Is Pokemon Go Evil, Dangerous Or Demonic?

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

Pokemon - Photo by SeskfabregaOne week ago, a game called Pokemon Go was launched, and over the last seven days it has become an international phenomenon.  It is the first mass market video game to successfully blend the real world and the digital world together in a way that the public truly embraces, and it is making headlines all over the planet.  At this point it has almost as many daily active users as Twitter does, and Nintendo’s stock price is going crazy as a result.  On Monday it shot up 25 percent, and on Tuesday it surged another 13 percent.  In other words, Nintendo is now worth billions of dollars more than it used to be.  But is there a dark side to Pokemon Go?  Is it potentially evil, dangerous or demonic?

Many people would dismiss such questions as complete nonsense.  Unlike most video games, Pokemon Go actually requires people to leave their homes, get some exercise and visit real places.  This type of game is being called “augmented reality”, and it is bringing people together in new and interesting ways.  In fact, the Washington Post is reporting that a lot of people are actually ending up in church as they hunt Pokemon creatures.

But not everything is unicorns and lollipops with this new game.  Over the past week, we have seen people commit robberies at Pokemon Go locations, and there are very serious data security concerns.  The following comes from Ricky Scaparo

New reports are now coming in of the practical dangers of this game such as a recent report out of Baltimore where Multiple people were robbed playing the “Pokemon Go” game last week, according to the Baltimore County Police Department. And then there is personal security concerns that have surfaced as a new report indicated that players that have logged into the game using their Google account may have given the app permission to go through all of their Google data, including emails and website history.

But much more alarming to many is the content of the game itself.  As Mena Lee Grebin has pointed out, “Pokemon” actually comes from two Japanese words that mean “Pocket Monster”…

Meaning of the word Pokémon: a contraction of two Japanese words, “Poketto” and “Monsut,” meaning “Pocket Monster

Definition of Monster: a creature that is typically large, ugly, and frightening. Synonyms – rascal, beast, demon, brute, imp, devil.

Even the Washington Post admits that there are creatures such as “a flaming demon” in Pokemon Go.  As players progress through the game, they collect these monsters and demons, train them, and have them fight against Pokemon owned by others.  Here is more from Ricky Scaparo

The Pokemon are supposed to be “monsters” that have special powers and share the world with humans. The idea of the game is to have the children learn how to collect as many Pokemon as possible, train them, and use them against other people’s Pokemon by invoking the various abilities of each Pokemon creature. Pokemon can evolve and pass through various levels, 100 being the highest. Colored energy cards are sometimes used to aid the Pokemon.

But “it’s just a game” right?

Maybe.

Maybe not.

Everything that we do, whether it is a “game” or not, trains us or conditions us in various ways.  Often seeing something in a movie or coming across something in a video game can spark an interest or open a door into something deeper.  For instance, occult organizations admit that one of their best recruiting tools is Harry Potter.  After reading the books or watching the movies, many have found themselves curious about the occult world.

Realizing that, just consider some of the things that go on in the world of Pokemon.  The following comes from the Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry

Is Pokemon dangerous?  Potentially, yes it is.  It conditions the child who plays the game into accepting occult and evolutionary principles.  Haunter can hypnotize, eat a person’s dreams, and drain their energy.  Abra reads minds.  Kadabra emits negative energy that harms others.  Gastly induces sleep. Gengar laughs at peoples’ fright.  Nidoran uses poison.  The Psychic type of Pokemon are among the strongest in the game.  Charmander, Haunter, Ivysaur, Kadabra, and many more evolve.  The children are taught to use these creatures to do their will by invoking colored energy cards, fights, and commands. Much of it is reminiscent of occult and eastern mysticism.

But it goes even farther than that.  According to occult expert Bill Schnoebelen, Pokemon players engage in all sorts of activities that would be considered deeply occult if they were done in real life…

Like many video games, Pokémon is riddled with occult concepts. Concepts like “magical stones”, teleportation, ghosts, all-seeing eye, psychic power and using spirits to achieve results in the real world are all givens in this game realm. All of this is contrary to scripture. The Pokémon games and comics, etc. teach what I have called a magic worldview that is completely opposed to the Bible.

