New Ebola Outbreak Reaches A Major City In Congo As The WHO Warns About The Possibility Of “An Explosive Increase In Cases”

The worst Ebola outbreak in a number of years has health officials on high alert, and the fact that a case is now being reported in a major city is extremely concerning.  As we have seen during past outbreaks, Ebola can spread very rapidly, and the mortality rate during an outbreak is often above 50 percent.  A few years ago, just rumors that Ebola might start spreading inside the United States caused quite a bit of panic out there.  Let us hope that this current outbreak is brought under control quickly, because Ebola is a horrible, horrible disease. Thanks To Obama’s Incompetence, Ebola Is Now Out Of Control In America

Obama SleepingMuch of the responsibility for the Ebola crisis that the United States is now facing can be laid squarely at the feet of Barack Obama.  If Obama had banned all non-essential air travel between the U.S. and West Africa, Thomas Eric Duncan would have never gotten on to a plane to this country in the first place.  And if Obama had directed the CDC to get all hospital staff in America some basic training about Ebola, we might not have two infected nurses at this point.  But instead, this Ebola outbreak in America is now officially out of control.  The fact that one of the sick nurses got on to an airplane while she was feeling feverish boggles the mind, and it is creating a tremendous amount of fear all over the nation.  Already, one traveler showed up at Dulles airport in a full hazmat suit.  The White House has announced that Obama has canceled a fundraising trip and will be holding an “emergency meeting” on Ebola.  Hopefully he can start to get a handle on what is going on before it is too late. Most U.S. Hospitals Cannot Safely Handle Ebola Patients

Ebola Virus - Photo by NIAIDThis Ebola outbreak is being called the “most severe, acute health emergency seen in modern times“, and the U.S. health care system is completely and totally unprepared for it.  The truth is that most U.S. hospitals are simply not equipped to safely handle Ebola patients, and most hospital staff members have received little or no training on Ebola.  And the fact that Barack Obama and our top public health officials are running around proclaiming that Ebola is “difficult to catch” is giving doctors and nurses a false sense of security.  There is a reason why Ebola has been classified as a biosafety-level 4 (BSL-4) pathogen.  It is an extraordinarily dangerous virus, and there are only a few facilities in the entire country that are set up to safely handle such a disease. Is It Wise For Obama To Send Thousands Of U.S. Troops Into The Ebola Death Zone?

Ebola Cases And Deaths Per Day - Photo by Leopoldo Martin RWhen there is a major problem somewhere in the world, Barack Obama loves to show that he is “doing something” by sending a contingent of U.S. troops to the affected area.  But is it really wise for Obama to send thousands of young American men and women into the Ebola death zone?  What are our troops going to do – shoot the virus?  Of course not.  The UN already has 6,000 uniformed peacekeepers in the region, and they are not doing much good.  The truth is that this is a medical crisis that requires medical personnel.  By sending thousands of troops into the heart of the Ebola pandemic, we make it much more likely that Ebola will be brought back to the United States.  Obama should keep in mind that hundreds of health workers have become infected even though they wear protective gear and are trained to deal with Ebola patients.  Our troops have not been trained to deal with Ebola patients and they probably will not be wearing full protective gear when dealing with the general population.  But there are sick people among the general population that could pass Ebola to them. No More Places To Put Ebola Patients In Liberia But Cases Are Growing Exponentially

Ebola Cases And Ebola Deaths - Photo by Leopoldo Martin RThere is not a single empty bed available for an Ebola patient in Liberia right now, but thousands more cases are expected in the coming weeks.  Entire families have been driving around in taxis looking for some place that will take their sick family members, but every treatment facility is already full.  According to the World Health Organization, many of those potential Ebola patients end up returning to their homes where there will inevitably spread the virus to even more people.  What we are watching unfold is literally a nightmare scenario.  According to the WHO, 4,293 cases of Ebola have now been recorded and 2,296 people have died from the disease.  But what makes those numbers so alarming is that the spread of the virus appears to be accelerating.  47 percent of the deaths and 49 percent of the cases have come in the last 21 days.  If Ebola continues to spread at an exponential pace like this, we could be looking at the greatest public health crisis in any of our lifetimes. If You Promote A Cure For Ebola, Men With Guns Could Show Up At Your Door

Police State - Men With Guns At Your Door - YouTube ScreenshotIf I had a cure for Ebola, I could never sell it to you.  I don’t have a cure for Ebola of course, but even if I did I could never promote it.  And if you have a cure for Ebola and you start promoting it on the Internet, men with guns could soon show up at your door.  Unfortunately, I am not kidding.  Even if you have made a discovery that could potentially save millions of lives, that will not earn you an ounce of mercy from the FDA.  In fact, the FDA has just issued a statement that contains a chilling warning for anyone that is claiming that they know how to prevent or cure Ebola.  And without a doubt, FDA bureaucrats are scouring the Internet right now for any sign of an Ebola cure or treatment.  When they find one, they are likely to crack down very hard based on their history.  So if you do have a cure for Ebola, you might want to be very, very careful.  You could end up having men with automatic weapons conducting a military-style raid on your home when you least expect it. Will An Ebola Panic Be Used As An Excuse To Put Large Numbers Of Americans In Camps?

Prison Camp In America - Public DomainNow even the mainstream media is admitting that during an Ebola panic “people could be detained for long periods, merely on a suspicion they might have been exposed to some pathogen.”  As you will read about below, federal law contains some very vague provisions which could be used to indefinitely quarantine large numbers of Americans in the event of a significant Ebola outbreak in the United States.  So where would all of those people be put?  Certainly they would not be mixed in with prison populations, and our hospitals would only be able to handle a very limited number of Ebola patients.  Once our medical facilities are overwhelmed, it is inevitable that those that have Ebola or that are suspected of having Ebola would be housed in temporary holding centers, tent cities, sports stadiums, old military bases and FEMA camps.  Of course strict measures would be taken to ensure that the quarantine is not broken.  So no matter what official name is given to these facilities, they would in essence be prison camps.  No unauthorized personnel would be going in or out.  And since the federal government already has the power to round up and detain anyone “reasonably believed to be infected with a communicable disease”, the potential for abuse is staggering. The One Question About Ebola That Nobody Can Seem To Answer

Questions - Public DomainHow in the world is it possible that more than 170 health workers have been infected by the Ebola virus?  That is the one question about Ebola that nobody can seem to answer.  The World Health Organization is reporting this as a fact, but no explanation is given as to why this is happening.  We are just assured that Ebola “is not airborne” and that getting infected “requires close contact with the bodily fluids of an infected person”.  If this is true, then how have more than 170 health workers caught the disease?  These workers are dressed head to toe in suits that are specifically designed to prevent the spread of the virus.  So how is this happening?  I could understand a handful of “mistakes” by health workers, but this is unlike anything that we have ever seen in the history of infectious diseases.  These health workers take extraordinary precautions to keep from getting the virus.  If it is spreading so easily to them, what chance is the general population going to have?
