New Ebola Outbreak Reaches A Major City In Congo As The WHO Warns About The Possibility Of “An Explosive Increase In Cases”

The worst Ebola outbreak in a number of years has health officials on high alert, and the fact that a case is now being reported in a major city is extremely concerning.  As we have seen during past outbreaks, Ebola can spread very rapidly, and the mortality rate during an outbreak is often above 50 percent.  A few years ago, just rumors that Ebola might start spreading inside the United States caused quite a bit of panic out there.  Let us hope that this current outbreak is brought under control quickly, because Ebola is a horrible, horrible disease. 50 Numbers From 2014 That Sound Fake But That Are Actually Real

50 Facts From 2014 That Are Almost Too Crazy To Believe2014 was quite a bizarre year, wasn’t it?  The past 12 months brought us MH370, Ebola, civil war in Ukraine, civil unrest in Ferguson, the rise of ISIS and the fall of the Democrats in the midterm elections.  Our world is becoming crazier and more unstable with each passing day, and I have a feeling that things are going to accelerate greatly in 2015.  But for the moment things are relatively quiet as much of the world stops to celebrate the holiday season, so now is a good time to look back and see where we have been over the past year.  The facts that I am about to share with you sound false, but they are all quite true.  If you doubt any of these facts, just click the link on the number to find the source.  It has been said that truth is stranger than fiction, and that was definitely the case during the past 12 months.  In no particular order, the following are 50 numbers from 2014 that sound fake but that are actually real… (Read More...)

The Story Changes: Ebola Is Now ‘Aerostable’ And Can Remain On Surfaces For 50 Days

Ebola - Photo by NIAIDWhen it comes to Ebola, the story that the government is telling us just keeps on changing.  At first, government officials were claiming that it was very difficult to spread the Ebola virus.  Some of them were even comparing it to HIV.  We were given the impression that we had to have “direct contact” with someone else’s body fluids in order to have any chance of catching the virus.  But of course that is not true at all.  Now authorities are admitting that Ebola is “aerostable”, that it can be “spread through droplets”, and that it can remain on surfaces for up to 50 days.  That is far different information than we have been getting up until this point.  So that means when they were so confidently declaring that they know exactly how Ebola spreads they were lying to us. Thanks To Obama’s Incompetence, Ebola Is Now Out Of Control In America

Obama SleepingMuch of the responsibility for the Ebola crisis that the United States is now facing can be laid squarely at the feet of Barack Obama.  If Obama had banned all non-essential air travel between the U.S. and West Africa, Thomas Eric Duncan would have never gotten on to a plane to this country in the first place.  And if Obama had directed the CDC to get all hospital staff in America some basic training about Ebola, we might not have two infected nurses at this point.  But instead, this Ebola outbreak in America is now officially out of control.  The fact that one of the sick nurses got on to an airplane while she was feeling feverish boggles the mind, and it is creating a tremendous amount of fear all over the nation.  Already, one traveler showed up at Dulles airport in a full hazmat suit.  The White House has announced that Obama has canceled a fundraising trip and will be holding an “emergency meeting” on Ebola.  Hopefully he can start to get a handle on what is going on before it is too late. Most U.S. Hospitals Cannot Safely Handle Ebola Patients

Ebola Virus - Photo by NIAIDThis Ebola outbreak is being called the “most severe, acute health emergency seen in modern times“, and the U.S. health care system is completely and totally unprepared for it.  The truth is that most U.S. hospitals are simply not equipped to safely handle Ebola patients, and most hospital staff members have received little or no training on Ebola.  And the fact that Barack Obama and our top public health officials are running around proclaiming that Ebola is “difficult to catch” is giving doctors and nurses a false sense of security.  There is a reason why Ebola has been classified as a biosafety-level 4 (BSL-4) pathogen.  It is an extraordinarily dangerous virus, and there are only a few facilities in the entire country that are set up to safely handle such a disease. They Have Been Lying To You About How Easily Ebola Spreads

Ebola Virus Spreading - Public DomainHow did a health worker in Dallas wearing full protective gear catch Ebola if the virus “does not spread easily”?  Just last week, Barack Obama declared to the public that you cannot get Ebola “sitting next to someone on a bus”, and yet a nurse in protective gear that was taking extreme precautions to avoid being exposed to the disease has just caught it.  The head of the CDC says that there must have been a “breach in protocol” somewhere, because of course the CDC guidelines regarding the transmission of this virus could never be wrong.  Even with everything that has happened, our public officials are still insisting that Ebola is “difficult to catch”.  But could it be possible that they are wrong?  More than 200 health workers over in Africa that were treating Ebola patients in full protective gear have ended up contracting Ebola themselves.  More than 100 of them have died.  We were told that would never happen in the United States because we are so much more advanced than they are over in Africa.  But now it has happened.  Our very first Ebola case passed the virus to a health worker that was treating him.  If Ebola can be transmitted to health workers this easily, what chance is the general public going to have during a full-blown Ebola pandemic? Is It Wise For Obama To Send Thousands Of U.S. Troops Into The Ebola Death Zone?

Ebola Cases And Deaths Per Day - Photo by Leopoldo Martin RWhen there is a major problem somewhere in the world, Barack Obama loves to show that he is “doing something” by sending a contingent of U.S. troops to the affected area.  But is it really wise for Obama to send thousands of young American men and women into the Ebola death zone?  What are our troops going to do – shoot the virus?  Of course not.  The UN already has 6,000 uniformed peacekeepers in the region, and they are not doing much good.  The truth is that this is a medical crisis that requires medical personnel.  By sending thousands of troops into the heart of the Ebola pandemic, we make it much more likely that Ebola will be brought back to the United States.  Obama should keep in mind that hundreds of health workers have become infected even though they wear protective gear and are trained to deal with Ebola patients.  Our troops have not been trained to deal with Ebola patients and they probably will not be wearing full protective gear when dealing with the general population.  But there are sick people among the general population that could pass Ebola to them.
