Is The Tea Party Dead?

Tea Party R.I.P.Do you remember when the pundits were talking about how the Tea Party movement was going to transform American politics?  Do you remember when establishment Republicans in Congress were scared to death of having Tea Party challengers come after their seats?  Well, those days are over.  In primary after primary in 2014, it has become abundantly clear that the establishment is in full control of the Republican Party once again.  And recent polling data also supports the theory that the Tea Party movement is losing steam.  Back in 2010, 31 percent of all Americans supported the Tea Party.  Today, an all-time low 15 percent of all Americans do.  So is the Tea Party dead?  Perhaps not yet, but without a doubt it is on the ropes. If He Was Around Today, Thomas Jefferson Would Be Considered A Tea Party Extremist

Thomas JeffersonThomas Jefferson was radically anti-tax, pro-gun and anti-central bank.  He loved precious metals, he openly acknowledged a “Creator” and he wanted to add an amendment to the Constitution which would ban the federal government from going into debt.  If he was around today, he would be considered a “nutjob”, an “extremist”, a “fascist” and even a “potential terrorist“.  But of course Jefferson was none of those things.  Rather, Jefferson was a great thinker, the primary author of the Declaration of Independence and our third President.  Below, I have shared a list of 13 famous Jefferson quotes (13 for the 13 colonies that originally founded America) that show just how far America has fallen away from our founding principles.  I think that most of you will be very shocked when you read this list… (Read More...)

33 Stats That Prove That SOMETHING Desperately Needs To Be Done About The National Debt

Tea Party SignThe U.S. national debt is 36 times larger than it was just 40 years ago.  That is not a misprint.  That is actually the truth.  We are literally destroying the future of America, but most Americans don’t really seem to care.  In fact, the most hated politicians in America are the Tea Party politicians that recently tried to take a stand against the out of control borrowing that the federal government has been doing.  Pew Research has just released a new survey that shows that the popularity of the Tea Party is at an all-time low.  So while many Americans may say that they theoretically want something to be done about the national debt, when push comes to shove they don’t actually mean that.  You see, the reality of the matter is that about 128 million Americans get money from the federal government every month.  That accounts for the majority of all government spending.  Anyone who tries to take those goodies away is going to be hated.  So we are going to continue down this crazy path until the system completely crashes someday. Awesome Letter That A Dying Military Veteran Sent To His Representatives In Congress

Writing A Letter - Photo by Petar MiloševićYou will be amazed by the things that a dying military veteran wrote in a letter to the two U.S. Senators that are representing his state.  Like so many other Americans, this elderly vet is absolutely disgusted by the corruption and the incompetence that he sees coming out of Washington.  In the past, I have also written about how $1.4 billion is spent on the Obamas each year and about how Congress is living the high life at our expense, but in this letter this dying military veteran puts things much more eloquently than I did.  The name of the vet that wrote this letter is Bill Schoonover, and it was written on April 3rd, 2013.  Even though his representatives in Congress will probably never take the time to read this letter, I think that you will agree that the emotions that Mr. Schoonover has expressed in this letter are shared by millions upon millions of other Americans all across the country… (Read More...)

1.6 Trillion Dollars More Debt: Fiscal Conservatives Have Been Raped By The Republican Party

What the Republican Party has done to fiscal conservatives over the past year and a half has been a betrayal so vast that it is difficult to find words to describe it.  Back in 2010, the Tea Party was riding high and a flood of new Republicans was sent to the U.S. House of Representatives in one of the greatest landslides in U.S. political history.  On election night 2010, more House seats changed hands than in another other election since 1948.  It was the greatest defeat for any sitting president in a midterm election since 1938.  After the election, the Democrats were left with fewer House seats than at any other time since 1946.  Needless to say, it was an absolutely historic election.  The Tea Party completely dominated American politics that night, and they sent the Republican Party a clear message that they wanted government debt to be brought under control.  So what has changed since then?  Not much.  The U.S. government is still running trillion dollar deficits every single year.  I have previously spent a lot of time blaming Barack Obama and the Democrats for this, but the truth is that they could not have spent a single penny without the approval of the U.S. House of Representatives.  So the Republican Party is complicit in this crime against the American people.  If there was ever a mandate to take a stand against runaway government debt, it was after the 2010 election, and the Republican Party has failed miserably.  So what are fiscal conservatives supposed to do now? The People’s Party? Are We Witnessing The Birth Of A New Far Left Political Party In The United States?

Are we witnessing the birth of another new political party in the United States?  The election of Barack Obama was the spark which fueled the rise of the Tea Party back in 2009, and since that time the Tea Party has become a major league force inside the Republican Party.  Now the Occupy Wall Street movement is rapidly becoming more organized and many believe that “The People’s Party” is going to be to the Democrats what the Tea Party is to the Republicans.  Others believe that “The People’s Party” could accomplish what a lot of organizations in the past have tried and failed to do – launch a third political party which could successfully break the stranglehold that the “two party system” has on American politics.  It would certainly not be an easy thing to do, but there can be no doubt that Occupy Wall Street is now a major political force in America.  The Occupy Wall Street movement has spread to 100 cities inside the United States and to nearly 1000 cities around the world.  Certainly as the weather gets colder the protests will die down, but there are an increasing number of signs that Occupy Wall Street is becoming very organized and that it plans to be a major political force for years to come. Buckle Up: America Is Getting Very Angry And The Protests Are Going To Become Much More Frightening

The Occupy Wall Street protests and the rise of the Tea Party movement have both changed America, but you haven’t seen anything yet.  You better buckle up, because America is getting very angry and as the economy continues to decline the economic protests are going to become much more frightening in the years ahead.  Americans have become very accustomed to prosperity.  Now that our prosperity is vanishing, people are starting to become very angry.  The scary thing is that the vast majority of our population now lives in tightly congested urban areas.  That makes the potential for mass rioting and civil unrest much greater.  Back in 1910, 72 percent of Americans lived in rural areas.  Today, only 16 percent of Americans live in rural areas.  So what happens when you have millions of incredibly angry people crammed into tightly congested metropolitan areas?  Well, we are about to find out. Rick Perry And The HPV Vaccine: Would A Real Conservative Attempt To Forcibly Vaccinate 12 Year Old Girls For A Sexually Transmitted Disease?

The debate about Rick Perry and the HPV vaccine is a battle for the very soul of the Republican Party.  Right now, Rick Perry is parading around the country talking about how “conservative” he is, but would a real conservative attempt to forcibly vaccinate 12 year old girls for a sexually transmitted disease?  If Rick Perry really wants government to be as “inconsequential” in our lives as possible, then why did he issue an executive order that mandated that 12 year old girls in the state of Texas be injected with a highly controversial vaccine?  Rick Perry did not even consult the Texas legislature and he spat right in the face of parental rights when he did this.  Conservatives in the United States love to talk about how much they love individual liberty and about how much they love parental rights, but they keep supporting candidates that are trampling on our liberties and our freedoms.  Forcing young girls to be injected with a highly controversial government-mandated STD vaccine is something that we would expect Barack Obama to do.  Rick Perry keeps saying that he wishes he would “have done it differently”, but you will notice that he is not saying that he was wrong for trying to do it at all.  The really sad thing is that you have all kinds of “conservative Republicans”, “evangelical Christians” and “Tea Party activists” running around defending Rick Perry on the HPV vaccine issue.  All of those people should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.
