Amazing Prophecy From 1981 Says That The U.S. Economy Will Collapse After The Death Of Fidel Castro

economics-public-domainFour out of the five major events named in an incredible 1981 prophecy have already happened in consecutive order, and the only thing remaining to be fulfilled is “the collapse of the economic system of the United States”. On Friday, I logged into Facebook and I discovered that someone had sent me a message about a website that I had never heard about. I had a few spare minutes so I went and checked the website out and to be honest it was very poorly designed and so I only spent a moment looking at it before I moved on. Sadly, this is how things work on the Internet – if something does not capture our interest immediately we don’t have the patience to keep reading. But later I learned that this website contained a very old prophecy about the death of Fidel Castro which has very alarming implications for our near future.

For many years, my wife and I have been studying the dreams and visions that God has been giving to people all over the world about the future of America. Sometimes these dreams and visions are given to individuals that are very well known, and other times they are given to those that nobody really knows about.

Despite looking into these things for well over a decade, I had never heard of John W. Johnston before learning of this prophecy. He appears to have been a very simple man that lived near the beach in Virginia before moving to the mountains a couple of years ago. Since moving to the mountains he has only updated his website once, and that was in September 2014. At this point nobody seems to know what ultimately happened to him or if he is even still alive.

But his website is still up, and so somebody must be keeping an eye on things. And the reason why so many people are talking about John W. Johnston right now is because of something that God told him in 1981

“When you see that the Berlin wall comes down and when you see the Soviet Union take a severe blow then it makes a recovery, and then you see the death of Fidel Castro; then shall come the collapse of the economic system of the United States.”

This is an extraordinary prophecy, and in it Johnston was given five things to watch for.

The first event was the Berlin wall coming down, and that happened in November 1989.

The second event was a “severe blow” to the Soviet Union, and the collapse of the Soviet Union is generally regarded to have taken place in 1991.

The third event was a “recovery” for the Soviet Union, and without a doubt Russia is once again a major player on the world stage today.

The fourth event was the death of Fidel Castro, and that happened on Friday.

So the only thing remaining to be fulfilled is “the collapse of the economic system of the United States”.

Of course no time interval was given in the prophecy, and the other events have been fulfilled over many, many years, and so we can’t really say how quickly we should expect to see an economic collapse according to this prophecy.

But without a doubt, this prophecy definitely got my attention. Here it is again in the context in which it originally appeared on Johnston’s website

Around 1981 God gave me a prophetic word of knowledge that has been partially fulfilled. These events are time markers and very soon we will see the fulfillment of the rest of this word. The Lord told me the following:

“When you see that the Berlin wall comes down and when you see the Soviet Union take a severe blow then it makes a recovery, and then you see the death of Fidel Castro; then shall come the collapse of the economic system of the United States.”

The Berlin wall separated East Germany from West Germany for more than 25 years. The construction began on August 13, 1961. The wall was opened and many sections of it literally knocked down on November 9th, 1989.

The Soviet Union is considered to have officially dissolved on December 31, 1991. This is when all official Soviet institutions had stopped to function in the different “republics” of the Soviet Union. The individual governments of these republics started functioning separately. The Soviet flag flew for the last time over the Kremlin.

As you know Fidel Castro is now a very old man in his 80’s and his health is not well. Cuba could very soon see the death of it’s long time Dictator.

When you see Castro’s death then you will see the complete collapse of the economic system of America!

Needless to say, we need to use discernment when it comes to any prophecies.

Sadly, so much of the Christian world has such an unbalanced approach to prophecy today. Personally, I grew up going to mainstream churches that did not believe that God speaks to people today. So if anyone ever claimed to have received something from God they were immediately labeled a false prophet.

On the flip side, there are many believers out there today that don’t use any discernment whatsoever and just accept any “prophets” and “prophecies” that happen to come along. That is not balanced either.

Just as it has been throughout all of human history, there are many true prophets running around in our day, and there are also plenty of false prophets running around.

And without a doubt trying to discern between the two can be confusing at times.

One of the keys is to look at the track record of any individual that claims to be receiving something from God, because that will tell you a lot.

In Johnston’s case, there is not a lot to go on, but it is very encouraging to see that he has been shown many of the exact same things about the future of America that many proven prophets with extremely long track records have also been shown.

Specifically, Johnston has been shown that famine is coming to America, he has been shown the giant tsunami which is going to slam into the east coast someday, and he has been shown the Russian attack on the United States. The details of what Johnston was shown can be seen on his website.

As for the economic collapse that is coming, Johnston is just one among a multitude of men and women of God all over the world that have been shown that our economy is going to suffer like never before.