The Magic Worldview is the idea, common to all occult belief systems, that there is not really any sovereign Deity over creation. Instead, creation is ruled by a series of occult laws. In a sense, the universe is like a cosmic vending machine. As long as you put in the right coin (ritual or spell) you automatically achieve the desired result.

Particularly disturbing is the concept that children are being trained to “capture” demon-like creatures, train and control them, and use them against others.  Many believe this very closely mirrors what many high-level occultists attempt to do with real demons.  Here is more from Bill Schnoebelen

The magician works from within a specially prepared magic circle which supposedly protects him from the demon as long as he stays inside it. He uses special magickal weapons like a wand, staff or sword to threaten the demon and make it do his or her bidding. Once the ritual is successful, supposedly the demon belongs to the magician to do his or her bidding -as long as the stipulations of their contract are kept by sorcerer. Often the demon will grant the magician occult powers or give him or her special talismans to control others. This is a large part of high magick.

Now, there is barely a dime’s worth of difference between this and what goes on in the “ make-believe” Pokémon universe!

As the Pokemon Go craze continues to sweep the nation, it is inevitable that this game will be hotly debated in Christian circles.

And just like with the Harry Potter books and movies, many will become extremely upset at the suggestion that there might actually be something wrong with Pokemon Go.

But we all have a responsibility to evaluate what we are feeding into our minds, and this is especially true if you are a parent of young children.

In the end, everyone will do what they think is best for themselves, but as for me and my house we will definitely be staying far away from Pokemon Go.

  • Mondobeyondo

I’ve been looking all over town for this Pokemon character called “Job”. Just haven’t been able to catch that one…

    • James

Get out of flyover country, get a degree in CS, and go to SF or NYC

      • RageHard84

Eh…CA isn’t the best place to look.

        • James

Tech jobs are overflowing in SF, LA, and SoCal.
Not sure where you are looking.

          • RageHard84

I guess things have changed. Last time I checked the unemployment rates prior to today CA was the worst.

          • James

You are true…but there are large regional differences. The drought has hit the Central Valley hard but not the tech, pharmaceutical, and financial centers

  • Russ Miller

Maybe it would be safer if they used maps and compasses instead of following a GPS, not to mention more useful in a SHTF situation.

  • jbstoner43

Is it official that we can offically label modern people as “mindless idiots”.

    • Cryptic Unknown

Mindless idiots? while your avatar is Panda that explains why ha! oh and btw is demonised a dance? Just seeing desiigner dances live on stage like a possessed man.

  • MIchael in Chicago

I am surprised that Michael, being a Jew, did not mention this disturbing news. Droves of players have been filtering through the Holocaust Museum in
Washington, DC, but not to brush up on their history. The museum shows
up on Pokemon Go’s radar as a PokeStop, a hotspot where players can
stock up on the poke balls needed to capture Pokemon found out in the
wild. Hollinger is looking into getting the Holocaust Museum delisted as a
PokeStop location, and not just because a steady trickle of visitors
glued to their phones is distracting and disrespectful. An image making its rounds on Twitter
shows Koffing, a Pokemon that spews poisonous gas, inside the museum
near an auditorium where visitors watch short films of Jewish survivors
    who escaped gas chambers.

    • MIchael in Chicago

That’s copy and paste for you.

    • The_Ipcress_File

      That is kinda messed up.

  • Jim Davis

Pokemon is demonic? Stupid, yes. But demonic, well that’s absurd. Evangelicals needs to get a life.

    • Paul Patriot

Lol, evangelicals already have a life, that Life is in the Lord Jesus Christ.

“He that has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son, does not have Life” 1 John 5:12

      • iris

Yes, He is “The Way, The Truth, and The Life.” “In Him, is Yes.”

      • GV

        you know what Jim meant
        get a life
        and start thinking for yourself

    • Fae

People who play this Pokemon game need to get a life… seriously lol

    • Cryptic Unknown

You question yourself about is Pokemon demonic? first of all do you know what demonic is? Im sure you never experienced a true meaning of life. Life without Christ is meaningless itself!!

