Donald Trump And Kim Jong-Un Sign A Historic Agreement At Their Summit In Singapore – But All The Mainstream Media Can Do Is Whine And Complain

Donald Trump just did what no other president in U.S. history was able to do.  He actually sat down with the leader of North Korea, and at the conclusion of the approximately four hour summit meeting they both signed an agreement which calls for the United States to provide “security guarantees” to North Korea and which calls for the “complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula”.  It was a truly historic day and a truly historic outcome, and yet all the mainstream media in the United States could do was whine and complain.  Throughout their coverage, mainstream media reporters continually tried to put an anti-Trump spin on things.  They claimed that the agreement did not have the “specific wording” that experts were looking for, they pointed out that other agreements in the past have failed, and they continually insisted that the Trump administration was giving Kim Jong-Un too much respect. Facebook Is Hiring “News Credibility Specialists” That Will Pass Judgment On Which Sites Are “Credible” And Which Sites Are Not

The war on “fake news” is about to go to an entirely new level. According to media reports, Facebook has been seeking to hire “news credibility specialists” that will be tasked with “evaluating” which news publishers are “credible” and which are not. If the goal was just to simply filter out the handful of websites that purposely publish fake news stories, that would be fine. But as we have seen so many times in recent years, these types of programs inevitably discriminate against conservative viewpoints. Facebook is highly liberal, and they will be hiring from a California talent pool that is also highly liberal. And liberals invariably consider liberal viewpoints to be more “credible” than conservative viewpoints. The Department Of Homeland Security Plans To Compile A List Of All Bloggers, Journalists And “Social Media Influencers”

Many were hoping that once Barack Obama was out of office we would see less of this Big Brother surveillance nonsense, but instead it seems to be getting even worse.  In fact, the Department of Homeland Security has just announced that it intends to compile a comprehensive list of hundreds of thousands of “journalists, editors, correspondents, social media influencers, bloggers etc.”, and collect any “information that could be relevant” about them.  So if you have a website, an important blog or you are just very active on social media, the Department of Homeland Security is going to put you on a list and will start collecting information about you.  The DHS has already announced that it will hire a contractor to aid in monitoring media coverage, and they will definitely need plenty of help because it is going to be a very big job… (Read More...)

Sales Have Fallen For 26 Quarters In A Row And More Stores Are Closing – Is This The End Of The Line For Sears?

When sales have declined for 26 quarters in a row, you have got to know that your days are numbered.  Once upon a time, Sears was an unbeatable retail powerhouse.  It survived two world wars and the Great Depression, but thanks to competition from Amazon and other online retailers it may not even survive 2018.  On Thursday, shares of Sears fell to a depressingly low level of just $2.91 once news broke that the company was going to close dozens of more stores.  But to be fair, Sears doesn’t have a choice.  If you can believe it, Sears lost an astounding 424 million dollars during the first three months of 2018.  Frankly, I don’t even know how that is possible.  If all their employees did all day was flush one dollar bills down the toilet, I still don’t think that they could lose that kind of money.  This is a company that is being horrendously mismanaged, and as I have said so many times before, Sears is ultimately heading to zero.
