This is the first time that we have had a national election in which one party just kept making one colossal mistake after another.  Ultimately, one of the primary reasons why Donald Trump won is because the Democrats simply self-destructed.  This was an election that could have easily gone either way.  In fact, if the Democrats had been able to hold on to the three “blue wall” states, Kamala Harris would have emerged victorious.  If you check out the electoral map right now, you will see that the margins of victory in those three states were not actually that large.  If the Democrats had run a reasonably competent campaign, things could have turned out very differently. I have never seen so much doubt, worry, anxiety, fear and panic as we approach a presidential election.  All over the country, people are freaking out right now.  Democrats are freaking out because the early voting numbers are so dramatically different from 2020.  Republicans are freaking out because some of the latest polls show Kamala Harris leading in several of the most important swing states.  And just about everyone is feeling uneasy because we simply do not know what is going to happen on Tuesday night.  Will it be a super tight race that drags on long after Election Day?  Will Trump win in a landslide?  Will all the Democrats that didn’t show up during the early voting period magically show up on November 5th?  There are so many unanswered questions, and that is making lots of people extremely nervous. Did you know that FEMA is not answering nearly half of the calls that it receives from those seeking disaster relief in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene?  This amazing fact is being reported by Politico, and it shocked me to the core when I first read it.  If the federal government responds this poorly to a hurricane, what is going to happen when we are facing a major long-term emergency that affects the entire nation?  As I have been consistently warning for years, you should not be counting on the government to come riding in on a white horse to rescue you when global events hit the fan.  Unfortunately, global events may hit the fan a lot sooner than most people think. I have to be honest, the early voting numbers look really good for Donald Trump.  At this stage, Democrats were supposed to have cast more ballots than Republicans in North Carolina, Arizona and Nevada, but instead Republicans have a solid lead in ballots cast in all three states.  Trump’s poll numbers have been surging throughout the month of October, and he clearly has the momentum right now.  There is talk that we could be witnessing a “Kamala collapse”, but there is still one factor that could save the Harris campaign, and it should not be ignored. Most people gleefully celebrate Halloween without ever thinking about how it originated or what our Halloween traditions really mean.  They just assume that it must be okay since almost everyone else is doing it.  Today, Halloween is celebrated all over the world, but that hasn’t always been the case.  In fact, there was a time when most Americans did not celebrate it.  It was only during the 20th century that it actually became a nationwide holiday that was celebrated on a widespread basis, and only within the past few decades has it really taken off as a truly global holiday. We shouldn’t read too much into the early voting results, but the numbers that we have gotten so far are so different from what we witnessed in 2020 that they are impossible to ignore.  Four years ago, Democrats completely and utterly dominated the early voting period, and many of the experts expected the same thing to happen again in 2024.  But that isn’t what we are seeing.  Instead, early voting for the Democrats is down, and early voting for the Republicans is way up.  More than 51 million people have already voted, and the data that we have about those votes is quite startling. We should be so thankful for vigilant election officials that are trying to do a great job of protecting the integrity of our system.  The incidents that I am about to share with you are deeply disturbing, but it is also encouraging that these crimes are being caught.  We should all be able to agree that the American people should be able to choose who they want in 2024.  No matter which side wins or which side loses, the will of the American people should be respected.  Sadly, there are those that wish to interfere in that process, and those people are committing crimes against all of us. It appears that the outcome of this election is likely to completely shock a lot of the experts.  I have spent quite a bit of time today going through the numbers on the University of Florida’s early voting tracker, and I have noticed some very intriguing trends.  First of all, turnout is off the charts.  In 2020, 49 million Americans voted prior to Election Day.  So far in 2024, a whopping 24,981,629 Americans have already voted, and we still have almost two weeks to go until we reach November 5th.  There is so much energy on both sides, and both sides fully expect to win.  Once it is all over, the losing side is going to experience a flood of negative emotion.
