At this hour, a thick blanket of smoke from the horrific wildfires in California, Oregon and Washington is covering much of the western portion of the country. U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley of Oregon has used the word “apocalyptic” to describe the utter devastation that has been caused by these fires, and that is not an exaggeration whatsoever. There are some small towns that have literally been wiped off the face of the map during the past week, and some of them may never be rebuilt. This has already been a wildfire season like no other along the west coast, and we are just now entering the heart of the 2020 fire season. An entire continent is being transformed into “a charred, apocalyptic nightmare”, and experts are telling us that a billion animals may have already died so far in the horrific wildfires that are raging all across Australia. Extremely strong winds and record high temperatures are going to create ideal conditions for the fires to spread even more this week, but officials will do all that they can to try to get them under control. At this point, 146 fires are burning all over the country. With temperatures in some communities reaching 120 degrees Fahrenheit, and with winds expected to hit 80 mph or higher in some areas this week, things appear certain to get even worse before they start to get better. California Faces 72 Hours Of Hell As “Devil Winds” Turn The Current Wildfires Into Unstoppable Infernos
An “extreme wind event” will relentlessly pummel the state of California on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and it will be a challenge unlike anything firefighters in the state have ever faced before. Right now there are 17 wildfires currently burning in the state, but that number is expected to rise significantly over the next 72 hours. High winds can carry embers a great distance from the existing fires, and it only takes a single ember to start a new blaze. Over the next three days, “devil winds” of up to 80 mph will create conditions that are absolutely ideal for the spread of wildfires, and this has caused authorities to issue “red flag warnings” for 43 different California counties. A world without forests would be an apocalyptic wasteland, and right now we are losing our forests at an astounding rate. As you read this article, more than 10,000 wildfires are ripping through forested areas of South America and Africa, and global leaders seem powerless to do anything about it. Most of the media attention has been on the horrific wildfires in the Amazon rainforest, and we are being told that the number of fires in Brazil is up 85 percent compared to last year. But the number of fires is actually much higher in Africa. Amazing Miracle: Christian Actor Kevin Sorbo Says That A Giant California Wildfire Stopped 3 Feet From His Home
This story is absolutely amazing. Like so many others, actor Kevin Sorbo and his wife were forced to evacuate from their home during the recent California wildfires, and once they left they were not sure if they would ever see it again. And sure enough, firefighters were not able to hold back the blaze and flames came racing through their neighborhood.
