Christians Are Being Systematically Purged From The U.S. Military

Soldier - Public DomainIf you are a Bible-believing Christian, there is no place for you in Barack Obama’s version of the U.S. military.  Christian service members all over the nation are being disciplined for reading their Bibles, talking about their faith publicly and encouraging others to live a moral lifestyle.  And just saying the name of “Jesus” at the wrong place or the wrong time while serving in the military is enough to spark a national controversy.  We live at a time when political correctness in America is wildly out of control, and thanks to Obama the U.S. military has become one of the most politically correct institutions in our society.  Things have gotten so bad that dozens of top officers that did not agree with Obama’s views have been forced out of the military in recent years.  The U.S. military is being transformed into an overtly anti-Christian institution, and for those of us that are Christians that is a very chilling development.

Perhaps you think that the title of this article is a bit of an exaggeration.

Perhaps you think that there is no way things could have gotten that bad.

Well, I grew up as a military kid.  In those days, the U.S. military was actually quite welcoming to Christians.  But now things have completely and totally changed.

For example, just the other day the Washington Times reported that large numbers of Christians are either leaving the military or never joining in the first place because of the “hostile work environment” that currently exists…

Christians are leaving the U.S. military or are discouraged from joining in the first place because of a “hostile work environment” that doesn’t let them express their beliefs openly, religious freedom advocates say.

Michael Berry, senior counsel at the Liberty Institute, a Texas-based legal organization dedicated to defending religious liberty in America, said recent high-profile cases of military chaplains facing punishment for private counseling sessions that reflected the teachings of their religion could cause devout Americans who are qualified for military service to think twice about joining the military.

Could this be what Barack Obama wants?

Could it be possible that he actually wants to discourage young Bible-believing Christians from serving our country?  Because according to the Times, that is exactly what is happening

“People of faith are going to stay away from the military,” said Mr. Berry in an interview with The Washington Times.

“I can’t tell you how many moms and dads I’ve spoken to who say, ‘My son or daughter wants to join the military, [but] in light of what you’ve described, I’m not sure I want to let them join the military anymore,’ and I don’t blame them. I would have serious reservations about my own kids joining,” Mr. Berry said.

If you are in the military today, you have got to be so careful about any expression of faith.

Even the slightest slip up can cause the authorities to crack down on you.

Just consider the following two examples which come from Newsmax

In December, a chaplain for a Ranger training battalion was sent an administrative letter of concern after a soldier complained that he had promoted Christianity and used a Bible during a mandatory suicide-prevention training session.

Last month, a Navy chaplain was removed from his job and may lose his career after complaints about his private counseling during which he discouraged homosexuality and sex outside of marriage.

You mean a Christian chaplain actually “used a Bible” and “promoted Christianity”?

In the old days, doing those things was the very essence of what being a chaplain was all about.

How in the world are you supposed to be a chaplain without “using the Bible”?

It doesn’t make any sense.

Like I said, the U.S. military is becoming an overtly anti-Christian institution, and it starts at the very top.

Since he has been in the White House, Barack Obama has consistently slammed Bible-believing Christians.  Obviously he considers them to be among his chief political enemies, and he barely tries to hide his animosity for them.  We saw another example of this just recently

Consider what Obama—who is on record saying “we are no longer a Christian nation,” and who never notes the Islamic identity of murderers or the Christian identity of their victims, and who ignored a recent UN session on Christian persecution—had to say about Christians at the Easter Prayer Breakfast:  “On Easter, I do reflect on the fact that as a Christian, I am supposed to love.  And I have to say that sometimes when I listen to less than loving expressions by Christians, I get concerned.”

One of the key people that the Obama administration has brought in to advise the Pentagon on matters of faith and the military is a man named Mikey Weinstein.

Weinstein is the head of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, and to say that he hates evangelical Christians is a huge understatement.  The following comes from one of my previous articles

The MRFF is a very insidious organization.  It is headed up by a man named Mikey Weinstein.  He has called Christians “human monsters” and “enemies of the United States Constitution“.  Weinstein is convinced that sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ while in the military is “sedition and treason” and should be punished as such.