And now that Fidel Castro has died, according to Johnston’s prophecy there is nothing standing in the way of it happening.

We know that it is coming at some point, and the only question now is how soon it will arrive.

I believe the Lord speaks to us today because I have witnessed it first hand. I am not a prophet because that is not my calling. I have been healed and have been saved from an abusive childhood. When that happened I saw the Holy Spirit many years before it occurred. I have good discernment and when I saw the news, it was clear that his death was extremely important concerning the spirit realm. I. believe this prophecy is true.

Dear Michael, please, STOP with this nonsense. Didn’t you learn anything from the Shemitah and 4 Blood Moons debacle and it’s NON-events?? These are man made false prophecies. These people want to make a buck or some are genuinely deluded. But as Christians our only authority is the written Word. See Heb 1 – God, who in the past spoke through prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son… We have the eyewitness testimony from the apostles and Heb2:4 the signs and gifts of the Holy spirit were a testament.

Also read Deuteronomy 18 – clearly forbids divination and interpretation of omens, which is what these dumb “visions and dreams” are doing. They look to natural phenomena and human events to foretell the future, exactly the same as pagan sorcerers do. Please, do not be so undiscerning as to spread these false and ridiculous notions to the hapless public. It is bringing ridicule to the faith.

Please educate yourself further in these things. They have been debunked thoroughly many times, eg see Roseborough’s Fighting for the faith and search terms like ‘Shemitah’.

The “”beast”” receives a deadly wound, it is written, the economy is the beast and it’s gonna receive a deadly wound and only the anti-Christ will heal it (the watchers and satan coming to earth, book of enoch).. People are not mentally capable of grasping the spiritual beings that are coming to be the messiahs of the earth, flesh and blood can not enter the kingdom of heaven, as long as we are in the flesh, we will not see the true king, lord of lords, Jesus Christ. It is written, the ”the whole world will wonder after the beast”, when the economy is destroyed, and the instinct to survive kicks in, people will do anything to survive, including bow down to the ”mark” once satan takes over, including Christians;, the sealed 144,000 will not take the mark, and they are the 144,000 pillars that resemble the pyramid of giza, and the missing headstone, is Jesus Christ. They, Smyrna, and Philadelphia, who understand who the synagogue of satan is, will be witnesses to the truth, and witness for the true Jesus Christ, the messiah, it is written, have you not read it or understood it????

The Bible is the only true measure of Truth and reliable source for 100% fulfilled prophecy. Its seems like many want to collapse to happen so much that they will grasp at any man’s prophecy that “seems to fit”

Problem is that there are no dates, so according to this prophet, the economic collapse will occur “sometime” after Castro dies……if you look at the writing on the wall as it were, most would agree that collapse is coming.

I am sorry Michael, I am having a real hard time giving credance to these people who “hear from God” with no mention of the holiness of God and the command to repent of sin and get right with God.

I am also not saying that the Lord is not speaking to folks today, but, the the discernment caps need to be on snugly, because, we are definetly living in the end and deciept and apostacy are running rampant, and their are a lot of heritics “hearing from god”

This also reveals a distinction of focus between those who are pre-trib, or mid or post trib rapture belief. It also takes focus off what the Bible says is coming, and focuses on what man says is coming to America, exactly one of the strategies of the devil himself.

Good point. God’s Word is unique in the biblical prophecies list events that have happened through history, give dates and name names. God isn’t part correct. Other so-called “prophecies” are more obscure (e.g., Nostradamus provided 14,000 quatrains which is so many that a lot can be interpreted as being “close” – often proponents do whatever they can to try to make them “fit”).

Excellent comments Paul Patriot. I’ve heard a lot of, “The LORD told me…” over the last few years and what He supposedly said to these people just doesn’t jive with scripture.

There are a lot of misconceptions about true prophesy but scripture specifically lays out how to tell if a prophet is true or not.

The first mention of prophesy in scripture says that if a prophet tells you something and it comes true that is a true prophet. However, that is not the only place or criteria scripture gives us by which to tell! Other passages, when added to the first, giveus a comprehensive process by which to judge prophets.

Deuteronomy 13:1-10 is the first comprehensive instruction on true and false prophets in scripture. In it we learn that God will actually a FALSE prophet to His people, that prophesizes TRUE prophesies to TEST us as to whether we will obey His instructions or not. Balaam is the most famous of the false prophets in scripture who prophesized true events and we see his doctrine specifically mentioned a couple of times as being among the 7 churches in the Revelation. Today, many believe if a miracle is done or a prophesy comes true it must be God. Not so, according to God!!

