Experts Brace For An Apocalyptic Future As Earth’s Forests Burn To The Ground

A world without forests would be an apocalyptic wasteland, and right now we are losing our forests at an astounding rate.  As you read this article, more than 10,000 wildfires are ripping through forested areas of South America and Africa, and global leaders seem powerless to do anything about it.  Most of the media attention has been on the horrific wildfires in the Amazon rainforest, and we are being told that the number of fires in Brazil is up 85 percent compared to last year.  But the number of fires is actually much higher in Africa.  In fact, it is being reported that there are “approximately five times as many wildfires burning in Africa than in the Amazon” at this point.  Our planet is literally being destroyed right in front of our eyes, and a lot of people don’t seem to care. Why Is The United States Being Hit By So Many Fires, Floods And Earthquakes?

North America - Public DomainWhat do you get when you add together one of the strongest El Ninos ever recorded, the worst year for wildfires in U.S. history, and unprecedented earthquake swarms in diverse places all over the country? Since the end of the summer, America has been hit with a truly unusual series of natural disasters. The state of Oklahoma has already set an all-time record for the number of earthquakes that it has experienced in a year, more acres have been burned by wildfires in the U.S. than we have ever seen before, and a “1,000 year rainfall” caused horrific flooding in South Carolina. Those are just a few examples of what we have been seeing, and many believe that this is just the beginning. So why is this happening? Judgment On America? We Are On Pace For The Worst Year For Wildfires In All Of U.S. History!

Wildfire Lake - Public DomainNever before have so many acres burned in America up to this point in the year.  I just went and checked the latest numbers from the National Interagency Fire Center, and it turns out that we are now on pace for the worst year for wildfires in all of U.S. history.  So far in 2015, wildfires have burned an astounding 9,799,866 acres.  Before this, the worst year for wildfires was in 2006 when a total of 9,506,582 acres had burned through November 13th.  When I last reported on this, we were still behind 2006’s record pace, but now we have surged ahead of it.  Overall, the average for the last 10 years for the number of acres burned in the U.S. through November 13th is 6,464,947, and so we are more than 50 percent ahead of that pace right now.  Clearly, what we have been experiencing is highly unusual.  Could it be possible that this is some form of judgment on America?