With guys like that telling the Pentagon how to treat Christians, no wonder things have gotten so bad.

Obama is “fundamentally transforming” the military, and those that aren’t willing to go along are being forced out.

But don’t just take my word for it.

In a previous article, I included these amazing quotes from retired high ranking officers…

Retired Army Major General Paul Vallely: “The White House protects their own. That’s why they stalled on the investigation into fast and furious, Benghazi and Obamacare. He’s intentionally weakening and gutting our military, Pentagon and reducing us as a superpower, and anyone in the ranks who disagrees or speaks out is being purged.”

Retired Army Major General Patrick Brady: “There is no doubt he (Obama) is intent on emasculating the military and will fire anyone who disagrees with him.”

Retired Army Lt. General William G. “Jerry” Boykin: “Over the past three years, it is unprecedented for the number of four-star generals to be relieved of duty, and not necessarily relieved for cause.”

Retired Navy Captain Joseph John: “I believe there are more than 137 officers who have been forced out or given bad evaluation reports so they will never make Flag (officer), because of their failure to comply to certain views.”

Are you starting to get the picture?

In addition, specific evangelical Christian groups are often being singled out as “hate groups” during military training sessions around the country.  The following is from Fox News

Several dozen U.S. Army active duty and reserve troops were told last week that the American Family Association, a well-respected Christian ministry, should be classified as a domestic hate group because the group advocates for traditional family values.

The briefing was held at Camp Shelby in Mississippi and listed the AFA alongside domestic hate groups like the Ku Klux Klan, Neo-Nazis, the Black Panthers and the Nation of Islam.

Needless to say, the AFA is not a hate group.

But they are Bible-believing Christians that take their faith seriously.

For Obama and his minions, that is a very bad thing.

And as I pointed out the other day, we have seen this kind of thing since Obama has been in the White House over and over and over again.  Christians are being demonized as “right-wing extremists” and “potential terrorists”, and if this keeps up it won’t be too long until we see overt persecution by the government.

In the old days, Christians loved the military and the military loved Christians.

But now they are being set directly at odds with each other, and for those of us that are Bible-believing Christians that has a very ominous ring to it.

So what do you think about all of this?  Please feel free to share your opinion by posting a comment below…

If someone leaves the one Church (singular in Matthew 16:18) that Christ founded and bowdlerizes the Bible, is that person “Christian”?

    • Victory_for_Freedom_2016

      What does “bowderlizes” mean?

      • Mark

bowdlerize |ˈbōdləˌrīz, ˈboud-| verb [ with obj. ] remove material that is considered improper or offensive from (a text or account), especially with the result that it becomes weaker or less effective: (as adj. bowdlerized) : a bowdlerized version of the story.DERIVATIVES bowdlerism |-ˌrizəm| noun.bowdlerization |ˌbōdləriˈzāSHən, ˌboud-| nounORIGIN mid 19th cent.: from the name of Dr. Thomas Bowdler (1754–1825), who published an expurgated edition of Shakespeare in 1818, + -ize.

        • Victory_for_Freedom_2016

Thank you. Would it not depend on the circumstances? After all, what if the Church – not necessarily the physical structure but the people – was being disrespected or had separated itself from Christ? If the individual “bowderlized” the Church because it strayed from what it was intended to be, then yes that person can be a Christ follower.

          • Mark

It is a question that every one of us must answer for ourselves.

As for me, I find it interesting that people removed 1,500-2,000 years from the events think they are in a better position than the Apostles and Fathers to translate or decide what is true, what Jesus “intended”… and what should or should not be torn from the Bible.

It should be quite clear that Jesus Himself damned those who made up their own “traditions.”

          • Victory_for_Freedom_2016

            Such as?

NAKED SWIMMER! One important FACT I would like to POINT OUT TO YOU IS: When you read the original version of the KJV Bible you need to do a search for a word for word translation in GREEK AND HEBREW to know what was actually being said. You must do a word for word study, not phrase by phrase or you will be misled in your understanding.

