Why Israel Is Going To Bomb Iran

Israeli Fighter Jets - Public DomainThanks to Barack Obama, it is only a matter of time before Israel feels forced to conduct a massive military strike against Iran’s nuclear program.  When that happens, Iran will strike back, and hundreds if not thousands of missiles will rain down on Israel.  This exchange will likely spark a major regional war in the Middle East, and that could end up plunging the entire planet into chaos.  If Barack Obama was attempting to prevent such a scenario from playing out, he failed miserably.  Personally, I think that the deal that was just made with Iran is absolutely horrible.  Perhaps you disagree.  Perhaps you believe that it is the greatest piece of diplomacy of all time.  But it doesn’t really matter what any of us think.  If this deal was going to work, it had to be strong enough to convince Israel that Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons has been completely stopped.  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has sworn that he will never, ever let Iran get a nuclear weapon, and he has pledged to use military force if necessary.  So what Barack Obama needed was a deal that would calm Israeli nerves while satisfying the Iranians at the same time.  Such a deal may have theoretically been impossible, but that is what it was going to take to prevent war.  Instead, Obama has made a deal which has utterly horrified the Israeli government.  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu even called it “a license to kill“.  So now the odds that war will happen have gone way up, but Barack Obama is too busy congratulating himself to notice. In Iraq, ISIS Is Winning And The United States Is Losing

ISIS Takes RamadiDuring the Iraq war more than 4,000 U.S. soldiers died, countless others were severely injured, and the total cost to U.S. taxpayers was more than 2 trillion dollars.  But now whatever the U.S. military accomplished during that war is being completely undone by ISIS.  On Monday, we learned that ISIS had fully taken control of the strategically important city of Ramadi.  Despite nine months of airstrikes by the U.S. military, ISIS continues to move forward and take new territory.  Just a few years ago, American soldiers fought some incredibly bloody battles on the streets of Ramadi, but now that city is in the hands of the most ruthless terror organization on the entire planet.  And since it is only about 70 miles from Baghdad, Ramadi is going to make a fine staging area for an all-out assault on the capital.  No matter how you cut it, the cold, hard reality of the matter is that the United States is losing in Iraq and ISIS is winning.  So what will the U.S. do if ISIS actually takes control of the entire country? 136 Nations Recognize A Palestinian State – Only Obama Stands In The Way Of Full Global Recognition

Countries That Officially Recognize A Palestinian State - Photo by Night wWill a UN Security Council resolution formally recognizing the establishment of a Palestinian state be passed by the end of 2015?  Now that the Vatican has formally recognized a Palestinian state, there is a tremendous amount of international momentum for precisely such a UN Security Council resolution.  In fact, France plans to push really hard for one by the end of this year.  At this point, the only thing that could derail those plans is Barack Obama.  For years, the threat of a Security Council veto has been the one thing stopping a resolution from moving forward.  But now that Benjamin Netanyahu has been re-elected and has put together a cabinet that does not seem inclined to negotiate with the Palestinians, the Obama administration is pledging to “reevaluate our approach” and says that it will not “prejudge” what it will do if a vote comes up at the United Nations.  And as you will see below, one news source is now reporting that behind the scenes Barack Obama has already given the “green light” for France to go ahead with a resolution on a Palestinian state at the UN.  If this is truly what Obama plans to do, it will absolutely shatter U.S. relations with Israel and plunge the entire Middle East into chaos. ISIS Is Painting The Middle East Red With The Blood Of Christians

Bloody Handprint - Public DomainEvery day now, there are fresh news stories about Christians being slaughtered by ISIS in the Middle East.  So where is the outrage from the White House?  Where is the outrage from the Islamic world?  If Islam truly was a “religion of peace”, prominent Islamic leaders all over the globe would be loudly condemning ISIS whenever another slaughter of Christians took place.  And a White House statement about the beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians by ISIS the other day did not have the word “Christian” in it a single time.  ISIS is painting the Middle East red with the blood of Christians, and most of the world seems to care very, very little.  If thousands of people from some politically-favored group or religion were being savagely killed, the outcry would be deafening.  But because Christians are being killed, it is not such a big deal.  So exactly what does that say about how the world views Christians in 2015? Saudi Arabia And ISIS Both Want The Same Thing: World Domination

World Domination - Public DomainWhen ISIS released a video which showed Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh being burned alive, it shocked the entire planet.  The evil that it takes to do such a thing is on a level that is almost unspeakable.  In the western world, we have a very hard time understanding what would motivate anyone to take a life in such a manner.  But in the Middle East, this brand of tyranny has been percolating for a very, very long time.  The brand of Islam that ISIS seeks to impose on the areas of Iraq and Syria that it has conquered has been practiced in Saudi Arabia for centuries.  Just like ISIS, Saudi Arabia also publicly flogs those that “insult Islam”.  Just like ISIS, Saudi Arabia also beheads those that commit serious violations of sharia law.  And it is no secret that the Saudis have been pouring billions upon billions of dollars into organizations that promote jihad all over the globe.  But because they have a quarter of the world’s oil reserves and they pretend to be our friends, we don’t say anything.  They may be more subtle than ISIS, but ultimately they have the same goal as ISIS.  When it is all said and done, the Saudis and ISIS both agree that Islam will ultimately rule the world one day.  The only disagreement is about how to get there. Did Turkey Just Declare War On Syria?

The Turkish Parliament has “authorized military operations” against Syria.  So exactly what does that mean?  Did Turkey just declare war on Syria?  For now, the government of Turkey is making a clear distinction between “military operations” and “declaring war”.   If Turkey were to “declare war”, that would likely involve Turkish troops actually entering Syria, and the war would not be considered “won” until certain objectives are achieved.  So by just authorizing “military operations” against Syria, Turkey can sit back and fire off artillery rounds (and potentially call in air strikes if necessary) without being committed to entering Syria or attacking Damascus.  Turkey is not too keen on invading Syria by itself anyway.  Turkey would want the help of NATO in such an event, and right now Barack Obama has made it abundantly clear to the Turkish government that he is not going to participate in an attack on Syria before the election.  Obama has been leading in the polls and he has way too much to lose by starting another war.  But what all of this does show us is a couple of things.  First of all, once again we see that the Middle East is a tinderbox that can erupt at any moment.  Second of all, just the rumors of a war between Turkey and Syria sent the price of oil absolutely skyrocketing on Thursday.  It is frightening to imagine what a real war in the Middle East might do to the price of oil.