The second test, after whether something comes true of not, is whether the person actually teaches and lives the Word of God. I don’t mean the traditions handed down by men that are practiced today. I mean these people live according to the clear instructions contained in Gods Word as to how one is to walk righteously before Him.

Jeremiah also instructs us concerning false prophets: “The anger of the LORD will not turn back until he has performed and carried out the purposes of His heart [If we are wise, we should have a good idea of His purposes!]; in the last days you will clearly understand it. I did not send these prophets, but they ran. I did not speak to them, but they prophesied. But IF they had stood in My council, then they would have annnounced My Words to MY people, and would have turned them back from their evil way and from the evil of their deeds.” (Jer. 23:20-22)

What we see in both Deuteronomy and Jeremiah is that God expects people to live by His Words and not by the words of men. Jesus also spoke about how the scribes and Pharisees taught the doctrines of men and subtituted them for the commandments of God. (Mark 7) While many today “claim” the Law has “passed away”, we see that Jesus, in the NT, taught both Moses and Jeremiah to the scribes and Pharisees. Obviously, they weren’t keeping “the Law” despite what preachers of today claim. Interestingly, the setting for Jeremiah 23 is the 2nd coming of Jesus and His judgment of the false shepherds/prophets of today!! Good food for thought!

What do we do with Michael’s article? First, we need to know who the man was that wrote the prophesies. Second we need to know if he actually lived in obedience to ALL of God’s Word. If so, we need to pay attention. This information is missing from the article. Third, we also need to understand God WILL speak through those who do not know Him, to test His own people, and their prophesies may well come true.
If we then follow them and live like they do instead of in line with the Word, we should expect to kneel before a Jesus who says, “Depart from Me you workers of lawlessness. I never knew you!” (Mt. 7:23) The real problem is that we never KNEW Him! We just knew what a bunch of other men said about Him and men are liars!

The prophecy above, in its original context…is this what was written in 1981, because if it was, it claims Fidel Castro was an old man in his 80’s. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Castro just died at the age of 90, and this ‘prophecy’ is supposed to be 35 years old. Do the math.

  • Barry Goldwater

I see no possible reason why the death of a two-bit tyrant who ruled the “basket case economy” of Cuba for 50 years could trigger the collapse of any nation’s economy.
Sorry, but this makes no sense at all !
It’s true we do have serious issues none of which are beyond repair if we as a nation bite the bullet and get work but whether we win or lose Castro’s death will not be a determining factor.

    • David

I agree Barry Goldwater. I also fail to see the connection between the 2 events.

the economic collapse in America will happen shortly after Trump’s Inauguration. The Spit & Bubblegum used to hold it together (Federal Reserve Quantitative Easing Program) is not working anymore.
They are having a hard time holding back the tsunami of Defaults & Bankruptcies that will soon follow “The Crash”.
Trump is their perfect scapegoat & the Globalists will blame it on Trump
AND all of the Americans that voted for him. we all know that bad financial decisions & market manipulations have had a hand in our Financial demise longgggggggggggggggggggggg before Trump ever decided to run for president. but the truth is the Globalists Hate Trump & want to get even for all the money they lost betting on their now Politically dead Hillary. they will blame Trump & YOU for voting him in office & wash their hands of it and hold themselves blameless.

This is why God never had a lot of Prophets in the Bible… Way to easy to say “thus saith the lord”… Like the one prophet that said you do not have to be born again for salvation, and yet people just flocked to him and now boohoo over him… Where has discernment gone…

If you want to know how it will all go down, read “The Great Controversy” by Ellen G White. Don’t bother googling her name, you won’t read anything nice about her. The Internet is loaded with slander of her. Read the book for yourself and draw your own conclusions. There are websites where you can read it online for free. The book starts with the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. and goes down through the dark ages and into the present and ends with fairly detailed predictions of how this earth will end.

It’s amazing how many people consider her a false prophet. She talks like a broken record about the importance of obeying God and keeping His commandments. What kind of a false prophet goes around talking like that? Anyway, like I said, read the book and judge for yourself.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have been under many prophetic men and ministries in my life. Over the past 8 years a lot of great prophetic men have died and their words are now coming to pass. I do not think it is a coincidence. Men like David Wilkerson, Oral Roberts, John Paul Jackson, Bob Jones, and even just last week Kim Clement. The Lord brings them to prepare us for what is coming but most will laugh and mock them. A prophet never receives his reward in his own time because we are a calloused and unbelieving generation. It happen to the most high. Jesus was a prophet and he was Son of God. The things he spoke about in his time still have not come completely come to pass and those who do not know him will say he is a false prophet today. But every word will one day pass. To the Lord a day is a like a thousand years…
