It Is Time To Kick Prepping Into Overdrive, Because This Stock Market Crash Is Just The Beginning

Speedometer - Public DomainIf you have not been preparing for what is coming, you need to get off your sofa and you need to start prepping right now.  Just remember what happened back in 2008.  That crisis took most people totally by surprise.  Millions of Americans lost their jobs, and because most of them were living paycheck to paycheck, all of a sudden most of them couldn’t pay the rent or the mortgage either.  Large numbers of families that were once living a comfortable middle class lifestyle suddenly found themselves destitute.  Well, this coming crisis is going to be even worse by the time it is all said and done, and it is not just going to be economic in nature.  Over the past two trading days, the Dow has gone down more than a thousand points.  The shaking that so many have warned about has begun.  As this shaking plays out, you and your family will need cash, food, supplies and a whole bunch of other things.  If you do not already have everything prepared, then you need to kick your prepping into overdrive because we are on a very compressed time frame now.

But don’t just take my word for it.  A top adviser to former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown named Damian McBride is saying the same thing

A former adviser to Gordon Brown has urged people to stock up on canned goods and bottled water as stock markets around the world slide.

And he didn’t just speak in generalities.  According to an article in one of the most important newspapers in the UK, McBride is urging his fellow citizens to do some very specific things…

“Advice on the looming crash, No.1: get hard cash in a safe place now; don’t assume banks & cashpoints will be open, or bank cards will work,” he tweeted.

“Crash advice No.2: do you have enough bottled water, tinned goods & other essentials at home to live a month indoors? If not, get shopping.

“Crash advice No.3: agree a rally point with your loved ones in case transport and communication gets cut off; somewhere you can all head to.”

All of that is great advice.

But I wonder why he is so concerned about people being able to live a month indoors.  Does he know something that the rest of us do not?

Others are issuing similar ominous warnings.  The following is an excerpt from a recent article by Chuck Baldwin that seemed to be written with an unusual sense of urgency…

I suggest you have a supply of food and water to last at least three months. Many survival experts insist that a six-month supply is the minimum. Personally, I can live a long time on tuna fish or peanut butter. You can purchase MREs from a variety of sources, as well as camp-style packaged food from many sporting goods stores. Of course, bottled water is available everywhere during normal times. Stock up! Distilled water will store longer than spring water. Plus, I suggest you have some water purification tablets or a Katadyn water filter on hand. And, if you are able, prepare to grow your own food. In cold weather climates such as we have here in Montana, people quickly learn how to construct and utilize greenhouses in which to grow food. Canning food is another very helpful hedge against deprivation. If your parents and grandparents lived through the Great Depression as mine did, this was standard operating procedure.

Get a generator. Keep a supply of fuel on hand. Stay stocked up on batteries, candles, portable lights, first aid supplies, and toiletries–especially toilet paper and toothpaste. I also suggest you never run out of lighters or matches. You never know when you’ll need to build a fire. If you live in a cold weather climate, you probably already have some sort of wood stove or fireplace.

You can read the rest of that outstanding article right here.

Similar sentiments were expressed in a recent piece by prepper extraordinaire Daisy Luther

  • Take your money out of the bank ASAP.  If you still keep your money in the bank, go there and remove as much as you can while leaving in enough to pay your bills. Although it wasn’t a market collapse in Greece recently, the banks did close and limit ATM withdrawals.  People went for quite some time without being able to access their money, but were able to have a sense of normalcy by transferring money online to pay bills or using their debit cards to make purchases.  Get your cash out. You don’t want to be at the mercy of the banks.
  • Stock up on supplies.  Make sure you are prepped. If you’re behind on your preparedness efforts and need to do this quickly, you can order buckets of emergency food just to have some on hand. (Learn how to build an emergency food supply using freeze dried food HERE) Hit the grocery store or wholesale club and stock up there, too, on  your way home.
  • Load up on fuel.  Fill up your gas tank and fill your extra cans also. Quite often, fuel prices skyrocket in the wake of a market crash.
  • Be prepared for the potential of civil unrest. If the banks put a limit on withdrawals (or close like they did in Greece) you can look for some panic to occur. If the stores dramatically increase prices or close..more panic. Be armed and be prepared to stay safely at home. (Although this article was written during the Ferguson race riots, civil unrest follows a similar pattern regardless of the cause.)
  • Be prepared for the possibility of being unable to pay your bills. If things really go downhill, the middle class and those who are the working poor will be the most strongly affected, as they have been in Greece during that country’s ongoing financial crisis.  This article talks about surviving if you are unable to pay all of your bills.