  • K

Since the Government has chosen the path of evil. No Christian should hold any position, which would help them accomplish their evil ends.

    • NinjaLulzTurtle

Unless they can undermine it from within.

      • K

Once that was possible, not anymore. Once with enough proof you could bring the truly corrupt down. Now the system protects them, and goes after the person who pointed out the corruption. Nowadays, Woodward and Bernstein would both be found dead from a heart attack. Or perhaps the victims in a horrible traffic accident.

        • Paul Patriot

Sadly, you are 100% correct. The system is just too broken now, and society has lost its patriotic, moral backbone in older to fight the good fight of restoring and preserving Liberty and the American way.

          • Infidel51

            Spot on.

  • If Obummer was smart he might encourage Christians to join the military to make them less socially conservative. I was there 4 years & most young guys talk like Franklin on GTA. The military movies are totally watered down. All I heard was F this & body parts talk all day long. I even woke up to the F word!

As for the American Family Association, they call women who want equal rights evil. They try to get topfree statues removed from parks & artwork removed from museums. The AFA even tried to bring obscenity charges to those responsible for a topfree statue.

    • i found a pro death penalty article on American Family Association. d.p. is evil !

      • MIke

The Death Penalty is evil? Why is that?

        • i can’t change opinions, but u should look into all the innocent people executed
          maybe i’ll explain later

    • NinjaLulzTurtle

If that is true, they are a bunch of puritains too far up their own buttholes to recognize the System for what it is, even less actively resist it.

Or actively seeking to discredit their stated cause.

      • The AFA has an article about the Boston bombing.
They rejected my comment saying it was a false flag like the Oklahoma city bombing so they don’t believe in freedom of speech.

    • Paul Patriot

Sadly, the moral bankruptcy within the military is simply a reflection of the moral bankruptcy in society.

    • TheMatrixHasU

“Less socially conservative? Meaning don’t hate homosexuality/sex outside of marriage, foul language, etc etc….NOT HAPPENING, swimmer. Wake up….you cant be a Christian without living a moral lifestyle. As for the AFA I don’t know where you get that nonsense about women being evil for wanting equal rights for that is just crap, unless you are speaking of the femi-nazis who hate men and eschew the idea of marriage. And bikinis ARE inappropriate….for you are basically naked if you wear one….AND I AM A WOMAN.

      • I’m saying that if Obama was smart he would want Christians in the military to expose them to the vulgar environment. He hates fundamentalists so this would be an excellent way to loosen their morals.

The AFA called a woman evil because she wanted the same right to sunbathe topfree that men enjoy. Visit the Topfree Equal Rights Association site & click on the older news at the bottom. Also besides going after bronze statues, the AFA even tried to get a grand jury impaneled to indict a museum for artwork!!!

AFA won’t approve any of my comments on any subject, I think because the word naked offends them.

Since you are a Christian you might want to know that early Christians were baptized naked, Saint Peter went fishing naked and God gave him the keys to the kingdom. Also God commanded one of the prophets to lie naked. There’s probably more examples but I don’t read the Bible much.

        • TheMatrixHasU

Ah I guess I misunderstood some of your message, sowwy :-) .But you cannot loosen a diehard Christian’s morals though.
Then that person would no longer be a Christian.
Now I understand what you mean by the equal rights women being called evil….they would be right though. Women’s breasts simply are not meant for public display.

I know next to nothing, really, about the AFA to make any comment about the other things you bright up.
And as for Christians being baptized naked, there is no real proof of that, in fact the bible makes no mention of it.
Nakedness amongst Christians and Jews was frowned upon so you definitely would not have seen them baptized naked.
Peter himself likely wasn’t naked when he was fishing in John 21:7. Commentators generally believe he was stripped down to his undergarments; that too was usually viewed as ‘naked’.

