A Hot New Fashion Trend Has Men Dressing In Skirts, Dresses And 8 Inch Heels

How would you feel if a man walked into a business meeting wearing a skirt and 8 inch heels? 20 years ago that would have been absolutely unthinkable, but if one American designer has his way that may soon become the norm. When I saw photos on Facebook of Thom Browne’s latest line for men, I have to admit that I was floored. If you have not seen what I am talking about yet, you can do so here and here. Personally, I believe that men should dress like men and women should dress like women, but much of society is moving in the exact opposite direction.

In recent years we have been hearing a lot about “gender fluidity”, and this is yet another example of that phenomenon. The distinctions between men and women are being blurred, and there are many that would like to eliminate them altogether.

Given enough time, could we eventually get to the point where it is just as acceptable for men to wear skirts and heels as it is for women? Apparently Thom Browne wants us to have these kinds of conversations

Gender fluidity in style is no longer a thing for only women, but men too. Thom Browne, an American designer seems to think men should embrace the trend too and rock a few pieces ‘borrowed from the girls’. His spring summer collection presented at the ongoing Men’s fashion week had a slew of dress shirts, tunics, maxi dresses and skirts all worn with pointy toe heels.

Who says what a man should and shouldn’t wear? The collection seems to drive a conversation many of us never want to have. And, if a woman can wear a pantsuit, why can’t a man wear a skirt suit? Probably, this is what the designer wanted to us to talk about.

For Browne, he figures that since we all wore similar clothing as babies that we should be able to do the same thing once we reach adulthood. The following quote from Browne comes from Vogue

“I like the idea that when you are a baby you wear pretty much the same clothing as your brothers and sisters. And I think that culture dictates which way and what kind of clothing you wear—but it is nice that you can pretty much do whatever you want.”

Doing whatever is right in our own eyes may make a lot of sense for Browne, but a society without gender would be complete chaos. God created both men and women for a reason, and trying to eradicate masculinity and femininity would be a tragic mistake.

In particular, there seems to be a tremendous effort in our society today to feminize men. By now just about everyone has heard about the “metrosexual” trend, and more recently there has been a push to make “rompers for men” fashionable…

For too many years, men have suffered from a lack of options in the fashion realm. So, four Chicago-based business school buds sought to rectify this injustice by introducing to the world (for better or for worse) the male romper — er the RompHim.

“Turn heads and break hearts when you take your RompHim for a spin,” reads the product description. “Is it a romper specifically designed for men? Sure, but it’s also so much more.”

When I see men dressed in rompers, part of me wants to laugh, but another part of me wonders where all of this is heading.

Instead of “male” and “female”, are we ultimately headed for a “genderless” era where most people will fall on a “spectrum” somewhere between the two genders? Even now, some major stars in the entertainment industry are fully embracing the “genderless” label. For example, just consider what Miley Cyrus had to say during one recent interview…

“I think I’m weird because that I feel very genderless; I feel ageless; I feel like I’m just a spirit soul, not even divided by human being, or I treat the animals the same or, hopefully, treat the planet with as much respect as possible,” Cyrus said during an interview on Lorraine, a U.K. morning show.

“I feel very much like there’s no ‘us’ and ‘them’. There’s no ‘me’ and ‘you’. I feel like I’m kind of just — I want to be everything, and I want to be also kind of nothing. I just want to be able to be myself,” she continued.

That is just weird.

But tens of millions of young people around the globe absolutely adore Miley Cyrus and look up to her as a role model.

So as Miley Cyrus embraces a “genderless identity”, it is inevitable that large numbers of other young people will follow in her footsteps.

This is yet another example that shows that we need to be very careful about what we feed into our minds. The average American consumes approximately five hours of television “programming” a day, and it is inevitable that all of that “programming” is going to have a dramatic impact on how we all see the world.

After thousands upon thousands of hours of “programming”, many of us may be ready to accept just about anything – and that includes men dressing in skirts and heels.