Every family is facing a different set of circumstances, so “prepping” is not going to look the same for everyone.  What may make sense for you may not make sense for me.  But the truth is that we all need to get prepared for what is coming, because time is running out.

As I have discussed repeatedly, I have more of a sense of urgency about the last six months of 2015 than I have ever had about any other other specific period of time.  That is why the book that I recently co-authored with survivalist expert Barbara Fix is entitled “Get Prepared NOW“.  The word “NOW” is in larger print than everything else on the front cover because I really wanted to emphasize the urgency of what we are facing.

If you think that you can wait until next year to start getting prepared, you are going to be too late.

This stock market crash is just the beginning.  Next month we are witnessing a convergence of events that is pretty much unprecedented.  If you would like to learn more, here are some places to get started…

The relative stability of the past few years has lulled millions of Americans into a state of complacency.

And even our politicians are displaying a stunning level of complacency.  For example, even though our nation is rapidly going down the toilet, Barack Obama has played more than 1,100 hours of golf while he has been in the White House.

It is time for all of us to awaken from our slumber, because life in America is about to dramatically change.

Do you have some specific tips to share with those that are trying to get prepared for what is coming?  Please feel free to join the discussion by posting a comment below…

  • G21

    I thought I was done prepping – until Friday and today.
    Just went out for more.

  • Razorback

    Michael, Is it really smart to take most of our cash out of the bank? I don’t trust banks but only willing to store a certain amount of cash at home.

    • G21

      I know how you feel. I hesitated to take much cash out of the bank, then I saw what happened in Greece (€60 ATM limit/day).
      So I compromised. I withdraw what I don’t need to cover bills/expenses.
      I have an inexpensive gun safe at home. It’s one of the thin-walled safes, built more like a locker, but its locking mechanism is one of those three-point locks, pretty secure. It also has two holes in the back so it can be screwed to studs in the wall from inside the safe.
      Overall it’s fairly secure, except it’s not fireproof. I imagine a fire would pretty much destroy whatever’s inside.
      I think it would take a thief a long time to tear that safe open, and he’d make a heck of a racket in the process.
      I feel a lot better having a pretty significant amount of cash out of the bank and under my direct control.

    • Jim Davis

      You can send your cash to me. I’ll invest it in something safe like lottery tickets.

  • ProclaimingGodsTruth

    Smart advice but consider one thing… This crash may be so inclusive and widespread this time that having cash will mean nothing. Stores closed, no gas, no water, no banks, no nothing. Our enemies are waiting at the gates and once there is crack in our walls or crumbling and weakened gates they will come in and try and destroy.
    It’s faith and trust in the Lord that will see you through.

    • Paul F

    • Wendy Webb

      Cash may be acceptable if banking systems fail and cards no longer work. Perhaps for a day or two you may be able to buy whatever is available with cash.

  • rmc9

    …I wonder if pres. obeyme is going to ‘play his fiddle’ while America burns…

  • Jim Davis

    It would be ironic if the crash ends in August and the recovery begins in the much-feared September.

    • G21

      Wouldn’t it though? Of course, once the End of the Age comes, nothing can stop it, and it will be unimaginably harsh, with 1/4 of earth’s population dying.

      The problem is, we don’t know if this current crash is part of it or not.

    • Mike

      Like the last artificial recovery?

      • Jim Davis

        recovery being a state that’s not all out collapse

      • Jim Davis

        What I anticipated might happen is indeed happening. It is a phony recovery, yes. But there will be no collapse of civilization in September.