  • K

Just further proof. There is just something mentally wrong, with a lot of people. They have driven into trees, stepped into traffic, you name it. Or is this the biggest mind control experiment ever? Back in 2008, the Scientific American. Reported on a study on how brain patterns could be affected by cellphones. Just by using certain frequencies, brain patterns could be affected. Well it is 8 years later. No telling what advances have been made. Mental illness, or experiment, or something sinister. Take your choice, none of them are good.

    • ok

Brain patterns can be affected by anything, including food.

      • K

Yes, and on some, food has a controlling affect. But you know when you are eating. I am wondering if this has a controlling affect. That people are unaware of. Darpa has been looking for that frequency for years..

        • TDot

You are correct. Also, tvs give off a unique wave unlike other electronics that place the observer into an Alpha state… Ever try to talk to someone that is spaced out while watching tv? That’s the Alpha state. It makes it easy to impart subluminal messages. Great for marketing products right!

  • Ed

    Michael,

Your other articles are excellent, but this one strikes me as quite silly. I grew up playing Pokemon and to be brutally honest, I can tell that you have little experience with the Pokemon universe.

First as to the “evolution” part of the game: it is really better described at “metamorphosis.” When a Pokemon gains a certain amount of experience or meets other criteria, it changes into a different and stronger form. It is very similar to a caterpillar turning into a butterfly. (In fact there are some caterpillar Pokemon that do just that.) I believe that the term evolution was just either just a poor translation or a cool term that the Japanese decided to use. There really is no “evolution” going on in the game, i.e. no frog Pokemon evolving into a mammalian Pokemon.

Second, there are no demon Pokemon in the game. In fact, most Pokemon are based on real life or mythical animals, such as turtles, lizards, dogs, horses or dragons. There are ghost and physic Pokemon and yes, admittedly some of them do have scary descriptions. If you have a problem with ghosts and physic abilities and don’t want your kids to play a game that has them in it, then fine, don’t play the game. But then what about books, movies, TV shows and even holidays that ghosts and the supernatural are associated with? Is Scooby Doo also off limits? What about A Christmas Carol? No scary stories around the campfire? Should you also skip that part in the Bible where Christ casts the demons into pigs or exorcises people? Ghosts are a part of almost all cultures and the Japanese culture, which Pokemon is a product of, is no different.

Third, you have a quote from someone who states that the process of capturing Pokemon and using them against others sounds like what occultists do. But this person has no idea that a large part of the game is befriending the Pokemon after capturing it and treating it like a pet and a friend. In certain games you can even go and pet, play and give your Pokemon treats like a dog or a cat. In other games you can put your Pokemon into contests, which are very similar to dog shows. This also includes the scary ghost Pokemon as well. In the Pokemon anime show, this friendship with the Pokemon is really stressed. Also, you can always release your Pokemon back into the wild, if you want to. Pokemon are not meant to be abused in the Pokemon Universe and characters who do this are the villains.

Additionally, the colored energy cards refers to the card game which has nothing to do with Pokemon Go. Also psychic Pokemon are not the strongest in the game. Some of them were early on, but new types that have been introduced has changed this. There are other problems with what you wrote as well, but I’ve already written enough!

I am not saying that all pop culture phenomenons are harmless. I do agree that Harry Potter is indeed dangerous. But Pokemon is harmless. Really, the thing that I worry about is that people get too involved in the game and do not set enough time aside for prayer or other important things. (Like preparing for when the SHTF.)

    Rant over.

Thank you and God bless, Michael.

    • Joan Camara

Wait awhile, before you rant! You have no idea of the future, except what your tiny mind envisions. Just wait awhile, and you just might find yourself, taking your words back, and then you can say, “I had NO idea!”

      • Calladus

Such hate and spitefulness in your words Joan Camara.

    • bre

Exactly. Some people don’t care about the facts, or even have any clue what they’re talking about, they just get hyped up by the scary article titles and the messed up, crooked logic. Of course the people terrified of the game simply have no idea what it actually is. NEXT.

    • The_Ipcress_File

Thanks. You saved me typing a shorter version of what you said. BTW, I’ almost level 4. Too busy with work to play :-(

  • Maddog

Over 70% of these “demons” are found in churches. I wonder if their sending these idiots to pastors or Christians homes. Maybe providing this data to radicle mooslums.

