Their Endgame For The Flag, The National Anthem, The Declaration Of Independence And The Constitution

A huge national debate about our most important national symbols has erupted, and it is rapidly becoming one of our hottest political issues.  But what most people don’t realize is that this isn’t really a debate about our past.  Rather, it is a debate about what our future is going to look like.  Those that are demonizing the American flag, the national anthem, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution are not doing so for the purpose of winning a historical debate.  Their true goal is to “cancel” those symbols and replace them with new ones, because our existing national symbols represent values and principles that are diametrically opposed to the values and principles that they wish to impose upon society. By Unilaterally Changing Obamacare, Obama Is Making A Mockery Of The Constitution

Obama LaughingSince when can a president change a law all by himself?  By unilaterally declaring that certain provisions of Obamacare will not be enforced, Barack Obama is making a mockery of the U.S. Constitution.  For those that have not read it, the U.S. Constitution says that the president “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed“.  So when Obama declares that he will not enforce certain provisions of Obamacare for a year, he is directly violating the Constitution.  And as Stanford Law School Professor Michael McConnell wrote back in July, the Office of Legal Counsel for the Justice Department “has always insisted that the president has no authority, as one such memo put it in 1990, to ‘refuse to enforce a statute he opposes for policy reasons.’”  This is an open and shut case.  If the U.S. Congress still had a shred of respect for the Constitution, they would immediately demand that Obama enforce the law as written.  If Obama refused, they should immediately impeach him.  We are a country that is run by the rule of law, and just because Obama’s new law completely screws up one-sixth of the economy does not mean that he can unilaterally change it.  In our system, Congress makes the laws and the president enforces them.  If we allow any president to unilaterally change laws whenever he does not like them, then that puts us dangerously close to having a dictator in the White House. Chief Justice John Roberts Bowed To Political Pressure And Changed His Vote On Obamacare

It is being reported that after oral arguments were finished back in March, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts was planning to join with the other conservative justices in ruling that the individual mandate in Obamacare was unconstitutional.  But something changed.  According to Jan Crawford of CBS News, two sources with “specific knowledge” of the deliberations at the Supreme Court told her that at some point Roberts switched his position and decided to uphold Obamacare.  Roberts decided to characterize the penalty for not complying with the individual mandate as a tax.  This argument had been rejected by the lower courts and supporters of Obamacare had considered that argument to be essentially a legal “Hail Mary” with almost no chance of success.  But this is how the legal system in America works.  Judges decide what they want the result of a case to be, and then they try to figure out a way to justify it under the Constitution and under existing law.  Often, judges will go through all sorts of mental gymnastics to get to the results that they want.  Most Americans would be absolutely shocked if they truly realized what goes on behind closed doors in our legal system. Rights? In The New America You Don’t Get Any Rights!

One of the unique things about the Constitution of the United States was that it guaranteed certain rights for its citizens.  Those rights provided the foundation for an era of freedom and prosperity that was pretty much unprecedented in human history and dozens of other nations eventually copied many of the ideas contained in our Constitution and Bill of Rights because they worked so well.  Of course our system never functioned perfectly, but when you compare it to what has gone on for most of human history, it truly was a bright light in a sea of oppression and totalitarianism.  Unfortunately, our rights are now being systematically taken away from us.  In America today, the politicians have convinced most of us that in order to keep us all “safe” we must give up many of our rights and move toward becoming a totalitarian police state.  In the “new America”, you don’t get any rights.  They tell us that giving people rights is too dangerous.  Instead, you get some limited “privileges” which can be revoked at any time by the authorities.  Sadly, most Americans have become so dumbed-down that they don’t even realize what is happening.