  • GetReal4U2

    above all…get right with Jesus…make him your Lord and Savior…you never know…he might just save you from your “hour of trial”…get ready…September approaches quickly…nothing wrong with being physically and spiritually prepared for sure…

      Yes! What good would surviving for a few months, only to be separated from God for all eternity, be worth? Jesus, God incarnate, died on purpose to save sinners. Put your hope and trust in Him, He is faithful, so no matter what happens, with Him, the best is yet to come.

  • Prepper1

    Yes do prep, after today black Monday as a few are calling it I would hope wake a few folks up! Me I only keep enough in bank to pay bills , the rest I keep at home in a safe place . I’m adding more preps to my food storage every few days . Having to pay for daughter’s wedding in September has me on nerves because I’m ( in my view wasting it away ) where I could have used this large amount for other preps. I hope this goes a little past oct so I can be more prepared. Just hope daughter is safe on her honeymoon

    • piccadillybabe

      Perhaps, she should plan her wedding for another time. If things go from bad to worse, the wedding could put you both in harms way. Not a selfish move but a smart one. Not a good time for starting a family. Think of the children and what they may have to deal with.

  • K

    If for some reason you have not prepped. I would suggest canned goods. Long term survival food is not necessary, if you think this is it. Do not buy large amounts in any one store. Use cash, if at all possible. Do not use the store discount card. You really do not want anyone to know, just what, and how much you bought.

  • Itanimullikcuf

    Politicians, multi-billionaires and celebrities don’t care. They packed their belongings quite time before. Just MSM plays happy tune just like Orchestra on Titanic.

  • Good article. There is however one more protocol that should be observed before mass hysteria breaks loose. For further details:

  • Jeff

    Prepping won’t save us. Sorry. And the structural composition of society, while not nearly what it should be, shows no indication of imminent collapse. The stock market? It is completely gamed, as anyone who knows how it really works will tell you. So gyrations in that arena indicate virtually nothing. Nothing, that is, unless it hits the derivatives market, which was the culprit for the 2008 meltdown. Then all the furies of hell will be loosened on the world. And that will be the end of global capitalism. Having six months’ of canned tuna and dehydrated milk won’t really be that great after an asteroid like that hits.

    Btw, all this September 2015 talk really is magical thinking. And that serves nobody but fear-mongers.

  • JB

    Being prepared spiritually is the absolute most important
    thing. You could spend so much time,
    money and effort on physical prepping that it becomes your “god.” The Lord feels so strongly about it, His
    first command is “you shall have no other gods before me.” He is a jealous God – He requires your full
    devotion and trust (faith) to be in Him.
    Thus, if you are a Christian, He may decide to knock your “god” down as
    a form of trial to instruct you to rely on Him.
    You can stock up and prep (and build bigger and bigger barn houses) all
    you want, but at any time “thief can break in and steal” – or the government
    can confiscate it – or a natural disaster could occur, etc., etc., etc. But if you don’t have your spiritual house in
    order and your life is demanded of you tomorrow…

    I’m not saying it isn’t wise to make some preparations, but
    recognize that only God exists in the future;
    none of us truly knows what’s going to happen tomorrow. He may decide to kick the can up the road. ALL nations are in rebellion against the Lord
    and His anointed One (Jesus); China
    aborts more babies than the US. North
    Korea and ISIS are more guilty of crimes against humanity. One day the Lord will draw all nations to
    judgment at Armaggedon.

    I feel so strongly about this because I have been reading
    blogs like this for over a decade and made some very foolish decisions in the
    past. DO NOT put all of your eggs in 1
    basket. If only God exists in the future
    and you don’t know what will truly happen, then it makes sense to
    diversify. I took money out of
    retirement plans and put it into gold and silver and got burned really bad over
    the last 15 years because of it; even
    though there were some (very large) downs in the market, overall it has climbed
    tremendously and I lost a ton. God doesn’t
    not give us a spirit of fear. Leave room
    for Him. There is a lot of speculation
    and a lot of talking heads on this subject;
    pray and ask the Lord to give you wisdom as to what you should do, but
    also spend time in His Word so that you are listening to Him. You’re going to get “tossed by the waves” if
    you get too fearful and aren’t listening to Him through His Word. This is advise for true Christians – if you’re
    unsaved, you’ve got a much bigger problem.