    • Pete Okuhira

All sinners should be coming to CHRIST, even if they are labeled as “idiots”. Apostle Paul was an idiot, when he was Saul.

    • Jessy Scholl

Chances are the churches where the demons are found, are Catholic Churches.

  • VigilanteCaregiver

Was in class today and a guy, not even a student, comes into the classroom looking for a Pokémon! In a college classroom!! Professor threw him out and posted up a sign, “There are no Pokémon in this classroom”.

Occult? No, there’s not enough to consider it occult. Mostly based on old Japanese fairytales, legends, and existing flora and fauna; throw aspects of the old-fashioned dogfighting and cockfighting of the late 19th century, mixed in with an old card game. Not enough for it to be religious in it’s core.

Interesting? Yeah. Kind of pathetic when tried in some places? Absolutely! And funny!

    • The_Ipcress_File

Many “PokeStops” are at churchs. I’ve hearing that people are actually going to church to find Pokémon.

  • ok

Occult concepts like “magical stones” reminds me of what Joseph Smith was into.

  • Rhialto the Marvellous

In other news, Monopoly has been shown to create greed in children!
    Avoid it at all costs!

    • Pete Okuhira

Exactly! Actually, the object of the game is to put all of other players into bankruptcy. Why aren’t any Christians complained about Monopoly? Isn’t greed, a sin?

      • Preacher62

Greed is sin as is materialism, as is loving the things of the world, as is looking to the government for solutions to our problems, but you can’t say things like that in Church now or on most of these boards because American Christianity is all about finding the sin in others rather than repenting of your own.

        • Pete Okuhira

That’s really sad. And our country supposed to be the light of the world,as I’m Christian nation. And yet, we are acting like Pharisees in the New Testament era. That’s really sad.

          • Steve Schultz 史蒂夫

            Agree!

  • Matthew

Prove that Pokemon causes spiritual warfare and then I might just believe it. The church has been preaching this ever since Pokemon invaded America and they’re still preaching the same junk. It’s sad how anyone can think this is demonic.

    • Joan Camara

You can see into the future?

      • Maximus

        Can you?

    • Paul Patriot

You may be missing the point. It involves new age and occult overtones that can lead to demonic warfare, oppression and distracting peoples minds to eternal things of value, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Prove to me that there is NO spiritual warfare going on.

      • Cryptic Unknown

Amen brother Paul. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

    • Ray S.

Probably can’t be proven but with anything in this world there is always a fine line for it to become good or bad. For example, you can drink alchohol and enjoy it in moderation. But once you start drinking and it becomes an addiction it then controls you. This is part of spiritual warfare. The Bible says we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces. The devil is out to take anything that may be deemed as innocent and use it to destroy the human race by making it our obsession. There are people who can become addicted to this game. Some people are addicted to gaming in general. It robs them of living a full life and they spend their days which become years glued to a screen. Kids and even adults can get so caught up in filling their mind with information about the many hundreds (maybe even thousands) of Pokemon creatures that they forget about their natural surroundings and the real relationships that matter.

  • Captain Canuck

    This is just absurd.

  • Chris Gerber

From the outside looking in. I see Pokemon as a spin off on the game of Geocaching, on a digital basis. That being said, almost everything in the secular world is going to influence people negatively by definition. So, if there are demonic influences in the game of Pokemon, frankly that would not surprise me. Little monsters will keep kids interested in the game as the marketers have probably surmised. Adults that become obsessed with the game need to check their integrity level.

  • Lux Ferre

Japanese words? Phuhahahahaha it comes from english words, Poket Monster
You talk about things you ignore, like every chistian. Well it’s obvious, you don’t know either your “”god”” xD

  • Ugg

May the Lord rebuke to the face, any Christian who “hotly debates” in favor of the abominable idolatry of PokemonGo.

  • Redlucy

I think anything that can catch the attention of the masses the way this game appears to, is a red flag for staying away. The devil is very sly and uses whatever means necessary to detract our minds from what we SHOULD be doing by keeping it all wrapped up in packages that seem innocuous. It is disturbing the way mythical, magical, witchcraft and sorcery type games and movies hijack our kids (and adults) attention away from everything else……keeping them busy so that they don’t see what’s happening behind the curtain.

