A New Survey Has Found The Upcoming Election Is A “Significant Source Of Stress” For 56% Of U.S. Adults

This is definitely going to be an election season to remember.  For most Democrats, four more years of Donald Trump in the White House is a scenario that is absolutely unimaginable, and they will be fighting like mad to keep that from happening.  But of course Trump supporters are equally determined to keep him in power, and many of them are not even willing to consider the possibility that a Democrat could potentially win.  If you thought that the last election was contentious, just wait until you see what happens this time around.  In the end, close to half the country is going to be bitterly, bitterly disappointed, and they will be in no mood to be governed by whoever ultimately wins.  Of course the mainstream media and many of our national leaders will be gleefully stirring the pot the entire time, but when things finally explode they won’t take any responsibility.  We have never seen this much anger, frustration and hatred in our political process, and there is no way that this is going to end well. This Is “The First Presidential Impeachment Inquiry In Modern History Authorized By Members Of Only One Party”

The Democrats have really messed up this time.  On Thursday, we witnessed the first major congressional test for this impeachment inquiry, and the House of Representatives did approve the formal rules that were being pushed by Nancy Pelosi and her cronies.  But it was a major victory for President Trump, because not a single Republican voted for those rules.  Not only that, a couple of Democrats actually voted with the Republicans.  This was a significant embarrassment for Democratic leadership, and it likely foreshadows how the rest of this process is going to play out.  Yes, the Democrats have the numbers to impeach Trump in the House, but without any Republican defections the effort to remove Trump from office will be completely dead once it gets to the Senate. As Halloween Approaches, Thousands Of Witches Will Cast A “Binding Spell” On Donald Trump On October 25th

Trump Could Be Impeached Based On The Testimony Of A Parade Of “Whistleblowers” That Don’t Even Testify In Person

This “impeachment inquiry” is becoming more shady with each passing day.  Nancy Pelosi won’t even take a vote in the House to officially approve this “impeachment inquiry” because she is convinced that such a vote is not needed.  But as White House Counsel Pat Cipollone has aptly noted, the lack of a vote “violates fundamental fairness and constitutionally mandated due process”.  And now we are learning that the original whistleblower is asking if he can “submit testimony in writing instead of appearing in person”, which would likely mean that we may never found out the identify of this individual.  So we could potentially be facing a scenario in which the House of Representatives actually impeaches the president of the United States based on “testimony” from an anonymous source that they never actually get to see face to face.  The U.S. Constitution sets a very high standard for impeaching a president, and it is absolutely absurd that this process is moving forward based on information from someone that does not want to face any sort of public scrutiny and that did not even have firsthand knowledge of Trump’s conversation with the president of Ukraine in the first place. China Takes A Comprehensive Trade Deal Off The Table, And That Is Disastrous News For The U.S. Economy

The Chinese never intended to make a deal, and now they are publicly admitting it.  For months, I have been warning readers of The Economic Collapse Blog that a comprehensive trade deal with China will not happen before the 2020 presidential election, and the reason why this is the case is actually very simple.  The Chinese have concluded that President Trump will never give them the kind of deal that they are looking for, and so their entire goal has been to run out the clock on the Trump administration so that they can finally get to a Democrat that will be much more “reasonable” to deal with.  Of course if Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders wins the election, they won’t be very “reasonable” either, and so the best case scenario for the Chinese is for either Joe Biden or Hillary Clinton to emerge victorious in November 2020.  In any event, the Chinese are now being very clear about the fact that they are never, ever going to agree to Trump’s core demands.  The following comes from CNBC… (Read More...)

In A New Campaign Ad, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell Is Vowing To Keep Trump From Being Removed From Office

This is great news for President Trump.  In a new campaign ad that is now appearing on Facebook, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is promising voters that he will do all that he can to keep Trump from being removed from office.  Of course McConnell can’t keep the Democrats from impeaching Trump in the House, but once the matter shifts to the Senate for a trial, McConnell is promising that he is going to do all that he can to kill it.  It would take 67 votes in the Senate to remove Trump, and Democrats only have 47 seats, and so it was always going to be challenging for them to get 20 Republicans to turn against Trump.  But now with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell taking such a strong public stand against impeachment, it is going to be almost impossible for the Democrats to achieve their goal.  The following originally comes from The Hill… (Read More...)

Trump Says That The Military Response To The Attack On Saudi Arabia Will Be “Proportionate”

Trump administration officials are telling reporters and that there is no doubt that the attack on the oil production facilities in Saudi Arabia originated from Iranian soil, although Trump himself is being less dogmatic in his public statements.  It appears that Trump wants all of the evidence to come in before making a final decision about what to do, but clearly he is leaning toward military action against Iran.  And when we hit Iran, there is a very high probability that they will hit back.  In fact, the Iranians have already stated unequivocally that they will defend themselves.  So as I discussed yesterday, we are potentially facing a scenario that could ultimately lead to World War 3. Guess Who China Is Blaming For The Riots In Hong Kong?

This is not going to end well.  As a result of our ongoing trade war, U.S. relations with China were already rapidly deteriorating, but now the chaos in Hong Kong threatens to completely wreck them.  Violence between political protesters and riot police is making headlines all over the globe, and as you will see below, the Chinese are squarely blaming the United States for what is happening.  On Tuesday, flights at Hong Kong International Airport were canceled for a second day in a row, and riot police stormed the airport in an attempt to evict the thousands of protesters that were occupying it.  This resulted in extremely violent clashes, and you can see raw video of one of these confrontations right here.  Needless to say, the Chinese government is extremely alarmed by these developments.  According to ABC News, one top official told the press that these protests in Hong Kong “have begun to show signs of terrorism”… (Read More...)
