Canada used to be such a nice place.  I have been up to Canada many times, and every time I visited I was always impressed by how polite everyone was.  I always wondered why Americans couldn’t be more like Canadians, because they certainly possessed certain positive qualities that many of us lacked.  But over the past two years Canada has been transformed into a much different place.  Under Justin Trudeau, the government of Canada has taken a very hard turn toward authoritarianism, and now a nation that was once so united is now more divided than ever. I know that this isn’t exactly going to be welcome news to a lot of people, but bird flu appears to be spreading rapidly in several U.S. states.  Long before COVID ever came along, bird flu was one of the main threats that global health authorities were concerned about.  The good news is that human cases of the bird flu have been fairly rare in recent years, but just like COVID, bird flu has the ability to mutate rapidly.  And when humans do catch bird flu, the death rate can be over 50 percent.  For now, the outbreak in the United States is limited to birds.  It is hitting turkeys, it is hitting chickens, and authorities have informed us that “dozens of wild birds have tested positive along the East Coast in recent weeks”… (Read More...)

How is it possible that we are suddenly on the precipice of global war?  During the Cold War days, we could always count on the fact that there were competent foreign policy professionals in the United States and in Europe that could simultaneously look out for our interests but also prevent a nuclear war with Russia from happening.  Because if a nuclear war were to erupt, nobody wins.  Unfortunately, the landscape is completely different here in 2022.  Instead of competent foreign policy professionals running the show, we have got a bunch of clueless hacks that seem to have absolutely no idea what they are doing.  I wish that I could be more optimistic that a diplomatic way out of this crisis will be found, but I can’t. What in the world is happening to our country?  Once upon a time, the streets of our major cities were so civilized, but today our politicians seem to have no answers as crime rates spiral out of control.  The number of drug overdose deaths in the United States keeps hitting new all-time highs, and of course the drug crisis is fueling an unbelievably bad homelessness crisis.  Meanwhile, teams of professional looters all over the nation are driving countless retailers out of business as shoplifting numbers go to heights that we have never seen before.  On top of everything else, murder rates just continue to soar.  In fact, it is being reported that murder rates in major U.S. cities were even higher in 2021 than they were in 2020… (Read More...)

There are very few things that can unite a nation like a dangerous foreign enemy can.  Needless to say, Joe Biden and his minions desperately need a way to get the American people to rally behind them, because right now Biden’s approval numbers are steadily falling.  If the Biden administration stays on the path that it is currently on, there will be no second term.  A really big “pattern interrupt” is desperately needed, and there aren’t too many options that would fit the bill at this point.  However, if a war in Europe suddenly erupted, that would have the potential to change all of the narratives surrounding the Biden administration very rapidly. These days, most people in the western world give very little thought to what a nuclear war might be like.  And that is very strange, because we are actually closer to a global nuclear war than we have ever been before.  If a conflict between Ukraine and Russia erupts, the U.S. and Russia would essentially be in a state of war from that point forward.  I do not anticipate that we would immediately be firing nuclear missiles at one another, but it would definitely put us on the verge of such a scenario.  Both sides would be in a state of constant alert with their fingers on the triggers, and all it would take is a single mistake to unleash an unthinkable nuclear nightmare. There was a reason why we were once so respected by the rest of the world.  Once upon a time, Americans were incredibly sharp mentally, emotionally and physically.  A few days ago, video footage of what high school physical education was like in California in 1962 was brought to my attention.  As I watched the video, I could hardly believe my eyes.  Every single one of the kids was in immaculate physical condition, and they performed their drills with military precision.  After watching this video, I knew that I had to share it with my readers. What is the Biden administration doing?  U.S. troops are not supposed to be in Ukraine, but for some reason they are there anyway.  When I first saw the video footage that I am about to share with you, I thought that there must be some mistake.  Sending U.S. troops into Ukraine after we publicly said that we would not is inevitably going to inflame tensions in the region even more.  But apparently some “genius” in the Biden administration thought that this would be a good idea.