    • iris

Agree about the occult influence. It doesn’t need to include that aspect. Perhaps more conditioning? Science of any kind, or simply observing nature, is way more interesting.

    • Steve Schultz 史蒂夫

Right! very disturbing. On the smaller side of it there will be Deaths due to Muggings, mis-identifications, Racial profiling and Un-attentitive awareness of surroundings during Game play. Trespass Shootings? Who knows.
Maybe it is just another dumb down to take attentions away from what things we should be more concerned of in today’s shakey world!
      Keep a Watchful eye!

  • apeiron

    At least they’re getting outdoors.

    • The_Ipcress_File

It’s true. My GF is happy to get me away from my XBOX.

  • Maximus

Oh dear sweet Lord….we have OFFICIALLY run out of stuff to ‘sound the alarm’ about. Just how tight are you people wound? LIGHTEN UP!

    • Matt Foot

There is NO light in hell, where Pokemon is from, let me assure you.

      • Maximus

Um. Yeah. Well…as soon as you have footage of this, I’ll be ‘assured’….

        • TDot

You won’t need footage if you’ll be seeing it for yourself.

I agree, this thing is evil.I can’t believe how many people are into it.

  • Lee O’Neal

Seriously?! Pokemon has been around since the mid 90’s. Pokemon Go is just a new concept to Pokémon. In reality though, all it is and ever will be, is a game. A GAME. That’s like saying monopoly needs to be banned bc it teaches kids about greed and corruption. It’s a game. There are many definitions to a word but does that mean that all apply to the application of the word? No. I’m a devout Christian and deacon at my church so I don’t want to hear about how if I was this or that. The game is meant to entertain. If anything, you could say it teaches kids about responsibility bc you have to raise these little creatures up to be strong adults and to use them to rid the world of evil doers and abusers of the Pokémon. Some people out here are just searching for something negative to say about anything.

    • Paul Patriot

The lack of discernment amongst those who claim to be “Christian” never ceases to amaze me.

“If anything, you could say it teaches kids about responsibility bc you have to raise these little creatures up to be strong adults and to use them to rid the world of evil doers and abusers of the Pokémon.”

      Are you kidding me???????

Not judging, but, if you think a game called pocket monster with all its new age and occult overtones should be a consideration for a Christian family………….I pray for you.

      • Lee O’Neal

I appreciate your prayers. I pray for myself and the world everyday. You do realize this is a Japanese game from the 90’s which is why it’s so over the top and wacky with its creatures. I don’t “claim” to be Christian. I am. I have the ability to understand what’s make believe and what’s reality. Some guy sat down and made all of it up bc kids would like it and it would serve as a hobby to collect the cards. Honestly, if something as simple as a trading card game can be the deciding point of someone’s religious beliefs, then that person is a very mentally weak person.

    • Pastor Bob

Meanwhile the mainline denominational church continues to become weaker and increasingly apostate as they submit themselves into the ways of the world, effectively becoming involved in the entertainment business. Only a remnant of true born again believers and followers of the Lord Jesus Christ tqke the time to faithfully study and accurately divide the word of God. Children need to be taught about the Kingdom of God, not some fantasy game laced with occultism. Real life is not a game. Teaching children responsibility and love for others is no game either. There are almost endless practical ways to instill godly values into our children and grandchildren (for example teach children to serve those who cannot serve themselves. Also my wife and I have been to an animal shelter numerous times to walk and play with some of the abandoned dogs, what a great opportunity for teaching a child!)
Life is real, Jesus Christ is real. And the occult is real. Choose this day whom you will serve.

      • Lee O’Neal

I agree the mainline denominational church weakens. People like Joel Osteen are destroying Christianity with their false doctrine. I, myself, am southern Baptist. And no, definitely not Newspring. I know who I serve and that’s Jesus Christ. Teaching about the kingdom of God is very important. Never said it wasn’t. I’m just saying that a game, a made up card game, is just that. Made up. If i satt down and drew a bunch of animals with slight variations in their designs and gave them names would that be evil? I think not. Do you even know what the real game of pokemon is about. Probably not. A boy goes off to be the best pokemon trainer in the wold and to catch all 150+ of the pokemon. In the process he foils the evil plans of team rocket (the bad guys), whose goal is using the innocent pokemon animals to commit crimes and do all their work labor for them. Really not evil stuff here. There are much worse things kids could get into and many more things out there that need our attention and prayers. Thank you and goodnight.