    • Sandbagger

      Gluttony is a sin. Hoarding and hoarding and never having “enough” is a form of gluttony. That alone will cause a Christian pause, right? :O

      For those with their mind on what’s truly important: Don’t love your lives unto death. In other words, keeping your mind on the passing (this world) and ignoring eternity.

      • Mike

        A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it. Proverbs 22:3. Was Joseph a hoarder in Egypt?

        • JB

          There’s wisdom in being prepared, that’s not my point. However, don’t be so all consumed by it that
          it superceedes your time and consultation with your Lord. Make sure your plans are established by
          Him. “The horse is prepared against the
          day of battle: but safety is of the LORD”
          (Proverbs 35:31). Saul got nervous and
          fearful and acted hastily (and consulted a medium) without waiting on the Lord
          to respond and lost his life because of it.
          Don’t place faith in your ability to prepare – put your faith and trust
          in the Lord above all things. That goes
          all the way back to the Garden.

          I suppose what Christians also need to be wary of is avoiding
          the smug, self-righteous (“get what you deserve” attitude) that you see among
          some preppers. God gives grace to the
          humble, but opposes the proud.

          • iris

            Very true, thanks!

  • Sandbagger

    Whatever you do, don’t do it on credit. Remember the debtor is slave to the lender. You don’t want to have a house full of useless “preps” just to discover the debtor’s prisons have been re-instituted and you are going there without your “preps” because you can’t pay your bill…either due to loss of income or else hyperinflation eating up your paycheck.

    By pay, I mean the balance in total; upon demand by the card company.

    Look at your credit card’s terms. They can (and will) call in the total due in the event of a massive banking/credit crisis.

    Pay in cash, or go without. Don’t let fear cause you to make rash decisions you will regret.

  • iris

    Thank you, VC!

  • Mistanick

    We had an earthquake in California about 25 years ago that knocked out electricity and gas supplies for about 3 weeks. Groceries were accepting cash only but the shelves cleared out in a few days. There was no panic though, everyone was in the same boat, rich and poor. We cooked up a bunch of spagetti and sauce and other meals on our camp stove and went to town to give it away. We shared all we had and God blessed us. We volunteered at a center in town and didn’t think much of our own lack of bathing or comforts. You can prep for a certain amount of this, but mostly, you react by giving it away, food, goods, and love.

    The urge to “prep” is fine, but the increasing tone of cries to get ready have taken on a panic mentality of late that is ugly. Feeding this panic mentality is the opposite of faith and is selfish, greedy, and lacks all manner of generosity. Ya, ya, with provisions, much more can be given away, but in feeding the panic mentality, I wonder if our urge to care for ourselves will crowd out generosity to give to those who didn’t prep.

    The earth could open up and swallow us all at any moment, lightening could strike, or a jet could crash down on our car as happened last weekend in England to a dozen or so poor souls.

    Oh yes, the market crash. The economics of the markets: it must come down so it can go up again. The market is gamed by large investors and their brokers and by auto sell computer programs.

    • iris

      Excellent comment, thank you!

    • Mike

      Well, if you do not prepare and something does happen that requires you to use the resources you acquired (or didn’t in your case), then you can feed yourself and others. Remember Joseph in Egypt?

    • G21

      You assume that preppers think only of themselves and give nothing to help the poor.
      Why is that?

    • “earth could open up and swallow us all at any moment”
      Scientists have said that part of California WILL sink. I would be very uncomfortable living in CA after hearing what they said.