Different cultures have had varying dress habits for men and women throughout history. In Celtic tradition, it’s very masculine for a man to wear a kilt, in the Renaissance, men wore bright colors, high collars on women in Asian societies, but the distinction was almost always somehow made between men and women. Imo, this is more of an act of rebellion or confusion regarding identity. True story of a short white man who walked into a class of university students recently, and told them he was a woman. Everyone celebrated his courage and applauded. Then he told them he was racially black, answered with, you’re whoever you think you are or want to be. Then he told them he was tall. Only one young person raised her hand and mentioned that he was actually short, which incurred total silence from the enlightened group. He had made his point and quietly walked out of the room. I wonder how the rest of the class treated that young woman for stating the obvious. Now, some of our restrooms and dressing rooms aren’t safe for women and children, because we don’t want to offend anyone. Anyone can claim on any given hour or day, to be whom or whatever they wish in order to gain entrance into a men’s or women’s private space.

    • jaxon64

I would be the one to tell the guy he is a short, white man—- “Sorry sir, but the average male height in the US is 5″10″ and you are 5’4”, you are short. You are also Caucasian which is in your DNA–Caucasoid humans come from European ancestry. You are also male as per the Y chromosome in your basic make-up, no amount of surgery, dresses, mental confusion or willfulness on your part will every change your XY chromosomes—sir, you are a short, white, male–case closed.

      • David Mowers

Like Donald Trump did when he walked into the Miss Teen Universe dressing rooms to comment on the teenage girls bodies?

        • Grim Fandango

Big difference, and you know it or you’re either a dolt, or a Trump hater.

The Miss Universe contestants are willingly on display, and enjoy the attention they receive. Trump did not sneak into their dressing room unannounced, but was knowingly invited, as many others are.

Little girls in the bathroom, or trying on clothes in a supposedly protected area, that are creeped on by perverts is one whole other thing.

And again, I would crush his skull and suffer the consequences.

          • David Mowers

I am stating exactly what the women said happened on national television. Contestants do not agree to be viewed while dressing by the franchise owner.

            AND I voted for Trump.

So… you saw a few contestants whining on CNN, and somehow you believe that it wasn’t conceived and produced by their Fake News&#169 department?

Isn’t it enough that a lot of women are paying the consequences of wearing high heeled shoes, without adding men too? I remember my mom always complainig about her painful feet, duh! She lived to be 95, but the last 10-15 years she had to use a walker, and I had to constantly take her to a podiatrist. So now this idiot designer wants us men to wear high heel shoes. I’m sure there are a lot of nancy boys out there that will comply with both the latter, and skirts. Lol!

    • NazdaPokmov

Wearing high heels actually shortens your calf muscles. I knew a turd at work who supposedly could not wear sensible shoes but had to wear high heels as her calf muscles were permanently shortened….oh boo hoo….

  • Burt Gummer

      • Burt Gummer

Saggy pants wearing is a sign they have been to prison and don’t care about going back. It is because all pants in prison are one size with no belts or tie straps to hold them up.

These articles accuse liberals of being triggered by harmless x, but apparently, paleoconservative closet commies are triggered by harmless y. Both are not pernicious, so why do these two groups try to divide this nation?

Fallacies noted: argumentum ad hominem, argumentum ad absurdum, appeal to nature, appeal to tradition, arguments ad populum and the list continues, ad infinitum.

These silly, old, fossilized apparatchik simply do not understand that the only superficial item of wearables that is important is the wristwatch. That means Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, etc. Even so, we would rather focus on clothing that men wear; I truly have no interest in what other people wear, as long as their watch is from Switzerland, Germany, or Japan. Even then, cultural fashions vary greatly.

The nature of fashion is one of expression, not of definition. Let people market whatever they so desire, and let people purchase it; no harm is done.

When I said men shouldn’t dress like women and women shouldn’t dress like men, I meant that for example: men shouldn’t be wearing skirts and women shouldn’t be wearing ties. I’m not against women wearing pants, jeans etc. Also, I don’t understand the whole “unisex” thing. Sounds fake to me.

    • fixitman

Men shouldn’t wear skirts IN OUR CULTURE you mean. Men have worn skirts for thousands of years! WOMEN should not wear PANTS –IN OUR CULTURE.
It’s all hogwash, I think we also need to stop using computers and driving cars, actually. That is NOT a traditional culture at all.. and beardless men look like women (traditionally, a beardless man was either too young to grow one, or effeminate.)
Ties are a recent thing, NOT traditional at all. The ‘modern tie’ is less than 200 years old. The modern bra is less than that..
I don’t see why the article rails on about it at all. Wear what you want, and if someone laughs at you, pull out your AK-47 and kill them.