      • Cryptic Unknown

Amen Pastor Bob, not all who claim to be Christians are really Christians. You know them by their fruits. In the last days many will say to the Lord…Lord i served you for so many years, look what i did for you etc..the answer is: I never knew you. False doctrines and movement will come, thats why We as Christians Need to study the Word of God and examine and judge ourself while we walking with God.

  • sm

    pokemon is demonic.

    • sm

Pokeporn ruins the minds of children. Children end up with their faces glued to the screens of gameboys or whatever.

      • iris

All part of the dumbing down process, as if Common Core isn’t doing a good enough job at that. These kids need to exercise more, for developmental reasons.

        • Wyatt

Pokemon go has increased exercise actually.

    • bre

      Based on what facts?…

  • Marvin Powers

    all of the above.

  • RageHard84

I didn’t think that Pokemon was demonic…I thought they were just animals with powers.

    • Cryptic Unknown

So you know and agree it has powers? what power are you talking about? it just nothing but darkness..but unfortunately it is powerless against for those who are In Christ.

      • RageHard84

I thought twas superpowers, you know?

  • James

But is there a dark side to Pokemon Go? Is it potentially evil, dangerous or demonic?

    No, no, no

  • Micky Diaz

Pokemon in ALL of its forms is satanic. The actual creators of Pokemon are satanists themselves.

    • iris

Would appreciate proof of that, although I wouldn’t be surprised.

    • The_Ipcress_File

      Proof, couch warrior.

    • Cryptic Unknown

I mean proof what? and why say couch warrior? making fun of others boost your ego right? Why are you visiting this site its because you are DOUBTING and looking for answers!

  • Jason

I never thought Pokemon was demonic to begin with, but this app is trouble. It’s trouble for people’s privacy, it’s trouble for their safety. Anyone who walks on my property playing this game will likely regret it to the fullest extent. I have a sign that says trespassers will be shot. And that ain’t no joke.

    • The_Ipcress_File

Seriously? You would shoot a trespasser? Ridiculous. Get over yourself.

    • Cryptic Unknown

But Jason think about it, if you shoot someone at the end of the day you think you win..but actually you made the devil the true winner, you have been used what the devil is trying to achieve.

    • GV

“…Anyone who walks on my property playing this game will likely regret it to the fullest extent….”

fullest extent? jeez, no cause to get violent, they wouldn’t be on your property to harm you
yet you want to treat them as violent criminals

  • Righteous and Justice

Thats the problem with demon, ghost and stuff like that. The world, satan who is the father of lies, will find all kind of possibilities to convince you that demon ghost dont exist, is just a cartoon is not real. So when we as Christians gonna talk about Holy Ghost, the worldly people will say you guys are crazy is fake, is fake.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

I dont say you cannot watch a movie or having fun with games and stuff like that but i do believe things that is associated with darkness, we should stay away from because it leads to open doors in your life. Worshipping idols that you even dont know or idols who try to hold a grip in your life and you ask yourself why i wanna try to this thing (maybe your talent, passion or relation etc) but its not working…

As you grow in Christ, these question like what about this violence game or this worldly movie it is not important anymore, you know each to their own. If you have a conviction to play go and play and if doubting just leave it.

Because what you see right now on social media, youtube is all about Pokemon go, everybody talking about it which receive a lot of worship, glory and praises..but dont forget that God is a jealous God all worship, glory and praises belongs to Him alone.

    • iris

Thank you for that balanced perspective, R and J. God bless!

      • Cryptic Unknown

        Hi R and J,

Thank you very much, its a joy for me to share it with you. Btw was using other nickname.

  • Hillary4Prison

There is a video on YouTube where a former satanist exposes satanic objects in most people’s homes, one of the items mentioned is the game Pokemon.