  • DJohn1

    I still think the government will contain this one.
    The next one will be too big to contain.
    So it will be sometime in the middle of September. Beware the Ides of September?
    I do think some economic advisers need to be fired promptly.
    Dr. Paul has said many times this is coming.
    I do not doubt him.
    But no amount of preparation is going to do much if you are right.
    Only people that have access to a lot of resources can do something in the way of preparing for this one.
    As long as the government acts with laws that promote a welfare state instead of a working population nothing will change. Financial disaster for this country is the correction of a whole host of sins.
    On another note, many religions in this country tout preparation and have been doing so for years. So many people actually have stored food for times like this.
    The government has executive(dictator) orders to confiscate what people have stored. SO if you do store a lot of canned goods and other things might keep it real quiet. Other wise the thieves will be knocking at your door.
    The idea is the the story of the grasshopper and the ant revised.
    The grasshopper kills the ant and steals all the food he has stored for the winter.

    • GetReal4U2

      good point…

  • Paul F

    Prepping is fine–and at times very well needed–but faith in YESHUA/JESUS alone is the most important truth there is. All the food, ammo, water, medicine in the world won’t save you for what’s coming: Only YESHUA/JESUS CHRIST can and will–if you accept HIM into your heart as your LORD and PERSONAL SAVIOR. I beg those who haven’t to do so as quickly as possible before its too late (Romans Ch 10)

    • geo .

      The book of James says that faith without works is dead. Noah had to make provision for the ark food ect. Joseph was told to make provision during the 7 good years to bring him through the 7 bad years. we were given 7 years notice from 911 to make preparation (see The Harbinger). and (Blood moon Tetrads) also see what my financial counselor advises in revelation 3:18.

      • Clay Griffin

        Paul F. didn’t advise people not to prep. He simply stated the obvious – i.e. that prepping without Jesus’ help isn’t going to save you for long. Because your food, in time of a very severe famine, could eventually run out. Noah and Joseph trusted in God – that’s why they obeyed Him by preparing for a storm when there was no evidence of trouble.

    Chuck Baldwin? Chuck Baldwin! He suggested that you stock up on tuna? Haze’t he read read about Fucashima? And peanut butter? The commercial brands are considered one of the worst snakes out there. Since it is mixed with a lot of preserves. Well it is better than starving to death.

    • Steve Sweet

      I love Chuck Baldwin, but I agree! No see food at all, and Organic Peanut Butter!

    • K

      Seafood is helpful, in varying your diet. Might I suggest Bar Harbor Chowders and bisques. Avoid the salmon, but all else is Atlantic caught. In an area, still fairly clean.

  • You will not receive any payments on your book from Amazon Kindle for at least 60 days from the day of the sale; well after this crash you seem certain of will have occurred (i.e., if what you say is true, you won’t be receiving those payments anyway). So why not make it free?

  • Barry Goldwater

    One thing I would recommend is getting yourself out of debt. I know many Americans have waded into the credit game buying today and paying later. It’s become a way of life. When this system goes belly up you don’t want to be caught owing any money if it can be prevented. Also the further away from the cities the better off you will be. Cities will become uncontrollable bastions of mass violence and the Police will be helpless to do anything and some of them will join the rioters.
    Note: gasoline does not store well unless Sta – Bil is used. This product can keep gasoline fresh for as long as 12 months when used correctly.

    2 You shall burn with fire
    one-third in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are finished;
    then you shall take one-third and strike around it with the sword, and
    one-third you shall scatter in the wind: I will draw out a sword after them. 3 You shall also take a small number of them and
    bind them in the edge of your garment. 4 Then take some of them again and throw them into
    the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire. From there a fire will go out
    into all the house of Israel (AMERICA).

