Hordes Of Anti-Trump Democrats Are Lining Up To Run For Congress In 2018

If Republicans don’t wake up, there is a very real possibility that we could lose control of the House of Representatives in 2018. And if that happens, Donald Trump’s agenda will be dead in the water because the Democrats will use their majority to block everything. Trump’s surprise election victory last November was perhaps the single most galvanizing moment for grassroots Democrats in this generation. Just as the election of Barack Obama gave rise to the Tea Party movement, we are now seeing a tremendous amount of energy among liberals all over the nation. If Republicans cannot match this energy, we are going to be in for quite a shock in November 2018.

There have been times in the past when it has been difficult for the Democrats to find viable candidates to challenge Republican incumbents in the House, but that is definitely not the case this time around. For example, just check out what has already been happening in California

Eight challengers have lined up to take on Central Valley Republican Jeff Denham. An equal number have jumped into the fray against embattled San Diego-area Rep. Duncan Hunter, the focus of a Justice Department criminal investigation regarding his alleged use of campaign funds to pay for family expenses.

Controversial Rep. Dana Rohrabacher of Huntington Beach, recently in the headlines for his own dealings with Russia, has seven Democrats contesting his reelection. Rep. Steve Knight of Palmdale has six.

And that same Politico article goes on to describe how similar things are happening all over the nation.

One of the big reasons why so many Democrats are stepping forward is because they smell blood. During the first mid-term election of a new presidency, the opposing party almost always picks up seats in the House. In fact, Democratic strategist Garry South says the average number of seats picked up during such elections is 23

Democratic strategist Garry South, who advised presidential campaigns for Al Gore and Joe Lieberman, said the enthusiasm is especially revved-up because “Democrats need only 24 seats nationally to flip to get control of the House’’ — and more than a quarter of those may be in California.

History is on their side, he argues: Over the past 20 cycles in the first term of a presidency, Republican or Democratic, “the average number flipped has been 23 seats.”

Could you imagine the gridlock in D.C. if the Democrats are able to pull this off?

Donald Trump would essentially just be killing time until 2020 because he would be able to get absolutely nothing through Congress.

And that is why it is so frustrating that the Republicans are squandering the opportunity that they have been given right now. The American people gave them control of the White House, the Senate and the House of Representatives, and they can’t seem to get anything accomplished.

This is a once in a generation opportunity to completely reshape the federal government, and the Republicans are falling flat on their faces. And of course the biggest reason why the Republicans can’t get anything done is because of all the RINOs (Republicans in name only) that are holding up Trump’s agenda.

One of my slogans is “Every RINO needs to go”, and I am encouraging good men and women to step forward all over the nation to challenge the Republican incumbents that have been betraying conservative values over and over again.

But so far Democrats are having a much easier time getting people to run than we are.

If good men and women don’t step forward, we are going to end up with candidates such as Kid Rock and Caitlyn Jenner

Olympic gold medalist and transgender activist Caitlyn Jenner is the latest celebrity to reveal she has considered launching a run for Senate, telling radio host John Catsimatidis she is in the process of determining her future in activism and politics.

“I have considered it. I like the political side of it,” Jenner, who is a Republican, told Catsimatidis on AM 970 in New York.

Is that what you want?

In my brand new book entitled “Living A Life That Really Matters”, I discuss why I decided to run for Congress. If you would have asked me in April if I would ever run for public office I probably would have laughed at you, but in May my life turned totally upside down when I was moved in a completely unexpected direction.

I believe that 2018 is going to be the most important mid-term election in modern American history.

We can seize this opportunity and send hundreds of candidates that love liberty and freedom to Washington and to state legislatures all over the nation, or we can apathetically sit back and watch the control freaks take even more control of things.

There has never been a more important time to get involved, and I hope that you will join me in trying to make a difference.

Michael Snyder is a Republican candidate for Congress in Idaho’s First Congressional District, and you can learn how you can get involved in the campaign on his official website. His new book entitled “Living A Life That Really Matters” is available in paperback and for the Kindle on Amazon.com.

I have been telling all my friends, just because we got a “reprieve” with the current admin, rest assured, the powers that want to take down America, and continue the destructive momentum created by the traitor who occupied our house for 8 years, and those who want a global system, are not resting, and are working very hard and are very organized for the next election to Insure they get the DEMONcrats back in a majority position so they can disarm the population or at least pass laws that will punish use/carrying of firearms for self defense, and silence all conservative, pro constitutional speech, and any and all “intolerant” speech that may offend enemies of America.

    • TheRunningMan

Boomers die every day while liberal programmed youth come of voting age. That combined with a vast population that is dependent on government handouts (theft via tax) pretty much assures that we have passed the tipping point.

Well said, I Could not have said it better.

      • davidnrobyn

Right on, RM. The destructive elements only have to wait for generational change. They think generationally, not just in election cycles.

Not if the Supreme Court gets locked in.

