A Second Night Of Riots Rocks Charlotte As America Teeters On The Edge Of Chaos

charlotte-riots-youtube-screenshotRioting and civil unrest are becoming a common occurrence in America. The city of Charlotte has been hit by a second night of violence even though authorities are desperately pleading for calm. What sparked the chaos in Charlotte was the shooting of a 43-year-old black man named Keith Lamont Scott. It appears that he was armed when he was shot, and the police officer that shot him was also black, but those facts have done little to ease the fury of the protesters. On Tuesday night 16 police officers were injured by rioters, including one that was hit in the face by a rock. Hopefully there will be fewer casualties by the time the violence on Wednesday night is over.

So far things don’t look good though. The following is how USA Today is describing the violence that we have witnessed so far on Wednesday night…

A second night of dramatic protests gripped this North Carolina city Wednesday night, one day after a police-involved shooting of an African-American man led to angry demonstrations, smashed windows and trucks set ablaze.

Protesters beat against a police van and broke a window of the Ciity Smoke barbecue restaurant and bar downtown. Some yelled “hands up, don’t shoot.” Police tossed out smoke bombs. Protesters running outside of the Omni Charlotte Hotel said someone had been shot but that could not immediately be confirmed Wednesday night.

Later on it was confirmed that someone indeed was shot. In fact, local news is reporting that there is a pool of blood on the ground

At least one person was injured in the confrontation, though it wasn’t immediately clear how.

They shot him,” one witness told WBTV. “They tried to cover up his blood.”

Firefighters rushed in to pull the man to a waiting ambulance.

Officers on bicycles surrounded a pool of blood on the ground and a few people threw bottles and clods of dirt at police.

Of course this follows an extremely tense night of violence and chaos that made headlines all over the globe. Just hours after Keith Lamont Scott was shot, hundreds of very angry protesters descended on downtown Charlotte

Several hundred people blocked streets well after midnight, despite the use of tear gas by police in riot gear. Clouds of tear gas drifted over the crowd, and people coughed and fell back before walking toward police lines again multiple times.

They held signs that said “Stop Killing Us” and “Black Lives Matter,” and they chanted “No justice, no peace.” One sign read: “IT WAS A BOOK.”

The scene was sometimes chaotic and tense, with water bottles and stones thrown at police lines, but many protesters called for peace and implored their fellow demonstrators not to act violently.

In addition to 16 police officers being injured, there were reports that rioters were hurling “rocks, bottles and traffic cones off interstate overpasses”. A number of vehicles were hit, and injuries were reported.

This kind of mindless violence makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Those drivers had nothing to do with the shooting, but an object thrown at a vehicle from an overpass can literally kill someone.

How would killing a totally innocent person bring justice for Keith Lamont Scott?

Sadly, this is what happens when riots start. They all too often spin wildly out of control.

In addition to everything else, one group of protesters decided that it would be a really good idea to loot a Wal-Mart

Protesters headed to the Walmart on N. Tryon in the University area after shutting down Interstate-85 at WT Harris Blvd. early Wednesday morning following the shooting death of 43-year-old Keith Lamont Scott.

Officers in riot gear blocked the entry to Walmart after it was broken into. Employees could be seen sweeping up shattered glass at the front entrance.

One employee told FOX 46 Charlotte some technology was stolen including, a flat screen television and iPads.

Once again, stealing televisions and iPads is not going to do anything to bring justice for Keith Lamont Scott. There are always people that see chaos as an opportunity to take advantage of others, and this is yet another example. We live in a society that is an advanced state of moral decay, and situations like this bring it to the surface.

What is truly unfortunate is that it sounds like the police actually followed correct procedure in this case. According to Police Chief Kerr Putney, Keith Lamont Scott was armed and refused to drop his weapon after repeated demands to do so…

Police Chief Kerr Putney said during a news conference that officers were searching for a suspect Tuesday when they saw Scott exit a vehicle with a handgun at an apartment complex on the city’s northeast side. “The officers gave loud, clear verbal commands which were also heard by many of the witnesses. They were instructing the subject, once he got out of the vehicle, to drop the weapon… Mr. Scott exited his vehicle armed with a handgun as the officers continued to yell at him to drop it.”