          • The Bible means just what it says or it has a mistake. A real Christian believes the Bible instead of someone else’s idea. Other parts of the Bible that tell about people being naked use the literal meaning of the word so this time wouldn’t be any different. Also back then fishermen had to dive into the water to pull their fishing nets out & they only had primitive clothing that didn’t do well in water so they swam naked.
You are correct the Bible does not say Christians were baptized naked, but it also doesn’t give a lot of details on many other subjects. I think this was in another history book of the era but I need to recheck my sources. Before Christian influence spread nudity was no big deal in the area (especially in communal baths in Roman-influenced areas). Also Jewish law required that a person being crucified would be stripped naked. Jesus was most certainly naked on the cross. The Bible says they took his garments. Jesus created food to feed lots of people so he could have easily created a covering for himself but the Shroud of Turin has an image of a naked man. This shows that God didn’t have a problem with all the people seeing him naked (or other times like when He told Isaiah to be naked for 3 years).

You cannot loosen a diehard Christian’s morals.” Actually Christian morals have loosened a lot throughout history. Christians say “breasts simply are not meant for public display.” This used to include men’s breasts. In the U.S. men got arrested for public toplessness up until the 1930s. Before then Christians thought it was absolutely evil for a man to be topless in public. Decades earlier Christians were convinced that someone who wore shorts in public was evil. Someone who did this would quickly be removed from public view. I have a whole list that shows how Christian’s views on morality has loosened throughout U.S. history, just read my comments.

Millions of foreign men have been castrated before puberty and they look similar to women. Their breasts are identical to a woman’s so they would be evil if they went topless. Also women are topless in many indigenous tribes. When Christian missionaries begin arriving in Hawaii in the 1820s I bet they called the women evil.

Anyone who joins the military cannot honestly call themselves a good Christian. Stomping around the world, invading foreign nations, kicking in the doors of innocent people’s homes, and putting government before God, is about as far from Christianity as one can get.

    • Mark

Yes! A fortiori, all the more true, when one examines the Satanic agenda of command and control, depopulation and enslavement of the survivors, especially enslavement to sin.

      • Mark

Is being “loyal to the Constitution” the highest goal of Christianity?

From what I see, Protestants prioritize the US Constitution over the Ten Commandments, sort of like the rabbis who prioritize their “Oral Torah” traditions over the Written Torah (Word of God), peas in a pod.

        • Mike

Not the Protestants I know. I have never met a genuine Christian that puts the US Constitution before the Word of God.

          • TheMatrixHasU

Mark, the highest goal of Christianity is but the salvation of lost souls. YES you Americans or us Canadians should honor our constitutions but the Word of God is paramount

  • ProclaimingGodsTruth

How many Christians in uniform have gone on shooting sprees , after shouting “god is great” murdering fellow service people in uniform????

A true Christian Would never think of such evil…..a true Muslim?
Well, we know how that goes (Ft hood)

Anyone who associates with the “religion of peace” at any level, should be prohibited from putting on a US military uniform.

May be a good start, but, seeing that the commander in chief is a friend of Islam, I don’t see that happening.

  • DJohn1

Well, we have a person in the Presidency. He lies a lot.
He is openly siding with Muslims and ISIS.
He apparently is NOT a Christian.
What he actually is might be a good article. Many believe he is Black Muslim. He is actually a white/black hybrid racially. That is documented.
The question is whether or not there are grounds to remove him from office? Do those grounds extend to an accessory after the fact in Joe Bidden? Which might place John Boehner as Speaker of the house in the job.
I think I would be attempting to get a sympathetic military under those circumstances.
Why haven’t any republican candidates challenged his qualifications for office? Like a birth certificate or a social security number?
The courts have ruled that only previous candidates can bring suite against him in a court of law on those qualifications. Lawyers that have attempted it have been fined Neither former candidate has done so. I find that to be suspicious.

The King of Saudi Arabia might be behind it all.. It has to be someone extremely powerful and wealthy. At 181 billion dollars, that makes this person suspicious at the very least. The Saudis have a reputation for manipulation behind the scenes.
What we have here is someone using his power to sculpture the military into an organization that will support him no matter what. Christians will obviously go with their morals and ethics. So yes, he needs to get rid of anyone with morals and ethics. That pretty much includes everyone with a Christian or Jewish faith in the military.