  • Austin Mathews

You people are ridiculous. It’s a game. Radical christians like the people that wrote this article ruin good things for good people. “Oh no my kids are playing a game, laughing and having fun with friends! There are magical concepts in a FANTASY world!? NO, I CANNOT HAVE IT. NOT ALLOWED, THE DEVILS GETTIN HIS GRIPS ON MY CHILDREN!”

Side note, games are supposed to be different from the real world. Don’t make such a big fuss about it like this.

    • Cryptic Unknown

I know exactly what you mean Austin, you mean stop being OVER SPIRITUAL but unfortunately some people do wanna play games IRL, lets shoot people, lets play GTA, carjacking and using truck to ride over people HAHA its so funny, wait maybe jump from this building and using magical spells so i can fly, lets play games!!! You aint playing nothing but yourself!!

      • Steve Schultz 史蒂夫

Great Concepts to Fool a Hijacked World that is Sooo P.C. it is damaging.

But Pokemons don’t actually exist! They’re cartoon characters.

  • Micheal, ever since you turned into a serious Holy Roller a couple of years ago, I have watched your mind close a little with each iteration of your articles. Get out of the Church while you still can. This message is for you alone – I would be stunned to see you authorize it to be listed publicly.

I agree with the subtle (or not so subtle) links Pokemon has to the occult, but whether or not people agree that this game has occultic meanings, the fact that children, teens, and men and women in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s are running around chasing imaginary creatures is disturbing.
There are reports of people walking off cliffs, walking off subway platforms, and the other night in New York City, dozens of people abandoned their running cars to go into Central Park to chase and capture one of the more elusive Pokémon creatures.
    Whatever happened to growing up?
We now have an extended childhood that last 20, 30 or more years, and coddled, privileged adult children occupy themselves with video games, their cell phones, Facebook, Twitter, smoke marijuana, delay marriage and childbearing,

Agree, its a good sagittal section of our society’s current state. pathetic

How do you feel about Pokemon since the release, search results for pornographic content on the internet has dropped by approximately 12 percent?

The fact that the Pokémon app was developed by a company with ties to the CIA, and that the app will track your location, and the entire contents of your phone and Google account, this alone should make everyone refuse to download this ridiculous time waster.

I just have to say that this is completely blown out of proportion! Did you know in Pokemon Indigo league, episode 16 there is actual reference to the Bible, Noah and the floods where the bird brought back a branch. You are quick to judge a fictional story line and make it into something it is not. It is a game to pass time and get people active in the world. It has no biblical blasphemy or demonic nature which is an invention of your imagination, and well I would call that EVIL.

It’s not just to criticize a game unless you’ve actually played it. A nation taken over by Rothchilds is a dying nation.

Played the “game” with a young friend of mine. A mind numbing waste of energy and time.
The fact that the Pokémon app was developed by a company with ties to the CIA, and that the app will track your location, and the entire contents of your phone and Google account, should make any THINKING person refuse to download this vampiric app.

Really?! My grandmother claimed every game, pager and cell phone growing up was demonic. I had access to all of them from friends and I loved God then just as much as I do now since she refuse to purchase “sinful” things. Please don’t use your platform for ridiculousness.

If the game is demonic then that makes Satan the creator of wifi, internet, mobile devices and more. So many are glue to their technology that they are distracted from life which is the real problem. The game is a fad especially for the 90’s babies who truly understand the game.My sister is one of them an is also a successful Christian woman as am I. When you ground and root your children in Gods word, things like these do not come before God. I have no problem with Pokemon Go or technology except when it comes before God and living life on purpose.

No, these are not devils. They are only man-made cartoons! You might as well be afraid of Bugs Bunny (who doesn’t exist) or of playing pieces in Scrabble.

Probably just a way to subliminally plant into children’s minds that little demonic monsters are cute and that they can be controlled to do what you want them to do, but you have to catch them first. And to do so you have to go into their realm and see them. Eventually when the antichrist comes to set up his kingdom on this earth and the gates of hell open up, the people who are still here will think that the demonic forces are there for their bidding and good will. They won’t realize it’s the other way around. All of this stuff conditions the mind for what’s coming next. The devil is a very good planner and he’s had centuries to think about how to do what he plans to do.