Unfortunately, we have gotten to a point where a riot is almost expected every time an African-American male is shot by police in this country. I think that Rush Limbaugh put it very well on his radio show…

It’s a sad observation, folks. I’m telling you, a sad, sad observation but it’s an observation that I don’t think I’m alone in making. It seems like rioting is almost expected now when there is a cop shooting. A cop shooting, period. Don’t care about the details. It seems like it’s now axiomatic that there’s going to be rioting or massive public protests or threats of rioting or threats of unrest every time the cops have to draw their weapons.

Without a doubt, police brutality in the United States is out of control, and this is something that I have been writing about for a very long time.

But rioting, looting and violence are not going to solve anything.

We desperately need to learn how to love one another, and we desperately need to come together as a nation to work on finding some solutions.

Instead, America is becoming increasingly divided, and anger and frustration are rising to unprecedented levels.

And if we are witnessing this much chaos now, while things are still relatively stable, what are things going to look like once economic conditions get really bad?

Our society is literally coming apart at the seams, and the chaos and the violence are going to get much worse than this. We wanted to push God out of every aspect of public life, and now we are beginning to see what that looks like.

This is the penalty of too many lies. The news the Government, the police, no longer are believed. So even when a shooting may be just, how many believe?

    • jaxon64

K, .. I am mentally exhausted by all of the mind games. Ina city with a liberal/Dem mayor, a black city council, a black chief of police, a black police officer shoots a gun wielding black criminal and …drumroll please……..it’s WHITEY’s fault !!
Same in Baltimore–black mayor, city council, police chief and 3 of the officers charged in the death of the career criminal and drug dealer were black–it’s because of “oppression”
Millionaire athletes, most who got free college also with scholarships, are protesting “oppression” yet there is no country on the face of the planet where they could live so lavishly and free. Pick ANY country in Africa or Asia and tell me what Kapaernick thinks his quality of life would be there?

      • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

And they are distorting the issue of police misconduct by depicting it as injustice against black citizens, as if whites and Hispanics are never beaten, shot, wrongly arrested and unjustly imprisoned by the forces of government. African-Americans separate themselves, fiercely holding onto their claim to exclusive victimhood. It’s all about THEM. All about racism. Even if it’s a black cop who fired the shot. These protestors are as stubborn and as unreasonable as could be.

        • iris

Yes, it really seems to be all about divide and conquer these days. What about people just being seen as people aside from race, and justice prevailing in all circumstances? Lots of polarization being pushed, but the result is that it’s not looking good for the good guys, whomever they may be.

          • iris

Sorry, I got off topic from your point, which I agree with. I do think that same mindset is going on with the jihadists and white supremacists, though.

  • cash ban coming

I bet Rush won’t say that George Soros funds some of the riots.

    • iris

Perhaps, him and or others in high places. Kids were getting paid to riot in the 60s. The rich ones didn’t need to get paid, and many of those, traded in their peace signs for mercedes symbols and government positions.

  • im4truth4all

The following information is for orthodox Catholics. A recent book called “The Five Beasts of St. Hildegard – Prophetic Symbols of Modern Society” describes 5 brief historical periods that must take place which are back to back and prepare the way for the Antichrist. The 5 Beasts represent the brief historical periods. There is also no conditionality to the prophecy. St. Hildegard was made a Doctor of the Catholic Church by Pope Benedict.
The book is easy reading and only 84 pages. The author makes a very compelling case, in my opinion, that we are coming to the end of the 4th period if we have not already completed it. What is particularly alarming is the violent nature of the 5th period. At the end of the 5th period will come the son of perdition.

  • VigilanteCaregiver

Up late last night – couldn’t sleep (again). Saw the whole thing unfold.

A few Black Nationalists were there in the first few hours of media coverage. Easy to spot with the red, black, and green flag patches. Interesting they got there so fast.

