable of. Is just beyond belief. And and all this is happening, while food, and other supplies are still available. Imagine how such people will act, when it all goes down the drain.

    • Guest

Jesus said the same thing. “Luke 23:27-31 “A large number of people followed him, including women who mourned and wailed for him. Jesus turned and said to them, ‘Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children. For the time will come when you will say, “Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!” Then they will say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills “Cover us!” For if men do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry.

    • Matty

Whoah, I don’t want to think about how bad it will be, let’s prepare ourselves, teach our kids (I have a 19 month old girl), look after the little old lonely lady next door or the single parent with a couple of kids, God will use the prepared, the educated, and the spiritually strong to look after those vulnerable that need it the most. Let’s pray that we are all in the Lords good books, literally.

    Matthew 24:
3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all[a] these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences,[b] and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

  • No hope

When they are out of options, they will seize all retirement funds in the U.S and give everyone worthless treasury bills in return while claiming they are looking out for the best interests of the people.

We are in extra innings as it is. This will all collapse within the next 2 years. The greed and evil will continue until everything finally collapses.

    • TheLulzWarrior

If inflation does not make these funds worthless.

  • Guest

Yes, greedy pigs. Its easy to point at the reprobates in the story. But the real story is the four fingers pointing back at the nation that adjudges other behavior that shortchanges tomorrow’s children quite acceptable. So routinely that it shapes our days and doesn’t make the news.

  • DesertPaine

Yes, greedy pigs. Its easy to point at the reprobates in the story. The real story is the four fingers pointing back at a nation that shortchanges tomorrow’s children routinely, daily. And finds those mores
    acceptable.

  • Wow_Who_Would_Think

What is wrong with such people that they apparently did not even know that they were supposed to feed their baby!?!?! These people seem beyond stupid.

    • rochesternative

But the fact that they had the baby in a CARSEAT and didn’t have enough SENSE to feed her? And ever listen to a crying newborn? It is enough to drive you insane…how could you do that for days?

      • Thoughtwrite

By leaving the baby in the carseat while dining in a restaurant… That is how… and which is illegal btw..

    • Cynical_Guy42

Maybe they didn’t care. They should care, but you get the idea.

  • Wow_Who_Would_Think

Hello! The Obama Administration is borrowing trillions of dollars only TO GIVE IT AWAY to foreign interests. US citizens are not getting the benefits of all this money!

  • democratsAREracist

  • kathym2

He is 48 and she is only 23? Yuck!

    • Cynical_Guy42

While I question the fact she’s young enough to be his daughter, it’s not as bad as what happened to their actual daughter.

      • Ambush Rock

No sh!t, dummy. But if someone of his age doesn’t know well enough to not impregnate and marry a near-teen, we can hardly act surprised when he lets his baby starve to death in a car while he’s indulging his sick appetites. At least now I hope he’ll be locked up and kept away from girls below half his own age.

        • Cynical_Guy42

Honestly? I think there are men who mess around with women below half their age who aren’t heartless enough to starve children.

        • TheLulzWarrior

Not kept away from other guys, unfortunately for him.

“You can call me the Heath Inspector.”

  • .

The author of this article is a metaphor for dumb.

  • Ambush Rock

Agreed, the old man and his near-teenage wife were awful to their infant. Four pounds is unbelievably cruel for a baby.

However — the story of a baby found abandoned at the Indiana state park needs one helluva correction: the journalist very accidentally makes the mistake of claiming that the infant’s mother was responsible for abandoning it, while the article also admits that nobody saw who left the baby, that the baby might not even have completed gestation yet! That baby may have been taken from a woman’s uterus by force.

This is how my sister died. She refused to get an ab0rtion, her husband refused to become a father, and he did this very thing. Except he failed in trying to hide her body well enough. Anyway, this second story of “some young woman abandoning her newborn” is 100% UNPROVEN.

    • Folgers 19

Do not call her a near-teenager. She is an adult by any account and did this on purpose. She is a murderer. What’s worse is she didn’t even have the maternal instincts of the lowliest animal to care for and feed her child. Cold-blooded reptiles do more to care for their offspring than this worthless, vile, inhuman monster.
These 2 people are inhuman monsters.

      • ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ

Nice how you focused on the woman but don’t give equal disgust at the man. Do you think it’s worse for a young idiot girl to do this than an old per vert male? Why give the baby’s father such a free pass? He was the controlling one in the relationship. The young girl is a murderer according to you but why does the father skate? Because you share the same gender? And how is it that you happen to know that *she* did this *on purpose*? Will you be able to testify to this account, or are you talking out of your well-worn azz?

        • Folgers 19

You’re assuming a great deal and it makes you look foolish. I guess calling them inhuman monsters didn’t demonstrate sufficient revulsion for you.

I did not focus on that scumbag because no one tried to absolve him of his culpability based on his age. I never absolved him of guilt or defended him in any way, never gave him a “free pass,” and I have no idea how you could take my comment that way. I also didn’t try to personally attack anyone. I think you have some personal issues to work out, because you seem to be spitting them out on strangers.

Calling the woman a “near-teen,” a term I’ve never seen used before, was an obvious attempt to excuse her for her inexcusable crime.

We are not given the facts on whether she breast fed, or not, but if she did, she was in a very intimate position to know precisely when and how much the baby ate.

What’s more, based on personal experience with my kids, I believe a normal mother (with the warmth and loving instincts you expect in a mother) tends to have a very, very close bond with her newborn, a bond the father can not really duplicate, no matter how loving and tender he may be. No matter how much I love my kids, I’ll never be mommy. A real mother would have known her baby’s condition and, I assume, would have done everything possible to keep baby safe, fed, and clean. As I said-these people are inhuman monsters.

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.”

Judgement day is coming. The wheels of God’s justice may grind slowly but they grind very, very finely. This life flashes by; eternity is forever.

  • Richard

“Inside the Golden Corral, her parents had access to an endless buffet. But they didn’t even bring Betsey inside with them.”

They didn’t even enjoy the buffet. According to the article, they ate the restaurant itself!

  • xyz

2 words: contraception and/or sterilization. Every idiot breeds, cool….

  • Folgers 19

Oh my God. This is so unimaginably awful, I’m moved to pray right now for my nation, because I can’t fathom the utter evil of the people involved who could do this. Normally, I have a thick, armored skin for this world, but seeing this story just makes me want to cry. I have children and with the hell I went through to get them here and keep them here safe and sound, and all my hopes and dreams for them, and all the special, special moments I have with them, this is just unbelievably evil.
I can accept horrible things happen to people. I can accept that people do horrible things to each other. But I can’t accept people preying on defenseless children. I can’t stand seeing what people do to their own children. That poor, poor defenseless little baby was hardly here on Earth before they killed it and that’s so awful, I don’t know what else to say. These people deserve nothing less than death and I wish we lived in a society with the guts and the strength of will to levy that punishment on them.

  • largejack

Awful, how could they do such a thing!

I wouldn’t blame the debt crisis on ordinary Americans though, that is an issue created by the banks.

    • Lindzi Graham

Tragic, the media and elite have cheapened human life to no more than something that can be carelessly thrown away in the minds of some people, a 23 year old woman with a 48 year old man, who between them don’t have the wit or will to nourish their own child. Is the answer really killing them as well? Because I couldn’t push that button or pull the trigger.

    • AHP1081

      largejack
I would and do blame it on ordinary Americans. We, as a nation, did nothing to stop the criminal government from creating this situation. We sat by and watched morality disintegrate. In fact, I would assert that we enjoyed and enjoy the fruits of the corruption and therefore should not try to point fingers at “THOSE GUYS” when we are “THOSE GUYS”.
How many of us are smart enough to know that one does not get something for nothing? But many do not even take the time to vote.
Yet I still remember the obamabot idiot shouting, ” I won’t have to worry about my electric, I won’t have to worry about gas for my car, I won’t have to worry about anything now that obama is president”.
This is the mentality of many who vote. Many others say; “It’s a waste of time to vote, I don’t like the choices, of their all the same”. My opinion is; that is just an excuse to sit on our lazy asse* and wait for someone else to do the job. If we want, and I hate to use this word, “change” we have to do it. We can change the Republican Party back to the party it was, but guess what? WE HAVE TO DO IT, WE CAN’T SIT ON OUR BUTTS AND ASSUME THE POSTURE THAT SOMEONE ELSE WILL DO IT!

