Yet another warning that makes it clear that we should all be bracing for a major seismic event along the west coast

While most Americans remain completely fixated on the upcoming presidential election, large earthquakes continue to rattle the Ring of Fire at an alarming rate.  On Monday, a magnitude 7.5 quake struck near the little town of Sand Point, Alaska, and it was felt over a very large area.  In fact, it is being reported that shaking could be felt “as far away as Chugiak, Anchorage and Bethel”.  Following the initial earthquake, there was a series of very large aftershocks.  As I write this article, there have already been 19 aftershocks of at least magnitude 4.0 in the region.  By the time most of you read this article, that number will almost certainly be higher.  Sadly, even though we have been witnessing a lot of shaking along the southern coast of Alaska and the west coast of the continental United States in recent months, very few experts seem concerned about the possibility that a very large seismic event could be coming. Why Have So Many Enormous Earthquakes Hit The United States In Recent Months?

Unusually large earthquakes have been striking diverse locations all over the United States in recent months, and experts are not exactly sure why this is happening.  On Sunday, a very strange magnitude 5.1 earthquake that hit North Carolina made headlines all over the nation.  In fact, when I checked the Drudge Report on Sunday it was the top headline on the entire site.  Earthquakes of this size very rarely happen in the eastern United States, and it is being reported that this quake was the most powerful to hit the state in more than one hundred years… (Read More...)

A Sizable Earthquake Just Hit Los Angeles, And The Clock Is Ticking For The West Coast Of The United States

Every time the west coast shakes, it is another reminder that a day of reckoning is fast approaching.  Someday time will run out and “the Big One” will finally strike, and the devastation will be far more immense than most people would dare to imagine.  Over the last 7 days, there have been 1,957 earthquakes in California and Nevada, but the one that everyone is talking about is the magnitude 4.2 earthquake that just shook up Los Angeles.  According to ABC News, this quake was large enough to trigger “alerts from the state’s new quake warning system”… (Read More...)

California Is Shaken By More Than 80 Earthquakes As Chile Is Hit By The Largest Quake In 12 Years

Very early on Sunday morning, a massive 8.0 magnitude earthquake struck a sparsely populated area of Peru.  As you will see below, it was the largest earthquake to hit Peru in 12 years, and other areas of “the Ring of Fire” experienced unusual shaking afterwards.  Here in the United States, there were dozens of detectable earthquakes in the state of California on Sunday, and a lot of people are concerned about what all of these small earthquakes could mean.  More than 80 percent of the world’s earthquakes happen within the Ring of Fire, and many scientists believe that shaking along one section of the Ring of Fire can put stress on other portions.  Of course we have been told over and over again that California is way overdue for a “Big One”, and we know that it is coming someday.  Let us just hope that it can be delayed for as long as possible. Is It Beginning? 10 Significant Earthquakes Rock The California Coastline As Mount St. Helens Rumbles Back To Life

Scientists tell us that someday the “Big One” will strike California and large portions of the coastline will plunge into the ocean “almost instantly”.  Could it be possible that we are a lot closer to that day than many had anticipated?  Over the past several days, there has been a lot of shaking along the North American portion of the Ring of Fire.  In particular, during a 24 hour period over the weekend one area of the California coastline was hit by 10 earthquakes of at least magnitude 3.0, and this created such a stir that it made the front page of the Drudge Report.  The following comes from a local California newspaper(Read More...)

Is Yellowstone Going To Erupt? New Geysers Are Erupting And “Debris And Rocks” Are Being Hurled Into The Sky…

I watch Yellowstone very closely, because an eruption of the Yellowstone supervolcano could end life as we know it in America in a single moment.  A full-blown eruption of Yellowstone could potentially dump a suffocating layer of volcanic ash that is at least 10 feet deep on almost the entire country, and it would instantly render about two-thirds of this nation completely uninhabitable.  So yes, when Yellowstone starts rumbling there is a reason to pay attention, and right now Yellowstone is starting to rumble in ways that are unprecedented.  That doesn’t mean that an eruption is imminent, but without a doubt what is currently taking place is more than just a little bit alarming. Earth In Travail: Hawaii Has Been Hit By More Than 12,000 Earthquakes Over The Last 30 Days

We haven’t seen anything like this since Hawaii first became a state back in 1959. Kilauea began erupting on May 3rd, and it hasn’t stopped rumbling yet. In fact, authorities are telling us that Hawaii has been struck by “over 12,000 earthquakes” during the last 30 days. That is an extraordinary amount of shaking, and many are now becoming concerned that fundamental physical changes are happening to the islands. As one USGS official has noted, we have never seen earthquakes happen on the Big Island with this sort of frequency ever before(Read More...)

46 Earthquakes Have Shaken California Over The Past 24 Hours

It appears that something unusual is happening along the California coastline.  Over the past 24 hours, California has been hit by 46 earthquakes.  That is approximately twice the normal daily number, and much of the shaking has taken place in the southern part of the state.  In recent weeks I have been writing repeatedly about the alarming seismic activity that we have been seeing along the west coast, and many believe that the potential for a megaquake is significantly higher than normal right now.  Unfortunately, most residents of California are not paying any attention to what is going on at all, and so if there is a major event they will be completely blindsided by it.
