The more you read the news today the more likely you are to get really mad.  The world is becoming an incredibly crazy place, and at times the amount of bad news that is coming out can seem almost overwhelming.  Everywhere you look, the poor are being oppressed, our politicians are making stupid decisions and evil is on the march.  The America that so many of us grew up deeply loving is literally being ripped to shreds in a thousand different ways.  Unfortunately, those in power have not had any real answers for us in decades.  The Democrats don’t have any real answers, the Republicans don’t have any real answers and the Federal Reserve sure as heck does not have any real answers.  In fact, it seems like almost everything that our leaders actually do “accomplish” only makes things worse.  The vast majority of Americans are quite busy being entertained by “bread and circuses”, but meanwhile our country is literally falling apart.

The following are 20 facts that will make you really mad if you stop and think about them for a while….

#1 Since the Federal Reserve was created in 1913, the U.S. dollars has declined in value by over 95 percent.

#2 The difference between the budget that the “big spending Democrats” are proposing and the budget that the “big spending Republicans” are proposing is only about 32 billion dollars.  Considering the fact that our national budget deficit is going to run about 1.5 trillion dollars this year, 32 billion dollars is not a whole heck of a lot to cut.

#3 Japan now manufactures about 5 million more automobiles than the United States does.

#4 China has now become the world’s largest exporter of high technology products.

#5 The U.S. government currently owes China 895 billion dollars and we are constantly sending government officials over there to beg them to lend us even more money.

#6 The President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Dennis Lockhart, says that the Federal Reserve is not responsible for the rising cost of living….

The Fed, like every other central bank, is powerless to prevent fluctuations in the cost of living and increases of individual prices. We do not produce oil. Nor do we grow food or provide health care. We cannot prevent the next oil shock, or drought, or a strike somewhere —events that cause prices of certain goods to rise and change your cost of living.

#7 The price of food is going up, the price of gasoline is going up, but home values continue to go down.  According to CoreLogic, national home prices were 5.46 percent lower in December 2010 than they were in December 2009.

#8 In Osceola County, Florida 66.5% of all home mortgages are underwater.  In Clark Country, Nevada 71.1% of all home mortgages are underwater.

#9 There are approximately 28 million Americans that would like full-time jobs but that don’t have full-time jobs.

#10 In a recent interview, Donald Rumsfeld said that he takes “great pride in the structures that the Bush administration put in place that this Obama administration criticized and ran against and now have retained: military commissions and indefinite detention and (the prison at) Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.”

#11 The number of net jobs gained by the U.S. economy during this past decade was smaller than during any other decade since World War 2.

#12 The Obama administration and the Federal Reserve are both declaring that the U.S. economy is in recovery mode, and yet an all-time record of 43.6 million Americans were on food stamps during the month of November.

#13 According to a report published in The American Journal of Medicine, medical bills are a major factor in more than 60 percent of the personal bankruptcies in the United States.  Of those bankruptcies that were caused by medical bills, approximately 75 percent of them involved individuals that actually did have health insurance.

#14 A Super Bowl television ad that encouraged people to look up John 3:16 was rejected by Fox Sports because they felt that it was “too offensive“.

#15 In Houston, Texas a couple named Bobby and Amanda Herring that had been feeding homeless people for over a year has been banned by the city from doing so.  They were told that they needed a permit to feed the homeless and city officials say that they are not going to get one.

#16 A study by the World Institute for Development Economics Research found that the bottom half of the world population owns approximately 1 percent of all global wealth.

#17 Approximately 1 billion people throughout the world go to bed hungry each night.

#18 During Barack Obama’s first two years in office, the U.S. government added more to the U.S. national debt than the first 100 U.S. Congresses combined.

#19 An increasing number of investors are betting that the U.S. government will default on its debt.  In fact, trading of U.S. credit default swap contracts has more than doubled over the last several weeks.

#20 The fastest growing portion of the federal budget is interest on the national debt.

Tax the rich and spread the wealth.

  • dirtydog1776

Hey Gary, read your history. Your suggestion appeals to people who want something for nothing but has never worked. Why not start with yourself?? You may not think of yourself as rich, but that is a relative term. If you have a bed to sleep in and some food, that is more that 1 billion other people. Most liberals have no problem giving away what doesn’t belong to them, but cry and whine when it applies to them.

End the Fed. End fiat currency. Back a new currency on gold. Shrink government. Bring manufacturing back to US. Prosecute white collar crime that got us here. Get out of Afghanistan. Close all 800 overseas military bases. Stop importing so much Chinese junk. Bring God back into our lives. And that’s just for starters.