I’ll get off my soapbox now
      AHP1081

  • royrdsjr

Upon further review(someone pointed this out to me)…..but apparently the couple found the baby dead/unresponsive in the parking lot BEFORE they ever had a chance to go into the Golden Corral. So they DIDN’T eat while the baby died.

  • VigilanteCaregiver

It’s more than a lot of people are just doing nothing. Those folks (myself included), the large majority are under oppression from multiple, very small groups intending to keep things collapsing. Many folks want to turn this around and restore the nation. Those same folks know they’ll be targeted and that oppression will not be punished by authorities, neighbors, or even family. This nation was originally founded to prevent this kind of oppression, but those laws have become just words to those few seeking illegitimate power and death.

  • twinkiedooter

i think this story is full of BS. No new parent would even DREAM of leavng their baby alone like that. AND ALSO no baby goes HOME from the hospital unless they weigh 5 pounds.!!!! Get real.

    • JoAnn Barrick

You evidently didn’t read the article very well ……. it said : “The parents of the 22-day-old baby have been charged with first-degree murder, police said on Tuesday, accusing them of neglecting the suffering infant.”

In that length of time a baby could very well have been starved down to the 4 lb. weight !

  • Jim Davis

And now we are squandering it all in just a single generation.

More than one generation. Go back to the alleged “greatest generation” who demanded more and more social security payments. They also spawned the abominable baby boomers who really kicked the decline into high gear.

the baby was from an affair so the “father” payed it no attention and the skank trash “mother” just needs shot in her temple…
i’m sure this pedo probably controls that worthless POS . they are both evil

      • theotherRJH

I’ll admit I was wrong on this one….but having been to Lakeland isn’t not exactly a white majority area.

  • HumbleAmerican

First, about obesity, it’s unfortunate that it’s less expensive to eat junk then to eat healthy. Second, people who work don’t have time to prepare a healthy meal or the money to buy healthy foods. I bet most households have snack foods and processed foods. Let’s not forget the sales of Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. You don’t need to eat that much food per day, unless you are very physical.

  • HumbleAmerican

Third, please don’t point the finger at every person in America. You need to be aware that there are bad people in this world, no matter how good or bad the government is. Bad people exist, and will always exist, unless this god of the universe decides to become relevant, which I doubt is going to happen. The God of this world isn’t who everyone thinks it is.

  • HumbleAmerican

Fifth, prison needs to become a REAL bad place. So the bad people think twice before doing evil things. Prison should be shackles and chains for 24 hours so people like this can rot away. I’m talking about people who commit murder and molest children. Thieves, drugs, and others should just be rehabilitated.

COMMENT made by a reader of the article:

I knew Meyer. Was in his lab in 1989. Was close friends until his death.
You have little idea about what it takes to “bring new technology into the world.”

Meyer died trying. The land on Seed Road was already owned.

I chased this paper down around 1993. It otherwise NEVER would have seen the light of day.

“Natural water” is “pre-charged” as it were, with static electricity, lightening, photos from the sun; from this is where comes THE FORCES helping electrical polarization.

Obamacare Architect Jonathan Gruber Tells Honest Truth About Liberalism in Nation’s Capital

    DECEMBER 17, 2014 AFP 4 COMMENTS

    By Patrick J. Buchanan —

Brought before a House inquisition, MIT professor and Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber burbled a recantation of his beliefs about how that triumph of liberalism had been achieved.

Yet, something needs to be said in defense of Gruber.

For while he groveled and confessed to the sin of arrogance, what this Ivy League con artist boasted about rings true.

Here, Gruber explained, is how we got Obamacare passed:

I agree that false teaching and misinterpretation have done a lot of damage, and started way back, also referenced in Pauline epistles, and then the Greek love of allegory and figurative thinking (along with their hatred of Jews) introduced Replacement Theology around 200 A.D., adopted by the Catholic fathers, and is still going strong today, thanks to the fact that we’re very much based on Augustine’s theology, who got so many ideas from Plato. We also have new false teachings and misinterpretations added to the Gnosticism, Dualism, and influences of Eastern religion. Christians follow their leaders too much, compared to following Jesus and reading and questioning for themselves. That said, I think there are still many pastors and teachers out there who are guided by the Holy Spirit, who do care for their congregations and bring a balanced yet Biblical approach. Those congregations are getting harder to find, though, for sure.