And to think, this is the same city that preached peace after that Dylan Roof psycho killed 9 people in the historic Emanuel Church last year. No race riots after that.

    Why riot now?

    • shot injured man

Dylan Roof was found with Suboxone, a dangerous mind-altering drug.

One reason that other advanced societies don’t have so many mass killings could be because they don’t poison as many of their children with pharmaceutical drugs. According to a 2008 study, U.S. kids are 3 times more likely than European children to be prescribed psychotropic drugs.

      • iris

        Yep.

  • Pryman

Yeah, like the killing of that “Bad Dude!”, I mean brother in Tulsa just the night before, along with all those other murders done to unarmed Black men, women, and children by these murdering cops, and how they continue not getting charged, has nothing to do with this. Speaking of those recent clown sightings, it appears this site is becoming more full of them. Then again, the KKK thought they were Christians.

    • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

It’s not just white cops killing blacks, and if you don’t get that, then go to a FB page called “Killed By Police” and you’ll see what this is really all about. BTW, the cop who shot that guy in Tulsa was charged with manslaughter.

      • Pryman

I remember you. Anyway, I’m not in the mode to go back and forth with anybody here, but I will take time to correct you and let you know it was a White policewoman, not a guy. But feeling satisfied just because she was charged, and not yet convicted, shows how bad racial injustice has gotten for African-Americans. Nonetheless I’m a little shocked that they would charge a White policewomen so quick, when so many White policemen escaped charges lately, like the one who choked out Eric Garner on camera, just because he broke up a fight…that’s right, it wasn’t for selling loosies. I heard the man who filmed it say it out his own mouth last week, who the system came down on just for filming the incident. But that’s another story won’t hear here. But if they had rioted when he was killed, or after that murdering cop got off, you bet you would have heard both stories hear.

Then you wonder why America is falling. Actually, it’s been falling way before this site came into existence. But the stench has reached into the heavens, and God is showing signs for not listening to his warnings. That’s the biggest thing the OP is right about. But the warning part, I don’t think so, because he continues to divide Black people when he blatantly fails over and over again to discuss the murders these cops have been getting away with against Black men, women, and children, then choose to focus on the riots, and how they shouldn’t be justified. Anyway people on all levels are way to blind and confused these days, and they have way too much hatred. It’s gotten so bad Jerry Rice changed his mind, and like me, supports Colin Kaepernick. Even Michael Jordan spoke out today. So you know the police have gotten out of hand to make him come out from hiding.

  • ISA41:10

Playing the victim and casting the blame. As if these people are incapable of making a simple decision on their own. We’re to believe blacks are just innocent child-like victims taken horrible advantage of by the big bad people writing out the checks.

Give me a break. At the very minimum blacks are willing participants in this nightmare and have sold out their own for pennies on the dollar. Blacks have an ongoing symbiotic relationship with the Democrats and it benefits both of them.

Blacks have shown over the decades they have little to offer civilization outside their ability to vote and sway elections. That’s what they’re paid to do.

If they want a better life they can get a better job. It’s a simple decision.
    Stop with this victim nonsense.

    • Guest

You are right. They have the same opportunity as every other American. There have been many who have come from hard lives of poverty & have made something of themselves. Ben Carson, Allen West..the homeless young Georgia youth who rode a bike 50mile to go to college. These demonstrators only want everything handed to them for free..I’m sick of it. so I have zero sympathy for any of them. The depth of lawlessness & depravity we have sank to as a society is sickening. When you justify your anger by attacking innocent people who happen to be within your reach irregardless of skin color

  • Pete Okuhira

    Coming soon: a police state

  • Paul Patriot

It’s ironic that the criminals ,( rioters) never seem to admit the possibility that the person who was shot by the police, was not the little Angel they make him out to be. Of course none of the eyewitnesses seem to be think this man had nothing but a book on him.

In NC, it is law to let an officer know you are carrying a gun, of course criminals do not adhere to this law, and if one does notify officer up in stop, and then officer discovers a gun later during the stop, how does that look from the officers perspective?