Here’s your gay pedo-sex perverts in the ‘so-called’ fashion industry hard at it again. Turning what should be young men into … ah, I’m not sure what but, whatever it is … it is totally disgusting and perverted, and ultimately evil I am sure. This is litterally all by design. Destroy men, and turn young women into dikes is their insidiously evil goal to destroy our culture and society. The Marxist/Fascist techno-feudal pedo-sex controllers hate God’s creation, and want the union of husband and wife as we know it destroyed forever. Make no mistake about it, this is the Satanic Beast System fomenting yet even more filth, perversion and insanity. The best thing we can all do is un-plug as much as possible from this twisted sick false left-right paradigm of evil.

    • iris

Agreed, but those folks are in darkness, so without the truth being presented to them, most likely, repeatedly, the lies they have been taught by our post modern society will not change their paradigm of; good is evil and evil is good, and whatever feels right to them, is truth. They need the light of the gospel. Scientifically, darkness is only the absence of light. The Christians need to be bold in sharing the gospel. Relationships will come and go, even in families, and if Christians really love their fellow humans, they will share the truth of God’s redeeming love and its power, in love and humility.

      • fixitman

“The gospel” according to whom? It’s all lies, and most “Christians” do not have their facts straight. My own sister tried to tell me the Earth (and the Universe) is only 7,000 years old despite every single piece of evidence (aside from some crazy Jews writings) indicating the contrary. Also, their mistaken belief in some religion created by that same bunch of crazy Jews and then some guy claiming to be God, and 300 years later someone writing down that he came back from the dead… an unlikely story, and yet these lies are STILL being taught to children (when even a 5 year old now knows better unless BRAINWASHED.)

    • fixitman

“our culture and society”… THAT is all this is about. Not that long ago, we didn’t have automobiles, or computers, and we don’t need them now. Most people lived on a farm, and many were married and having children by age 12. Even at that, it was considered normal for a man to have many lovers thoughout his lifetime, and women could if they wanted. Men wore skirts, togas, dresses, pants, makeup, and BEARDS. A man was not yet a man, but still a boy, OR was effeminate if he did not have a beard. Our society is screwed up when it expects “successful” men to have short hair and beards.
It’s all cultural and societal, not “evil” or “good.”
IN MY opinion, cities are evil, and we need to get rid of all of them and go live as hunter-gatherers and farmers, and get rid of all these automobiles, computers, governments, and religions (which are all just myth based anyway.) Belief in a religion is evil.

I have never been very good at asking for help. My father was an officer in the U.S. Navy, and he raised me to be very strong and very independent. So for my entire life, I have been a “pull myself up by my own bootstraps” kind of guy. From a very early age I came to think of asking others for help as a sign of weakness. Of course today I know that is not true, but there is still part of me that hesitates to enlist the support of others even when I really, really need it.

But now I have been put into a position where I have no choice but to ask for help. As many of you already know, I am running for Congress, and there is no way in the world that I could ever do that by myself.

So this is very humbling for me, because I know that if this is not a team effort that I am 100% assured of failing.

The good news is that a number of my readers have already stepped up to help, and I am so thankful for that. And if you would like to financially support my campaign for Congress, you can do so right here…

Thankfully, I don’t have to raise enormous amounts of money to be successful. In some areas of the country, candidates for the House of Representatives raise millions of dollars, but in this district candidates for Congress usually only raise a small fraction of that.

And there is going to be no incumbent in this district in 2018,
because the individual that is currently holding this seat is running for governor instead. So the race is wide open, and none of my potential opponents is independently wealthy.

So to win this race, I just need to raise enough money to be on the same playing field as the others. Because we have already been sharing my message with groups of voters, and after hearing my message many voters that were undecided or that were already committed to another candidate are coming over to my side.

I am going to have the strongest message in this race, and I just need to get it in front of everyone in this district.

Once again, this is not actually going to take very much. In fact, if every one of my readers were to donate 10 dollars today, I could be done funding my entire campaign by tomorrow…

Over the past seven years, I have published well over 2000 feature articles, and those of you that have been following my work for an extended period of time know my heart. If you believe in me and what I am doing, then I am asking for your support. I am asking those that want to see me in Congress to show that you are standing with me by donating at least 10 dollars to the campaign.