  • john

Fact #21: Gary is still allowed to post his worn-out, one-note drivel here everyday.

  • zen

I agree. John 3:16 is offensive.
Who would honor a person or God that accepts, or requires Human sacrifice for someone else’s “crimes”? And all to save us from the honored one’s wrath.

  • Colin

I was angry. I was frustrated. Now, I am numb.

    (P.S. I don’t see the relevance of #14.)

  • Mr Carpenter

Too bad there isn’t a sarcasm font zen, so I know whether you are a “typical” and have absolutely no understanding of Christ, or whether you are being sarcastic and witty.

The Bible states that it is the fool who says there is no God.

Look at a newborn baby with a brand new soul; look at a colorful sunset; look at a high magnification electron microscope photo; look at a photo of the cosmos and try to convince me that this wasn’t all designed and created, and I’ll laugh. Because I’m no fool.

    • Kenn

Mr. Carpenter, first of all, finish the paragraph, what comes after “the fool….”. Second of all, you are the one making the fantastic claim about an omnipotent sky fairy that created everything. The onus of proof lies with the one making the extraordinary claim. There isn’t one iota of evidence that a newborn baby has a “brand new soul”. Finally, I’ve looked at electron microscope photos and the cosmos, sorry, with a little scientific understanding, much can be explained without a creator. You, as a believer in the ridiculous, are a fool, sir.

  • Colin

The reason I don’t feel #14 is relevant is that this decision doesn’t have an effect on my life.

  • I think the only thing that is going to save this country economically is the free market. You see innovative small and large businesses come out every day that solve problems or entertain people.

i’m so glad that #14 happened – stupid christians should keep their dogma to themselves.

Ronald Reagan tripled the national debt – from less than 1 trillion to approaching 3 trillion dollars. In fact, the only President to get a handle on deficit spending in the past 30 years was Bill Clinton.

    Parallel observation:

Since the start of the income tax in 1913, every time taxes on the richest Americans dips below 30%, the country faces a severe financial disruption. Both the Great Depression and the Great Recession fit this pattern.

Conversely, when America flourished in the 1950s, the rich were taxed at a rate of 90 percent! The most likely reason is that, in order to sustain their lifestyle, the rich had to create jobs. On the other hand, the more wealth the rich are allowed to accumulate under Calvin Coolidge (25 percent tax rate) and George W. Bush (28 percent tax rate), the lazier the fat cats become.

    • Kenn

Can’t hate a fictional character, sorry.

    Re: Item #14

A Bible verse is considered “offensive” on network TV, but some network programming, which is much more offensive to many Christians, is perfectly fine? Wow. Someone’s going to be offended, no matter what. The Chinese raised a ruckus about that Super Bowl ad about Tibet and “rice curry”.

By the way – where are the guys holding up those “John 3:17” signs?

  • Uncle B

America is on the verge of adopting the latest, high efficiency, clean, nuclear reactors from China’s Tsinghua University, as well as constructing the newest designs of clean, safe, Thorium reactors from India. America needs to rid itself of the parasite oil nations of the Middle East, rid itself of oil addiction, and move ahead with China and an electricity based economy.
If the $650+ Billions of dollars spent on the destruction of Iraq, had been spent on Solar/Thermal electricity plants, in the South Western U.S.A., today all Americans would share in the cheapest electrical energy source the world has ever known, All would have jobs.
Instead, we chose to follow the oil barons! Do you have cheaper gasoline for your car today? Do you have jobs, created by oil, as a cheaper energy source?
If the Prairie Wind Corridor were developed, with Wind Turbines, a whole new Middle America fueled by perpetual wind’s electricity would spring up! Jobs, food from good American soil and products from strong American armpits!
The Hoover Dam, still produces electricity, no re-fueling required! Perpetual electricity! Does America have any more potential sites like this? China just finished the Three Gorge Dam – now they have perpetual hydro electricity.
China has nuclear/electric bullet train networks, complete with nuclear/electric infrastructures, vast populations, free from oil dependency, and manufacturing without paying ‘tax’ to the oil barons and selling good products on world markets for astonishingly less than oil dependent, oil ‘tax’ paying Americans can manage.
China has thirty new reactors under construction as we speak! Safer reactors, not the weapons producing steam-kettle styled American reactors of the 50’s.

  • FurbanTofu

Christianity is just as much as a product as doritos. its original basis was to control society’s and oppress people from their original belief’s. I don’t support fox, but they shouldn’t advertise theology and worldwide cultism. even though they do in their news. if any group of people is keeping the world from progressing forward its the religious extremist from all sides of religion. atleast science will prove something before they say it was true. the rest is all myth.