The ironic thing is that the Republicans never expected to have to put up or shut up. So the American People put them in Congress and expected a lot from this bunch of people for hire for money. Make no mistake, moneyed interests control both of our political parties at this point in time.
    Money talks and Blarney walks.
This bunch has kissed the Blarney stone every election year that I know of.
Take health care insurance as an example.
The problem here is that their financial base consists of large amounts of money from the insurance controlled industries. So instead of a fair health care bill, they have one in which the insurance companies get everything they want in the name of reform that is actually no reform at all.
IF they put in a decent health care law then they are essentially fired. Yes they are hired right now. The hired help will never put together a good health plan because that would cost the insurance industry major dollar expenses.
I hate to say this because Michael I think you are truthful and sincere. You are not in touch with what is going on in the Republican Congress. I spent 41 years in the newspaper industry as a production worker in the Composing Room. I have proofread many an article by people much smarter than I am.
My conclusion is the Congress is controlled by the Powers That Be and there is little we can do about it.
This bunch will try to fool us with words. But as the good book says, judge them by their fruits, not what they say. Until either party will get their acts together and get rid of the people hired by the money interests, you are wasting your time trying to change the Congress.
It is not going to happen.
Ironically we need to change the rules to break up the monopoly the money interests currently have over our Congress. Who changes the rules? The Congress does. Will they? Not while they are making a lot of money.
    You want to expose something?
Try looking into whom financed their last election. I use the plural because it was more than one group that influences how they vote and who they sell down the river.
The ones they sell down the river are the common, average American workers. By their actions they assume we are not intelligent enough to see through what they do in what is literally hours upon hours of borrowing Blarney in the congress.
There is one thing that might influence this all powerful group of controllers behind the Congress. IF they can be convinced that they face ruin if they continue down this path, then they might bring about some change.
More likely they will abandon all of us and go live off their off-shore accounts.
Unless they put together a workable plan for health care for every one of us regardless of our income either high or low then that is what they face down the road. Because middle America is literally bankrupt right now. Not down the road.
The reason Donald Trump was made President was simply because a number of very bright billionaires backed his Presidency.
I am a very good advertising builder retired. I recognized the methods he used to become President and they are sound PR methods.
Unless they change a lot of factors, those same billionaires will end up with a lot of funny money no more valuable than toilet paper.
And that is the only motivation that will work to straighten out what is currently going on. The people in charge lose unless change is made.

    • “Try looking into whom financed their last election. I use the plural because it was more […]”

“Whom” is not the plural of anything. A proofreader or really anyone who’d worked in journalism would know this. “Whom” is to “Who” as “Him” is to “He” and as “Them” is to “They”. They are entirely different parts of speech.

Whereas no one can confirm or deny the conspiracy theory that all politicians are paid/controlled by TPB, you should certainly know that the people whom (<— correct usage) they
are fearing right now are their constituents! It's those voters who are telling their local politicians that THEY do not want the repeal of their healthcare!!!

None of us here were happy with the threat, then eventual advent, of ObamaCare. But once poor people GOT it, they
liked it. Please do yourself the favor of finding stories about how it's no longer just lefties wanting to keep ObamaCare… it's EVERYONE under a certain income level. Many people think that only Dems are poor, but that is unbelievably ignorant. Poor Conservative voters are bugging their Congresspeople to NOT go along with the repeal.

Honestly — Donald gives zero 💩💩💩 about anything. He shows up, signs what they tell him to, rambles incoherently for a few minutes, tells people to clap at him, then he's back to golfing, tweeting, and telling women that they're attractive. He is more of an empty suit than the other guy.

“If you would have asked me in April if I would ever run for public office I probably would have laughed at you, but in May my life turned totally upside down when I was moved in a completely unexpected direction.”

What specifically turned your life totally upside down in May? By the way, why on earth would you want to mingle with that corrupted bunch of losers in Washington D.C. Regardless, Congress is gridlocked now so additional Democrats in the House aren’t going to change anything.

  • “Hordes Of Anti-Trump Democrats Are Lining Up To Run For Congress In 2018”

Hey, if we’re being 100% honest here, hordes of Anti-Donald REPUBLICANS are lining up to run for Congress too, you know. It isn’t just Dems who are smart enough to see with 10,000% certainty that any affiliation with Donald is toxic.

Anyone who runs on any platform which accepts or even tolerates Crooked Donald is going to be burning their money. They will NOT win any position in American politics. Russian politics maybe! But not American politics.

November 8th must still be a very fresh painful memory for you. My deepest condolences.

      • Well, as an American and a Patriot, it was essentially our nation’s second 9/11 in fifteen years. All Americans and all Patriots appreciate your condolences.

But we will bounce back from the tragedy. I mean, the Orange Menace’s approval numbers did the impossible and sunk even lower, and what with no real segment of society admitting to approving of him anymore, we shall overcome our error in no time.

Come on Carrie, you’ve worshipped the closeted half-Kenyan traitor piglet for eight years and you voted for a corrupt alcoholic hag like Hillary who sold our uranium and took hundreds of millions from the Middle East. You are not a patriot, you are a disgusting traitor, like your political patrons.

          • Awwww, you’ve earned my favorite reply: You got your degree in mind-reading at Trump University, didn’t ya? Because LITERALLY NOT ONE THING you just pulled out of your trump is factual! I’d see if your state is still settling the multi-million dollar Class Action FRAUD lawsuits against Deceitful Donald’s now-discovered grift, Trump “University”. Man, I just hope you weren’t as poverty-stricken as the rest of the victims he conned out of good money. It was really quite sad reading how all of you gullible, low-IQ victims just handed over your welfare checks and Social Security payments to that revolting grifter in exchange FOR NOTHING.

Just about the only thing you [accidentally] got correct was that Obama was actually President for eight years. (My name isn’t even Carrie — it’s just my disqus moniker!)

Try verifying your claims before humiliating yourself like you just did there, mm-kay, snookums?

  • Undecider

Trump’s agenda is already dead in the water, thanks to the RINOs.