  • 0jr

good let the jews fight thier

  • Idaho Bob

My boys wanted to join, but I have discouraged them from doing so for many reasons. The faith issue is certainly right up there on the list. But, it’s not just the hostility towards those of the Christian faith, it’s the social engineering that is taking place. There is a level of brainwashing that goes well beyond the gungho mentality that was once taught. Now it’s the homo-ho push that bothers me. We are emasculating the military and in turn allowing our Nation to become weak and vulnerable. The military once wanted smart, strong, patriotic young men, now they want young men who want to be girls. How is this going to strengthen our national security? It’s not, and it looks like that’s the plan.

  • iris

I think one of the reasons for the demonization of Christians in the military, is to make it easier for our young men and women to carry out martial law once it is instigated, including handing over dissenters to police and using deadly force against the civilian population if deemed necessary, never mind that it is unconstitutional. Like W. said, “the Constitution is just a G-damned piece of paper”. The idea of an anti Christian military started shortly before 9/11, imo. Remember, the 1100 page document called the Patriot Act, already in place before 9/11 happened, was introduced and signed by all of Congress within 48 hours, unread by all but 2 legislators. That was under W’s administration, who was furthering his father’s call to a “New World Order”. O, I believe, is on a whole other level, but still, he is just pushing the ball which was handed to him from previous administrations. The Christian persecution being experienced in the rest of the world is now here in the U.S., and we need to be brave enough to stand up for the Lord and His gospel, regardless of what happens to us.

I wish you had been with us in 2003 when my daughter had her security clearance revoked because we are duel citizens of the United States and Israel. She was serving in the Air Force and had been deployed to Andrews AFB where she guarded Air Force One at times. She was asked, “If the United States went to war against Israel, would you fight and kill Jewish Israelis?” She answered, “No” and her security clearance was revoked. They tried to remove her from the Air Force, but she insisted they find her a job that did not require a security clearance, which they did so she could finish her enlistment.. They did and she did, but it derailed her career. She paid a price for being a Jewish believer in Yeshua.

The sad truth is that the intolerance and misrepresentation of Christian/Biblical views/teachings as espoused by certain evangelical groups have done irreparable harm to the cause of Christ. Many who profess to be Christians are motivated by hate rather than love for their fellow humans. No wonder the enemies of God find justification in discrediting Christianity because of the widespread apostasy and hypocrisy of Christian churches. “But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?” 1John 3:17

Some things that you might want to consider… The author and many of the commenters of this post believe (as I do) that we may be in or on the near edge of what is referred to as the “end times.” That being the case, when it has been pointed out that “Christians” are being purged from the ranks of the military and you ask “Could this be what Barack Obama wants?” You might want to consider what the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob wants! You might not want to think of this action as something “that has a very ominous ring to it.” Instead you might remember scripture related to the end times that states “TO COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE!” God is drawing ALL people to Himself that will come. He will continue to create circumstances (for all who have eyes to see) that will draw people away from the world and all of the various mechanisms that they rely on. This includes the military, capital hill, gold, silver, beans, bullets and even the Constitution itself! He will soon be showing Himself to be LORD to ALL people just as he did in the days of Noah and in the days of Moses! You might want to consider getting ready.

  • Why are Bible believing Christians in the U.S. Military to begin with? This is Caesar’s Roman Legion. Christians fighting for Rome? Really? I thought the Roman’s were against Christ and the Disciples?
True Christians need to get their priorities straight. Calvinism has done great harm to the Scriptures. Christians are pacifists. They reserve vengeance and judgment to God. They do not seek revenge upon America’s perceived enemies as Christians do not fight against flesh and blood. I’m glad Christians are being persecuted in the U.S. Military – that is the LORD’s way of telling them they should have never been in the Devil’s army to begin with.