    5 “Thus says the
    Lord God: ‘This is Jerusalem (AMERICA); I have set her in the midst
    of the nations and the countries all around her. 6 She has rebelled against My judgments by doing
    wickedness more than the nations, and against My statutes more than the
    countries that are all around her; for they have refused My judgments,
    and they have not walked in My statutes.’ 7 Therefore
    thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have multiplied disobedience
    more than the nations that are all around you, have not walked in My
    statutes nor kept My judgments, nor even done[a] according to the judgments of the nations
    that are all around you’— 8 therefore
    thus says the Lord God: ‘Indeed I, even I, am
    against you and will execute judgments in your midst in the sight of the
    nations. 9 And I will do among
    you what I have never done, and the like of which I will never do again,
    because of all your abominations. 10 Therefore
    fathers shall eat their sons in your midst, and sons shall eat their
    fathers; and I will execute judgments among you, and all of you who remain I
    will scatter to all the winds.

    11 ‘Therefore, as
    I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘surely, because you have
    defiled My sanctuary with all your detestable things and with all your
    abominations, therefore I will also diminish you; My eye will not spare,
    nor will I have any pity. 12 One-third
    of you shall die of the pestilence, and be consumed with famine in your midst;
    and one-third shall fall by the sword all around you; and I will scatter
    another third to all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

    13 ‘Thus shall My
    anger be spent, and I will cause My fury to rest upon them, and I will be
    avenged; and they shall know that I, the Lord, have
    spoken it in My zeal, when I have spent My fury upon them. 14 Moreover I will make you a waste and a reproach
    among the nations that are all around you, in the sight of all who pass

    15 ‘So it[b] shall be a reproach, a taunt, a lesson, and
    an astonishment to the nations that are all around you, when I execute
    judgments among you in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I, the Lord, have spoken. 16 When
    I send against them the terrible arrows of famine which shall be for
    destruction, which I will send to destroy you, I will increase the famine upon
    you and cut off your supply of bread. 17 So
    I will send against you famine and wild beasts, and they will bereave you.
    Pestilence and blood shall pass through you, and I will bring the sword against
    you. I, the Lord, have spoken.’”

    Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 2 “And
    you, son of man, thus says the Lord God to the land
    of Israel (AMERICA):

    ‘An end! The end has come upon the four corners
    of the land.

    3 Now the end has
    come upon you,

    And I will send My anger against you;

    I will judge you according to your ways,

    And I will repay you for all your abominations.

    4 My eye will not spare

    Nor will I have pity;

    But I will repay your ways,

    And your abominations will be in your midst;

    Then you shall know that I am the Lord!’

    5 “Thus
    says the Lord God:

    ‘A disaster, a singular disaster;

    Behold, it has come!

    6 An end
    has come,

    The end has come;

    It has dawned for you;

    Behold, it has come!

    7 Doom has come to you,
    you who dwell in the land;

    The time has come,

    A day of trouble is near,

    And not of rejoicing in the mountains.

    8 Now upon you I will
    soon pour out My fury,

    And spend My anger upon you;

    I will judge you according to your ways,

    And I will repay you for all your abominations.

    9 ‘My eye
    will not spare,

    Nor will I have pity;

    I will repay you according to your ways,

    And your abominations will be in your midst.

    Then you shall know that I am the Lord who strikes.

    10 ‘Behold,
    the day!

    Behold, it has come!

    Doom has gone out;

    The rod has blossomed,

    Pride has budded.

    11 Violence has risen
    up into a rod of wickedness;

    None of them shall remain,

    None of their multitude,

    None of them;

    Nor shall there be wailing for them.

    12 The time has come,

    The day draws near.

    ‘Let not the buyer rejoice,

    Nor the seller mourn,

    For wrath is on their whole multitude.

    13 For the seller shall
    not return to what has been sold,

    Though he may still be alive;

    For the vision concerns the whole multitude,

    And it shall not turn back;

    No one will strengthen himself

    Who lives in iniquity.

    14 ‘They
    have blown the trumpet and made everyone ready,

    But no one goes to battle;

    For My wrath is on all their multitude.

    15 The sword is

    And the pestilence and famine within.

    Whoever is in the field

    Will die by the sword;

    And whoever is in the city,

    Famine and pestilence will devour him.

    16 ‘Those
    who survive will escape and be on the mountains

    Like doves of the valleys,

    All of them mourning,

    Each for his iniquity.

    17 Every hand will be

    And every knee will be as weak as water.

