A new congressional report proves that the institutions of marriage and family are being systematically destroyed in America

The numbers that I am about to share with you are extremely sobering, and they should be a massive wake up call for all of us.  Yesterday, I wrote an article about how our society is breaking down everywhere we look, and nowhere is this more evident than in our marriages and in our families.  But without strong marriages and strong families, no society can thrive for long.  Recently, the Social Capital Project of the Joint Economic Committee Republicans released a report entitled “The Demise of the Happy Two-Parent Home”, but you probably never heard about it until now because it was almost entirely ignored by the mainstream media.  I have never seen a congressional report document the collapse of marriage and family in American society to such an extent, and to be honest it is quite surprising to see such a quality piece of work come out of Washington. Researchers Blame Marriage Rate Decline On A “Lack Of Economically-Attractive Men”

You can’t make this stuff up.  The marriage rate in the United States began steadily falling in the 1980s and has been hovering near record lows in recent years, and much has been written about why this is happening.  But now researchers from Cornell University are promoting a shocking new theory that could fundamentally change the nature of the entire debate.  According to their new study which was just published in the Journal of Marriage and Family, the primary reason why the U.S. marriage rate has been declining is because there is a “lack of economically-attractive men”.  In other words, these researchers are saying that a large number of single men out there are simply not “marriage material” because they are not making enough money.  It seems very strange that researchers at an Ivy League university would make such a claim in this day and age, but apparently they are quite serious. The Herman Cain Sex Scandal Is Going To Reveal If Character Still Matters To The Republican Party

Does character still matter to the Republican Party?  We are about to find out.  Today, a woman named Sharon Bialek fundamentally altered the race for the Republican nomination in 2012.  The Herman Cain sex scandal is not going away, and either Herman Cain is lying or all of these women that are accusing Cain of sexual misconduct are lying.  Normally, I would not write about unproven sex scandal rumors.  And it is very important to note that the charges against Herman Cain have not been proven yet.  But Bialek now represents the fourth alleged incident of sexual misconduct by Herman Cain.  What makes things a lot worse is the Cain was married when all of these alleged incidents took place.  At this point, Cain is denying that any sexual harassment ever took place.  Cain says that he is perfectly innocent.  So will we find out the truth?  More importantly, will Republican voters demand the truth or will they just allow this whole thing to be brushed under the rug?  Back during the Monica Lewinsky scandal, Republicans insisted over and over that “character still matters” when it comes to selecting our leaders.  Well, now that a candidate that millions of Republicans have fallen in love with has been accused of sexual misconduct we will see what Republicans actually do believe about character. Have We Raised An Entire Generation Of Young Men That Do Not Know How To Be Men?

Have we completely and totally failed an entire generation of young men?  Have we failed to equip them with the tools that they need?  Have we raised an entire generation of young men that do not know how to be men?  Today, young adult men are nearly twice as likely to live with their parents as young adult women are, and young adult men are much less likely to go to college than young adult women are.  Now I want to make something perfectly clear before we proceed.  The point of this article is not to slam women or drag them down.  Not at all.  Rather, the goal of this article is to point out that we have a real problem with our young men and that they are lagging way behind.  Vast numbers of them don’t want to go to college, don’t want to pursue careers, don’t want to get married and don’t want to take on any serious responsibilities.  Of course there are always exceptions.  In fact, there are some young men out there that are absolutely outstanding.  However, what this article is trying to say is that the overall trends all point to the fact that our system has raised up a crop of young men that are generally weak, directionless, wimpified and unwilling to take responsibility.  This is not a good thing.