I am against police abuse, police militarization and want to see all ” bullies with badges” relieved of their jobs, but, do we really think this officer started his day out that day intending to shoot someone???? I don’t think so.

The truth may reveal that Keith Lamont, did in fact have a gun, which most likely meant he had a record, (or he would have clay told the cop he was legally carrying, and he would be alive today)

The officer who shot him is facing a radical change in his whole life now, legally, economically, etc. No, I don’t think he woke up thinking he was going to want to shoot someone that day.

These riots reveal the evil in people’s hearts and reveal their true nature, but destroying property and harming others all in the name of “protesting”

Like Michael always says, can you imagine how these folks would act after an economic collapse or emp, and if we find ourselves in the WROL situation?

This nation needs its hearts and minds changed in repentance of our rebellious ways.

    • jaxon64

His family should be prosecuted. His sister who started the whole, “it was a book” lie on Facebook and Twitter, wasn’t even at the scene!!
All of the family, who are causing riots with their lies and trying to profit from their criminal brother’s death should be immediately arrested and charged with inciting riots and abetting violence and murder.

      • iris

Agree. Same with proven collusion among family members of terrorists, whether white supremacists, radical jihadists, etc., or aiding and abetting. Were these people brainwashed as children, most probably so, but the law is still the law, society can’t function without it until Christ’s return. Tptb want us all under martial law, which will entail gun registration followed by confiscation. Then the criminals, whether in or outside of the governments, will still have them.

        • freewheelinfranklin543

White Supremacists,Radical Jihadis,BLM,ect.,ect.,ect. It is called controlled opposition. They are using their useful idiots to start a race war which will lead to martial law. Problem!
          Reaction! Solution! Very Hegelian!

          • iris

VERY! But it saddens me to see the brainwashed, blanket statements of hate and fear being made between races (er, should say, the appearance of race, since there is no pure race). I know, I know, there are commenters here who would vehemently disagree with me on that, although its certainly not supported by scientific evidence. My great uncle had his back broken by the Nazis and my parents had a cross burned in their front yard, with children asleep 15 feet away, but I don’t hate all Germans or white people, and the cross burning helped to teach me that there is a great difference between hateful people and the loving Lord Jesus. Yet, you’re so right, the goal of those controlling this dialectic is more oppressive and pervasive than these who are driven by subjective emotions, arrogance or naivete, can imagine, if it is achieved.

          • iris

typo, should have said it’s, not its, and in reference to their opinion being unsupported by fact.

      • Paul Patriot

Agree 100% thank you for your great comments.

    • iris

I completely agree with you. And the officer who shot him was also black. Black lives do matter, what about what happens to the officer’s and that of his family? Will they get death threats? The human phenomenon of herd mentality was in full force in reaction to the incident. If a person has a carry conceal permit, they’re probably not using it for mal intent, but self defense, and would know to drop their weapon immediately upon instruction from an officer. The eye witnesses saw his gun and heard officers tell him multiple times to drop his weapon.

      • Paul Patriot

Agreed. Thank you for your great comment.

  • Planetcide Madness

George Soros is funding the BLM group to do exactly what you are seeing. It’s a staged movement to create racial instabilities in America. And Americans are taking the bait.

    • Iam Chosen

Yep! He’s pushing hard for martial law to be called :[

      • iris

I believe you, but can you supply some evidence? I doubt seriously that he’s the only one, either. I think we’re looking at powers higher up in this world system, which are calling for “global governance” and “the new world order”. Their orders, that is.

What did “God” ever do for anyone when it came to protecting and preserving “public life”? What are you talking about?
Why do you do this to yourself? Why do you dumb down otherwise excellent prose with childish nonsense as in the two examples above?
    Stop it, man.

The consequences of generation crack babies are coming home to roost. There’s no reasoning with these imbeciles, none whatsoever. They riot and destroy over dead thugs because they want free soda, free skittles, free shoes. No wonder reasonable black people want nothing to do with these imbeciles. So what are cops supposed to do when an armed thug refuses to drop his weapon? Talk nicely to him? Is that what policing is going to become?