    18 They will also be
    girded with sackcloth;

    Horror will cover them;

    Shame will be on every face,

    Baldness on all their heads.

    19 ‘They
    will throw their silver into the streets,

    And their gold will be like refuse;

    Their silver and their gold will not be able to deliver them

    In the day of the wrath of the Lord;

    They will not satisfy their souls,

    Nor fill their stomachs,

    Because it became their stumbling block of iniquity.

    20 ‘As
    for the beauty of his ornaments,

    He set it in majesty;

    But they made from it

    The images of their abominations—

    Their detestable things;

    Therefore I have made it

    Like refuse to them.

    21 I will give it as

    Into the hands of strangers,

    And to the wicked of the earth as spoil;

    And they shall defile it.

    22 I will turn My face
    from them,

    And they will defile My secret place;

    For robbers shall enter it and defile it.

    23 ‘Make
    a chain,

    For the land is filled with crimes of blood,

    And the city is full of violence.

    24 Therefore I will
    bring the worst of the Gentiles,

    And they will possess their houses;

    I will cause the pomp of the strong to cease,

    And their holy places shall be defiled.

    25 Destruction comes;

    They will seek peace, but there shall be none.

    26 Disaster will come
    upon disaster,

    And rumor will be upon rumor.

    Then they will seek a vision from a prophet;

    But the law will perish from the priest,

    And counsel from the elders.

    27 ‘The
    king will mourn,

    The prince will be clothed with desolation,

    And the hands of the common people will tremble.

    I will do to them according to their way,

    And according to what they deserve I will judge them;

    Then they shall know that I am the Lord!’” EZEKEIL CHAPTER 7

    12 The word of the Lord came again to me, saying: 13 “Son
    of man, when a land sins against Me by persistent unfaithfulness, I will
    stretch out My hand against it; I will cut off its supply of bread, send famine
    on it, and cut off man and beast from it. 14 Even
    if these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver
    only themselves by their righteousness,” says the Lord God.

    15 “If I cause wild
    beasts to pass through the land, and they empty it, and make it so desolate
    that no man may pass through because of the beasts, 16 even though these three men were in
    it, as I live,” says the Lord God, “they would
    deliver neither sons nor daughters; only they would be delivered, and the land
    would be desolate.

    17 “Or if I
    bring a sword on that land, and say, ‘Sword, go through the land,’ and I cut
    off man and beast from it, 18 even
    though these three men were in it, as I live,” says the
    Lord God, “they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, but only they
    themselves would be delivered.

    19 “Or if I
    send a pestilence into that land and pour out My fury on it in blood, and cut
    off from it man and beast, 20 even
    though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live,” says
    the Lord God, “they would deliver neither son nor daughter; they would deliver only
    themselves by their righteousness.”

    21 For thus says the
    Lord God: “How much more it shall be when I send My four severe judgments on
    Jerusalem (AMERICA)—the sword and famine and wild beasts and pestilence—to cut
    off man and beast from it? 22 Yet
    behold, there shall be left in it a remnant who will be brought out, both
    sons and daughters; surely they will come out to you, and you will see their
    ways and their doings. Then you will be comforted concerning the disaster that
    I have brought upon Jerusalem, all that I have brought upon it. 23 And they will comfort you, when you see their
    ways and their doings; and you shall know that I have done nothing without
    cause that I have done in it,” says the Lord God. EZEKIEL 14:12-23

    A President of the United States of America that takes his job seriously would have to work almost 24/7 to make it work. If the current president is playing golf a lot, that would proof to me that he is not the one who makes the real decisions.

    “Again and again the Lord has instructed that our people are to take their families away from the cities, into the country, where they can raise their own provisions, for in the future the problem of buying and selling will be a very serious one. We should now begin to heed the instruction given us over and over again: GET OUT OF THE CITIES into rural districts, where the houses are not crowded closely together, and where you will be free from the interference of enemies.”–2SM 141 (1904). {LDE 99.4} This was written by Ellen G.