Perhaps later you will want to donate more, but right now we are just at the very beginning and we are trying to get things off the ground. This is such a critical stage, and we have got to raise some funds in order to do the basic things that every campaign needs to do.

And of course 10 dollars is not a lot. Many of you will spend more than that on coffee this week. If you have been blessed by me and by my work all these years, would you consider being a blessing to me by helping in this way?

I want to take the same message that I have been proclaiming in my books, on my websites, and on radio and television all over America to the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. I wouldn’t be going there to “join the club” or to be just another spineless politician.

Rather, if I win this election I plan to turn over the tables in
Washington D.C. and I plan to be a wrecking ball to the spirit of
    political correctness.

So many of us (including me) have complained that we never have anyone good to vote for, and so I am trying to do my part by putting myself way out on a limb. It is kind of scary out here, but I have faith that those that enjoy my work all over the nation will rally behind me.

In every generation, Americans have had to sacrifice to defend
liberty and freedom. Thankfully we don’t have to do that will guns and bullets today, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t sacrifices to be made.

Over the next 10 months, I will be spending hundreds upon hundreds of hours on this campaign. I believe that the most pivotal time in modern American history is ahead of us, and we are going to need leadership in Washington that is going to fight for our values.

If you would like to read more about where I stand on the issues, you can do so right here…

But of course most of you all already know my heart. I have put everything that I have into my articles for the past seven years, and those of you that have followed me for a long time already know that I am a fighter.

But if I try to fight this battle alone, I will lose.

The only way that I am going to win is if you help me.

Like I said, I am not accustomed to asking for help like this, so all that I can do is open up my heart and be completely honest.

    I need your help.

If you would like to donate to the campaign, just follow the link below…

You can donate by credit card, Paypal or by check if you prefer. We are going to stretch every single dollar as far as it can possibly go, and we are going to fight for every possible vote.

If you have any questions about any of this, please feel free to reach out to me at Michael@MichaelSnyderForCongress.com.

Now it is our turn to believe that we can make a difference. If you would be willing to let me know that you stand with me by donating at least 10 dollars to the campaign, that would mean the world to me.

It is during our times of greatest need that we find out who our real friends are, and I am looking for a few good friends to help me now.

Thank you for following my work on a regular basis, and for more information about how you can get involved in this campaign, please check out my official campaign websites…

Gender dysphoria is still classified as a mental illness (despite Obama’s attempts to legitimise it).

  • EJ Doyle

The planned breakdown of society is continuing. The masculization of the women and feminization of men. The crying liberals who need safe spaces for instance.

  • Zaphod Braden

MEN are NOT wearing that .

  • anonymous4u4me

The headline is very misleading, for if they do, they are not real men.

  • desertspeaks

it’s not hot, it’s not new and it’s not a fashion trend.. it’s propaganda and indoctrination to emasculate beta males further and a futile attempt to emasculate alpha males.. this crap will only work on beta’s!

Which of course fits in nicely with the narrative being spun at Bilderberg meetings about how there is just not enough money, wealth, food or whatever for everyone so population control is a dire necessity!

In whatever form the rich must stop the poor so that they, the rich, can continue to get more or everything and live wild fantasy lives at the expense of everyone else.

Kissinger said in his memo; they are going to figure out how to kill you and get away with it so that the political class can have more.

“Gender fluidity…” Who made this term up? It sure has sexual connotations.

The BEST way to become “gender neutral” is to just lop that thing off, preferably with a sword, and become a eunuch.

Haha. I’m confused as to why anybody cares.

Seriously, for decades the stupidest most outrageous and impractical clothing designs have been shown but never actually worn by anybody. This is just another example.

  • Dan Roper

Guys have been doing that forever.
    They are called Transvestites :-)

Will the last Baby Boomer holding office in the White House please remember to shut the lights off and launch the ICBMs when he leaves because there’s nothing ‘left’ here worth preserving.

  • RoHa

Don’t be silly. This isn’t a hot trend. It is just one designer trying to get a bit of attention.

Still less queer than skinny pants.