That slob George Soros is guilty as well because he personally funds these movements.

You’re the person who last year kept saying it’s coming in September.

      • iris

Looks like he’s been right. And this UN/France/Obama thing to further divide Israel+, is now hanging over our heads.

        • wd

He was referring to the collapse of the financial system.

          • iris

I think it’s all related, but point taken.

          • GetReal4U2

it IS ALL related…these “biblical”…”once in a lifetime”…”once in a decade”…”never seen before:…”perfect conditions”…floods and fires…but America continues to refuse to REPENT…the final judgements for a nation wayward from God is economic collapse and military defeat,,,

          • iris

Yes, indeed. No nation is above God.

          • Paul Patriot

Amen. Too many people refuse to see that we are already in judgement and all the things you wrote are correct, and let’s not forget the invasion of Islamic folks all in the name of “refugees”

This invasion is not just refugees, but jihadist minded immigrants who are waiting to gain the “upper house” and are patiently waiting for what Muslims refer to as the “zero hour” , at which time they will begin there concentrated terrorism upon a sleeping, distracted, apathetic population that is affected with normalcy bias.

This is yet another reason for the push to disarm the population, to make us helpless against our attackers, whom our own government is aiding, abetting and funding!!!

The truth is so insane, that the only explanation to me is that it is the judgment of God on this nation that is allowing such convergence.

ONE thing (and only one) that I can say the traitor obummer was truthful about, was that he promised to “fundamentally change America”

Under his leadership, he has done one heck of a job doing so.

      • GetReal4U2

and the shmitah year did start in September…if you have seen what going on during this climax year you must have your head in the sand…I never claimed the world would end…simply a change in seasons…God’s calendar is STILL very much in effect…the Israel “peace” plan will bring about an economic collapse and ,military defeat for America…

        • watchmannonthewall

I’d like to point out that God said (Ex 12) “This shall be the beginning of months for you” to Moses and in Deuteronomy 16, Israel was commanded to guard, keep watch over, the month of Aviv. This is the first month of the year and sets God’s calendar for the rest of the year.

Just because the Jews have historically done things the way they want and have not been obedient to what God said, as Jesus rebuked them in Mark 7, “You teach the doctrines of men for the commandments of God and thereby make His commandments of no effect”, does not mean the Shmitah year begins in the seventh month of Tishri. There is nothing written in scripture supporting such a claim, though through rearranging letters in the first word of Bereshiet (Genesis) they come up with their doctrine.

What God said is that His calendar begins in Aviv. This is the calendar of Redemption, and tells the entire redemption story of Jesus using the Feasts of the LORD. The shmitah year ends as Sukkot, logically, when the sin debt is forgiven, at the wedding supper of the Lamb.

Our failure to keep God’s calendar, as He stated, does not allow us to tie the meaning of the Feasts to the spiritual work of redemption Jesus accomplished and when such events occur.

It is understandably why the Jews do not realize the importance of beginning the year at the right time as God commanded, since they do not recognize the work of Messiah in the first advent. However, those of that tribe, as well as Christians who understand the scriptures, have no excuse for holding onto their tradition of beginnning the year in 7th month.

You may disagree, as do many, but I trust you will prayerfully consider the deeper spiritual meanings of God’s calendar in determining which calendar you will follow.

    • iris

Yes, so true. Post modern thinking has certainly contributed to that. I don’t know your age, Get Real, but I’ve noticed that our children’s generation has been inundated with the concept that there is no absolute truth, and that reality is only what we think it is. When there’s no base, these behaviors make sense to those doing them.

      • GetReal4U2

agreed,,,sadly…we have turned the department of “education” over to the liberals….NO ACCOUNTABLE and “safe spaces” have replace analytical thinking…generations have been taught “new history”..a MAJOR shaking is about to occur within America…

        • iris

Yes, Dewey and others did our education system a great disservice.

      • Paul Patriot

Well said. I read a book called “The new absolutes” by William Watkins, where he breaks down in detail the shift in thinking over the past few decades.

It’s very disturbing, how radically the culture and society change, just by changing people view (mind) and their worldview.

        • iris

Yes, it is disturbing. It seems many believe that the only absolute is that there is none. There’s nothing new under the sun, though. Pontius Pilate asked Jesus Christ, “What is truth?”, before he allowed for His crucifixion. Of course, God gave Himself purposefully for us all, to provide the way of salvation. May He return soon!

  • DJohn1

I suggest that we bring in the army. Capture the rioters in the act. Then put them in prison for 5 to 10 years.
That will stop it cold everywhere. No one has a right to riot in this country, period.
I would add 5 years for every weapon found upon a rioter.
I would put them in a military court charged with sedition. As a POW, they probably have more rights than in a civil court. But I have more faith in a military court room than a civilian one in which they might get off free.
If and when George Soros or anyone else is caught funding riots then they need to go to jail as well.
We have an agency for Homeland Security which I disagree with as to its constitutional legality. But we do have it and it provides for situations like this if it is utilized. And Due Process is not part of the law. Yes, any one of us can be locked up without Due Process of a lawyer and they can throw away the key if they want to under this law.
Meaning they are worse than a KGB outfit. But in situations where people choose to riot, steal, murder, and other crimes, it may apply.
That a standing President is not using that law to stop riots is questionable at best.
Is there a foreign connection involved? Could be. Maybe not.
ISIS and other groups may be involved. No proof yet.
Such proof would come out if these rioters are in jail, possibly for a very long time.

    • iris

We are supposed to have a right to peaceful protest, although during certain political campaigns going back for years now, people have not even been allowed to stand silently on sidewalks holding signs. I agree that rioters should be arrested, etc., but one of the safeguards we’ve had in place under the Constitution says that the military cannot arrest or attack its own citizens, aside from military justice procedure within itself. For non military situations, what applies to one citizen breaking the law, should be the same procedure coming from the same source, for all citizens.

      • iris

This is what makes the Patriot Acts 1 and 2 so dangerous to law abiding citizens. Like you said, it’s unconstitutional. Who’s to say, in our climate of political correctness, that even holding a Bible in public, won’t soon be a cause for arrest, as there are folks out there now, who view even reading the Bible in public as a hate crime.

  • carson

mankind has had…well since adam and eve sinned in the garden of eden and sin entered the world…to learn how to love and behave…

    and haven’t.
Mankind cannot learn of his own self how to love and maintain that because sin has entered.
He can behave for some times and show natural love for some times but natural love is not God’s love and behaving is not a changed heart and the fleshly heart wants to revert back to fleshly ways.

A heart can only change..or be replaced (since the ‘change’ is in fact from outside and apart from oneself but comes from God, to have Christ dwelling within) when a person is born again in Christ and is the very reason why any and all needs be born again.
Adam sinned and sin entered the world and all are born on down the line from adam, sin has entered, a person must be born again to have a goodness that does not sprout from oneself but comes from above, comes from Christ alone.
Self goodness is not salvation, is not the righteousness of Christ, and also is powerless in the face of the devil and the flesh nature itself.
2nd timothy 3:5..a form of godliness but denied the power thereof…without power and approaching the day’s of rev 12:12 who can stand in their own flesh strength? None.
Have Christ have life and power to stand for God is able to make His own stand and practice love and goodness.

Behaving has great immediate rewards, yes all should behave!..but salvation and Christ dwelling within and the power of the Holy Spirit is what’s needed.
The devil don’t care about those with a form of godliness, they too are ensnared (see 2nd timothy 2:26) since they have denied the power of God.

and with all that’s prophesied it’s clear that all who insist on walking in the flesh continue on the wide road that leads to hell til the Lord Jesus returns and puts an end to the way’s of the world the flesh and the devil, but why follow them and self anymore, have Christ have life.

    • iris

      So very true, thank you!
